why didn't head faculty vile had like a test as a teacher for potential shadowsan replacements. Like, yes you're gonna be head faculty with lots of perks but. you also gonna need to teach students, trouble making ones at it. they should have a test whether or not they make good teachers to teach future criminals. I mean. Imagine if our candidates got that teacher test and its just teaching a class of their special skills for one week with one of the faculty supervising the class.

Honestly this seems so interesting. There are probably different avenues that you could take with their dynamics with V.I.L.E Operatives such as Mechanic or Cookie.

I think about the alternate universes where a different faculty member found Carmen as a baby and subsequently betrayed VILE for her constantly. How the team dynamic would change. How they’d grow as characters. The shenanigans they’d get into

Hey Zari who are all the agents there at acme? I only know afew of them…

Hello! Let me give you the rundown (under the cut because there are a lot of us)

Chief: Our head honcho. You probably know her. She runs everything. Founded ACME. Usually a hologram. The works!

Agent Zari: Higher ranking agent, she's been around as long as anyone can remember. Very serious unless cracking the dumbest pun you've ever heard. She usually trains new agents and is partnered with Agent Bronson if she isn't training someone.

Agent Argent: Depending on when, sometimes our agent. She's smart and analytical, if a bit of a dreamer. Everyone knows about her thing for Carmen Sandiego except her. She partnered with Zari when training and now partners with Devineaux.

Agent Devineaux: Number one car wrecker, but gets the job done! Sometimes. He looks before he leaps, but if he leaps right, he leaps RIGHT. Again partnered with Zari when training and then Argent afterwards.

Ivy: [OOC: We pretend she's here if it's relevant but most of the time Team Red has her LOL. Same with Zack] One of our newer agents who specializes more in mechanics (fixing the cars Devineaux wrecks or our drones or pens) than field work, but can get a job done like nobody's business if asked. She's technically partnered with Zack but might stay at base while he works in a bigger group so it's more of a formal pairing.

Zack: The other newer agent who turns out to have the exact same sense of humor as Chief. They get along like a house on fire. Not to mention he's got a shockingly good brain for strategy and picks up new languages like nobody's business. He's become seriously good. Again partnered with Ivy but works in groups better.

Agent Bronson*: Affectionately referred to as Jawline by me. He was Zari's partner before Devineaux and Argent came along. He doesn't talk much, but he's very competent and serious.

Agent Dobson*: Our good natured guy in the tech seat. He looks over monitoring suspects and things. He avoids the field as much as he's able to because he tends to freeze up, but you can see him on those huge operations where we need a lot of field agents because we pull like everyone. He sometimes works with Rodriquez but is usually solo.

Agent Rodriguez*: Another one of our best in the field. She helps a lot with hands-on investigations, taking suspects into custody, etc. She partners with either Dobson or Sokolov depending on the work. She's very pretty 🥺

Agent Morgenstern*: Another great field agent, if a bit impulsive. She loves to talk and act. I actually think her and Devineaux would get along great. Or maybe hate each other. Anyway she and Jacobson are partners.

Agent Sokolov*: I cannot for the life of me find a great picture of him. Sorry, Agent Sokolov. Unfortunately the pictures are only about to get worse. He works with Rodriguez, usually, on field stuff.

Agent Jacobson: Also can't find a good picture of her but she was on the Stockholm job. Another field agent and I have not if I'm honest met her very much so I don't have much to say. Sad. Partners with Morgenstern.

Agent Lombardi*: Obviously camera shy because THIS IS THE WORST PICTURE YET. He's got red hair if you ever see him you'll know. Especially because he likes to crack jokes all the time. He and Zack look similar almost until you hear them talk (Zack is from Boston and you can hear it. Lombardi is from Spain). He was assigned to the Mumbai job if any of you are familiar. He actually usually like flies our helicopters and stuff as backup which is why you may not see him usually.

Agent Anderson: Our resident crime scene photographer. I also again can't find a good picture to save my life when she had blonde hair. She after all is usually the one taking them, not having them taken. That last picture is also her she just dyed her hair because everyone kept mistaking her for Zari from behind LOL. She usually works solo as she's usually for crime scenes, not field.

Agent Williams-Green: Another field agent I confess I have not met much. She was on the VILE HQ bust. She's partnered with Agent Silva.

Agent Silva: Williams-Green's partner. Again I can't say I've met them much but they do exist LOL.

I'm sorry Carmen Sandiego fandom for this one

So basically Dr. Bellum decides to take matters into her own hands and creates a poison(with Lady Dokuso's help) to finally stop Carmen Sandiego. However, it goes wrong and it ends up making some kind of virus. There's no cure either, so they're all fucked. I'm not exactly good at horror so basically just imagine them as Dandys World twisteds but worse.

PERSONALITY:

Lupin is extremely goofy and doesn't take much seriously. She likes cracking jokes, even to the police! She thinks taunting them is funny but takes any arrests like a champ (mostly because she manages to get out!). She enjoys leaving notes and doodles behind at the sites of her heists. Humor, however, tends to be a huge defense mechanism for her and has a habit of pretending things are fine when they really aren't.

However, Lupin is an incredibly soft-hearted person. She's a hopeless romantic times ten and tends to get crushes easily. That being said, she does like to woo people and flirt. She'd never cheat, though, that'd just break her heart.

Does thievery for, well, the obvious reasons, but also because she loves a good challenge and chase. If it's not obvious, she's a thrill seeker. Despite her devil-may-care attitude, she's really a brilliant mind with a strong imagination.

Even if she's a thief, she has a strong sense of justice and fights injustice. She's even gone so far to foil the crimes of worse criminals. Lupin never steals from those in poverty, only seeming to target the wealthy and well-off. They can take the loss! She'd never harm a woman or child, however, even if the object in her sights is something really special. She stays away from murder and even helps those who are less fortunate.

Besides racing, she enjoys fishing, nightclubbing, gambling, playing pool, watching TV, and travelling. She really enjoys eating international cuisine and wine but also enjoys tea and coffee. She smokes on occasion, and she prefers the French brand of cigarettes Gitanes.

HISTORY:

Currently known as one of the world's most notable and notorious thieves, Lupin III is under the watch of the likes of Interpol and other government agencies. Likened to a Carmen Sandiego figure, her heists are big and bold, going from banks to museums to mansions alike. If she can steal it, she'll sure try!

Known for her use of gadgetry (some of which she invented/built herself!), she's quite a hard catch. However, she's not perfect, having been imprisoned many times. The real catch? She's hard to stay caught! She's escaped as many times as she's arrested.

Despite some witnesses stating she's died at least twice; Lupin is still somehow kicking. This is due to a mysterious amulet she'd plundered from a museum one day, giving her nine lives. Maybe the love Egyptians had for cats ruled in her favor! The amulet ended up back in the exhibit, but Lupin was alive and well despite losing her steal. She's on life number 3, lending itself to her name: Lupin the Third. She thinks third time's a charm, and maybe it is!

Unfortunately, with such infamy comes copycats. Lupin's been framed for grievous crimes, those of which she'd had to track down the perpetrators for. She prefers to clear her name herself, 'cause the legal system sure won't!

MISCELLANEOUS FACTS:

Lupin took her alias from the great fictional thief Arsene Lupin! She doesn't tend to use her real name unless she knows she can trust you. It also makes her harder to track! Good luck catching an Arsene Lupin the Third, suckers!

For when she has to do some serious undercover work, Lupin has a feminine persona named Ayumi. She often wears red and has short, blonde, and curly hair.

Lupin has a very notable laugh, ehehe!

Three is Lupin's lucky number! Things that happen in threes is a good omen to her.

She seems to have a lot of strengths? SO WHAT'S HER WEAKNESSES? Women, mischief, and extreme curiosity.

Since it's been going around, how would various pulp heroes take on the Death Note murders, and would they survive the ordeal?

A couple of clarifications:

There is a possibility that Ogon Bat, who is a "God of Justice", is either already some kind of shinigami, or at least able to speak with and interact with Ryuk just fine.

The Golden Amazon and Emilia the Ragdoll could definitely kick Kira's ass and solve the case, but they absolutely should not be aware of the existence of the Death Note, that would just make things worse.

You'd think The Monarch / The Blue Morpho getting his hands on the Death Note would be an equally apocalyptic scenario but I don't think he'd even know what to do with it. He very clearly just wants to get one guy, and became the Blue Morpho so he could kill everyone standing in the way of getting that guy, and he's very clearly been putting off killing that one guy for years now. The Death Note is the solution to a problem he defines his life around trying and failing to solve. He'd be stumped.

Doc Savage, well on one hand of course he would solve the case, he's Doc Savage, if Kira was in a Doc Savage story the whole Shinigami business would have been smoke and mirrors perpetrated by criminals with access to a heart attack inducing machine with a perfectly logical explanation. On the other hand, Doc Savage is one of the only guys in here who is globally famous with his full name and face on the papers, so realistically Kira would nail him very quickly. I'm gonna split the difference by saying Doc would solve the case either way.

Nick Carter does most of the things Doc Savage does except he actually does regularly encounter weird fantastical kitchen sink bullshit on the regular, so I think he'd have a much easier time wrapping his head around the Death Note's particulars.

The Spider would not intuit the mechanics of the Death Note, he probably would not be aware of there even being a thing as a Death Note, but by the end of the story in the last paragraph he would have killed Kira one way or another, very possibly by accident. Same goes for the sword-n-sorcery characters featured there, they would have gotten their kills by the end of it (Spear would probably have the easiest time, he's just a caveman with a giant tyrannosaurus on his side and neither of them have names Light can use to kill them, he's fucked)

Six-Gun Gorilla does have a name that Light could use, but A: He would never find out, B: He would never think a gorilla would be his undoing, and C: There's a decent chance Ryuk would let the gorilla hunt and kill him because it's funny and so would be handing Six-Gun Gorilla the Death Note.

Nyctalope would probably survive Kira's usual method of execution given his heart is artificial, but I don't think he'd be able to crack the case, he's not much of a detective. A lot of these characters were chosen because they have different skillsets that don't make them as suited for uncovering this case regardless of how smart they are.

There is a decent chance that Hugo Danner would figure out Kira by complete accident, and most likely beg Light to find a way to kill him.

Nick and Nora Charles would not solve it but they'd be okay, the case would probably solve itself and they'd laugh it off.

I could also put Blue Morpho, El Sombra, The Whisperer, Black Bat and Hugo Danner in a "Would somehow make the situation worse" category.

She often gets mistaken for a rabbit instead of a hare {tigress calls her rabbit intentionally} and this annoys her deeply.

She loves playing games, even if other participants are unwilling, often accidentally annoying the faculty.

She has tritranopia {type of colour-blind-ness} and has only told Dr. Bellum and Countess Cleo.

Her hair is 'dyed' because of a mishap in the labs with Dr. Bellum.

She's the {not really helpfull} assistant to Roundabout and Bishop, mainly just there to talk to more so than filing.

She can't read very well, often Roundabout would read with her, and she's very self conscious of this.

She hates tigress and often starts arguments with her. She also doesn't like the mechanic for less personal reasons.

She has a combined adhd and needs a lot of help to stay on track due to her fear of taking medication.

Collects and names bugs and once showed cleo them, much to Cleo's horror.

She's extremely fast and surprisingly strong, especially through kicking. {Like a hare.}

She's Irish. {Like me! :D}

A lot of her trauma was from her previous home, where she saw a lot, but I'll make a separate post if ye want to hear that.
