tumblr suddenly has such mixed vibes of reddit adn tumblr due to the migration and honestly those are the two social media sites im comfortable and familiar with so i'm SO comfortable right now

I love the likes.

There. I’ve said it. I love the likes. Are reblogs great? Of course they are cause I want more likes! But I don’t reblog everything that makes me smile either, mainly just the things that resonate with me most or I can’t stop thinking about; because let’s face it I spend a LOT of time mindlessly scrolling and clicking so my blog would contain everything in the universe. I know the random things I say and post aren’t for everyone’s blogs and that’s ok!

But to know I made you briefly exhale out of your nose while sitting on the train to work? That’s all I need in my life. It completes me, makes me want to keep spewing out these random thoughts, and hopefully tomorrow I can make you roll your eyes and sigh while giving me that pity heart!

One thing I love about Tumblr that wasn't a thing on Reddit is that I can just write whatever the fuck text post I want. No titles. No putting text on images. No algorithms or karma. Just fuckin splatter your mind onto the screen and people will see it. Like god intended.

My reddit protest so far has been:

- To move the app to a different location on my phone and replace that spot with Discord

- To request all my data from reddit

- To log in (very infrequently) only to… upvote content related to the protest, vote in polls to keep subs protesting, find all the relevant discord links so I can log in even less frequently while still getting that sweet timewastey content

- To join the protest subreddit (r/save3rdparty apps?) and r/blind

- And now… to join Tumblr. Which is about to replace Discord in the prime app spot. Hello!

And after being here for all of five minutes, I think it’s going to be a lot easier to do a proper reddit boycott. Fuck u/spez.
