The threat Eddie’s hands imposed didn’t last long. Buck took them both in his before they reached his neck and rapidly maneuvered them behind the shorter man’s back, pulling him in as a consequence. They were suddenly very, very close.

Eddie would be lying if he said his heart didn’t immediately jump. He could practically feel the heat coming off Buck’s skin from under his own shirt. Still, he wasn’t at peace, so he struggled. Hard. “Let go of me.”

“Tell me what’s going on with you first” urged Buck, his voice soft for the situation. It was maddening, but it was working. No matter how much he moved, he somehow ended up farther into his arms, like quicksand. “You’re acting like a lunatic and I deserve to know why.”

He grunted and scoffed, opening and closing his mouth several times, a bit of a reality check washing over him. “I- uh, I plead the fifth.”

Buck’s grip became tighter, and he was forced to look at him, swallowing. Staring into anyone’s eyes was easy for him, but he wouldn’t win against these.

“For someone who came in here banging on my door and demanding to come inside, you sure seem like you have nothing to say.”

Again, he had no option but to swallow. Truth be told, he wasn’t really thinking. There were few moments in his life where his vision was completely red, and this was one of them. If only he hadn’t listened to her.

His muscles tightened, an uncomfortableness setting in his every fiber. He felt like he was coming down from a very painful high, and he wasn’t ready to face anyone about it, especially not Buck. “Let go of me” he ordered. “Now.”

Instead of stepping back, the blond man moved closer, letting go of Eddie’s arms but cornering him against the kitchen aisle. “Not until you calm down.”

But how was he supposed to? Everything she told him was real, and the proof was right before his eyes. He had marched in here with a purpose, but that purpose was misguided. He was everything she told him he was. “I can’t.”

It could have been the uneasiness in Eddie’s eyes, or maybe the fact he owed him, but before either could do anything about it Buck was leaning down and capturing his lips with his own.

It was one fast kiss, touch and go, just to calm him down, he told himself. It quickly became hungry.

Eddie’s hands pushed on his chest almost desperately, trying to fight him off, but Buck kept him steady by the hips, overpowering him until he relaxed under his touch. No less than three minutes.

“Eddie” he pleaded, his voice breaking as he put some distance between them. “Please tell me what’s going on with you.”

Thing is, Eddie’s brain had stopped working around the same second he felt Buck’s tongue. He had desired this for so long, and now that he had it… he didn’t deserve it. “No” he finally said, pushing Buck away softly. “I’m not gonna let it happen like this.”

“Eddie” insisted Buck. “It’s just you and me.”

A spark of something lit up inside him. So Buck was alone. Simultaneously and unwillingly, the pit in his stomach deepened. “You didn’t- did you- well did she-”

“There was no date, Eddie,” said Buck, stopping his train of thought rather violently. “Did you really think I was gonna go after you kissed me? You kissed me. Have you thought about that? You kissed me.”

“You keep repeating it like it’s the worse thing that’s happened to you” he barked, hitting him on the shoulder. Honest to god, he had no idea how to dig himself out of this situation and he was starting to panic.

Buck took one step closer and Eddie’s breath hitched, his heartbeat raising. He couldn’t stop staring. “No, Eddie, it wasn’t. And if you had asked me to stay, I would have.”

Joe seems to be possessed by the watchers maybe? Theres something fucked up going on there tho lmao. but we knew that.

CLEO though. Shes intresting. Shes surrounded by spiderwebs for one, (in arachnes place i believe?) but we see her turning to stone. And shes a gorgon so maybe turning herself into stone in some way? Shes also called the 'eternal prisoner' so shes kinda suck lmao. But not ALONE as the other hermits are able to reach and talk to her. (She mentions that the server talks)

Joel, is mentioned to be a fallen/former god in some way, but its unknown exactly how /that/ all happened. Hes now a 'vengeful' nymph. He's seen with a dagger (ever the violent, that one is) Hes waiting for etho. Etho is known to be a 'genius' maybe etho has something to do with getting back god hood? Maybe he was kicked out for being an asshole. Shit wait. Iskalls crysalization and Cleos becoming rock are probably intertwined in some way- theyre mentioned by impulse as being fucked with by the watchers. Bdubs was cut off- which seems to be one of the watchers signature moves. so thats cool ya know. Grian mentions that the watchers want nothing to do with him- he has a watchers mask in his collection though, so im assuming that hes an ex watcher in some way. Hermits are also going /missing/. Which i think is what we saw happening with Ren there in the end. I was also wrong about the hermits you have medallions having significance. TLDR: So idea on what the story is. So i think the watchers released? are working with? The dragon to cause havoc on the hermits in some way. Hurting and attacking the people. For some reason the pc is called upon to stop the dragon. Alas the watchers are actively interfering to stop the pc from killing the dragon. (And maybe thus freeing the hermits?) I dont know why though. Hermits have some fucked shit going on. Cleo and Iskall have the same effect. Ren and Etho are in the same situation. Hypno wants to kill

Im not exactly 100% sure how much I can and cannot confirm (at least to not spoil future projects and such) but I will say that you're pretty close! Not exactly there yet, but close on a lot of things :)

Okay I haven’t made many posts with her included (which im gonna do 😂) but I LOVE Ayako

She’s very beautiful and i think in a way that’s unconventional compared to many mangas. Curly haired female characters are really uncommon in manga, so seeing a girl like ayako was really surprising. I think her features overall make her look really realistic. Like she looks morrocan or dominican, and the fact that she’s portrayed to be canonically beautiful makes it so that her features are portrayed in a positive light

Also she’s literally the backbone of the team? Part of why Miyagi stayed for hs basketball was because she encouraged the team so well. She’s been there since before the team was good, like how akagi and kogure were. And throughout the series, she gave the boys ALOT of support. Like girl was literally the one who taught Sakuragi the basics??

Sawakita is also very different from other sports manga rivals. I mean he gets made fun of by his own team, mf cries SM. He has fangirls and I think he treats them well (shown by how he wore a t shirt one of them gifted).

He’s not a bad person either, he even helped Rukawa up when he fell down. He was very encouraging towards his teammates too when he was benched. DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED ON HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH HIS PARENTS?? He’s so respectful to them, boy was out there thanking them for everything when he was drunk on a plane. Plus from his backstory, i think it shows he really loves his dad. Some yall mfs could never LMAOOO

I think his dynamic with Rukawa and Sakuragi too. He was funny asl with Sakuragi. And I like that Sawakita was part of what pushed Rukawa to improving as a player (as well as Sendoh). ALL THAT AND HES GOOD LOOKING???

But towards the end of the series, dude was honestly stunning asl. Like he needs to put me on to whoever threaded his eyebrows

Honestly he seems like such a chill person to be friends with?? He seems so open minded, i fr cant see him as the type to judge anybody or treat anybody badly. I think at his school everyone likes him for how down to earth he is (and his looks LOLLL)

I also have anger issues and its very easy to make me angry.

My biggest love language is words of affirmation, I would say "I love you" and stuff like that very often. The second one is probably physical touch, but sometimes I might not be in a mood but otherwise I love hugs and kisses!

Likes: Everything related to horror, food (especially sweets), games, cute things, plushies I do art!

This leads to her randomly surprising you sometimes, with cheeky little hugs or cheek kisses, while these are big steps for her she still loves doing it because she loves the smile it gives you, and that's always enough to brighten her mood all the same.

Her fits of anger and chaos, are almost always ways for her to mask her vulnerability, and she hates feeling vulnerable since it just reminds her of the times in her past where she felt useless or completely powerless. She may accidentally lash out at you sometimes if there's miscommunication, but she quickly realizes what she's doing almost every time, and while she may not apologize as frequently as you would, she still feels incredibly bad and will do what she can to make it up to you, whether its just taking a day to just spend time with you and show you love or spend some time making something nice for you, like a mechanical baby animal or get you a game that you'd like.

While she can be really hyper-focused on whatever project she's working on, she still can't dream of ever ignoring you especially when you make her feel so secure. She doesn't want you to ever feel insecure or feel like she isn't interesting in what you're saying or doing, since the project is probably with you in mind anyways. She will always try her best to make you feel included in whatever she's doing, and since she usually likes the ideas you come up with, she'll even let you take part in what she's working on. This girl just loves your presence 24/7!

Overall, your relationship with her can be a little chaotic at times, but the love is strong and she would never put you in any kind of danger that she'd usually be causing otherwise. You help her to cope with her insecurities in ways other than fits of violence, while still keeping true to her nature, and she loves that she finally has somebody who she feels safe being vulnerable with. aside from briala/celene, colombe, fleur and couteau are absolutely my favs. the way you looked at these side characters, gave them so much personalities then presented them beautifully in your works got me on a chokehold 😭 "that which shatters over and over and still beats" astounds me so much; briala thought they were reflections of celene but in the end they are briala's instead. absolutely heartbreaking 10/10 would reread and cry again. so like, i'm crawling in here asking if you have any crumbs about them that you can share for the starving peasant (i got it bad for colombe; tbh, all three of them but if i'm going to be stabbed to death like that one guy in colombe's chapter i hope it's colombe)

Colombe is probably the person who has the most conflicted feelings about Celene. Even Briala is more consistent about what she feels about Celene. There's a lot of love there, from both parts, but there's also a lot of anger from Colombe - that is not, at all, misplaced. She would die for Celene, but she views it as her duty rather than an act of love. Although if pressed, she would say that she does love Celene - which yes, she does, but its complicated. She's the most romantic out of the three main ladies in waiting, and she's best at defensive techniques when she fights. Im pretty sure she shares her VA with Celene, so that's where her whole backstory comes from.

Fleur is, unsurprisingly, the leader of the all the ladies in waiting - I headcanon that there are at least thirteen ladies in waiting (10 for the countries of Thedas, and they act as spies ambassadors, and advisors to Celene on how to deal with the diplomats of the rest of the nations. the three main ones we see are the 'domestic' ones, and the onest Celene trusts the most - or rather actually trusts). Fleur really does become sort of a proto-mantillon, too; only she never does marry -she has her affairs - and she is the that is almost blindly loyal to Celene. She never really gets the hang of combat.

Couteau's siblings all make very respectable marriages instigated and organized by Celene. Couteau is, of course, the assassin and the one who coordinates the still remain assassin household that exists in the palace - tho, they all have other jobs too, Celene isn't big on letting things lie still. She's the only one of them who's married - she and husband are cordial, not very affectionate even tho Celene did try to find a love match for her. Couteau is very close to Colombe and Fleur and her feelings for Celene are refreshingly simple and straighforward - Celene appreciates that a lot about her.

ANSWERING THIS SO LATE THAT VIN/WENDY ARE BACK TOGETHER I'M SORRYYYY

I'm actually cackling at you acting delulu because I remember I dropped many MANY hints of the Wendy/Vince break up and you were in my inbox completely ignoring them and me thinking "damn, am i being too subtle???"

Its so funny (and terrible) to be answering this late, because I can totally say the things I was nervous about. So ORIGINALLY Vin/Wendy didnt get back together, they actually broke it off for good and Wendy feeling very isolated from her friend group relapsed in her eating disorder.

But then Wendy kinda girl bossed her way into getting back with Vince, which was not planned, AND opened up to Bella, that was also not planned at all. So I scrapped that storyline! I still want to do something with her E.D, I remember I got an ask ages ago that was something like "Wendy refuses to eat because she's feeling queasy, Vince thinks she relapsed and tries to push her, only to have it come back up and he realizes she's actually sick", so I'll probably write that! A more mild version of what I originally had in mind!

And I'm SORRY i'm a terrible person but I'm sooo proud of myself for making you cry in public. I need a blog badge just for that #angster
