bluebird is pt 2 of our gc's group of oc boyfriends, this time it's dick and a huge scary actually gentle and sweet renegade talon named blue (named that by dick bc the talon kept bringing him little presents like a crow and the presents were always blue). dick saved blue's life and then blue proceeded to follow dick around in the shadows to protect him in return, until one day dick caught him leaving a present at his windowsill in the rain and invited him in, as seen here in the bluebird bible by mammutblog

1. What made you ship it? i'm pretty sure it was @vinelark who came up with the concept of dick falling in love with a talon while we were giving dick the oc boyfriend treatment. our concept is that blue is from the alternate universe where dick was also a talon, and they knew each other as poor kids who were experimented on. but dick in that universe died, and then blue was transported to this universe, where dick saved his like. what, am i not supposed to react to that like a slobbering hyena??

2. What are your favorite things about the ship? it's the dynamic of dick seeing this huge scary monster of a man and still seeing a person and not an abomination, and saving that man, and then caring about him and offering him a home. and blue is so loyal to him for this but thinks he's undeserving of anything else. it's how dick is patient and kind while blue heals mentally and physically from all of the horrid torture he's endured, while he figures out how to be a person again. also big protective boyfriend and twinky flippy boyfriend

3. Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship? once again i'll just use this as an opportunity to share anything about them and i'll say that when blue is free of the talons he starts growing his hair out until it's long and beautiful and luscious and dick enjoys braiding it :')

fin. ... 6/6 ab5042qjq ... Welp, it's finally here. The sixth and final? entry of the main 'I Remember' limited comics. It's been a long and expensive journey since the release of Part 1, but I'm honestly happy to have seen it through to the end ^^ I realize, in many ways, this whole thing's just a glorified OC-insert and crossover, but, at the end of the day this just goes to show how much a series like Tales of Arcadia can mean to a person, how a good story and characters can inspire you and what you can take away from them upon reaching the end. Case in point, when TOA's saga ended with the "Rise of the Titans" movie, I think it's to say the majority, uh... wasn't too happy with how it all concluded, and I'll admit, the desire to create Luke stemmed from a desire to...okay, not exactly "fix" that frown-inducing ending, but, expand upon it in a way so it's at least a little bit less hair-pullingly frustrating; thanks a lot, Guillermo del Toro. xD Speaking of which, Luke's story and this little AU of mine will continue in other formats, but it may be quite some time before he appears in any more comics; hope that's understandable. x}

I want to also give a huge thank you to @muku-gc . When @undeadchestnut disappeared, they really did me a solid by stepping in to draw part six, thank you so SO much, friend ^^ One more, thank you to @roesavalonsigma for allowing me to cameo her special roleplay character, Roes Sigma, who was also something of a cornerstone for Luke, but that's another story ;) I may make a master post providing a link to each comic in order, we'll see. Until then...thanks for sticking with me, means a lot :) ~HSeeker

1. What made you ship it? well that would be when one day in october tumblr user mammutblog, who had only ever encountered the quite twinky and fruity jason from wayne family adventures up to this point, said "i think it's funny if jason is the only straight one in the family" to which the entire gc very politely said, no fucking way. and then tumblr user tigerjpg said "i think he should have a boyfriend" and then santi sprung fully formed out of the top of their head like athena.

2. What are your favorite things about the ship? i just love thinking about jason having someone outside his family who loves and understands him, someone who didn't know him before he died and therefore can't be disappointed in who he is now. someone who matches his viciousness, who grew up in gotham like him, who sees all the ugliness and still finds things that are beautiful and worthwhile. someone he can be silly and lighthearted with, someone who's always on his side and no one else's. also someone who's fucking normal for once

3. Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship? i think any opinion about sanjay is an unpopular opinion so i'll say that i think jason has a normal sized cock and santi appreciates that about him
