Obsessed with how Irving acted in the most recent Severance episode and how it was clearly his past expirence in the military that influenced the way he acted. How he immediatly started thinking about food, his paranoia, his obsession with figuring out what was wrong with Helly, the fact that he immediatly went to waterboarding Helena to use her as leverage. Him calling her the “mole” it’s so great. He doesn’t even know why he’s doing it, why he’s acting this way but he can’t stop it, he can’t control it, it’s a part of him. His emotions and trauma and experiences are a part of him even when the memories aren’t and I love how obvious it was during the whole episode the same way Mark’s grief over Gemma is still felt by Mark S.

Irving gets the shit done#he might’ve become my favorite character bc of this#I always liked him bc of his zealotry but I always thought he was a bit of a wimp#but no no no I was so wrong#also I just love how the show continues to emphasize how our traumas and expirences shape us#love#I blab
