Hello! Eli Fawcett has my attention. Do tell me more about him, please ^^ 💙
-endlessly-cursed
[Eli's hazel eyes sparkle mischievously as he cocks his eyebrows.]
Eli: "Aha? You wish to know more about 'Funnyman Fawcett?' Well, my dear, let me tell you the daring, exciting tale of how I became the man I am today. It all started in the hospital when..."
[Pause, and then a cheesy grin.]
Eli: "...Actually, that might be a bit too graphic. Perhaps I should skip ahead a bit. So there was this big cattle-call for this moving picture, and right in the middle of the audition process, the director got called away because one of their stuntmen had gotten hurt and they were suddenly one short."
[Smirk.]
Eli: "I got so excited at the thought that I could show off my stuntwork that I tripped over my own two feet right in front of the director and crashed right through the fake elephant. The director was laughing so hard that he cast me right then and there."
((OOC: @endlessly-cursed Okay, seriously, this made me smile so big! So here are some bonus headcanons for my boy for you!
+Eli only earned one OWL at school, for Muggle Studies. It was always his best class, though he did actually do really well in Defense Against the Dark Arts, when it came to defensive magic and wizarding dueling. He just didn't do so well on the "writing essays" and "dealing with Dark creatures" parts.
+Eli is something of a prodigy when it comes to playing the piano. He can learn melodies really quickly after hearing a bit of them, and he can play the likes of Mozart and Beethoven purely from memory. It's one of the only things Eli was good at and enjoyed that his family ever praised him for. Eli, however, has always preferred playing fluff pieces more than anything -- he made a name for himself back in his school days by playing the piano at the Three Broomsticks all the time during Hogsmeade weekends to entertain the customers, and he frequently took requests.
+Eli's dead name is "Elizabeth." His family even now calls him "Eliza." At school, Eli frequently told people to just call him "Fawcett," as opposed to his birth name or (worse) "Miss Fawcett," which he's always hated. When he first moved to the States, he signed his name as "Eli Z. Fawcett, so that people wouldn't call him "Miss," and he just stuck with it.
+Eli loves to sing, but he's always secretly lamented that his voice isn't as low as he's always imagined it to be in his own head. One of his favorite songs is "Over the Rainbow" from The Wizard of Oz.
+Eli largely lives in the Muggle World, thanks to his career, but he'll still visit wizard-owned establishments when he's looking for a fun time. He's also not above sometimes using some spells or potions covertly, so as to heal any injuries he might sustain or fix anything that gets broken.
+Most Hollywood people who know Eli casually tend to see him as "Funnyman Fawcett" -- someone who always keeps the smile on his face and never means anything seriously. He's also seen as a bit of a likeable airhead on set, particularly by most of his female co-stars, who generally treat him like this adorable puppy you can't help but coddle because he never thinks anything through before just barreling in.
+Eli may be a ray of sunshine who you will rarely see angry and almost never see sad (even if he does suffer from severe chronic depression), but when he does actually get mad, his cheery, jokester affect tends to slowly give way to a quiet, cold, searing, cynical edge. He's usually very amiable and actively tries to diffuse conflict or violence, but if you somehow manage to piss him off, he can and will cut you deep with his words...because yeah, words can leave much deeper wounds than a fist on its own ever could. And if his words actually prompt you to lash out violently, Eli can punch back with more than enough strength to make you regret it.))
