Nicktoons: Fractureverse

An idea based on FusionFall.

The Mawgu somehow returns, seeking revenge on the nine (technically eleven but for some reason Cosmo and Wanda don’t count as separate from Timmy for the purposes of the prophecy) Chosen Heroes who defeated him on Volcano Island. To that end, he tears the space-time continuum asunder, linking their worlds and many others (so every Nickelodeon universe I can think of) with unstable portals called Fractures, and then exploits the ensuing chaos to stage an invasion. He manages to do a lot of damage, most notably conquering Bikini Bottom and transforming it into his new base of operations, causing Fairy World to crash-land in the desert just outside of Retroville (it’s still mostly intact but it’s stuck on the ground afterwards), and stealing about 40% of the Irken Empire, but is met with resistance far sooner than he anticipated.

It turns out that Jimmy was aware of the possibility of the Mawgu escaping and had been working on countermeasures, creating weapons specifically designed to destroy his ooze’s unique chemical makeup and sap the energy his true self consists of. They’re not enough to defeat him outright, not yet, but for now they’re enough to turn this into a war instead of a slaughter. It also helps that the Mawgu’s powers don’t work well on machines (and that he doesn’t really understand them, though the Irkens now under his control do mitigate that somewhat), and that he’s somehow developed a weakness to weaponized ectoplasm. By contrast, his presence (and probably the whole shattering spacetime thing) now severely weakens Fairy magic, hence the quite literal Fall of Fairy World.

A war as unconventional as this requires an unconventional army, and one is formed by the various heroes and altruistic oddballs of the newly dubbed Fractureverse, as well as their allies, a handful of their enemies who can see the writing on the wall, and anyone else willing to step up and help. They call it the United Dimensional Defense Force, or UDDF, and its main headquarters is in a newly built part of Dimmsdale called Dry Atlantis, which is where most of the Bikini Bottom refugees are staying. As you’d expect, the actual Nicktoons team (particularly the Chosen Nine) end up as key players in the war, with Timmy in particular somehow ending up as the leader of the entire UDDF.

And then, of course there’s the villains. While a few of them either joined the UDDF or are still acting on their own, most of them have joined the Syndicate. However, there’s been a divide there. The New Syndicate, led by Plankton, have decided to put aside their antagonism for now and cooperate with the UDDF while remaining a mostly independent faction, seeing the Mawgu as a greater threat to their plans (and lives) than the heroes could ever be. The much smaller Old Syndicate, led by Professor Calamitous, were unwilling and/or unable to curb their ego and ambition, and are trying to exploit the war for their own ends. Interestingly, despite the name, Calamitous is the only one of the four founding members of the original Evil Syndicate to be part of the Old Syndicate, with Crocker serving as Plankton’s head of R&D and Vlad being too busy as the mayor of one of the Mawgu’s biggest targets to join anyone, though he has been financially and politically supporting the UDDF, and supplying the NS with his ghost research and knockoff Fenton Tech. Also the GIW isn’t working with anybody since the NS and UDDF have ghosts on staff and aren’t even remotely willing to hand them over, the OS is literally a war profiteering criminal organization, and they’re too Xenophobic and patriotic to even entertain the idea of betraying earth and siding with the Mawgu, which is good for them considering they’d either get turned into puppets or just destroyed. The Irken Empire isn’t getting involved (aside from a few individuals like Zim, Tak and Skoodge) despite the heavy loss they were dealt because Red and Purple, as per usual, don’t give a shit.

The Mawgu Saga

Jimmy/Timmy Power Hour

Timmy Turner wishes to go to the greatest lab in the universe for his science fair. The greatest lab in the universe just happens to be in Retroville, Jimmy Neutron's lab, but Jimmy accidentally teleports himself into Dimmsdale. Now the two are stranded in each other's worlds. Now Timmy must shut down Goddard, which Timmy is responsible for uploading a destructive video game into, before he destroys Retroville. Meanwhile, Jimmy must stop Mr. Crocker from taking over Fairy World.

Jimmy/Timmy Power Hour 2: When Nerds Collide

Jimmy and Timmy fight over Cindy, while also attempting to save Dimmsdale from the Anti-Fairies and Retroville from Professor Calamitous. For the first time, Jimmy end up in Dimmsdale with his friends, and Timmy end up in Retroville with his fairies.

Nicktoons Unite!

Professor Calamitous joins forces with Plankton, Mr. Crocker, and Vlad Plasmius to form an Evil Syndicate. They start stealing energy from their respective worlds in order to power a Doomsday Device to blow up the multiverse. To counter this, Jimmy Neutron recruits SpongeBob SquarePants, Timmy Turner (who is of course accompanied by Cosmo and Wanda), and Danny Phantom to help him venture into their worlds to stop the villains.

Nicktoons: Battle for Volcano Island

SpongeBob, Timmy, and Danny reunite, accompanied by co-stars Patrick, Sandy, and Sam Manson, having been chosen by a Wise Old Crab to save Volcano Island from the evil interdimensional monster named the Mawgu. Jimmy notably sits this one out and communicates with the heroes behind the scenes. Oh, and Squidward and Tucker are also there.

Nicktoons: Heroes United

A several months after the events of "The Battle for Volcano Island", an evil interdimensional monster, the Mawgu returns after escaping the void and ready to take revenge on the Chosen Ones. It is up to Danny Phantom, Spongebob Squarepants, Jimmy Neutron and Timmy Turner (with Cosmo and Wanda) to join up forces with heroes from other worlds Jenny Wakeman (XJ-9), Avatar Korra, and El Tigre, to stop the Mawgu.

Hello Kristen, in your Nicktoon High story, regarding The Mawgu and Globulous Maximus, have you thought of introducing them as other rival villain groups, who compete with the Evil Syndicate against one another on who will rule everything.

Yes I plan to have them be villains against both the United and Syndicate. Kind of the enemy of my enemy sort of deal. But it won't be for a while.

In regards to United, were there any scrapped ideas?

Sorry for the late reply! ^^U

This is an interesting question and I’ll divide this answer into two parts: chapter endings, and character considered.

Chapter endings

So far, each chapter ended differently from the original idea.

- Chapter one: This would have ended more explosively with Danny using his ghostly wail to counter Mawgu’s lighting attack, this would have caused the explosion that sent them to different worlds.

- Chapter two: Originally Jenny would have fought the Space Bikers who, through a sneak attack, almost took Jenny down before Danny decided to step in, after this battle Danny would have explained who he was and the situation with Mawgu. After some thought, it didn’t feel right for Jenny to be saved by Danny from an enemy from her world, and neither Danny to just tell her about his identity. So, I changed it.

- Chapter three: This chapter turned out completely different from how I first imagined it. To start Jimmy and Bob would have tried to steal from the radio shop and SB’s would have made a bubble show as a distraction, this would have attracted Korra’s attention (this is actually where the scene of Korra messing with SB’s bubbles came from). And the conflict didn’t involve Mawgu’s mosquito, but a car chase where Korra tried to stop the boys from using an artifact to harvest the spirit energy. Looking back at this chapter I think I would have preferred to use some of these ideas.

Character selection

I’ll put this under the ‘Keep reading’ since these could be considered spoilers.

For the most part, I already knew which character I wanted to include in my story, but there were three that were considered for a while before I changed my mind.

1) Tak: At one point I considered including a character that I knew nothing about and Tak was the one I had in mind. I didn’t know much about him but he seemed like a chill guy, but in the end I didn’t connect with this character and I decided to not include him.

2) Aang: Of course, I considered including the most well-known avatar in the team, but for reasons that I explained in a previous ask I choose Korra.

3) Poof: Now this is an interesting case. Poof is a character that almost made it to the story, mainly because I had a very important plot-point involving him and Timmy. However, I realized that Poof wouldn’t have much purpose in the story until that point (which would be in the very late chapters), so sadly he didn’t make it in.

There were a couple of more scrapped ideas, but they didn’t feel interesting enough to include here.

Nicktoons Unite!: Good to Bad Role swap AU

Have you guys ever heard of an AU of Nicktoons Unite where the Syndicate are Good Guys and the Nicktoons are the Bad guys.

Of course we have your already typical evil Nicktoons with Jimmy Negatron, Evil Danny, Nega Timmy, and abrasive SpongeBob.

But we never hear of the Syndicate are Good guys.

Calamitous would be a very successful scientist with a full head of hair and completed inventions using his Science to help others instead of taking over the world.

Vlad would be a more caring Mayor who learns from his mistakes in the past and moves from Maddie letting his hair down and not so formal, he looks more like his human self when he turns into a ghost just like Danny Phantom.

Mr. Crocker is a really laidback Teacher with long hair and sunglasses he’s more of a hipster who likes to take a guitar to School and sing songs about Fairies to his Students instead of capturing them.

As for Plankton he manages a successful restaurant and likes to spend his free time with his big robot wife instead of trying to steal a formula, true his restaurant may not be as successful as the Krusty Krab but he is happy with the life he has give our free food to the less unfortunate.

However there is a downside to this AU everything the good Nicktoons has succeeded in their Universe the Bad ones has also leading to constant failure for the good Syndicate what with their age and lack of what the good Nicktoons have.

The Bad Nicktoons take over Volcano Island completely after killing the Mawgu and enslaved all the residennce on it.

The good syndicate try so hard to reach out to those kids feeling they are somehow responsible for their evil doings.

She wants to believe the young sponge, she really does but there’s a sinking feeling in the pit of her stomach. This island was still infested with Mawgu and even though Spongebob had proven himself pretty capable she could not  allow him out of her sight. 

The two of them had been separated from the others for the last few days and there was a strange force from the island as of late that had been interfering with her magic so to simply teleport to Timmy and the other’s location was out of the question. 

For the meantime she had to ensure that the fry cook didn’t get himself hurt.  ❛ I’d prefer it if you’d just let me come with you. We can both look for your friends together. Two is better than one right? ❜ She is determined to talk some sense into him.

Fractureverse Thing: It takes a little over a year for Timmy's parents to find out that he's the leader of the UDDF, despite the fact that it's very much public knowledge (seriously, he's regularly mentioned on the news)... and the fact that he's straight-up told them multiple times.

By contrast, Hugh and Judy Neutron are fully aware from the start about Jimmy's role in the war against the Mawgu, and as long as he stays as safe as he can (this includes having Goddard with him at all times) and remembers to check in with them they're mostly okay with him staying in Dimmsdale since that's where his skills are most needed, and Jack and Maddie straight-up joined the UDDF alongside Danny.
