I really love the fact that Odysseus doesn't hear a baby crying while in the Underworld in Epic despite fearing it. In a way, I'd like to think that Astyanax/Scamandrius isn't crying because he's being comforted by Hector.

Ok you guys, hear me out.
I know we all love Regulus listening to sad girl music, and I totally agree. HOWEVER, let’s not forget that Sirius Black is his brother, the most punk rock fucker at Hogwarts. And Barty is his best friend, and a total metal head.
So he would be around the heavier kinds of music all the time. There’s just no way he didn’t like ANY of it.
So may I present to you, Regulus Black loving deftones.
Just think about it. They’re both heavy and melodic. They’ve got the sad girl vibe, but in such a badass way, which is so Regulus. Not to mention the foreshadowing in Beware would be CRAZY.
Regulus Black 🤝 Deftones

Anyways, stream Julien Baker's music. Those monthly listeners are criminally low for someone with amazing and devastating song writing skills.

i want salieri to have more nice things so
man in his life literally tutored brightest musicians of our world, hell, he even tutored mozart’s son
watch guda summoning a bunch of high rarity famous musicians who look cool and even maybe cold af but the moment they see salieri they go all excited like ‘teacher!’
also lmao with Beethoven it’s even funnier because salieri and beethoven engage into fast sign language conversation you’ll take that hc from my dead cold hands
at this point man mothered mentored child servants and brightest musicians, watch them be his emotional support

I swear to the fucking gods that Hozier, Noah Kahan, and Taylor Swift were sent to kill me. I just had a meeting with my supervisor with my eyes red from crying and had to use the phrase "with all due respect, if I told you why I'm crying you'll have me committed." To which he responded "Taylor Swift release, am I right?"
Sir, if it were only that I would be FINE but you mean to tell me that I have to live life sad and forever heartbroken while some Irishman growls that future is so bright it's burning, some dork from Vermont says that he has a broken bone in his hand so he can't tighten his grip but will never let you go, and some sociopath with puzzles that rival the Zodiac killer screams that she can do it all with a broken heart?? HOW THE FUCK AM I SUPPOSED TO ACT LIKE EVERYTHING IS FINE???

I have incomprehensible thoughts rn about how many classic American folk songs are kinda fucked up (and many are "sanitized" for modern listening to be less fucked up), and it's wild that we just, teach these songs to children without any context or anything? like, clementine is about a miner's daughter DROWNING TO DEATH as he watches helplessly? Old folks at home is a fucking RACIST AF ass song written by a white dude in the perspective of a slave who has been freed who misses his life on a plantation? when John Henry was sang by miners it often had ad-libbed, graphic lyrics about having sex with women at the end of the work day (as a way to motivate themselves and get them through the hell that was mining in the 1800s), and a lot of our modern versions are just super sanitized? like I get its hard to explain a lot of that shit to kids but like, its often never revisited and those songs are just left as sanitized, incoherent childhood introductions to America when they actually all have great amounts of value and history when put into context!!

sure, anyone is such a cunty song but the lyrics tho??
"i swear i promise / even the deep beating of my heart / i'll give everything to you"
"we make the rules / the only rule in the world / can't change it / not anyone, anyone"
"even at any place in the world, i say that it's you"
"a small flower that fell from the sky above / you're a gift meant for me in the middle of a dessert"
"not anyone"
romantic.
