So I checked out the roleplay mode in the new Dandy update and yeah, I like it! I played on a private server so I was pretty much alone but still!

The thing I like about the roleplay mode is the Toon rooms. Not every Toon got a room but the ones we can visit are still pretty cool! Also, they expanded on the fact that the Toons each have a codename (for example, Astro's codename is M-002).

My comments for each room under the cut.

Poppy's room is pretty cute! She has a drawing from Toodles hanging on her vanity, and she has some spare bows on one of her sidetables. She also seems to be a cola connoisseur.

Brightney's room doesn't seem to feature her own bio poster/introduction card, interestingly enough. There's also a to-do list that has everything marked off except "make a new to-do list". She's at least on top of her lightbulbs and batteries though.

Razzle and Dazzle having a projector came as a surprise to me. Other than that, no real comment (because I don't know what else to say about it).

Glisten's room was teased with the image of his vanity. Also, there's a box of donuts.

To the surprise of...no one, I guess, Goob and Scraps share a room together. Which one is R-004 and which one is R-005? I can't tell. Goob has a teddy bear on his bed, and Scraps has several balls of yarn on her side of the room.

Boxten has...a lot of boxes. He also seems to write out his thoughts on paper. Sure fits with his personality!

And finally...what on EARTH happened here!? I did expect punching bags and perhaps a few holes in the walls in Shrimpo's room, but the fact that there are holes that go ALL THE WAY THROUGH, no exterior shielding or nothing, is surprising! But then again, he's perpetually angry...

Anyway, that's all I have. Time to go hunt for Dandicus.

Got enflamed ribs again (yay e.e) and got put on an antiinflammatory medicine that makes me suuuper weak and so dizzy i almost passed out getting up to answer my apartment door, and I think maybe the meds are what is making my anxiety spike like crazy :I Can I get some cute animal memes for comfort?

Awww, inflamed ribs and dizziness sound evil :( Being dizzy all the time would spike anxiety in me too. I hope your side effects stop soon or you can try a new medicine! I'm not the number one in animal memes, but can I introduce you to my new favorite subreddit??

“You’re so cute when you’re sleepy”

It had been a long case. They all felt long, but this one especially so. It had lasted almost three weeks. But they caught the unsub and the man was obviously guilty. When they did find him, the team was frustrated that it had taken them so long. They got a full confession right off the bat, though, meaning that when they did catch the guy, they got to go right home.

The case being as long and frustrating as it was meant that everyone was exhausted. There hadn’t been much sleeping, maybe a few hours here and there when they felt they had finally exhausted all of their efforts for the time being, so they didn’t even bother trying to stay in a hotel for another night. Everyone just wanted to go home and sleep in their own bed with their respective partners.

Aaron and Spencer were dying to see Jack. Phone calls and pictures from Jessica just weren’t cutting it anymore. They outed themselves to the team about a month and a half ago. It wasn’t intentional, but they were glad it was out in the open. Trying to keep it a secret for over a year had been tiring. Because of this ridiculously long case, they hadn’t had the chance to have a family get-together and finally act like a couple in front of them like they wanted to.

The jet ride home finally gave them their opportunity. Aaron and Spencer took the double seat by the window, Rossi and Morgan across from them, JJ and Emily on the couch to their right. Yes, they’d all been together for the past weeks, but they needed some time together where they didn’t have to be professional.

Anyway, after the jet took off, the group had settled into idle conversation, talking about how they couldn’t wait to get home, about what was waiting there for them. At some point, Spencer had sat up and pushed the arm rest that was between his seat and Aaron’s out of the way and pressed himself up against Aaron, shoulder to knee. Aaron placed his arm around Spencer’s shoulder, and soon Spencer was folding his legs under him and curling into Aaron’s side, resting his head on Aaron’s shoulder.

It wasn’t something the team was expecting to see, they had never seen this side of the pair before, but none of them were going to say anything; they deserved to be happy. Emily may or may not have snapped a picture to send to Garcia. The conversation lulled until the two men were settled, and when it picked back up, the pair didn’t join in. They seemed to be lost in their own world, whispering words quiet enough that the rest of them could hear.

Aaron eventually rejoined the conversation when JJ started talking about Henry, but Spencer stayed lost in his own world, curled into Aaron’s side, half asleep. Soon, the jet was landing and Aaron had to nudge Spencer off him so they could put their seatbelts on.

As soon as Aaron shifted to sit up, Spencer let out a groan. “Mmfh, Aaron, no. Comfortable.”

Aaron let out a low chuckle. “Come on, Spence, we’re landing.”

Spencer gave Aaron one of his kitten glares before sitting up and settling back into his own seat. Aaron leaned over and gave him a chaste kiss, hoping it would make up for not being able to cuddle again until they got home. Spencer was sporting a huge grin when Aaron pulled away (the rest of the team were too, Aaron and Spencer just weren’t paying attention to them)

“You’re so cute when you’re sleepy,” Aaron whispered to him before he settled back into his seat. The girls seemed to have heard that one, though, as they both let out an obnoxious “Aww!

Over the holiday times, I sat down to actually read some back issues and came across one that honestly, I should’ve read a long freaking time ago because... well, just look at it.

This is Tim’s debut as Robin, his first official outing from what I can see (unless you count him taking the Robin suit to help Batman & Nightwing against Two Face, but that was unsanctioned, and the time he wore a ski mask and went to rescue Batman from Scarecrow). The story is appropriately titled Debut.

There are too many good panels to post without posting the entire book, so... I’m just gonna post as many as I can

First of all. “Your show, pal!” Pal.

Oh and we’ve all seen this next panel before. Bruce recognizes these kids because he’s funding their college tuition, so he’s gonna go chase em down, and Tim... is nervous.

so after batman’s ass flies away (thank you mr breyfogle a+) he goes back to his batcave where harold & alfred are watching soap operas. 

I just wanted to include a panel of Ace who instead of being a big boi great dane, is now like a shaggy sheepdog mix or something, whatever it is, it’s great. what a goob boi

So anyway Batman goes to track down these boys as Bruce, I guess they live in an apartment or something. Then he does This.

All like “hey pal. :( what’s up sport? absent father huh? well no worries bud. i’m your dad now. showing up to your room. to parent you. deal with it”

god can bruce stop being a dad for .00001 seconds? no.

this story about chico also seems to mirror jason which is really interesting, what with the absent criminal father and a mother in the hospital. it doesn’t help that these kids are also living in crappy conditions and that they’re also early college-age, which is what jason would have been at this point in canon, had he lived.

so yeah. bruce has Feels.

don’t worry bruce will use his Money to fix everything lol

But one of the best things about this is... Cola.

Anywho the main story of the issue gets solved, Bruce gets to punch a guy in the face as Bruce, Tim does a few things, Tim visits his father in the hospital as Robin, and then this.

Before we close out here, look at Batman’s reaction to Jim and Sarah getting married. fjklgdjdfhkls? CUTE

there is a lot more to this issue and it’s all pretty good though the main plot is, well, not my favorite, but everything else kind of makes up for it.

It also proves that Bruce wasn’t completely grimdark after Jason died. Which is good, I want this Bruce to be canon. He’s fricking adorable.

Overall I think this is a great first issue for Tim as Robin, not sure why it never caught my eye before. It’s just so fun and light for the most part. DC, take notes!

I stood alone in the large shower room and rested my head against my arms, leaning into the wall. I had locked the door behind me, hoping no one in the crew would follow me. Then there was a loud knock at the metal door.

"Y/n? You in there?"

I debated not answering. There was another knock.

"I know you're not actually showering, will you just come talk to me."

I turned around and slammed my back into the wall.

"Please?"

He sounded a little broken now. I walked over to the door and unlocked it, walking back to the wall. Once I was situated again the door opened slowly.

"Baby?"

I crossed my arms over my chest and looked down at the shower drain. He walked to me slowly and held my arms, trying to lean down a bit and look at my face.

"If you don't talk to me I'll have no other choice than to carry you out of here myself."

I looked him in the eyes.

"I'd like to see you try."

He smiled at me.

"There's that voice I love to hear."

I cracked a small smile, blushing at his words. He always new just how to get that out of me, all my blood rushing to my face.

"What are you doing in here ry?"

He squeezed my arms a bit.

"I was looking for you of course."

"That's not the right answer to my question."

He squished his hands into my arms and pulled them down to my sides, taking my hands in his.

"I talked to the guys and we decided that as soon as tour is over we are gonna start looking for new tech crew. People who are gonna accept all of us for who we are."

I looked down at our hands and he swung them between us.

"I don't want to stand in the way of peoples jobs ry."

He dropped my one hand and tilted my chin up so I'd look at him.

"If they can't be professional at work that's their problem, not mine. Bullying anywhere isn't okay."

I nodded and stepped into him, wrapping my arms tightly around his waist and shoving my face into his chest.

"Thank you."

I mumbled into his chest. He brought his hand up and stroked my hair lightly, kissing the top of my head."

"Anything for you princess."

I looked up at him and he smiled at me.

"I love you Ryan."

His face went straight for a second before he smiled the biggest smile I'd ever seen. He kissed me gently.

"I love you too y/n."

He pulled my arms away from his body and took my hand, leading me out of the shower room and down the hall of the venue.

"So, what does my baby want for dinner?"

I laughed.

"If I didn't know any better I'd say you were trying to make me bigger."

He looked at me and blushed.

"Just wanna make sure you stay comfortable."

I shook my head at him.

"Of course you do. Whose the chubby chaser now?"

We kept walking.

"Hey! I am not. I just like my-"

"Women bigger boned?"

I sent him a look and he stopped.

"No. I was going to say, before you so rudely interrupted, I like my your better the way you are. And if that means making you eat because I know you forget all the time then so be it."

He squeezed my hand and kept pulling me down the hallway to the back door.

"Fine, I'll give you that one, I do forget to eat most days."

He pulled me up the stairs of the bus.

"See, it's a good thing I make you eat, or you wouldn't stay perfect."

I laughed at him and shook my head.

"I am far from perfect."

He sat down on the couch and brought me to sit with him.

"Blasphemy."

I rolled my eyes at him and watched him intently as he grabbed my legs and pulled them into his lap.

"Cheeseball."

He stuck his tongue out at me.

"Is there something so wrong with that?"

I shook my head and leaned forward for him to kiss me.

"Absolutely not."

He smiled widely at me.

"I love being your cheeseball."

I held his head in my hands and scratched at his beard.

"That's nice baby."

He ran his hand slowly up my thigh until it hit my waist and he pulled me a little closer to him. He hummed in response.

"I sure hope so."

He leaned a little closer, half hugging me now. I was still holding him, my fingers loosely in his neck as I ran my thumbs over his jaw line.

"You two figure things out?"

Balz said, announcing himself as he came in from outside. Ryan just nodded, not once tearing his eyes away from mine.

"Tech crew can't bully my baby if the people on it are replaced."

He looked up at balz and I just studied his face.

"So the guys were serious."

I looked up at Josh, Ryan had said they all talked about this. Did they not?

"As the plague."

He nodded in understanding and made his way to the fridge.

"Good to know, I wasn't entirely sure since you all didn't invite me to your little meeting."

He pulled the fridge door open and pouted.

"Dude did you drink the last fruit punch?"

I held my hand up.

"Sorry Josh, that was me. I didn't have lunch and needed something to tide me over for a bit."

He grabbed a different flavor and closed the door. He sighed.

"It's fine, we can go get more at the next stop."

Ryan looked back at me.

"Speaking of you not eating lunch, you never answered me."

I raised a brow at him.

"What do you want for dinner?"

My eyes went wide with realization. How did I managed to only consume two rockstars today and nothing else?  I looked down a little guilty.

"Whatever you want is fine with me."

He sent me a look.

"So taco Bell."

Balz laughed, that's where I always wanted to go, even if I didn't say so.

"If you want that sure."

"So taco Bell."

I smiled and shook my head at him before kissing him quickly.

"Taco Bell sounds great."

He patted my leg and I swung them to the floor.

"Taco Bell it is then."

He stood up and offered his hand to me.

"Balz you want anything while we're out?"

We both looked at him as he took a drink.

"No, you two go have fun, enjoy your dinner together."

I nodded and followed Ryan outside into the cool night air, breathing in the scent of the forests surrounding the venue.

"It's so pretty isn't it?"

I said, looking up at the sky.

"Yeah, you are."

I looked down at him and playfully smacked his chest.

"I wasn't talking about me you goob."

He kissed my forehead.

"That's okay, you're prettier than any star in the sky anyways."

I dropped my head and pushed it into his chest, half falling into him.

"You really like making me blush don't you?"

I said into his shirt. He pulled me back.

"Of course I do, when your face gets all pink is how I know it's working."

I raised a brow.

"How what's working?"

He wrapped his arms around my shoulders to hug me.

"The love spell I cast on you."

He winked at me.

"Yeah sure cause of the two of us you'd be the one to practice magic."

I said sarcastically.

"I know, but it sounded like a good excuse."

"I love you loser."

He leaned back and looked at me.

"So I get two in one night?"

I rolled my eyes at him.

"Don't push your luck sitkowski."

He laughed at me.

"Not me, I don't know what you're talking about."

Then the Uber he had ordered rolled up to the fence gate and he motioned to it.

"Your chariot awaits m'lady."

i feel like sam is also fairly reserved in the sense that he’s not a very high strung person; he seems super go with the flow, do whatever comes naturally type of dude

also definitely the type to open up once you get to know him

you understand each other so well

like all it takes is a look for both of you to be on the same wavelength

you def get an eye roll but he’s smiling all the same 

also picture this: late night in a diner where it’s just the two of you and a few scattered, lone patrons in the joint

you’re sitting across from him in a booth, sleeves rolled up to your elbows and a burger in your hands and neither of you can stop laughing

the atmosphere is generally dismal and grey but you two light it up like no other

the middle aged lady behind the register loves watching you two whenever you both come in because you guys remind her of her and her husband back when they were young
