More Humanformers Wrestling! AU, please...?
Sure thing!
Humanformers Wrestling!
Pt.3
I figured prowl will be the wrestler whose infamous among his colleagues fr having the highest record of losing partners, but that didnt deterred a group of construction themed fighters to approach him w/ an offer to take over the vacant spot on their team.& against all odds this collab proved a huge success that got prowls name relevant again
Kup is the typical old timer coach, but i think u know that already
Many fighters have their own side projects, like elita 1 owning women-only fitness gyms & optimus keeping a lot of libraries open & sponsoring book gifting programs.
Megatron as well wrote multiple poetry books & thinkpieces, but theyre all under pseudonyms so it wont touch his harsh persona but still a lot of ppl & some his colleagues know its him lmao ,starscream is a fashion model no question asked.
All of soundwave entrance themes r produced by him & they slap af wich is why he uploads all of his songs to spotify after the constant demand of his fans
Sunstreaker & sideswipe r the most vicious fighters of the new gen, w/ strong stage presense & an array of fighting styles under their belts had made them known as the terror twins.however it seems they had a falling out of sort, wich they both refuse to disclose the reason to the news only declaring theyll gonna go w/ new partners.
Shokwave used to be a wrestler at the peak of his career, but he got into an accident that left him disfigured & unable to fight.so to not end up in the streets,he pulled away from the public eye completely to work as a promoter organizing the events & managing talents, leaving the circumstances around his accident a mystery
& to end on another bad note, grimlocks career was abruptly ended when he got brain damage in the ring, but instead of sufficient support he got dropped out by the company wich sparked an outrage among the audience & fellow wrestlers esp his team "the dinobots",suspecting it was the doing of their elusive executive shockwave.

Forget how transformers canon usually depicts Megatron and Starscream, I want them to be petty with each other but ultimately care about each other when in the other's time of need

tf one shattered glass au idea ramble
For those who don't know - shattered glass is the alternate universe where basically autobots: evil, decepticons: good. Optimus is even worse than Megatron from canon he's terrifying.
But I was just wondering how it could play out; with the origins still staying the same as in tf:one. Troublemaker bright Orion and exasperated warm D-16.
Orion and D-16 are still the same - in the beginning. But in this universe, Orion steps on toes too many times, and the patience of the law too thin and harsh. He gets arrested and Empurata is performed on him. No one would miss a cogless miner.
However midway, the surgery is botched as Sentinel demands no more resources be put to useless bots. It’s would be simpler to cast him out of sight, out of mind. Now Orion is thrown out with his mind having undergone massive torture, and disfiguration to his face. (the scars don't go away when he gets his cog.)
D-16, mysteriously losing his partner, goes on a quest to find him and gets into trouble with Darkwing from asking too many questions. He stumbles across Bumblebee and Orion, mangled and different, in sub level 50.
Everything spirals from there as Orion Pax vows to tear down the corrupt senate and Sentinel Prime, who barely gave him a glance as he was dragged away. D-16, angry and most of all worried, is all ready to cross the line with Orion. But on their journey to find the the matrix in hopes of reviving Cybertron, he meets Starscream.
The old high guard, still full of hope to unite Cybertron for a better future - it's what the Thirteen would have wanted - has been raiding Quintesson ships to retrieve their energon. Starscream urges him that what comes after Sentinel should Orion Pax execute him will be even worse. He can tell. Whoever Orion was, Empurata- Sentinel had killed him.
D-16 furious at even such a thought, swiftly is shown exactly why he should be afraid as he witnesses Orion tear apart the High Guard and wrestle them to heel. Energon is spilled. But before more can happen, Airachnid and Sentinel Prime's forces arrive and take Orion and Bumblebee.
Sentinel mocks Orion, "I remember you! Violent now hm? Always the criminal." he looks down disdainfully at the Energon soaked hands. Bumblebee goes to defend Orion... and has his voicebox destroyed for retaliation. This, is the origin of Goldbug.
That's all I got right now - it came to me on the bus to work.
Hopefully I can draw it someday.

Having seen some frankly irritating opinions from both sides of the aisle, I think some of y'all need to chill about the way the Decepticons were handled in EarthSpark.
Decepticon fans are allowed to be upset that the faction's depth and potential for development was tossed aside in favor of "Decepticons are just evil".
However, depth and potential doesn't mean the Decepticons have to be buddy-buddy with the Autobots. Depth is amoral, you can be a villain who resists "redemption" and still be a well-rounded character.
My issues with S2 vs S1 are as follows:
The lack of good explanation for why the sides are fighting again. I am not upset that the Cons are villains again. They have no reason to like or trust any human or Autobot, and gratitude for having your life saved only goes so far. My issue is that S2 literally opens by saying the Cons started the fight again just because that's what Cons do. Obviously the story is from the perspective of the main cast, and there are hints that they could be intentionally unreliable narrators (Starscream refers to them as oppressors, Breakdown challenges Bumblebee about giving up on Cybertron), but we aren't given enough time with the Cons to draw a solid conclusion about the intentions here.
The way the heroes treat Spitfire, i.e. a literal newborn. She was 100% in the right when she said that she didn't know the moral rules she was being expected to follow. But because she wasn't born with morals and an understanding of mortality preinstalled, the heroes condemned her instead of trying to de-escalate and take responsibility for their part in the situation (granted, Megatron was the only flight-capable adult present and he argued against de-escalation. Which tracks because he's Megatron. But someone should have pushed for a peaceful resolution).
How much depth do individual Decepticons still have? Who knows, Starscream, Shockwave, and Breakdown are the only ones with any focus. The others are only seen fighting, causing trouble for fun, or just standing around growling. Twitch - i.e. one of our main characters - literally spends an entire episode in the Con camp and we still manage to see nothing of Decepticon life when they're just hanging out. And yes, I know that the more characters you have in a scene, the harder it is to show their personalities. You can still show them playing cards or arm-wrestling or something. Anything to show that they're actually people and not just a hive mind that exists to fight.
Starscream. Specifically the last 20 minutes of the S2 finale, because everything else in his characterization fit S1 until that point. He literally calls the Autobots oppressors, so of course he's going to fight them. He wants Aftermath kept out of the way (that's a child, so that's perfectly reasonable) and he's frankly patient with Twitch-as-Spitfire, in spite of Skywarp's incredulity that he lets her "get away" with causing trouble (again, that is a child. Patience is the correct response). He even seems to like Spitfire after meeting the real her. The only issue I had with Starscream leading up to the second half of the finale was that his motivations didn't seem to be much deeper than "I want power" (I could be misremembering that point - there may have been an "Earth is going to be our home, let's make it better to live on" when he and Shockwave discussed Cybertron). And then the last 20 minutes happened and I can't see any logical extrapolation from S1 to that. It was just a generic "Starscream goes mad with power", and it came completely out of left field. Not even any remorse about what he "needed" to do or any attempt to justify himself, it was just, "Yeah, I'm worse than the people I called out for being oppressors, isn't it great?"
If there is some big plot twist where it turns out the heroes were unreliable narrators all along, some of my issues will actually be fixed. However, I find that extremely unlikely, for one major reason: all of the non-Decepticon characters who disagree with the heroes are either villains or they "come around". The Quintessons felt betrayed by Quintus? Nah, Quintus was a great guy, you can tell because he tortured a kid for wishing she had never been chosen by him. Prowl doesn't like the Autobots' reliance on children? Silly Prowl, those kids are special, we want them to fight. The narrative never, at any point, entertains the idea that those dissenting voices might have a point. Which means we're probably meant to take the heroes at face value on most, if not all things.
TL;DR: the Decepticons being villains makes perfect sense, even with the context of S1; it's the heroes acting like they're only fighting for power after we had several episodes about second chances and not all Decepticons being the same that makes it feel like a cop-out. And Decepticon fans are allowed to be upset that some of their favorite characters had interesting stuff going on only to be functionally relegated to Voiceless Grunt Number 3 (and yes, several Autobots have also been relegated to Voiceless Grunts. If one of your favorite characters has fallen victim to this affliction, regardless of faction, you have my sympathies).

You dare break my heart like that?? /j
This can only be rectified with fluff
I repent
Nightly Excitement
Words: 978
“Stop squirming you piece of scrap!” Starscream snaps, grabbing Skywarp by his pede before yanking the other towards him. He snatches the squirmy seeker by the waist and holds him tight in his lap.
“Nooo! Let me go Star!” The purple seeker tries to claw himself out, reaching for the blankets. Thundercracker moves to stop him, effectively sandwiching Skywarp between him and Starscream.
Pouting, Skywarp finally goes limp and looks between the two of them with a heavy exvent. “You guys suck.”
“Your wings are dirty and your hinges are creaking, let Star clean them.” Thundercracker rolls his optics, his servos resting on Starscream’s thighs to keep Skywarp steady. The captive only continues to pout before yelping when he feels Starscream nip at his hinges and he attempts to whirl around and smack at him. Thundercracker holds him steady.
Using his fangs, the trine leader works to gently remove any beginnings of rust, licking the hinges afterwards to provide a protective layer from the elements. Skywarp squirms the entire time, complaining about the ticklish feeling surging through his wires.
Thundercracker only laughs at his suffering and once it’s over the purple seeker lunges at him, devolving into a pile of brawling frames. From the side Starscream shakes his helm, yet the smile on his face never disappears.
Before they know it, Skywarp is suddenly thrown back into their plush little nest. The trine leader nearly yelps when Thundercracker moves back over, pinning them both underneath his heavier frame.
“Thunder! You are much too heavy for this mechling behavior!” Starscream practically shouts, attempting to push the other off as Skywarp resigns to his fate(dramatically feigning his death as well).
“Nope, consider yourselves in timeout.” The cobalt seeker rumbles, taking a moment to get comfortable as he stretches over their laps.
“Skywarp was the one misbehaving!”
“You tried to kill Megatron today!” Skywarp unhelpfully chimes.
“I did not! He should be paying attention to his surroundings, a real leader expects an attack from every angle.” He flinches when Thundercracker brings a servo up to wave it in his face.
“Shut up, be a good pillow and be quiet.”
“What in the-“
“Pillows don’t talk, Starscream.” Thundercracker interrupts, nuzzling his helm further into his trine leader. The red seeker only exvents in annoyance before poking the other’s chassis while Skywarp sneakily seems to be doing something to Thundercracker’s pede in the background.
“You’re lucky I sympathize with you.”
“You’re lucky I warned Megatron about your incoming friendly fire.”
“…Touchee but you reek. Invalid response therefore.”
“I know, char and burnt rubber, happens with the boom. What, are you going to run me an oil bath?”
“In your dreams, I just don’t want your stench sticking to me.” Starscream just barely finishes his sentence before Thundercracker moves to yank Starscream to his chassis.
“I’ll show you stench!”
Starscream can’t stop his laughter, “Ew no! Let me go, you roughian!” He scrambles as he attempts to pull away from Thundercracker. Skywarp, despite whatever his action may have been, cheers on the new brawl.
“Get his aft Star!”
“Why are you cheering for him?!”
“Because I’m the better of us Thunder!” Starscream cackles.
They continue to wrestle, both of them having much more nightly energy than Skywarp could ever dream of.
The brawl somehow ends up on the floor, Skywarp watching from the edge of the bed, arms dangling off the side. Eventually it ends with Starscream shoving Thundercracker’s helm in the floor, declaring righteous victory up until the cobalt seeker pokes him in the vent.
Starscream yelps and immediately scrambles back into the nest. “Cheap shot!”
“Look at you two, nice bursts of energy!” Skywarp chuckles as he looks between the two, “You seemed pumped TC.”
“He got to kick Drag Strip’s aft today, of course he’s rowdy.”
“I love putting that glitch down, it’s the best feeling in the world.” Thundercracker’s wings twitch upwards with pride, a grin appearing on his expression as he slowly stands up. “You should’ve seen his ugly face Warp.”
“Ah yes, the only time TC is excited,” Skywarp declares wistfully, “is after he’s kicked another mech’s aft.”
“Raised to be prim and proper, born to be a menace.” Starscream chimes sweetly in response.
“I plead guilty on all charges.” Bowing, the cobalt seeker then notices something on the side of his leg and upon further investigation narrows his optics at Skywarp. “Care to explain why there’s a drawing on my leg?”
“I was feeling creative, come on. Work with me?”
“Last time we let you paint on us you snuck in a vulgarity.” Starscream prods at Skywarp’s side plating, smirking when the other squeaks and writhes away.
“It’s your fault for trusting me.” Skywarp responds with a grin, sticking out his glossa only to yelp when Thundercracker flicks him between the optics.
The cobalt seeker flops back into the nest, exventing when Starscream moves to lay against him. “Mm, keep talking like that and you won’t get another chance.”
“Ugh fine, I’ll be good! Now scoot!”
Skywarp nudges Thundercracker a bit to slip underneath his fanned out wings and Starscream watches with amusement as he struggles a bit to do so, Thundercracker purposely making it difficult for him. After a moment of struggle, Skywarp lays comfortably under the other’s wing, arms stretched out as he rests his helm against one of the pillows.
Starscream barely manages to keep his small smile from growing wide before he to moves to get comfortable. Rounding the pair he settles in front of them, Thundercracker moving to stretch an arm over his back, just shy of his wing hinges. The cobalt seeker pulls him closer to rest his chin comfortably on Starscream’s shoulder. The trine leader’s wings slightly cover Thundercracker’s arm and the rest of Skywarp, making sure both of them are somewhat hidden away.
“You smell.”
“Shut up Skywarp.”

Transformers Story Arc 1 by Daniel Warren Johnson: Wrestling, Guts, and Heart
Tumblr media
As a big Transformers Fan, this was made with so much love that it is almost incomprehensible to put into words. Daniel Warren Johnson created a masterpiece that broke walls, not just setting a record for beating both Marvel and DC as one of the highest grossing comic books at the time, but also for making a story that was true to the franchise. Optimus' compassion was a big part of it, the way he interacts with Sparkplug and Spike showcased the true spirit of the leader of the Autobots (Also cheers to him for being a space dad). Cliffjumper taking the spotlight as the Kid-Appeal character and making friends with Carly, having difficulties with her then at the end making peace with her really brought home what was needed because I personally believe that CJ is more deserving to get the spotlight, since Bumblebee has been hogging it for almost 20 years. The Decepticons were done great with Starscream, Soundwave and Shockwave taking the reins as the main antagonists replacing Megatron. Overall this Arc was literally a 10/10, I dare anybody to say otherwise and I'm so looking forward to the future of the series.

So the vehicons on the nemesis absolutely have movie nights. Old cybertron movies and earth ones to they single-handedly keep like 20 pirating websites online just by them selves because they can’t pay for subscription services. Either that or soundwave hacked some rich a-holes bank account just to give them all access to all the streaming platforms and high command takes advantage of this. I can just imagine that starscream puts on true crime as background noise as he plots. Knockout and breakdown watch rue Paul’s drag race and project runway. Megatron watches battle bots and pro wrestling when he feels nostalgic. Soundwave watches nature documentaries with laser beak. Soundwave is also invited to all movie nights the vehicons have so are knockout and breakdown. After breakdown is killed the vehicons drag knockout to movie nights and he is put in the middle of the mandatory cuddle pile. Soundwave approves of these actions (the cuddle piles where the way he got over the deaths of the other cassettes) and lurks at the edges of the movie nights.

Cute Tfa -earth bound and abandoned- Megop things:
•Optimus is finding he somehow prefers Blitzwing and Lugnut’s company to Megatron’s obnoxious aft a lot of the time
•Optimus has zero self-preservation when it comes to pissing off Megatron, and will question and interrogate and push him at every opportunity
•Optimus refers to Megatron’s romantic-ness as a ‘character flaw’
•Subsequently, Optimus (stiff as a board and impossible to make swoon over nonsense poetry and daring acts of romanticism that could get Megatron killed) is rarely moved by Megatron’s theatrics, and more so prefers the aftermath of a pouty, disappointed Megatron when his attempts fail
•Starscream thinks this is hilarious and tries to befriend the Autobot for future overthrowing reasons (Optimus is too loyal though)
•Optimus thinks of Megatron as ‘just a mech under all that armor’ (because he’s seen him and his legendary status crumble by his own hand) and is becoming steadily more convinced he isn’t the disease immune, wholly uncrushable, worlds eating powerhouse he actually is
•This leads to opportunities to thrust his personal, overly-cautious parameters upon him (one’s that should never apply to gladiatorial warlords) and embarrasses Megatron further when he shouts at him to ‘follow the carefully constructed safety procedures’ he has in place for all his crew mates. (Newsflash little Prime…)
•(this is Optimus’ love language, Megatron eventually realizes)
•Optimus will yell about Megatron’s PTSD in front of his own army to get him to go see Ratchet for a checkup, but this stops working when Megatron’s troops speak openly about PTSD like it’s all part of the Standard Decepticon Experience and is totally an ok thing to ignore
•Megatron will bring up Optimus’ own PTSD and further ruin his hypocritical attempts to control his lover into better mental health and a happier lifestyle
•Optimus can drink him under the table, but only because he’s built a high tolerance to drinking absolute tasteless, garbage, Academy booze and Megatron would never
•Optimus can not act normal when Megatron does the Hip Touching Thing ™ on him
•(At any given moment, Megatron will grasp one of Op’s hips by sheer subconscious impulse, hauling him close to his side. Then fails to connect it with the wild, biting attitude Optimus exhibits towards him in response)
•(Boy is flustered and confused about liking soft touches from a person he can’t believe genuinely likes him, even tho he’s his literal boyfriend) (and Megatron’s a possessive, touchy romantic so that’s nice) (definitely nobody ever gets hurt)
•Optimus nitpicked Megatron’s idea of a first date despite secretly loving it (because snarky ass Megatron can’t be allowed to have nice things)
Then accidentally cried later in the date when things got too real and ruined the evening probably
———
•Megatron thinks a lot about stepping on Optimus when they argue
•Thankfully he does not and simply dies instead- or usually just runs off in a huff to do something questionably ethical to soothe his nerves ‘til he can continue arguing with the righteous little sass machine. Feeding the endless cycle of ‘reasons that Optimus yells at Megatron’
•Megatron has been scratched in the face before while Optimus was wrestling his sword away after threatening a human, and Optimus never apologized for it, and Megatron won’t stop bringing it up
•Megatron does more insidious things than he usually would to be on the other end of Optimus’ ceaseless fussing. (He is clingy and attention seeking in the worst way possible)
•Megatron will not let him be a big spoon. Ever.
•Megatron also has zero self-preservation about pissing Prime off
•In retaliation to most of his sassing, Megatron will freely advertise what a masochist Optimus is for liking how nasty and awful his boyfriend is in front of anyone willing to listen. This includes Sumdac
•Megatron frequently steals Op’s axe to make unauthorized adjustments to it
•Megatron doesn’t get jealous of anything or anyone, because if he ever wanted something, he would just pull himself up and make it so. Take what he deserves.
…..But then Optimus happened to him, and now he feels threatened by his own reflection trying to eye up the pretty little firetruck
•Megatron has incinerated all damning evidence that he’s been writing sonnets just about Op’s audial fins
•Megatron will threaten Prime with hand holding in front of his subordinates (an unspeakable sin in stuffy ass Optimus’ rulebook of things good leaders should avoid: showing feelings)
•Megatron chickened out during the first kiss, because Prime fed him a random compliment, and Megatron can only handle brainwashed pontificating, not genuine adoration
•He had the audacity to blame it on Prime’s siren going off and startling them both, though
•These two do not respect each other, but they are somehow down bad
•This changes when they find their way off Earth and Megatron has more room to prove he can prioritize Optimus’ needs to his own ‘I must be a bastard today’ addiction

Megastar?
And if you're up for it... Megatron/Elite Trine, with Megatron as the carrier?
These two idiots don't know jack shit about raising a baby, but they're trying. God damn it, they're trying so hard. This feels like G1 to me, idk why. It's a G1 kind of night. You'll never convince me that G1 Megastar aren't the biggest switches. They fight snd spar and wrestle for dominance, winner gets to top, and the other one is so charged up from being manhandled they practically break the berth every night. A sparkling was never planned and by the time they realize they're going to be parents, it's too late to consider termination
Megatron is the one who ends up sparked, and while he never, ever thought being a carrier would ever be possible... he doesn't hate the idea. He really doesn't want to raise his child in the midst of wartime, but trapped on earth he doesn't have the means to put them into cryostasis when they're born. So instead, he pledges to do the best he can: so long as he's alive, no slagsucking autobot or uppity high and mighty civilian will ever put their servos on his child. This sparkling will grow up with every freedom he didn't have, they can be whatever they want to be and no one will ever speak a work of functionist pitslag to them. They'll never be anyone's property, they'll never be branded and forced to toil ceaselessly for the sake of slavedriving overlords. He won't even force them to take over his throne if they don't want to: he's not planning to kick the bucket anytime soon anyway, and he'll only retire when he's dead. If his sparkling wants to be a teacher, they cab. If they want to be an author, they can. If they want to be a sharpshooter or a spy or a general or one of his high commanders, they can. That's the finest gift he can give them, he thinks: the freedom of choice. Starscream begrudgingly agrees, as the child isn't going to be a seeker and so he can't prepare them as a future Winglord. They're not perfect and are in fact fucking crazy, but they do want the best for their little spark.
When the baby is born, they have Megatron's original alt mode, surprising no one as it was a singleton pregnancy. They're his gunmetal gray and Starscream's flashy red, truly a beautiful sparkling. Megatron is so proud, and almost nostalgic of the past: he sees so much of himself in them, full of potential but born free of Cybertron's confines. He can't wait to see what they'll become. Starscream shares the sentiment, and it's the first thing they've truly agreed on in so, so long. They're dysfunctional as hell but they both love their sparkling.
When the baby is born, Megatron is back to work within 3 days. He slows down for nothing and no one, not even birth. He's back on his throne commanding the decepticons with the newspark suckling from his pouches, Starscream for once proudly posted at his side. The seeker is walking on air, showing off to the entire airforce that he sired the first sparkling born in 4 million years. Very rarely is one of them alone with the bitty, just because their jobs overlap so much, but when they are? Starscream baby talks the little one. Coos at them about how handsome and smart and perfect they are, what a wondrous perfect little baby! Bitty eats it up, and he relishes in the way they giggle and wave their tiny servos at him. Megatron is quiet most of the time he's with them, content just to watch them babble senselessly and slowly learn about the world. At night though, every night before putdown, he whispers a solemn oath to them. "I promise to always protect you, to always be here for you, to always support you and be proud of you. I promise you a future where you're free and happy, and I promise to always stand beside you. I promise that as long as I live, no one will ever hurt you, and I promise, as l live, you'll never suffer needlessly." and he means every word. Their future is indescribably precious, it's priceless, and he'll fight with all that he has to make sure it's preserved. They won't walk the same path of misery as so many decepticons before them, and he'll tear the world apart a thousand times to guarantee that.

New York Comic Con 2023 and the Energon Universe panel is in the books
And while the room wasn't COMPLETELY full, there was a big crowd for said Energon Universe panel. Daniel Warren Johnson, Robert Kirkman, Joshua Williamson, and others came to the panel to announce that their plan involved making all these disparate parts work together as a series, including Void Rivals, which Kirkman specifically said was aiming to feel like it could have been a sister line with the Joes and Transformers (and considering Hasbro owns the property, probably means if it is successful they'll get toys of their own).
Some highlights and spoilers -
Daniel Warren Johnson knows people are upset at Bumblebee dying and frankly, does not care. "I feed on your tears", was his quote, which got a big laugh. Specifically, he didn't want to draw Bumblebee, hence his death in Issue 1, a death that he and Kirkman have confirmed will stick and Hasbro was totally cool with. With Bee dead, the panel concluded that there's more freedom to work with other characters and a lot more tension about who will live and who will die, since plot armor due to Hasbro demands is not a thing in the Energon Universe.
There was a big focus on GI Joe and how it will connect with the Transformers since the idea is that the Transformers' appearance causes the world to shift in a major way. The Duke miniseries will focus on how a traumatized Duke deals with the fallout of his fight with Starscream in the upcoming Transformers #2, and how Joe is founded specifically to combat them. Rebranding the Joes as an anti-alien strike force/international crisis team also seems to be a way to deal with getting away from the "jingoistic army toys" stigma that hasn't played as well since the Reagan years (even if most Joe fiction like Larry Hama's comics condemn blind jingoism). Interestingly, the initial lineup includes the Baroness, who's traditionally a high-ranking Cobra member and romantically entangled with Destro.
Tumblr media
3. Cobra meanwhile is shown to be what is specifically described as a horror comic about Cobra Commander using the discovery of the Cybertronians to fuel his plans for world domination, and how Cobra Commander brings together a lot of disparate elements that otherwise would never have worked together to join his quest for world domination. More fuel is thrown on the "Cobra Commander's Luger is actually Megatron" fire, but of course, nothing is confirmed.
Tumblr media
Another surprise for the initial lineup is the big guy in the back is Mercer, a character introduced in the GI Joe movie as an ex-Cobra officer who had "seen the light". Whether he does this time is another matter.
4. Back to the Transformers. The running idea (besides a minor but notable undercurrent of "Screw IDW") was that this is using the cartoons as gospel rather than the comics, but it will eventually expand beyond that initial concept using other characters. Specifically, during a quick Q&A at the end, someone asked about the Japanese characters, and Kirkman said while he had no immediate plans for them, he was actually a big fan of Star Saber, while Johnson mentioned liking the Japanese openings. A far cry from IDW making them all villains and losers.
5. Johnson is a big fan of wrestling. Kirkman, not so much. This led to some funny banter on stage about Johnson's tendency to fill fight scenes from the initial script (which will often just say "Character A and Character B fight") with wrestling moves like Optimus Prime introducing himself to Starscream with a Rainmaker Lariat before giving him a German Suplex. Despite Kirkman not being a fan, everyone on stage and the crowd seemed to agree that it gave the fight scenes a dynamic look that is new to the Transformers.
6. Void Rivals has not been forgotten in all this. While after Issue #6 it will be taking a five-month break, the series will continue to serve as the backbone of what's going out outside of Earth.
Tumblr media
Including the teased appearance of the Quintesson Judge. Kirkman also promised more backstory, like possibly getting to see the Skuxxoid's family and other species that are part of the cartoon lore as part of his efforts to build out the universe while still making Void Rivals its own thing that is engaging without the other series.
7 The main goal of everyone is that while all the various series are part of a big story that is the Energon Universe, the reader can read just one and get a full experience. That being said, it's clear that the ultimate goal is for them all to work together.
And those are the highlights of the panel. Fun times are ahead if you're a Transformers fan, and after years of mismanagement and neglect, it sounds like the GI Joe-related stuff will be very interesting to see. Still, the focus right now is the comics, so my pie-in-the-sky theory about this being a dry run for a big animated show in the vein of Invincible will have to wait for another year.

Was watching some g1 clips as u do & thought to myself hmm OP seems to use cool wrestling moves on meg wich gave me an idea wich is..
Drum rolls..
HUMANFORMERS WRESTLING AU!
Ik this sounds silly but think of any tf charac storyline,& guaranteed it gonna work perfectly in a professional wrestling setting:
Obvs Optimus would be the legendary fighter w/ the record of winning multiple championships in a row,w/ an raggs to riches backstory.all in all a hero inside & outside of the ring, inspiring a lot of new gen of wrestlers stars among em the fast bumblebee & his hardned partner cliffjumper.
but every hero needs a nemesis & that would be MEGATRON! THE DOMINATOR.THE DESTROYER.just an equally legendary wrestler who first started as a fighter in illegal underground rings but still carried his fearsome presense to the big tournaments leaving a trail of humiliated, defeated opponents.
the only fighter that megs had publicly shown any semblence of friendship is the enigmatic soundwave, who never show his face once or spoken apart from 4 famous words in the entirety of his career, but somehow still gaining huge popularity among fans.
Another insanely popular wrestler would be ofc starscream, just a big mouthed & stylish egotistical but he knows he can back up most of his shit w/ impressive attacks on air that got him the nickname "seeker".i said most cuz megatron always make sure starscream eat his shit talkings in the ring.

Synopsis: With the Ark having reawakened Megatron and his Decepticons, it seems as though nothing can spoil the Decepticon leader's moment of triumph as he levels his fusion cannon at the still-dormant Optimus Prime… but he didn't bargain on the T-800! Although his first shotgun blast simply bounces off his enemy's armor, Megatron's bemused overconfidence gives the Terminator—armed with superhuman aim and extensive knowledge of Cybertronian weak points—an opening to take out his left optic with one well-placed shot! Wounded and furious, Megatron orders Starscream and Soundwave to destroy the intruder. The Terminator's unwilling companion Sarah Connor weighs her options and decides to make a run for it before the aliens notice her, but Soundwave detects her presence and dispatches Ravage to eliminate her.
Soundwave and Starscream struggle to pin down the smaller and more maneuverable T-800, but Megatron's chief concern is getting his fellow Decepticons back online, using Teletraan I's restorative beam to repair and reactivate the remaining Decepticons before eliminating the stasis locked-Autobots. In the meantime, the Terminator withstands Soundwave's sonic blasts and Skywarp's lasers, then returns fire by hefting a discarded Cybertronian weapon off the ground and using it to send the purple Seeker flying. Ravage pursues Sarah Connor as the human clambers up a nearby cable and the chase takes them onto Teletraan's console. Ravage's pounce knocks the computer's scanner so that the repair beam intended for Skrapnel hits Optimus instead; as Starscream and Soundwave try to pin down the Terminator, they're caught off-guard when the revitalized Autobot leader promptly catches the two by surprise and sends them both sprawling! The Decepticons promptly break off their attack on the Terminator and turn their attention to Prime; correctly deducing that there might be two factions at play here, Sarah turns the Ark's repair systems on another robot who sports Optimus Prime's symbol… and, a few seconds later, Bumblebee joins the fight!
A panicked Starscream assumes that all the Autobots are coming back to life and orders a retreat. Despite his low opinion of the air commander, Megatron sees wisdom in Starscream's words, and orders his Decepticons to fall back as he blasts a hole in the side of the ship and flies off. The explosion leaves Prime and Bumblebee shaken but unhurt… but Prime, dismayed, notes the collateral damage has killed many Autobots and left more badly injured. Optimus thanks his strange rescuer for intervening, but the Terminator, now reduced to his metal endoskeleton, informs the pair that they too must be terminated!
The Terminator lands a shot on Optimus before Bumblebee wrestles him to the ground, but all three of the robots stop in their tracks when Sarah intervenes, and points out that, as far as she can tell, the Terminator's aggression makes him the real menace. An intrigued Optimus helps her down from the console while mulling over the prospect of sentient organics. Sarah demands an explanation of the Terminator's mission and whether she should simply let the two bigger machines destroy him. The Terminator finally admits the course that history takes from this point: after the Mount St. Hilary eruption awakens the Cybertronians, Megatron's war against humanity will prompt the people of Earth to form Skywatch, an anti-Transformer taskforce, and develop the Skynet supercomputer network to coordinate armies of man-made Terminator robots. But, despite Skynet's efforts, the war will end with total Cybertronian victory, the complete conquest of Earth… and mankind's extinction. Skynet only survives by feigning surrender and secretly constructing a time machine to retroactively win the war, but the Terminator's explanation deliberately omits the other part of his time-travelling mission—to ensure the creation of Skynet.
Although Bumblebee's unmoved, Optimus mulls over the implications of this story. In the Terminator's future, he eventually concludes, he and the Autobots must have died today, or else they surely would've stood up against Megatron's tyranny. Thus, the Terminator's interference has already altered the timeline; if that's true, Prime concludes, then they still have a chance to work together, prevent this dire future from ever coming to pass, and ensure the freedom of all sentient beings on Earth—biological or mechanical. With Sarah's encouragement, the Terminator weighs his options and then, reluctantly, accepts Prime's truce. The strange alliance ratified, Optimus asks for Sarah's help with reviving more Autobots; Sarah accepts, if he'll take her home afterwards… but when the Autobot leader assumes his new alternate mode, based on the truck that the Terminator hijacked to get them to Oregon in the first place, the reminder causes her to turn down the free ride.
On Oregon's west coast, the Decepticons regroup at a beach, where Starscream explains that their mysterious attacker was a cleverly-disguised machine, not one of the planet's native organic sentients. The fragile humans should give them no trouble, and Starscream illustrates this point by casually annihilating a nearby group of beachgoers. Pleased at the prospect of easy conquest, Megatron turns his attention to Refraktor and the Insecticons as they return from scouting the surrounding area for energy. Bombshell reports that they've found a suitable power source to fuel their invasion: a nearby robotics laboratory that he suspects might be connected to their mechanical foe. The Decepticons eagerly lay siege to the lab, unaware of the building's portentous position in history… the Cyberdyne Systems factory!

Good afternoon!
I'm the anon who mentioned the tfa megatron x starscream x Optimus fanart and was wondering what kind of chaotic plot you would put into it?
I can only put together a skeleton of the plot:
1-It would be before starscream had a fragment of all spark in his head and, consequently, no clones
2-Heat cycle, they didn't expect optimus to appear let alone respond to it
3-Multiple Sparklings, because the three of them were like cyber bunnies
Doesn't he get the Allspark fragment quite fairly early on in the series (as in, while Megatron is still a head?), So the idea would take some ~workshopping~
I need to create a bingo card for our aus because we're always finding new circumstances to get our mecha pregnant because yes of course! A heat cycle!
As well as multipled because yes yes of course (I like to imagine the sparklings are also wayyyy little because that's adorable as fuck)
Based on what information you've provided for me, you have not specified whether it was Megatron or Starscream in heat. So I'm gonna say both, and they were arguing (among other things) when Optimus found them. Now I'm gonna go for the sort of "pusg and pull" style of dynamic for them because that's fun.
But also because that is the ultimate state for Optimus, who up until rather recently with the events of the pilot had thought the decepticons were all gone and even afterward still held that image of "fucking Big Bad Scary Decepticons who want to Kill Us All". Seeing them wrestle with their panels open arguing about how the other should be the top instead broke that facade of the infamous and nigh legendary warriors.
If anything will improve tfa autobot and decepticon relations it will be this chance occurrence
(I like to think all three parties pretended to forget about it, until. Well. Yeah. My godddddd how would they handle this. Is Optimus sneaking out at night to answer the comm for updates or what)

Found a couple of Soundwaves in the charity shop today!!! 14cm and 8.5cm
Long story below cut
This old lady in the shop was trying to wrestle with their joints to get them to sit down on the display shelf and was being very vocal about it. She called them transformers, and I suddenly had giant eyes activated and found myself near her asking too see them. AND THEY WERE ACTUALLY TRANSFORMERS!!!!
She knew because she knows Bumblebee's name and he was there. I was so happy that she even knew one of their names and I asked to look in the box.
The poor things were all bent funny, some transformed, some half transformed, I had to look at each one individually because it was just a box of shapes (even though I saw a couple faces looking up at me)
I recognised:
Bumblebee (Bumblebee live action movie version)
A vehicon from tfp (they made toys of those?!?!!)
Megatron, but I don't know which series
tfp SOUNDWAVE <3333333 (with removable lazerbeak)
Some kind of Optimus that was all curled up in vehicle mode and upside down
Some kind of one eyed, one-arm-is-a-gun Shockwave, and I had to reassure the woman that that's how he looks
I knew they were all transformers toys because even the ones I didn't recognise had the alliegance stickers on them. You'll be pleased to know Decepticons outnumbered Autobots 5 to 1. >:¬)
The shop woman said she was trying her hardest, but some that she couldn't make sense of had ended up in the bin. SO OF COURSE I ASKED TO SEE THOSE. I was like what if MY FAVOURITES ACCIDENTALLY ENDED UP IN THE BIN !!!!
My friend who was with me, who hasn't watched any series, but who listens to me infodump about Transformers (and in turn I listen to her infodump about chinese danmei yaoi fantasy novels) SAID THAT THE BIN IS WHERE STARSCREAM BELONGS ;_____; NOT MY FAV!!!!
(The bin was clean btw)
Anyway, I rescued a second smaller Soundwave (also prime) from the stuff that came from the bin. I didn't recognise anyone else from the bin but they were all in unsellable condition, and there was also a bunch of unrelated weapon toys in there as well. Normal guns used by normal human soldier toys, toys who were also 14cm tall, and for a transformer to wield them they would have to be pretty big guns.... or prety small transformers......
So now I have two soundwaves added to my collection. The taller one is very noticeably used, stickers peeling off a little, too stiff to transform, worn, etc but still very loved. MY DECEPTICON ARMY GROWS!!!!!!!

TBH I was surprised when people kept saying that the skybound comic is really violent when IDW has a lot more gore and deaths, I don't even really read the IDW comics but from the panels and pages I sometimes see on Twitter and Tumblr its way more brutal in there especially in MTMTE and most body horror fanarts are from idw1 fans.
The only explanation I can think of why people see it as more violent is because DWJ's art has a somewhat messy style (where as most of the artist from idw have a more sleek and clean artstyle) and the bombastic fight choreography, to which no offense to the IDW artist cause I really love their art but comparing the fight scene between the two comics and its just obvious DWJ just have more experience in drawing and writing fight scenes.
Honestly and truly! There is so much body horror in IDW1! MTMTE has Ratchet as a head and spine! A Duobot is stuck halfway in a wall and *is still alive*! There are multiple scenes where a character's brain is exiting their body *through their mouth*! Getaway collecting spines/memory cores! Actual fan favorite character Chromedome frequently lobotomizes living people!
And, of course, we have Last Stand of the Wreckers that I read once and will never read again. Not because I think it's bad, but because it's so violent and mean-spirited that I do not feel well after reading it--not in a tummy way, but "my heart feels heavy" way.
Also the Kup spotlight that's a zombie story. Did not enjoy it as I was expecting a story that highlighted something important about Kup rather than a zombie survival story that happened to feature Kup.
That's just off the top of my head. IDW1 is rife with violence and gore and will not hesitate to show every second.
DWJ does such a good job with fight choreography! The fight scenes are so enjoyable and clear! The fact he's obviously a pro-wrestling fan and has clearly practiced drawing the moves really elevates the scenes! DWJ has also been more "artsy" and dramatic about the violence, note every time we see Starscream kill a human. It's the impact more than anything else.
I do see that as a pretty good explanation for why people *feel* like Skybound has been more violent when it really hasn't been. Like, we've finished issue 4 and the known death toll is still in the single digits.
Another is that IDW1 is in the rear view, so people are remembering what they liked from it, rather than remembering what it really was. IDW1 has been put on a pedestal, despite being just as flawed as every other continuity out there. (Prime example: the Lost Light's double ending that ruins every thinkpiece about Megatron's "redemption" because it turns out there's another version of him escaping all the consequences because JRo wants to have his cake and eat it too.)
The TFEU is not the most violent entry to the franchise nor is anywhere close to the top three. It's just new with a different art style with the key creator being very good at drawing dynamic and exciting fight scenes. (A new artist is joining the Transformers team. Don't know much about him, but I hope he keeps up the good work!)
