No promises as to what will actually end up being posted in the future but I’m currently working on some Meeting and Dating Kawashima headcanons (from ”Pulse/Kairo” 2001): which will probably end up being the first post on my foreign content blog. As well as Meeting and Dating Han, DK, and Morimoto from the Tokyo Drift movie (separate headcanons of course), and most likely Meeting and Dating Chewie from the Friday the 13th remake: all of which will be posted on my early 2000s blog.
I’ll be posting those saved up headcanons I mentioned on this blog in the meantime and will also most likely be working on the Silas headcanons from the ask I answered probably a week ago(?).
#ive taken to posting asks only when I've completed the posts requested#just to keep better track of things#the silas ask was an exception since it was in reference to a post i made#so apologies if that one takes a while to complete#ill be sure not to forget about it though lol#but anyways i figured you guys would like to know whats coming#so here it is

First Line Game
Rules: List the first lines of your last 20 stories (if you have less than 20, just list them all!). See if there are any patterns. Choose your favorite opening line. tagged by @curiousartemis thank yoooou. oh boy here we go come rain or come shine (Steve/Bucky) Steve doesn’t know when he started sketching Bucky’s eyes. Maybe that time they were sitting in his bedroom and Steve was leaned back against the wall, his sketch pad on his bony knees, and Bucky was at the end of the bed. Arm on the windowsill, looking out into a hazy morning, smog covering the early sunshine. winter wonderland (Mr. Numbers/Mr. Wrench) Numbers doesn’t believe in fate, destiny or chance. He doesn’t believe that some things are just meant to be. Fates colliding, destinies intertwining, or, heaven forbid, God’s will. An odd coincidence here and there and being in the right place at the right time, sure, but not that there is anything in this world that’s ever up to a higher power’s influence. sweetheart like you (Credence Barebone/Percival Graves) Credence knows a lot of people. His work lends itself to meeting new people all the time, all over the world, from photographers to agents to makeup artists to fans. There are always new faces in his life, and Credence doesn’t remember most of them because he has a poor memory, but he does remember the people that stand out the most. emotionally yours (Credence/Graves) The summer of 1919 was one of Credence’s best. It was a mere six months after he’d finally escaped the clutches of his mother. He was finished with Ilvermorny and simply hadn’t gone back home but had gone to live with his friend in Upstate New York. love sick (Credence/Graves) If Credence is grateful for anything, he’s grateful for the summer months. He’s twenty-eight years old and working full time in a MACUSA-owned potions brewery. He brews rare potions and aids in research for experimental potions that one day might cure things such as lycanthropy or eradicate dragon pox, so it’s never seen in the world again. under your spell (Credence/Graves) Graves’ department doesn’t often get called in for magical animal activity, whether a death has been involved or not. There are other departments for it, and it’s unusual to get a request for aid from them. But after a third death Upstate in the Debar Mountain Wild Forest in as many days, for what is suspected human activity, the Department of Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures asks the Auror department to step in. While they suspect humans are killing witches and wizards, they have never seen anything like it before, only referring to it as werewolf-like but not done by werewolves. bound to lose, bound to win (Credence/Graves) There is no particular just like any other day in the Auror department in MACUSA. Each day can be drastically different than the one before it, from being stuck inside all day with paperwork and meetings, to planning and carrying out raids, to emergencies that take them out into the field unexpectedly. automaton (Credence/Graves) Percival Graves was born in the year 2287, son of a Congressman and robotics designer. His father, Silas Graves, was well known for his harsh politics in an already harsh political climate, in favor of more control over the people the way it used to be, rather than the free society they lived in now. let it be me (Credence/Graves) Credence has been acting since he was fourteen years old. His mother, once he’d hit a six inch growth spurt, decided his face was good enough to try out for commercials or small roles. can’t escape from you (Credence/Graves) Vampires. Credence has known very little else in his life. He vaguely remembers that his mother used to talk about witches when he was young, younger than seven or eight. He didn’t understand then, didn’t understand where witches were or why his mother despised them. maybe you’ll be there (Credence/Graves) It’s a cold day in Stranraer, grey clouds overhead, promising rain this evening. The smell of brine is strong here, as Graves stands on the edge of a pier, leaning against a wooden post and looking out over the sea. as i went out one morning (Credence/Graves) When Graves had been taken out of that hole in the ground, weak and malnourished, near death, he had thought life would never be the same for him. dear landlord (Credence/Graves) Credence has been living in the same apartment for the last three years now. He has two roommates, a couple, the same two who had been happy to have him come in when he was two years into his degree at NYU. The first six months with them had been fine besides some cleanliness issues, but it had all gone downhill after that. At a slow pace but downhill nonetheless, with random parties or smoking enough weed inside the apartment that he’d eventually had to threaten leaving because his clothes were starting to smell like it. Cleanliness also took a nose dive and when one of them lost their job, rent was harder to make every month. had a dream about you, baby (Credence/Graves) Credence is eight years old when he has the first dream. It’s a strange dream, where he appears on a grassy hillside, nothing but miles and miles of rolling hills and lakes laid out before him. There’s a towering oak tree nearby and he sits in its shade and looks at leaves on the ground. let’s stick together (Credence/Graves) Credence has lived in Manhattan for twenty-seven years and though it is the busiest, most populated city in the country, not much happens anymore these days to surprise him. simple twist of fate (Credence/Graves) Credence has known tough times in his life. Living under Ma’s rule until he was thirteen and called CPS himself one night, taken away and thrust into the foster care system without knowing what that really meant for him. see that my grave is kept clean (Credence/Graves) Graves leads a raid in mid-January. It’s bitter and cold, snow piled up over the property of a large manor. It looks abandoned but they’ve known for some time that it isn’t. a sunday kind of love (Credence/Graves) Credence sits in the sprawling cafeteria in MACUSA with a chicken salad sandwich, a cup of fresh fruit, and a glass of pomegranate juice. His hour-long lunch break has just started and he’s glad to get away from Mister Ibex’s office. He likes his boss just fine, but the closer it gets to Quidditch season, the more irate he gets about everyone doing their jobs wrong - except you, Credence, he always adds kindly - and he uses his lunch breaks to escape. nevertheless (i’m in love with you) (Credence/Graves) It’s a week before Halloween in Ilvermorny and the castle already has a colony of live bats living on the ceiling in the Great Hall. Their droppings are thankfully charmed to disappear through a barrier a few feet below them but Percy Graves finds them irritating when they start to fly around in cloud-like formations. ain’t no man righteous, no not one (Credence/Graves) Credence gets the message from a Patronus while he’s sitting in bed, reading a book, to come downstairs because there’s work for him. He watches the raven disappear from the end of his bed and sighs, in relief and resignation both. --- alright!!! so I’ve learned I have a bad habit of starting with one simple line of ~feeling or description~ that’ll be explained in the following paragraphs. but I doubt it’ll change my writing haha it was nice walking through these fics tho. they weren’t posted all that long ago but it gave me The Nostalgia™ kind of glad it wasn’t all just credence/graves tbh but it makes me laugh there’s no bilbs and his dratted dwarf considering I have more fics posted for them than anyone else! but I’m at 79 fics and working on my 80th fic to publish so, oh my god. never thought I’d post this much when I first started writing fic! I feel like I should celebrate or something my fave one has to be the second one, a Mr. Numbers/Mr. Wrench fic from Fargo season one c: hey you. if you’ve read this far, guess what? you’re officially tagged and I want to see your fics’ first lines pls and thank you c:

hi, sorry if this is annoying but i think i might be transgender (mtf) and i’m freaking out because i don’t know anything about how to transition or the identity and i was wonder if you have any advice or anything??? thanks a million
Anon, hello! You’re not being annoying at all! I’m sorry this is so late!!
First things first, thank you for trusting me with this. And good for you for reaching out for answers! I’m not MtF, so my experiences are gonna be a little different but I’ll give you a run down of what I did, and list options for you and sorta just explain the identity. At the end, I’ll link the resources I can! Hopefully you’ll find this useful!
(Please be warned that this is going to be long ! Everything is itemized and broken down for hopefully an easy understanding and help!)
My Experience / What I Did
When I realized I was Definitely Not Cis, I was fairly into adulthood. She/Her pronouns made me want to die, but he/him felt like a puzzle piece that could fit, but not quite.
I started talking to a therapist about it, and still continue to this day with talking to my new therapist about it. Over the course of the early sessions, I ended up being diagnosed with gender dysphoria, where there’s distress / discomfort between my assigned gender and my gender identity.
From there, on my old blog, I made a post asking for people to use ‘Silas’ and ‘they/them’ for my pronouns. And it just fit perfectly. I elated that I was being referred to correctly -- the pronouns and the name didn’t make me cringe and want to die.
That’s what I did.
What Is Transgender?
Transgender is the term for someone who does not identity as the gender they were assigned with at birth. They can be a trans man, a trans woman, non binary, genderfluid, etc.
The Steps To Take
Talk to a professional who is trained with and is supportive of the LGBTQIA+ community. While it’s not required per se, I very much recommend it. Talking to a professional is incredibly useful for many reasons:
You can get your thoughts and feelings out to a non biased party.
They can help navigate and help you figure out the steps to take.
It’s good to talk to someone! This person can become part of your support network!
Find a supportive community! There’s a thriving trans community on Tumblr, and elsewhere on the internet!
These people are the ones you can go to and talk and ask questions about being trans and transitioning. People’s experiences vary and everyone has different insight!
They will also be a support network for when you need it!
And it doesn’t always need to be online, you can search up local groups where you live, there should be something nearby. If not, that’s okay! Internet friends are real friends too!
I really love r/transpositive and r/asktransgender! Everyone on those two subreddits are so nice and incredible. r/lgbt is also really cool!
I don’t know any community blogs here on Tumblr since I follow only writeblr’s but someone is likely to know something.
I’ve also got an LGBT+ based writeblr discord if you wish to join a welcoming & incredible community! There are also non writing LGBTQIA+ discords! I’m in one for gaming, and r/lgbt’s mod’s run a discord as well called Spectrum. Highly recommend.
Play around with names & pronouns -- and you can also play around with styles too! You’re discovering yourself and your identity. Do what you feel is comfortable.
You can ask a close group of friends you know would be supportive of you to refer to you with she/her pronouns (or whatever pronouns you prefer!), and a name you would like to be called by!
It’s okay if you pick a name now and want to change it later! Names are an important part of your identity and you need to feel comfortable with it!
Dress in clothes that’s considered to be for women. You don’t have to do super femme if you don’t want to! Like, there is no wrong way to dress and present yourself! There’s butch, there’s femme, there’s an in between, etc.
After all, we don’t force cis women to dress super femme and model like (and doubt their gender identity and presentation), so we shouldn’t expect trans women to adhere to those standards either.
However there is nothing wrong with wanting to do! If that sundress makes you feel like a model, and make up makes you feel wonderful, go for it!! And if dressing in jeans, boots, and a t-shirt makes you feel happy, do that!! Dress in a style that makes you feel happy about yourself!
If anyone complains, punch them. Or Snip Snip.
HRT / Transitioning - Hormone Replacement Therapy. This is the act of taking hormones to develop secondary sex characteristics -- trans men take testosterone (T) and trans women take estrogen. Doctors will also sometimes prescribe another hormone to go with it.
If you decide to transition, estrogen will cause a development of breasts, softer skin, fat distribution will be more feminine, and you’ll also develop curves. Essentially, you’ll be going through the typical female puberty.
You don’t have to take hormones if you do not want to or are not ready yet! This is not a be all, end all situation! Take your time and do research on it and the effects it will have!
If anyone tells you that you have to take HRT to be a ~real trans person~, punch them. They have no right telling you what you should do with your body.
This also leads me back to point one: the professional will be able to help you figure this out and help be a support during the process.
Starting Transition
Depending on where you are and your age is what will be available to you.
Some countries do not allow those under the age of eighteen to transition. Some do with explicit parental consent. Be sure to research this as well.
I don’t know if this has changed since I was a youngin, but you would have typically needed a diagnosis if gender dysphoria* in order to get the doctor’s okay and prescription to start HRT. There are exceptions to everything.
This also may depend on local laws too, so check those out!
Depending on what you’re prescribed, you may take birth control, you may have to take shots, etc.
Where you get your hormones also largely depends on where you are too. Here in the United States, universities offer them at their on site clinics (mine does, anyways!), and some Planned Parenthood’s also prescribe hormones too! I can’t speak for other countries, and I wouldn’t even know where to begin looking for you.
HRT is also hella expensive in some places.
If you live in a country with universal health care, it shouldn’t be too much of a problem!
Coming Out -- Don’t come out unless you are ready & you are in a safe environment to do so!
This is basically LGBTQIA+ 101. If you are not safe to do so, do not do it. I know it sucks, but your safety is absolutely number one!
Everything is going to be okay. You are okay, there is nothing wrong with you.
There are certain groups of people who will tell you that your identity may be ~wrong~ or whatever arguments they can think of. Do your best to ignore them, and when you need to, vent to the people you trust.
Things To Check Out
YouTubers:uppercaseCHASE is a trans man who talks about trans issues and his own transition. He has an HRT 101 series that might be helpful! His expertise is FTM (Trans men) so there will be things that might not be as helpful. Educational videos, however!
arielle scarcella - while i do not like her very much and disagree with a lot of her beliefs, she’s a cis lesbian who has done videos in the past that’s educational about trans people -- and frequently has trans women on her channel where they talk about their experiences with HRT, as well as Gender Affirming Surgery if they’ve had it. (same goes for trans men!)
andrea chrysanthe is a trans woman who has documented her experience with transitioning and does life updates. She recently released a two part video that talks a lot about it. (warning: I haven’t watched all of her videos, and some look to be NSFW for at least talk of kink so be careful going in!)
melanie-ish is another trans woman youtuber! she talks about political issues as well as her own experience with transitioning and coming out. (warning: she hasn’t updated her channel in two years!)
PRINCESSJOULES is another trans woman who also documents her life as a trans woman! She also does make up tutorials, vlogging, and a lot of other things!
jammidodger is a trans man who talks about his experience with transitioning. he is by far one of my most favorite youtubers!
(if anyone else has any youtuber recommends, feel free to add on!)
trans resources -
leolines on etsy. they sell underwear for trans women -- a safer alternative to tucking. they also have binders! fairly inexpensive, and so many styles and designs!
the trevor project’s international center - the trevor project in general is absolutely amazing! they have a lot of resources on their website from phone numbers you can call if you’re feeling suicidal to groups and support groups! this link, if you are out of the united states and are looking for something, will give you a listing of international resources!
transgender law center - legal services and advocacy for trans folks!
trans women of color collective - an advocacy group for trans women of color! they do a lot to help trans women of color! check them out, they’re super cool!
trans youth equality federation - they provide support for family membes of trans youth, trans youth, and allies. as well as education!
gender spectrum - provides support for all trans youth, as well as education for families and educators!
I AM: trans people speak - a project that was made to raise awareness of about the diversity that exists within the transgender community.
glaad - resources - glaad is a well known organization for advocacy and education!
WHEW ANON that was a lot. Hopefully you made it through to the end, and hopefully it was helpful! I hope those links above help provide some use for you and figuring out what steps you want to take.
On that note, if anybody who has read this wants to add on, they are free to do so. The above is only advice, from one person whose experience is one of millions and still, different.
AND ANON, one more thing! If you wish to talk, you are so much welcome to DM me! They’re open for non mutuals :)!
Good luck on your journey, may it provide you happiness!
#letters#anon#trans stuff#trans advice#advice#support#i truly do hope this was helpful#and if anybody else would like to provide advice or support#or even words of encouragement for anon#they're free to do so#Anonymous

“Sila Has Helped Me Grow As An Individual” – Raghav Kapur, Region Head – South India, Sila.
At SILA, employee experience is more important than ever. As our Founder and Managing Director, Sahil Vora says, ” I get more excited when someone gives me a reference for a great candidate over a business lead.”, emphasizing more on the team growth and performance has always been a priority. Meet Raghav Kapur, 26, who joined as an intern and now heads the South Indian region at SILA, talking about how SILA has trusted in him and helped him grow as an individual, in his employee journey.
In his words,
Q. WHAT IS YOUR ROLE IN SILA ?
A. Currently heading the South India Region for SILA in all verticals, i.e Facility Management, Mr.Homecare, SILA Projects, Envocare, and recently in real estate advisory.
Q. TELL US ABOUT YOUR BACKGROUND. HOW DOES IT HELP YOU IN THE WORK YOU DO?
A. I studied Mechanical Engineering from the UK and had been a Science Student prior to that. Although, Engineering didn’t help me in the Facility Management Space, it definitely made me think analytically and get me used to long working hours. Recently, I have been able to accelerate the contracting side of business as I had prior knowledge of Engineering Drawing.
Q. HOW HAS YOUR CAREER PATH BEEN?
A. I’ve always wanted to be an Entrepreneur myself. Post Graduation, I was very keen to enter into the Renewable Energy space. I had also spent time in Africa exploring the Hydro Power Potential in Uganda with the aim of setting my own plant. However, the risk seemed a little too high at such a young age. So I shifted my focus to the Hydro Power in Himachal Pradesh.
I had joined Mr. Homecare a few years ago as an Intern, when they were extending their services in Bangalore. Under the mentorship of Rushabh, the learning curve for me has been so exceptional that it actually prompted me to postpone the Hydro Power Project. The Company has been growing at an exponential rate and I am glad to be a part of it.
Today, I am a Proud Regional Head.
Q. HOW DO YOU MAINTAIN YOUR WORK LIFE BALANCE? WHICH HAVE BEEN SOME OF THE MOST CHALLENGING MOMENTS IN SILA?
A. Honestly, there have been a lot of challenging times at SILA. I think the few that stand out are the time I had got a call from Rushabh asking me to take over as the City Head – Bangalore. I was just 24 at that time, and I wasn’t sure if I was capable enough to take on the entire responsibility, especially since the team itself was completely fresh. I even remember telling Rushabh that I don’t know if I will be able to manage it, but call it luck, Rushabh saw something in me that even I didn’t and convinced me, thankfully the entire SILA Ecosystem supporting me. Other challenging moments were trying to keep up with the growth, honestly. Just when you manage to grasp one vertical, you are already introduced into the next because of the opportunities presented to us. I faced the same when I was introduced to the Projects’ Vertical, having said that I think it’s a great way to Learn, and very few companies in today’s world offer such opportunities.
I have always been into gym and sports, so no matter how tight my Work Schedule maybe, I try to squeeze in some gym time along with a bit of football during the week. I try to keep my phone away during that time.
Q. HOW HAS YOUR JOURNEY BEEN IN SILA?
A. Honestly, I think it’s been one of the most important phases of my life. Initially, SILA was a distraction because I had no plans of working for any company while I was attracted towards the Hydro Power Plant in Himachal. It was during my wait period ( because of the Indian Bureaucratic System), and it was then when I was introduced to Rushabh through a common friend and luckily for me SILA was in the process of setting up Mr. Homecare in Bangalore and were looking for someone to help out locally. I have even slowed down on pursuing the power plant because of the way SILA has helped me to grow as person. Today, I have invested into the company as well, as I think no matter what happens in the future, I would always consider myself to be a part of SILA and hopefully help take it to greater heights in the future.
– Thanks, Raghav.

crash course: ust-fop-mt MAJOR courses & profs that i’ve had so far
1st year - 1st sem:
general chemistry (aka chem100, genchem)
topics: importance of chemistry, matter, laboratory apparatus, laboratory protective wear&conduct, significant figures, atomic structure, electronic configuration, separation techniques, periodic table, compounds, cations and anions, chemical formula writing, lewis structure & molecular geometry, chemical bonds, intermolecular forces, mole, kinetic molecular theory, gas laws, basic types of chemical reaction, stoichiometry, concentration units, titration (basic), types of aqueous solution, electrochemistry, calorimetry.
chem100 lecture (aka chem100lec, lec, chemlec - in general)
ma’am suratos: age is ((she’s old na)) ok. she’s a very nice and may mom vibes. has favoritism, pero she gives fair grades - kaya work hard. yes, she fails students BUT that’s her last option - if wala talaga then wala. she absolutely HATES cheating. ayaw niya sa claretiano, pero though my class has the most claretians sa block, she rlly likes us. fast-paced magturo pero if you listen magegets mo naman. she always sets a first impression, so ‘pag negative na yung dating mo sa kanya, prove her wrong and she’ll like you so. her quizzes are easy, exams... saks lang, basta you studied.
doesn’t use powerpoint.
chem100 laboratory (aka chem100lab, chemlab, lab)
sir paulin: mid 40s na ata si sir. he was the partner of ma’am suratos sa lab namin so we had like two profs there. his lessons are straight to the point, and since tandem sila ni ma’am saamin - his discussion became somehow easy kasi ma’am will discuss it instead pero i heard na it’s hard to understand what he teaches so... gdluck. my first impression of him: masungit. he hated us on the first day kasi no one was listening to him, so like pinahirapan niya kami on the first few weeks pero naglaho rin yung hatred kasi may favorite siya sa class namin HAHA. he’s nice really on the inside, he doesn’t frequently fail his students. his quizzes are hard if you didn’t study, and honestly mas nahirapan ako sa chemlab rather than chemlec (and mas mababa rin ako sa lab). he kinda has a lisp, when using the letter “s” ahem like me.
-btw, ang hirap makinig ng lesson kapag nasa **central lab kayo, just saying.
**central lab (central laboratory), located near dapitan side. if ‘di pa obvious, this is a laboratory building.
sometimes uses powerpoint.
introduction to medical technology (aka mt1a)
topics:
ma’am ruby: she’s a graduated from ust-medtech also, topped at rank 19 on the mt boards last 2005 ata??? she bases her lessons and powerpoints on the book that she co-wrote: “introduction to medical technology practice in the ph setting.” it’s a small book lang and can be bought in dapitan c&e, it’s not required pero since it’s a major and is my program, i bought it. quizzes and exams are all based on her powerpoint = book, it’s always memorization yung tipong super super overload. we would often have cancelled quizzes/meetings kasi she’s a busy person, legit. she stutters a lot pero it’s very obvious na she knows what she’s saying - and i really admire her for that! kung may mas malala pang may ayaw sa cheaters kay ma’am suratos, well ma’am ruby is here to prove to you na meron pa nga!
always uses powerpoint.
1st year - 2nd sem:
analytical chemistry (aka chem301, anachem - in general)
topics: concentration units, precipitations, solutions, raoult’s law, boiling point elevation, freezing point depression, rate law, integrated rate law.
analytical chemistry lecture (aka chem301lec, anachemlec)
sir madarang/sir cj: i feel the smart vibes from him. he graduated in ust-biochem. he teaches briefly, fastly, and straight to the point and gets mo agad yung lesson. he teaches simply lang, and uses analogy to make the understand of a concept easier. he easily gets annoyed, and sobrang visible nun like ‘di niya ihihide. he remembers the name of the people who recites (which is a good thing guys, usually may plus points if they know you). he gives his powerpoint thru **eleap/blackboard and it’ll be convenient if you’ll print/save it na for reference while the lesson is on going. he does the reciting thing while you stand on your place/you answer sa board. quizzes niya are all application ng mga formula na tinuturo niya, usually 1/2 crosswise lang haha. he gives partial points, something ma’am suratos/sir paulin will never do. requires calculator.
**eleap/blackboard academic website for announcements, quizzes, take home hw/sw/quizzes, dump ng powerpoint ng profs na generous.
always uses powerpoint.
analytical chemistry laboratory (aka chem301lab, anachemlab)
sir paulin and ma’am suratos: they’re both more lenient to us now, idk why. all we’ve done so far are activities: making a solution, precipitating, centrifuging it, aspirating it, while following the schematic diagram. oh, kayo rin pala gagawa ng schematic diagram niyo! yung quizzes so far memorization lang, wala pang practical.
** we had our ppt from sir paulin when we were having our finals na, but that’s it.
biological science (biosci)
topics: the four tissues (epithelial, muscle, connective, and nervous), microscopy, cell.
ma’am lee and ma’am ranido: so we got maam lee for lab and maam ranido for lec. maam lee doesn’t like a noisy class and my class is noisy af, so she doesn’t give us her handouts/ppts. maam ranido gives handouts/ppts pero they’re not from her, like it’s from someone else (probably another prof who’s teaching the same thing). new currciculum wouldnt have this subject, kaya don’t waste your time on this lmao. ma’am lee’s always absent, but she teaches well. pero lagi lang talga busy kaya ma’am ranido takes her spot nalang.
** uses powerpoint presentations!! giving them out will vary with how the class is (noisy, etc)
psy 1 (general psychology)
maam agustin: she came from the college of science, so strict siya. she sits down lagi when teaching and most often than not resorts to showing videos than teaching the topics herself. if she doesn’t like your block, she’ll often have quizzes right after a lecture and it’ll be recorded. so wag niyo bad trip-in.
** uses ppts. but giving it out would vary also with how the class behaves.
2nd year - 1st sem:
phyana (physiology and anatomy) lec
topics: cell, tissues, and organ systems
ma’am ibarrientos: she teaches so good!! she likes to repeat the things she teaches like literally paulit-ulit to the point na sobrang nareretatin siya sa utak mo. she finds ways para tumaas grades ng students niya. she has a good voice, perfect for teaching but tends to lose it sometimes din kasi she teaches a lot of class. she has comprehensive ppts and she gives them out also. lahat ng tinuro niya lumalabas sa quiz niya but if hindi siya yung gumawa ng exam, try asking other blocks kung anong nadiscuss nila kasi she tends to miss out on stuffs na lalabas sa exam.
** uses ppts and gives them out. multiple choices type of quizzes with identification na 5-10 items and morse type na true or false!
phyana (physiology and anatomy) lab
sir flores and maam meim: solid tandem!! sir flores was a student if ma’am meim and ang cute nila magturo haha. sir flores is the kind of prof you wish you always have for you majors (although bacteriology daw talaga siya solid), he’s still solid though! there was a time he taught us the four common tissues without only the whiteboard marker on his hand, and no ppts. (did i mention he was a top notcher for the boards before? yup) tapos ang fun pa niya as a prof, nakikiride siya with his students haha. ma’am meim was my prof na before and still the same pa rin naman siya. they both love giving out quizzes na WHOLLY identification, so wag na umasa sa multiple choice, if it’s not identification: it’s most probably true or false questions, that’s it.
uses ppts and gives them out!
chem 200 (organic chemistry, orgchem)
topic: nomenclature, the 12 common organic compounds (ie alcohol, sulfides, esters, etc), mechanisms and reactivity, enantiomers
chem 200 lec
sir torres: he’s the prof you always see na parang true scientist! he’s hard to listen into kasi he’s old and kinda hirap na magsalita. but mostly, you’ll have to teach yourself with his subject kasi he teaches in a way na parang you already know the topic by your own. he doesn’t use ppt and messily writes in the board, kung saan lang abot niya while he’s sitting down. tell your sergeant of arms to get a microphone for him. his quizzes are the type of quizzes na YOU should have studied and know the topic by heart, or else gg ka.
no ppt.
chem 200 lab
ma’am diño and ma’am crisostomo: ma’am diño’s a bagets since medyo fresh grad pa siya ng biochem of ust! she’s super super nice and approachable and she understands the students the most. she hates cheating so much, kaya don’t even try. she notices every little detail like same erasures as your seatmate ganun. ma’am crisostomo was pregnant when she was teaching us and she literally hated us so much, kasi noisy talaga block ko. but she teaches well, as does ma’am diño, super gusto ko sila both. i learned to love orgchem because of them and i loved our lab work (except for the lab reports). quiz is usually identification kasi mga name ng organic compounds yung quiz, and all that.
sometimes uses ppts (especially for post labs), doesn’t give them out.
I’LL KEEP THIS UPDATED, this is by far the most updated.
