I like bride but it’s just not the same it suffers from a lack of grounding and no megan and continuity problems
#reanimator#the first one is grounded by all the characters going wtf to herbert—we know he’s the strange element that causes everything else#to get weirder as the movie progresses so it feels natural like we’re in the real world & bride is so not in the real world#things make sense until west shows up#I’m insane about continuity so the fact that herbert is alive and hill’s head isn’t a pile of meat bother me intensely that’s my main issue#it’s still a fun time and there are parts I really like but it’s not the same#the pre-first movie time/just before herbert starts experimenting in Dan’s house is where it’s at imo
