This is a PSA. Hikaru no Go (2020) is now available to stream on Prime Video. You should watch it.

But Caity, you may ask. Why should I watch this Chinese live action drama based on the popular turn-of-the-millenium Japanese manga and anime of the same name? The answer, my friends, is because it is fucking phenomenal.

Hikaru no Go is my favorite sports anime. It was one of the first manga I ever read. When I own a home someday and have bookshelves, it is one of the only manga series I wish to own in its entirety in print. The story is deeply compelling, moving, funny, relatable. It truly has something I haven't found in another animanga in twenty years.

And the Chinese live action adaptation takes that perfect, beautiful source material and creates something equally perfect and beautiful (if not more so? feels blasphemous to say, but boy howdy I'm not NOT saying it).

The way in which the original Japanese story—the characters, the culture, the game of go—is translated into Chinese is really masterfully executed. The story is incredibly faithful to the original, and when it does differ, it does so in really creative, thoughtful ways that really work.

The actors fucking nail it. Honestly all of them, but I'm looking at the kids in the first two episodes in particular. Blown away by the performances of a couple of ten-year-olds. Kids have a bright future ahead of them, damn.

This show has the budget. If y'all know me at all, you know I'll enjoy a low-budget wuxia flick because it's a good time, but damn, if I had standards, they would be met and exceeded by this show. The hair, the makeup, the costumes, the effects (there is an effect every time the "ghost" is on screen where he is partially translucent. It is perfectly executed and incredibly impressive, at least to my layman eyes). The very first opening credits scene is super beautiful, the end credits are beautiful, it's all just so pretty and polished and feels good on my eye holes.

Honestly, I cannot gush enough about this show. It ranks up with Nirvana in Fire in my heart (which I do not say lightly, considering I went through my entire list and lowered the ratings I'd given each show accordingly after I first watched nif so that the 10 weighed more heavily).

tl;dr: If you liked the hikago animanga, you should watch this show. If you never read/watched hikago, you should watch this show. If you did not like hikago, you should watch this show. Please watch this show, I am begging you.

satoru’s a little (read: huge) nerd. his bookshelves are filled with lectures and studies about physics and math theories, documentations of all kinds of natural sciences, he keeps up to date with everything in the field and even peeked into biographies of big science people

despite satoru and suguru being very cat-coded, shoko is actually more of a dog person (how does she put up with them? we’ll never know)

nobara regularly uses megumi and yuuji to test out her new nail polishes. she’d wipe it off for them after but at some point neither of them cared anymore so the boys just run around with colourful nails some times

when we see sukuna eat popcorn and drink soda during his fight with mahoraga, it’s because he saw yuuji eat/drink all those things while he was in satoru’s basement. he got curious and wanted to try himself but we saw how that ended

an addition to the hc above, sukuna also has forgotten the flavours and textures of all kinds of foods. modern era foods would really mess with his taste buds because heian period food wasn’t particularly known to be as flavourful as it is today + they didn’t really use oil back then. sukuna would certainly be insanely overwhelmed if given a modern meal

this is not really a headcanon but also not canon because gege never specified it: only cursed spirits can see sukuna’s tattoos. there’s several indications in both manga and anime that humans & shamans alike cannot see the tattoos (correct me if i’m wrong) but in season 2 jogo’s inner monologue proves that he can see them. i’d like to think it must be because he’s a cursed spirit, which means all cursed spirits (or high ranked ones) are able to see the marks

when satoru held yuuji in that basement for two months, yuuji taught him how to cook because “sensei, you’re an adult. how do you not know how to make tamagoyaki??? we can’t order takeout twice a day!” (yes yuuji, he can, he’s gojo fucking satoru, he has a black card and swims in money)

Katsuki Bakugou X Reader - Fluffy oneshot about cuddling

My very first fanfic, so I'm open to constructive criticism! here goes nothing.

"come here"

It was a text from Katsuki. That was odd, seeing as it was rather late for him. You yourself were just about to settle down for the night, switching off the lights in your dorm room and shimmying under the covers, only to get the text as you plugged your phone in. You texted him back, responding with "why?" 

The little dots signifying typing popped up, staying for a few seconds, disappearing, reappearing, and then leaving again. Finally, after what felt like ages but was really less than a minute, he simply typed back, "Because." How eloquent. It made you wonder what he really wanted to say and why he didn't want to tell you.

You lay there for a moment, contemplating whether or not to get up. It was a rare experience to have Katsuki ask for your presence so openly, but on the other hand…your bed was warm, begging you to stay, coaxing you with the many blankets and pillows. You sighed, reaching for your phone and texting him back, "You come here."

The sass was almost palatable. You set your phone back down, snuggling up under the covers and waiting for it to ping with a response. What you didn't expect was some heavy stomping from the room across from yours, Katsuki's room, followed closely by his door swinging open, then yours. He was standing in your doorframe, scowling at you.

"When I say come here, it means come here, idiot." He towered over your bed, his arms crossed over his most worn nightshirt in the winter, a plain black short sleeve.

He kept stern eye contact for a moment, using it as a way to silently assert dominance. Finally, after a few seconds, he scowled harder and walked around your bed to you. It seems like you won; he was going to get in bed with you and stay there, adding to the warmth and allowing you peaceful slumber. At least, that's what you thought, which made it all the more surprising when he ripped away the blankets, scooped you up, and tossed you over his shoulder. "Wa- Katsuki! Put me down," you ordered, kicking your legs a little as he walked back to his room nonchalantly.

You loved his room, almost as much as you loved your own. It smelled like him, like musk and burnt caramel, and it was neat and tidy. manga series' (in full, he hates missing books) and educational works lined his bookshelves, his desk had pens and pencils in little cups with workbooks open to the homework this week, his closet had clothes and shoes hung and set neatly on their respective hangers and shelves, along with mountain climbing gear, and most importantly, his bed was pressed into the corner of the room, with grey sheets and a navy blue blanket and pillows. It used to be just the one pillow, but recently he bought a second one because of how often you spent the night. not that he told you about it, that was information you had to figure out yourself. There was a lot of that with Katsuki.

"Fine," he huffed, a twinge of amusement in his voice as he tossed you onto his bed like a ragdoll. He had that malicious smirk on his face and a glint of playfulness in his eyes. "You seem proud of yourself," you said pointedly, making yourself comfortable in his bed. At least it was warm, still heated from him lying in it. The thought made you a little giddy—the idea that you'd be snuggled up with your perfectly imperfect boyfriend for the rest of the night.

"So what if I am?" He got into bed, pushing you out of the center and towards the wall. He lay between you and the door, his back to the "exit" of the bed, as if he were both protecting you and keeping you from leaving.

"You shouldn't be, kidnapping me from my room," you pouted sarcastically back. He grumbled, pulling you into him so that you were spooning tight against one another, and immediately responded, "If you didn't want to be here, you wouldn't be." While technically true, he also didn't give much of a choice. There was a moment of silence, his breathing and yours slowing calmly, his face pressed into your neck. You could feel his breath from his nose fan across your collarbone, his lips against the more sensitive area of your neck.

"…Kat, why'd you wanna cuddle tonight?" It was a simple question, but one he wasn't expecting you to ask. He didn't have an answer for you, not one that he was willing to give, so he dodged the question almost entirely.

"Can't you just enjoy it," he grumbled, his thumb gently gliding back and forth against the back of your hand as he engulfed it with his. His other hand slid under you, wrapping around your waist and under your nightshirt, so he could feel your stomach. His hands were so calloused, given his quirk, but the texture was kind of nice.

You decided to drop it this time, mumbling "whatever," because you didn't have the energy to force information out of him. All you knew was that he needed you, that he felt your presence was necessary for him in that moment. Right then, in the silence of the room, moonlight dripping in past the curtains and illuminating so little, he mumbled back, "I love you," against your skin, almost hoping you didn't hear it.

A while ago, I stayed at a close friend’s house—she’s a huge Sims fan. I’d never played The Sims 4 before, but I wanted to recreate places from Holy Ground (my other fic), and I’m sharing them here.

I remembered this the other day because one of the places I recreated was Erwin’s chambers as a squad leader. I gave extra attention to this part because Levi, as a captain, has the same type of chambers as Erwin had before becoming a commander.

Here’s the description I included with the pictures:

Honestly, I was planning to keep it simple, but after diving into manga/anime and game references, I realized his office is way fancier than I expected. If the colors of the wood or sofas don’t match perfectly, blame the limited shade options in the game, not me! Also, I know the carpet in Erwin’s office is supposed to be red, but the game didn’t have a nice red carpet to work with, so I improvised. By the way, someone needs to send help to Erwin because, based on the pictures I saw, he has an absurd number of books scattered everywhere. I tried my best to recreate that chaotic vibe. There’s also a small stand for medals, which I couldn’t include because the game doesn’t have them, but I’m certain Erwin would have plenty. Most of the art in his office seems to be degrees, certificates, or blueprints of his formation strategies, which I incorporated as much as possible. As a commander, I imagine Erwin would eventually have a bigger office—something more spacious to accommodate meetings, a larger bedroom, and maybe even a small living or dining area. But since he’s still just a squad leader in Holy Ground, his office isn’t quite that impressive… yet. Oh, and about the chair in his bedroom—yeah, there weren’t better options in the game, so just roll with it. In his personal space (like his bedroom), I imagine Erwin would allow himself a little more freedom with colors—maybe purples and greens, which I think he prefers over the red theme of his office. It’s a subtle way of showing a more relaxed side of him.

The general layout is the same as Levi’s chambers in Mounting Spring, so let me give you a quick walkthrough of “the place Levi keeps you locked up in.”

The basic setup includes an attached bathroom and bedroom. However, unlike Erwin, Levi’s space has not a single paper out of place—everything feels almost sterile. He owns significantly less furniture than Erwin too. For instance:

The chess table in the office? Gone.

Wall decorations? Gone.

In the bedroom, Levi would keep only the essentials: a dresser, a nightstand, the bed, a mirror, and maybe an additional wardrobe. He wouldn’t bother with an armchair or a second desk.

As for the bathroom, most of the furniture probably came with the space, but Levi keeps it mostly empty. The two bookshelves near the door? He wouldn’t have those either.

The remaining furniture—the sofas, coffee table, chairs in front of the desk, the desk itself, the bookshelves, the chimney, and the small table near the desk with fresh water—those would stay.

In the manga, Erwin’s chambers are shown to be overflowing with books. Levi, on the other hand, wouldn’t have a single thing lying on the floor. Most decorations would also be absent.

Levi’s approach to minimalism reflects his practicality. He has the same mindset as my mom: “The more objects in a house, the longer the cleaning session.” He hates clutter because it makes him think of all the dust that could accumulate.

And there you have it—Levi’s “home sweet home,” lmao.

I was sprinting down a more deserted hallway of a shopping mall, giggling softly to myself. Rin and I had been shopping, before I decided to run off. Where? Who knows. "Y/N?!" I heard Rin call out from behind me, I could hear his shoes against the marble floor. I held my mouth with one of my hands, trying to stifle a laugh.

I quickly ran up the stairs to the second floor, running into a bookstore, It was big, and there were bookshelves all over, If he did come in and saw me, I could easily loose him again because of the set-up of the store. I slowed down and tried to even out my breathing, before going near the middle, where there was a manga section. I shrugged my shoulders and picked one up to look at it. Maybe when this was all over I could buy some with Rin. I sat down in a chair nearby and read one named Madoka Magica. I read for a bit before hearing my phone ring, glancing at the contact name I saw it was Rin and smiled. I rejected it.

After a few minutes I had gotten up, having gotten bored if the book store. Leaving quickly. I decided to walk for now, saving my breath for if I saw him going after me. How I managed to out run a demon is amazing.

Oh boy.

We got a lot to unpack.

We start with when we last finished off in episode 6.

Eva properly gets to speak with her father Madagaskan while the others are right behind her, listening intently to them.

AND MY GOD THE EXPOSITION WAS SO GOOD.

(Good for us, not for Eva tho lol)

The fact that she and Cleophee come from the most infamous assassin’s guild is WILD. You’re telling me that its members are so good at what they do that the rulers of the world buy their offers as fast as possible cuz they’re scared that the guild could ruin them if they go to the opposite team?? That just SCREAMS how important and secretive they are!! (plus we also saw a glimpse of what one of them, freaking Madagaskan, was able to do with just rocks). But it does explain why Eva has such a good eye for combat. I can also see where Cleophee takes her hair from too. From what Madagaskan has said about Eva personally, she looks identical to her mother. (I already headcanon that Cleophee took her looks from her dad instead 🥰).

But what surprised me even more was Flopin’s decision to follow Madagaskan. Not only did he want to get taught by him, but he willingly SNEAKED OUT OF THE DAMN HOUSE to go to him!

Also, can I just say how nice it is to see what Elely and Flopin’s bedrooms looked like? I love how we got a good shot of each of their rooms, it completely encapsulates their personalities and how opposite they are to each other!

Just look at how Flopin’s room looks very organized, his books are properly in their places on the bookshelves, and the amount of papers he has. Even his bed was made and you can see how he has a map of the World of Twelve plastered on the wall just on top of his desk.

Whereas with Elely, her room is completely messy, pillows and clothes are lying around the floor on the left side of the room, her bed is not made, she has a giant tapestry on her wall, some boxing equipment like her gloves and a punching bag (which she drew Poo on it lol that’s a nice detail).

But Flopin did have a point when he talked to his grandpa. We all knew he was a loser cuz Elely and Pin were doing their own thing. I mean do you remember how exhausting it was to keep seeing Elely having so much spotlight back in season 3? My girl is awesome and all but let her breathe for a second damn.

I’m glad Flopin chose that route for himself even though it was a bit of a surprise to see him want to follow Madagaskan now.

Ngl he lists out very valid points that even we were thinking about. It just shows that Flopin is very much self-aware of his position in the family and how this makes him look. I had a feeling Flopin would have his own arc but I didn’t think he’d separate himself from his family to have one! Good for him tho but still…

This means he won’t see Elely for a long time and Pin wouldn’t get to know him as much as the rest of the Percedal family….

But at least he’ll have his grandpa 😭😭

I just really loved the exposition on Nora’s part where she revealed to Yugo, Adamaï, and Qilby why and how she came to rescue their mother. The colors and the style of it all were so gorgeous and mesmerizing to stare at and it made so much sense. I also noticed how in her explanation, Nora mentioned that it was Efrim who had a special connection to the Eliatrope goddess instead of her like how it was revealed to be the case in the Wakfu volume 4 manga and the Islands of wakfu game. I assumed that Ankama retconned that tiny detail too.

I just love how realistic all the rulers’ answers have been so far. They’re all skeptical of Yugo and his family and I don’t blame them for thinking like that. It doesn’t matter how kind and helpful Yugo can be to them. As Aurora said, everything about this is too coincidental which is how Armand concluded that there could be a traitor in Yugo’s group. Again, I don’t blame him for saying that since he just got told by Yugo that the portals from the Sadida kingdom and Albuera have a portal, leading to the necrome world, that looks a lot like an eliatrope one.

And of course, Yugo doesn’t hesitate to blame Qilby and already jumps to conclusions way too fast, immediately thinking he’s the traitor since he knows he’s the type to hop from planet to planet, not caring what happens to the places he went to just as long as he got to study them.

But if Yugo actually took a second to process the information, he would know that there was clearly something wrong with his accusation. Because how and where would Qilby have the energy and especially the time for all that? Yugo is completely aware that Qilby got freed by their mother and Nora not a very long time ago. If I had to assume when he was freed, I’d have to say just a bit earlier when Yugo and the others were still in Oropo’s dimension.

Not only that, but since he got freed not too long ago AND was being carefully monitored by Nora, then there was no chance he could have been the traitor. He just got out of the White Dimension (again) so he’d be drained of energy and didn’t have the eliatrope dofus and the Eliacube.

But a very important thing to note here is that Qilby was also joining Nora and the small eliatropes on the missions his mother would send them in which clearly implies that he’s not done with this world yet (he could have been participating only because he was looking for the eliatrope dofus at the time when Adamaï didn’t find them first but if that was the case, then he wouldn’t have stayed and help to fend off against the necromes since he doesn’t like it when other beings pursue him and his people without, ironically, knowing where they are).

With all these in mind, it's safe to say that Yugo’s anger towards Qilby is based on personal issues.

Their fight in the sky was so well choreographed that I just loved every single second of it and how none of their poses were recycled 💖

Since I already took photos of the newest Miku on the bookshelf and I like seeing other people's (manga) bookshelves, I thought I'd take some of mine too.

The space situation with the bookshelf had been alright for a while, but we're back at needing some books to be placed horizontally again so something will have to move. I'm thinking that I probably should just free one shelf by moving half of the One Pieces in the back row; even though it really bothers me to not have them all easily accessible all the time, it's not like I regularly need a random volume of OP.

Then in the middle we have the prestige selves which have most of the "I think this is actually really good and reasonable in its length" titles. Or Houseki no Kuni is a bit of a mystery since I haven't read it yet. And these volumes are in Japanese (from my Tokyo trip) only because I was enticed by the glittery cover material, and since they don't have furigana it's questionable if I'll even be able to read them. So for now they're biding their time, and also likely candidates to get moved when I need more space. Aria is also problematic since I have the first half of the series in regular volumes and the rest in omnibus form, so they don't look nice together and currently only the omnibuses get to be here.

Then the Mikus are here too, with Snow bell Miku's big flower accessory acting as a hub for the bunny mascots. The Miku placement is determined by the fact that the higher shelf is above eye level when I'm sitting at my desk, so the miniskirt Mikus can't be on that because I don't want to look up their skirt whenever I turn my head.

Case Study of Vanitas is also something I haven't exactly read yet, or I read and caught up with it online a couple years ago and have now forgotten a lot about it. But I remember liking it a lot so I've been buying the volumes as they come out and they're just waiting for the right moment.

Then there's the Zelda Nendos, which will be accompanied by the corresponding totk Figmas once they come out. I'm a little worried because last time I ordered directly from GSC's website they used a courier which inexplicably sent the package to the other side of the world after it had already arrived here and was almost ready to be delivered.

Then at the bottom is the most weeb shelf since half of the books are in Japanese. Though most of them are just art books so it doesn't really matter.

Then in my bedroom I have a smaller shelf with the rest of the manga that didn't fit here, the DVDs and DS games, though I didn't take photos of it since the lightning was pretty bad. Most notably it has AoT, Kuroshitsuji and Trinity Blood, plus Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou and Emma which will probably get to move to the main shelf if I sacrifice one of One Piece's shelves.

AI Can't Be the Whole Solution for Manga

So this week I found out out a Japanese start-up called Orange, who wants to be the Netflix of manga by translating a lot of manga with new apps and tools for the world to fight against online piracy. And to do so, the company will use AI to machine translate all of their manga into English. They also received $20 million USD in funding (one of their investors is Shogakukan) for their goal. This company wants to release up to 500 titles a month at some point.

I honestly don't know how to feel about this.

I read a more in-depth report from Deb Aoki of ComicsBeat and Mangasplaining about this whole startup. There's a lot of tout given by Orange about how this will help the manga industry overseas. Terms like deep learning, accessible content, influencers, reducing cost of localization, etc. are thrown around. Orange already has done some work for Shueisha for some of its MangaPlus titles. While it's apparent that the North American market only gets a small fraction of the manga published in Japan, there's concerns over whether this endeavor will end well.

A good number of manga translators and editors in the North American localization scene have commented on how bad this can be. AI machine translation is far from perfect. While DeepL (a Japanese language translation app similar to Google Translate) is arguably better than Google Translate, there's still errors abound. AI machine translation doesn't seem to be at a stage where you can just show it off to the world and have it translate something like a research paper with context. And even if the translation was good, there still needs to be people to fix errors AI will miss and the jobs to fix those errors don't necessarily pay well since they're the equivalent of "data entry" jobs.

And speaking as someone who reads up on mental health news, AI is not good for picking up nuances and differences that can help people for the better. It's only good for standardizing universal treatments. AI can not be open to the vulnerabilities of other people. One recent story I read last year was about a eating disorder helpline that created a chatbot to help those with eating disorders and how it bombed. There were complaints about how the bot didn't address patients' concerns that they were feeling down or bad about their bodies. Even worse, the chatbot gave some horrible advice by telling people to follow behaviors that led to their eating disorders in the first place. The support staff was fired in favor of the chatbot and while the chatbot was taken down after the complaints, it still left a bad taste in my mouth because mental health problems can never be solved without the human element.

I see this with what's apparently going to happen with manga. I don't see this creating a better world for manga readers. I'm well aware that there are a few professional manga translators in the scene who aren't doing a good job, but I feel they're doing fine for the most part. There's a glaring issue though that most people aren't thinking about - the amount of content we have out there.

We're in a golden age of having so much catered to us that it's ridiculous. Anime, manga, webtoons, video games, board games, music, etc. There's a lot out there. And to have a Japanese startup proclaim that they want to put out up to 500 titles a month, who realistically has the time to read all of them? I wonder if that's the point of these ventures - beat down consumers with so much material to consume that they become apathetic to what's going on behind the scenes.

I do want people to read manga, but I don't want them to become so overwhelmed to the point of burnout and numbness. That's the last thing any manga fan should want. I'm already hearing complaints from my fellow manga peers about the amount of manga we're getting here. It's nice to see bookshelves and libraries filled with manga, but which titles are really being read?

I also think there seems to be no universal standard that EVERYONE can agree with regards to localization. You have the professional side that knows a lot due to being inside the industry, but can be hindered by the Japanese publishing side and pestered by fans who think they know better. And you have the fan side that thinks they know everything because of scanlations and miscellaneous fan translations.

If you're a professional, it's a rough job and I applaud all manga freelancers who do it. Sometimes, I may not agree with the localization choices. But I'm not going to raise a pitchfork and treat them like they're witches. I know a few of those folks in-person and see the human in them.

If you're a fan, you can't expect a very casual reader to understand Japanese terms being spoken out right off the bat. It takes a while to get used to those terms. I'll use myself as an example as a riichi mahjong player. I throw out terms like suji, kabe, mentanpin, ryanmen, etc. to my fellow players. However, if there's an absolute beginner I'm talking to, they will have no idea what the hell I'm talking about.

I know some fans are like "Whatever, understanding those terms make me stand out. Yeah, I'm different! Screw the normal world!" But that makes it sound like gatekeeping to a certain degree. It's fine to have that kind of knowledge, but binding it to the very fabric of your identity is not healthy when circumstances change.

Orange seems to want a universal standard for manga translation by incorporating a variety of people into their process, but the fact that people will only be involved AFTER the translation makes me skeptical and the company is being called out for some things on their website. Both professionals and consumers will be screwed here. AI is being pushed so hard by corporations because it can readily applied to real life jobs and regular people in many ways, compared to cryptocurrency/NFTs, which applies only to people with a crap ton of money to spend. I've seen instances of AI usage at the company I work at - some of it good, some of it bad.

But nothing will beat the will and heart of the people. I think that's what scares AI-promoting people. Turning us into total mindless consumers prevents us from being mindful people that want to do right by others. Sure, reading manga makes me happy. But I don't want to be the only one who's happy. I also want people to make informed choices about what to consume.

I also want some people to stop assuming that Japan is the most "anti-woke" country alive out of their rage against localization because it's totally not. Japan has problems and there's people living there speaking out against them. They're "woke" in their own way. I swear that almost everyone who thinks Japan is better than the West hasn't lived there at all and are basing things from a very filtered point of view. I actually feel sorry for them because their lives are just so focused on consuming without thinking for themselves - a perfect market for the AI-pushing crowd.

I'll finish by saying that this AI-powered manga translation venture needs to happen with the right kind of people already on the table through the whole process and where everyone benefits. Everything bad with AI, as far as I've seen, has left people behind with no compassion or empathy. Manga has taught the wonders of compassion and empathy for all and I don't see the Japanese business side of things preaching what their works speak.

Caregiver Fyodor + Non-Verbal Little

ִֶָ࣪☾. Sometimes the age that someone regresses to has no impact on if they’re non-verbal or not! Younger ages tend to be non-verbal yes. But someone can regress to a bigger age like 6-7 and still be non-verbal! And there’s nothing wrong with that! ദ്ദി(ᵔᗜᵔ) Sometimes words are just yucky. And a little one shouldn’t have to do yucky stuff!

ִֶָ࣪☾. I think initially Fyodor might be confused? If he asked his little one their age and they said they’re feeling bigger, and they’re acting like they’re in a bigger headspace, he’d expect them to be able to talk! Even if their pronunciation and grammar is far from perfect, he’d still expect words. But once he gets over that initial shock he’s all good! No judgement from him!

ִֶָ࣪☾. I think that Fyodor would almost obsessively try to figure out what each of the little noises means. He wants to communicate with his baby! That takes time though. Which means he’ll just talk to his little one a whole lot! While they’re watching a show, playing, coloring. He’ll just idly talk to them! He takes mental note of the noises made, the context, and what it could possibly mean! He likes knowing everything, especially about his little one

ִֶָ࣪☾. Once Fyodor figures out what most of the noises mean he’ll proudly make use of this information! He’ll constantly converse with his little one, he’ll ask about what they’re playing or drawing, what they think about the show they’re watching, everything! Anytime there’s a noise he doesn’t understand yet he’ll just calmly ask “What was that my dear?” Hopefully he’ll get a compliant baby and they’ll repeat the noise! Once again he’ll store away the important information!

ִֶָ࣪☾. During the time Fyodor is still learning what all the noises mean I don’t think he’d find alternative ways to communicate. Would that be easier? Probably. But these babbling noises are what his darling is most comfortable with. And how will he learn what they mean if they just find an alternative? If something is super important though he’ll try making it into a yes or no option so they can just shake or nod their head. Only as a necessity though!

ִֶָ࣪☾. Fyodor would never force them to actually talk. He doesn’t want to make them uncomfortable! If they’re not talking then they’re clearly uncomfortable talking for whatever reason. He doesn’t want to push them! That’s like making a baby grow up to fast, which is the literal opposite of what regression is supposed to be

ִֶָ࣪☾. I think that Fyodor would learn babble language really quickly! He’d very intelligent. His good memory can store away all the important information while he uses his intellect to make sense of it! With those skills combined together Fyodor would learn incredibly quickly. Wouldn’t take long at all before he’s at the stage of understanding his little one completely
