Hi everyone , we're here for a new proposal for our Noremma events.

It's still pretty much just an interest check, but.... What about a Noremma zine?

Our goal would be both revive the fandom and gain some money to help Palestinian people.

Other name: Tech-zine future (inspired by July '97 edition of WIRED [picture] [link to read])

Main interest - Retro-Futurism, Cyberpradism

Related/Similar to the genres/aesthetics of Vaporwave, Y2K, Cyberpunk and those sorts -

Wonderland, Cyberparadism, Global Village Coffeehouse and Hauntology - among others -

This aesthetics talks about idea of "what could have been", "what we lost", even incorporating in talks those terms of "look what they took away from you".

Speaking of general "vibe", we are in-between on terms of: Dark Academia, sometimes Bastardcore - Mallgoth. Also might vary between Utopian scholastic, and/or cassette futurism (and others).

Talking of Hauntology - PNL can make us look over for "what went wrong/what could be//get better", this is, speaking figuratively. Human imagination, in these forms, presents to us, "what could have been's" - world envisioned: in 10, 50, 100, 500 years. Many projects and arts envisioned our "future"s, now long-gone (1800s, 1900s, 1950s-1980s ~ y2k).

The only objectively good song in The Greatest Showman deserves some respect, god damn it. Also it's a very catchy way to show a character's betrayal/character changes in general.

The song just overall slaps and also it's great for showing characters having a conflict with one trying to convince the other to join the opposing side

its very character driven, so no wonder its very popular. almost every fandom ive been in has an animatic of this song.

...the only propaganda i have for this is the time two years ago when a zine team gave andrew francis like $50 to sing part of it in the voice of morro ninjago thanks to a joke about onceler morro. someone did animate it if that helps at all

An Overdue Explanation

Hello, please call me Pam. I’m one of the writers who contributed to this zine. My personal tumblr is @pamsssssss

Who I Am:

I am not a Mod, rather just one of the many contributors who have offered to step up throughout this arduous process. I will do what I can to answer any questions you all might have and to get answers from the Mod for any questions I don’t have the answer to. Think of me as an advocate on your behalf, a go-between from concerned buyer to mod.

There are many wonderful contributors who are working behind-the-scenes to see this project to the end. We hoped things would work out on their own, but have collectively realized that is not going to be the case. Now, we are doing what we can to set things right and hold Mod Bluebird accountable. You have many advocates on your side. I am their voice to you, and I will be your voice to them and the mods.

What We’ve Done:

We received the emails of everyone who purchased a PDF and one of our contributors emailed the PDF and an apology letter to these buyers. For sake of transparency, Mod Bluebird gave us 11 email addresses. If you have not received your PDF, please let me know. (DM’ing me on my personal tumblr is probably easiest)

Verified with Mod Bluebird that buyer packages have been sent. On September 18, Bluebird said “I sent out the last few buyer packages a few weeks ago” Packages are shipping from Canada, so they may take a while to arrive

Gained access to the tumblr (hey hey) so we can keep you updated and answer any questions you have

What We’re Doing:

Getting tracking numbers from Bluebird so buyers can keep an eye on the state of their packages. We are also working to get access to the zine’s email so we can send everyone their tracking from there and answer any questions that may have been sent to email. Bluebird said she’s extremely busy this week but will try to compile tracking info as soon as possible. I will periodically check in with her and keep you posted.

Working to ensure contributor packages get shipped. They are still with Bluebird and, due to lack of funding, contributors may have to wait a while longer to have their packages shipped. I unfortunately don’t have an ETA

Answering any and all questions you have. With tumblr being the site it is, it looks like most of the asks have been eaten, but I will try to answer what I can. You can always dm my personal tumblr, especially if your question doesn’t get answered. 

Thank you for reading thus far. I’m sorry things have been the way that they are. We are working on changing that.

My fav scene of the manga is in ch.93, when Norman picks Emma up from her soul's depths and push her up to fight. I will always be stunned by how powerful her standing up was and how sweet and deep the meaning of him reaching her in her lowest, in her most hidden side of the heart was. 

So my first piece is inspired mostly on that.  While the second focuses more on Emma letting go of a part of herself, saying bye to the child and facing the harsh war ahead of her, without letting go of her values of course.

I went all out with symbolism XD
