hot take but i think playing as characters you're not used to / playing characters in conflicting roles from what they're usually in is actually really fun. people can and should play however they want. i used a flutter with an extraction set and made it the further i've ever gotten on a solo run. was it not utilizing her best stats? sure, but also it was a fun challenge.

now i do think if you're joining public runs you should let people know what you're doing, but also i think it's none of people's concern if you wanna play a toon differently. i'd prefer an extractor pebble over a player that doesn't do anything. atleast they're giving themselves a challenge.

is anyone else really underwhelmed by the new Dandy's World update???

the designs feel very bland/lackluster, like they dont quite fit? they just seem very underwhelming and the colors dont really mesh well with the other toons and their palettes which may be very intentional!! and thats fine but it doesnt feel great for the time being?

looey being a common toon feels nice enough, it did feel like we only had so many but because of the clashing design and specifics to a circus, it feels like theyve taken a onetime background character and threw them in just cause rather than a "villain/character of the week" like shrimpo or cosmo

connie's abilities in general and as a twisted are just so, weak????? you hardly get to see her and her going to a finished machine and making it "fake" feels extremely unfinished idk about anyone else but i was hoping there would be a passive toon alongside twisted glisten or rnd

having connie instead drain the machines if a floor took too long, or even drain the inchor when a floor was finished to make the elevator door close faster! it would give more purpose to having extractors on a team and not such a high emphasis on distractors only, it would also give travel abilities way more use like goob's grab or tisha's speed boost

idk, im not sure anyone else feels this way but the update just feels very meh

and before anyone says, im very very aware that the game is still in alpha and many things are bound to change or be moved around

that being said, i really do hope they change because this entire update just doesnt feel very good or exciting </3333

now that i'm done freaking out about looey, i feel like he was kinda a late addition to the update-- i've gotten a weird glitch with his extracting animation a lot of times already and when he gets smaller his ears become noticeably detached from his head

i mean, his animatons are fucking amazing. hes super cute and animated, and looks legitimately like a cartoon character (similar to shrimpo's little bounce, but more smooth) but sometimes it does glitch a little lol
