the key difference between the scoundrel and the scientist is that the scoundrel basically doesn't register that they care for other people, much less how to act on it. and meanwhile the scientist is like. the closest a seeker nemesis future licentiate can come to being a decent person. which isn't a lot but it's a low bar to clear in comparison here
