A few little extras from the cover for @popjeckdoom’s fic, “Bonds of Beskar: Daggers Dominion” (on ao3!) (also on ao3, this cover)
We got the textless version so you can see all the details without any of the colors washed out and also got a comparison with last years cover (the first fic in the series, also on ao3!)

Nameless Part Twelve - Apostate Page 4/10 I love that the Grand Inquisitor belongs to a species that avoids direct sunlight. Perfect for visual metaphors about being ~blinded by the Jedi's light~, and I take it to show how he adapted to life in the Temple in a way that works contrary to his nature. The comic is also available here on AO3.

Obi-Wan and Yoda have no obligations to the Rebellion. There isn't even a Rebellion to be obligated TO when they go into hiding initially. And Obi-Wan IS doing his duty to the Rebellion by protecting one of Anakin's children (they believe Anakin's children might be the only people ultimately capable of taking down the Sith, but they also know that if Anakin and Palpatine get ahold of Luke and Leia and turn them into Sith, all hope is lost). Obi-Wan also clearly has a direct communication to Bail and Breha that they can utilize in dire need, so he's not completely removed from the Rebellion.
Obi-Wan and Yoda are intended to be last resorts. They're considered public enemy #1 to the Empire and if they were out there more obviously fighting in the Rebellion, they'd be getting constantly hunted down by the Empire's full might and probably wouldn't last very long. They might even, at least in the beginning, be more of a hindrance than a help because they could draw attention to a fledgling Rebellion and end up killing it before it has a chance to grow at all. Obi-Wan and Yoda are people the Rebellion has in their back pocket for if all hope is about to be lost and they need to pull out a miracle.
There aren't enough Jedi left to force the few survivors to keep fighting on the front lines, especially when there's next to zero support to keep them from being immediately hunted down and murdered by the Empire. It helps nobody to do that. Ahsoka fights from the shadows for most of her tenure in the Rebellion, but we see in the Kenobi show how quickly Obi-Wan is discovered when he does leave Tatooine. It's a matter of a few DAYS before the Empire is on his tail and he barely manages to escape with the help of other people.
I do think that the whole purpose of Obi-Wan and Yoda being in hiding has been made a little muddied by all of the Jedi characters who have been shown to be fighting in the Rebellion (Ahsoka, Cal, Kanan and Ezra) and so now people go "well if they could do it, why couldn't Obi-Wan and Yoda?" And I get that, but I feel like it misses the point of why Obi-Wan and Yoda chose to go into hiding in the first place. They're protecting the potential future of the Jedi and the last Force sensitive children they even know are left to protect, as well as protecting themselves as potential future assets to the Rebellion and the fight against the Sith and the Empire.

I enjoy any reverse age fic that keeps Anakin realistically dark (and dramatic - I am an eViL SItH!!!) while also letting twink Obi-Wan be like, nope, Jedi live and Palpatine dies, those are the rules for fucking me <3
its very important to me that anakin thinks and acts like he's the most powerful person in the whole galaxy but then his soaking wet pathetic chihuahua of a padawan actually holds both of their leashes yeah
padawan obi-wan is like kill your master for me it would make me happy for a millisecond and anakin does the math and is like. perfect ok will do immediately. is there anyone i can kill for you that would make you happy for a whole minute? maybe thirty whole seconds? just let me know. i'll do it. i'll do it so fast.

I don't care if The Last Jedi "ruined your childhood" or "destroyed a beloved character". I'll always defend it because this is the Star Wars movie for scrupulous people.

SHUT UP everyone SHUT UP. I just realized Venom is gonna be the first trilogy ever where I'll have watched every film in theaters during the original release. The first time EVER for me???
6 years. I was just finishing middle school and now I'm half way through college. And the whole time ive had the same interest in the world's most fuckable alien. There is not a single other thing that I have consistenty remained interested in in the past 6 years. And I get to watch 3/3 in theaters. How wonderful. How marvelous. Even if I DO have to sit between my straightest friend and my father. That's so crazy

I feel like sw as a whole puts a decent amount of effort into making sure charecters are out of the picture for major events (Ahsoka being presumed dead during tot, Ezra vanishing into wild space, all of rouge one, etc) it mostly happens with force users for obous reasons but...
Idk I feel like they don't nessacarally need to do that? Like there's an easy answer to "if x was alive why didn't they show up during y event" and it's "they were busy" they don't need to be dead or presumed dead to be otherwise preoccupied. We didn't even see all that much of the rebelion in tot (at least as far as named characters go) and there was other stuff to do even with the death star.
"Where were all thease people during tot why didn't they help?"
Maybe they were doing other stuff off screen, or running other mishions? I really don't get why this question is such a big deal?
this is a lowkey insane take i love it, like "why weren't you helping destroy the planet-killer?" "oh you know, my hamster needed a haircut"

Anyone else irritated by how both the lovers and haters of The Last Jedi seem to totally miss the point of the ending of Luke's storyline in that film? Haters ignore that Luke redeems himself for his mistakes and goes out with an epic final act that reaffirms the value of mythic stories and why we need heroes, and thus is an explicitly pro-Jedi moral. So Luke's whole story is about him rejecting the cynicism of old age and failure, and snaps out of that insufferable attitude that tries to paint all sides as equally bastardly. It's a story about WHY the fundamental ethos of Star Wars, the dichotomy of genuine good vs absolute evil represented by the Jedi as avatars of ultimate love, and the Sith/Snoke/Whatever as avatars of ultimate hate, is eternally relevant and something we need for spiritual nourishment during dark times. And.... the lovers ignore this too. They tend to latch onto Luke's bitter words from earlier in the movie about how the Jedi were a corrupt and hypocritical institution that needs to end. These kinds of people are passionately anti-Jedi, and LOOOOOOOOOOVE that for a few minutes, a canon SW movie was saying that they all suck. They also unironically take Kylo Ren's 'let the past die' mantra at face value and think that THIS is the moral of that movie. They look at the messages of past Star Wars with a kind of preening disgust, seeing it as childish and one-note at best, damaging and corrupting for society at large, at worst. It is what I'm going to call 'Knight Templar Syndrome.' I speculate that they think old things are automatically dumb or ignorant or worthless, and can only see it through the lens of 'how can I make this so irredeemably problematic in my brain, so that my rejection of it is therefore morally right, and makes me feel like a great person?' So of course, the Jedi as a representation of the wisdom and value of certain 'traditions' were doomed to be targeted by such transparently performative people. And for the first two hours of TLJ, these fans were having the time of their fuckin life. I am also pretty sure I've seen some posts where they take Yoda's words at the burning tree extremely literally, and think that entire scene is also about the need to destroy the past (the literal burning imagery does kinda give this impression at face-value, to be fair), and that Yoda's advice to Luke is "Move forward and never look back," when he is ACTUALLY saying "Move forward with all that you have learned, the good and bad, and make sure the good parts live on." It's little wonder then, that TLJ diehards are completely convinced that Rise of Skywalker ignored/insulted/changed everything about their darling. If they thought Last Jedi was about the need for an ideological scorched-earth, only to then watch Rise be about the reconciliation of the past with the future, then yup, their vicious reaction to it, rife with conspiracy theories, demonization of JJ and Terrio, etc. makes sense.

Hux loves the high he gets off of Kylo and Y/N practically being obsessed with him.
Hux will never admit it, but it's wired into the way he operates. He thrives off of the weird obsession Kylo and you have for him.
The General isn't stupid. Driven by power and overzealous in his actions, yes. But not stupid.
He knows Kylo has stolen items from his chambers before. Nothing too valuable in his opinion.
An old set of sheets he was going to throw away, pens, crumpled drafts of paperwork, a ratty pair of underwear (freak), and a glove were among his list of "missing items."
But he knew who kept them all and what he was using it for.
Nesting...The gall.
But as long as Kylo didn't overstep, like asking him to aid in building his nest, he couldn't care less.
It's only when he begins sleeping with you that it becomes all too noticeable.
Alphas nest too, although a bit more rarely, as they are expected to share that task with someone.
And it looks like you found your someone.
Only, you don't try to build your own with their things...You just add to Kylo's. Taking old HoloNet news, disposed of cigarettes, one of his gel combs (which he was pissed about) and a chipped coffee mug Hux had in the trash...
Why him? He thought. Why not the both of them since you weren't just fucking one commanding officer? It was ridiculous.
And yet...It did wonders for Armitage's ego.
Two omegas fucking an alpha and yet 2/3 only wanted to decorate their nest in his belongings?
That...Did things for a wolf.
So much so that Armitage decided to treat his two, little bitches in heat.
What was that? Hux couldn't make out your words over Kylo's incessant whining.
Giving his tail a rough tug to gain his attention. And to stop the man from soiling Hux's new sheets as he humped against you furiously. His messy pre release already coating your lower half. Fucked out thing couldn't even put it in before he lost all of what little sense he had...
Sometimes Hux felt bad...Sometimes.
"Cease your noise Ren and let the alpha get an edge in."
His cold tone only making Kylo whimper, as he buries his face into your shoulder. Whining away a little more quietly, while his hips continue to buck into your own.
"I-I asked why the s-sudden call to-oh my f-fuckin'- to...T-To your chambers...?"
"Do I need a reason? Perhaps I just wanted to see you struggle to take Ren again."
His callous tone is almost enough to brush you off, but you see a certain glint in his eye. You know it's more than this. But you don't know if you should should keep questioning...
Not if the way Kylo was practically trying to merge your bodies together had any say in the matter...
You came a little later to the session. Finishing up some work, before sneaking into the General's bedroom.
Only to find Kylo stretched out over Hux's knot, and Hux demeaning him for it.
Poor thing didn't even get to release before he pushed Ren onto you. Who was fully gone into his sub space, leaving you to help guide him.
Hux enjoyed the struggle. He knew how overwhelming Kylo could be for you. He liked to watch you fight against them both. One in pursuit of pleasure and the other aiming for his own high. While you rarely got the pleasure to come at all.
And yet...You kept coming back.
And putting Hux on the same pedestal Ren did.
Weren't the two of you just gluttons for pain?
He snickered as he leaned back and lit another cigarette. The smoke filling up what little room was left in chambers.
You coughed as Kylo winced. The lights buzzing ever so slightly.
Even when fucked out, Kylo knew Hux's rules. "If you break one damned thing in my chambers, I'll have you sharing your heats with a fucking beta officer on the lower deck-" And with a pleased smirk, Armitage reared his gloved hand and smacked the fat of the force user's ass.
The lights continued to buzz as Kylo picked up the pace. Whining from the sting and lightly catching your own entrance from time to time.
It was maddening. Kylo's body on top of you. Trying to get his kwn release and failing. Hux's eyes locked in on each and every move. Stopping the two of you just before either reached their climax. Hot and sticky inside the room, as Hux watched the two of you fall apart.
But...The important part was that he thought you two deserved it.
Yeah...He thought the two of you deserved it 🖤

watched the first 2 episodes of acolyte and so far i like every character except for the main one lol. (also is her name osha as in occupational safety and health administration??)
#star wars#the acolyte#acolyte#the nemoidian faces look really good#definitely the best looking prequel alien from the last few shows#rather ironic to name Miss Hazardous Workplace Conditions 'Osha' lol#the assassin lady was really cool looking#it was pretty funny to see that the 120bby sith assassins are reasonably friendly to each other#and at least help each other somewhat#and then there's poor ventress (and briefly savage ig) who just get force-zapped a bunch#the conversation between sol and vernesta(?) at the end of ep 2 was also pretty funny#vernestra: well we have to take time to Thoughtfully Deliberate this situation so we can respond wisely :)#sol: SHE IS ACTIVELY TRYING TO KILL ME???#poor guy hope the situation works out better for him#hey at least his new padawan (orange theelin) is smart#anyways might draw one of them idk#more inclined to draw nightsisters and soft wars rn but we'll see#whos the sith(?) cant be plageius bc hes a muun right?#how old is palpatine again? was the acolyte project his Sith Senior Thesis or something like that#unrelated but the scene of the jedi running around the ice planet bareheaded was so infuriating lol#PUT ON YOUR HOODS I KNOW YOU HAVE THEM#maybe i'll draw hats for them all#i found it a bit weird that they basically gave osha the anakin background? having her be *eight* specifically when she got to the temple#felt a bit off#kind of like it's taking away from the caution around anakin's induction? since i think koth was four and that was considered 'late'#so for a non-prophecied random kid to show up at age eight?#on the other hand maybe they only got cautious about age after this whole debacle happened? idk i'll see what happens#ok i think thats all
