rewatching love sea and i've got some episode 1 mahasamut thoughts:
i'm so appreciative of how much we get to see of mahasamut being an important part of the island community in this episode. its character establishing/quick scenes but we see a consistent thread of kindness, gentle and good humoured interactions, and just overall helpfulness to others. you see him having fun with palm who is younger and clearly loves and respects mahasamut. you see how he knows and cares for different people in very personal ways.
another thing epsiode 1 does a good job of doing is establishing how intelligent mahasamut is both intellectually and emotionally.
he instantly clocks on that tongrak thinks the island/mahasamut is "beneath" him. tongrak is a jerk from the get go, acting as if his wealth (constantly referring to how expensive his suitcases are) allows him to treat mahasamut like crap. he assumes mahasamut can't speak/understand the central dialect and openly makes disparaging comments about his intelligence.
but rather than getting annoyed/offended, mahasamut weaponises the prejudice and leans into it to annoy tongrak. he doubles down on the Southern dialect (even after he reveals he can speak Central). when tongrak whines about not understanding him, mahasamut just repeats himself but slower (such a good allusion to when people yell at you slower and more loudly as if that will magically make you understand English better). he leans into the whole 'small town awed at the fair skin of the city boy' act (masterful depiction of someone weaponising the 'dumb country hick' stereotype).
mahasamut just has such a good handle on tongrak from the start and it really showcases how smart and intuitive he is; like he instinctively knows how to handle this feral cat of a human being that tongrak is (i say this with complete affection).
his handling of tongrak is so incredibly effective and it throws tongrak so off his game that he looses all cool and just blurts out how baffled he is by mahasamut's reactions to him. this tells us (and mahasamut) that not only is tongrak aware that he's being a jerk, he's doing it on purpose because this usually works to drive people away. but it doesn't and never will work on mahasamut and the show lays the foundations of this aspect of mahasamut's character right from the start.
but whilst mahasamut remains unfazed by tongrak's bitchiness (for lack of a better term), we also see that he is not going to be a pushover either (and i love that he never becomes that even after he falls in love; in this, mahasamut's character is wonderfully consistent). he isn't shy about calling out tongrak for his poor behaviour/rudeness. he specifically points out that tongrak's been acting like a spoiled pet (or child).
but also!! whilst all that is going on, mahasamut is also doing a really good job of taking care of tongrak. when he enters tongrak's room, he cleans up after the tornado of trash and beer bottles, puts away his clothes properly, then brings tongrak out to get some proper food in him (it's not his fault that tongrak only has a single lettuce leaf; he tried). mahasamut takes him out on the boat to relax him and give him inspiration for his novel. and when he realises that tongrak was genuinely scared and upset, mahasamut actually treats that with sincere care and concern, apologising and comforting him (in the novel, apparently tongrak slaps him and he still responds only with care and comfort). he's so incredibly gentle with tongrak here.
later in the series we see how much of their relationship development hinges on the the juxtaposition of words vs actions because neither of them put much stock by words (tongrak, because its the tools of his trade and he knows how they can be used to deceive; mahasamut because he never cares what people say about him) but episode 1 does a great job of establish just how good mahasamut is going to be at showing his love for tongrak once he gets there.
#love sea#love sea the series#love sea the series meta#mutrak#rakmut#tongrak x mahasamut#mahasamut#rewatching episode 1 again after watching the whole series makes me appreciate how many things were set up for call backs later#we get so much established about mahasamut and whilst i think i'll always wish we had MORE because i adore mahasamut#i'm grateful for how much episode 1 was about him and not really about tongrak that much#which is ok because most of the rest of the series is about tongrak#but we get to know mahasamut really well right at the start and it makes us love him all the more even when we don't have much else to go o#rambles about shows i'm watching#<my posts>

Happy Wednesday y'all. I have three longer projects I'm working on and having a blast with. The Fantasy AU is still one of them <3
There was something in the air between them, something between radio waves and aromatics that made TK draw closer and closer while they cooked. Something that seemed as magic to him as anything Carlos told him that night.
TK had put a piece of every single ingredient into his mouth while they prepped, his taste buds singing the tune of delight as the oregano unfolded its citrusy sharp notes. He moaned around it. “I get now what Rapunzel is about.”
Carlos huffed. “What?”
“The fairy tale? The reason the princess gets stuck in a tower was because her dad promised her for lettuce, right? I bet it was based on someone venturing into an Earth Elemental’s garden and experiencing what really good vegetables should taste like.” He took one more leaf and said around it, “No wonder they sold their child for it.”
It had felt ridiculous as soon as he said it, but Carlos’ lips curled up. “Then I’ve been getting this all wrong by not selling my herbs at the farmer’s market.”
“You’d have so many kids running around though.”
Carlos pulled a face. “I’m good with keeping the herbs to myself actually.”
TK laughed. “Tough luck, because even after we’ve found that demon, you won’t get rid of me. I will come over to steal some of your veggies and your time.”
“Promise?”
After only two days, it felt one look into his dark eyes and he’d know the very core of him. He’d seemed rather stoic but TK knew then that he meant the question and held it in the shape of hope. Something so soft and careful TK had wanted to give a whole speech on why he felt like it wasn’t the coming back that would pose the issue but the leaving.
“Of course,” TK said, and pressed a sorrel leaf onto his tongue instead of sealing it with a kiss. OPEN TAG

Hi!
I’m currently struggling to go to sleep the night before a big solo performance for a school event, so I figured I’d ask one of my favorite authors a couple things I’ve been wondering about. (Does flattery still work on people?)
So, I believe I remember you saying something along the lines of “people ask me why I write about weird sex magic. It’s because I read Greek mythology, and it has a lot of weird sex magic.” And I’m paraphrasing that horribly, but I was wondering, what things *have* you drawn inspiration from? I’m in love with the way magic is portrayed in both the Dreamblood books and the Broken Earth trilogy (I’ve yet to read the inheritance series), and I was wondering what inspiration you had? They feel kind of different to me—dreamseed and it’s counterparts seem really rooted in the four humors and the way some older mythos have a big fuss around the seed of gods and all that fun stuff, but the magic in Broken Earth feels a lot more . . . introspective, I guess? It seems like you’ve written it to be much more focused on the individual’s own perception of it, and that influences what they can do/how they do things. And I don’t really think I’ve seen anything that leans into that angle, as far as mythos goes. (Though I really, really cannot claim to be knowledgeable in that.)
And for the second thing: do you have any tips to becoming a good reader? I can read *fast*, but I really feel like I don’t get more than just the surface and shallow ideas about the message/themes the author might intend. It always seems like people are able to come up with very introspective, in depth dissections of their favorite characters and books, and I can’t help but look at those sometimes, and go, “wow, what was *I* reading?” I guess that it might be a learned skill, but I don’t really know where to start. I guess I also wanted to ask about what themes and such you wanted to incorporate into the Broken Earth trilogy (that was my introduction to you, then Dreamblood, then the Great Cities), but that’s really just a secondary thing to this question.
Well, regardless of whether or not you answer, I just wanted to ask so I could stop thinking about it constantly. I can’t wait to jump into the Inheritance Trilogy next time I buy books.
Flattery doesn't work on me, but I do love to talk shop, so... 😄 Cutting for length:
To your first question, about the different ways I depict magic -- first, it's not just Greek mythology that I use. There are soooo many cosmologies and cosmogonies out there that show gods as rowdy, horny, petty, and basically human, just with weird magic powers on top of that. The Dreamblood books are specifically informed by ancient Egyptian mythology and culture. I did some research into ancient Egyptian medical texts -- in particular the Edwin Smith Papyrus -- so I drew from those to create Gujaareh's four dream humors. I wanted Gujaareh to feel like an ancient Egypt that might have developed if magic actually worked... and if its own version of Imhotep had been a manipulative megalomaniac who decided to start a magic-controlled theocracy. tl,dr; Ancient Egyptians had a thing for humors and surgery and gods that were into sex lettuce, so that's what I claimed for Gujaareh.
With the Inheritance Trilogy I ranged more widely in what I mooched from existing cosmologies, because I wanted to build a belief system that resembled real-world stuff but wasn't just our world's gods in costume. For example, I noticed that lots of systems suggested that existence or human genesis begins with gods banging or fighting (or both), so I came up with a creation myth chock full of gods banging and fighting. Familiar hanger, new clothes on it.
But the Broken Earth books aren't about gods. There's a mythic frame "explaining" the Seasons and past disasters and Father Earth and so on, but that wasn't the focus. I was more interested in the ways we apply myths to people, treating some marginalized groups as simultaneously superhuman and subhuman... but never simply human. Same for the Great Cities books. It's meaningful that other cultures have discovered the existence of city avatars and worked them into their cosmologies, but only as a bit of detail to make the world more complete. Again, the mythology isn't the focus there.
I can't help you on becoming a good reader, sadly, because I am a very bad reader these days. I have a lot of trouble shutting off my "inner editor voice," which is a thing that I've heard a lot of other pro authors (and editors, and reviewers) mention. People in my business spend years developing the ability to spot problems in writing... and the inner editor is what happens when you stop being able to shut that ability off. The typos, the clichés, the patches of language that could've been trimmed out, all of it just starts to glare. The thing is, all books have issues like this, and most of the time they're not even errors, just... pecadilloes. The little things that are part of reading work made by human beings. They mean the writer was tired and didn't proofread as closely as they should, or maybe the writer was waffling on word use and inadvertently ended up using one a little too much, or maybe they were having a fight with their copyeditor about spelling and missed a grammar flub. Just part of reading. But if you, like me, have an inflamed inner editor, then instead of taking in the whole picture of whatever the author is trying to show you, you get nitpicky. You get irrationally angry at typos. You hyperfocus on the author's tendency to use one word too much. (A writer friend told me I use too many "plinths," for example.) You spend time thinking about structural issues and not noticing the language, or vice versa.
But since I'm currently in self-imposed reading rehab, maybe this will help you: For me, it helps to move away from what's familiar. I read a lot of stuff outside the SFF genre, because it's easier to shut off my inner editor when I'm less familiar with the tropes, the styles, the concepts. I've also really gotten into audiobooks, for example, because when I can't see the text I can't critique it, or at least not as instantly. So that's all I can suggest. If you've developed the habit of gulping down books, find a way to throttle the flow, so to speak. Try playing audiobooks on half speed, to train yourself to patience. Read outside your comfort zone, which will force you to slow down and take things in because of the unfamiliarity. Maybe try ebooks with the text blown up a lot, so that you have to turn the page more often; I don't know, just spitballing now. Maybe folks will have better suggestions in the comments. Hope it helps!

I am stewing in my own moral quagmire as Vegan Mafia is about to descend from her Thai paradise, probably glowing with the kind of righteousness you can only get from a diet of ethically sourced mangoes and superiority complex. And I'm sitting here, Google deep-diving into lamb slaughter stories like I'm prepping for a particularly dark episode of "Black Mirror."
Let me tell you, that vegan manifesto she recommended? It's still reading a Stephen King novel, except instead of killer clowns, it's killer cognitive dissonance. I had to fact-check this lamb story because, surprise surprise, the author's about as fond of citing sources as I am of eating kale. Turns out, it's true. Some kid in Colorado willingly signed up for this "Fat Lamb Project," which sounds like a subcategory on a fetish website but is actually a real thing that exists in our reality.
Now, I'm contemplating starting a Change.org petition faster than you can say "ethical quandary." Because this Fat Lamb Project? It's about as necessary in modern society as a Blockbuster Video membership. It's a sheep genocide masquerading as education, like if "Schindler's List" was rewritten by the Tyson chicken marketing team.
There's this picture of the boy crying that's more gut-wrenching than the time I tried to eat an entire Ghost Pepper on a dare. The article says it's "tears of love" for his lamb. Right. And I guess the Texas Chainsaw Massacre was just an enthusiastic exploration of alternative meat processing techniques.
You know what this reminds me of? The twisted logic that keeps the death penalty alive in America. It's like we collectively decided, "Hey, you know what would really show those animal abusers? If we... abused them back!" It's the kind of circular reasoning that would make M.C. Escher dizzy.
Now, let's talk about my parents for a second. They weren't exactly running a PETA branch out of our garage, but they had this crazy idea that maybe, just maybe, we shouldn't intentionally traumatize children or animals. When I was six, we went to this carnival that was probably violating more health codes than a gas station sushi bar. There was this miserable-looking animal that was probably questioning its life choices harder than a liberal arts major with $100k in student debt. My dad, in a move straight out of a Hallmark movie, paid to rescue it. We loved that animal like it was the family member who always brings the good dessert to Thanksgiving.
Then there was this time my brother's friend was staying over, and we got the neighbor's call that our beloved pet had been hit by a car. My dad cried harder than I ever thought was humanly possible. He said he would have given up all of his retirement funds just to save that "furry fiend." The vet said there was nothing they could do and no amount of money would save them.
So Vegan Mafia hits me with the "You're so worked up over this sheep and you're not even vegan" line. As if caring about animals is an all-or-nothing deal, like trying to eat just one Pringles or believing only half of a conspiracy theory.
Look, I get it. Murdering animals for pleasure is more messed up than a game of Monopoly that actually finishes. But what am I supposed to do? I tried the vegan thing in college, back when my diet consisted of bran flakes and air, stretched over three weeks like my last paycheck. I was single then, so my eating disorder flew under the radar more easily than a stealth bomber.
The thing is, beans and I have a relationship that's less "magical fruit" and more "guaranteed exorcism." Lentil crisps are fine until they're not, like a Tinder date that starts great and ends with you faking a family emergency. Tofutti ice cream? Amazing. But regular tofu makes me gag faster than the thought of another Fast & Furious sequel.
So what's left? A lifetime sentence of salad? I did that for two years during lockdown, and now the mere sight of a lettuce leaf triggers my fight or flight response. Those Quorn fake chicken bits? They've gone from "not bad" to "weirdly salty disappointment," like every film adaptation of a young adult novel.
With my nut allergy thrown into the mix, a vegan diet for me would be about as sustainable as a sandcastle in a hurricane. I'd probably starve faster than my attention span during a Zoom meeting.
I can be compassionate and still eat meat. It's not a binary choice, like whether to push the button in a thought experiment or whether pineapple belongs on pizza (it doesn't, fight me). I'm tired of vegans pushing this narrative harder than a multi-level marketing scheme on Facebook.
In the end, maybe it's about doing what we can, where we are, with what we have. Sometimes that means eating a chicken sandwich while feeling really, really bad about it. Welcome to the human condition, folks. It's messier than a toddler eating spaghetti and more complicated than explaining why you still have a MySpace account.

It came to me recently why fragrances containing grapefruit notes pose such difficulties for me: without fail, they remind me of dieting.
Armed with a horror of plumpness left over from their own girdle-bound maidenhoods, our mothers ruthlessly surveyed us for signs of unruly growth. As we blossomed, they pinched us back. Impatient sighs issued forth whenever we ate ice cream (or licked our fingers); frazzled copies of the Pritikin and Scarsdale Diets magically appeared in our paths. Finally the offer came: wouldn't we like to share Mom's "special" meals? We gamely ate soft-boiled eggs (no butter!), dry squares of wheat toast (no jam!), carefully-measured half-cups of low-fat cottage cheese cradled by leaves of lettuce (iceberg only-- fewer calories than romaine). And if we still wanted dessert after all that… enter the grapefruit.
Halved and served without sugar or garnish, the grapefruit proclaimed the proverbial 'strait gate' traveled by the would-be slender girl. Who else would eat something so acerbic, so biting, so reluctant to give up its contents? The fact that it had its own custom tools of extraction declared its challenging nature-- we had to really work to eat it, and for our pains, we'd more often than not receive a mouthful of bitter pips or a painful squirt-in-the-eye. To prevent the exercise from seeming overly punitive, we could choose a "fancy" pink or red grapefruit over the everyday "white" variety… but a maraschino cherry for decoration?! Are you crazy? Those things are seven calories apiece!
Today I am a grownup, in charge of my dinner plate along with my destiny. While I've come to enjoy grapefruit, I rarely buy them at the store or order them in restaurants. I simply can't shake the opinion that they're the housewife's "austerity measure"-- an edible form of self-punishment for secretly wanting a sloppy ice-cream sundae. Their very scent is a guilt-provoking jolt-- and that's why I've largely avoided that note in perfume.
Why spoil one of life's most wonderful indulgences with the bitter smell of penance?
Tastes change, as do opinions. Little by little I've talked myself into sampling without shuddering. For the most part, the compositions which work best for me cast grapefruit as a supporting player rather than the center of attention. I'm not fond of it swizzled with caramel, but I will take it paired with sea breezes and fresh flowers. And if I'm in the mood for a confection to make up for all those skipped desserts years ago, I sniff Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Pamplelune (grapefruit sorbet) followed by Lavanila Vanilla Grapefruit (grapefruit panna cotta).
The point is, I've gradually come to terms with the persnickety pamplemousse. If I feel any guilt now, it's because I didn't give this note the chance it deserved.
Here are a couple of Citrus x paradisi fragrances that I credit for talking me around:
Citron de Vigne (Fresh) A bright, true pink grapefruit essence whose astringent character is encouraged by tannic tea and red wine notes, this comes closest of all to the scent of a fresh grapefruit in hand. Imagine laboriously working a thumbnail under the pliant peel… the stickiness of the peel essence on your palm, followed by the sting of juice… the cottony texture of the bitter pith… the pink inner flesh veiled but visible… Now pour yourself a garnet glass of Pinot Noir and get ready for a refreshing, mouth-puckering treat.
Scent Elements: Neroli, bigarade, pink grapefruit, red wine accord, jasmine tea leaves, lemongrass, patchouli, sandalwood, amber
Oyédo (Diptyque) For this grapefruit maceration, substitute a half-and-half mix of kiddie grape juice and Jarritos Tamarindo for the red wine, and throw in a bunch of fresh thyme. It sounds like it could be a mess, but somehow it achieves a crazy balance. I prefer the savory drydown to the supersweet opening, but patience being a virtue, the wait is well-justified.
Scent Elements: Lemon, lime, yuzu, grapefruit, mandarin, orange, mint, caraway, thyme, tamarind, cedar

A interesting horror element that could work for a magical girl show is possession. One of them reason lettuce from Tokyo mew mew is my favorite is because her transformation took control of her. I’m surprise more magical girl media hadn’t use that. The alter magical girl self being different from civilian form, causing it to have it own separate personality and voluntary taking over without the civilan summoning her. Like venom from spiderman
Well, it WAS utilized in the anime adaptation of Magia Record... whenever a Puella Magi overused its Doppel (a concentrated version of their Witch, therefore making it much easier to the Puella Magi to regain her senses), it would take over her mind and she'd lose herself.
She would also retreat into a small idealistic world where her wish is granted, as seen with Iroha and her Doppel Giovanna.
Except that the anime was absolute dogshit, and the Doppel System was destroyed in the end and Puella Magis now once again run the risk of irreversibly becoming Witches, because according to Gekidan Inu Curry: "Inertia is what rules the world".

When The Lake Thawed Out: Chapter 3
Summary: In 1993, a young man goes missing near a lake in his hometown; the town heartbroken and having lost a spark in their lives. Now, after 30 years of unanswered questions, he comes home in one of the most intense heatwaves to ever hit the town of Little Franconia, seeing that things are the same and different. In this tale of discovery and family, watch as Joshua relearns the world around him and adjusts to the nuances of pop culture, technology, and generational rot. Writer's Whining: O... M... GOODNESS. I am soooooo sorry for not getting this chapter out sooner. But I'm back and ready to give you some good-ass GVF content! This chapter did kick my ass because it had been so long since I entered this world and what I wanted to do with it. Warning(s): Lucifer's Lettuce (if you get my drift 💨🍃), Nostalgia. The homeless shelter was filled with many lost souls, taking the form of befallen people who had hit rock bottom. Some were experienced and seasoned in their suffering; others were innocuous but felt the dread of the unknown that would await them. Lines led to a larger arena, where several barbers were dedicating their services for free to the people here.
"Next," said a bald and tatted man with gloves on his hands. A male had strolled to the chair, sat down, and had his fingers interlaced. He looked tired, eyes heavy and slouched. He had looked clean, but his arm and wrist had bandages. The young man's hair was pulled into a small ponytail, significant matting present. "What are we working with today, buddy?"
"My hair… it's getting too hard to manage, and I don't think I have the strength to handle it," he said, his hand on his arm. "Please cut it off."
"Let me see if I can save some of it," the tatted barber man said, soon working his magic. He had slowly but surely untangled some of his hair, his dark curls returning to life. "So what's going with you?" the barber asked.
"Just staying in this lovely establishment," he said, sounding chipper despite his state of being. "But it won't be long. I'm trying to find my younger brother…"
"Is that so," the other passively responded. "Well, I'm sure you'll find him." He had washed thoroughly, the water looking slightly dull. With another wash, the man had a clean slate to work with. "What style do you want your hair, buddy?"
"Style?" the disadvantaged one said, puzzled by his asking.
"How do you want me to cut your hair?" the other asked differently, his scissors in one hand and a lock of hair in the other. "Or do you feel like starting over.."
The male looked around, seeing everyone getting their hair cut. "Do whatever you want on the side... but I want my curls on the top to show... please?"
"Ask, and you shall receive," the tatted male began the task at hand. He began to cut his hair, the wet locks falling to the ground. He started to trim the sides and fixed any frayed strands after grabbing a mirror. "What do you think?"
The other had looked at himself in the mirror. The young man's hair was short around on the sides, the back of his hair short but tapered up into the wet curls that sat on his crown and forehead. The most dominant parts of his face were his ears and jawline now. "Thank you… thank you so much."
"What's your name, buddy?" the tatted male asked as he began to clean his tools for the next person.
"I'm Josh… Josh Kiszka."
⟹ ⟹ ⟹ ⟹ ⟹ ⟹ ⟹ ⟹ ⟹ ⟹ ⟹ ⟹ ⟹ ⟹ ⟹ ⟹ ⟹ ⟹ ⟹ ⟹ ⟹ ⟹ ⟹ ⟹
The Kiszka household was quiet. Everything was in its place, from the appliances in the kitchen to an easy tv guide in the living room. Jamie was in his room listening to music, specifically Miley Cyrus's take on Heart of Glass by Blondie. It was ambiance to him, not caring for the song or the artist.
It was just music to him.
He reached into his dresser and pulled out a vape, taking the mouthpiece to his lips and taking a few puffs before letting out a nice, thick ball of smoke. He took his pillow and began to flap it around and try to get rid of the smoke in the room. Grabbing some air freshener, he sprayed around the area to cover his tracks. He returned to the bed and laid down, closing his eyes and immersing himself.
Sam soon entered the room, the older sibling looking up and seeing him in shorts and a tank top. "Hey Jamie, I gotta ask you a favor," he told him, rubbing the back of his neck.
"That depends… gimme five bucks," Jamie's smirk plastered across his face.
"What? Dude, no way," he told him right back to him.
"Then ask Dad," Jamie said, returning to his idle listening session.
"That's the thing… I can't ask him," Sam told Jamie.
Jamie soon paused the music and looked at Sam. "What is it that you can't tell Dad?" he asked.
"I thought you wanted five bucks," Sam jeered.
"You can buy me food then," Jamie said, looking at him and waiting for him to listen. "What's the favor?"
"Okay… I wanna go and hang out with Daniel, but I know Dad is going to have you escort me and shit," Sam asked.
"And you're asking me to cover for you while you go off on an adventure with Daniel," he figured, the younger boy nodding and playing with the hem of his shirt. "As much as I wanna piss Dad off, I'm gonna say no."
"Come on, I don't ever go anywhere by myself," Sam said, slightly stomping his feet.
"I don't make the rules…" Jamie replied, now picking up a book about pirates.
The gears in the younger Kiszka's head started to turn, trying to devise a plan to go and see his friend. He snapped his fingers like a lightbulb had lit up in his brain. "What if you say you come with me, but when we get out in town, we both go our separate ways."
"My dearest Samuel," Jamie started, tossing his book and wrapping an arm around his shoulders, "you are forgetting one crucial thing: Dad makes us have our location all the time."
"Shit…" Sam said, arms crossed, "what if you just give me your phone. That way, it'll look like you're with me."
"And what if Dad decides to call me? Then what," Jamie said. Sam had thought about it and sighed. "Exactly."
"Damn…" Feeling defeated, Sam sighed, plopping on Jamie's bed.
"And why do you wanna hang out with him now? You know he works at the record shop today."
"I just wanna hang out with my best friend," Sammy told him. "If you had one, you'd understand."
"I don't need friends," Jamie snapped, arms crossed and head turned aside. "new friends, that is."
"Sure thing Mister Dark and Mysterious," Sammy teased, wiggling his fingers in Jamie's face. "And by the way, if you're gonna vape, at least open your window." Jamie was about to reply but had waved him off.
Sammy returned to his room, flopping down on his bed and sighing. He wanted to see Daniel badly, but at the same time didn't want to mess up his workflow. He didn't know how it got this way, needing to be around Daniel all the time. He soon grabbed his phone, opened the text messages, and saw their past conversations. They sent each other jokes and funny pictures, Sam chuckling at the throwback Thursday pictures of him and the boys in their youth.
Thumbs began to type rapidly on the phone as Sam was eager to contact him.

Daniel had his hair in a bun, trying to keep his hair pulled back as it was such a hot day. He wore the brightest thing he could find to keep the sun's rays off him, a science tip Sammy gave him. Danny had undone his bun to massage his head. He had attempted to put his hair up, only for the ribbon to snap. "Shit," he cursed in a whisper, looking at his worn-out ribbon. He would see where the material of the fabric broke off, exposing the elastic band that had also broken off due to tension.
His father just so happened to come from the back of the store and spoke, "Letting those locks out, I see," he teased his boy.
"My ribbon broke off," he said as he searched for one in his pockets. "You don't happen to have one, do you?"
"Absolutely, after all, I'm blessed with such a head full of hair," he said, pretending to comb his thinning hair.
Danny chuckled, "I can handle a rubber band for now," he said, his father passing him one. He soon felt the vibration of his phone against his thigh, jumping and reaching down to see that it was Sam texting him.
Sammy: Hi Danny :) Wanna hang out later today?
Daniel smiled as he replied.
Danny: Hey, Sam! @ Work. Talk 2 you after.
Daniel had put his phone back in his pocket but felt the sudden soft stare of his father. He faced him and spoke, "You okay?"
"You two haven't skipped a beat, huh?" Mr. Wagner said, "You guys were always attached at the hip."
"I was thinking about it; maybe when Sam and Jamie settled here, we can get them a job at the record store," Daniel said, smiling a little.
"That doesn't sound bad at all. He already has a good understanding of music.," Mr. Wagner said.
"Oh, this is gonna be great," Daniel said with a wide smile. "I just hope Mr. Kiszka doesn't mind them working here."
"You know he still has yet to call me?" Mr. Wagner told Daniel with slight annoyance, but it wasn't out of anger: it was out of concern. "He knows he can call me any time, but he doesn't… why?"
"Maybe he's been busy with the house," Daniel told him, "we can visit them…"
"You're right. Let's welcome the Kiszkas back to Franconia and make them feel at home," Mr. Wagner said to him.
Daniel and his dad continued throughout the day, having some customers come in and out of the record store. It was near closing time, finally. Daniel sighed as he was ready to clock out and go home. "I can't wait to go home," he said as he placed his uniform on a hanger.
After finishing up, Daniel grabbed his phone and opened up his messages. He had instantly texted.
Danny: Hey! Wanna hang out at my house this weekend? Bring your dad too.
As if Samuel were waiting, Daniel saw his text bubbles pop up on his screen, a smile across his face.
Sammy: Yes! Cowabunga! 🏊♀️🩳
Daniel chuckled. He had gotten his backpack and had followed his dad out. The sunset was settling over Franconia, Daniel's skin radiant in the sun. He remembered when Sam and his brother visited the then-young Wagner, the kids jumping around in a puddle after a long week of rainy weather. Daniel and Sam had a weird bowl haircut, but they joked around and called each other Bieber twins. They were a pair indeed. It was different when things were simple for them, to an extent. They didn't worry as much. They looked hopeful.
"I'm glad Sam is back here with us," Daniel said to his dad.
"I think so, too. You got your brother back," Mr. Wagner said, Daniel smiling a little.
“Yeah… brother…”

Farm Witch
Sometimes they are seemingly unassuming farmhands who are always giving subtle magical Blessings to their fellow workers, sometimes they are the charismatic unofficial leaders of isolated and eccentric agricultural communes, sometimes they live in grand castles and tend to fields of lettuce so supernaturally enchanting that one would sell their baby for a just taste of them. Whoever they are, Farm Witches excel in two things; tending and taming the earth - and always paying their dues.
Farm Witches' Emotional Focus is the emotion of Duty. They are responsible, hardworking and community-minded. Farm Witchcraft is a tradition developed in small agricultural communities, and so Farm Witches draw their power from the responsibility and solidarity that comes from communal farm-work. Working hard is not simply a matter of putting food on your own plate or even the plates of your family members, but of helping to feed your entire community.
The ideals that the Farm Witches draw their power from are sometimes more idyllic fantasies than reality - but it doesn't make them any less potent as a source of power. Some Farm Witches work hard to preserve these concepts as reality, usually by joining or forming farming communes. Others are drawn to various modern forms of activism as a way to channel the concepts of working together alongside your peers to assure that you can all thrive (they all still keep the farm aesthetics). Others basically co-opt the concept to manipulate people for their own personal gain. Basically being aristocrats with good gardening skills
Because Farm Witches are not just dutiful themselves, they are skilled in inspiring a sense of Duty in others - using conventional means like inspirational speeches, community-building and emotional manipulation, as well as magical means to make sure everyone around them is contributing according to his ability. This can be a very good thing if the Witch truly has their community's best interest in mind - but every type of Witch can be good or evil. Wicked-hearted Farm Witches frame their domination and exploitation of others as their 'Duty', while assuring their subjects feel Duty to serve them.
Trying to use Farm Witches' sense of Duty against them is a very bad idea. A Farm Witch who finds out someone was trying to use them and their hard work in an unscrupulous manner is quite a dangerously furious Witch. For the good Farm Witches it is a matter of these fools corrupting the sacred bonds of duty and community for their own good, for the more wicked-hearted bunch it's more of a "it's only okay if I do it" matter.
Due to Farm Witchcraft being highly connected with the emotion of Duty, the spells of a Farm Witch usually come in the forms of bargains and deals. Even when it comes to Blessing and Curses, they usually form their magic around an exchange with their target. Their Magic is simply at its most powerful when it's rewarding those who have done work for them or punishing people who have failed to uphold their part of an agreement. They have an elemental affinity to Plants and Earth magic.

March 13, 2024
Happy covid-iversary, yay. "Two weeks to stop the spread," is a saying that will haunt me my entire life, I think.
I didn't actually journal on March 13 which is a shame in hindsight, but I remember not doing much. I lounged around my house because classes were cancelled, I picked my sister up from school, and we went to get ice cream. A lot of other people from my/her high school had the same idea, so the line was long, and I was too awkward to say hi to the people I kinda knew (but I always thought they were cooler than me (I genuinely think most people are cooler than me... which might be a problem in some respects, but I'll deal with that later.)).
Anyway I coded for 5 hours straight and got a working encounter system, a working character creator, and a working opponent set generator. There's still a lot to move from my note to the script, but, the game works, and everything I've written runs as intended. Is it fun? Well, right now, it's all the same. Name yourself, fight one-fight two-fight three (each only requiring one or two inputs), game ends. It was exciting the first couple of times, but now I want to add more for more variety, of course.
[edit: wrote the above a couple days ago and after a break it has returned to being kind of fun. I've also learned that instantaneousness kills all tension, so I wrote a few basic functions to delay and separate lines in various ways. Anyway I'm going to hold off on doing much more transcribing/coding from my pseudocode, since I don't want to get too far ahead of the final project timeline, and I don't even really know what the expectations are, so I could be way outside of bounds here and I just wouldn't know.]
[edit 2, next day: New plan. Going to write more detailed pseudo/update poorly-detailed pseudo, do some story planning for the secret ending that I don't intend to get to but hey yaneverknow, and try to balance mechanics/come up with items/do a bunch of the little things that sap a surprising amount of creativity.]
I also binged She-Hulk, and I loved it?! I thought it was going to be awful and cringey the way people online (dudes?) talked about it, but it was genuine, and meta, and actually had me laughing at times. I mean, that last episode? Come on!!! Sure, some of the vfx were just alright, but it's a show, and after six-odd years of AOS, I'm used to it. I'm glad they leaned into the unseriousness. Also,,,, Matt Murdock is such a hottie. The quips, the law banter, the violence, ahhhh. My dnd-friend strongly endorses Daredevil, but I've held off because I was afraid of the violence, honestly. But I'm a big girl, and I'm very good at closing my eyes.
Today I'm thankful for a successful antiquing run!!!! Early last semester I heard about this antique market, and I finally put in the effort to get there today, and it was amazing!!! I was looking for shared housewares (found the specific item I was looking for!) and unique vintagey jewelry. Didn't quite manage to find anything truly vintage, but I got a darling piece of simple costume jewelry and the most fantastic mug that's shaped like a head of lettuce (this description does not do its beauty justice). The necklace will be perfect for when I finally make my way to the opera, and the mug is like something a fairy would drink from. I stayed within my budget which means I have just a little bit left in my allowance to thrift for clothes, maybe on Friday or Saturday (since I'll be in lab all day tomorrow).
By the way, the antique store was amazing. It has at least five floors (I got tired after three and a half) and is filled to the brim with some of the most eclectic stuff you could ever find, with old-timey radios playing music from various eras throughout. Magical. I could waste a lot of money there.
Oh wait, before I go, yesterday was such a busy day that I didn't even journal but I:
Met up with a lab/classmate and their partner for a lunch and a stroll in the city which was fantastic. My original plan was to go see Dune and also to pick up some (red, short, block) heels I'd ordered, but I didn't end up liking the heels on me very much, and I was enjoying the pair's company too much to cut the time short with a three-hour movie.
Went to a paint night through a diversity org I'm in which was also fantastic. I painted a cute little mushroom scene! I don’t really consider myself a visual artist and I’m not a huge fan of acrylic but it was very relaxing so I’d love to try watercolor sometime. Also like,, because this isn’t my "preferred medium" it was SO nice to not be stressed about perfection and just go for it.

Egyptian Guardians fanfic
Chapter: 1 Shelter and Care part 1
For three days Nut continued nonstop holding Seth tightly in her arms as she made her way to their destination only stopping once to catch her breath “don’t my son were almost there..” she whispered to Seth who was still fast asleep, Nut could feel they were drawing near and indeed they were for nearby Nut recognized a certain rock patterns surrounded by large dunes and trees may look like a regular place where an oasis might be but in fact was a secret place hidden by Nut’s magic by a special mirage like wall no can see nor detect not even the other guardians themselves and can be only entered by special words as she whispered in their ancient language within a couple of steps she stepped through the magic within feeling like mist against her skin as she walked towards the end revealing a clear sparkling spring filled with water surrounded the sand and foliage of its area, it was their secret oasis that her and her son would go to when he was a child whenever they wanted to get away from the royal and busy life of the kingdom where they could seek peace and quiet solitude. Yes this place is what he needs after what he’s been through.
Tearing a piece of her dress Nut whispered a few words tossing the piece of fabric into the ground converted into a small tent for two people, walking inside she smiled in joy seeing the supplies she requires two beds mats with plenty of pillows and blankets, some utensils for eating and cooking, some fresh cloths and bathing utensils. She may not be great of magic like Isis, but she can get what she needs to accomplish. Now was the time to get to work Seth still in her arms walking over to the mats she kneeled down to roll out the mat she carefully laid her son out gently removing the old rags to have a better inspection on his condition and she tried not tear up for Seth was very thin having lost quiet a lot of weight she could barely see his ribs his cheeks hollow from lack of eating for a long time. He still had a fever that she needs take care now! Getting a bucket she proceeded to rush out to the spring to fetch some water once back inside she proceed to set a small fire and pot pouring the water inside to warm it up until it was lukewarm getting a bowl and rag gathering the water up she soaked the rag, once it was completely damp she laid it across Seth’s forehead to reduce his fever then grabbed another to gently was wash away the dust and grim from his body as best she could until she can get him into a proper bath. Once Seth was removed of dust and grim laid out more rags across his body to hold down his fever going back and forth ever hour until the flush redness from his face and body faded feeling his head she smiled in relief as the fever had faded. Now that was set aside she had to get some liquids into his system starting with some fresh water to drink. Fetching a small bucket rushing to the spring, once she replace the water from the pot then processed to distillate the water until it was safe to drink repeating till the canteen was filled with enough water to drink. Pouring the last of the water into a small cup she sat by her son gently lifting his head up onto her lap sitting him up a bit as she brought the cup to his lips “come on my son you need to drink..please Seth I know you can do it..come on.. please.. just try..”she whispered words of encouragement gently pressing his lips to get him to open his mouth. Nut’s eyes brightened as Seth opened his lips letting him drink the cool liquid taking slow sips coughing a bit due to lack of hydration but managed to finish the cup she then gave him a second, then third cup until she believe he had enough, not give him too much and make his tummy sick. Now it was time to get some food in him by starting with some light soup Nut went back out to find some fresh vegetables (except lettuce knowing ever since the incident her son has since despised the plant) so gathering some leeks, turnips, some herbs, and some rare foreign fruit called tomatoes that some travelers brought from other lands that were able to grow in some of the oasis’s out here over the years. Once she had enough she retreated back inside and another pot to boil after double checking on Seth, Nut began cutting and slicing her herbs and vegetables putting into the pot to cook and boil into a broth like soup with small healing spells to help heal her son as he sleeps. After a while she tasted the soup to if it was ready? Aw it was good! Very good, getting another bowl she scooped some up gently blowing on it until it was cool but still warm to eat proceeded to do the same did with getting her to son the drink the water which also a success as Seth instantly ate the soup managing to drink it all and get another bowl into his system when he turned his face away a sign he was down which Nut didn’t mind happy he had something in his belly with that she left him to sleep to clean up a bit. Today was a success but there was still much work to do. Over the next three days she set a routine check on Seth every two hours, gather food to make the day’s meals, get fresh water, change his rags and check his temperature, drink plenty of liquids and meal, keep the fire going and so on. She even set to sewing and making her son some new cloths patiently waiting for Seth to awaken from his deep sleep preparing for the questions and confusions that he’ll have later on. It was later on the evening on the 3rd day that Seth finally awoken.

My Top 5 favorite ships of all time 😎 (with bonuses)
hello. the demons in my head said to do it and i will do it now. (read it in the number 15 foot lettuce guy voice) also , they are not in a particular order , just they are on the same level (also this is an indication of what ill be prob posting on my page )
Number 5. LeviHan (Hange x Levi , from AOT)
what can i say , i sometimes do enjoy 50% straight romance. its not fully 100% because hange is a demigirl , you cannot disagree , it is in all religion texts.
Anyway , i just love the absolute idiot x emo fuck dynamic. warms my heart and size difference , what cant ya love?
Number 4. Beiguang/Eimiko (Ningguang x Beidou / Yae Miko x Ei , from genshin impact)
Ah the classic lesbian ships , my beloved. I couldn't decide which to put so i put them on the same spot! look at my monkey brain go.
Eimiko is a classic for a good damn reason. They gay as fuck for each other , and i just love the "takes no shit" lesbian and the "i DONT give a flying fuck " lesbian you just love it
Same with Beiguang. They are a classic for a reason. Them being gay ass fuck can also explain but the free gf and takes no shit gf my beloved.
Number 3. Zukka ( Zuko x Sokka , from ATLA)
You know , as i said previously i love emo fucks and goofy bitches being together. And additional points from finding the ship in memes. Its just... SOO GOOD. mhm.
Also both missing mums less gooo
Number 2. Bowuigi ( Bowser x Luigi , from... Mario universe idk)
If you follow me or what bullshit i post , you know i AM OBSSESED with these FUCKERS. THEY BROKE INTO MY HOUSE , STOLE MY HEART , GOT ME TO BED AND KISSED ME ON MY FOREHEAD.
they have me floating in the air , magic on my titties , and you know. I am not complaining. like someone else 😼😳 (also like... size diffrence.) also monster fucking less go.
Number 1. Xiaitto , AraXiao? idk anymore (Xiao x Itto , from Genshin impact)
I got you bowuigi shippers here in my grasp , and you cannot escape me from talking about my fav genshin ship.
... words cannot describe how I AM IN FUCKING LOVE WITH THIS SHIP. But i cant usually express that because , theres no fucking xiao x itto posts. Anywhere. Even on twitter or pintrest. I am truly disappointing in humanity because of it.
Now first of all , one of or my favourite dynamic is goofy hoe x emo bitch. and as you can see , they are the infact definition of the himbo x emo trope.
second of all , JESUS THE SIZE DIFFRENCE IS KILLING ME. YOU MEAN THAT PEOPLE DONT SHIP THE TALLEST AND (maybe) SHORTEST MALE CHARACTERS? WTHHHH
third, the actual interactions in game make me wanto cry and scream and want them to live happily ever after in the mountain house or something (2.7 really is amazing guys)
and fourth , the aus this parring can be is truly amazing. I can put them in a royal au , with babysitting au and it works perfectly. (im thinking of writting a fanfic based on that , because into you is good omggg)
Honorable mentions
Any oc x oc parring i have. People wont get you my loves but i love you none the less . (need to get on writting a work on them)
some mha ships , including kiribaku , todomomo , jiromomo , and todojiro (idk emo x deppressed kinda slay)
thomato and chili , couldnt fit you guys but you guys are a high 6th place :(
anddd yeah thats the end of my rambling. thank you for reading it , and if any of the ships intrest you (mainly itto x xiao) please talk to me , i need someone to talk about them with me.
adios
#bowuigi#eimiko#beiguang#zukka#levihan#xiao x itto#oc x oc#rant#the voices in my head#are getting louder

Hervè could hardly keep Connor locked up forever. He decided to drop all charges, if Connor agreed to drink from the pewter goblet to test whether its magical properties were still intact.
Legend had it that a drink from it conferred skill in a craft, but only the first drink any given person took from the goblet had a measureable effect (Hervè claimed it had kick-started his baking skill, but he rarely ever used it, so his claim was hard to verify).
Connor: "If all fails, we can still get Bouleau into court for claiming the goblet is magical. The Witchcraft Act of seventeen-thirty... wait! Whats with that foam? Did you put soap in the drink?"
Gavin: "If that's soap, then I will never again wash!"
Connor: "So it's not soap?"
Gavin: "If you're that concerned about this, then curse heartily before drinking. Then it would be like washing your own mouth out with soap."
Connor takes a sip...
Connor: *cough, cough* "MERDE!"
Gavin: "And?"
Connor: "I believe you now that it's not soap. Nothing in the world can taste that atrocious!"
Gavin: "And do you feel any more competent now?"
Connor: "Kinda. I do feel the urge to play my heart out on a lute."
Gavin: "Should have known the goblet would be powerless against you. Honest work just isn't your thing."
Connor: "But isn't being able to play an instrument a skill, too?"
Gavin: "Try serenading the lettuce in spring and see if that makes it grow bigger... "

i am not very good at this but i'm trying my best and that's all that matters
wed. 1.11.23 - what is your favorite weather to study in?
my favorite weather is easily either a super stormy night or a colder, windy day that's still sunny. i love having my window open in the winter and being able to feel the wind.
tues. 1.17.23 - how many books do you want to read this semester? this year?
my goal for this year is i think 20? i want to hit around that point, and i'm gonna try for 5 during the semester. i think that will allow for an achievable goal, while still focusing on my school work.
wed. 1.18.23 - what is your favorite place to eat on campus?
the market in between towers or the den. i get a popcorn chicken sub with pepperjack and mayo, honey mustard (the best condiment imo), lettuce, onion, and pickle. and then i go to the den and get an oreo milkshake made with strawberry ice cream. best combo. just off of campus is a really good pho place that i like though.
thurs. 1.19.23 - what is your favorite habit you’ve picked up since being in college?
easily going to the gym. i've been having so much fun creating workouts and i've been able to see myself getting stronger and its such a nice feeling.
sotd: magic - b.o.b and rivers cuomo
currently reading: devil may care - samantha rue and angel lawson

Mahou wrap up 2022 survey results
Here are the results of the recent questionnaire for your Mahou 2022!
Best character:
irma w.i.t.c.h.
Myamu
Lemon Kokoa
sunday spade wild cardz
Luchia Nanami
Mew Lettuce
Cure Whip! (i rewatched KiraKira! So not really 2022? If from 2022 only, I loved Kuroe)
Cure Precious/Yui Nagomi
nanami kiryuu
Fuwa Kokone
Sayaka miki (I watched side story this year so it technically counts even though she’s my favorite magical girl ever)
Yui Nagomi/Cure Precious, Ichigo Momomiya/Mew Ichigo
Best character design:
Cure YumYum
Cure Yum Yum
Cure coral
cure flora
Cure Finale
Kome-Kome
The Hirogaru Sky silhouettes. I just know the full designs are gonna be ballin'
This is a hard one, all of the Primagi designs are tied.
kumi kumi from mgrp white is minecraft
Infinite Iroha (Magia Record)
I just love seeing designs in general
the way utena uses the transformations for symbolism and what not is super cool design by itself goes to cure summer shes great
Mew Lettuce's and Mew Zakuro's 2022 designs
Best work:
Tokyo Mew Mew New
Tokyo Mew Mew New!
care bear stars
Magilumiere
Healer Girl
....does witch hat atelier count as a mg since it's witches or it it too fantasy world to be one? either way it slaps
Ultra Maniac
Delicious Party PreCure has its moments but it's not my fav season or anything. I wish I had time for more anime this year, but unfortunately I've been working overtime.
Can I say Glitter and Guilt? Because there's published webcomic pages now
utena is the best show ive watched in a long time i love picking it apart and even tough its super dark and hard to watch the visuals and everything is amazing i love the movie the most its so surreal and dreamy this is all entirely expected bc i love twin peaks and theyre a very similar niche
I really really liked Madoka side story, but I watched yuki yuna and was really pleasantly surprised by it!
Free comment field for gushing about something that didn’t fit the other topics:
uhh watch lego monkie kid its like a magical girl show but about a boy
Keeping it to series i more or less saw this 2022 but i really wanna praise waccha primagi tho its more of an idol series than magical girl the magic is every present in the show and i love the great myamu sama the ending moved me to tears.
saint tail remaster bless discotek
Obsessed with the Shugo Chara Wonderland merch that released earlier this year.
Was fascinated how some of the dress up collection dresses made a comeback in the DeliPre series. For example when Kokone was shown wearing Rikka's blue gown.
Watching Vampire in the Garden (a non mahou show) has given me ideas for making a magical girl OC with clothes based on Imperial Russia. You can never have too many OCs!
all the merch and new content for the early-mid 2000's shows and manga has got me really excited! like, of course we got the Tokyo Mew Mew reboot, but there's been new merch and art for Shugo Chara, Mermaid Melody has that sequal series being released, and even Saint Tail has gotten some stuff. It makes me hopeful that other manga besides Mew Mew will also get the same love and attention!
power of friendship is the shit and somehow mg shows make it not cheesy but good good
The Mascots and Recipepes in Delicious Party Precure are so cute!! I also liked the addition of Rosemary and BlackPepper/Takumi.
Hmmm I really liked some magical girl webcomics I was reading, like Cloudy Wondrous and Captian Jellyfish
I love Takumi from DeliPaPre, he's such a dork and its very endearing how he tries to be a cool Tuxedo Mask type but sometimes forgets his Cool Guy persona bc "omg its yui" lol
Complaint time!
Gushing Over Magical Girls should be good. i like the designs but too horny for the age of everyone
Mew Mint's henshin was a major downgrade from the original
The adaptation of Magia Record was such a disappointment! It undid the happy ending of the game and killed of several characters for shock value!
I finally got around to watching all of Day Break Illusion and GOD it started out really cool and interesting, but than it decided to just get BAD bad a bit after the half way mark. Lots of missed potential.
WHY CAN'T WE GET ANY MAHOU MOBILE GAMES IN ENGLISH EVERY TIME I SEE GAME CHARACTERS ON MGOTD I WANT THEM BUT THEY'RE ALWAYS DISCONTINUED OR SOMETHING Also Miraculous Ladybug is a trainwreck
i watched a lot of older and darker mg shows this year and i really dont like the saturation of designs that exist now also there arent newer medium dark shows that ive heard its either for kids or everyone dies i like both but not as the only option
How easily I fall out of a Precure season. Delicious Party I think is the furthest I've ever gotten
yuis lack of a personality in delipre
The 4th cures design and general costume of delipre didnt really live up to the food theme.
Honestly I really hate how delicious party precure is pushing stress eating as a good thing.
Delicious Party Precure seemed to have TOO many themes at the same time and didn't feel as cohesive as other teams to me.
Hmm I tried watching some of the later entries in precure (tropical rouge and delipre) and I simply couldn’t get into any of them :/ I also tried watching flip flappers again and simply couldn’t get through it again -_- it was uncomfortable to watch
Mahou plans and hopes for 2023:
That the new precure series will be aesthetic af
I'm always excited for the next Precure!
im hoping this years precure has an angel theme and there will be more cyber inspired designs in general i find them fun and good for diversity also ive started the sailor moon anime i read the manga when i was a little kid but ive never watched it
To like the new season of precure and for Magilumere to keep going
Super excited for Hirogaru Sky!! And Mew New season 2
I hope the new precure season uses the duo formula again, and a more pastel color palette. Also looking forward to the new Sailor Moon movie!
I hope the next precure season is better than DeliParty, and I also hope for a Primagi season 2! Just more new original stories would be nice.
lesbians
new original series.
I'm really looking forward to Mahou Shoujo Magical Foghters and In/Spectre season 2!! Gonna watch those weekly!
Learn to take things off the backburner
God I wish I could design magical girls
Hopefully I’ll be able to get my current project going (webcomic)
More magical girl stuff in general, and less fighting among fans over ships and the grimdark vs. standard genres
Thanks to everyone who took part!
Raffle winners have been contacted. I’ll wait... let’s say a week in case people are busy doing something else over the holidays than browsing tumblr, and if there’s no response I’ll pick a different winner.
