God made me autistic because he knew i wouldn't handle any more religious trauma than i already have

also the reason i never went to church Ever growing up, even though my dad was an insanely weird mexican catholic, for example insisted i was hearing voices because it's demons and i wasnt baptized Officially in a Real Catholic Church (i was baptized. it was in my godmother's backyard) is because they took me to church ONCE when i was 4, and i was so overstimulated by the loud ass singing that i was SCREAMING and CRYING and WOULD NOT be calmed down

my dad was like "you embarrassed me publicly. so i guess you win. no church" so goes another Win on the war on autism, on the side of autism

#the religious trauma i have is Insane levels for somebody who only went to church sermons Twice in their entire LIFE #and the 2nd time i was 13 but my best friend's mom said i could only spend the night if i went to church w her and her family the next day #even though it wasnt even ''we have church first and we can't drop you off on the way there'' bc i lived literally 5 houses down #her mom was just a weird controlling bitch and constantly said me and my friend and our mutual friend that was my friend's adopted sister #needed to go to church because we were emo with heavy eyeliner #my friend would just run with it and tell her mom ''sorry mom i can't go to church. the devil called and said he's my dad now''#but anyway i'm so glad i didnt go to church because my mom will just casually drop the Most INSANE Levels of trauma imaginable that was #normalized because ''it's the church''#like she'll just drop in conversation ''yeah that reminds me when my whole family and the entire church said i was the antichrist and #possessed by a demon because i wouldnt drink the weird liquid and speak in Holy Tongues''#and i'm like. wow that is way too much to unpack mom. but thanks #text
