actually no i need to talk about the green witch arc. ciel and his band of merry fools go to germany and learn that this forest is haunted by WEREWOLVES and in it is a village full of WITCHES with cursed amulets and potions and whatever

and the immediate vibe is "lol what a bunch of bogus" which is really just batshit coming from the kid with a demon butler

and then woah big reveal! it wasn't werewolves or witches it was a covert military operation REPLETE with radar tracking (not a thing until wwii) and electronic displays (most likely crt screens, which again weren't fully developed until the 1930s) and TANKS. for reference the first "tank" was put together by a guy in 1899 who mounted a machine gun to THIS

absolute paragon of engineering. the panzer (the exact model of tank in the arc) was not a thing until wwi.

and. and ciel and ESPECIALLY the Demon Butler in question are like. ohhhh yeah that makes more sense. the amulets were just transmitting our exact locations through technology that won't exist for another three decades. whew glad we sorted that one out. man wouldn't it have been CRAZY if it really was werewolves.

Yes, Buggy is an emotional man, sue him. He cries easily, gets angry easily, laughs easily... He wears his emotions on his sleeve.

You can imagine the visceral effect that has on Shanks.

That man is absolutely DEVASTATED every time he sees Buggy cry, but especially when he's the one who made him cry (which has happened more times than he'd like to admit) And on the contrary, his mood eases whenever Buggy is happy.

The only emotion he doesn't reflect is Buggy's anger, because that one just hurts. Not the physical type of pain like when he lost his arm, that pain blurs all your senses so you cant focus on anything... This one is the opposite: you focus on everything. You become hyper aware of all your actions, anxious of every move... It's the type of pain that lingers, sticks around. It roots itself within your heart and it shreds at it. That's what Shanks feels everytime Buggy looks at him like he's everything that's wrong with the world.

Because one look in those hurt green eyes and suddenly he's 15 and they're back at Loguetown.

I don't really get this take, it's not the first time I've seen it, and it's just... I don't even know.

green is the color of war for her house, but it's also just her house's color, and for a girl ripped up from her life as a hightower and made a Targaryen Queen of all things, she started wearing her house colors compared to her color (blue) or the Targaryen colors (red) probably to cling to some sense of normalcy and identity.

not only that, but from a costuming perspective the symbolism is right there, you're just missing it. it's not about war, that one dress had been war, that's why the comment is made. the color is Alicent no longer trying to be a Targaryen, no longer changing herself and ignoring the pain she's in, and instead being her own person despite her position. she starts wearing green instead of red, the two colors being opposites, when she stops trying to pander to her lost friend, stops trying to fit in and be this new person. she took a stand with that dress, she declared 'war' on this false identity and the fruitless effort she had put in to try and smooth the tensions in the family.

after that, the green is showing she remains herself, a Hightower. not a Targaryen.

I love her green, I love how she holds onto that piece of her, she doesn't let anyone take it or change it. she holds true to herself in this one simple way as to wear her house colors.

also how can you deem a character boring just based on the colors they wear... it's just such a boring and outlandish take.

My Justice League Canada ideas may not be perfect, but there's too much writing on my part for me to completely ditch it. So I'm going to reblog some of my old notes, repost some of the old ones, and then just share all my new ones. Just really try to work on finally sharing it all. Because I never actually have shared it all, and I feel like that's my bad. So I'll try to correct that. Because my team concept had Booster Gold, Blue Beetle, Red Tornado, Martian Manhunter, Captain Marvel/Shazam, Mantis (yes, that vietnamese celestial madonna from marvel), and a whole slew of original characters (who I didn't actually put extensive detail into, but who had enough detailing). Oh, we also had the crime syndicate, an original villian who gave people influenza, and Guy Gardner.
