I love how the Good Witch Azura series was just "Human Garbage" that made it to the Boiling Isles by complete accident via Tibbles and his merry band of scammers. I like how they appeared in the Book Nook as a lazy cash grab and because of the aforementioned Garbage status of the books, no one was picking them up.

No one except Amity.

Amity who didn't know the books were from the Human realm, and Amity who either didn't know or didn't care that this book series was extremely unpopular with everybody else.

She just...unknowingly gravitated towards this random, and by all unbiased accounts not very good, book series from the human realm. All the while there was Luz in the human realm, also getting obsessed with this niche book series no one else seemed to really care about.

Owl House is a Soulmates Au where instead of the first words your Soulmate speaks to you being tattooed on your skin or whatever, your soulmate will share your obsession with niche and obscure media no one else cares about.

Luz looks a lot like the villain(villainous Lucy) from The Good Witch Azura. They have the same hair(when straightened), same scar, and both wear(or had worn, in Luz’s case) rainbow clothes. I know it’s already stated in the wiki that Lucy somewhat parallels Luz but I just thought it was interesting

OWL HOUSE FACT #44: Amity has stopped Luz from getting into internet arguments over the Azura franchise on at least one occasion. Usually it just takes a kiss on the cheek.

The two also considered making a channel about the franchise but realized they were too busy with their day-to-day lives together to truly commit to it.

Collectors have royalty, including a Queen and Princess

Alright. (rubbing my temples) So we now have the assets for the book pages of the collectors species lore book. And uh, although we don't have the full next page, what we know now is... flooring.

A quick transcript from what I can make out:

Uhhhhh.

Soooo...

Yeah, I'm guessing "The Elders" being some sort of hierarchical authority figures is pretty much confirmed, first of all. Maybe they're the royal family?

We can't say for sure if our Collector is part of the royal family though. He could be either related or could be just granted a blessing, or even he's just nobility.

We do know there's a Queen and a Princess though. And uh. Hey guys?

That princess was apparently sent to the "dimension of humans"?

And she "wields a family baton to defeat evil"?

UHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

Ultimately, nothing about this is confirmed. But isn't it at the very least suspicious that Azura has star imagery in her design, has a staff (which could be seen as a baton) and journeys to "defeat evil" and is best known in the human realm?

Also. Smaller scale evidence in the face of everything but this post does point out how the shape of Azura's crown is mirrorred by the shape of the Archives.

I wonder if Azura's story is based on a real person after all... Or alien princess, I should say.

Although, being honest here, considering what other collectors have done in the past, I would be incredibly wary here of what they consider to be "defeating evil".

I always love when we get these quick little excerpts from Boiling Isles media. Luz could've spared herself the trouble of looking for Good Witch Azura's author if she'd looked more closely at the article about human literature washing up on shore! I also wonder how old the newspaper article about Philip's diary is, and, for that matter, why Philip donated the diary? Perhaps, considering how Luz never ends up getting much objectionable stuff from it, the diary was actually more like an autobiography released as a PR stunt to try and change his terrible reputation?

All those Azura Lumity fankid haters being like "omg fandom's headcanon of Luz and Amity naming their kid 'Azura' is so cringe!' As if the fear of being seen as cringe would ever be a deterrent to either Luz or Amity.

Right. Luz and Amity: two characters that have always been shown to be normal about their Good Witch Azura obsession and who both end the show clearly caring about what other people think about them and changing their behaviors because of it.
