Hotd fans. One of my previous posts got me thinking, and here is my grown-up fancast of the "strong" children of Rhaenyra Targaryen and Laenor Velaryon and Harwin Strong

Jacaerys Targaryen. King of the iron throne and rider of the dragon Vermax

His brother Lucerys Velaryon, Lord of Driftmark and rider of the dragon Arrax

Their younger brother Joffrey Velaryon, prince of the Targaryen dynasty, and rider of the dragon Tyraxes

And lastly, their sister Visenya Velaryon, Princess of the Targaryen dynasty, rider of Vermithor, and the realms delight

In this alternate modern verse, Jace is a bit more...unhinged. He is still responsible, loves his siblings, and wouldn't let anything happen to them. Still a student at University. But in this verse, there is less harmony in his family.

Eventually, Rhaenyra divorces Laenor and stops the polyamorous relationship to marry Daemon. In turn, Laenor and Harwin move out and get their own place. Jace's whole world is turned on its head and he is caught in the middle of fighting, custody fights, and divorce. He is much more removed from his parents in this verse, drinks more, and does some drugs(never around his siblings). He is really just trying to adjust to a world where there is more chaos in his head.

A while back I got a book called "the house of dragons" by Jessica Cluess it was an alright book, good plot had me interested in all the characters and such. to add to it there where dragons. Spoilers: My biggest gripe about the book was it ended with what clearly was sequel bait. I did not like that.

A Final Win

Rhaenyra stood in the empty throne room, staring at the Iron Throne. It was done. Finally, it was all done and the Iron Throne was hers. As it should have been from the very start. If only the path to the Iron Throne had cost her less and had spilled less blood. But she was here now. All of that was done.

Helaena had been the one to bend the knee. Her young sister had offered up her crown and that of her husband to Rhaenyra after the near death of Helaena's children in payment for Lucerys.

Rhaenyra took in a sharp breath as her mind went to her son. Her sweet boy...she quickly turned her thoughts back to the throne. She had it now and she would not let it go. Slowly Nyra made her way to the seat, climbing the steps until she stood in front of the throne. The throne was steeped in blood. The throne that nearly tore her family apart. The throne that cost her a son...a daughter. She was not sure if it was worth it in the end. But she would never say such a thing out loud.

With a shaking hand, Rhaenyra reached out and touched the cool steal. She was queen now. There was no question about it.
