#ramble#I’m trying to kill my own tastes because I’m going into a fandom with a friend I love so dearly#but our shipping styles are so wildly different I feel bad because I can’t full on fan out with them#in our initial fandom our shipping styles went into two very different directions and I still feel bad#because I’m super picky about my tastes and I ended up hating their current favorite ship to the point of muting it on sight#luckily there’s no one explicitly my type yet so I’m happy shipping stuff with them where they can set the pace#the feeling bad part is that I kinda want them to use me as a sounding board again for fic ideas they have#because I enjoy it dearly!#but I stopped cuz none of our tastes matched up for the longest while TTwTT)9#the joy of communal creation hindered by my picky tastes OTL#vent
