Uncharismatic Fact of the Day
Most sea snakes live in the sea, but the Lake Taal sea snake sure doesn't! This species is found only in Lake Taal, a freshwater lake on the island of Luzon in the Philippines. In fact, the lake was originally saltwater, but was closed off from the sea by a volcanic eruption in the 16th century, and the Lake Taal sea snake has since adapted to the drastic decrease in salinity.

The 10th chapter of “THE BLIND WIZARD - The curse of the lake” is out ! Check it out -> HERE !
Once again, I apologize for the slow update. I am not far from being halfway through the story as I planned it. However, now is time for me to take a little break (others projets on the side are desperately waiting to be attended to haha!) But worry not, I am far from done, and "The Blind Wizard" will make its return ! As for now, please enjoy your read :)

After it was thrown in the lake, the slug grew to such size that it began to occasionally come ashore and terrorize the countryside with its appetite and its poisonous spit. Eventually the worm was subdued, but the gold ring could neither be retrieved from under it, nor could they manage to kill the creature. Instead they chose to tie its head and its tail to the bottom of the lake. Its continued growth since then means that its body occasionally reaches the surface, or even arches above it. The sightings of this phenomenon are considered ill omens.

"CAPE BRETON LAKE HAS SEA SERPENT," Brantford Expositor. April 20, 1934. Page 3. ---- Monster Has Startled the Residents for 60 Years ---- SYDNEY, N.S., April 20. - (CP) - Down around Serpent Lake they've been listening for a long time to these sea monster yarns. They've heard about British Columbia's Cadborosaurus and her Ogopogo; of the Caribbean sea beast, and of the monster that lurks in the Scottish Loch Ness.
And the time has come, they're saying now, to show up these monsters for what they really are just upstarts. For little Serpent Lake, just outside Sydney. has the original sea serpent. Or so they will tell you. For that matter, the oldest inhabitants aver, the lake's calm waters may house a whole family of serpents. At any rate, if there's only one, he's a might old monster. Very likely the patriarch of all present- day monsters, for he or his descendants has been kicking around the lake these 60 years and more.
The present generation remembers when he was first seen, about 60 years ago. It was a sunny spring day, and the women of the district had gone down to the lake to wash the sheep's wool after the shearing.
They paid little attention to a big log floating offshore-until it start- ed moving swiftly towards land. Terrified, they ran, leaving the wool on the bank. When they returned with the menfolk, the beast had dis- appeared.
Probably the men didn't take much stock in the story then. But after a few more residents had seen the same thing, they became interested One day a group went down to the lake prepared to finish off this serpent, or whatever it was.
The roar of exploding dynamite echoed across the lake. Bodies of small fish popped to the surface, but that was all. This was evidently a tough monster. Anyway, he survived to give two boys the fright of their lives when they threw stones at a big log some years later.
The boys ran home and told their parents he had reared up 15 feet out of the water. Other youths claimed to have seen him again the following winter, crashing through the coating of ice on the lake surface.
But the nearest thing to a description of the serpent comes from an aged lady living now in Sydney. who says she saw him while she was in a boat on the lake a few years ago. Forty-five feet she says he stands-swims, rather-with skin like an elephant. Huge flippers propel him through the water at a terrific clip.
Now what about Caddy, Ogopogo and Company? Ask the Serpent Lake residents.

BREAKING: Champ on Sonar?!
Katy Elizabeth known from her Champ Search, recently was messaged by Scott Thurber. He was out fishing within a “ball of bait” area, and happened to glance over at his Garmin, and quickly took a screen shot that captured this incredible image that looks like the shape and form. Of what New Yorkers and Vermonters would identify, as Champ the Lake Champlain Sea Serpent. Katy will be conducting an…
