This just plays into the reasons why I'm determined to make queer romance ft. black folks like myself cuz, whether they're shipped or not as characters, they deserve to be seen more often in media.

One of the only ways we're gonna get out of this is if MORE queer media is made and folks are allowed to see all shades of queerness within them. All without ambiguity showing up.

Nov. 20th is Trans Day of Remembrance! Where we remember those who were lost to transphobia, discrimination, and su*cide.

We make up 1% of the population and are constantly the topic of discussion. I've been told I'm broken, r*trded, and more. Others have been attacked verbally/physically to a point of no longer being here. The best thing we can do is remember we're not alone, and outlive the hate. Spread kindness and love, and remember, it gets better.

You don't have to be out, you don't have to be alone, you are not broken, there are people who will understand you. :) Please be safe.
