angsty kacchan is fine but i want kacchan to don the metaphorical revenge dress and respond to the “rejection” by showing deku everything he’s missing. do post-battle interviews with reporters he never used to entertain before, with his mask off and eyeliner smeared and muscles bulging through the tears in his uniform. find a sidekick or two with that “gonna surpass you” energy and bring them along when he guest lectures for deku’s class. maybe even spar with them, soaring around the training grounds with the same fierce grin that hasn’t changed since he was sixteen, while deku watches at a safe distance with his students. break top 5 in the hero rankings before the end of the year. let the paparazzi snap photos of him out and about, arm-in-arm with camie or eating soba with shouto, looking fine as hell.
kacchan doesn’t give up on what he wants, and he will secure his absolute victory. being in his twenties has changed nothing about his drive to succeed, except the tactics available to him. deku doesn’t know what’s about to hit him.

Izuku's weird ass intensity about being a hero and wanting to beat Kacchan was the most interesting part of him. Yeah he was a great person, but a protagonist needs to me more than a good human to be interesting.
I think that's why 431 is like????
So inheriting AMs legacy was just not important? Their lifelong rivalry ended first year high school when they achieved being the greatest heroes who save to win and win to save for FIVE MINUTES? You're saying they went through ALL THAT just to PEAK IN HIGH SCHOOL????????
Like I would understand if Izuku wanted to chill if he was fighting for years and lost his childhood to his heroic fate like Harry Potter, but he literally just lived out all his dreams for ONE YEAR. He wasn't just supposed to he a hero because the world needed one, he was supposed to be a hero because that was what he always wanted.
Sure, his ending is proving that there are many other ways to be a hero, which is great, but instead he's like a full time teacher and casual hero? And heroism is just a cool thing he gets to do? And all the kids he went to school with still maintained their passion? Except for the most passionate of all who's passion seems to have died in highschool, because he was fueled by the need to compete. And through the entire story he learns how to compete in a healthy way that isn't motivated by self-loathing and acted out through abuse. And then his lifelong rival who vowed to surpass him just dips out of the competition after surpassing him for 1 day (even though only Kacchan actually seemed to recognise that because Izuku tends towards extreme modestly).
I am ramble mcramblesen rn sorry - I just wanted to see these boys be interesting and passionate and EXCELLING. Instead one is doing alright for himself and the other is just kind of finding his way and seemingly unsatisfied.

Chapter 1- Shark Coven
Masterlist
Trigger warning; talk a little abt unaliving Summary: Reader has a shark quirk that runs in the family and is trying to go to U.A with her best/only friend. Well walking home from school a villain attack you. Info on fam and quirk here
“Can someone go get Vixen?" Mom asks as Dad sets up the table with help from me and Grim.
"I GOT IT!" Bruce says and run upstairs to get her. Once everyone sits at the table we begin to eats eggs and bacon.
"10 and under go with dad and everyone else goes with Meg. Oh and Ruby, you have a doctors appointment today. I'll pick you up from school early. Remember everyone be safe." Mom says we all nod our heads showing that we understand. Once Meg, me and Vixen finish we head out to the car.
"Meg you want to drive?" Vixen asks.
"Sure." She hops into the front seat with Vixen with me in the back. After a couple minutes I get dropped off. I walk to Katsuki locker to see him.
"Hey Jaws." He says as I nod up to him. The other two whatever the fuck their names are just wave. They talk and we walk to class and sit down.
"So, since you're all third-years, it's time for you to think seriously about your futures.I'll pass out handouts for your future plans now, but..." the teacher stops and picks up a stack of paper.
"You're all pretty much planning to go into the hero course, right?" Then he throws the paper into the ceiling. I pick one up as kids cheer and use their quirks. Not like they have a chance to make it in. Not even my sister Meg could make it in.
"Yes, yes, you all have wonderful Quirks! But using your powers at school is against the rules!" Everyone stops.
"Teach! Don't lump us all in the same group. I'm not gonna be stuck at the bottom with the rest of these rejects." Katsuki says as he jump on his desk.
"That was uncalled for, Katsuki!" One kids says.
"You all should shut up like the extras you are!" He yells back. I can't disagree with that, most of these kids will probably just have normal civilian jobs. Not that having those jobs make you an ‘extra’.
"Oh, if I remember correctly, you want to go to U.A. High, right, Bakugo and Fuka?" The teacher says, I honestly have no idea what his names is.
"U.A.? That national school?!" One kids says.
"It was in the top 0.2% this year, you know!" Another says.
"Their acceptance rate is always really low, too!" This is like a main character moment for him.
"That's exactly why you guys are just extras! I aced the mock test! I'm the only one at this school who could possibly get into U.A. I'll definitely surpass All Might and become the top hero! My name will be inscribed on the list of top earners!" He says with his hand lighting up.
"My quirk is stronger then most of you think you know. I mean my jaw alone has the force of 18,000 Newtons." I say with some gasp at it and other are to stun to speak.
"Oh yeah, Midoriya wanted to go to U.A., too, right?" I look down at my desk not wanting to be apart of this.
"Erk!" Midoriya hides his head as everyone (but me) stares at him.
"Hahahaha!" Almost everyone laugh, I mean he could be one of those support tects for heroes.
"Huh? Midoriya? No way!" One yells with tears of laughter.
"You can't get into the hero course just by studying!" Another says.
"Th-They got rid of that rule! There's just no precedent." Midoriya says.
"Urahh!" Pffft- what is that noise?!? Katsuki then explodes his hands on Midoriya desk, leaving a mark.
"Gah! Ngh." I- what the what are these noise coming out of peoples mouths?
"Hey, Deku! You're below the rejects! You're Quirkless! How can you even stand in the same ring as me?!" I should stop this. Or do I wait to see if Midoriya gets some bones in his body?
"No, wait, Kacchan! It's not like I'm trying to compete with you or anything! Believe me! It's just that it's been my goal ever since I was little. And well... I won't know unless I try.." Okay now it's time to get up before Katsuki gets in trouble, well I mean it’s unlikely since the teacher still hasn't done anything.
"Whaddaya mean, unless you try?! Are you taking the test for fun?! What the hell can you do? You're Quirkless!"
"Katsuki!" I say as he turns around and looks up to me.
"What?" He says annoyed.
"He clearly does a lot to be able to stand you. Plus so what if he goes? Gives us a higher chance of winning." He looks pissed but sits down. I follow him as the teacher start to talk about math.
After a while the bell rings and it's time to leave, I pack up the few things I brought to school and text Vixen I'm hanging out with Katsuki.
"Hey, let's go to karaoke!" I roll my eyes at the dumb idea thing 1 says.
"Sure, nothing better to do." Thing 2 says. Katsuki walks over to Midoriya with thing 1 and 2 following. Katsuki snatches the notebook from him.
"Ah!" Why does this kid keep making noises?
"We're not done talking yet, Deku." Katsuki says.
"Bakugo, what's that?" Thing 1 says.
"Huh? "Hero Analysis for the Future"? Pfft." Thing 2 says.
"Seriously? Hahaha!" Thing 1 says, why can't I remember anyone's name?
"Foo~! Midoriya." Thing 1 says.
“I-It's fine, isn't it? Give it back!” He says back finally getting a bone in his body.
"Ngh!" Bakugo explodes the book. Shit-.
"Katsuki what the hell?" I say. Midoriya frowns and makes a sad noise. Kat then goes to throw the notebook outside but I catch it. Though it seems no one notices.
"Hmph... Most top first-string heroes have stories about them from their school days. I want the shine of being able to be called the one of two student to only make it into U.A from this mediocre city junior high school. I mean, I'm a perfectionist." Katsuki says and puts his smoking hand on Midoriya's shoulder.
"So anyway, don't apply to U.A., nerd." He finishes
"Come on, you could at least say something back." Thing 1 says.
"Don't say that. He's pathetic. He still can't face reality." Thing 2 says back.
"Ah... If you wanna be a hero that badly, there's a quick way to do it. Believe that you'll be born with a Quirk in your next life and take a last-chance dive off the-." Katsuki says but I smack him upside the head.
"Bakugo!" I yell angry as I'm finally notice. Katsuki rolls his eyes, and leaves. We walk out and I bring the notebook, maybe dad can fix it. I stop once we get outside.
"I'll catch up in a second my shoe’s untied." Katsuki nods and walks ahead. I wait for Midoriya to come.
"Midoriya-." I get cut of by a scream.
"Eek!" He screams.
"Sorry for scaring you. I just wanted to tell you, you'll be a hero someday. Doesn't matter if that mean a pro or not. And what Katsuki said back there meant nothing! I'll talk to him but if you ever do feel, um doing it. Text me anytime, anywhere." I hand him my number and leave. He looks down at it and doesn't look back up at me. I jog once I'm out of sight to get to Katsuki.
(I can't find the script for episode 2 so this might be messy, sorry)
"So video games or we could try and get into the club?" Thing 2 says, what?
"The club? You really think you, the brain of a 5 year old could get into one?" He rolls his eyes at me.
"I'm going to U.A I'm not going to try and go to jail." Katsuki says we then turn into an ally.
"Hey extras can you give me and Katsuki a minute." They leave and Katsuki leans against the wall.
"You can't say shit like that. Midoriya might be a loser but heroes don't tell people to go unalive themselves. Promise me you'll say sorry about it." I say he looks at my eyes.
"Tch, fine. Only because you have a fucking point. Let's go, I know you're hungry." We walk and he then kicks a bottle. Suddenly a slime ball gets out of the bottle.
"The fuck?" We say at the same time.
"Your a prefect meat suit." It smiles and attack Katsuki and pushes me into a wall. My head hits the wall and I pass out.
"Pro-heroes our now trying to save two teens that are involved in the attack." I hear a someone say, I open my eyes to see everything on fire. What the? I look down to see a metal bar on my lap. I pick it up easily and move it.
"Hey kid! Can you walk?!" A hero yell.
"Yeah!" He holds a hand out but he gets hit with a explosion. He flys back and I turn towards the villain. I look around and grab the metal bar and throw it. It hits the villain but just goes through it.
"You really thought that would work?" It says loudly.
"I mean kinda but I got more tricks up my sleeve." I run towards it and bite a chuck off. I spit it out and make a disgusting face.
"Bleh, you taste like sewerage and a hairball had a child." It comes towards me with a slime hand and holds me up.
"You can be my next meat suit!"
"As if!" I turn into a shark for a spilt second and he drops me.
"What the hell?" I land on my feet and look around.
"Kid what are you doing?" Another pro yells.
"Being a better hero then you are apparently!" I then see Midoriya run at us. He hits it with his backpack and I grab the bar again. It was probably twice my size.
"Midoriya get out of here! You'll get hurt!" I yell as the slime arm goes to hit him. I push him out the way and smash the bar on it. Then out of nowhere All Might comes in and smash the slime guy and holds on to all three of us.
"Katsuki!" I grab him once All Might puts us down. I check his body to make sure he's okay.
"Let. Go. Of. Me." I look down at him and glare. Suddenly we're surround by news reporters. A mic gets to close to my face so I chomp it. I spit it out and glare at the man.
"Can you tell us how this happened?" A women shove another mic into our faces. Katsuki hits my shoulder as to tell me not to bite it.
"Shut up!" He yells and All Might comes over to help us. I roll my eyes and a mic gets passed to me once again.
"Ma'am is it true about what you said? "Being a better hero then you apparently." Do you think some hero here shouldn't be heroes?" She ask.
"...Heroes aren't just heroes because they say they are. My quirk isn't good with fire but I still tried. Everyone here today beside All Might was a fake hero. Now get that mic out of my face before I bite it." I say with a deadly glare and she moves the mic. After a while we get to leave and we walk to my house.
"Stop here." Katsuki says and see Midoriya he walks over.
"IM NOT FUCKING THANKING YOU! YOUR STILL A WORTHLESS FUCKING NOBODY, WHO WILL NEVER BE A DAMN HERO!" Wow...
“Uhm” I loud clear my throat.
“…Don’t fucking kill yourself.”
“Uhm” I do it again. He rolls his eyes.
“Sorry about saying that, shouldn’t have said to do it.”
"Come on my family probably worried sick right now." I drag Katsuki away and he start to walk. We don't talk the rest of the walk. I walk into my house as Katsuki walks ahead to his.
"OH MY BABY!" Dad says and everyone comes and crush me into a hug.
"You were like pow! Bam! And then you went chomp!" Lenny says and doing punch movements.
"You could be a hero!" Ruby yells and jumps up and down.
"Then when you bit the microphone! That was totally wicked!!!!" Bruce yells.
"Don't ever scare me like that again!!" Dad yells and then hugs me.
"I'm just glad your okay." He says and kiss my forehead.

My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising - Alternative Ending
I know the movies been out awhile but !!SPOILERS!! just in case!
I just got done watching my hero academia heroes rising for the 3rd time and trust me I love the end fight scene just as much as everyone else, but something about how they explain The whole “one for all staying in Deku” always just rubs me the wrong way. It almost seems like the writers either made it up last minute or they made it short for the sake of time (No hate to the writers! They did a fantastic job). Either way I thought I would share my idea for an alternative ending to the movie with some sweet sweet character development :)
This is also my first attempt of writing any thing like this, so sorry if it doesn't make sense.
A little Backstory: Instead of One for All staying in Deku, it fully transfers to Bakugou, Deku is quirkless again and they are now at the hospital healing from the fight.
Enjoy!
------------------
Deku decided that he had been laying on the hospital bed for long enough. Hopping of the bed he began to slowly make his way to the balcony that was attached to their room, hoping to stretch his sore legs and get some fresh air. Staring out onto the distant city and beach below him, he recalls the words he said to All might the day before.
“I’m sorry, I transferred it too him”
“There was no way we could have saved everyone”
“I don't regret what I did...”
Tears begin to form in his eyes, gripping the railing he tries to blink them away to no avail. He had lost One for All, his only chance at becoming a hero, and now with an unknown future all he could do was reflect on the day priors events.
Meanwhile Bakugou sits up in his adjacent bed and glances over in Dekus direction. He gives a quiet irritated grunt while placing his feet on the floor. With a final hoist out of the bed, pain shoots up his bandaged arm – the reminiscence of him using One for All, an ultimate power he now carried. Hearing the quiet sniffles coming from Deku’s direction, he shakes his head and proceeds to walk out onto the balcony.
“Hey Nerd!” he calls out
Deku quickly snaps around to face him, all while hurriedly wiping away the tears that had formed, trying to conceal that he was crying. He gives Bakugou a weak smile.
“Ah–Kacchan! I didn't see you there, how is your arm?”
“Its fine. No thanks to your stupid quirk.”
“Heh.. you mean your stupid quirk” Deku chuckles, but hangs his head down trying to conceal his face.
Bakugou stares at him with a quirked eyebrow, then looked to the ground as well, giving a disgruntled sigh before speaking
“Stop acting like it doesn’t bother you.”
Deku quickly looks up at him with a puzzled look
“Wha– what do you mean?”
“You know what I mean! Bakugou shouts “Loosing One for All.”
“oh...” Deku looks down at his scarred hands and sighs “well I can’t say I’m not upset about loosing one for all – but at least I got to be a real hero for a little bit... and help those who needing saving!”
Bakugou can’t help the shocked look that spreads across his face, all while Deku continues
“Besides, now you don’t have to compete with me. You’ll become the Number One Hero no problem, with One for All!”
Deku continues to talk but Bakugou doesn't hear it, tuning him out as memories from their childhood play in his head.
Wow! You're so lucky
Your quirk is amazing Kacchan!
When I get mine I hope its just as cool as yours!
Bakugou clenches his fist at his thoughts and gives a small grimace knowing what he must do. Reaching up, he plucks a single hair from atop his head.
“Eat this!” he shouts, shoving his hand into Midoriya's face without looking at him. Deku only stares at him with shock sprawled on his face.
“Kaccha–”
“One for all was meant for you.” Bakugou cuts him off. “All Might gave it to you, he wanted you to have it… not me.”
“Kacchan...Why?” is all Deku can mutter.
“Because I want to beat you with a fair fight!” he shouts, “I want to Surpass you as the Number One Hero, and I can’t do that if you're quirkless!”
Tears begin to swell in Deku’s eyes “Kacchan, I–”
“Just shut up and eat it! Its already weird as it is – I don’t need your stupid crying to make it weirder!”
Deku slowly reaches out and grabs the strand of hair from Bakugou’s grasp.
“Kacchan…Thank…You.” Deku mutters between sobs.
“Whatever. Just don’t make me regret it” Bakugo grumbles, stuffing his hands in his pockets.
“You will regret it! Cause I’ll beat you Kacchan!” Deku states proudly, tears now dissipating
Bakugou laughs “Not if I beat your stupid face first!”
As their back and forth threats continue, unbeknownst to them, All might stands behind the threshold of the balcony, having appeared a few minutes prior to check up on them. Wiping away a single tear that had formed, having seen Bakugou’s sacrifice. A sense of pride washes over him, proud of how far his two boys had come.
------------------
Thanks again for reading, I hope you enjoyed it! Sorry if the ending is a little weird, I just had to add a little bit of dad might into the story :)

Kacchan & Deku: Win to Save and Save to Win - A circular path of parallels (part 1)
Tumblr media
Okay so it had probably already been talked to death by now, but i'd like to write a detailed list of how Midoriya and Bakugou's respective paths are and had always been paralleled since the beginning. And it's not just with the whole "save to win and win to save" thing, which is the most obvious textual part of it, but there are a lot of more subtle hints along the way too. I mean in nearly every single arcs, for each of Midoriya development, Bakugou had one too (albeit in a completely opposite direction).
This post is also partly in response to some anime-only fans who complained about Bakugou's development in the Joint Training Arc coming from the left field... Which actually isn't? Like Kirishima said it had never been as obvious before but there were definite hints about it and I'll try to show them as thoroughly as possible in this post.
Warning ! This post will be quite long and will contain Manga Spoilers up to chapter 317 in part 3!
¤ From the Pre-UA era To Deku vs Kacchan: their starting lines
Tumblr media
(more under the cut)
When I said that the parallel started early, I really meant early. In fact, it started as early as the very first panel they were in.
Tumblr media
I think it is very telling that the first time we saw them, Midoriya is trying to defend another kid, while Bakugou is seen using his quirk (and actually introducing the reader/viewer to the whole concept of quirk in the first place). It tells us right here, right then on the very first second, that Midoriya Izuku is physically weak but a savior at heart and Bakugou Katsuki has a strong quirk but is a bully asserting his dominance.
This of course led to diametrical beliefs on what a hero is and should be and we've got those two very iconic moments to illustrate:
Tumblr media
And of course it reflected into their behaviors, even as kids.
Tumblr media
What I find really interesting in the way those flashbacks were presented is that Midoriya's saving moment was told through Bakugou's POV, while Bakugou's winning side was seen through Midoriya's eyes.
Those moments were deemed important because they deeply impacted the witnessing party and not actually the "wining/saving" one.
(I think someone commented once that while the river scene was highly pivotal for Bakugou, Midoriya probably doesn't even remember it. And likewise Bakugou probably doesn't remember fighting and winning against some random older kids, but Midoriya definitively does. And I totally agree!)
At those moment both Bakugou and Midoriya saw in the other something that they were clearly lacking and their reactions to this realization were wildly different as well.
"He doesn't take himself into account, you know. Something doesn't feel right. It makes me wanna keep him at arm's length. Back then, I ignored my own weakness, so I ended up bullying him" - Bakugou Katsuki
"You who had so many things I didn't have... To me, you were an amazing person much closer than All Might! That's why I keep chasing after you!!" - Midoriya Izuku
Midoriya saw this amazing kid kicking ass with his strong quirks and his first reaction was admiration and wanting to get as close as possible to this person, because he was all too aware of his own weakness and shortcoming.
Bakugou saw this selfless kid trying to help him and displaying qualities that he didn't have and his first reaction was to lash out and push that kid as far away as possible because he didn't want to recognize his own weaknesses and shortcomings.
Which, you know, probably describes their entire childhood dynamics haha...
... and then the sludge villain happened.
And it brought with it the iconic "My legs moved on their own" and "Your eyes were begging for help" moments which we all know about of course, but this scene also had another more immediate parallel that I'd like to talk about.
Tumblr media
Bakugou tried to fight the sludge villain on his own but ultimately failed to win.
Midoriya tried to rescue Bakugou on his own from the sludge villain but ultimately failed to save him.
The sludge villain was a reality check for both of them, in a "Nope kiddos, you might aspire to be heroes, but you still have a very long way to go. Here let's insert an All Might to show you just how far away your goal is," kind of way?
Anyway fast-forward 10 months of intense training to prepare for the UA entrance exam.... and really do I even have to mention this?
Tumblr media
I mean the only way it could have been even more textually obvious is if Midoriya had been ranked sixth instead of seventh so that his name would be right next to Bakugou's... like there's even this panel explicitly pointing everything out.
So yeah... nothing to add there, *shrugs*
After that came the Quirk Assessment Test:
Tumblr media
I'm going to come back to this later on in a more detailed way, but regarding their personal development; Midoriya's development is external while Bakugou's is internal. And I don't quite consider the quirk assessment test as "progress" for any of them yet because both of them sort of completely miss the point.
Aizawa told Midoriya "How can you save anyone if you can't move after one hit?" which had the underlying message of "It's not okay to hurt yourself"... But Midoriya totally went like, "Okay then I'll just hurt myself in a way in which I can still move afterward!" So yeah he is just sidestepping the problem here, but well there probably wasn't anything else he could do here.
As for Bakugou, he had always feel threatened by Midoriya's presence, but not in a fighting skills context. They are not really competing on the same field and it had never occurred to Bakugou that Midoriya could really beat him in a one-to-one fight.
As hilarious as the thought of Bakugou truly believing that somehow Deku had managed to take head on building-high robots quirkless is, I think what really happened is... Bakugou saw his own 0 rescue points and thought "Oh... so that's how Deku got in. Damn nerd probably went and save shitty extras left and right!". Which is a more realistic feat to manage quirkless. Anyway my point is, Bakugou realizing Midoriya isn't quirkless should have been a "Shit! He's leveling the field and standing on my playground now!" moment...
But no, what overpowered him here is the thought that the whole time Midoriya had been hiding his quirk from him and went like "What? Am I not good enough for you to use your quirk on me?! STOP LOOKING DOWN ON ME!!! EXPLAIN YOURSELF RIGHT THE FUCK NOW, SHITTY DEKU!!"
So yeah... kind of missing the point too.
Which is why the quirk assessment test wasn't really their starting point but more like them trying to look for it but missing it?
Speaking of starting lines... Let's move on to the Deku vs. Kacchan first round.
Tumblr media
B"From watching the match, it appears Bakugou acted n to surpass Bakugou, All Might pointed that those were the first passionate emotions Midoriya had shown other than "I want to be a hero!". This was the very first moment where Midoriya's desire to win was stronger than his desire to save.
As for Bakugou, this was the moment where he truly he realized that Deku is a threat and not just through his natural heroic/saving disposition like before but on the battlefield which used to be 100% Bakugou's area of expertise. And if even with his non-existent control of quirk Deku had managed to win to such extent, what would happen when Deku managed to truly master his own quirk? Total defeat?! Bakugou is self-aware enough to realize that while his own fighting skills and quirk mastery could still progress, they were already near the top with a not wide enough margin for improvement.
This was the moment where Bakugou realized where he truly stood compared to everyone else around him and that if he wanted to reach the very top again, then only relying on his fighting skills and his quirk control would never be enough. This is what prompted out his feelings of "I have to change or I'll be left in the dust".
And since Deku went and encroached on Bakugou's playground and beat him in the process, there's no way in hell Mr Complete and Irrefutable Win over there wouldn't aim to do exactly the same at some point.
Anyway the two gifs above showed us their motivation to reach their respective Win/Save side of the spectrum, but they both have big issues they need to work on in order to do so.
"From watching the match, it appears Bakugou-san acted on his own because of an obviously personal grudge. As as All Might-sensei said previously, it is foolish to launch a large-scale attack indoors.
In the same way, taking into consideration the damage he received, Midoriya-san's plan was also rash." - Yaoyorozu Momo
Yaoyorozu's analysis was super spot on and hit straight where their weaknesses lie: Bakugou needs to stop acting on his own and learn to cooperate with/trust his teammates and Midoriya needs to stop hurting himself/self-sacrifice and learn to properly control his quirk.
Both of them also have these super heavy shackles that keep pulling them down and impeding their progress at every turn:
Bakugou's complex feelings and emotionally explosive baggage towards Midoriya that makes him go feral and irrational at the drop of a hat and clearly prevents him from properly considering Midoriya as the rival that would keep pulling him up
Midoriya's total and utter idolization of All Might that gives him a tendency to imitate his idol and clearly prevents him from properly realizing and unlocking the potential of his own quirk
And at that point, they clearly don't realize how cumbersome those shackles could be if left unaddressed too long.
Tumblr media
Anyway... this episode/chapter was called "Bakugou Katsuki: Starting line", but I think it can be considered both their starting lines, because this is when they were made aware of what they are lacking and showed their resolve to change.
Midoriya's progress and development is intrinsically linked to his quirk mastery and fighting style, which are inherently physical skills (which is where Bakugou's excels in). It stands to reason then that his progress would therefore be very flashy, hard to miss, and highly praised due to the external aspect of his development.
On the other hand Bakugou's progress and development hinges on him properly getting in touch with his emotions and connecting to other people in healthy way, which are inherently inner-strength qualities (which Midoriya has no shortage of) . It stands to reason then that his progress would therefore be very subtle, mostly unnoticed, and hardly taken into account due to the internal aspect of his development. (Like it'd probably only takes him having a full meltdown or throwing himself in front of someone else for other people to notice how far he had gone!)

Everything is the same but Sorahiko has a cooking youtube called "Torino Cooking"
Okay, so I had no idea how to execute this until I remembered there’s like a whole niche of gaming grandmas. So why not cooking grandpas?
//
There are many, many channels that surpass TorinoCooking on YouTube. In terms of subscribers and video quality, TorinoCooking has little. The narrator is a grouchy old bastard who won’t show his face and moreover, only speaks in Japanese. He doesn’t bother adding any subtitles. The videos are obviously filmed on a phone’s camera. The most TorinoCooking can boast is a consistent weekly upload schedule, and the veritable library of videos available to watch.
Midoriya Izuku stumbles onto TorinoCooking purely out of chance and a messed-up algorithm. He’s young, obsessed with All Might, but not too certain how to navigate YouTube’s celebratory 20XX interface.
(To be fair, for the first hour, no one knows how to navigate the 20XX interface.)
One click leads to another. A clip of All Might entertaining fellow eight year olds--you, too, can be a great hero!--goes into All Might cheerfully following a chef’s instruction on how to make All Might Onigiri--packed with nutrition!--and then…
Izuku squints at the desaturated picture on the player. He holds his All Might figurine close and startles when a rough, warm voice starts to talk.
“There’s only so many recipes in the world,” says an old man. Izuku can tell he’s old because the hands that come on-screen, rinsing the rice by hand, are veined, liver-spotted, and knobbly-knuckled. “I figure there’s no harm making All Might Onigiri. Pah. Cheap trick to get kids eating carrots. Whatever works, I guess.”
The voice is level throughout the video. Nothing shocks the old man.
Izuku is enthralled by the steady camerawork. Most of the videos he watches are bright, bouncy, and prone to swift bursts of scene-cuts. Or in the case of All Might sightings, shaky because of adrenaline. He’s okay with that; he’s shaky too, seeing his hero perform miracles.
But the old man moves with care, and it’s almost soothing on Izuku’s brain to see those All Might onigiri be crafted in a sedate environment. The humorous commentary tends to fly over his head, but it sounds like the old man is inviting him to have a giggle at his expense. Later, Izuku will understand that they are inside jokes.
The video ends with a slightly grainy shot of three neatly-made All Might Onigiri.
The old man says, wryly, “Have no fear, I am here,” and then the screen goes black. The autoplay symbol starts to load, and Izuku frantically leans forward and clicks for the username.
TorinoCooking is old. Like, his account dates back to when YouTube first started!
None of the videos exceed ten minutes, nor do they exceed over a thousand views. Izuku guesses he understands. Torino is kind of boring. He doesn’t even have pop music running in the background.
He clicks another video at random, close to the beginning of the catalogue. All Might will understand.
“Brat,” says a younger Torino irritably, “stop messing with my phone.”
The shadows obscuring the camera fade away to reveal a smiling boy with yellow sunflower hair, stronger than Kacchan’s, and fluffier too. His smile is so familiar. Izuku unconsciously mirrors it, and feels a pang of loss when the boy moves out of frame. The view turns to a cutting board, with various bell peppers, a slice of ham, and an onion are set aside.
“Sorry, sorry, Torino-sensei,” the boy laughs. “But oshishou said your hair was in frame last time! She also said you should get higher counters, so you don’t have to keep hunching over them.”
“Hn. Stop hovering and do your homework.”
“I already did it! I thought you said you were gonna teach me how to cook!”
“That’s what the videos are for.” Torino’s hands, firmer and more clear-skinned with youth, come into frame. They are holding a very big knife. “Do you want your Denver omelette or what?”
“I do, I do,” says the boy, frantic. “Um, uh, I have--a project. Yep. I will now be doing that project, in my room… can I have extra ham?”
Torino audibly growls. Izuku clutches All Might close, wide-eyed, even though the knife on-screen isn’t quivering with malicious intent. The boy yelps and apparently leaves the kitchen, because then Torino sighs and turns his attention to the cutting board.
His left hand adds another slab of ham.
“Going soft,” Torino mutters, and then he’s slicing and dicing, as coolly competent as he is decades later. “Core your peppers,” he continues, “and segment them like this. Then you can stack and cut more evenly…”
Izuku’s mom finds him sleeping in the desk’s chair, lulled to sleep by the endless recipes.
(The very first video is about taiyaki. It isn’t Torino’s hands in frame, but the hands are large and square and worn from work. It isn’t Torino’s voice that comes through the speakers, but the voice is low and smooth and undeniably feminine.
“I asked you to film videos for Toshinori’s benefit. Why am I being the guinea pig for your video set-up?”
“Karmic retribution.”
The woman laughs. And if you listen very, very closely, there is a soft, fond chuckle accompanying her.)

WHY DEKU IS A GRYFFINDOR AND BAKUGOU A SLYTHERIN
OK Imma go into EXCRUCIATING DETAIL about why I totally believe Kacchan is a Slytherin and Deku a Gryffindor 😊 And check out my Hogwarts Au for the story and headcanons!
VERY LONG POST AHEAD SO PLEASE READ CAREFULLY and take your time :3
First Bakugou…
Before anything I NEED to point out that Katsuki DOES have Gryffindor traits, but he has MORE Slytherin traits. I do believe people do have traits for all the houses but the traits that stand out the most are the ones that determine which house you go in. I dug A LOT of Slytherin and Gryffindor meta to make this analysis so yeahh 😊
ALSO ALSO I want to say that I DON’T PUT BAKUGOU IN SLYTHERIN CAUSE HE HAS THE BAD GUY VIBES AT FIRST OR USE TO BE A BULLY. NO. I actually hate that stereotype and I want to break it. I DIDN’T put him in Slytherin for that. It’s because he does have almost all the traits that ACTUALLY define Slytherin. Slytherins are NOT bullies, are NOT evil, are NOT always the bad guys and are so misunderstood most of the time. So no... I think Katsuki is a Slytherin for a LOT of different things that are NOT negative. Slytherins are characterized for being cunning and ambitious and those are not inherently bad things. You just need a little push sometimes.
ALSO ALSO ALSO, I need people to understand that Slytherins are actually very highly regarded as excellent students and people who accomplish things. Forget HP and what most people’s perceptions of what Slytherins are. Their traits are NOT inherently bad and just like Bakugou… The drive to succeed can be good when pointed in the right direction.
OK Now Izuku…. This one’s even longer
I think People perception of Izuku is just SO WRONG most of the time, specially from people who hate him and say he’s bland and has no development. To those people I say screw you cause after MUCH further analysis you understand that he’s actually just SO DEEP and multilayered that you don’t have to rely on your typical character development to understand how his mind works and how he works in the setting of MHA and how deeply flawed and has so much to learn and he’s actually such a great character.
Ok so as I said before, having traits from other houses is normal and you can have more than one inclination… that being said… This one is a bit complicated… most people think that because Deku is a soft bumble of goodness and joy he’s instantly Hufflepuff… of because he’s analytical and strategic he’s an instant Ravenclaw… But I disagree… after A LOT of research I understood a LOT of things about Gryffindor. As a Gryffindor myself I understand that, it’s a complicated house… Not because you’re “brave” of want to “do the right thing” it means you’re Gryffindor… ANOTHER stereotype I want to break. But I do think it goes deeper than that.
Now I DON’T MIND putting Deku in Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw, I have mad respect for those houses. He DOES have a lot of them traits specially Hufflepuff, but LITERALLY the first episode we see how his most prominent traits (just like Hermione or Ron) are his daring, justice-seeking hero-like personality that actually puts jumping into action even if you’re scared, even if you’re chances are slim, above all his traits. His analytical and soft side are actually BELOW this one HUGE and most important trait he has: the daring desire to do SOMETHING no matter what. This is inherently a Gryffindor trait. Izuku cannot stand still and do nothing, it will legit drive him crazy. It’s what he values the most that matters. Even with his wit and analytic skills, his raw desire to act is very much his core trait and that’s Gryffindor right there.
KEEP READING TO SEE THE ANALYSIS OF EVERY TRAIT PLEASE
WHY BAKUGOU IS A SLYTHERIN
OK so I’m going to explain every trait in detail:
·         Ambition: I think this one’s pretty self-explanatory. Katsuki aims to the moon. His ambition is pretty much fixed on a single goal and that is being number 1. His drive to succeed and be number one is also aligned with the fact that he has such high expectations of himself and wants to meet those expectations. I believe that his ambition comes from a place of self-completion. He wants to prove to himself and others SO BADLY that his skills and his quirk ARE worthy of him. He wants to surpass AM cause he’s the epitome of greatness, he knows that with a great quirk he has SHOES to fill.
·         Competitiveness: Again, another one I don’t have to explain, this is also a trait they share with Gryffindors. He competes with Deku in an idealistic kind of sense. Not that Katsuki is an idealistic, he’s not. THAT’s why he can’t stand Deku at first cause he challenged his very image of what he’s supposed to be. His competitiveness comes to a drive to want to prove others that what he believes is the only way to be number 1. He also competes with himself, by constantly pushing himself to be better. Taking into account all his flaws and other people’s flaws to up himself.
·         Determination, this is too a Gryffindor trait, but I still believe that a lot of houses have similar traits cause we’re still people and we can have many traits from all the houses. He IS determined as he is ambitious.
·         Self-preservation: This one’s important, I do think Katsuki takes very good care of himself, he wants to be the best he can be, so he worked on himself a lot. Self-preservation also includes insuring survival when he is in a dire situation, he’s quick to act on his natural instincts.
·         Shrewdness: Yes, Katsuki is very aware of his surroundings and has exceptional judgment in practical matters and he’s very observant, that’s what helps him win most of his battles, he’s hardheaded and uses cleverness to discern situations.
·         Exclusive about who they let close and selective/Protective of their own: This one is just starting to show since we’ve seen it protect his own in his recent battles. Also, when he fought along with Kami and Kiri in the license exam. I believe that Katsuki definitely is self-preserved but when he finds people, he tolerates he would stick to them.
·         Not very idealistic: even if Katsuki shoots for the moon, he’s not a dreamer. He is very realistic and knows his boundaries, he isn’t like Deku in this aspect. He knows what he’s capable and doesn’t go searching for something he knows he can’t do.
·         Resourcefulness and Knowledge to put into use: This one is VERY MUCH IT. Katsuki’s way of fighting and thinking is this. THIS trait I would say is the most defining of Katsuki. He puts all his knowledge of EVERYTHING into use. Everything he learns he use it to develop himself and grow stronger. He is resourceful with everything. That’s why he’s so close to number 1.
·         Cocky/Borderline narcissistic personalities: he has humbled himself a bit, but he is DEFFINITELY proud of himself. He knows what ‘s going on for him, specially on his quirk that’s why his expectations for himself are so high.
·         Get shit done: Slytherins want to get results. Katsuki is definitely not patient. He wants to get shit done as fast and efficient as possible.
·         End justify the means/ Goalgetter/drive to win/ born winners: Also, a Slytherin trait that he has cause since he wants to reach his goal, he (at least at first) would do anything to get to that end. And since he’s not very idealistic, he knows he can and WILL do.
·         Leadership and taking charge in a group: this one also is a Gryffindor trait they share. But we’ve definitely seen this in Katsuki, he is a leader group, people do follow him, he didn’t know how to work a in a group but now we can definitely see that now. Slytherins ARE group oriented and take care of their own, even though they do seek for personal greatness like Gryffindors.
·         Fashion sense: I know this one can be superficial but... Slytherins appreciate sharpness and aesthetic. This is not NECESSARILY a Katsuki trait, but I would take into account the official art on his casual clothes like… this boy KNOWS what he’s wearing.
Few Gryffindor traits he has tho 😊
-Determination (above)
-Individualistic
-Persistence
-Desire to prove to prove himself and others
-Impatience
-Remembered from their great deeds.
ALSO I wouldn’t put him in Gryffindor cause Katsuki DOESN’T charge before thinking (unless he’s being really unreasonable which hasn’t happened since SEASON 1) I’ll explain all this in the Deku section. He’s NOT idealistic (above), he’s not really interested in being trusted but followed. He’s not so keen on friendship (not yet) and jump first to defend their friends, which is DIFFERENT from being protective. Also, he’s not the “hero” stereotype. His desire for glory has different bases from what normally Gryffindors are known for. It’s more like self-fulfillment than seeking approval from others.
WHY DEKU IS A GRYFFINDOR
·         Bravery: I think I need to explain this one right of the bat cause people thing that being brave is not really a trait, but I think it’s more like fearless. Taking risks. Which he did… in chapter freaking 1. That gut feeling to save Kacchan, THE most unaccountable risk, he HAD to do it. THAT’S his defining moment. That’s what changed EVERYTHING. He acts on instinct. Those are all Gryffindor.
·         Daring: DISPITE his wits and his analytical skills (which are not inherently Ravenclaw), his raw instinct to ACT is what sets him apart from the rest. THAT’S what makes people look at him, not his wits but they way he uses them to reach his own goal. He’s a secret badass tbh… He can take down ass when pushed and he will fight to win when that happens. His instincts are to save but when you push him he’s capable of MURDERRRRASCHNASO
·         Passion and Persistence: Yes, Gryffindors are passionate as HELL. He’s very passionate not only to reach his goals but also in what he likes. We call him a nerd but his PASSION for what he loves is what makes him want to pursue things (like All Might).
He’s ambitious YES. That’s a Slytherin trait he does have but that trait is not ONLY Slytherin. Also, they HUGE difference he has with Slytherin is that Slytherins really think before they act. Deku doesn’t. YES he analyses his situation very well and that’s AMAZING BUT. He acts mostly on instinct, like All Might tells him.
Deku’s ambition comes from a place of borderline crazy ambitions of a LUNATIC. Like breaking himself? My boy… A Slytherin would never do that unless it’s ABSOLUTELY necessary, they would think of every option, every angle FIRST like Katsuki. But Deku just think that’s the ONLY option and IMMEDIATELY jumps to that first instinct and does it without thinking too much of the consequences. Granted this was AT FIRST, he IS getting A LOT better in this aspect and THAT’s where his development is at now. THAT’S one of the biggest differences between these two.
·         Individualistic and independent: Ok I’m gonna take my sweet time with this one. This one drives me crazy cause some people do not see that Deku is SO INDEPENDENT. He’s been alone most of his life and yes, he loves his friends and family, but he does his things his OWN WAY. He beats to his own drum. He looks for self-fulfillment and self-improvement. But he helps people in his own way. THAT’S HIS CORE. Like when he fought Kacchan and Todoroki, he refused to follow the norms. He saved them his OWN way even when people told him he was crazy.
He leads by example, he’s not very group oriented, granted WORKING IN GROUP DOESN’T MAKE YOU ANY LESS INDEPENDENT. He KNOWS how to work as a group, and he knows how to adapt to environments BUT he does it when he NEEDS to. He will still do fine on his own. He has MANY times.
He wants to save others OF COURSE, he wants to make everyone smile, but he DOES NOT conform. People tell him over and over but he doesn’t listen, WE HAVE SEEN THIS IN CANON. He’s NOT part of the crowd, he stands out for his individualistic nature, he LOVES being welcome don’t get me wrong, he LOVES being with people and his friends but at the end of the day he will do things his own way. He’s not willing to conform, he’s not like every hero out there. He has his OWN goals and All Might saw that. THAT’S why he chose him. But he cares for having the approval of people, SPECIALLY ALL MIGHT and Kacchan. He seeks to prove himself to himself and to others mostly. Which bring me to…
·         Care deeply about people/ The first to defend their friends/ Want to be trusted: Like Hufflepuffs, Gryffindors are very social and love to be around people, they also care deeply for their friends. This is also a Hufflepuff trait that Deku def has. BUT. BUT… As I stated before.. Deku is VERY independent and individualistic… He has responsibilities… one’s that sadly his closest friends don’t even KNOW about. He keeps a LOT to himself. He’s loyal YES. He cares for them and will defend them ALWAYS (like he did with Kacchan when Monoma insulted him) He’s fiercely loyal to him specially… But he still does what he wants more than what needs to be done. Which ALSO drives Katsuki crazy. I’d say that Deku is selfish in this aspect sometimes.  He doesn’t NEED his friends to sustain himself he’s pretty self-sufficient actually. He has been most of his life.
I know this one hurts a little but… He almost never cares about the people he leaves behind. He’s so self-sacrificial like that. Like what happened with his mom. And Kacchan… like 3 times?? Let’s be honest here, Deku’s ideals and his drive to do what’s right overweighs the care he has for himself and his friends…
·         Justice greater than loyalty: Again, as stated above… one of the mayor differences between his Gryffindor loyalty and Hufflepuff loyalty. Deku IS loyal but to a fault, his loyalty is to his ideals most of the time. He will not hesitate to bring justice over loyalty, like what happened with Nighteye. He was told to do as he was told and to wait, but at the end of the day, the NEED to bring Overhaul to justice overcame that loyalty he has to his superiors and what people tell him to do.
·         Stubbornness: As I said above… Deku doesn’t listen. He IS getting better at that but you can’t tell him off of reaching his goals. He WILL do what he wants if it means doing the most good for himself now AND for others. Honestly people don’t really give Deku enough credit on how stubborn he can be… he’s very open-minded yes cause he wants to learn everything he can but, he’s VERY idealistic. Which brings me to…
·         Idealistic/Having beliefs and standing up for those beliefs: Yes, Gryffindors can dream too much tbh… Deku in chapter 1 was shooting for the moon but he didn’t have the means, but he kept believing anyway. Katsuki particularly hated this cause he’s a REALISTIC. He KNOWS how the world works. That’s why Deku wanted to believe so hard that he can still be a hero against all odds and his world came crushing down when AM told him otherwise.
·         Acting out/Leap before they look/Recklessness: I think this one’s also a bit obvious… His instincts make him jump into action ALWAYS. He CANNOT stay still and do nothing which brings me to:
·         Physical discomfort doesn’t bother them: yeah… he’s pretty self-destructive… he’s working on it. Another thing he bears to reach his goal.
·         Impatient / Hates boredom: Deku always need to do something. Specially with such a big responsibility on his shoulders now. He hates not doing anything specially when action calls. That’s why when he let Eri go the first time he was OVERWHELMED, he hated standing still. Like Hufflepuffs he’s VERY tolerant but UNLIKE Hufflepuffs, people confuse tolerance with patience and Deku is def impatient and WAY too much excitable.
His Ravenclaw side (not much tbh)
Unlike Ravenclaws, Deku they doesn’t seek out knowledge for knowledge’s sake (maybe a little at first but now he’s REALLY putting it to use) BUT NOW if he learns something, it’s going to be something that enables him to better himself TO SAVE OTHERS, and if he want to learn something, it’s going to be something that allows them to pursue his goal - ways to get stronger and faster TO SAVE people.
As stated WAAYY ABOVE, being analytical and having observations skills are not inherently Ravenclaw (Slytherins have them too), but Deku puts them into USE. Now more than ever because he HAS A PLACE to put them into use. Also, I need to point out that he changed DRASTICALLY after he met AM in Ch 1… His self before that WAS seeking knowledge for knowledge’s sake cause he loved taking notes of heroes BUT that was BECAUSE he wanted to become a hero himself someday, he wanted to put them into use. Also like I said before, he’s very passionate so of course he would try to get himself into ANYTHING he’s interested in.
Also, another trait he definitely doesn’t have on Ravenclaw is… thinking outside the box… he’s not very good at coming up with new things. He uses what he’s learned in a practical sense, but he doesn’t INVENT anything. He’s not as OUT there as people paint him out to be cause you have to understand where those tricks come from… from SOMETHING ELSE, or someone else, not him. Hell, it even took him A LOT of time to figure out Shoot Style cause he was so determined to follow AM and not seeking out ANOTHER way to do something original… my baby…. Another flaw that DOESN’T MAKE HIM STUPID BTW I WILL FIGHT YOU I YOU CALL HIM STUPID. It’s just a CHARACTER flaw, rooted DEEPLY in who he is and how he sees the world but literally EVERYTHING I already wrote above.
Ok now Hufflepuff… (disclaimer: I ADORE Hufflepuff this is just an analysis on why Deku is not a Hufflepuff, any comparisons are NOT to downplay the house or other characters in it)
Why I DEEPLY think he doesn’t belong in Hufflepuff is mostly cause Deku is REALLY NOT a rule follower, he doesn’t COMFORM like Iida or Kaminari… He’s hardworking HELL YES HE IS, but that’s cause he’s determined and persistent to reach his goal but PLEASE don’t forget his CORE. Working hard is a MEANS to his goal, that’s not what comes first in his heart. He works hard BECAUSE his goal is being is being number 1 and he kinda HAS to now?? Before he got his quirk he pretty much stalled most of the time and nerded out and dreamt BIG. He didn’t actually WORKED to be a hero. Which is what people use as an excuse to hate on him… He mostly didn’t do much TO BECOME a hero. If he was a Hufflepuff, he would’ve worked WITHIN the system. He would’ve become a cop, he would’ve found other ways that included actually following the rules and CONFORMING to the norms, but he didn’t. Deku doesn’t conform. He does his things his own way, which is another interesting flaw AND a Gryffindor trait.
Don’t confuse hard work with determination. Determination is not a Hufflepuff trait.  'Not willing to back down' is not a Hufflepuff trait. Being friendly is also not an only Hufflepuff trait. Gryffindors and Hufflepuffs actually are the most extroverted and friendly houses so I understand why these two are mixed. They BOTH are friendly and welcoming but Deku definitely has more Gryffindor traits that Hufflepuff.
Deku avoided confrontations at first but he still fought. He ALWAYS fought for what he stood for and now more than ever that he CAN. He’s very respectful but that doesn’t mean he will not accept a fight when it’s in front of him i.e. Kacchan. ALSO, super important to take into account, if he needs to use deception he will.  He has A LOT of times.
Also Hufflepuffs tend to be suspicious of the extraordinary, like Iida or Kaminari or Ojiro, Deku on the other hand is enthusiastic and doesn’t avoid danger. He’s flashy and risky. He will NOT avoid confrontations if it means miscarriage of justice too.
And finally, compassion… compassion is not something that puts you in Hufflepuff. Everyone has compassion and Gryffindors def has it too. So yeah..

Todoroki’s Relationships Analysis Part 7: Chapter 169-now. Culture Fest, Pro Hero, JTA, MLA & Winter Internship arcs.
(SPOILERS TO NOW)
Culture Festival Arc
The new, party person post retake arc Shoto
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Shoto’s retake course has helped to change his perspective on things a little, and understand the value of fun a little bit more (which is what this arc is all about)
Tumblr media
He remains critical towards Bakugou here, though Katsuki definitely starts it.
Tumblr media
Or more accurately, the rest of the school starts it by acting like Class A asked to get attacked by crazy supervillains. Bakugou initially in this scene seems like he’s being a jerk, but he’s actually having one of his moments of kindness and empathy, as he defends his classmates from the rest of the school, and Shoto stops criticizing him once that lands.
Tumblr media
Shoto spends most of the CF arc hanging around twith this group, whom he mostly gets along with on the level of fairly normal friendship, so there isn’t much to say about these scenes.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We see Shoto to be the most concerned classmate about Deku’s wellbeing, probably because he’s learned by this point that an unavailable Midoriya probably means he’s breaking his body in two.
Tumblr media
He watches Izuku getting scolded by the teachers.
Tumblr media
And hangs out with Iida during the Culture Fest event itself. (Iida is the universal bro)
Culture Fest Shoto is still fairly quiet, but much more sociable than before. He suggests throwing a big party for the school, which should probably tell you that he’s a very different kid from the start of the year.
Pro Hero Arc
This arc is mostly about Shoto’s relationship with his dad, though we get a quick glimpse of his classmates looking after him when the fight plays on TV.
Tumblr media
Four classmates are specifically watching Shoto. Now, while Kiri and Shoto do have a friendship, Kiri is generally the “glue that holds the class together”, so essentially, he was written to be the kid who always looks after his teammates. The other 3 are Shoto’s 3 main ships: Bakugou, Deku, and Momo.
Tumblr media
Though just about everyone comes over to him afterwards.
Tumblr media
Included because how can you not.
joint Training Arc
Tumblr media
Sero and Shoto sure have come a long way since “nice try” huh? And yes, Earlyroki is the phrase I want to use too.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Shoto is focused on watching Yaoyorozu’s fight.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
He showcases some understanding of Momo’s tactical expertise and confidence in her ability to win. He believes that only a total assault on her could have been sufficient to actually defeat Momo.
Tumblr media
He looks worried for Momo after she loses and states firmly that he “hopes she doesn’t get all discouraged again”, recalling her previous sadness and worrying for her in the future.
Tumblr media
We see a moment of Todoroki and Bakugou being on the same wavelength here, as following the above panel Shoto immediately does just that.
Tumblr media
Tetsutetsu pushes Todoroki to the point where he has to use way too much firepower. However, his team still loses/ties.
Tumblr media
He has a Deku-like moment and this triggers his actions in the next arc (tears at BabyTodo in the left hand panel.)
Tumblr media
This is his reaction to BlackWhip. He goes over to Deku after the JTA is over and after Deku’s training session with Bakugou and All Might and asks him directly, indicating he thinks Izuku has two powers.
Tumblr media
Clearly, Shoto felt a bit betrayed that Deku asked him to go all out but was apparently holding back himself. I wish we could’ve had Shoto’s thoughts while the whole thing was going on.
Tumblr media
He instantly believes Midoriya and doesn’t think to question this strange development. He compliments him as well, showing that Deku has joined Momo and Kacchan’s ranks as someone Shoto admires. Deku shoots right back at him.
Tumblr media
Shoto, having tied while Deku and Kacchan, his two Official Rivals, both won with a complete knockout, obviously feels like they’ve surpassed him. This is, basically, his equivalent (though less angsty) to Bakugou at the end of the PLE arc, feeling completely surpassed by everyone.
The Joint Training arc sees, to Shoto, his classmates surpassing him, and spurs him to decide and seek out Endeavor as a Utility. We see his admiration for Momo, Kacchan and Izuku on full display.
MLA Arc
Tumblr media
Newly minted Licensed heroes Todoroki and Bakugou are here to save the day Together!
Tumblr media
They’re referring to each other as “we” and working together to end the villains.
Tumblr media
Shoto’s showing concern for Kacchan, who as usual takes all concern for his wellbeing as an insult. (and as usual makes everything about Deku. Holy crap, was that really as powerful as the Sports Fest move?!?! They’ll have to bust out some sick animation for that).
Winter Internship Arc (up to present chapter, Chapter 250)
Tumblr media
So Todoroki and Kacchan work together well. Are they friends? What does Shoto think of their relationship? His self-definition is that they get along well.
Tumblr media
Todoroki apparently defines friendship as “spending a lot of time together”. Bakugou objects to this. Todoroki basically calmly insists that they get along anyway.
Tumblr media
Shoto’s motto of heroism here is that he wants “to put others at ease’. We’ve got his manifesto as to heroism laid out here.
Tumblr media
This is funny, yes, but also kinda heartbreaking. Shoto is incredibly awkward in his interview and doesn’t seem to understand that he’s being flirted with. It’s possible he doesn’t have much conception of what romance, flirtation and attraction even are. This is a facet I’d like to see explored more in shipping fics, actually, because any idea of Shoto as some smooth charmer with great flirting skills should be heavily dispelled by this instance.
Tumblr media
Although he’s talking about his dad here, the words could just as easily apply to Midoriya.
Tumblr media
Shoto instantly apologies to Katsuki, taking it as his fault that Bakugou was cut, because he’s not socially adept enough to get that Bakugou’s behavior is inappropriate. While one doesn’t have to, you could take Bakugou’s reply as him relieving Shoto of feeling guilty by telling him it wasn’t his fault. Just in Bakugou-speak.
Tumblr media
Deku’s 3 most popular ships watch him try and conquer his quirk. Or is this in his head?
Tumblr media
Some nervous solidarity between Shoto and Izuku, + bonus Jealous Bakugou.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
ChristmasTodo notices Bakugou feeling down.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And immediately offers him and Deku internship jobs with the #1. Shoto’s motives her deserve some consideration. He states later on that he sees Endeavor, as far as regards his career as a pro, in a utilitarian manner. He views him as a means to an end for success (outside of their past and family drama, obviously). So Shoto is, essentially, offering Deku and Kacchan the best possible internship opportunity he can, even though it involves asking his old man for a favor. That’s some serious supportive friendship power right there.
Tumblr media
Endeavor complains about having to teach all 3 but Shoto shuts him down quickly.
Tumblr media
He agrees with Bakugou that Endeavor’s dismissive attitude is not what they signed on for or what he promised Kacchan.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Todo and Kacchan are again on the same wavelength here and act like they both find Deku’s constant chatter annoying.
Tumblr media
In his big speech to Endeavor, he states that “competing with these guys” before correcting himself and trying to include the rest of his classmates in that estimation. But he ca’t take back that initial impulse. Deku and Kacchan are placed first in his estimation. They are the first ones he thinks of. And both, as well. It’s  very clear that Deku and Kacchan (Twin Stars of class A indeed) changed his life. Thinking about it too...he didn’t immediately use fire after his match with Deku. It wasn’t until he hurt Bakugou by holding back and lost hte match that he really started to change.
Tumblr media
“IN front of my friends”. Shoto again points out that he came her to use Endeavor, regardless of feelings. He insists on being treated the same as Deku and Kacchan, and tells Endeavor not to pretend to be dadlike to him in front of them. This impulse is interesting too. He doesn’t wish to present any kind of lie to these two.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Shoto pays a lot of attention to Kacchan and actually smiles when Bakugou calls Endeavor’s power a “rip-off” of Bakugou’s own explosion quirk. I guess he likes the chance to insult dear ol dad.
Tumblr media
When Deku and Kacchan are both in a bad mood, Shoto plays supportive cheerleader.
Tumblr media
He’s totally cool with the invitation.
Tumblr media
He shows again some understand of (and criticism of) Deku.
Tumblr media
This is where Todoroki comes to understand that Katsuki knows about his situation with Endeavor. Interestingly enough, while Deku is the one he told, he hasn’t shown any inclination to add more to that knowledge since the Sports Festival.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Deku shows some incredible understanding of Shoto’s mind here and supports his decision with Endeav either way. Shoto’s expression is astonished, as if he had never thought of his situation this way before.
Tumblr media
He immediately opens up to Deku and Kacchan about Toya with Fuyumi’s help; once again, both know Shoto’s backstory.
Tumblr media
He also reaches out to get the recipe from Fuyumi to give to Bakugou. Always the caring, considerate friend.
Tumblr media
Presumably she doesn’t thank Bakugou too because he keeps insisting he totally isn’t friends with Shoto. Shoto looks so adorably embarassed here.
Tumblr media
He’s solicited as a study buddy for Deku, and for now (until Friday) this is where we leave them. Jumping forward to save Natsuo.
So this retrospective on Todoroki’s relationships - Todoroki’s relationships only, from his POV alone - was interesting. And very informative, as it changed my perspective on Shoto’s character dynamics a lot. I hope you enjoyed, and let me know if there are any other characters you want me to do a Relationships retrospective on in the future.

izuku midoriya’s image of victory
Tumblr media
As someone who has looked up to All Might since he was a child, it’s odd that while Deku saw him as someone who always saves people with a smile, the number one hero in Japan is not also his embodiment of triumph. All Might did plenty of both winning and rescuing in his heroic career, so why does the latter title—Midoriya’s image of victory—instead go to Katsuki Bakugou?
Below the cut are some ramblings about why that may be.
It’s important to note that Deku admires Bakugou for the same reasons that Bakugou admires All Might. Just as Bakugou praised All Might for winning his battles despite any obstacles that might’ve been thrown at him, Deku holds Bakugou’s determination to rise triumphant from any challenge in extremely high regard. To Deku, All Might’s defining trait is that he saves people. Katsuki’s defining trait is that he wins.
And, in some cases, his determination to emerge victorious surpasses All Might’s.
Let’s take a look at the final exams arc, and in particular, the climactic moment in which Midoriya punches All Might in order to bring Bakugou to safety.
Tumblr media
Deku manages to catch All Might off-guard with a punch at 5% of his power. This results in Deku having just enough time to carry Bakugou away from him and past the threshold. While obviously this would not have led to a victory if it had not been an exam, All Might, in this scenario, lost.
Tumblr media
Now fast-forward to Deku vs. Kacchan 2. The climax of their fight is when Deku catches Bakugou off-guard with a punch at 5% of his power. Katsuki, although hit with the exact same type of punch that gave Deku the upper-hand against All Might, still manages to win.
Obviously I’m not trying to argue that Bakugou is more competent than All Might in battle. He still lacks the experience and raw power that All Might has in spades, and All Might did have a self-imposed handicap that prevented him from fighting at full strength during final exams. I just think that this is an interesting parallel between two very significant fights that demonstrates why Izuku looks at Katsuki as the embodiment of victory.
Bakugou’s resolve to win has always been incredibly strong, even from the time they were children, and Deku has consistently been there to watch him. I absolutely love that Horikoshi has frequently referred to Bakugou’s desire to be victorious (i.e. during final exams and the Kamino arc) before the term “image of victory” was even coined, because it lets us, the readers, easily accept it. It’s already been established that Bakugou is someone who wins, just as it’s been established that All Might is someone who saves people. And, just as All Might inspires Deku, Katsuki does as well.
Tumblr media
To have Bakugou be the other person that Deku looks up to as a heroic ideal—particularly in representing victory—is such a good narrative decision, because this sets a tangible goal for Deku to surpass. There isn’t a surefire way to tell when Midoriya will become as great of a hero as All Might, but to have a peer to compete against gives him (and us) a metric of his progress. To beat Kacchan will be to meet a goal he’s been striving towards for a long time: to be on equal footing with one of the people he admires the most.
Tumblr media
Feel free to add on to this/argue any of my claims! I tried to make this as unbiased as I can get but a.) I wrote this at 3 in the morning and my brain is mush and b.) even when i don’t have my shipping lenses on i adore the dynamic between these two so obviously i’m gonna write things that i personally find intriguing about their relationship
also note that some of these caps are FA because I couldn’t find the mangastream versions online, but I double checked with my viz copies to make sure that the translations aren’t grossly inaccurate.
Thank you guys for reading! If you ever want me to do some analysis feel free to ask (although I’m kinda new at meta-esque things but i’m trying my best!!!)

@cecldcecld first of all, I apologize that this reply ended up being so long that I had to turn it into its own post. there were just a lot of things I wanted to say, and the whole thing kind of ballooned out of control somewhat.
anyway, I’m not too concerned with Deku’s growth in this arc myself, but let me explain my thoughts on this.
first off, 20% is still pretty much a last resort thing for Deku right now. he can hold it for a little while, but it’s excruciatingly painful and he can’t keep it up for long.
second, unless the series goes on indefinitely, he has to get stronger at some point. Horikoshi has said that he doesn’t have the stamina for the series to be as long as One Piece (currently 933 chapters and counting). so let’s suppose that it ends up being 800 chapters (which is still much longer than he probably wants it to be lol). that would mean that as of chapter 155, the series was just shy of being 20% complete. so it makes sense for Deku to be able to use 20% of OFA, if you think of it that way. he needs to be able to use 100% by the time the series ends, so they can’t drag it out forever.
I think Bakugou could still take Deku at 20%. he was able to beat 8% Deku fairly easily (only thrown off by that punch at the end), and he’s also shown himself capable of reading Deku’s moves, which as we see in this fight is still Deku’s biggest weakness. call me crazy but I think he’s still got this.
Bakugou himself is not at the peak of his growth yet. he’s going to keep getting stronger too. for that matter, I think we’ve yet to see what he’s currently capable of. if you think about it for a sec, with the exception of the exam battle against All Might (and that was friggin’ All Might), he has yet to be seriously injured in a fight, let alone defeated. he held his own against six villains at once in the Kamino arc and made it out unscathed. he proved to be a match for Todoroki’s ice power, although he hasn’t yet been tested against Full ASOIAF Todoroki (not for lack of trying though). he beat 8% Deku easily enough, as previously stated. in fact, he consistently finds himself in situations where he needs to hold back and can’t use his full power so as to avoid collateral damage. Horikoshi has been very careful not to reveal his full hand here. I think if Bakugou ever were to find himself in a situation where he had to go all out, his power would be on a level we haven’t come close to seeing up till now.
I don’t think Deku is ever going to fully surpass Bakugou. just like I don’t think Bakugou is going to surpass Deku. the series continually hints at the two of them working together to become the new Greatest Hero. it’s a whole “together they’re more than the sum of their parts” type of thing. Deku of course is The Main Character and All Might’s successor, and the one who will eventually defeat All for One, but he won’t do that alone. Bakugou is the future Symbol of Victory, and so he’s not going to lose that easily.
that being said, if Deku ever does unequivocally surpass him, I don’t think that’s a “poor Bakugou” situation. if that ever does happen, then good for Deku. he deserves it. he’ll have earned it. Bakugou, as we all know, is not the type to want victory to just be handed to him. if the ones he’s competing with aren’t at their full strength, then there’s no point. and Deku is All Might’s successor, so as much as the two of them have their rivalry thing going on, there’s part of Bakugou that still feels responsible for what happened to All Might, and that part of him wants Deku to succeed. and we are of course still working on him fully grasping the idea that one person’s success doesn’t automatically equal everyone else’s failure. he and Deku can both succeed. he doesn’t have to fear Deku’s growth. they can both fulfill their hero dreams. eventually he will figure that out. and that will actually make him stronger than ever, being able to let go of that fear. once he finally learns to put that aside, the sky’s pretty much gonna be the limit for him.
anyway! once again I apologize for responding to your short comment with this whole big thing. ;; but basically the short version is that as a Bakugou fan, I see Deku’s growth as a good thing, because the two of them are supposed to push each other! if Deku gets stronger, Kacchan gets stronger, and vice-versa. so it’s good! I am on Team Let Deku Be A Badass lol. he’s my boy too and I love him.

chapter two is up! i needed to get this out today because tomorrow i’ll be at the dmv for who knows how long and i don’t want to take any chances posting it late. i hope y’all enjoy!
below the cut is a little preview
Izuku shuffles around where he sits at his desk, restless energy filling him. It’s been three days since his encounter with Katsuki behind the funeral home, and he feels as though he’s been running on borrowed time until he’s eventually cornered and shaken down for an explanation of what happened. If he’s lucky, he’ll continue to ride that time for the rest of his life. Luck, however, never seems to agree with him.
“You’re all third years now. It’s time to start thinking seriously about your futures.” Izuku’s professor addresses the class, a bone deep tiredness that only an underpaid educator can feel pulling at his strained smile and stretching it thin. “I would hand out these future career forms, but I assume you all want to be heroes!”
Izuku hides his face from the class as they hoot and holler when his professor tosses the papers into the air. A girl with a flamethrower for an arm in the row next to him incinerates most of them in an instant.
“Yes, yes, you all have wonderful quirks, but it’s against the rules to use them in school.” The professor address, speech intended for the class as a whole but his gaze singles a few people out in particular.
“Sensei! Don’t lump me in with these losers!” Katsuki yells, legs sprawled out atop his desk and arms resting behind his head. He looks almost reminiscent of a king amongst servants. “As if I had anything like their shitty quirks.”
Izuku flinches at the sudden spike in volume from the class as they shout back in defence. He hides his face in his hands, hoping for time to pass fast. It's not unusual for Katsuki to make a scene in class, especially when someone (namely Izuku) ends up scoring better than him on something, but Izuku was never one for loud noises.
Katsuki doesn’t miss a beat in shutting the class down once more. “Shut up! Extras should act like extras!”
“Ah, Bakugou. You must be aiming for Yuuei High.” The professor reads off his clipboard, effectively quieting the class to murmurs of cut off scores and acceptance rates. The lull, however, doesn’t deter Katsuki from his rampage.
“Stupid chattering of extras.” He mutters under his breath, hopping on top of his desk with a smirk. “I aced the mock exam! I’m the only one here with the stuff for Yuuei! I’ll even surpass All Might and become the best hero out there!”
Izuku looks towards the clock on the wall, willing it to move faster and silently begging nobody draws Katsuki’s attention to himself.
“Oh. You’re also going for Yuuei, aren’t you Midoriya?”
Damn it all.
The scattered chatter of the class halts in an instant, leaving a viscous silence in its wake as if the tips of daggers have all pointed his way. Izuku glances at Katsuki and quickly looks down when he finds the other nearly devoid of all color in pure, unadulterated anger. The class bursts into laughter, and Midoriya lets out a tiny sigh of relief. He’d much prefer they laugh at him than stare at him like he was an animal trapped in a cage.
“Come on, Deku!” Katsuki growls, slapping his hand down on Izuku’s desk with an explosion that sends Izuku backwards in his chair out of shock. “Forget the shit quirks-- you’re totally quirkless. You think you can rub shoulders with me?”
“W-Wait, K-Kacchan! I wasn’t saying I could compete with you!” Izuku stammers, scrambling back further until his back smacks the wall. “It’s just been my dream since I was little and...well, there’s no harm in trying--”
Katsuki lets off a few more explosions in both palms as he looms over Izuku. “Try? Try what? The entrance exam? You’re taking the exam just to try? What can you even do?”

Why Aren’t You Scared of Me? Chapter 1
rSummary: While everyone prepares for the exam, Esther watches her friends hard-work while doing her own. The day of the exam surprises everyone. Class 1A stuff happens too.
Disclaimer: All warnings and all the info you need to know is on my Masterlist which can be found in my description. Also I write these chapters between 12am-5am so the writing is shit.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Esther was walking with her big brothers when she heard some grunting near the beach. She paused her walking and turned her body to see Izuku cleaning the beach.
“He is doing well Toshi,” Esther said as All Might walked up from behind her. “You don’t need to worry about his abilties and you know this.” She turned to stare at her best friend.
“I am not-” Toshinori Yagi sighed. “Fine. You know why I am worried, you don’t need to look into my head to see why I am scared.”
Esther hummed as she looked back at Izuku. She snapped her fingers as her cloak’s hood dissappeared. She jumped down in front of Izuku, scaring him. “B-Bunny! W-what are you doing here?” He looked everywhere except at her.
“You know, you can make this so much easier on yourself if you want his quirk,” Esther said bluntly.
Izuku choked at that, “H-how?” He looked behind her to see Yagi shake his head and chuckle.
“Esther is an old friend. I have known her since she was 4,” Yagi said. By then, Esther’s brothers already have left.
“H-Huh?! Why didn’t you tell me? That explains so much...” Izuku went back to his muttering until he was smacked in the back of the head by his friend. “Bunny...”
“I have to leave as Kacchan needs someone who can actually attack him. I would stay longer but my own quirks need help.” Esther muttered the last part to herself as she walked away after hugging Izuku and waving at the pair.
“W-what just happened?” Izuku muttered as he sweat-dropped.
-
“You are doing it wrong,” Katsuki jumped at the sound behind him.
“HOW THE HELL DID YOU GET INTO MY HOUSE?!” Katsuki screamed.
“Your mother let me in and can you stop screaming. Izuku already gave me a headache,” Esther mumbled as she tried to rub the headache out of her forehead.
“You went to see him before me?!” Katsuki growled.
Esther shrugged. “It was on the way. He was, like, training on the beach or some shit...” Esther yawned and faceplanted onto Katsuki’s bed. “I’m tired.”
“We have like a week until the exams and your tired?! We haven’t even started fighting yet!”
Esther lifted her head to glare at Katsuki and mumbled something before lifting herself up. “Fucking fine then you asshole. Let’s go to my house and use that field.” Katsuki flushed at the though of going to her house with no one there. The only thing Katsuki knew of her family was- nothing really.
“Nevermind. I think at least half of my brothers are home and they might murder you if they see you.” Katsuki sweat-dropped.
-
All-in-all, Esther didn’t train for shit. She just slept in the entire summer and didn’t train at all.
“You sure you are ready?” Apollo, the greek god of sun and some other things, asked his younger sister.
“You have your jacket right? I don’t want guys to look at you with what you are wearing,” Kronos, Titan of Time, said bluntly.
Esther wore a black training bra and black short-shorts. Her jacket was more like a cape that landed at her feet where her knee black boots were. It had a hood on it as well. (It looks like this , It’s also her hero costume as well as her training outfit)
Esther rolled her eyes. “Bye guys.”
-
Esther walked up to the school and say Izuku trip and blush at a girl. It was true that he blushed at talking to any girl, even Esther whom he have known since they were 5.
Katsuki appeared next to her as he glared at everyone which was normal.
Shit. What if I don’t get in? People are gonna be disapointed in me, even that old hag.
Esther grabbed Katsuki’s hand and rubbed his hand, which made him jump and look down at the small girl. “It will be fine. You will be the Number 1 Hero and you will surpass All Might.” Esther looked up at Katsuki with a closed eye smiled which made him look the other way with tinted cheeks.
“Ya. I know.”
“Kacchan. You don’t know what my quirk is but the one think is I can tell when you lie. I’ll be more honest with you I promise.” Esther said as they walked into the auditiorm. Esther sat right next to Katsuki as they listen to the test.
Some guy asks a question and then says something and Izuku’s muttering making Esther perk up.
“Well, Mr. Stick up your ass, maybe if you took your stick out you might see that he is nervous,” Esther mumbles making Katsuki snort and try to clear that up with a cough.
-
Esther stands at the mock arena. She goes to Izuku, who seems to be in the same one as her but see that boy again. Esther snaps her fingers making her appear in between the two boys.
“Hello again, Mr. Stick up your ass. I don’t think picking out others flaws is the best hero flaw,” Esther hissed. The dude was shocked. “Maybe you see someone’s actions before nitpicking everything. You fucking remind me of my late mother and that isn’t a good thing.”
Esther turns her back to the male who seemed speechless. “Are you alright Broccoli?”
“Oh! Bunny? I didn’t know you were also competing?” Izuku had an obvious blush on his face from his best friend’s outfit.
A strong START!! Is sounded as Esther waves at Izuku before letting her wings appear.
Tumblr media
As the other participants look at awe at the wings, she lifts off and flies into the arena and slams down making the arena have a dark black fog appear that seemed to slow the robots as well as other as she goes into the fog after winking at the participats.
-
The fog cleared after a half hour as Esther wasn’t that mean. She already had the most points. She knew this as Toshi told her to stop before no one had any robots to fight. So instead of fighting robots, she sat on a building with her wings lying behind her. She kept her eyes on her best friend before she saw a girl who she remembered was the gravity girl. Izuku ran at the 0 pointer.
“Red!” Esther’s eyes flash red as her dragon-like wings erupt from her back. She caught Izuku and laid him down on the ground. The gravity girl looked hurt.
“Hell Raiser!” Fire everywhere made the robots crimple in the fire as Red as well as Esther’s anger burned through the arena. She crept towards the female and sat in front of her and wrapped her arms around her, making her black blood seep into the female’s skin and cure her of her cuts and burns.
Red left as she finished fixing the female. The female woke up a little to see Esther eyes change from blood red to their normal icy blue before she fell as well as Esther, who cushioned the fall.
-
Esther walked into UA and slid open the door to class 1A. It wasn’t a surprise that she got a bunch of points as she saved many people as well as destroyed a bunch of robots. She say that Katsuki got second while Izuku also got in, thanks to her as well as the Gravity girl.
She took notice of the young female as well as that dick who were talking to Izuku. Esther hummed as she walked past them and slumped onto the desk in front of Katsuki and slammed her head onto her desk.
She could hear the gruff voice of Aiwaza as he said something. Esther lifted her head from her desk when she felt multiple eyes on her.
She yawned as she got up from her desk and rubbed the fogginess from her eyes. She heard a much of muttering as she got a PE uniform and walked to the female lockers.
“Hey! You got first didn’t you?” A pink colored alien person looked at Esther as she took off her shirt. “I’m Mina Ashido! I saw that you saved two people at once! What is your quirk? Do you have two?” Mina kept talking as Esther half-listened.
The girl that Esther deemed Gravity female up until this point tapped Esther on the shoulder as she put on her PE Shirt. “I want to thank you! I already thanked Midoriya but I never had the chance to thank you! Whatever you gave me helped a lot!”
“It’s called Black Blood...” Esther mumbled as she put on her shoes.
“H-Huh?!” MIna said. “What kind of name is that?”
Esther stood up and left the locker room to go to the field.
-
“Since Esther got first with more points than anyone has ever gotten since forever, she shall show us what to do,” Aizawa said as gave her a ball. “How much did you get in middle school?”
“I have no clue. Maybe like 50 meters I guess?” She said.
“Try now with your quirk,” Esther shrugged as she grabbed it. She turned to look at Aizawa to learn which quirk. “Either one is fine. Just don’t make Red scare everyone.”
The class were confused until Esther looked at the field and closed her eyes. She opened them again for them to be Red. She kissed the ball and then threw it.
The ball flew up until no one could see it. Esther lifted her hand as the ball came back down. Her eyes were still closed as the ball that was erupting into fire landed into her hand. Aiwaza turned the thing around to show In One thousand meters. Esther opened her eyes to show they were red with a smirk before she blinked and they turned back to blue.
“That is so cool!” Rookie mistake from a classmate.
“The person who gets last will get expelled.” Aiwaza said.
That might be the biggest lie I have ever heard.
Aizawa turned to Esther after she said that.
-
Test 1: 50 Meter Dash
Esther watched as everyone ran. She yawned as she watched everyone run. People were scared of her, she thought to herself. The actually reason no one was talking to her was that she just was so... her. Like she looked like a hero.
“Eijiro Kirishima vs Esther Osoro” Esther walked over to the line as she looked at the red head.
“You look like Red Riot. Is that a thing?” Esther said spooking Eijiro.
“H-how did you know?” Esther shrugged.
“Your thoughts are too loud.” Esther stated as the start was said.
Esther winked before her white wings appeared on her back, ripping her school uniform. The class was in awe of the beautiful sight. Esther knew she could just teleport but she also knew that she would get under 1 sec and that would not be very fair. She landed at 2.01 seconds. Faster than the engine asshole.
Esther felt multiple gazes on her wings as they folded back into her back, letting people see the scars that litter Esther’s body, some new and some old.
-
Test 2: Grip Strength
Esther didn’t know what the fuck she was doing. She gripped the thing and got a few kilograms. She shrugged before going to the next test.
-
Test 3: Standing Long Jump
You can guess.
-
Test 4: Repeated Side Step
“What the hell? Are you shitting me?” Esther mumbled as she watched a guy in the between of two grapes go back and forth.
Esther stood there glaring at the ground before she just used her main quirk, fear, to create a kangaroo to do the jumping for her while she slept in the pocket of it.
“How is she already tired?!” She heard them exclaim.
-
Test 5: Ball Throw
Since she and Katsuki already did it (He did it as an example after her), Esther stood next to Katsuki as they watched people throw the ball.
“If Midoriya continues like this, he will get expelled.” The Mr. Stick up my ass said.
“He is quirkless, he can’t do shit!” Katsuki countered. Esther placed a hand on Katsuki’s shoulder.
“Kacchan, we both know that isn’t true,” Esther responded as Katsuki calmed down right when she put her hand on his shoulder.
Aizawa used his quirk and said something. “Shouta, Isn’t that a bit mean to question someone like that?” Esther said when Aizawa put Izuku down.
Aizawa shurgged as he walked back. “I gave your quirk back.”
Izuku used his quirk as Esther looked over at Yagi at the edge of the building. Esther winked at her best friend as well as parent figure and she turned back around to see everyone talking about Izuku’s quirk.
-
Katsuki is held back by Aiwaza’s scarf.
“What the fuck?” Esther said. “Why are you fighting again?”
“This happens everyday?” The gravity girl says. “How do you know?”
“Well, I have known them since I was 5 so I guess you could say that they are childhood friends,” Esther says, turning to the girl. “What is your name?”
“Oh! I am Ochaco Uraraka!” Ochaco says with a smile.
“Can I call you Ura? I am not good with names...” Esther mumbled as she dropped her head.
She heard a bunch of awes. Esther looked like a bunny, note the nickname bunny that Izuku calls her.
“Ya, you can!” Esther lifted her head and sent a smile her way. First time she smiled and she already has the whole class’ hearts.
-
The results... Esther got first while Izuku got last.
“By the way, the expelling was a lie.”
“Didn’t you guess know that? It was pretty obvious- I remembered that no one else in this class has mind-reading quirks.” Esther says.
-
Esther walks out of school. The sky was a mix of orange and pink, making Esther glow from the light.
“Hey!” a female voice catches her attention. She turns around to see Ura with Izuku and the guy with the stick up his ass.
“Hey Ura, Broccoli and guy with a stick up your ass!” Esther says with a smile. “I was about to find Kacchan but I guess I can talk a bit.”
“Kacchan?” “That’s not my name!”
“Kacchan is Katsuki. Izuku gave him that name, it just stuck,” Esther says.
“You call Midoriya by his first name? Isn’t that uncultured?” Mr. Stick up his ass asked.
“I-I’m fine with it Iida!” Izuku said, waving his hands in front of his face.
“So your last name is Iida? I know your brother but at this point which Pro-Hero do I not know,” Esther said as she tilted her head and closing her eyes in thought. “Ah! Your name is Tenya! Your brother talks about you a bunch when I see him.”
Esther’s phone beeps and she sees Katsuki is calling. She picks it up.
“Ya Kacchan. I’m still at school.”
“No, I’m not with Broccoli.”
“You can just wait longer you impatient swine.”
“Okie, I’m coming now them before you explode that kid’s head off.”
Esther clicked the end button. “Well, I have to go before Katsuki murders someone.”
Esther waved as she walked away.
“Why didn’t you talk to her Midoriya? Didn’t you want to ask about her quirk?” Iida turned to see Izuku shaking with sweat pouring down.
“Are you alright?” Ura asked with concern.
“S-she is so cool... I wished I had half the confidence Katsuki had,” Izuku said as he fell over.

Chapter 1: Izuku Midoriya and Akira Hayashi: The Beginning
Men…          “It’s really cruel to do that, Kacchan…! He’s crying, you know …? I won’t let you… I won’t let you continue without doing anything!” Midoriya cried as he was shivering in fear while protecting the other kind behind him.
“You’re ‘without individuality’, so… *Poof* Don’t think yourself as a hero. You good for nothing!!” Bakugou mocked as he and his friends went towards Midoriya. … Are not all equal at birth. “HIII!” Midoriya squealed and was beaten up by Bakugou and his two friends. This is a fact that Aki-chan and I realized when we were four. “Oi! Kacchan leave Izu-chan alone!” Akira exclaimed. “Ehhh? No way Aki!” Bakugou yelled backed. “KACCHAN! STOP HURTING IZU-CHAN RIGHT NOW!!” Akira shouted angrily. Bakugou’s eyes widen surprised that Akira was angry at him for hurting Midoriya. “Tch. Let’s go.” Bakugou said letting Midoriya go glaring at him, as he and his friends leave. From the corner of Bakugou’s eye, he sees Akira run towards Midoriya worried. Which made him fall under the green eyed monster’s grasp. “Are you okay, Izu-chan?” Akira asked worriedly. “Mhmm, I’m fine Aki-chan,” Midoriya reassured. “Izu-chan doesn't listen to Kacchan, I know you can be a hero,” Akira said with a smile,   And then… “Hurry up Aki-chan!” Midoriya exclaimed while running towards the train station. “Okay okay, Izu-chan,” Akira said following. “Wow!” Midoriya and Akira said in awe. I knew… My first and last great discouragement. “This villain is huge!” Midoriya exclaimed as Akira nodded in agreement. While the two looked at the heroes battle the enormous villain. It all began in the town of Quig Quig, China. One day. They announced the Birth of a “Luminescent” baby! Then, the “Paranormal” was declared everywhere… Time passed … And we could not explain the cause of these phenomena. Very quickly, the “Paranormal” became “Normal”... … And “Dreams”... Became… “Reality”!!! Current society is composed of supermen, and about 80% of the world population has “A unique physical constitution!” Disorder swirled around the world! It is in these circumstances that the profession that everyone has dreamed of… … came under the spotlight!        “GO AWAY EEEEEN!” the gigantic villain shouted. “It must be really impressive “individuality” to be able to transform into a monster. What’s wrong?” “Oh, it’s just a handbag thief acting violently now that his back’s against the wall.” Midoriya and I squeezed through the crowd to the front to see who was fighting the villain.   “Uh, a villain appeared… and thus trains are stopped… Yes, I do not know when I’ll arrive at the office…” “Kyaaa! Do your best, Kamui!” the fangirls squealed. “Who’s fighting?” Midoriya asked. [Izuku Midoriya (14 years old)]. While I stood next to him. [Akira Hayashi (15 years old)]. “You used your skills for illegal purposes when people are going to work, and you have committed a theft resulting in injury.  You’re really evil incarnate.” Kamui said. “This is the “Kamui Wood”! He is a young talent experiencing a surge of popularity!” Midoriya fanboyed. “Hey, you know a lot about him! You would not be… a fan…?!” the guy with small spiky horns asked Midoriya. “Ah, no…” replied Midoriya. ‘As usual, spreading his knowledge of heroes again.’ I thought with a smile. “This is your punishment,” said Kamui as he started to use his moves. “Show us some big moves, Woodsman!” the guy shouted. “Ah! Here it is, the famous “Absolute Preemptive Confinement… Lacquered Chains Prison” Midoriya said. As Kamui was about to use that move…        “Canon Canyon!” exclaimed a gigantic female hero as she kicked the villain. “!?” astonishing Kamui. “!?” Midoriya was also astonished and so was I. Until many men with cameras were taking pictures of the gigantic woman’s ass. ‘Perverts.’ I thought disgusted. “I just started today! I am called Mount Lady! A pleasure to make your acquaintance!” Mount Lady said. As she and the police restrained the villain, while many were taking pictures because she debuted today. As the number of “Paranormal” phenomenon grows up. The number of crime exploded like wildfire. And when governments were bound hand and foot by laws that restricted radical revisions of any reaction… Courageous people… and character traits of American comics went into action. They kept an eye on the “paranormal” and defend the people of bad intentions! Very quickly, under the leadership of public opinion. The hero, after acquiring specific civil rights. Saw their professional activities officially recognized. And to reward their efforts… They received their salaries directly from the state!! And they were acclaimed by the crowds!!! “Titan’s transformation (A.K.A Gigantification), huh..? It is true that it is quite popular and it is really a great “individuality” but when you consider the damage caused to the city, can you fear a bad cost-benefit ratio and limitations of use to come? No… It might depend on whether she can grow at will or not.” Midoriya mumbled to himself while taking down notes. “Hey hey, you also take notes!! You think of becoming a hero or no?! It’s good, continue and give everything you got!! Ah, you too girly!!” the guy that was next to us said to Midoriya and me. “....! Yes! I will do my best!” Midoriya replied with a huge smile. “Same here! Now let’s go!” I said dragging Midoriya to school.        “Ok, you are all in your Third Year in Junior High! *Flap* In other words, it is now or never that you should think of your future!! I will now distribute the career aspiration document!!!” The homeroom teacher exclaimed while slamming his desk. “But hey, you have, for the most part, the ambition to go the section of heroes, no?” “ the teacher said. “YEAH!” everyone except Midoriya, Bakugou and I exclaimed cheerfully. “Well, well. Is everyone here has good “individuals”? But be aware that the use of it outside the establishment is against the rule.” The teacher said. “Sir, please don’t put me in the same bag as “others”! I really do not intend to make buddy-buddy… with… those who have “weak individualities”... You know…?” Bakugou told the teacher. [Katsuki Bakugou (14 years old)]. I sighed ‘There he goes being cocky as always.’ Which caused almost all the students in the class to an uproar in rage. “What do mean by that. Katsuki?!” “Shut up, you secondary characters! Behave as such!” “Oh yes, indeed, Bakugou… You want to go to… “Yuuei High School”, don’t you?” The teacher said making everyone in the room shocked. “..” especially Midoriya. ‘That National High School? It takes a total score of 79 to enter there this year, right?! “It also said that the entrance examination has the air of cutthroat… well, I think?!”  While Midoriya put his head down, as I looked at him with sympathy but was also very annoyed and bored with the occurring events.   “I’m not surprised that secondary characters like you are quaking! I got an A on the exams. Me! I am the only one here that will go to Yuuei!” Bakugou exclaimed while jumping on top of his desk. He continued his proclamation, “I will even surpass All Might. And then, I will become the highest ranked hero of all!! I’ll leave my name forever in the annual ranking of the richest people in the world!!!”        “Oh. Now that we’re talking about it, it’s true that Midoriya and Hayashi also wish to enter Yuuei.” the teacher said. As Midoriya twitched in his seat, I grinned while looking at the frozen Katsuki. While everyone turned to Midoriya and started to laugh at him uncontrollably except Bakugou and me. ‘Even though Izu-chan doesn’t have a Quirk there’s no reason for preying on him.’ I thought annoyed. As the students began to mock Midoriya. “Seriously?! Midoriya?! It is impossible for you!!” “Someone who only knows how to study can’t join the Heroes Section!” “It... It’s not set in stone! You say that just because it has never happened…” Midoriya defended while standing up from his seat. I smiled, ‘Izu-chan you’re standing up for yourself. I haven’t seen that since we were 4.’ (Even though he didn’t but for another kid). “Good for nothing!!!” Bakugou screamed and aimed an explosion at him. “Huh?!!” Midoriya exclaimed flying out of his seat and onto the floor. “You don’t even have a “weak individuality”, You… … You got nothing! So, why are you trying to enter into the same arena as me, huh?!!” Bakugou exclaimed. “Wait… You’re wrong. Not so fast, Kacchan. I… don’t intend to compete against you, not at all! … I swear!” Midoriya said backing away against the wall. “It’s just… It’s my goal since I was little… and then… … Nothing ventured, nothing gained...” Midoriya stuttered. “What do you mean by that?!!” Bakugou exclaimed angrily. “HII!” Midoriya squealed. “Say your prayers!! What are you capable of, anyway?” Bakugou asked. “....” Midoriya was silent and looked at the floor with a frown. ‘Alright, I had enough.’ I thought and got up from my seat, and the class turned to me, ignoring Katsuki and Izuku who we’re too focused on each other. Walking closer to Bakugou, who now noticed me and turned around to face me, as Izuku soon followed behind. I smiled at Bakugou, even though he’s still the jerky guy I still know and I want to slap him above the head. “Katsuki-kun, please sit down. You’re disrupting the class. Also stop using your Quirk, even though the teacher allows you to use it. I am not, especially when you’re terrorizing the students. Especially Izuku.” I said with a polite smile. His reaction was expeditious, but now Bakugou began to yell at me.        “Why should I listen to you, Aki?! I have to admit you have a pretty good Quirk but not as good as mine. And I shouldn’t be listening to a person who’s under me!!” Now, this boy has done it this time. I dropped my smile and stepped closer to Katsuki face-to-face. “ Kacchan, I already told you it is against the rules to use our Quirks, so please go it down because I’m not going to repeat myself a third time, okay?” I said with a closed eye smile. Bakugou’s face flushed red in embarrassment since Akira was standing so close to him. He grumbled, “Stop calling me that…”, as he quickly went back to his seat hoping Akira didn’t see him blush. I turned and walked over to Izuku, who looked at me in awe. I gave him a smile and stuck my hand out to help him off the floor. He quickly took my hand and stood up, thanked me quietly. As we both sat down at our respective desks. “Oh right. Teach, I don’t wish to enter Yuuei. I’m gonna enter Yuuei.” I declared with a grin making everyone astonished, but made every pay attention to the lesson we’re about to learn. ~12:02 Same City~ “NOOOOO!” “THIEF! STOP HIM!” “Catch me… *Squish* … if you can!” the villain exclaimed while running, as the money stuck to his body. “Someone is coming, though.” A blonde man coughed from coming out of the convenience store. “He just enjoys the mess this morning to put him as a grain of salt, right? People who struggle to curb their “individuality”, there definitely everywhere.” “There are no limits.” “Yes, there is. *Dum* Why you ask?” the blond man grew shocking the two guys in front of him. The villain turned around and automatically knew who it was. “Because I’m here!” the blond guy said with a large grin which shined greatly in the radiant sun. ~Back at school~ “Let’s go to the karaoke!” “I can’t!” I finished packing up and looked over Izuku’s phone to see the incident this morning to be at the top of Yahoo. ‘The incident this morning is at the top of Yahoo! News.’ Midoriya thought and finished as he got up. ‘I should hurry to get home and make a summary!’ thought Midoriya while taking his notebook. Until it was snatched. “Ah!” Midoriya exclaimed and looked up to see Katsuki. “I still have things to settle with you, good for nothing,” said Bakugou. “What is that, Katsuki?” Katsuki’s friend asked. “‘For the future’ … Seriously? Pffft, Midoriyaaaaaa!!” Katsuki’s second friend laughed. “It doesn’t concern you! Give it back!!” Midoriya panicked. Since that notebook controls a lot of information on superheroes and some that he favors, so it was precious to him. But it didn’t seem to matter to Bakugou, who immediately exploded the notebook in between his hands. “HUH!?” exclaimed Midoriya. As Bakugou left the book whole, but there were black soots and burnt pages.        “Kacchan, what the hell did you do that for?!” I exclaimed angrily. Midoriya letting out a small cry, “This is too cruel…!!” “Hmph… Some say that it is possible at the start of the year… … To determine the person who will be the first ranked hero.” said Katsuki as he threw the notebook out the window. I’ll be the first! But also only one of this shabby municipal school! And more, since I am a perfectionist, I want those who claim the title of “One who seeks to continue his studies at Yuuei” have a certain “dignity.” Bakugou said. ‘He really is not open-minded…’ Izuku thought. “For the moment… Forget the idea of passing the entering contest of Yuuei, you dirty nerd!” Bakugou said putting his hand on Midoriya’s shoulder, as Izuku shuddered in fear, and Bakugou burned his shoulder. “......” Midoriya was silent. “Oi, hey …try to answer at least something.” Katsuki’s friend told Midoriya. “He can’t. It’s so pathetic that even in third year… He… still can’t see things in the face.” Katsuki’s friend #2 said. As they and Bakugou were near the door. “I forgot there is a method that can be really effective if you want to become a hero so much. Making the leap of the faith from the roof… believing with all your might that you will have an “individuality” in the other world!” Bakugou exclaimed, “Kacchan, that’s going too far!” I exclaimed. “Shut up, Aki!” Bakugou yelled at me. Midoriya looks at him while I was still boiling inside. “You’ve got something to say?” Bakugou taunted while making tiny explosions in his hands. “....” Midoriya was silent, as Bakugou and his friends left. “Izu-chan! Let’s go find your notebook.” I told, he nodded as we went to his notebook outside the school building. We found in the dirty water fountain. ‘Moron! If I really jumped from the roof. It would mean suicide for me. Right?! Think before you speak!!’ Midoriya thought. “This is not for eating, stupid fish! This is my lecture notes… Fools… Fools…” Midoriya said to himself as I looked at him with a sad expression on my face.        “Mom! The computer!” Midoriya exclaimed “Again?! Seriously, you ask me to watch it so many times that you have all by yourself increased the number of views by thousands. It gives me the chills just looking at it.” Midoriya’s mom said starting the video while young Midoriya was excitedly moving his head back and forth in the chair. This is… an old video… “Did you see that?!” “He has already saved 100 people!! And it didn’t even take 10 minutes!! Really, what a monster!! … Just after a disaster arrived. “HAHAHAHAHAHA” All Might laughed loudly carrying many people on his back. “He laughs loudly!” “You no longer have to worry! Why do you ask? BECAUSE I’M HERE!!” All Might exclaimed. “Soooo cool! If I get an “individuality”... ...I want one that looks like his!” Midoriya exclaimed happily and sparkles appeared around him, while his mother looked at him.        “That will not happen, you’d better give up.” the doctor said, as Midoriya was shell-shocked. “Yikes…! There really was something wrong with him? Other children in kindergarten have all had manifestations of their abilities, but my son is the only one that doesn’t yet…” Midoriya’s mom said to the doctor. “You see, in general, this is where the complex individuality manifests, until the age of four. Well, in the past, when the “paranormal” was still in its beginning, the results of research about it made a great noise in their publication. These results, which have spread like a wildfire, indicated that everything depended whether or not the presence of articulation at the small toes. Do you not know? You see, one might compare it to the maxim: men hardly need what they don’t use. And as regards the men which these joints are absent “type”, we can say that it represents a new stage of evolution! Izuku, meanwhile, has two joints. And although this is increasingly rare in our world… It means… He has no “individuality” of any kind.” The doctor said as Izuku was devastated. “....” “He laughs loudly!” “... Mom.” Izuku said making his mom look back. “Whatever the problems that people encounter… I will save them with a smile on the lip… Heroes are really cool. Maybe… ...me too, I could become one someday.” Izuku said turning his chair, pointing at the video of All Might while looking at his mother about to cry his heart out. As his mother broke down and hugged her son behind the chair. “I’m sorry, Izuku. I am so sorry…!!” She cried heavily, as did poor Izuku. Of course not. Do not say that, mom. At that time. I wanted you to tell me...        “When I was little, I had made my decision already. Yeah! I should avoid listening to what people say! *Woosh* I have to keep my head up and continue to move in the direction that I have to set myself!!” Midoriya said confidently. “Good luck Izu-chan I believe in you,” I said with a smile, as we walked out of the tunnel. *GLOOP* “Invisibility Cloak… Size M…” a voice rasped out, materializing out from the small holes from the manhole covering the floor. Izuku and I stopped, turned around to face a villain. Then it suddenly launched at both of us, but Izuku pushed me out of the way. “Aargh.” Izuku gasped out as the villain latched onto him. ‘A villain!?’ Izuku thought. “Don’t worry.” the villain said. “Mmgh! Mmgh!” Midoriya words were muffled out by the villain’s gooey body. “Stop wiggling like that. I’m just gonna take control of your body for a lil’ time, good? It’ll hurt you for 45 seconds… Then the pain disappear. Thanks for that, man. You are my hero… Still, I would never have thought that someone like him would come in this town.” The villain said. “Mmgh!” Midoriya scream was muffled. “If he thinks he can catch me when I’m in liquid form, he can always dream!!” the villain said. ‘I can’t breathe!! I am losing… all my strength. I’m gonna die! Is this the end for me!? Someone. Aki-chan!! Help me!!! I’m going to die!!! I don’t want…’ Midoriya thought as he tries to get out of the villain's’ grasp.  “Let go of Izu-chan!” I exclaimed, grabbing Midoriya’s hand. “Crystal Slash!” I screamed cutting the villain in half, and it’s arm and head, and freeing Midoriya from its clutches. “Izu-chan, are you okay!?” I asked as he managed to nod, laying his body on the ground. “Heh… It seems that I’ve come across a unique Quirk. A Quirk like yours, I could definitely defeat All Might!” the villain yelled, launching itself at me now. I covered Midoriya’s body with my own, closing my eyes hoping someone would appear to help us. “Do not worry, kids!!” exclaimed a stranger who came out of the sewers. I opened my eyes, and Midoriya looked to the side to see All Might. “!?” The villain was shocked. “I’m here!”  All Might said coming out of the sewers. “TEXAS… SMASH!!” All Might shouted punching the villain away, as I held Midoriya from behind, as I crystallized my feet so we don’t get blown away by the air pressure All Might made. “Just because… … the air pressure?!” the villain exclaimed as he was splattered all over the tunnel. ‘Huh!? All… Mi….igh…’ Izuku thought before losing consciousness. Once the wind stopped, I put Izuku down outside the tunnel and retrieved his notebook while All Might put the villain in a coca cola bottle. All Might step outside the tunnel.  “Ah, young Akira! It’s nice to see you again, and you’re okay!” All Might greet me.“Geez, All Might. I thought my parents told not to over do it.” I said looking at him with a straightforward look. “Sorry about that.” He said while grinning and scratching behind his neck. I sighed, “Well just don’t over do it again okay?” “I know I know.” said All Might. “Anyway… Do you mind giving my unconscious best friend an autograph?” I asked handing him Midoriya’s notebook. “Sure!” He exclaimed, signing Izuku’s notebook. All Might gave it back to me, I smiled. ‘Izu-chan’s gonna flip out over this.’ as we walked over to the unconscious Midoriya. All Might crouched down towards him and began to pat Midoriya quickly on the cheek.        "Hey! Kid! Wake up… Ah!” All Might said seeing an awoken Midoriya. “Thank god!” All Might exclaimed. “HOOOOOW?!” Midoriya screeched quickly backing away from All Might on his butt and clinging onto me. “You seem to be doing well, that is the most important!! I’m really sorry!! You got involved in my removal of the villain. I don’t usually make beginners mistakes like this, but well… Maybe I have let myself go a little since I’m in a strange land, and that the capture was made “off screen”?” All Might said while laughing [Hero no. 1: All Might]. “Anyway, it’s thanks to you that I have succeeded, so thank you!!! I did a “checkmate” without a problem, at the end!!! *BRAAAAP!*” All Might said holding out the villain in the cola bottle. ‘All Might!!! The real… The real one!! All Might in the flesh and bone!! It is designed in a completely different way!!!’ Izuku thought fanboying inside. “I forgot! C-Can I have your autograph…?” Midoriya asked All Might while looking around for his notebook, only to see it in my hands. “Ah, on my notes… Thanks, Aki-chan…” Midoriya said taking it from my hands as I nodded. “Please!!!” He shouted and opens it up to see the autograph. “Woaaaaaaaah! T… Thank you very much!! I will make this a family heirloom!! A family treasure, even!!” Midoriya said bowing his head so much, I had to hold the back of his uniform jacket so he doesn’t hit his head on the concrete. All Might gave a thumbs up to Midoriya, “Well, I have to take him to the post! Check out my exploits on LCD TV, kids!!” Midoriya stopped bowing and looked up as I let go of his jacket. “Ha! Really…? Already…? But I still…” He said with a dejected sigh, “You know, professionals must constantly fight against time and evil.” All Might said as he was stretching ready to launch. ‘Wait! I still…! Have a bunch of questions for you…’ Midoriya thought. “With that, I am counting on you to continue in the future… TO SUPPORT ME!” All Might said launching up high in the sky. “Huh? No, no!” All Might exclaimed to see Midoriya and me hanging onto his legs. “Let me go!! Are you crazy or what?!” All Might exclaimed trying to push Midoriya and me off. “If… If we let you go now… We’re going…!! We’re going to die…!” Midoriya told. “Indeed!!” All Might said as he stopped pushing us off his legs. “I…! Have many things…!! To ask… you directly! You…” Midoriya finished as his mouth and eyes were open wide. “Ok, ok, I understand. Close your eyes and mouth now!” All Might told him as Midoriya did what he was told. “*Cough* Hum… Shit!!” He muttered under his breath as a small amount of blood appeared on his mouth. *FSSHHHH* “...... Where am I…? Damn…! Motherfucker… If only he didn’t exist…!” the villain said as he opened his eyes to see Bakugou and his friends. “But you’re childhood friends, right?” Friend #1 asked Bakugou while having a cigarette in his mouth. “You’ve really gone too far now.” Friend #2 said grabbing a cigarette. “It's his fault for getting in my way,” Bakugou said kicking the cola bottle that the villain was a pole, opening the bottle. “Even when we were kids, he was already a jerk who believed in a dream... And Aki was always there to protect him...I’m getting angry just remembering that.” Bakugou said angrily exploding the soda can that was in his hand, ‘Why does Aki prefer Deku instead of me? I have a Quirk and he’s Quirkless.’ He thought in envy. “Argh.” the two friends flinched. “Enough about that. I told you to stop smoking! If you get busted, it will make me look bad on my school report…” Bakugou shouted angrily at them while waving his hand off because of the can he exploded. The two ignored him and stuttered while pointing, “Lo… Look!” “?” Bakugou was confused. “Invisibility cloak… … With good “individuality”...” muttered the villain as he was behind Bakugou ready to engulf him in his liquified body.        We landed on a rooftop of a building. “That was creepy…” Midoriya shuddered out while I patted his back. “Seriously!! I was forced to land to talk to a person at the bottom of the social ladder. Oh well. I really have no time to lose, so I’ll leave you two here!!” All Might said, “ Wait!! Uh…” Midoriya panicked while turning his body around. “No! I can’t wait!” All Might exclaimed, slightly scaring Midoriya as he was shaking. “Can I become a hero… even without an “individuality”?!” “Is it possible for a person without an “individuality”... to become like you…?” Midoriya asked All Might with a slightly flushed face while shutting his eyes tightly. “No “individuality”...?” All Might questioned turning his head slightly. ‘The truth is going to hurt you, Izu-chan. Even though you already know that for years, but it’s gonna hurt even more from your favorite hero.’ I thought with a sad expression on my face. “!” All Might look up. ‘Oh, I smell a rat… Holy shit, holy shit, holy shit…’ All Might thought as steam was coming out of his body. I looked up to see steam coming out of All Might’s body. ‘Oh crap! His time is up! I have to cover All Might so Izu-chan doesn’t see him. But I can’t run towards him Izu-chan will see… Gahh!!’ I screamed in my head. “Because I do not have an “individuality” … No, it is perhaps not only because of it either, but… … They laugh all the time at me… I… do not really know why, but… I think… it’s really cool to be able to save people.” Midoriya said looking down on his feet, while All Might was deflating. “I want to save people with a smile that knows no fear! I want to become the best heroes, just like you…” Midoriya trailed as he looked up with a smile to see a deflated All Might. “....” All Might was silent. ‘Welp the cat’s out of the bag now.’ I thought. “HUUUUH!?” Midoriya screamed astonished. “You narrowed!!! Huh?! Suddenly… Huh?! You are a fake, right?! You are an impostor, right?! You’re too thin!!” Midoriya exclaimed while pointing at All Might, ‘I knew he wouldn’t take this well.’ I sighed. “....” All Might was silent. “I am All Might.” All Might said as blood came out his mouth, as I gave him a handkerchief to wipe the blood away. “WHAT!!? I DON’T BELIEVE YOU!!!” Midoriya exclaimed flabbergasted, while All Might was wiping his blood with my hanky. As All Might replied, “There are many people who retain their Abs at the pool, right? Well there is none!”, “Stop lying!” Midoriya exclaimed. “He’s telling you the truth Izu-chan.” I said Midoriya turned to me, “EH?! Aki-chan?! You’re lying right!?” Midoriya exclaimed as I shook my head. “*Sigh* A smile that knows no fear, huh…?” All Might said sitting on the floor. “Well, as you can see, kid… and Akira already knew about it… What is written on the internet is not necessarily true, you know?” All Might said. “That’s… not true.” Midoriya said still shellshocked from the true form of All Might.        All Might lifted his shirt up, “This is a wound… I got 5 years ago by the attack of a villain.” “HIIII!” Midoriya gasped in horror. “Result: Semi-destruction of my respiratory system and total removal of my stomach. My face is emaciated and haggard; my eyes are side effects of repeated surgeries. Currently, I can’t work actively as a hero more than about three hours a day. This is my limit.” All Might finished. “5 years ago…? When you fought against the “Venomous Chainsaw…?” Midoriya asked. “You know your subject well. I won’t let them get me like that, anyway!” said All Might as he clenched his fist. “What I told you was never publicly disclosed. I will, therefore, ask you to not to reveal to anyone, please. The “Symbol of Peace” who saves people with a smile… Absolutely can’t afford to bow to the forces of evil. If I laugh, it is just… to distract me from the fear that I feel and the pressure under which I awash as heroes.” All Might said, “....!” Midoriya was speechless. “Professionals must always put their lives at stake. So, I can’t openly say that being a hero is “possible without an ability” … Because it may not be possible, simply.” said All Might. “... I see…” Midoriya said as he tries to hold in his tears. “If all you care about is to save people, then you can also become a policeman. That way, you are also “responsible for receiving the villain”... A job often ridiculed and disparaged, but no less admirable!” All Might said, standing up and headed to the door. “....” Midoriya was silent, as I put my hand on his shoulder. “It’s not a bad thing to dream. But… be careful not to obscure the facts, kid. Oh and Akira, I’ll be coming by tonight to talk with your parents.” All Might said as I nodded. He closed the door leaving Midoriya and I alone, while I hugged him to comfort him knowing the truth would hurt him. ‘... Well, I gotta hurry and take…’ All Might paused his thought while going through his pant’s pocket. “....? ….” only to see that it was not there. *BWOUM!* “....” All Might look out the window to see an explosion. “This is not true…” All Might trailed and began to panic.        “GWOAAAAARGH!” Bakugou screamed at the top of his lungs while pulling on the slime around him. “As if I’d let me… … get absorbed by a muddy… bastard…” Bakugou exclaimed. ‘What incredible strength!! Looks like I pulled the right number! With this “individuality” and this force, I’ll sure take my revenge on that guy!’ the slimy villain thought. “Perfect! Who’s this guy? A villain of the first rank, perhaps?!” “Go heroes!” “I can’t do anything if there are at least two lanes of traffic!” Mt. Lady said, ‘Explosions and flames are not really my cup of tea…! I give my place to someone else this time!” Kamui said rescuing Bakugou’s friends and other civilians. “We expect your help, thank you! Turning off this fire requires my full attention! Is the truck not here yet? What the fuck?!” Backdraft exclaimed while putting out the fire. “It is so slippery that you can’t catch him with bare hands, and more, because this kid has a good “individuality”, the only solution is to wait it out! Because of that, we believe it to be a minefield!” Deathgoro ( aka. Death Arms) exclaimed. “Even going there, it’s difficult to do anything!!” said another hero. “It’s useless! There’s no one here who can stop this!” Deathgoro said, “One can only wait for someone with an advantageous “individuality” to show up!!” the other hero said. “What will you do with the number of victims growing during this time?! Bring someone now!” Backdraft exclaimed while putting out the fire. “It makes me feel sorry for the kid, but we have to wait a little longer!” said the hero with steam coming out of his helmet. “Fuck!!” Deathgoro cursed while tightening his fist. ‘If only I had the power to send him to the other world or something like that…!!’ he thought frustratedly. While All Might was in the crowd sweat dropping from the running he had to do to get to the district. ‘He must have fallen at that time!!’ he thought to remember Midoriya and Akira were hanging on to his legs in mid-air. ‘I was so absorbed in what I was doing that I did not see the time pass! What a mistake on my part! And all of this just because I was trying to reason with a fan!! I’m pathetic… so pathetic!!!’ All Might thought while clutching his shirt with a guilty look on his face.        Midoriya and I were walking down the street, as Midoriya looked at his burnt notebook remembering the hurtful words he was told before. I look at him with a sad expression. "Be careful not to obscure the facts.” “It’s so pathetic to see that even in the Third year, I still can’t face these things.” “In other words, it is now or never that you will seriously consider your future!!” ‘The highest… in the professional ranking…’ Midoriya thought as tears were forming in his eyes, he wipes his nose with his hand. ‘No crying… I have known it already, right!? This is the reality… But it is precise because that I knew… that I was dead serious…!’ he thought. “Ah,” I said and looked at the crowd across the street, getting Midoriya to look over there. Do not look. I tell you not to… Watch…! “....” Midoriya was silent, as he crossed the street and I followed to see what was all the commotion. ‘This explosion yet…’ Midoriya thought. You’ll look because you’re used to it. Huh? Stop right now! It’s useless to continue watching. “....!?” Midoriya and I were astonished to see that slimy villain. ‘What he’s doing here?!!! All Might! The Villain has escaped?!... Or is it that he fell…?! But then…’ Midoriya thought paused. “....! … It’s… my fault…!” Midoriya said, “No… it’s both of our faults!” I said. “Why is it that the heroes are standing there like pegs?” “I understand that a schoolboy got caught.” “....!’ Midoriya and I heard over the two civilians. ‘He got caught… That is to say, he faced this pain?!! Hell…!’ Midoriya thought as he covered his mouth with his hands in fear, remembering how he got captured by that villain. ‘Damn it! We’ve messed up big time.’ I thought with a frustrated look. “Anyway, this villain…” “Isn’t this the one All Might pursued earlier?” “All Might! Seriously?! Do you think he will come?!” “....!” Midoriya and I flinched. “I’ve caught a glimpse of him before.” “Well then, what takes All Might so long?!” “....!” All Might flinched as well.        ‘This is all our faults…!! And whoever is caught can’t move. This mud is elusive! They are just waiting for a hero with an advantageous “individuality” to come!!’ Midoriya and I thought, as Midoriya covered his mouth as if he’s about to puke. ‘Hang on…!!! Sorry!! I’m really sorry…!! Some will come and save you right now… Someone… A hero will come to save you from one moment to another…’ Midoriya thoughts trailed. As Katsuki turned to look at the crowd, his eyes instantly looked at Midoriya’s trembling ones and mine. His eyes widen looking completely helpless. Midoriya grabbed my wrist and immediately sprinted towards Katsuki. “!?” astonishing everyone. “Eh!? Izu-chan!?” I exclaimed as I was dragged in by Midoriya.  “MORON! STOP! STOP!” Deathgoro exclaimed as we ignored him and continued running forward to Bakugou. “Those kids…” the villain trailed, “Good for nothing and Aki…?!” Katsuki said. I pulled my wrist away from Midoriya wrist. ‘Why did I rush towards him? What makes me?! Why?!!’ thought Midoriya. “Death by an explosion.” the villain said. “HIII…!” Midoriya shrieked while running. ‘What do I do, what do I do at a time like this?! Page 25!!’ he thought. “Argh!!” Midoriya exclaimed and threw his backpack at the villain’s face. “Ugh!” the villain groaned. “Crystal Dragon’s Claw!” I exclaimed and kicked/ sliced a piece of the villain’s body but nowhere near Bakugou. “Gah!” the villain screamed in pain as it loosened its grip on Bakugou. I reached out to his side and began to help Izuku to pull Katsuki out. “Kacchan!” cried Midoriya and me, as Midoriya grabbed his arm. “Why? Why are you two here?” Katsuki yelled, surprised to see us here trying to rescue him. “My legs moved by themselves! I… really don’t understand why!!!” Midoriya yelled. I think there were several reasons for this. “This is my fault.” “You’d better not give up.” “Yes, I won’t!! I will do my best!!” “So why is it that you are trying to get into the same arena as me, huh?!!” “Kacchan. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.” “That is my goal.” “Heroes are really cool.” “Be careful not to obscure the face.” “I want to save people with a smile.” But at that time, it was mostly… “Because… … your face seemed to be calling for help!” Midoriya said determined with tears in his eyes. Shocking Katsuki, All Might, and me. “Yeah! We don’t want anything bad to you even if you are a jerk. We care about you baka!” I said with a smile, and tears coming out of my eyes. “Stop….. You…!” Bakugou muttered out. ‘Pathetic… Pathetic!!!’ All Might think as he started to flex back. “I’m almost finished, so… Move, it brats!” the villain screamed. I grabbed Midoriya, and I stomped my feet creating a crystal shield as the villain began to smash it with its hand. But the shield I created started to have a small crack each time it hits the shield. As the heroes began to panic. “They will die needlessly! It is as if asking to commit suicide!!” Deathgoro exclaimed as he and the other heroes try to save us. As soon as the shield was broken. *GRAP!* “!!?” “You have managed to persuade me… That my morals are there just for me to listen. To me, it’s saying that I do not set an example!!!” All Might exclaimed as he raised his fist back. “The professionals put their lives all the time in the game!!!!!” All Might finished as blood came out of his mouth. I knew what was going to happen, so I grabbed Midoriya and Bakugou by the hand and crystallized our feet. “DETROIT SMASH!!!” screamed  All Might blowing away the slimy villain. While everyone crouched down and held onto each other so they don’t start flying away. Then a raindrop came down from the sky. “.... It’s raining?” “Wait, did he just caused an updraft…” “... With just air pressure…?” “Hey hey hey hey hey hey hey.” As All Might look at the three unconscious teens holding each other hands while wiping away the blood that remains in his mouth. Midoriya on the right, Akira in the middle, and Bakugou on the left. As the crystallization on their feet were gone. “Time has changed nothing that with a straight!” “So cool, so this is it. The real power of… All Might!!!” Everyone celebrated and started to move towards him. “....” All Might look back. After this incident. The hero recuperated pieces of Muddy… And carry them without harm to the police station. I was right to long sermons from the hero. “You didn’t really need to expose yourself to such danger!!” Deathgoro yelled at Midoriya as he sat there being scolded by the heroes. Kacchan and Aki-chan. Meanwhile, they were being complimented. “What incredible strength! And “individuality”!! If you become professionals, I will make you my junior!! Especially you Hayashi! When you become big as your family, Gaia, Night Shadow,  Apex Gale and Flare. I’ll be honored to have you as my sidekick.” said one of the heroes. I only smiled politely, but I had a feeling they would mention my family. I looked over to see Midoriya still being scolded by the heroes, poor guy. Bakugou huffed in envy, due to Akira receiving a lot of praise from the heroes, also paying attention to Midoriya well… at least in his eyes. But he did get to hold hands with her and was told by her that she cares about him. Causing Bakugou to blush slightly, remembering how soft and warm her hand was. Good thing she was looking at Deku and the hero was still praising them. ‘Why do always do this to me, idiot…’ Bakugou thought gripping his shirt. Though that didn’t stop him from glaring at Midoriya and burn holes at the back of his head.        ‘I wanted to apologize All Might, but… I guess I’ll have to settle for me to send him a message on his home page after returning…’ Thought a dejected Midoriya as I was walking home with him and patted his shoulder and gave him a smile, he blushed slightly and returned a smile. “Hey, good for nothing, Aki!!!” Katsuki called us out. “!” making us turn around. “I… never asked for you two to come help me…! I did not need to be saved!! Ok?! You’ve got it?! I could take care of myself, yeah! The only thing missing is that I have to apologize to a good for nothing without an “individuality” and a goody two shoes with an “individuality” like you! I owe you apologize!! Fucking nerds!!” Bakugou said turning around and began to walk away. ‘What a strong head…!’ Midoriya thought with a sweat drop. “Typical.” I sighed. ...Things are as you said. My helplessness is still there. But anyway… I’m happy. After all these events. I will now be able to abandon the future I dreamed… “I’M HERE!!” All Might exclaimed, cutting off Midoriya by appearing from the left side of the road. “HUH?!” Midoriya and I screamed. “All Might! What are you doing here…?” Midoriya asked. “You were surrounded by a horde of reporters earlier…” I trailed off as he started to laugh. “I can avoid them if I wanted to! After all, I’m All Mi… *Cough*” All Might then deflated back to his skinny self. “AARGH!” Midoriya screamed. “Here,” I said giving All Might another hankie as he took it and started to wipe off the blood. “Kid. I came to thank you and make some corrections… and I also have a proposal for you.” All Might said, “Huh?” Midoriya said with a confused look on his face. “If you hadn’t been there and if I did not hear your personal story… And you even told me that I had fake muscles!! For all that, I must thank you!!” All Might finished. “Fake muscles…I don’t think you have to thank him for that...” I trailed off. “Don’t… from the beginning, it’s entirely my fault! I disturbed you during your work… And I was relatively cheeky as I am “without an individuality”...” Midoriya said as his voice trailed off. “Hey, it was my fault too,” I told. “About that!!” All Might interrupted, causing Midoriya to look up, and I too look at All Might. “At the time, no one could act. You are the only one who could do it, you, a shy person and just “without an individuality”!!! And that really touched me!! Okay, but then what? How does the story end up for most of these people?! It always concludes with these words: “My body moved by itself!!” Some say that while being at school. It is possible to determine most people who will be part of the best-ranked hero…” said All Might, as Midoriya was trembling vigorously. For one reason or another…   “.....” … I remembered the words of my mother. “I’m sorry, Izuku, I’m so sorry…!” “This is… what happened to you too, right?!” All Might asked Midoriya. “... Yes…” Midoriya cried out. Don’t say that, Mom. At that time, I wanted you to tell me… “YOU CAN BECOME A HERO.” All Might screamed proudly. As Izuku stuffed his face into my chest, hugging me tightly and cried his heart out, sobbing loudly, pulling me down to the ground. I hugged him back, “See? I told you that you’ll become a hero.” I said with a closed eye smile as he sobbed even harder, while I hugged him tighter.   “Dreams… eventually, become real.” Also, I forgot to mention. But… This will be the story of my journey to become the best of all heroes along with Aki-chan of course.
