#yeah im gonna gush abt the borderlands ost again#it slaps so hard and i dont see many people talking abt it SOB#but this one especially got me by the balls#cause it really adds to the intensity of the decision of whether you should trust jack or fiona#like you can feel rhys' nerves and conflicting emotions through the soundtrack alone#cause even tho you yourself know jack is Bad and fiona is the objectively good option you also know that rhys has a different perspective#fiona is a pandoran con artist which should be reason enough to not trust her (dude is NOT immune to hyperion propaganda)#but shes also tough and survived for 29 whole years WHILE ALSO protecting her sister so she's gotta be doing something right#and even rhys could tell fiona is very genuine. plus they set out to find the vault together so he kinda has to trust her at some point#but then theres jack who hes idolized for so long and hes literally in his ear telling him not to trust fiona#but trusting jack means giving jack way too much access to his cybernetics and even tho hes a massive fanboy hes also aware of jacks nature#and on top of this hard decision theres also a time limit. like he had to make this choice on the spot#IM TELLING YOU MAN THAT SCENE IS CRAZY. I GET GOOSEBUMPS THINKING ABOUT IT#and no matter who you pick at the end youre always like 'well. this doesnt bode well'#because youve either essentially given jack access to your brain or youve pissed jack off and neither of those are good#rhys was in a lose-lose situation there#txt

Defending Koichi Sugiyama is insane because even if you’re okay with the rape and war crimes apologia and laughing at the suicide rates of LGBT people in Japan, as a Dragon Quest fan you should still hate him for intentionally making the OST for Dragon Quest XI midi so people would have to pay to go to his concerts and hear the orchestral score
#we’re not rewriting history there’s a reason a portion of dragon quest fans were celebrating his death#also it’s his fault games like rocket slime had such unimpressive osts#like sure the songs in rocket slime were good but every level in the game had the SAME bgm#and then it was the SAME SONG in slime morimori 3#i’m willing to bet slime morimori gba had the same ost as the ds game too#he got so much worse in the 2000’s#dragon quest games were rarely even allowed to do arrangements of his music because he owned the rights to them#and was very protective over letting square enix use anything but the same orchestral versions he had recorded years ago#i hope square is able to take more freedoms with the soundtracks now

#The Atypical Family#I haven’t enjoyed/ been so moved by a drama in a very long time ❤️#just finished it I cried so much & SO hard haha#I was completely immersed and engaged from beginning to end which is rare (12 eps is a good length too)#I didn’t expect it to have so much depth and be so touching going into it I just wanted something different#mental illnesses complex interesting characters complicated -toxic- family relationships fantasy fated lovers found family...#well written and WONDERFULLY acted!!#the whole cast was amazing but the two leads were just outstanding wow#never saw either of them in big roles and now I’m a huge fan of both#Chun Woo Hee I’m so in love with you#I’m usually more touched by the female lead (actress/character) but the male lead actor was acting his ass off and made me SOB many times#his scenes with his daughter Ina oh I was a MESS and of course the lead couple scenes together <3#I also haven’t been that impressed by romance lately in shows but theirs was truly beautiful (and again: really well acted)#I could relate to parts of most characters: Dahae Donghee Gwiju Ina..#a poetic emotional rollercoaster and my favorite drama this year so far (by far)#now I want to carry on watching Queen of Tears (mainly for my Queen Kim Jiwon I’m her number one fan) and watch Lovely Runner too#but it will be hard to beat this one and I highly recommend it!!#deserved more love & attention#my mom loved it too it standed out to her and she watches ALL the kdramas lol#forgot to mention the magical OST I see you by the oh so great Lee Sora and her bewitching voice <3#I also haven’t been so moved by an ost in a long time it added so much to the atmosphere of the drama & really transported me into its worl#korean drama#2024#shots#cinematography#jang ki yong#cheon wo hee#Claudia Kim#park soyi

anyways im about halfway through scavengers reign and this show is so nuts. everything going on with kamen is so nuts. i love ursula so much and everything with azi and levi is SO GOOD ..... i started watching this FOR azi and levi and unsurprisingly theyre my faves. love those 2. i have very mixed feelings on sam though i both love and hate him
#silver tongues#the animation is beautiful. it has just the right amount of gore to itch my brain but not so excessive i cant rec it to people who dont lov#gore. the plot is riveting. the nature in this show is so GOOD#it fills me with like . whimsy#im so interested in whatever the hell is happening with kamen though. i by no means think hes like A Good Guy or whatever but hes definitel#an interesting ass character#i hope this gets s2. im sad its not on canadian netflix bc i wouldve loved to watch it to give it the support#the ost is very good too. has its bangers while being mostly background and ambient which fits the tone of the show very well#also whatever sex thing azi and levi have going on enthralls me. i havent recovered from when i first saw that scene clipped on here. man#levi has EVERYTHING i love in a robot character.....levi i love you

all that said. despite so much of this stuff being heavily future-based. i find og jsr more fun to actually Play LMAO
#mod noname#not yoyo#like. i dont know if i can say one is better than the other#they are very different games that try to do very different things#and they have diff strengths and weaknesses too#like i prefer the og's artstyle but future has more fun settings#and i think i geeeenerally would say im a future ost guy (though theyre both very good)#(us!og jsr has dragula which is hilarious to me and a point in its favor tho.)#and future obviously has more story stuff going on. and hits my preferred sweet spot of zaniness i think#but og jsr is just straight up more fun for me#the combat in future is not great imo and i def prefer how FUCKING STRESSFUL og jsr's enemies are LOL#but that said - i am also a guy who likes to Dodge things more than fight them!#and also while future's maps are like. big and complex#that actually makes things HARDER for me because my ass gets lost SUPER easily#so the comparatively more compact maps in og jsr is more up my alley#i also like og jsr's fucked up overly precise grinding/combos mechanics because im sick in the head.#ultimately i think theyre both flawed but enjoyable games though#and their flaws are very endearing to me#so many things in both games that just leaves me like “WHAT??
