au where the dad from the real jake is ACTUALLY the crying child and mike is just confused and scared the entire time. It would be post ennard so mikes tired, rotten and has to deal with the brother he killed being an adult for some reason, in the army, and with a child who has cancer and that's why hes acting like that. In the same au the yellow rabbit comes back and Oswald's parents just kinda accept it into their lives. Like it's not even pretending to be anyone anymore, it just wants them both. (Idea came before return to the pit)

Hey! So I noticed that you mentioned being willing to do in-depth breakdowns and stuff, and there's been something on my mind for a while.

I've noticed people tend to make Jake's last name McNally, but that last name is used for another kid named Jake in Fetch.

I've reread Fetch a bunch and can't find anything that implies they're the same kid, but I've never read The Real Jake and only seen the wiki for it. Does that story confirm/imply they're the same person?

The whole McNally thing is basically a headcanon, there's no genuine evidence to suggest they're the same besides an oddly convenient timeline. Greg babysits Jake during the fall/winter when he is four, and Roxanne is still alive. Fetch ends in January, and later that year, Roxanne dies. The very next year, his tumor starts to grow, and Margie is hired. Three years later, you have The Real Jake. Back when I was anti-Stitchline/FrightsGames I actually went along with this headcanon, but nowadays, if I wanna argue in favor of these stories being canon, I have to say they're two separate kids. Fetch just can't happen before 2023, and the two Jakes being the same is pushing it too far back.

OH MY GOD??? i was a massive fnaf fan in my preteen years, as was everyone ever in the 2010s..ive dialed back my enjoyment of it, ill watch playthroughs of the mainline games and ive seen the movie but thats kind of it. this being relevent bc i watched an into the pit playthrough, and then saw some tweets about it. MOST of them i understood, until i hit a tweet talking abt some kid named andrew?? and how hes not an sci??? and i was like Hold On. maybe its been some years but i cant be THAT behind can i. i know all the important names..michael afton and cassidy and charlie and what have you..

so i look up the wiki for this kid andrew, and it leads me to a story about a ghost kid attatching himself to william aftons spirit and torturing him and shit. i was a bit confused bc like. isnt that cassidys thing? but Whatevs. also the stories seemed weirdly bizzare to me, like not in a hateful way but like. why is william afton getting an exorcism. anyway it brings up a couple (A LOT) of names i dont understand, but what my brain latches onto is this kid jake, who is described as forcing andrew to Stop torturing english willy, at the cost of Now Hes Stuck Possessing An Endoskeleton. okayyy this is fnaf to me. i didnt know this but its abt what i expect from five nights at freddys.

so i head to jakes wiki out of curiosty, and find out he is from, no joke, one of the most fucking depressing stories ive ever read? i dont mean in terms of fnaf, i mean, FUCKING EVER. JESUS. CHRIST.

its like. in the middle of a fazbear frights book. fazbear frights being these scary stories to tell in the dark type books where its collections of spoooky stories that will shape the minds of children everywhere, but like. fnaf themed.

this story is called “the real jake” and i Highly reccomend you read the wiki instead of hearing it from me like. fourth hand. like im retelling a retelling here. but if you want that ultra telephone sypnosis, here you go:

“the real jake” follows a nine year old boy who is bedridden. with cancer. his mother is dead and his father is overseas. jake is taken care of full time by a nanny, margie.

jake likes to talk with a boy in his cupboard, named simon, who is really his father over the phone, through a walkie talkie. at first, jake and “simon” talk about what jake has done that day, but jake cannot leave his bed, so jake gets frustrated that all his stories are so mundane and depression. so one day simons like, okay, tell me what the REAL jake has done. and its a little game of pretend, where jake tells these silly little stories about what the “real jake” did that day. one day, jakes friend tries to get him to sneak out to go to the arcade, and tries to get him there by dragging him in a wagon, but jake is too weak to make it to make it to the wagon and collapses and throws up, and he explains to margie he wanted to be the real jake for a day.

at some point jake and margie are playing chess, and jake gets super frustrated that he cant see straight. margie calms him down and jake tells her that he loves her, causing margie to break down, and then she Later Finds Out The Doctors Are Ceasing Treatment For Him, which makes margie realize she loves jake as a son.

AND THEN MARGIE GETS THE CALL THAT JAKES FATHER WAS FUCKING KILLED. and she has full custody of jake. she cant bring herself to tell him his father died, so she says simon wont be able to visit for a while.

AND THEN JAKE FUCKING DIES.

AND THAT IS IT. THAT IS THE END OF THE STORY . THEY JUST MOVE ON AFTER THAT. HOLY FUCK??? IMAGINE BEING LIKE 9 AND PICKING UP THE LATEST FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDYS BOOK AT THE SCHOOLASTIC BOOK FAIR AND THEN READING A STORY ABOUT A LITTLE BOY COPING WITH HIS CANCER AND THEN FUCKING DYING ALONE. My idea of an Inside Out x Fnaf 3 game.

This takes place 30 years after Anxiety's Playtime Buffet was shut down, and some people in their early 20's decided to make a horror attraction out of what was left of said establishment called The Nightmare Zone for some quick and easy money. They would mostly find random props, but they would eventually find the ant animatronics who were the ones to provide background vocals for the main band's songs, Jangles the circus Hippo from Daydream Entertainment's first ever establishment, "Bing Bong and Friends", as well as a an animatronic that looked like a monstrous combination of both the Joy's Funtime Diner animatronics and the Anxiety's Playtime Buffet animatronics they named Emotional Overload(placeholder name until I either come up with or given a better name). What they didn't know was that Jangles is possessed by the spirit of Thomas Wilson, the killer of the series.

Game mechanics

Jangles works just like Springtrap with you having to keep him at bay with audio lures.

Bobby and Paula are the Bonnie and Chica of the game with Paula going into the left vent and Bobby going into the right. You have to close the respective vent when you hear vent crawling sounds.

Fritz can go to both vents and is quicker to kill you.

Whenever Jake is in your office, you have to pull a lever to spray water from the ceiling to ward him off.

Phantom Bloofy will occasionally appear in a random camera, and you'll need to quickly put down your monitor, or he'll jumpscare you and temporarily disable your audio lures.

Phantom Bing Bong will also occasionally appear on one of the cameras, and you need to quickly switch cameras, or he'll appear in your office and temporarily block your view.

Phantom Rainbow will occasionally appear in your office, and you must quickly look away from her, or she'll jumpscare you and temporarily disable your cameras.

If you get the bad ending, you'll play the final night(night 7) as normal, but Jangles will jumpscare you at 5 a.m. No matter what(scripted event), and then you'll see sideshow credits showing Jangles escaping The Nightmare Zone and wreaking havoc while Emotional Overload rots away in the previous establishment that The Nightmare Zone was built over. If you get the good ending, the final night(night 7) will have you discover a trap door that leads to the previous establishment, and you'll come across Emotional Overload. You will run away from them and hide in the office. Emotional Overload will then hunt you down. Their mechanic will depend on the color of their eyes.

Blue: Joy is in control. When E.O.'s in your office, put on the Bloofy mask.

Blue with glasses: Sadness is in control. When E.O.'s in your office, you have to hide under your desk.

Red: Anger is in control. When E.O.'s in your office, you must shine your light at them.

Dark green: Disgust is in control. When E.O.'s in your office, you must point the pocket mirror at them.

Purple: Fear is in control. When E.O'.s in your office, you must use an air horn to scare them off.

Light green: Anxiety is in control. When E.O.'s in the camera room, you must click on the computer to distract them.

Indigo: Ennui is in control. When E.O.'s in your vents, you must activate the vent lasers to keep them from entering your office.

Cyan: Envy is in control. When E.O.'s in your office, you must keep your monitor down as Envy's an attention seeker.

Pink: Embarrassment is in control. When E.O.'s in your office, you must keep your monitor up as Embarrassment doesn't like being stared at.

Rose glasses: Nostalgia is in control. When E.O.'s in your office, you must flip up your monitor and play a music box to make them go away.

If you survive the night, a slide show cut scene will play where E.O. corners, you and you throw your monitor at their head, which fixes their glitch and recognizes you as the daughter of Daydream Entertainment's good founder they help you get out and have a final battle with their real killer. They get their revenge and ascend to Heaven. You leave the establishment and reveal Daydream Entertainment's dark secrets. It ends with Riley trying to move past her trauma by building the establishment that once haunted her from the ground up while making sure nothing like that ever happens again.
