actually no i need to talk about the green witch arc. ciel and his band of merry fools go to germany and learn that this forest is haunted by WEREWOLVES and in it is a village full of WITCHES with cursed amulets and potions and whatever

and the immediate vibe is "lol what a bunch of bogus" which is really just batshit coming from the kid with a demon butler

and then woah big reveal! it wasn't werewolves or witches it was a covert military operation REPLETE with radar tracking (not a thing until wwii) and electronic displays (most likely crt screens, which again weren't fully developed until the 1930s) and TANKS. for reference the first "tank" was put together by a guy in 1899 who mounted a machine gun to THIS

absolute paragon of engineering. the panzer (the exact model of tank in the arc) was not a thing until wwi.

and. and ciel and ESPECIALLY the Demon Butler in question are like. ohhhh yeah that makes more sense. the amulets were just transmitting our exact locations through technology that won't exist for another three decades. whew glad we sorted that one out. man wouldn't it have been CRAZY if it really was werewolves.

I‘ll bite! What‘s your question?“ the ‚interviewer‘ gets out a notepad and pen, the moment dragging on into annoyingly endless territory, then comes the question; „Do you have a father?“ The room goes quiet is an understatement.

Yes, Buggy is an emotional man, sue him. He cries easily, gets angry easily, laughs easily... He wears his emotions on his sleeve.

You can imagine the visceral effect that has on Shanks.

That man is absolutely DEVASTATED every time he sees Buggy cry, but especially when he's the one who made him cry (which has happened more times than he'd like to admit) And on the contrary, his mood eases whenever Buggy is happy.

The only emotion he doesn't reflect is Buggy's anger, because that one just hurts. Not the physical type of pain like when he lost his arm, that pain blurs all your senses so you cant focus on anything... This one is the opposite: you focus on everything. You become hyper aware of all your actions, anxious of every move... It's the type of pain that lingers, sticks around. It roots itself within your heart and it shreds at it. That's what Shanks feels everytime Buggy looks at him like he's everything that's wrong with the world.

Because one look in those hurt green eyes and suddenly he's 15 and they're back at Loguetown.

i know people tend to hate the love triangle trope (as do i, ‘cause in books/movies/tv shows, they’re all terrible) but i think i can do it justice. like, you’ll want to rip ur hair out of ur head for all the right reasons :)

I like his unrelenting (definitely unhealthy) dedication to his job and the fact that in his G1 episode, he is never demonized or treated unfairly by the Autobots (IIRC); he is a victim, and he's treated like so.
