I have all of my liver donation physical appointments tomorrow. I'm pretty nervous about finding out that I'm not eligible. At least I'm pretty sure that on the day I'll be too busy freaking out trying to get to all of my appointments on time to think about the potential results. Wish me luck!

ngl i am side eyeing iditarod officials a bit for them penalizing dallas seavey for not "properly gutting" the moose the he shot to protect his team. the rule about gutting downed animals does not define what "properly gutted" means. He gutted the moose and i myself would have also eschewed "properly" gutting a dead animal to ensure my dogs were okay (especially relevant knowing Faloo was critically injured, but is now home safe).

i understand the spirit of the gutting rule (saving meat for surrounding communities and in general low/no waste of resources), but it needs to be weighed against providing dog care which imo of this situation should absolutely take precedence.

This is one of those moments in life where I wanna collapse inward the most. Whenever that happens I go back to a few different shows and games. Nemik’s Manifesto from Andor (and Andor in general) stands out as a particularly resonant with current events. I want to repeat it here. Just like I’ll be repeating it to myself in the coming weeks and months.

every fandom comes with new and unique logistical challenges in fanfic writing. I fail to predict most of them until I'm in the middle of it all. apparently today I can't keep writing unless I figure out what Zalcatron 5000 (the refrigerator) was doing at a certain point in time because nooo, we couldn't just have a normal refrigerator, we had to have one that's capable of leaving and having a fling with the former emperor's son (I think? I think it was Justin Ballwheat and not Centurion Tiddle, right? do I have it backwards?? who did the fridge get with? the wiki is disappointingly underdeveloped and there are no transcripts for the episodes in question) and I can't move on unless I know whether the fridge is even on the ship or not. I'm not writing about the fridge btw I just need someone else to get food and I have no idea where it's being stored because the fridge running off to be a floozy was kind of a subplot for a while

This started as a joke artwork, but I... I think I ended up accidentally creating a new AU after getting back into Organ Trail again.

Reasons for taking the offer:  Flora’s father has noticed that factory work is dangerous for his daughter’s health.  Flora’s cough isn’t getting better so when it was suggested for her to go he said yes in hopes the new area will improve her health.  Flora was just excited to get out of the crowded house hold.

Family Back ground: Third son, his father owns a farm that is the main supplier to most of Windenberg’s factories.

Reasons for taking the offer:  For Elliott farming is in his blood and having the opportunity to farm in a new land.  Felt like a dream come true so when offered he said yes.

From: Granite Falls

Gender: Male

Age: Young Adult - 20

Class: Lower Class

Family Back ground: He is the second son only because his twin came first.  There are 6 sons and 2 daughters in his family.  They mainly hunt and fish some crops grow there but the others bring in more money.

Reasons for taking the offer:  Ollie it was an easy decision to go since it meant one less mouth to feed.  He also had no worries since his father had plenty of help from his brothers.

Family Back ground: He grew up in an orphanage in Copperdale. When turning 18 he left to work in the wood mills of Moonwood Mill.

Family Back ground:  Her parents only had two children she is the oldest while her brother is ten years younger.

Reasons for taking the offer:  Her father owed a huge debt to one of the wealthy families in Willow Creek. The family of four served them for five years to pay of the debt. When everything was said and done there wasn't enough money for all four of them so she decided to take the offer to help her family.

Family Back ground: She is the youngest and only daughter out of four children. Her father is part of the trading company so she knows a little bit of business.

Love the phrasing of this because it absolutely does make me think of some hidden entrance in the side of a mountain leading to a cavern with an underground forge and dwarven workshop full of rare and possibly enchanted metalcraft.

Welp, tomorrow the transplant team is deciding whether or not I'm able to donate. And they'll contact me to let me know right after. I really didn't expect a decision so quickly, and I'm kind of a combination of excited and freaked out.

last post i reblogged got me thinkin about how DRAMATIC the lives of my dolls used to be. my main dollhouse storyline was that the dollhouse was actually a resort hotel with a hot tub (bowl of warm water) and all sorts of other features, and there were two main families on vacation there, staying in rooms side by side, leading vastly different lives otherwise. except the parents of both families all knew each other as kids and were all secretly in love and have been thinking about each other for years, but they had a huge falling out and swore to never see each other again so when they find out they’re all staying there they try their best to avoid contact…. but while on vacation there’s a major natural disaster (usually all of them mixed into one), and two of the kids (one from each family, the youngest smallest weakest most pathetic children) go missing and the rest of them are barricaded in their room due to earthquakes and flooding and fires, and one parent from each family swaps and two of them go on a rescue mission while the others try to get out of the rooms, all while the kids are learning to get along despite their differences, and the parents realise that they got the fathers mixed up originally and now they don’t know whose real parents are whose, and also actually the resort ends up being under a terrorist/hostage situation, and the parents that are on the rescue mission keep almost dying and saving each other….. and then by the end of it the parents realise they’re all 4 in love and should just be a blended family and all the kids get to be siblings with 4 parents and live in a mansion together. but they all have ptsd from the events of their vacation and end up all sleeping in one room together forever.

and then i’d do it all over again
