Cute Kion and Fuli headcanon

Fuli's level of comfort with physical touch varies from day to day, and generally she prefers to be the one to initiate it. So any time that Kion wants to be physically affectionate with her, he touches his paw to hers. This lets her know Kion is asking if she's ok with more contact and lets her either initiate it, keep it at that level, or reject it.

More Royal Sibling Headcanons

Kiara calls Kion "baboon breath" in retaliation for calling her rhinoface. They call each other by those nicknames for the rest of their lives.

Kion will sit on her tail whenever he feels like bothering her. He first did it as an infant and giggled like crazy at her irritated expression.

Sometimes when Kion is angsting at his reflection in the water for the umpteenth time, Kiara will provoke him into a sparring match to get him to admit things he'd rather not. He doesn't admit it out loud but he actually appreciates the vent/sparring sessions.

When Kion is fully grown, he stops just short of Kiara's full height. This infuriates him to no end.

When after the newest Lion Guard has been trained by Kion and Vitani and when members of Kion's Lion Guard begin to pass on, he becomes more withdrawn, retreating to the jungle as he slowly begins to feel like he's no longer needed. (I hc he chooses to stay in the Pride Lands btw and not marry) Kiara's second born seeks him out and tries to talk to him but he won't. It takes intervention from Kiara and Nala's spirit for him to recognize that he's still needed, as an uncle, brother, and friend.

When they were younger cubs, Kiara and Kion snuck into Rafiki's paints and made a big mess. Simba is annoyed at first, until Kion accidentally smudges his mane with paint and then it devolves into a paint war with the two cubs tackling Simba and making him all colorful. When Nala and Rafiki happen upon them, Nala is mildly appalled but Rafiki just laughs and makes them pose for a portrait before they clean up.

I love Janja x Jasiri x Kion! I call them the Spotted Lion Polycule since Janja x Kion is called Spotted Lion. Much like Spotted Lion I think there's two different variations of this ship, one that develops in season 1 and one that develops after season 3. The season 3 variant is definitely the more straightforward one since Janja and Jasiri are already seemingly close at that point. I think that this ship happens in an alternate universe where Kion actually does give up the Roar in Lake of Reflection instead of learning everything it can do, which makes the journey back to the Pridelands take much longer. In my headcanons, Kion and Janja bond on the journey and this is the start of their friendship, so a longer journey lets them bond more. In the end, instead of going back to the Tree like in canon, Kion joins Janja and Jasiri in the Outlands and they all rule together. The season 1 variant is one I haven't thought about quite as much, but in that universe Kion would end up secretly dating both Janja and Jasiri, who at first only tolerate each other because of Kion but later grow to love each other. The rest of the Guard, when they find out, are confused but ultimately they decide to trust Kion's judgement and are supportive. Kiara as well, because she knows what it's like to have a forbidden friend. Simba, on the other hand, is definitely not.

Honestly I just like these three in general, I headcanon them as all being really close with each other after the show ends. And I wish there was more content of them in general, regardless of the type of relationship. Janja and Kion are actually much more alike than the show ever acknowledges(they're both leaders from young ages, both are trying to live up to expectations of what their species' are "supposed" to be, and both are raised to hate each other) but unfortunately Kion and Janja content isn't very common in my experience, especially if you're looking for content that isn't shipping. And Jasiri helps bridge the gap between them, she teaches them both that what they've been taught about hyenas is wrong.

TLDR; I like the Spotted Lion Polycule as both a ship and a close friend group, I think the three's dynamics and stories with each other are very interesting and they fascinate me.

I like it! I'm a big sucker for poly ships and rarely dislike them, this one is no exception. I've always liked Kion x Jasiri, pretty neutral/happy with Kion x Janja, but never much liked Janja x Jasiri personally. However, I feel like Kion having a hyena girlfriend and hyena boyfriend would be great. Besides, we need more poly representation and ships! So it's a good ship in my books.

Honestly im headcanon of fuli is she definitely was hopeless romantic but she often dreaming of meeting her prince charming, but she does enjoying being alone and she just wanted felt thrill of in love btw im projecting myself unto her because she was my baby girl and she had tendencies of having unrealistic and hopeful idea on love 😭😭😭

Polyamory solving love triangle drama for the win! The Spotted Lion Polycule came about because I started thinking about how interesting it would be from a story perspective if Kion, Janja, and Jasiri became a polycule, therefore making Kion, a King of the Outlands. Not to mention they're a royal lion from the Pridelands dating not just one, but two hyenas. So the idea definitely intrigued me. But another reason I love it is because I'm genuinely so sick of seeing Kion x Jasiri and Janja x Jasiri pitted against each other. Like I understand why this is, and I think there are good stories that involve this, but it gets pretty frustrating when I'm trying to look for cute Kion x Jasiri stories and inevitably have to deal with the other hyena in the room.

(Btw, you were actually right with your first thought, Kion's eye is closed)

How Kion x Janja ends up working here is that this is an au where Kion actually does give up the Roar in Lake of Reflection/Triumph of the Roar, which then causes the journey back to the Pridelands to take a much longer amount of time. As I said in this post, in my headcanons, Kion and Janja bond on the journey and this is the start of their friendship. So the general idea is that the longer journey in this au gives them more time to bond and this results in them developing feelings.

my idea for the circle of life

the pride lands predators only take what they and their families need to survive

leaders of herds are safe from the pride land’s predators as it would send the herds into chaos without their leaders

young ones are also not hunted

their also needs to be at least 20 to 30 members of the herd

they also only hunt sick injured or old

if their are no huntable animals they will hunt outside of the pride lands but will not hunt in someone else’s territory

the lion guard mainly protect the pride landers from outside predators but sometimes they need to remind the pride landers of the circle of life(like maku and the fish incident.)

they also help with grievances such as in the Mbali field’s migration

Listening to “Teke Ruka, Teleza” from “Bunga the Babysitter” where Bunga teaches a bunch of kids how to defend themselves and it’s kinda funny knowing I hc that Kenge does the same thing with the Outland kids. The difference between Bunga’s lesson and Kenge’s lesson is so amusing

Cuz Bunga’s lesson is super fun and lighthearted while teaching the kids a good strategy, as seen later in the episode. But his method is teaching them as if it’s a simple game

Meanwhile, in my hc, Kenge’s just like “I want you to take all your pent up anger and put all of it into fighting. ALL of it. Just go absolutely feral”. You know the song “Stick it to the man” from School of Rock? That’s how it goes

do you believe Janja is the offspring of Shenzi and Banzai?

Pretty much, yeah.

In many promos for The Lion Guard, Janja and his clan were noted to be descended from the hyenas of the original film so I already got the idea that they were in some way related, especially with the mirrors between Shenzi, Banzai, & Ed, and Janja, Cheezi, & Chungu.

I do wish the show actually utilized this backstory into the main plot, because it, and the original trio, get no reference or mention at all, especially in the Scar plot. But to each their own.

I personally believe that Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed were in a polyamorous relationship; Janja, Chungu, and Cheezi are all Shenzi's sons, but Janja is Banzai's, and Chungu and Cheezi are Ed's. It makes sense why A) Janja is the leader in a hyena clan with no girls in it, B) why Cheezi and Chungu are always hanging around him, and C) why Chungu and Cheezi deem Janja to be the only "family" they know.
