Arriety themed school year🌱🌿

This year, I want a ghibli school year but, like, arriety themed. I want a garden in my room, comforting candles, early mornings, confidence, time outside in nature,papers scattered on an antique roll top desk, breezy curtains, painting to relax, green themed everything, fall leaves and rain, crochet stuff everywhere, Scooby doo playing in the back ground, eggs on toast, fairy lights, brown blankets and cream pillows, claw clips, red dresses, leg warmers, and most importantly my pet turtle to chill with me while I study Jane austen, I know arriety is more spring or summer but that's the school year I want<3

My new year's resolution is to watch the rest of the studio ghibli films since I've only actually seen 5 or 6 of the more 'popular' ones. We started with Arriety last night and while there are a lot of things I could say about how good it is, the thing I loved the most is the music. Arriety's Song is haunting.

just watched the secret world of arriety for the first time and it was absolutely gorgeous it’s so good and while it may not be one of my favorites i really appreciated the more mundane story at least compared to other movies like castle in the sky and howls moving castle idk it was just really nice :)

i think the story could’ve been a tad more interesting while keeping it simple with some interactions on a smaller level like with the rats or more exploration around the house from the borrowers point of view but overall it was a solid film!

OH NO I CLICKED ON THE BOY AND THE HERON WITHOUT EVEN THINKING ABOUT ARRIETY!! THE BORROWERS WERE SO MUCH OF MY CHILDHOOD!!!

My favorite part of The Secret World of Arrietty was the exploration that happened mostly in the first half of the movie. I really enjoyed seeing Arrietty navigate the world around her as a tiny person.
