My Everlasting Muse pt.1
Harry styles x OC
Warnings: 18+ Drugs, smoking, alcohol, mature content, swearing
Meeting someone who is irrevocably, unapologetically themselves is near impossible these days.
There was a point in my life where I was stuck in a tsunami of grief, with waves of hidden agendas and vendettas constantly crashing against me. Never knowing which friend would be the next to betray me, or which camera would snap a picture of my walking corpse, or which news outlet would pay the prettiest dime for a glimpse of my remains. Hollywood breeds trust issues and kills the most beautiful minds. All because they had a dream, they once thought was worth pursuing.
Growing up the idea of music and having a career in it sounded magical. So unbelievably naive, I studied every vinyl, witnessed as many concerts as I could, and sang until my vocal cords went raw. And when the opportunity planted itself in front of me, I leaped across the ocean with hopes and dreams and ended up landing in the viper's den. And as the tickets sold, and my voice was heard across the world I learned to hate what I once used to adore. And as the stadiums roared, and the music played, my interest in cocaine and booze increased every day.
The family and friends I used to hang out with every Sunday, no longer heard from me. Getting their updates on my life with the rest of the world, through tabloids and news stations. The claws of Hollywood were digging into me, indulging every night, waking up to a groupie every morning, and feeling lost in the process of creation. I sang words of love and ambition but was experiencing none of those feelings. On the outside, I was the epitome of coming from nothing and making a real name for yourself. But was it worth sacrificing everything and everyone I've ever known? Well, I don't know.
I was drowning and quickly sinking further down a whole of scandals and self-destruction, not knowing who to ask or how to ask for help, when everyone around me is in the same sinking boat as I am. I wrote a song when I was younger, it's the reason I have the fortune I do now, it was about how love can save you from the darkest of things. But I didn't know at the time, that even love couldn't save you from yourself.
Or at least I thought so.
A girl with eyes of salt, and an annoyingly positive personality somehow swam onto my sinking ship and rescued me from the wreck that was myself. I didn't think it was possible. A girl I once detested and hated everything she stood for, who was irrevocably and unapologetically herself, became my everlasting muse.
And honestly, I wouldn't want it any other way.
..............
Love is ironic.
It's magnetizing because it can elicit happiness, but it can also elicit pain. For it is the pain that reminds you of how truly connected you are to the person you fell in love with.
I wasn't always so unapologetically me.
There was a time in my life when I would sit under the stars and pray to anything, anyone up there, to give me a sign that I wasn't broken, that I wasn't unlovable, and that there was someone out there who would reassure me that I wasn't a freak of nature. Growing up in a home where shouting was the courtesy, and broken bottles were normal, it made sense I clang to the first person who showed me a sliver of love. So entrapped in the appeal of being in love, I naively went from one traumatic home to another.
A voice that used to be gentle, now reflected my father's. Deep and intoxicated, staggering around our home with shoves and the occasional fist to my face. Isolated and a million miles away from everything I've ever known, I became trapped in this cycle of intoxication and abuse that I so badly wanted to escape.
I was repeating my mother's mistakes.
And the day I realized that I left in a raggedy zeppelin t-shirt, with blood-soaked hands and never looked back.
Starting over in a new city, with a new name and a new goal in life.
Just be me.
I wanted to determine my own fate, my own decisions, my own passions. I was over letting people walk over me and being confined to their ideas of what I should be.
However, I never expected this new chapter in my life to end up unraveling like it did.
Booze, regrets, parties, and cigarettes.
I guess the trauma was resurfacing through self-deprecating behavior. But I'm not shaming my past mistakes, for it ended up leading to my savior. He was older, and his aura pulsed trouble. He didn't have to carry himself; his name did all the work for him. His brooding nature, and downright miserable attitude made me want to be the positive one for once.
I knew the logical thing was to ignore him. I knew who he was, I knew the danger that surrounded him, and the spotlight that followed him. I should've left him and never looked back, as I had done in my past life. However, there was something magnetic pulling me towards him. Maybe it was the universe, maybe it was just luck how we always ended up in the same place and the same time.
I became his anchor; he became my life.
I never thought I'd be known as Harry Style's everlasting muse.
But honestly, I wouldn't have it any other way.
............

XNauseousX tracks
I'm seeing like everything I've had to rip off youtube on there on the Apple Music preview for the release.
13 This Song Is A Curse… 14 Be My Baby 15 Walk the Line 16 B.F.F. (original version) 17 2.5mg Just Ain't Enough For Me 18 Give Me Liberty, But Give Me Depth 19 Getting Into Heaven Can Be Hell 20 tragician. (Live at BBC Maida Vale Studios) 21 .smoke rings. (Live at BBC Maida Vale Studios) 22 Joyriding (Live at BBC Maida Vale Studios) 23 She's the Prettiest Girl at the Party, and She Can Prove It with a Solid Right Hook (Live at BBC Maida Vale Studios) 24 Extraordinary Girl
But then I look at that pricey vinyl and it just has the standard Stomachaches track listing? So does the vinyl have all of it or just the standard album? Unclear, Frank!
Also, I need this on CD, man. Or at least digital downloads? Fingers crossed I can own this and not just stuck with streaming.
UPDATE: It's on pre-order on the iTunes store, Amazon, and Qobuz, probably other places too, so that's cool. Fingers still crossed for a CD so I don't have to burn my own.

hi! 💗 sorry to bother you, but you’re seriously one of my favorite blogs and one of the ppl who made me rly want to get into vinyls! 💕 but i have no idea where to start, so i wanted to ask what record player/speakers you use? (and ik they’re not all available still, but what taylor vinyl you think is the prettiest?)
omg im so sorry im getting to this so late!! I saw this when I was out running errands and then it slipped my mind to answer so I do apologize for this late response!
you are not bothering me at all!! I love talking about vinyl so I'm happy to (hopefully) help!
when it comes to my equipment, I use an Audio-Technica record playing (here is a link to the website). My record player from them is like at least 10 years old at this point so it doesn't appear to be available anymore. but the AT-LP60X record player appears to be one of their most basic players which is probably similar to what I own. Unfortunately, I am not sure about what kind of speakers I have. they're pretty generic I think. much of my set-up was a gift but I know mine are fairly small and slim and can easily sit on my shelves so I don't think you need to dive into buying huge, powerful speakers right away! so I guess I would start with looking into Audio-Technica players first and maybe Amazon for small external speakers. I think any sort of speaker with a cord should be able to connect to the Audio-Technica players. I wouldn't recommend one of those Crosley suitcase record players, I find that they always skip when I'm playing records so they may not be the best but I know they are very affordable when compared to other players so if you do just want to try it out and see how much you use it and listen to vinyl it wouldn't be the end of the world. I would just maybe suggest eventually upgrading!
Also, no matter what you choose, look into record care kits. This is one from Audio-Technica, you don't have to buy this one specifically but something along these lines would be good. Mainly, I think that brush is the most important and you use it when ur record is playing and gently brush it on top to collect any dust or hairs from the actual vinyl record. big thing I think to have if you have pets who shed! my dog's hair clings to my vinyl like crazy.
And to protect your records individually I would suggest looking into plastic sleeves for them. there's a bunch of different ones out there and everyone has their opinion on what's best. I use pretty generic brand ones. There's so many on Amazon to look for.
As for my favorite taylor vinyl pressing I loooove my Betty's Garden folklore pressing, it's like a dusty purple/pink color, but it is out of print so my second favorite has to be the tangerine 1989 (Taylor's version) target exclusive! it's such a pretty hue. and it's still pretty readily available! the two-colored lover vinyls are great also and the crystal clear TTPD pressing is sooooo cool!!
well I'm sorry this turned into an essay but I hope it's a little helpful!! I'm glad to hear you're getting into vinyls, I love them so much, they're one of my favorite things to collect!!

Billy's Birthday Bonanza: Day 6
yes i know this is a day late but shhhh
for @harringroveweek day 6
Molly Ringwald’s Wish: To Be Paired with Steve for Class Gift Wrapped: Tony Bennett Vinyl How Many Candles on the Birthday Cake: 12 years old Cake Slice: Confetti Cake That’s Not Frosting: For the Very First Time (nothing sexual tho)
and for @harringrove-flip-reverse-it i used nsfw -> sfw: stripping
Steve Harrington was the prettiest boy that Billy had ever met. He sat in front of him in class, with his big hair and big dumb grin, eating a bagel and getting crumbs everywhere. He was so stupid, constantly getting answers wrong and asking dumb questions that made Tammy Thompson giggle and kick her feet and that definitely was not annoying. At all.

Some of my favorite beauty creators are also my favorite musicians.
Where do I start? I know!
Hayley Williams, our favorite, angelic voice of Paramore, is also the co-creator (w/ her longtime mua/hs & bff, Brian O’Connor) of the hair dye company, Good Dye Young. GDY has one of the best lightening kits I’ve ever used. And the color options? Omg. They have every fun color you could imagine. And if they don’t have it, you can create it yourself with a little color theory. Not only are the colors vibrant and beautiful, they fade graciously and smell amazing!
Gwen Stefani, my personal all-time (since elementary school days) fashion icon, recently started up her own beauty line. When I first found out about Gxve, I practically burst into confetti & cartwheels. When the brand launched, I grabbed the I’m Still Here liquid lipstick in Gwen’s iconic red shade. Delicious scent and long lasting wear, which we double love. I later grabbed the Xtra Sauce vinyl liquid lip, which became an instant favorite. The shine, the feel, and the long lasting wear is incredible.
Halsey, our other favorite angelic voice, not only blesses us with their music, poetry, and art, but they have given us not one, but two amazing beauty lines! About Face Beauty was the first baby they gave us. I have an obsession with finding the longest lasting liquid lipstick, and Halsey has given us just that with AF’s paint-it matte liquid lip color & the coordinating matte fix lip pencil. I’ve eaten plenty a cheeseburger and haven’t had to touch up immediately after. We all know that’s impressive af. I’ve tried just about every product and the entire line is a win. If you wanna pinch a penny or two, their second baby, af94, is just for you. I am obsessed with the scribble sticks. The feel & color are fantastic. I could talk about these lines forever. I’ll hype these babies up for days.
When I first purchased a jar of Keys Soulcare Skin Transformation skin cream, I had zero idea the company was Alicia Keys’s. I didn’t figure that out until I ran out and needed more (it’s my favorite face cream). It was a pretty delightful surprise. Each product has its own affirmation printed on the jar, for you to repeat to yourself while doing your skincare routine. I’ve tried the comfort balm as well as the face cleanser. Everything I’ve tried, I’ve loved. I can’t wait to see what other products Keys Soulcare has in store for us.
Ariana Grande has r.e.m. beauty. I have read so amazing things about the brand, that I just finally got around to trying it. I recently purchased the concealer, which I must say is very creamy with great coverage. A little definitely goes a long way. There’s plenty of other products to try. I have my eye in the lip stain next.
No list is complete without Rihanna & Fenty Beauty. Rihanna’s second calling in life is 100% the beauty world. Her line gets so much well-deserved hype. I needed a new skin tint and picked up the Blurring Skin Tint. It’s hands down the nicest tint I’ve ever used. I love how it feels on my skin and that it blends perfectly. Another great item I’ve gotten recently is the color customizing match stix cheek/lip tint. The formula reacts to your natural ph balance and leaves the prettiest pink tint behind. And if you need an amazing highlight, grab yourself some Fenty. Rihanna never fails.
I am so happy for all of these artists and their creations. As a music and beauty fanatic, I get a thrill out of those worlds colliding. I will forever be anticipating the next amazing drop from all of these rock stars!

Collection Spotlight: Selena - Ones (2016 Vinyl Reissue)
I've been a HUGE fan of Selena since 2015 (a casual fan since 2002) so when I saw this come up for preorder, I've never hit "add to cart" so fast! I knew it would be purple, but the swirl that you can only see when it is put up to the light is really spectacular! This is easily the prettiest record I own. The photo of the actual vinyl is my own original, the other photos were taken from its release page on Discogs. The cover is a shiny mirror-like material so it is very difficult to photograph!
