Welp. My friend @art-tea-chill got me into the penguins of madagascar so you know what that means!! OC time!!

Here's the typed out information:

Peniru:

- Species: Mimic Octopus

- Goes by Peni for short

- Came from Indonesia after the Dave/Octopi incident, and because of this faced heavy judgement from the other animals thinking she was like him/his minions, and that her kind personality was a facade. Because of this she got too nervous and shy to leave her tank.

- Lives underneath the penguins

- Has a huge crush on Maurice but is too nervous to confess to him out of fear of Rejection

- Private was the first of the penguins to become her friend

- She has an artistic and creative mind, she likes to create jewelry out of the little things she finds inside her tank, she also enjoys making art pieces using her mimicking ability but she's too sheepish to show them to anybody outside of ariel

- She tends to give seashells she finds to coral.

- She digs herself into the sand of her aquarium and pretends she's a snake to scare away others, if she can't do that she'll blend into her surroundings

- She has a special talent for singing, at night she will leave outside her tank and sing with the comfort of knowing the animals by then are sleeping. some of the animals (mainly king julian and most of his lemurs..) think it's an actual mermaid. this tends to annoy the penguins since they're trying to sleep by then. However, if somebody manages to catch her singing, she'll tense up and tear up and proceed to immediately hop back into her tank.

- She's taller than most octopi, even towering over Dave by quite a bit. this doesn't help to animals perception of her however

- She has anthropophobia

- She likes to sing songs for the few rare animals she trusts.

- She likes to paint!

- In the water, she moves gracefully and elegantly, like a mermaid.

- Just a tad bit afraid of rico

Ariel:

- She's a sentient fish who serves as penirus best friend, think of her as Peniru's flounder. she is her voice of reason and rational thinking, and calms her down during her fits of panic, She was first given to Peniru as food to eat by the zookeepers, but Peniru couldn't bring herself to do it, especially upon learning that Ariel has sapience, and the two of bonded ever sense. at first, Ariel may seem like she's annoyed by the everyday Schnanigans of the zoo, overly pessimistic and cranky, but deep down really doesn't mind, only wanting to make sure Peniru is okay in the end. She can't speak formerly and can only speak in a language known as "Bubblelise", and only Peniru is able to translate this language for others. The penguin she's closest to is Kowalski, but she surprisingly also has a fondness for Rico, relating to his ability to not speak properly, but his love for kabooming on the other hand (fin?)..

As a P.S: she likes to call Peniru, "Ru-Ru" :3

Madagascar OC - Irene the harpy eagle

Hey everyone!

I've been wanting to show you my OC from Madagascar for so long but was too shy... I absolutely adore this franchise—you have no idea how much!!!

So, meet my birdie—her name is Irene, and she's a South American harpy eagle!! I wanted to create an article about her on Wiki Fandom, but I'm not really good at that stuff, so I decided to tell you all about her here instead :D

If you're curious, here's a little bit about her personality (very briefly)

Irene has a sharp mind and always knows how to approach problems from different angles. She's well-versed in the humanities and can read, unlike many other animals. She loves literature, especially classic Russian works. She's also confident and, despite growing up in the tropical jungle, she’s been taught good manners

Irene can often come across as blunt and overly critical when it comes to pointing out others' flaws, which makes her a challenging team player. That's why she doesn't interact with other creatures as frequently. She quickly assesses situations and formulates plans based on logic and rationality. However, her emotional side sometimes gets in the way of staying objective

Introducing Asha!

She is one of four child animals saved from animal smugglers. She’s a pre-teen in lion years (basically a 13 yr old). Alex suspected a group of shady humans were animal smugglers and saved her and the other kids (with help of the penguins ofc) and now the circus basically becomes their family with MANY trials.

Asha’s long tuft of hair is her mane staring to grow out which she hates but she learns that human girls usually have long and often big hair so she’s coming to terms with it.

New PoM OC I’d like to share with y’all :)

Little trivia for him since a mutual of mine did it for their characters:

- He meets the penguins in Shanghai after he witnessed Dave kidnap the penguins at the Rio de Janeiro zoo and with enough trust, he befriends them!

- He mostly speaks Portuguese but speaks English with animals who don't understand his language.

- Gene is genuinely a kind-hearted dude who's pretty chill with a lot of stuff, so it is rare when he gets angry a bit.

- Gene’s voice claim is Bruno Mars! (it was originally going to be Pitbull since he did make a song for the film, but I decided to give him Bruno since he's a bit younger)

- The name Gene is a reference to Bruno Mars’s real name Peter Gene Hernandez :D

- He is in a loving relationship with a female Cockatoo, Robyn! (I'll make a reference and trivia for her, don't worry)

He’s inspired by Parker the platypus and an early concept for the tpom movie villain but I think it would have been pretty cool to see Blowhole have more henchmen

I finished something I wanted to draw for quite a while. I headcanon that Kiyoko is like little sis for them all (older one for Private). She is lost without them. She is broken and alone. But they gave her reasons to move on. They gave her reasons to forget about her past and heal wounds, find happiness, and grow stronger. And they are those reasons. They are her new family. She is not alone anymore.

Art gift for one of my moots, @herbs-and-spices-and-flowers, with their pom OCs, The South Hunt (+ other OCs of theirs :3) I had kinda took me a while to draw and colour some of the characters, especially Adale and Lark since they are both birds I hadn't drawn before😭 but at least it was a good challenge to try and draw them!!

btw, sorry I hadn't really posted art in a good while guys. I've just been busy with a lot of other art projects and this 😭 BUT DONT WORRY!! I'll post some more artwork soon :D

Finally got back to my drawing tablet so here’s Otto 🦦

He’s a Dr Blowhole henchman I came up with bc I thought it would have been cool to see more villains

Some stuff I thought of

He’s an unhinged North American river otter with slight murderous intent

Fun fact, otters can be pretty sadistic and kill for the thrill so I think it would fit his character (also going for the classic scary dreamworks villain style oop)

Otters are also pretty strong and they’re hunters, so I think it would be pretty neat to have his fighting style be all claws and teeth rather than kick and punch, which is what the penguins are used to

So he’d be one of the first villains that can put up a proper fight against them and give em a good ol’ scare, since they never rlly had a villain that outmatched them before (would create some great internal conflict for the little guys, especially for Skipper who’s mr always wins)

Since Marlene is also an otter I feel like she could put up a good fight against him bc she’d have a similar fighting style (although she’d be reluctant to hurt anyone but I mean she’d defo do it when someone’s trying to ctrl alt delete her friends, especially late-show Marlene who joins them on missions more frequently and starts taking after them a bit)

Also notice their contrasting colour palettes, it’s on purpose haha I love character design
