Literally watched all of S2 last night and I dont feel like doing individual reactions sooo

All of S1:E26 was me pointing at gay people on my screen and going "hey thats from the little dark age amv"

The orion pax arc is still literally so funny. Later episodes show that there was NO REASON to keep optimus/orion alive bc soundwave and THE FUCKING SHIP can also decode the locations of the mcguffins, megatron literally couldve won the war here and there what the hell. it took meg all of 0.5 seconds after he heard his former boytoy utter his name to try and find excuses to keep him around. Also making him call you "my lord"? I Know What You Are.

And apparently optimus/orion stayed on the nemesis for two months which is crazy to me bc megatron cannot improvise to save his fucking life what do you MEAN warlord ratchet??? YOU HAVE ULTRA MAGNUS IN YOUR FILES

It was funny tho bc meg heard ratchet say "I am your doctor of doom" and thought Hey thats pretty good and then make a callback to that when telling optimus/orion ratchet is evil incarnate

Extra hilarious to me that it partially ended bc starscream went to the nemesis to raid the fridge. [Megatron voice] this plane does nothing but ruin my life

The episodes where they send arcee and jin kazama to cybertron was pretty cool i did like the vibe it really felt alien ruins-like

You can tell the experience fucked optimus a little bc first episode after the season opening and peepaw is ready to consider warcrimes

S2:E10-E11 is just megatron and the gang having the weirdest fucking day and it might be my fav eps. I think I just love watching the cons do shit. Megatron killed starscream four times, fought an army of bugs and then gave drugs to his ship

Knockout and megatron's banter is surprisingly always very entertaining. I think meg just like bouncing off of a little jester

The four relics episode are kinda whatever BUT they did gave us the one (1) soundwave focused episode and whaddayaknow he was extremely sexy and competent and it was funny to see him being treated like megatron's special boy&bird

Also bulkhead continue to have plot armor thicker than the apex armor like come on in every single one of his episodes he comes just this close to death

Basically a guy walked into the ingestion zone on purpose and was sucked into the engine. A woman on the plane saw it and has PTSD. And that is completely heartbreaking.

And she's suing the company on the basis that they shouldn't have hired him, bc he had a history of struggling, and they should've known not to let him near the plane. Which I find very sad, bc of the potential to make a person's mental health a factor in employment, even tho it shouldn't be. At least in most cases.

I mean, he wasn't in charge of weapons, or in a position where he would be reasonably expected to diffuse a dangerous situation, or in charge of the care of a vulnerable person. As long as he was able to do the work required, he was as valid a candidate as any.

They need to review their employee support programs and beef them up as necessary. But even the best situation doesn't prevent bad stuff. Sometimes shit just happens and it sucks for everyone involved. 😔

Just read this, and all I can think is that that would be horrendous to see, and I hope she gets all the support she needs, and I'm glad it wasn't painful for him, and pls don't make it so that ppl with mental health issues can't be employed.

Two enjoyable episodes back-to-back? I'm shook! Obviously 6x13 lacks the serious messaging and emotional weight of last week's episode but the silliness of it was actually entertaining. My thoughts:

- opening scene is a supercorp hug. christ y'all need to warn people! i was not ready. the way kara's face lit up when she saw lena, the way lena smiled back at her. the way they hugged fully pressed. my heart is full.

- kara n lena immediately whisking away to the fortress right after that for some alone time. i love where your head is at kara 😏

- look at dansen being all cute and shit! who gave them the right honestly?

- glad they continued with kelly still processing the stuff from last episode. and alex is really trying to do better. dansen is the example to follow when it comes to healthy adult relationships. i really didn't think this show was capable.

- it's getting harder and harder to like andrea

- i actually forgot willy was shot last season. and they worked through his trauma off screen. what was the point of showing him getting a blast of courage if we weren't going to see him face his fears and shit. y'all really don't like deep topics huh.

- interesting that kara's test of courage takes place during her rescuing alex's plane and not idk...all the times she was too scared to tell lena. she thinks it's that one random dude she didn't save and not the times with lena (something she admits terrified her). the only thing i can think of for this moment they chose is because yes kara embraced her powers that night but she didn't step out into the public eye as herself, as the last daughter of krypton. she wasn't vulnerable in that respect. because she was scared to be discovered. because she grew up with that fear and need to fit in (she talks about that in later S1). but i will only accept this IF the show ends with kara stepping out into the world fully and no longer having to hide or deny parts of herself. but i also don't see how you make the courage test about telling lena and not have that end with kara admitting she's in love with her so. that might be why.

- nxyly's courage test was actually very sad. i feel for her truly it's not fair what happened. but her being vulnerable about her feelings is interesting because kara still hasn't learned how to do that

- lena having some convenient device to contain the totem just cuz kara needs it. we love handy and resourceful girlfriends

- what was the point of having lena at the museum if she wasn't gonna be affected? y'all copped out!

- that device that was harnessing lightning also somehow made lightning? is that how it works?

- kelly shielding alex was a good visual. kinda stupid but nice.

- dansen couch scene i stopped breathing cuz i swore kelly was about to propose. i love them so much

- supercorp couch scene is where i died because it came at me without warning. kara sans glasses in her civilian clothes. not performing as kara danvers or supergirl. here she's just kara, an alien refugee chilling with her best friend. which is all she ever wanted and she deserves it!

- kara handing lena her plate. stop it!

- but also lena is in the same clothes all episode. which means they left the tower together. and headed straight to kara's apartment. lena definitely slept over in kara's pjs. I'M NOT OKAY!

- this is the first couch scene we got since alex n kara in 6x08. where Kara admits she doesn't want to be alone anymore. and now she isn't because lena is back. god i actually can't.

- kara's face when lena tells her about being a witch. she's so smitten! they're in love your honour

- lena saying that kara is the epitome of courageous with such seriousness and intensity. even though kara tries to brush it off cuz she can't really agree right now, lena means it 100%

- lena's sad face when kara wanted to stay connected to nxyly even though she could get hurt. worried wife energy we love to see it

- poor nxyly must be confused asf

- but also it's canon that kara feels hopeful and happy around lena and no one can take that from me. and it's not just words. kara's behavior is different, she's smiling more, she's opening up. acting choices melissa explain yourself!

not bad at all. we were fed lots of supercorp after months of nothing. they better keep up this momentum. it was lighter episode in terms of emotions and what have you compare to pervious ones. seems like the season is officially kicking off now that lena is back. probably going to have a totem of the week kinda deal but hopefully they include kelly's storyline with the heights cuz i wanna see the conclusion of that.

You heard one of the cabin crew women announce the landing and within less than an hour you were stepping into Seoul's lands after months.

You searched through the crowd of people at the place looking for the familiar face, which you found holding a lovely poster with the words “welcome home cheater” and Moonbyul by her side. You ran to them, hugging their bodies tight and crying.

“I can believe you’re finally here!” the youngest told you with a smile, holding your shoulders and looking at you like a mother. “You’ve changed… but for the good. You look amazing”

“You mean tired” you joked with her, you probably looked like trash after hours inside a plane.

“Just a few bags under the eyes but nothing like a nice and warm shower won’t help” the eldest smiled, helping you with your bags. “welcome back kiddo”

The three of you grabbed your stuff and headed to Wheein’s house. The ride was fun, the girls were filling you with questions and more questions about the country you were in, the people, the culture, they sounded like little kids and it helped you get your mind out of Hyejin.

“Go take a shower first, then come to the kitchen” the singer said as soon as you arrived at her place. Nodding and thanking her once again you headed to the well-known guest room where you used to crash when you went to parties together or when you got too drunk to go back to your apartment.

You let the warm water hit your head and shoulder, releasing some of the tension held there. You knew that, at some point, you would have to confront her, to talk to her, but you were too afraid she wouldn’t want to even after all these months. After all, she never answered your messages.

After drying your hair and putting on some comfortable clothes, you headed to the kitchen, distracted by your phone. “Tell me you made me s-”

“Hi” you stopped in your tracks and words when you saw her in front of you, standing in the middle of the room.

“Hi” came as a whisper, your heart beating louder than your actual words.

“I think I owe you an apology” you shook your head, denying. “No, I do. I was so childish for not understanding you and for not answering you all this time”

“I-it’s ok” you managed to get out before clearing your throat. “I was very stupid for not telling you before. I… I was afraid to tell you”

“Why?” you looked at her, your eyes always looking at the ground the whole time. “Why were you afraid to tell me you were finally fulfilling your dream to study abroad” the woman took a step closer to you. You didn’t move.

You didn’t know what to say or how to say anything without spilling your true feelings. “You know… While you were away I took some time for myself, to think about everything”

“It was good?”

“Yes. I realized a few things” you nodded, a sign for her to keep talking. She took two steps closer to you. “I realized that I got sad because I couldn’t spend your last days with you properly like you deserved. That I felt betrayed and unworthy of your trust. Did you not trust me? Wasn’t I your best friend?” Hwasa took a deep breath, getting right in front of you. So pretty. So close. “But then I realized I wasn’t your best friend. I would never be… because you don’t see me like it. And that’s ok because the most important thing I realized is that I don’t see you as mine either”.

Your mind was racing, traveling all over without knowing what to think or what to tell. What was she trying to say? It was what you thought it was?

Before you could say anything, her hands held your face in place so she could touch your lips with her soft ones. It felt like you were on cloud nine, in some kind of fantasy movie or even a dream, and if so, you didn’t want to wake up.

She broke the kiss, a smile on her lips that were touching yours seconds ago “I don’t see you as my best friend because I like you more than that. And I’m sorry I was such a bitch with you and letting you wait”

“Don’t worry. It was definitely worth it” it was your turn to kiss her, this time enjoying, even more, the touch of her skin on yours. “By the way, I like you more than a friend too”

“You owe me five bottles of soju. I told you they were in love” you heard Wheein screaming at the kitchen with Moonbyul, making you two laugh before sharing another kiss.

Have you read 2ha? I’m thinking of reading it , but I heard it can be very triggering, so do you know any specific things to look out for?

heya! yep you can read my full rec here and in case you need to zoom into a portion just for the trigger warnings and other lovely info it’s here and also what i think about the trigger warnings debate for 2ha in general i wrote at the end of my rec - there’s some non-con, dub-con with drugging, among other things in the past life and others that are part and parcel of the setting and world that meatbun (the author) has set up. if you’re really uncomfortable with these you can skip this one, totally valid because everyone has different triggers/things they’re uncomfortable with! 

although i have to say the parts that people talk about most, it’s not exactly the crux of the story (hmm it’s in the past life background/setting and it is what it is) and 80% of the book i think are focused on normal, regular stuff, but the themes are definitely a little heavier than usual! the main couple torturing each other emotionally, sometimes physically, and them both willing to be tortured on behalf of each other, character deaths here and there, a lot of sobbing on my part - if you have any strict trigger you’ll probably have to avoid this one, but if you don’t, you can read what i think about the debate on the trigger warnings (not the the trigger warnings themselves, those are there and valid, and are what they are) in the rec linked!

personally it was pretty rewarding! i honestly haven’t read anything quite like 2ha - the pain and angst is unreal, and every detail and plot and character has its place, every arc has meaning (erm with the exception of farming arc because that one was there purely to show that the main couple THIRSTY after each other lmao) - and even tho it’ll take me a while to reread again (i’ll probably do it slightly before or during the airing of the live action that’s upcoming), it is, in my opinion, the best danmei i’ve read? and one of my faves in terms of mastery of worldbuilding, plot etc. 

i’m more of a comedic, not-so-serious reader when it comes to danmei, my criteria for faves are quite simple like 1. main guy faints a couple of times at least 2. dumbass idiots 3. some plot 4. not too much angst 5. my fave characters don’t die HAHAHAHAHA - but 2ha for me is like, it lives in like this alternate plane of like godhood - it’s just that good. no other danmei i’ve read so far comes close in terms of characterization, portrayal of love, worldbuilding, interweaving of plots etc. (okay maybe tgcf, but 2ha made me cry 4 days in a row if that’s any sort of meter) this is pretty much a perfect combination of everything, and yes unfortunately that does come with some pretty heavy trigger warnings :(

It broke Cora's heart, and May and Cora ran solo attempting to kill us until someone on my side suggested reaching out to them (as well as a rogue incubus), and they all ended up with steady, safe jobs at my Inn Between Worlds (everyone should have one). With that stability, a great deal of wounds were healed, including, with some macguffin work and MUCH therapy, Anne retrieving her memories and remembering her true love, the three of them understanding what happened, and an eventual fold into a healthy polycule.

May was always aggressively...aggressive, she was possibly the first character in that campaign to buck my intentions of "agreeability" and start questioning norms. As such, she hasn't changed much at all--she's righteous, not self-righteous, and she can be as much of a pain in the ass as she damn well feels like, but...well, I eventually realized it was all about family. Not just Cora, not just Anne, there are a couple of kids and if I did anything right in that campaign, it was managing to get them safe and secure before the fox was awoken.

I hope she can get some rest now this is over...
