God that new update for tgs I need to just rant about so if you haven’t read it yet spoilers are under the cut! Pictures at the end!

Ok ok, so it’s hard to put my thoughts in the words but I had to get them out somewhere and I usually do that on tumblr,

Ok first the dehumanizing of Hyde? Like yeah he and Jekyll share a body but that dosent mean Hyde isn’t human, he has is own personality, his own opinions, he isn’t just like some creature that you can dehumanize because Hyde has feelings (he’s my little anxious boy🫶)

Just the whole Frankenstein outing Hyde (and therefore Jekyll) thing is just fucking insane and made me kind of mad. I mean it gives the same vibes as publicity outing someone as gay, not to mention that Jekyll also finally trusted his childhood idol and poured his heart out to her just for her to tell everyone. I mean I get that she’s excited but it makes sense why she said scientists loses friends to become a true mad scientist because it’s like she dosent think when she’s excited about something, she’s blinded in a way.

Like this is something Jekyll needed to tell Lanyon himself! The two are dating now (I think at least) it’s better that Lanyon gets told in a slow and considerate way, not just being told by someone else in front of everyone.

But that’s also what makes this scene so great and impactful, it’s so high stakes and it makes you feel on the edge of your seat to know what happens next week which is how almost all the chapters feel, The glass scientists is just so well written!

With that said though I still like Frankenstein, I think she is a flawed character and that’s what makes her great. She’s not perfect, she’s not this perfect role model Jekyll thought her out to be and the story telling in that fact alone is beautiful. (BUT IF SHES THE REASON LANYON DIES OH MY GOD FRANKENSTEIN!)

No but it all seriousness im nervous as fuck for the next update and my mind is spiraling, i have to wait a week for the reveal????? WHY! I NEED IT NOW!!

My friend who just reas Tgs last night is worried that Lanyon is gonna die (She hasn’t even read like the original book) But in her exact words she said “Hes gonna drown in his tears” and I dont think its not a possibility tbh

Even though i made a joke about Jekyll facing the consequences of his actions god damn hyde why now, why does he have to do it now! I mean it’s beautifully written because im on the edge of my seat right now!

How am I supposed to sleep knowing that Jekyll’s secret is gonna be revealed??? But also what Hyde says too “You think he’s so good? You think he’s so pure? I’ll show you what kind of man he really is”

I want to hear that in a show, because the line delivery would be crazy, and just ASHGJEHAHHSHDHSS Jesus im so scared!

How will everyone react? What will happen with Jekyll, god damn why is this so nerve racking! But its also like, Yes Jekyll did kinda do this to himself but he did it because he hates that part of himself, and now its just gonna be shown to the world that hes not perfect, and hes gonna have a panic attack and im going to panic with him
