I'm currently watching The Romance of Tiger and Rose which is a Chinese drama where a screenwriter falls into the drama that she's written as a side character and she wants to fight her own writing.

What is it with these sorts of dramas where characters are/become self aware in a fictional world that there's always a character that has some sort of heart disease?

My Review of Chinese Drama The Romance of Tiger and Rose. 

The Romance of Tiger and Rose is a Chinese romantic comedy drama about scriptwriter Chen Xiao Qian. She is really proud of the drama she has written and cannot wait for it to be produced. There are a lot of criticisms of her script and Xiao Qian works hard on it until it is perfect. One day she gets pulled into the world of her script and she takes on the role of Third Princess, Chen Qian Qian. The problem is that this is a minor role with a bad reputation and she finds herself in danger of being killed at any moment. Xiao Qian tries her best to change this role and the whole story in general so she can get back home. Xiao Qian has to carefully navigate the politics of the Kingdom and the Third Princess’ relationships particularly with her family and potential love interest the Minister of Education Pei Heng. Complications arise when she gets into a conflict with the arrogant prince Han Shuo. He has evil plans for Xiao Qian and her city and is willing to do anything to succeed. As they fight against each other, they get closer and fall in love. The Romance of Tiger and Rose has a happy ending and stars Zhao Lu Si as Chen Xiao Qian and Ding Yu Xi as Han Shuo.
