Summary:

The magician Ma Lei (Ma Wenzhong) wanted to disrupt the operation of the wheel tray, destroy the earth, but was blocked by a mysterious time guard on the occasion. In order to defend the peace of the world, the Silly Girl (Shu Chang) found the boy Lu Dongyu (Cao Jun) and brought him back to modern times. Only he could stop Mary's conspiracy. Coincidentally, the mother that Lu Dongyu has been looking for is the mysterious time guard. Who knows that Ma Lei knows of Silly Girl's plan and secretly follows, and wants to borrow the hands of the two of them to find the time guard to kill them. Here is an excerpt of the Romance of Tiger and Rose post-canon divergence I braindumped after the show.

(major spoilers for Tiger and Rose)

I read somewhere that Han Shuo’s actor is supposed to be called Han Mingxing, and that’s what I call him in the fic.

In the canon divergence, the leads don’t get together so quickly in the modern world, and Han Mingxing goes on to shoot Xiaoqian’s new script while firmly insisting to himself that the whole drama was just a dream.

Absurd. Just absurd. That wasn’t real; Han Shuo isn’t real; he, Han Mingxing, one of the nation’s most sought-after leading men, is real. Of course there’s no way the scriptwriter knows what he dreamed. And there’s absolutely, positively no way she was there.

He’s just got a small, temporary problem, that’s all. One day he’ll stop thinking day and night of flying through the air unassisted, stop feeling the ghost of a guan in his hair, stop aching for friends who never existed. Stop obsessing over Chen Xiaoqian.

He’s Han Mingxing. The women he dates have faces to launch a thousand ships and sophistication to shame emperors. They are starlets, models, heiresses — everything Chen Xiaoqian isn’t.

(She has amazing legs, by the way, if they are the way he dreamed.)

He’s trying not to look at the corner where she’s talking to Director Zhang, both of them bent over a copy of the script, a pen sticking out of her mouth. A scoff escapes his mouth. So the woman does know how to work hard, after all.

now you see, in the first episode of Romance of Tiger and Rose, the original Qianqian’s horse overturned a fruit cart containing apples, oranges, pears, and some other fruit thats hard to see. In the context of later episodes that associate Chuchu and Qianqian/Xiaoqian with apples and oranges respectively, this scene is symbolic of how their relationship would be overturned once Xiaoqian arrived and started messing with the plot.
