"i’m home!” slipping off your converse, you put the pair inside the shoe cabinet near the entrance and close the wooden door in a sigh before trudging in. the lights in the living room are dimmed, something your parents would never do. it catches you a tad bit off guard but nevertheless you try not to think too much. considering the silence surrounding you they most definitely are out for work and as usual forgot to turn off the lights. with cautious steps you walk futher inside, with all intention to sneak in a pack of chips from the kitchen like a thief even though at this point you’ve practically come to the conclusion you’re home alone, but one can never be too careful.
a cat like shriek leaves you when your eyes land on the back of a figure sitting on the couch, your phone almost slipping through the grasp of your fingers as your eyes widen in shock. startled, your heart more or less stopping in a screeching brake for a split second.
the man visibly flinches at the sound of your voice,“who are you?!-” standing up and turning around to face you,“jay?”
“god y/n, you’re gonna make me deaf,” he complains, face contorting into a tender, teasing expression; a small smile gracing his lips as he walks around the couch and leans against the top of the backrest. you watch as he looks at you, so softly that it makes you wonder, has anyone ever in your entire life looked at you like that? a look radiating such gentleness. maybe not, not until now that is.
“you got home early today, i thought you’d be out for two more hours?” his brows raise in a questioning manner as his gaze shifts to go over the time showing on your living room clock.
“uh, well i was working on a project the last few days but i finished it yesterday so,” you speak unsure if you should even be telling him this instead of asking what he’s doing in here.
“oh okay, that’s good,” taking off his overcoat he walks into the kitchen, folding up his dress shirt’s sleeves on the way,“what do you want for lunch then? do you want to eat takeout? or should i cook you something? you must be hungry,” he takes out a bottle of cold water from the fridge and pours in a glass for you, sliding the cup on the countertop towards you as you approach the space in hesitant and confused steps.
his questions dumbfound you, leaving your brain at a loss, still dazed from his presence before you,“what? why are you asking me that? and what are you doing in my house?” you ask, looking completely clueless when jay turns to look at you expecting it to be some kind of a sarcastic remark. but the lost look in your eyes has him surrendering even if it does turn out to be some joke.
“taking care of you,” jay smiles, straightening his posture in an upright position and moving closer to the counter across which you stand,“technically, babysitting,”
“babysitting? me? but,” it baffles you, is this some prank or are you supposed to know something you don’t? your mind’s mechanical gears slow down, friction arising in between them. you don’t remember anything regarding or relating to the term babysitting. there’s no way he’s serious.. right?
“doll, didn’t your parents tell you they’re gonna be out on a business trip for a week? they asked me to look after you while they’re gone,” what.
yes these past few days when you couldn’t catch a hidden, one-sided glimpse of him in the elevator you did feel weird. and you definitely did subconsciously wish to run across him again, even though you were on a mission to avoid him, but this; this is not what you would’ve liked, this is not what you wanted. this is far from what you can handle, what your messed up self can accept.
“no?” the look on your face has jay almost spilling a laugh, the way your features contort to a whiny crying expression. how cute. he thinks.
“that’s okay, now you know,” trying to imitate you, he scrushes up his nose in a slight pout, reaching out to pat your head twice. and there goes your heart. you never thought you’d like head pats this much, you only remember getting them twice from your father but it felt different. it used to annoy you because he would mess up your hair but the way jay caressed your head it felt you had accomplished something, so gentle and careful yet still close to a ruffle.

GENTLE LOVE : GOJO SATORU, GETO SUGURU
“loving you is the easiest thing,” he murmured against your skin, his voice low and comforting, as if he was sharing a secret meant only for you.
wc. 8,9k | m.list
it was almost midnight when you found yourself grumbling under your breath, cursing your two upperclassmen for dragging you into this late-night escapade. you tugged at the hem of your hello kitty pink pajamas, the fabric flapping slightly in the cool breeze that swept through the empty park. your hair, loose and free, danced in the wind as you shivered, regretting not grabbing a jacket on your way out.
the park was eerily quiet, the moonlight casting long shadows from the trees onto the pathway. as you trudged along, your slippers making soft thuds on the pavement, you finally spotted them: gojo and geto, casually lounging like it wasn’t nearing the early hours of the morning.
gojo, still dressed in his uniform, was sitting on a bench with an ice cream cone in hand, his legs stretched out in front of him as if he had all the time in the world. his bright white hair practically glowed under the dim park lights, a stark contrast to the dark surroundings. next to him, geto stood with his usual calm demeanor, already changed into his comfortable, oversized attire—a black sweatshirt and sweatpants. he had an ice cream cone of his own, and a plastic bag dangled from his wrist, likely filled with more midnight snacks they somehow thought were worth dragging you out here for.
you approached them, your face scrunched in annoyance. “you idiots do realize it's almost midnight, right?” you crossed your arms, trying to maintain your irritation despite the amusing sight of the two of them indulging in ice cream as if they were on a casual afternoon outing.
“of course we do,” gojo responded nonchalantly, licking his ice cream and ignoring your glare before gesturing to the empty space beside him, “come sit down and stop complaining already.”
geto chimed in, a sly smile playing at his lips as he took a bite from his own ice cream. “don't be such a buzzkill. you're here now, might as well enjoy the night air with us.” you had barely taken a seat on the bench when gojo's grin widened, his eyes raking over your hello kitty pink pajamas. he tried to stifle a laugh, but it quickly burst out, echoing through the quiet park. “seriously? hello kitty? aren’t you a little old for that?” he teased, his tone dripping with amusement as he nudged you playfully with his elbow.
geto chuckled as well, eyeing your pajamas. “gotta admit it's pretty adorable, though.”
gojo leaned in closer, still grinning. “aww, look at you, all cozy in your kitty jammies,” he teased, pinching the fabric at your shoulder between his fingers, “you look like you should be tucked in bed and not out here with us.”
geto chuckled, shaking his head as he eyed your outfit with an amused smirk. “i thought you’d come out in something at least a little more... you know, grown-up,” he added, his voice calm but clearly entertained. “i mean, it’s cute, but definitely not what i expected from you.”
you glared at them both, cheeks flushing with a mix of embarrassment and annoyance. “well, excuse me for not having a runway-worthy wardrobe at midnight,” you shot back, crossing your arms defensively over your chest. “at least i’m dressed for comfort, unlike someone who’s still in his uniform,” you added, shooting a pointed look at gojo.
gojo chuckled, patting the edge of his uniform blazer. “hey, don't hate on my style. this uniform's part of my charm.” geto leaned back against the backrest after he was taking a sit, still wearing that smirking. “more like a part of your ego,” he quipped, earning a roll of the eyes from gojo.
“oh, shut up,” gojo retorted, returning his full attention to you. “besides, you're the one who couldn't be bothered to change out of those baby pajamas.”
geto snorted at gojo’s remark, his smirk turning into a full-blown grin. “isn’t it past your bedtime already?” he asked, raising an eyebrow playfully as he glanced at you. you shot him a sassy look, crossing your arms and giving him a mock glare. “oh, please,” you retorted. “like you’re one to talk about bedtime. you’re the one hanging out in oversized sweatpants like a toddler, what are you? 2? at least my pajamas are cute.”
geto chuckled, shaking his head at your response. “touché,” he admitted, clearly enjoying the back-and-forth. gojo snickered, watching the banter between you two with amusement. then he turned his smirk towards you, a mischievous glimmer in his eyes. “you know, speaking of toddlers, with those cute little jammies, you're practically begging for a bedtime story.”
he leaned in closer, his gaze lingering on the cartoon kitties printed on your pjs, “you want us to tuck you in and read you a goodnight tale?” you groaned in annoyance, rolling your eyes so hard you nearly gave yourself a headache. “oh, for the love of—stop it already,” you grumbled, standing up from the bench and making a show of sulking.
you started to walk back toward the dorm, but gojo was quick to act. He leaped up and blocked your path, a playful grin still plastered on his face. “oh no, you don’t,” he said, holding out his hand to gently stop you. “we’re not letting you escape this easily.”
geto chuckled as he didn't move an inch, watching the scene unfold with amusement. “come on, don’t be like that. we’re just having fun.” gojo's hand on your shoulder was firm, his grip gentle but preventing you from escaping. his smirk widened as he watched you pout with annoyance. “yeah, where do you think you're going? we didn't drag you out here to ditch us now.”
geto chimed in, still slouching on the bench. “you're stuck with us for a while still. so sit back down and enjoy the night. or are you just gonna sulk all night?” you groaned loudly, feeling the frustration bubble up again. “ugh, so annoying,” you muttered under your breath, stomping your feet as you turned back toward the bench.
gojo chuckled, satisfied that you were returning to the bench. he took his place beside you again, his arm casually slung over the backrest.
“see, that's a good girl,” he teased, his smirk widening, “no need to throw a tantrum.” geto rolled his eyes at his comment but still had that smirk on his face. “yeah, don't be such a drama queen,” he chimed in, enjoying the moment. gojo’s smirk softened into a more genuine smile as he held out his ice cream to you. “here, have some more,” he said, his tone a bit more soothing. “it’ll help with that attitude of yours.”
geto followed suit, handing you his ice cream with a playful grin. “yeah, we don’t want you sulking the whole night. we’re just here to have a good time,” he added, leaning back and clearly enjoying your reactions.
you took the ice cream from them, feeling a bit of the tension ease away as you accepted their offering. “alright, alright,” you said, though your annoyance had already started to melt away. “i’ll take the ice cream. just stop with the teasing for a bit.” both of them exchanged amused glances, their grins not fading. “deal,” gojo said, giving you a reassuring pat on the shoulder. “now, let’s just enjoy the night.”
you took a bite of the ice cream, the cold sweetness helping to calm your irritation. despite their constant teasing, you found yourself smiling, realizing that, for all their antics, they really did make these late-night outings enjoyable.
gojo and geto exchanged a satisfied look as they saw your mood gradually improving. watching your expression soften with each bite of the ice cream was like a victory for them.
“see, we knew the sweet stuff would mellow you out,” gojo commented, a smug smile playing at his lips. geto chuckled, nodding, “yeah, nothing like some ice cream to chase away the grumpy mood.” he leaned back, stretching his legs out in front of him. “we've still got some snacks left, though. want something else?”
you took another bite of the ice cream, feeling your mood continue to improve. with a contented sigh, you looked at geto and shook your head. “i’m okay for now,” you said, offering them a small smile. “i’ll take the snacks later.”
as you continued eating your ice cream, you felt geto’s fingers gently run through the back of your hair, combing through it with a tender touch. the sensation was soothing, and you couldn’t help but notice how often they found little ways to be physically close to you, even if it was just a gentle touch.
you glanced at geto, his eyes soft as he focused on the simple gesture. you had come to realize over the past months that this was their way of staying connected—always finding subtle ways to show affection without overstepping any boundaries.
gojo saw the tender moment between you and geto, his hand in your hair, and he felt a pang of jealousy. he knew geto had always been more openly affectionate, but he didn't want to be left out.
without a word, he scooted closer to you on the bench, his thigh touching yours. he leaned in, invading your personal space, and feigned a shiver. “god, it's cold tonight,” he commented, his voice taking on a mocking tone, “you think i could share some of your warmth, princess? it's freezing.”
“you guys really are touch-starved, huh?” you commented with a soft chuckle, your tone light but acknowledging the need you’d noticed. geto smiled, his fingers continuing their gentle movement. “just a bit,” he admitted, looking content. “it’s nice to be close to you. we don’t get to do this often enough.”
you rolled your eyes playfully but couldn’t deny the warmth spreading through you. “well, as long as it’s not too overwhelming, i guess i can handle it,” you said, leaning into his touch and letting yourself relax a bit more.
gojo let out a mock gasp of offense, his smirk not fading. “did you just call us touch-starved?” he feigned a pout, raising an eyebrow, “we're not that desperate, are we?”
despite his protests, he was secretly enjoying the fact that you were acknowledging their fondness for physical touch. he leaned even closer to you, his body pressing against yours, “oh come on, admit it. you love the attention.”
you raised an eyebrow, giving gojo a sarcastic look. “love the attention? from constantly getting surrounded by a couple of giant babies? not really,” you replied, your tone dripping with mock exasperation.
gojo feigned a look of shock, clutching a hand to his chest. “oh, wounded,” he dramatically exclaimed, a smirk still on his face. “we're not babies! we're just, you know, physically affectionate.”
geto chuckled at the exchange, his hand continuing its gentle stroking through your hair, “yeah, we can't help it if we crave your company. you're like our walking, talking stress reliever.” you tilted your head slightly, a playful grin spreading across your face as you looked at geto. “so, am i doing a good job as your walking, talking stress reliever?” you asked, your tone light and teasing.
geto’s eyes met yours with a soft, appreciative smile. “oh, absolutely,” he said, his hand continuing its gentle movement through your hair. “you’re perfect at it. couldn’t ask for a better stress reliever.” gojo rolled his eyes dramatically at geto's response. “oh, come on,” he interjected, a playful pout on his lips. “don't hog all the credit. i'm a pretty fantastic stress reliever too, you know.”
he wrapped an arm around your shoulder, pulling you slightly closer to him and away from geto. “can't have you getting too attached to just one of us.” you let out an exaggerated groan and rolled your eyes. “oh, please, don’t get all cringe-worthy now,” you said, wrinkling your nose as gojo pulled you closer.
you nudged him playfully, still shaking your head. “if you guys are going to use me as your personal stress reliever, you should start sending me some money for my services,” you added with a teasing grin. gojo laughed at your response, his arm still around your shoulder. “oh, so now you want monetary compensation for being our stress relief toy? how much do you want?”
geto, not wanting to be left out, chimed in, “yeah, name your price. we're willing to pay top dollar for your services.” you squinted at them, giving them a bemused look. “why do you guys talk like i’m some kind of hooker?” you asked, your tone a mix of amusement and disbelief.
gojo's smirk widened, “who said anything about hookers? we're just talking about your value as a stress reliever.”
geto chimed in, his tone playful, “yeah, you're priceless, you know. we'd pay a fortune to keep you around.” you gave them a disgusted look, shaking your head. “i swear, everything that comes out of your mouths sometimes sounds so inappropriate,” you said, your tone exasperated but with a hint of amusement. gojo chuckled at your disapproving look. “hey, blame it on our naturally filthy minds. it's just who we are.”
geto grinned, his hand finally leaving your hair, “yeah, you know you love it. deep down, you probably find it entertaining.” you rolled your eyes, reaching over to smack the back of their heads. “assholes,” you muttered, your tone more playful than serious.
after spending some time at the park, you thought the night was coming to a peaceful close, but gojo and geto had other plans. they’d decided, on a whim, to drag you out for a midnight hike up a nearby hill—while you were still in your pajamas.
you trudged up the path, feeling the chilly night air against your skin, your pajamas doing little to keep you warm. “this is my life now,” you complained dramatically, “i’ve climbed this hill, and now i’ll die upon it!”
gojo, leading the way, glanced back with an amused smirk. “shut up, we’ve only been hiking for five minutes,” he shot back, clearly entertained by your theatrics.
“yeah, quit your whining,” geto added from behind, his soft chuckle barely audible over the sound of your footsteps. “it’s not even that far, and you’re doing great.”
you shot a look back at geto, feeling a mix of frustration and disbelief. “seriously, though? dragging me out here in the middle of the night when i’m in pajamas? you two are insufferable.”
gojo turned around, walking backward with a grin. “come on, it’ll be worth it. the view from the top is amazing. just a little bit more.” with a dramatic sigh, you kept trudging along, determined not to let them have the satisfaction of seeing you give up. “fine, fine. but i’m holding you both responsible for my inevitable suffering.”
geto’s laughter echoed in the cool night air as he followed closely behind you. “deal. just keep going, and you’ll see it was worth it.” the night stretched on as you climbed higher, and despite your grumbling, there was a sense of quiet camaraderie in the air. it was the kind of absurd adventure that you’d look back on with a smile—though for now, the thought of your warm bed seemed like the true peak of the night.
gojo continued to lead the way, his pace steady and his spirits high. each step up the hill seemed to fuel his energy. “come on, princess, don't complain so much. you're still in your adorable hello kitty pajamas.”
geto was right behind you, his calm demeanor a stark contrast to your dramatic behavior, “yeah, just a little bit further. you can do it. we promise it'll be worth it.” you felt their hands tighten around yours, and you glanced at them with a sarcastic smile. “oh, wonderful, i’m being supported by the world’s most enthusiastic hill-climbers,” you said, your tone dripping with mock enthusiasm. “just what i needed.”
gojo’s grin widened, clearly pleased with your reaction. “see? we’re not so bad. we just want to make sure you’re okay.” geto chuckled at your sarcastic remark, “yeah, we're just being helpful guides on your little midnight adventure. think of us as your personal sherpas.”
gojo chimed in, his tone was light and playful, “and hey, you gotta admit, we're pretty great company. who else would drag you out on a hill climb like this?” you rolled your eyes, giving them an annoyed look. “personal sherpas, huh? more like personal tormentors,” you said, shaking your head. “and yeah, i guess I’d be hard-pressed to find anyone else crazy enough to drag me out in pajamas for a midnight hike.”
gojo chuckled at your exasperated expression. “hey, we prefer the term 'enthusiastic adventure planners' as for the pajamas, well, we think they're just adding to the hiking experience.” geto chimed in with a cheeky smile, “yeah, you look adorable in your hello kitty jammies, even if they're not exactly hiking-appropriate.”
once the three of you reached the top of the hill, you looked out at the city lights spread before you. with your hands on your hips, you turned to look at gojo and geto, who were both smiling at the view with evident satisfaction.
you couldn’t help but frown as you took in the sight. with a dramatic sigh, you smacked both of their chests. “the view is shit,” you complained, shaking your head. “i climbed all the way up here for this?” gojo let out an exaggerated gasp, pretending to be wounded by your complaint. “hey, we worked hard to drag your whining ass up here.”
geto chuckled, looking amused at your response. “yeah, and you’re supposed to appreciate the view, not just complain about it.” you rolled your eyes dramatically, crossing your arms. “oh, yeah, appreciate the view,” you said sarcastically. “the city lights are just so dull. and let’s not forget, it’s freezing up here.”
you shivered slightly, adding with a mock shiver, “i’m practically turning into an ice sculpture. so, thanks for that, too.” gojo chuckled at your constant complaints. “man, you really are a master of complaining, aren't you? the view isn't dull, it's just not exciting enough for your high standards."
geto chimed in, still amused by your dramatic responses. “yeah, and it's not even that cold. grow some thicker skin, princess.” you turned to geto with a raised eyebrow. “oh, yeah? how about you be a gentleman and give me your sweatshirt, then?” you said, your tone dripping with sarcasm.
geto chuckled at your demand, raising an eyebrow as well. “oh, so now you're using your feminine wiles to try and get your way, huh?” gojo chimed in with a smirk, clearly enjoying the exchange, “yeah, playing the damsel in distress, all shivering and cute.”
you grumbled, clearly annoyed by their teasing. “useless,” you muttered under your breath as you sat down on the grass, your feet aching from the climb. gojo and geto exchanged amused glances, watching as you took a seat without saying anything more.
gojo chuckled, his eyes watching you closely as you sat down. “oh, look, the complaining princess has finally decided to take a break.” geto smirked, looking down at you as you sat on the grass, “yeah, those cute little feet got tired, huh?” you pouted, giving them both a look of exaggerated exasperation. “it hurts,” you admitted, rubbing your feet slightly, “and it’s not exactly comfortable up here, you know.”
gojo kneeled down beside you, pretending to be sympathetic, “oh, poor princess, your dainty feet can't handle a little bit of cold grass.” geto chuckled, sitting down next to you as well. “yeah, this isn't exactly the luxury penthouse you're used to, huh?”
you continued to pout, rubbing your ankle with a slight wince, refusing to respond to their teasing. gojo and geto exchanged a look, their playful expressions softening as they watched you, the usual mischief in their eyes replaced by something more gentle.
“alright, alright,” gojo finally said, letting out a small laugh. “we’re sorry, princess. didn’t mean to push you too hard.” geto sighed, a hint of a smile on his lips as he shrugged off his sweatshirt. “here,” he said, draping it over your shoulders. “was planning to give it to you anyway, just had to get my teasing in first.”
you glanced up at him, your pout easing slightly as you pulled the sweatshirt closer around you. it was warm, and you could smell geto’s familiar scent, which made you feel a little better. “thanks,” you mumbled, still sulking a bit but grateful nonetheless. “see?” gojo grinned, leaning in closer. “we’re not completely useless, right?”
geto nudged your side gently. “and we’ll make it up to you. promise.” you let out a small, reluctant laugh, their warmth and light-heartedness slowly melting away your annoyance. “so annoying,” you murmur with a small smile on your face.
gojo chuckled at your grumbled response, his smile growing wider. “yeah, we're pretty damn annoying, but you love us for it.” geto watched you as you pulled his sweatshirt tighter around you, a soft expression on his face. he reached over and gently ruffled your hair. “see? being annoying has its perks, doesn't it?” gojo leaned in closer, his expression mischievous, “yeah, our annoyingness comes with a side of pretty damn good rewards, princess.”
as you sat there, wrapped in geto's sweatshirt and surrounded by their annoying but loveable presence, the three of you settled into a comfortable silence. the city lights continued to glimmer in the distance, and the cool night air carried a hint of chill.
gojo and geto sat on either side of you, their faces illuminated by the soft glow of the moon. they watched you intently, waiting to see if your sulky demeanor would give way entirely. you let out a small sigh, deciding to just give in to the moment. without a word, you shifted and lay back on the grass, eyes fixed on the sky above. the cool blades tickled your skin through geto’s sweatshirt, but it was oddly comforting.
the city lights below seemed less dull from this angle, mingling with the stars in a quiet, understated way. it wasn’t exactly the grand view you expected, but maybe that was okay. gojo glanced down at you, his smirk softening into something more genuine. “getting comfy?” he teased lightly, though there was a warmth in his voice that didn’t go unnoticed.
geto followed suit, stretching out beside you on the grass, his arm brushing against yours, “see? not so bad when you relax a little, huh?” you didn’t bother responding, just stared up at the sky, feeling their presence beside you. maybe they were annoying, but moments like this made it worth it. without looking at them, you let the silence speak for itself, a faint hint of a smile playing on your lips.
gojo and geto exchanged a glance, their teasing expressions replaced with ones of fond amusement. they knew they had broken through your initial annoyance, and now they were just enjoying this quiet moment with you.
lying on either side of you, they followed your gaze upward, looking at the stars shining above. the city lights in the distance provided a soft, ambient glow, adding to the peaceful atmosphere. after a moment, gojo chuckled softly, reaching out to playfully poke your side, “you're quiet. that either means you're still annoyed, or you're actually enjoying this.”
you felt geto's arm gently lift your head, and you didn’t resist as he slipped it under, letting it serve as a makeshift pillow. it was warm and oddly comforting, his familiar scent wrapping around you like a blanket.
you turned your head slightly to glance at gojo, still pouting a little but softened by the quiet peace of the moment. “i mean, it's not the worst,” you admitted, your voice carrying a playful hint of reluctance, “i guess this is... kinda nice.”
gojo grinned, his finger still poking at your side, “i knew you'd come around. you just needed some convincing.” geto chuckled softly, his arm shifting a bit to make sure you were comfortable. “and some decent company,” he added, his voice low and calm. you let out a small huff, but the corner of your lips betrayed you with the slightest upturn. “yeah, yeah. just don't get used to it, you two.”
but even as you said it, you settled more comfortably into geto’s arm, the three of you lying there in the quiet night, enjoying the simple, unexpected pleasure of each other's presence. gojo chuckled, his smirk widening as he observed your softening expression. “oh, princess, you can deny it all you want, but we know you’re enjoying this deep down. we just have that effect on you, don’t we?”
geto chimed in, his voice carrying an amused tone. “yeah, and the way you’re snuggling into my arm isn’t exactly subtle, either. it's cute when you act all tough but then can’t resist the charm of your two favorite jerks.” you let out a quiet scoff, rolling your eyes at their relentless teasing. as much as you wanted to keep up the act, you couldn’t help but feel a little warmth in your chest at their words. their playful banter, the way they made it a point to draw a smile out of you, it was all annoyingly endearing.
you shifted slightly, making yourself more comfortable against geto’s arm, but you didn’t bother giving them a response. instead, you just gazed up at the sky, letting the sounds of their laughter and the cool breeze fill the silence.
it was one of those rare moments where words weren’t needed. surrounded by the soft glow of city lights and the comforting presence of your two favorite idiots, you found yourself genuinely content, even if you’d never admit it out loud. your scoff lingered in the air, a small sign of your silent surrender to their antics, and in return, they both smiled, satisfied with the quiet victory.
gojo and geto exchanged a knowing smirk, silently pleased with your reaction. they knew they had won this little battle of wills, and the look on your face said it all.
lying there under the starry sky, gojo reached over and gently ruffled your hair. “look at you, all cozy and relaxed. we think you secretly love this little adventure, princess.” geto chuckled softly, his hand idly rubbing small circles on your arm. “yeah, we knew you'd come around and admit that spending time with us isn't so bad after all.”
you glanced between them, a faint smile tugging at your lips despite your best efforts to keep it hidden. their warmth, their teasing, and even their relentless persistence—everything about this moment felt oddly comforting.
“maybe,” you mumbled softly, not quite ready to give them the satisfaction of a full admission, but just enough to let them know that you didn’t entirely hate it. gojo’s eyes sparkled with amusement as he leaned in closer, his grin widening. “we’ll take that ‘maybe’ as a win,” he declared, his tone triumphant.
geto nodded, his gentle touch still lingering on your arm. “yeah, that’s basically a ‘yes’ in your language,” he teased, his voice low and fond. you rolled your eyes playfully but didn’t argue further, allowing yourself to just soak in the peace of the moment. maybe, just maybe, you didn’t mind this little midnight adventure after all.
gojo chuckled, clearly satisfied with your reluctant admission. “see? we knew you couldn’t resist our irresistible charm. you’re secretly a big ol’ softie.” geto’s smile widened at gojo’s words, his hand continuing its soothing circles on your arm. “yeah, deep down, you wouldn’t trade this for anything. admit it.” the two of them looked down at you, their expressions filled with a mix of amusement and affection as they waited for your response.
the quiet of the night settled around the three of you, the cool grass beneath you and the stars above painting a serene backdrop. your eyes stayed fixed on the vast sky, the scattered constellations offering a calm distraction from the earlier banter.
gojo’s finger brushed against yours, a soft and tentative touch, like he was testing the waters, unsure if you’d pull away or let him linger. but you didn’t move, didn’t say a word—just let the gentle contact continue, finding an unexpected comfort in the subtle connection.
geto’s arm under your head provided a steady warmth, his presence equally calming. though neither of them spoke, their proximity and the quiet sounds of their breathing beside you felt like a silent reassurance—an unspoken promise that, despite the teasing and the occasional annoyances, they were right where they wanted to be: by your side.
for once, you didn’t feel the need to complain or roll your eyes. instead, you allowed yourself to simply exist in the moment, the cool breeze, the faint rustle of leaves, and the distant hum of city lights below making everything feel strangely perfect. maybe, you thought, this wasn’t such a bad place to be after all.
gojo and geto continued their subtle touches, silently enjoying the peaceful moment. they could sense that you were relaxed and content, and for once, they didn’t press you to say anything.
gojo's finger gently traced a lazy pattern on the back of your hand, his touch barely perceptible. geto's arm underneath your head held you close, his presence steady and comforting. the night deepened as the three of you lay there under the vast sky, the silence stretching on as if the world had slowed down, just for this moment.
after a while, gojo finally broke the silence, his voice soft and thoughtful, “you know, i never thought I'd say this, but this isn’t too bad.“
geto hummed in agreement, his arm adjusting slightly under your head. “yeah, usually our little adventures involve more chaos and less quiet relaxation.” gojo chuckled quietly, his finger still tracing small circles on your hand. “yeah, usually we’re the ones causing the trouble, not lying in the grass like some peace-loving hippies.”
geto chuckled as well, joining in on the playful banter. “yeah, and you’re usually the one complaining the loudest, princess.”
gojo smirked, lifting his free hand and lightly pinching your cheek. “yeah, but we’ve already established that deep down, you secretly love our annoying antics. that’s why you keep hanging out with us.” you huffed, rolling your eyes at their relentless teasing. “please, let’s not pretend i have a choice here. you two are the ones who keep forcing me to hang out. if i ever tried to bail, you’d just terrorize me until i gave in—or worse, have suguru’s rainbow dragon hunt me down.”
gojo chuckled, his smirk widening. “damn right we’d keep terrorizing you. if we couldn’t win you over with our charm, we’d just resort to pestering you till you said yes.” geto chimed in, a sly smile creeping across his face, “and you know we’d do it too. we don’t give up that easily.” a pause hung in the air as both of them eyed you expectantly, waiting for your response. they knew they had a point, but they also knew you weren't likely to admit that you secretly enjoyed their company.
you sighed, rolling your eyes as their smug expressions continued to linger. “shut up, both of you,” you mumbled, trying to stifle a smile. “can we just enjoy a quiet moment for once without you two yapping your asses off?”
gojo chuckled, but he respected your request, leaning back and looking up at the sky. “alright, alright. we'll give the princess some peace and quiet.”
geto nodded, still grinning but now in silence, his hand gently squeezing yours in acknowledgment. the three of you settled back into a comfortable quiet, the sounds of the city below fading away as you all focused on the stillness of the night, the stars above, and the quiet but undeniable warmth of being together.
as the quiet settled around you once again, a thought occurred to geto. he glanced over at you, his voice quiet but curious. “hey, y/n,” he began. gojo glanced over as well, his eyes fixed on you, anticipating the question. you hummed softly as the answer. geto continued, his tone thoughtful. “have you ever made a wish on a shooting star?”
you stayed silent for a moment, eyes fixed on the vast expanse of the sky above, tracing the faint outlines of distant stars. the night was quiet, save for the soft rustling of leaves and the occasional distant hum of the city below. after a brief pause, a soft chuckle escaped your lips. “yeah,” you finally answered, still gazing upwards, “i have.”
gojo perked up, a look of mild surprise on his face. “really?” he asked, his curiosity piqued. geto raised an eyebrow, turning to look at you with a hint of intrigue in his eyes. “huh, i didn't take you for the superstitious type.” you shrugged slightly, still looking up at the sky, “i didn't, but i was pretty desperate at the time.”
gojo and geto exchanged a glance, their expressions filled with curiosity. they knew that you weren't one to casually make wishes on shooting stars. “yeah?” gojo prompted, his voice a mix of interest and concern, “what was so desperate that you needed to make a wish on a shooting star?”
you hesitated for a moment, biting your lip as you weighed your options. after a long pause, you sighed and looked back up at the sky. “it’s… something i want the most,” you finally said, your voice quiet but honest, “something i didn’t think i could get any other way.”
gojo and geto grew quiet, their expressions turning thoughtful. they could sense the seriousness in your tone and knew that this wasn't a light-hearted request. there was a moment of silence as the two of them exchanged a glance, a silent question passing between them. finally, gojo spoke up again.
“what was it that you wished for?” he asked softly, his voice gentle. you shifted slightly in geto's embrace, feeling his warmth against you as you took a breath. “gentle love,” you admitted softly, the words hanging in the air. there was a brief silence as you all absorbed the weight of your confession.
a quiet laugh escaped your lips, breaking the stillness. “it’s silly, i know,” you muttered, your tone light but a bit self-conscious. “sounds ridiculous when you say it out loud, huh?” there was another brief moment of silence as the two of them processed your words. they glanced at each other again, sensing the vulnerability behind your confession.
then, gojo chuckled softly, breaking the silence. “no, it’s not ridiculous,” he reassured, his voice gentle and sincere. geto spoke up as well, his hand gently squeezing yours, “yeah, don’t worry, princess. it’s not silly at all.”
a few moments passed before gojo spoke up again, his voice a little quieter, “can i ask you something?” geto remained silent, his eyes fixed on you, waiting to see where this was going.
again, you softly hummed.
gojo shifted a bit, his eyes locked on yours, “what does ‘gentle love’ mean to you?” geto watched you closely, his expression a mix of curiosity and concern. you smiled softly, your eyes drifting to the stars above. “i want gentle love,” you murmured, your voice filled with quiet longing. “that kind of love where he rubs my cheek with his thumb, where he kisses me over and over until we're laughing.”
you continued, your gaze distant as you pictured the tender moments in your mind. “where he uses his fingers to make circles on my hand, kisses my shoulder when i’m looking away, tucks my hair behind my ears, and kisses my forehead.”
a wistful sigh escaped your lips. “long hugs, rubbing my back when i lay on his chest… where he treats me like i'm delicate.” you paused, feeling the weight of your own words, before a small smile tugged at your lips, almost as if you were lost in a sweet daydream.
gojo and geto listened intently, their expressions soft as you described your yearning for gentle love. they could hear the earnest desire in your voice, the way your words painted a picture of quiet, tender affection.
there was a moment of silence as they took in your description, before gojo broke it. “that all sounds really nice,” he offered, his voice gentle. geto hummed in agreement, his eyes still fixed on you. “yeah, it does,” he said quietly, his hand giving yours a slight squeeze.bgojo shifted again, watching you closely. “have you... ever received that kind of love before?” he asked, his voice soft but curious. geto stayed silent, knowing that gojo's question might touch a nerve.
you glanced at gojo, your eyebrows raised slightly in surprise at his question. a soft chuckle escaped your lips as you shook your head gently. “no,” you admitted, your voice carrying a tinge of vulnerability. “that’s why i’m desperate.”
your words hung in the cool night air, the soft glow of the city lights in the distance reflecting the quiet longing in your heart. you felt gojo and geto's gazes on you, their expressions a mix of empathy and something unspoken, but you just kept your eyes on the sky, the stars above feeling like the only witness to your wish.
the three of you fell into a brief silence again as your words settled in. gojo and geto exchanged a glance, their expressions shifting to show a mix of understanding and concern.
gojo was the first to speak up, his voice a bit softer than usual. “but why does it have to be a shooting star? why not just...” he trailed off, not quite sure how to finish his thought. geto picked up where he left off, his voice equally soft. “yeah, why not just find someone who can give you that gentle love?”
you gently nudged gojo's chest, a soft smile tugging at your lips as he lay beside you. “i told you i was desperate,” you said, a light chuckle following your words. “when you want something that badly, you'll do anything— even something as silly as wishing on a shooting star.”
turning your head slightly, you meet geto's eyes, your smile fading into something more contemplative. “it’s not that easy,” you admitted, your voice a bit quieter. “finding someone who truly understands that kind of love… it feels impossible sometimes.” you let out a small sigh, your gaze drifting back up to the sky.
gojo and geto didn’t have a response to that. they could feel the weight of your hopeless feeling, the resignation that crept into your voice.
geto's grip on your arm tightened ever so slightly, a silent reassurance that he was listening. gojo, meanwhile, found himself unable to find anything to say that would ease the heaviness in the air. after a few moments of silence, gojo finally spoke up, his voice soft but tinged with a hint of disbelief. “how could it be impossible? you're not that difficult to love.”
your heart quickened at gojo’s words, a flicker of warmth spreading through the ache you’d long carried. for as long as you could remember, you’d believed you were harder to love—your parents’ dismissiveness and constant comparisons to your siblings only cemented that belief. but hearing gojo say that, even in his casual tone, felt like a balm to your wounded heart.
you turned your head slightly, catching gojo’s gaze. his eyes were sincere, a quiet intensity in them that told you he meant every word. something shifted in your chest, a mix of hope and disbelief, and for a moment, you found yourself struggling to find the right response. all you could manage was a small, genuine smile, the weight of your unspoken fears still hanging between you but just a little lighter now. “thanks,” you finally whispered, the simple word carrying all the gratitude and vulnerability you couldn’t quite voice.
gojo smiled back, his eyes meeting yours. he could tell that his words had touched a chord in you, and despite the lighthearted tone of his comment, he meant it. geto, sensing the shift in the atmosphere, stayed quietly beside you, his arm still wrapped around you, his presence a gentle reassurance.
gojo's expression softened as he continued to look at you, his voice warm. “you really have no idea how lovable you are, do you?” gojo leaned closer, propping himself up on his elbow. his eyes never left yours, the sincerity in them more intense than before. he gently pressed a soft kiss to your forehead, the warmth of his touch lingering for a moment longer than necessary. “loving you is the easiest thing,” he murmured against your skin, his voice low and comforting, as if he was sharing a secret meant only for you.
when he pulled back, his expression was filled with a mix of affection and gentle confidence. “as your upperclassman, i can guarantee it—loving you is as easy as a snap of the fingers.” he snapped his fingers playfully, a warm smile spreading across his face, the kind that reached his eyes and made you feel seen and cherished in a way you hadn’t felt in a long time.
geto watched from beside you, a smile playing on his lips as he observed the tenderness in gojo’s actions. he had seen gojo in many moods—arrogant, playful, and careless—but this version of him, the one who was gentle and sincere, was reserved for rare moments like these.
as gojo pulled back from his affectionate gesture, geto spoke up softly, his voice carrying a hint of amusement, but also a genuine fondness. “he’s right, you know,” he added, glancing at you. “loving you might just be the easiest thing people can do.”
you smiled, the warmth from their words seeping into your chest, filling it with a comfort you hadn’t realized you needed. “aww, thank you, guys,” you said, your tone playful but laced with sincerity. “aren't you the sweetest when you're not being annoying and acting like assholes?”
gojo chuckled at your light-hearted response, rolling his eyes in an exaggerated annoyance. “i'm always sweet,” he protested, feigning offense. “you're just too dense to see it most of the time.”
geto chuckled as well, his arm tightening around you very slightly. “oh, please,” he chimed in, his smirk playful, “you're nothing more than a loud-mouthed annoyance most days, and we all know it.”
as gojo let out an exaggerated gasp of outrage and opened his mouth to protest, you chuckle. “oh c’mon, don’t deny it,” you teased. “we all know you’re a pain in the ass more than you're a sweetheart.” gojo looked like he was about to argue, but then he huffed and crossed his arms, a small pout on his face. “you're both so mean to me,” he muttered, clearly not taking the banter too seriously.
geto chuckled warmly at gojo's mock sulk, his hand gently squeezing your shoulder. he couldn't help but join in on picking on his friend. “well, we wouldn't have to be mean if you weren't so full of yourself all the time,” he pointed out, his smirk widening. gojo huffed in faux indignation, his pout deepening. “i am not full of myself. i'm just confident. there's a difference, you know?”
you chimed in again, your smile widening as gojo continued to pout. “yeah, that’s what happens when you act like a big brat all the time. you reap what you sow,” you agreed with geto's.
gojo's pout turned into a full-on frown at your words, his blue eyes narrowing slightly. “hey, i do not act like a brat,” he protested, his voice edging on a whine.
geto, sensing an opportunity to tease him further, couldn't resist chiming in again. “oh, but you do,” he teased, his voice dripping with playful sarcasm. “you act like a spoiled little kid who's always demanding attention.” gojo's frown deepened as geto continued to dig into his ego. “i do not demand attention,” he argued, his voice rising slightly.
geto chuckled, not taking gojo's protests seriously. “oh, yes, you do. you're like a needy little puppy, always wanting to be noticed and fussed over.” you chuckled softly, shaking your head at their banter. watching them bicker like this was like witnessing a comedy routine unfold right before your eyes. “you guys are ridiculous,” you mumbled, amusement dancing in your voice.
leaning back on the grass, you glanced up at the sky again, still smiling. it was moments like these—lighthearted, carefree, and full of laughter—that made you cherish their presence even more. “but, honestly, i wouldn’t have it any other way,” you added, your voice soft but sincere, appreciating the warmth they brought to your life, even through their antics.
geto and gojo paused in their banter for a moment, their eyes shifting to you as you leaned back against the grass, looking up at the stars. gojo’s expression softened, his pout replaced by a small smile. he caught your eye for a second, his gaze warm and genuine.
geto's smile mirrored gojo's, his hand gently rubbing your shoulder. “yeah, same here,” he echoed your sentiment, his voice carrying a hint of affection that was as sincere as yours.
they fell into a brief silence as they all soaked in the peaceful surroundings. the laughter and light-hearted banter from moments ago had given way to a comfortable quiet, the only sounds being the distant sounds of the city and the gentle rustling of the grass. after a few moments, gojo spoke up again, his voice softer now. “you know, i really mean it,” he said, his eyes fixed on the night sky.
you glanced over at gojo, a flicker of confusion crossing your face. his sudden shift in tone caught you off guard, and for a moment, you wondered what he was getting at. “mean what?” you asked, your voice tinged with curiosity as you tried to piece together what he was referring to.
the sincerity in his expression was unusual, and it made you slightly uneasy, unsure of where the conversation was headed. you turned your attention fully to him, your brow furrowing slightly as you waited for him to elaborate.
gojo's gaze shifted from the stars to you. he could sense the confusion and curiosity in your eyes, and it made his heart clench slightly. it was unusual for him to be this serious, and he knew you must be wondering what was on his mind.
he paused for a moment, his normally lighthearted gaze now filled with a sincerity that made it all the more impactful. “i meant what i said earlier,” he clarified, his voice low but genuine, “about loving you being the easiest thing.”
your breath caught at his words, the sincerity in his tone making your heart flutter. it was rare for gojo to be this earnest, and it threw you off balance, leaving you feeling exposed and vulnerable in a way you weren’t used to. for a moment, you didn’t know how to respond—his words were so simple, yet they carried a weight that settled deeply in your chest.
you glanced away, focusing on the stars again, a small, shy smile tugging at your lips. “you’re really something, satoru,” you mumbled softly, your voice betraying a mix of disbelief and gratitude. “i’m not used to hearing stuff like that.”
you glanced back at him briefly, catching the warm, reassuring look in his eyes, and felt your walls soften just a little more, “but… thank you. that means a lot.” gojo's heart warmed at your genuine reaction to his words. he could see the vulnerability in your eyes, the way his sincere comments had thrown you off guard. it was a new side of you that he hadn't seen before.
he smiled back, his eyes soft, watching as you looked away and back at the stars. as you thanked him and admitted you weren't used to hearing those words, he reached over and gently tugged on a strand of your hair, playful yet affectionate.
“you deserve to hear it more often,” he murmured, his voice carrying a hint of a promise. geto had been quietly listening, allowing gojo his moment with you. he observed the tender exchange, the way your guard was slowly lowering with each sincere word. he could see the impact of gojo’s words on you, the way your cheeks flushed slightly and your eyes shone with a mixture of surprise and vulnerability.
he smiled softly, his hand still on your shoulder, a silent witness to the intimate conversation unfolding between the two of you. gojo watched as geto remained silent, his presence a steady, comforting presence behind you. gojo could practically feel geto's eyes on the two of you. he knew geto was observing, listening to the conversation unfold.
he turned his attention back to you, his gaze soft and affectionate. he was enjoying this moment, this rare opportunity to be open and vulnerable without his usual pretense.
“you really should get used to hearing it,” he repeated, his voice low and sincere. “everyone should be telling you how lovable you are all the time.” as gojo spoke again, his voice dripping with sincerity, geto could see your expression soften further. you were visibly affected by his words, struggling to process the compliments and vulnerability he was expressing.
he took a moment to observe you, the way your walls were slowly crumbling under gojo’s gentle yet firm persistence. it was a sight to behold, seeing someone so used to closing themselves off slowly opening up due to another’s affection.
you let out a soft sigh, feeling a mix of emotions swirling inside you—gratitude, vulnerability, and a touch of disbelief. pushing yourself up on your elbows, you gazed at the landscape stretched out before you, the city lights twinkling in the distance against the inky night sky.
with a small, almost wistful smile, you murmured, “eh, the view isn’t so bad,” your tone light but carrying an undercurrent of meaning. gojo propped himself up next to you, his eyes following your gaze to the cityscape in the distance. he chuckled lightly at your comment, understanding the double meaning behind your words.
“told ya,” he teased, a playful grin on his face. he could see the vulnerable expression you tried to hide beneath your light tone, and it made his heart clench slightly. geto, still laying behind you, noticed the exchange and smiled, his hand still gently rubbing your shoulder, a silent show of reassurance.
you glanced at the sky one more time before sighing softly, feeling the weight of the moment lingering between the three of you. shifting slightly, you gave them a small smile, trying to mask the emotions simmering just beneath the surface.
“we should probably get going,” you said, your voice breaking the comfortable silence that had settled. “it's already so late.”
you started to push yourself up, brushing off the bits of grass clinging to your clothes. the quiet warmth of their company was something you’d savor, but you weren’t quite ready to linger in this vulnerability for much longer. as you stood, you glanced down at them, catching the way gojo’s playful grin softened and how geto’s reassuring smile never wavered. despite the lateness, you knew they’d both follow you anywhere, no questions asked.
as you started to stand up, gojo and geto exchanged a quick, knowing glance. they could sense your need to break the moment, to reestablish some distance after the vulnerability that had been revealed.
gojo pushed himself up after you, his grin now more gentle than playful. “yeah, let’s head back,” he agreed, his voice soft yet understanding. geto got up as well, his hand lingering on your shoulder for a second longer before he dropped it, the reassuring smile still on his face. “we still have class tomorrow,” he reminded playfully.
geto's eyes caught sight of his sweatshirt hanging loosely over your shoulders, and his expression softened even more. with a gentle shake of his head, he stepped closer, his hands already moving to adjust it. “you should wear this properly,” he murmured, his tone filled with that familiar mix of fondness and care. “don't want you catching a cold, do we?”
he carefully slipped the sleeves over your arms, his touch gentle but firm as he pulled it snug around you. he took an extra moment to make sure it fit comfortably, his fingers brushing lightly against your shoulders. “there,” he said with a satisfied nod, his smile growing as he looked at you. “better, right?”
the gesture was small but filled with the kind of quiet affection that spoke louder than words, leaving no doubt in your mind that, even in the simplest actions, geto's care for you ran deep. as geto tugged the sleeves of the sweatshirt into place and adjusted it around you, gojo watched the exchange quietly, his gaze flicking between you both.
he couldn't help but notice the tenderness in geto’s touch, the way he took the time to ensure the hoodie fit perfectly around you. the gesture was subtle, a silent expression of care and connection.
he could see the effect it had on you, the way you subtly relaxed under geto’s touch, a small smile tugging at your lips. gojo couldn’t help but feel a pang of something he couldn’t quite identify.
as you turned to face the descent, a heavy sigh escaped your lips, the thought of trekking down the hill already wearing you out. “ugh, i can’t believe we have to walk all the way down,” you groaned, rubbing your face with your hands in mock despair.
gojo chuckled softly at your reaction, catching up beside you. “come on, it’s not that bad,” he teased, but the glimmer in his eyes suggested he found your frustration endearing.
geto, ever the considerate one, stepped closer and gently squeezed your shoulder. “if you’re really that tired, we can take it slow,” he offered, his voice warm and patient. “or, you know, we could always carry you,” he added with a playful smirk, clearly enjoying the opportunity to tease you just a bit.
your exaggerated sigh and whine about the walk were met with gojo’s amused chuckle, his eyes sparkling with playful understanding.
“you’re so dramatic,” he teased, his tone light, “as if a little walk is too much for you.”
geto’s gentle offer to take it slow or carry you was made with a sincere concern for your tiredness, and he tacked on the playful comment, clearly enjoying himself. his smirk hinted at his mischievousness, but you knew he was only half-joking.
you turned to them with a dramatic huff, hands on your hips as you eyed them both expectantly. “alright, so which one of you is going to be a gentleman and carry me down?” you asked, raising an eyebrow, demanding.
gojo and geto exchanged a quick glance, both of them trying and failing to conceal the grins that were pulling at the corners of their lips. they knew you were being playful, putting on a dramatic display to get your way, and they both knew they’d willingly play along.
gojo stepped closer, putting on an air of mock-exasperation. “oh, you and your demands,” he teased, his eyes sparkling with playful fondness. “don’t you know princesses should be carried on their prince’s strong arms?”
geto chuckled at gojo’s playfully exaggerated response, watching the two of you banter. he couldn’t help but join in, his eyes glittering with mirth. “that’s true,” he agreed, his grin widening. “princesses shouldn’t have to walk on such lovely little legs when they have princes to carry them.”
he took a step closer, his own eagerness to play along evident, his voice laced with a hint of anticipation. “so i guess that means neither of us can resist the call of chivalry, huh?” you straightened up, placing a hand on your hip and lifting your chin like a royal decree was about to be made. “alright, peasant,” you declared, putting on your best princess voice from centuries past, “carry me on your back, and make haste!”
with a dramatic flourish, you patted geto's back as if commanding him into service, a playful glint in your eyes as you stifled a laugh. gojo and geto both burst into quiet laughter at your haughty princess command, clearly amused by your overdramatic attempt at regal authority.
geto, playing along with theatrical flair, quickly dipped into a low, exaggerated bow, his hand over his heart. “as you wish, my delightful little princess,” he responded, his tone dripping with mock subservience. without warning, he quickly stepped in front of you, grabbing your legs and effortlessly hoisting you up onto his back, holding you securely with strong, steady hands.
as the three of you began your descent down the hill, the cool night air was refreshing against your skin. the path was well-trodden and easy to navigate, flanked by the soft, undulating grass of the field below. the grass field stretched out like a sea of green, dotted occasionally with wildflowers that added splashes of color to the landscape.
the distant city lights twinkled like stars on the horizon, creating a warm, ambient glow that contrasted with the dark, expansive sky above. the serene, peaceful atmosphere was broken only by the soft rustling of the grass and the occasional chirp of nocturnal insects.
as you made your way down, the gentle slope of the hill provided a smooth, relaxed descent. the night was clear, with the moon casting a soft, silvery light over the surroundings, making the walk both picturesque and tranquil. the cool breeze carried with it a sense of calm, adding to the overall peacefulness of the moment.
the atmosphere around the three of you was a picture-perfect moment of tranquility as you made your way down the hill, the landscape bathed in the silvery light of the moon.
gojo strode along beside you and geto, his hands stuffed in the pockets of his jeans, his gaze occasionally drifting from the landscape to you, seated comfortably on geto’s back. his eyes were soft, his lips curled into a subtle smile. geto, meanwhile, was enjoying the feeling of you on his back, your warmth and weight a comfortable presence as he navigated the downward slope.
as you reached the bottom of the hill, you gave geto a playful squeeze, your voice light but with a hint of genuine reluctance. “you know, now that i’m all comfy on your back, i’m not so sure i want to walk to the dorm anymore,” you said with a teasing tone.
as you squeezed geto playfully, your words filled with both lightheartedness and genuine reluctance, he let out a low laugh, his back rumbling faintly beneath you. he kept his grip on your legs steady, his hands warm against your skin.
“oh, so you’re going to be a spoiled princess and demand to be carried the rest of the way?” he teased, his voice filled with playfulness and amusement, “it’s not that far, princess. you could at least walk the last bit.”
you shook your head with a playful smile, resting your cheek comfortably against geto's back. “nope,” you murmured softly, your voice muffled but clear. "i’m perfectly comfy here. i think i’ll just enjoy the ride until we get to the dorm."
geto chuckled at your stubborn refusal, continuing to carry you despite the lighthearted bickering. you were warm and cozy, pressed against his back, and he couldn’t deny that there was a certain charm to the current situation.
“oh, so you’re just going to hog my back the whole way,” he teased, a note of playfulness in his tone. “and what if i get tired of hauling your spoiled princess butt the rest of the way?” you chuckled softly, snuggling closer against his back. “oh, you won’t get tired,” you teased back. “with all those muscles of yours, it’d be pretty shameful if you couldn't carry a little weight. i’m just making sure you get to show off those muscles of yours.”
a small grin tugged at the corner of geto's lips at your teasing. he chuckled as he felt you snuggle closer against his back, your words stirring a competitive spark in him.
“oh, so that’s what you’re doing,” he responded, his tone dripping with mock-indignation. “what a spoiled little princess.” he adjusted his grip on your legs, hoisting you up slightly to ensure a more secure hold.
as the three of you continued walking, the light banter between you and geto carried on. he chuckled at your response, his heart feeling a slight flutter at your casual affection.
gojo, walking beside you both, listened to the soft back-and-forth banter. he could see the playfulness and affection between you and geto, and despite the mild sting of something unfamiliar in his chest, he couldn’t help being glad to see geto’s guard drop so easily and naturally around you.
he chuckled under his breath, his eyes flickering between the two of you. “you’re both incorrigible,” he teased, shaking his head. “suguru's going to end up with a sore back by the time we get to the dorm.” you raised your eyebrows playfully at gojo, giving him a smirk. “well, i didn’t see you volunteering to carry me,” you replied, your tone light, “so, you don’t really get a say in this. suguru’s the one who’s earning all the glory right now.”
as the banter continued, gojo’s eyes flickered to geto, his expression tinged with affectionate mockery. he knew geto was enjoying every second of this, playing the role of your personal chariot without complaint.
he felt another pang in his chest as he watched you cling to geto, a mix of emotions he couldn’t quite name swirling in his gut. he tried to ignore it, focusing instead on keeping the lighthearted banter going.
the three of you walked through the empty streets, the world wrapped in the stillness of three in the morning. the city’s usual hum was replaced by the soft glow of streetlights, casting gentle shadows that danced around your feet. laughter drifted between you, light and unburdened, as if the night itself had been holding its breath just to witness this moment of pure, unguarded joy.
you rested comfortably on geto’s back, your arms loosely wrapped around his neck. his steps were steady, each one a silent promise of support, and you could feel the warmth of his quiet laughter vibrate through your own chest. beside you, gojo walked with a carefree ease, his presence as bright and effervescent as the stars that dotted the night sky above. every now and then, he’d throw a playful nudge at geto or toss a teasing remark your way, drawing out your sleepy giggles that lingered in the cool night air.
the moon watched over you, a silent guardian of your little trio, its silvery light bathing the world in a soft, dreamlike glow. the cool breeze whispered through the trees, carrying with it the scent of grass and the faint promise of morning, yet the three of you lingered in this serene slice of time, as if the dawn could wait just a little longer.
beneath your light-hearted banter, there was an unspoken understanding between gojo and geto—a quiet vow that settled in their hearts as they looked at you nestled so comfortably on geto’s back. they saw the softness in your eyes, the vulnerability you often tried to hide behind sarcasm and dramatics, and they knew. they knew that more than anything, you deserved the kind of love that was steady, gentle, and unwavering. a love that would cradle your heart through every midnight adventure, every shared laugh, and every silent moment where words were unnecessary.
you didn’t notice the fleeting exchange of glances between them, the silent promise etched in their eyes. but as you finally approached your dorm, the walls of your tiredness gave way to a sense of peace. you were surrounded by a warmth that went beyond the physical, a warmth that felt like home in the company of the two who had somehow become your everything.
and as they watched you start to drift off, your head resting lightly against geto’s shoulder, they made a vow—to be the ones who’d always carry you when you were too tired to walk, to share in your laughter and chase away your fears, and to love you in the way you deserved: gently, endlessly, and with all the quiet strength they could muster. it was a promise woven into the fabric of the night, delicate and unbreakable, as eternal as the stars above.

Kinktober - Day 27
27th — honeymoon, Max Verstappen
Hi! I'm back!
The previous day I The next day I Kinktober masterlist I Main list
Carrying you in his arms bridal style, Max steps through the doorway of your shared bedroom, a soft smile lighting up his features. The room glows warmly from the dim light of a bedside lamp, casting a golden hue over the space. He cradles you with effortless strength, his chest firm and steady beneath your weight, as though he never wants to let go. Once inside, he pauses, savoring the moment, before gently setting you down on your feet. His lips find the crook of your neck, planting a lingering kiss that sends shivers down your spine.
He inhales deeply, the delicate floral notes of your perfume filling his senses. "You smell incredible," he murmurs softly, his voice low and full of warmth. Your arms naturally rest over his, which are firmly wrapped around your waist, holding you close. For a moment, you glance down, catching sight of your intertwined fingers adorned with matching gold wedding bands that glint under the soft light. The sight makes your heart swell, a symbol of your commitment forever engraved in gold.
You turn in his embrace, his arms never leaving your body. Looking into his deep, adoring eyes, you can't help but smile. You lean forward and brush your lips against his—once, twice, then a third time—light, teasing kisses that make him chuckle softly against your mouth. His hand brushes gently through your hair, fingers tangling slightly as he caresses you with a touch that's as tender as it is electrifying.
"I still can't believe you married me," he confesses, his voice laced with awe and a hint of vulnerability. A small, boyish grin tugs at the corners of his lips, and his eyes glimmer with love.
"I still can't believe you thought I wouldn’t want to," you reply, your voice bright with amusement and affection. The joy in his expression deepens as his grin widens, and he shakes his head slightly, clearly overwhelmed by his emotions.
Leaning in, Max kisses you softly, his lips brushing against yours with exquisite care before his passion starts to seep through. His hands travel slowly up your back, his touch firm yet gentle, and his thumbs pause at the curve of your breasts, resting there like he's savoring the moment. Then, in a swift motion, he pulls you closer, eliminating the space between your bodies, and deepens the kiss. His lips capture yours with fervor, his tongue teasing yours as the kiss grows more intense.
You feel him shift, his hips pressing into yours, searching for closeness. The thick layers of your ivory wedding dress create a barrier, but it doesn’t stop the spark of pleasure from coursing through you. A soft moan escapes your lips, and his lips curve into a smile against yours.
Finally, he pulls back just enough to whisper, his breath warm against your skin, “Let’s go to bed.” His tone is low, filled with promise and longing. You notice the faint hint of mint on his breath—likely from the mints he’d taken during the reception—and it makes you smile at the small detail.
"As enticing as that sounds," you respond, breathing heavily, "I actually wanted to go swimming first."
The cozy house the two of you are staying for the honeymoon rests not to far from the water. You can hear the beach from here. It sings, waves hitting the shore.
"C'mon, Liefde. We have two weeks to go swimming." His hands find your ass, grabbing firmly. "I want you now," he continues; his voice sounds husky in your ear. He pecks a corner of your mouth.
His words, the touching, stirs an awakening of passion inside you. Brushing his cheek with the back of your fingers, you say with a smooth voice, "Well...the beach will still be there when we're-"
That's all he needs. Max quickly brings you in, kisses roughly. He cups your breasts, gives them a squeeze.
A wave of desire washes over you. You take off the jacket of his tux. Then, parting your lips, you clumsily undo the buttons of his shirt. About halfway, he helps with the rest. The white shirt lands on the floor with a soft murmur.
A smile lighting his face, the groom takes your hand and spins you until he faces your back. Max unlaces the string of your corset. It soon hits the floor, a puddle of ivory around your feet. He chuckles and smacks your ass.
You jump at his touch. Only in your strapless bra and thong, you turn and playfully shove him. The both of you laugh. He kisses the top of your head as you remove his pants.
Then he picks you up and carefully throws you on the bed. Max bites his lip at the sight of your breasts jiggling a bit. Lifting an eyebrow, you pat on the mattress. He chuckles loudly and enthusiastically accepts the invitation.
Climbing on top of you, he moves your hair away from your face. "Ready, Liefde?"
You nod and say eagerly, "Yes."
He kisses you, which starts softly then evolves into ravenous. His hands brushes your arms, then one of them travels to your thigh while the other is used for support.
Your hands stroke his torso. When they skim his sensitive nipples, Max breaks the kiss and arches his back. He moans, eyes closed, before returning his sight on you. He's pleased.
Reaching behind you, he works on unclasping your bra. Your breasts soon are free. He tosses the article of clothing away randomly, staring at your chest with hunger. He begins to suck, tongue drawing circles around your nipple. His hand fondles the other one.
Crying out in pleasure, your fingers dig in his hair. You feel his teeth biting gently on your bud, lifting a little, then let your boob fall with a slight bounce.
He soon addresses the other one. You feel his saliva on the one he parted from as he takes a mouthful of you. The thumb of his good hand lovingly strokes the nipple he left then he twists it.
You gasp. "Max!"
Mouth leaving your chest, he looks at you with a grin. He cups your face with one hand. "What? Are you enjoying yourself, darling?" After you nod, your husband gives a quick kiss.
"I love you," you confess.
He brushes your cheek. "I love you, too."
Max kisses down your neck, the space between your chest, and down your stomach. Grasping the straps of your thong, he removes it while keeping his eyes on you. Tossing it wherever, he kisses your inner thighs before eating you out.
You let out a loud cry, heart beating faster. Moaning, you look as he licks you, sucks your clit. You gather his hair with your hand, call his name in pleasure. You can't help that you're holding your breath in sheer satisfaction, can't lie still. As he gets a good hold of you, your back arches, toes pinch.
"Oh, Max. I'm-I'm gonna cum." Your voice is a whisper. You mean it to be louder; however, you can't muster that volume.
His hand slithers north then fondles your breast. He lifts his head enough to stroke that bundle of nerves you have in a circular motion.
"Max!"
Returning his head between your legs, he continues to suck with more hunger. Soon, as the pleasure continues to build and he showing his love, is too much to handle. You experience the tidal wave that is your orgasm. You cum; he accepts it, enjoys it by licking your offering, all of it.
Once you're clean, Max straightens then wipes his mouth. "I love how you taste, Liefde."
"That was amazing," you admit breathlessly.
"I'm not done with you yet...my new wife," he replies with joy.
The groom flips you over. Down your spine, he kisses and licks you. When Max reaches the bottom, he hikes your hip. With his hand on your stomach, he lifts your upper body. You wait for whatever he has plan on all fours. He takes off his boxers then slides himself inside you. You call out his name, very pleased, as he begins by massaging the tip of his cock.
As he progresses, his thrusts that were once soft are now full on and rough. All of his cock that he can manage to pump inside eagers your walls immensely. The walls twitch, beckon him. Your breasts bounce with each thrust. His fingers dig. You hear his gunts, adding to the music of skin slapping and your own loud hollering.
"Liefde," Max yells between breaths, "please tell me that...that you're a-almost there! I can't hold it m-much longer!" He releases another grunt.
"Yes! Yes, I'm-"
You're interrupted by your second orgasm. Your release washes over him, which makes him cum as well. As your walls swallow all he gives, he continues to pump, slowing down, until the wave is over.
Once he pulls out, you collapse on the bed. You turn over and see your husband hovering above you. He kisses you, his mouth heavy and sloppy. You feel the bristles of his beard. Then he flops next to you, panting and exhausted.
After a few deep breaths, you go over and rest your head on his chest, your arm around him. He holds you, too, and brushes your back.
"Oh, Max." You try to catch your breath.
"Darling." He takes a deep breath. "I love you."
Smiling, you reply, "I love you, too."

In the dimly lit corridors of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, where shadows danced in the flickering candlelight, Y/N flitted through the halls like a vibrant breath of fresh air. As the Herbology professor, she was well-versed in nurturing both plants and the students who so often found themselves enchanted by her passion. However, it was not just her lessons that captured the attention of those around her; it was the way she lit up at the mere mention of Severus Snape, the brooding Potions Master with a heart as deep as the dungeons he called home.
Severus, with his raven-black hair that cascaded like a dark waterfall, was a source of quiet intrigue. Though he preferred solitude, he found solace in Y/N’s company. Her laughter echoed like music, warming the cold stone walls of the castle. But there was one aspect of Severus that Y/N simply could not resist—his hair. To her, it was not merely an accessory but a canvas, a tapestry waiting for her gentle hands to weave magic into it.
“Severus, please,” Y/N implored one evening, her eyes sparkling with mischief as they lounged in the cozy confines of their shared place. A fire crackled softly, casting a warm glow that illuminated her face, highlighting the way her cheeks flushed with excitement. “Just let me style it once! I promise you’ll love it.”
Severus raised an eyebrow, his usual expression of stoic annoyance morphing into mild amusement. “I do not believe that would be appropriate, Y/N,” he replied, his voice low and measured, though there was an undeniable softness to his tone. “My hair is not a toy for your amusement.”
With a dramatic pout that could rival even the most skilled of performers, Y/N crossed her arms, her lower lip jutting out in a way that made her look irresistibly adorable. “But it would be so much fun! And you have such beautiful hair! It deserves to be styled, not left to hang limply like a neglected broom.”
Severus fought to suppress a smile, the corners of his mouth betraying him. She had a way of disarming him, of stripping away his defenses with her infectious enthusiasm. “It is merely hair,” he muttered, attempting to maintain his facade of indifference.
“But it’s your hair,” she insisted, her voice rising slightly in excitement. “It has character! Just think of the potential!”
He sighed, knowing full well that her stubbornness would not easily be swayed. “Y/N,” he began, a hint of exasperation creeping into his tone, “I hardly see how this is—”
“Just once!” she interrupted, leaning closer, her eyes wide and pleading. “For me?”
For a moment, the world outside their bubble faded away. Severus felt the weight of her gaze on him, filled with an earnestness that tugged at something deep within his chest. He took a breath, allowing himself to be swept up in the moment. “Fine,” he relented, the word escaping his lips almost against his will. “But only for a moment.”
Y/N’s face lit up with unrestrained joy, and in that instant, all of Severus’s reservations melted away like snow beneath the sun. He could not deny her anything when she looked at him like that.
“Yay!” she squealed, her voice a melody of delight. She quickly ushered him to a nearby chair, her hands moving with purpose as she began to untangle the strands of his hair. As her fingers slipped through the silky locks, Severus felt a strange mixture of vulnerability and warmth. He was accustomed to being the one in control, yet here he was, yielding to her playful whims.
“Your hair is so soft,” she remarked, a hint of awe in her voice. “Have you been using that conditioning potion I recommended?”
“Perhaps,” he replied, feigning nonchalance even as he felt his heart rate quicken at her touch. The way she concentrated, her brows slightly furrowed, made her even more endearing. He watched as she sectioned his hair, her movements precise and graceful.
“Now, let’s see,” she murmured to herself, her focus unwavering. “A braid? A twist? No… I know!” With a burst of inspiration, she began to weave his hair into intricate patterns, her fingers dancing like a skilled artist. Severus felt a surge of warmth at her dedication, each tug and pull both comforting and invigorating.
As she worked, they exchanged soft, teasing banter, laughter spilling from their lips like the most precious potion. Y/N’s enthusiasm was contagious, and soon even Severus found himself enjoying the process. She recounted tales of her students’ antics in the greenhouse, her expressive gestures painting vivid images that made him chuckle despite himself.
“I’ve decided this is the look you should adopt,” Y/N announced triumphantly, securing the final braid with a delicate ribbon. She stepped back to admire her handiwork, her eyes sparkling with delight.
Severus caught his reflection in the nearest mirror, and for the first time, he saw something different—something that spoke of connection, of warmth, and of a world beyond the cold, dark potions and brewing shadows that had long defined him. “It appears I have been transformed into a woodland sprite,” he remarked dryly, but the corners of his mouth betrayed the fondness he felt.
Y/N clapped her hands, bouncing on her heels. “You look incredible! I can’t believe you ever doubted this.” She stepped forward, her fingers brushing against his cheek as she leaned in, eyes softening. “I love seeing this side of you.”
In that moment, the air crackled with an unspoken truth. Severus felt an overwhelming swell of affection for her—how she brought light into his otherwise somber existence. Her laughter filled the silence he had grown so accustomed to, and he couldn’t help but admire the way her passion made even the darkest corners of the castle feel alive.
“Perhaps,” he began, the words feeling foreign yet exhilarating on his tongue, “I could tolerate such transformations more often, provided it remains… just between us.”
Y/N beamed, her joy radiant and uncontained. “Deal! But next time, I’m trying out a crown braid!”
As she leaned against him, resting her head on his shoulder, Severus felt the weight of his walls crumbling further. In her presence, he was not merely the Potions Master; he was something more—something hopeful, something cherished. Together, they sat in the soft glow of the firelight, a tangle of hair and heart, weaving a bond that transcended the very magic of the world around them.

SWEET MELODY
☆ chapter four — gtfo watching madagascar (🎂)

You had high hopes for how this would go, at least.
Sitting in your car and mindlessly driving to the very house you spent a lot of your childhood in was daunting. The familiar road stretched ahead, winding through the streets on your journey like a thin ribbon of what you wanted to know well, but couldn't fully. You couldn't bring yourself to look on the sides of you just yet, not looking for any lack of preparation.
Your hands gripped the steering wheel tightly, knuckles white as you took a sharp breath in. You parked the car, and sat there in the daylight of the hour. Your eyes darkened, moving your head down as you slumped back in your seat. Your shoulders down, and your general disposition horrible.
You didn't want to look up, because it was just how you remembered it. And if you were able to remember that, then by that jurisdiction, there was a 95% chance that this was part of your life that you just dug up again.
You pictured it as clearly as it stood: a quaint, two-story home with the front porch that you had your first kiss on, adorned with hanging baskets of vibrant violets that were picked from the hanging nature of the home. Looking to be inviting, yet intimidating. Tree-lined streets with overgrown lawns, and kids bicycles scattered haphazardly on adjacent driveways, the scent of cut grass filling your sinuses. You found yourself in a both comforting and disconcerting mood.
You sat in your car, staring blankly at the dashboard with the glee you had from cleaning your shop wiped off your face. "You can do this," You exhaled. "You can do this."
The trees, thick with summer foliage and vines draped on the walls, casting dappled shadows on the seemingly new asphalt. You drove through that road for the first time today instead of walking, hoping in your head that the rapid beating of your heart would cease soon. The air was full with the smell of blooming nature.
Gathering your resolve that presented itself in small and opposing glass shards to you, you opened your car door and stepped out. The crunch of gravel on your feet as you hurriedly took the gift of well prepared strawberry pies made small enough to be bite-sized. The sun blazed on you promptly, but nothing could take the chills on your skin.
You walked up the path, the looming front door with its always new paint that seemed to never chip under Ei’s rule was waiting for you. Your eyebrows furrowed in total dread, you bated your breath only for exactly who you figured to open the door once you rang the doorbell.
“(Y/N).” Ei stood there beautifully, but it was still surreal seeing her look the exact same as she did years ago. Her warm, welcoming smile and her eyes twinkling, except this time, it was of nostalgic wonder. “Did you find it okay? I did a lot more work from when you were here last.”
“Yeah, no! It looks…” Your eyes wandered, trying to find the right words to say before giving up. “It looks amazing, Miss Ei. No wonder why I used to really like playing royalty here.”
Ei stepped back promptly. “Come in. You can set your treats on the table.”
“Thank you,” You greeted her politely, walking into the home with the familiar and faint scent of lavender and old wood corrupting your nose. You knew the years have gone by, justice how it hardly looks the same from when you were a kid.
“You’ll find a lot of old items in different places now, my apologies. A lot of my appliances needed updating, so the kitchen is quite different now.” She explained from the main hall, setting up comfortable pillows for you to sit.
“This is really lovely…everything’s exactly in your style.” You marveled to yourself, before snapping out of it and setting the treats on the counter. “I’m sorry, Miss Ei. I didn’t mean to wander.” You laughed nervously.
“My home is your home, to this day.” She still presented you the same adoring smile she did as you sat down. “Yae won’t be here for another hour. In the meantime, I suppose we should discuss what you’re comfortable doing at my wedding.”
You sighed in relief. “Oh, Miss Ei. I actually did come here as well to see if you could pull some strings for me too regarding that, but it looks like you were ten steps ahead of me!” You laughed, always seemingly nervous. “I just didn’t want to betray your wishes…you mean a lot to me.”
“As do you, which leads me to believe that…” Ei sighed to herself promptly. “I did get a little carried away in your honor. Being so excited seeing you and reliving what I once knew felt euphoric. But as it turns out…I’m doubtful things are able to be that way at all.”
“I don’t think that’s true, to be at your side at all is a really amazing request considering the circumstances!” You smiled. “Please don’t worry about the outcome, you should feel the most relaxed at your own wedding, okay?”
You tried to ignore the heavy weight crushing you.
The former shook her head. “It is not that I am worried about,” She paused, her tone a bit more sullen than what was normal. “By chance on that day he went to your home, did he say anything he shouldn’t have?”
You blinked, and as soon as you realized what she asked, you stopped moving. Instead of feeling like your limbs were attempting to make up for the lack of brain space you had, you felt like you were struggling to stay afloat. “Uh,” You stammered, feeling your body tremble. “I’m sorry,” You replied carefully before your voice dropped to a low murmur, “Don’t really remember a lot…I don’t think he did, though.”
“Is it truly that?” Ei’s expression softened, but there was something else that you couldn’t quite place before— she looked concerned, perhaps, maybe regret. “It’s very important that you’re honest to me.”
You were unease, but not because of her. There was something you weren’t letting yourself remember, and instead of mulling on it, you forced a smile for Ei. “Everything is okay with me, I promise, Miss Ei. The last thing I want is to burden you both…I plan to make your wedding perfect.”
The mothers nodded slowly, but her eyes lingered on you, as if looking for something else that your face betrayed of you. “I understand,” she replied softly, before sighing with a melancholy undertone. “You are a very selfless person, there is nothing to pinpoint about you that would make you a bad person. It’s unfair how life treats the wise, isn’t it?”
Before you were about to respond, the sound of the front door opening drew the attention of the two of you. You turned, and immediately everything that you ever said was forgotten the minute that the outstanding and intimidating presence of Ei’s very son, Kunikuzushi, was standing there with his suitcase. His presence ever commanding and rough.
“Fuck are they doing here?” He asked, as if you were a speck of dust he had no trouble in not paying mind to.
“They are here to help me plan my wedding. One that you have no interest in helping me in, so I’d suggest you keep your snide comments to yourself.” Ei’s tone was direct, almost like a warning shot to him. She stared at him with much more intensity than she ever would you.
“You have no business inviting non-family to your little event, you’re just interested in pissing me off.” His words dug into you like it was a knife plunging into your core. “I mean, what can they even offer you that isn’t equivalent to a fart in the wind?”
“They are family. It is my wedding, Kunikuzushi, and I may do what I please. I may invite who I please, and if you don’t like who I invite, you are happy to do clean up. Less chances of you ever having to see who you don’t want there, is it?”
“Family to who, a dead mom and probably an even deader brother?” He couldn’t help but chortle, before the sheer velocity of a slipper Ei strikes against the center of his nasion, groaning in pain as he stood there for a long time recovering.
“Go,” Ei’s voice was louder. “I had my doubts that you’d actually be civil, but this is ridiculous. It’d be in your best interest not to come out until the both of us are gone.”
Your heart burned in your chest, a fire that wasn’t to be put out. With each silent and shallow breath you took, the harder it was to grasp. Especially when his piercing eyes took a gander at you, before sizing you up quietly. You refused to look him in the eye, narrowing them down.
He could only scoff and wince from how much pain shot through his face, a small and aggravating smile appeared on his lips. His attention turned back to Ei, “Didn’t know you were interested in inviting the circus to your wedding. I would have brought better farm animals, if that were the case.”
“I’m not interested in your suggestions, you have severely agitated me. Go unpack, and leave us to our conversation.” Ei spat. “You should not even be back right now, it is hours before sunset.”
Your eyes never rang that much, the universe around you blurring and fading as the intense and high-pitched sound began dominating every sense you had. It had you feel like you were submerged in a deep and murky water, a muffled and distant echo of their conversation playing out.
Heartbeat echoing in your ears, a counterpoint to the endlessness of your own ears failing you. You squeezed your eyes in pain, finding solace in at least the darkness, your head wandering with thoughts that you didn't think you'd ever have. Vision wavering, the edges of your sight blurred as the ringing became even more insistent. Your own body was failing you.
Safe to say, you couldn't do this.

A Perfect Christmas Eve
Nanami Kento x Black plus size reader
Warnings: Doggy style, Fingering, Praise kink, Squirting, Creampie , Oral sex ( f. receiving)
Snow fell lightly outside, frosting the edges of the windows as the soft glow of Christmas tree lights filled the room. You were curled up on the couch, wearing a cozy, oversized sweater that hugged your curves just right, with Nanami seated beside you, his hand resting protectively on your thigh.
The day had been perfect so far homemade cookies dusted with powdered sugar, Christmas movies you both laughed at, and thoughtful presents exchanged under the tree. But now, as the evening settled into a comfortable quiet, Nanami’s gaze lingered on you longer than usual.
“You look beautiful tonight,” he said, his deep voice calm but filled with sincerity. His eyes softened as they roamed over your rich brown skin, which seemed to glow in the warm lights. “But then again, you always do.”
A warm flush crept up your cheeks. “You’re too sweet, Kento,” you said with a small laugh, though the way he looked at you made your heart race.
“I’m just honest,” he replied, his lips curling into the faintest smile. He leaned over, brushing a kiss to your temple before standing and offering you his hand. “Come with me.”
You slipped your hand into his, his larger palm engulfing yours as he led you to the bedroom. The space was softly lit by candles he’d prepared earlier, their warm glow casting dancing shadows across the room.
Nanami turned to you, his hands resting gently on your hips as his thumbs traced slow circles over the fabric of your sweater. “Tonight isn’t just about Christmas,” he murmured, leaning down so his lips brushed your ear. “It’s about us.”
He took his time, carefully slipping your sweater over your head, revealing your body's soft curves. His fingers trailed over your smooth skin, lingering on the places he loved most the curve of your waist, the fullness of your hips, and the softness of your stomach.
“You’re stunning,” he whispered, his voice thick with admiration. “Every inch of you.”

Nanami knelt before you, his warm hands caressing your plush thighs through the soft material of your leggings. His eyes roamed over your body with a quiet intensity that made your heart race.
“You’ve been on my mind all day,” he murmured, leaning forward to press a kiss to your knee before hooking his fingers under the waistband of your leggings. “But right now, I want to see all of you.”
Slowly, he slid the fabric down your legs, his knuckles brushing against your skin in a way that sent shivers through you. He kissed along the newly exposed skin, his lips trailing from your calf to your inner thigh. Once your leggings and underwear were discarded, Nanami took a moment to admire you, his gaze filled with adoration.
“You’re breathtaking,” he whispered, his voice thick with emotion as his hands traced over the curve of your hips and the softness of your stomach.
Before you could respond, he began to unbutton his shirt, his movements deliberate and unhurried. He shrugged it off his shoulders, revealing the toned lines of his chest and arms, before moving to unbuckle his belt. The sound of the leather sliding free sent a spark of anticipation through you, and when he finally stood before you, completely bare, your breath caught at the sight of him.
Nanami leaned down, capturing your lips in a deep, lingering kiss as he gently guided you back onto the bed. His hands roamed your body, mapping every curve and dip with a reverence that made you feel cherished.
Nanami knelt between your legs, spreading them gently as he lowered his mouth to your core. His tongue teased your folds with deliberate strokes, each movement designed to drive you wild. His hands gripped your thighs, holding you steady as he focused on your clit, circling the sensitive bud with expert precision.
“Kento,” you gasped, your hands fisting the sheets as his tongue worked magic against you.
He responded with a low hum, the vibration adding to the overwhelming sensations building in your core. One hand slid upward, his fingers slipping through your slickness before pressing into you with careful precision.
“Look at you,” he murmured, his lips brushing against your swollen folds. “So beautiful when you’re like this. So perfect for me.”
He added a second finger, curling them just right as his thumb brushed over your clit. The combined sensations had your hips bucking toward his mouth, desperate for more.
When the release came, it was explosive, a gush of pleasure that left you trembling beneath him. “Good girl,” he murmured, his tone filled with pride as he continued to coax you through your high, his lips curling into a satisfied smile.
Before you could catch your breath, Nanami shifted, turning you onto your hands and knees. His large hands gripped your hips, pulling you back against him as he positioned himself at your entrance.
“Do you trust me?” he asked, his voice soft but commanding.
“Yes,” you breathed, your heart pounding with anticipation.
Nanami’s hands firmly gripped your plush hips, his thumbs tracing soft circles over the dips of your curves as he positioned you on your hands and knees. The glow of the Christmas lights bathed the room in a soft, warm hue, and you felt the weight of his gaze roaming over your body.
“God, you’re stunning,” he murmured, his voice low and reverent. His hand slid down your back, smoothing over the curve of your waist and settling at the swell of your hip. “I could look at you like this forever.”
A shiver ran through you at his words, and you tilted your hips slightly, pressing back against him in silent encouragement. He chuckled softly, the sound rich and deep. “So eager,” he teased, leaning forward to press a kiss to the back of your neck. “But don’t worry, love. I’ll take care of you.”
You felt the blunt head of his length brush against your entrance, the sensation sending a thrill through your body. Slowly, he pushed inside, stretching you inch by inch until he was buried fully within you.
“Look at how perfectly you take me,” he groaned, his hands tightening on your hips. “So tight........so warm.”
As you adjusted to the fullness, your fingers curled into the sheets, your breaths coming in shallow gasps. “Kento,” you moaned, turning your head slightly to catch a glimpse of him.
“I’m here,” he replied, his voice full of reassurance. He leaned down, his chest brushing against your back as he kissed your shoulder. “I’ve got you, love. Just let me make you feel good.”
He began to move, his strokes slow and deep, each thrust measured to hit that perfect spot inside you. The sound of skin meeting skin filled the room, mingling with the soft crackle of the fireplace and your breathy moans.
“Does that feel good?” he asked, his tone husky as he rolled his hips, grinding into you in a way that made your toes curl.
“Yes,” you gasped, your voice trembling with need. “So good. Don’t stop.”
His pace quickened slightly, his thrusts growing more deliberate as he found a rhythm that had you arching back against him. One hand slid up your spine, his fingers tangling in your hair as he gently tugged, forcing you to lift your head.
“Look at you,” he murmured, his lips brushing against the shell of your ear. “You’re incredible. Every sound you make and how your body responds to me is perfect.”
The hand in your hair trailed back down, slipping under your body to find your clit. His fingers worked in tandem with his thrusts, drawing tight circles that sent shockwaves through your entire body.
“Can you feel how well you fit me?” he groaned, his voice strained with restraint. “You’re squeezing me so perfectly. It’s like you were made for me.”
You whimpered, your body trembling as the coil of pleasure in your belly tightened to an almost unbearable point. “Kento, I—”
“I know,” he cut in, his tone soft but commanding. “Let go for me, love. I want to feel all of you.”
With his words, the tension snapped, and your orgasm washed over you like a tidal wave. Your body clenched around him, a gush of warmth soaking his thighs as your release spilled out.
“That's it, baby,” he growled, his movements growing rougher as he chased his own climax. The sound of your moans and the feel of your body trembling beneath him drove him over the edge. He thrust deep one final time, spilling into you with a low, guttural groan.
Nanami collapsed beside you, pulling you into his arms as you both caught your breath. He pressed a kiss to your forehead, his fingers gently tracing patterns on your back.
“You’re incredible,” he whispered, his voice filled with love and admiration. “Merry Christmas.”
You smiled, snuggling into his chest as the warmth of his embrace surrounded you. “Merry Christmas, Kento.”
As the snow continued to fall outside, you knew this was a moment you’d hold close to your heart forever.

There was something about you that made Maxime Le Mal rather..shy. Or perhaps it was that the prospect of all your flirting back and forth with each other had actually developed into something more. Something that excited him and made him anxious at the same time. Something..he’d been longing for. Pining for, even. He’d grown very, very smitten with you as you both lounged on your couch, wine in hand. He loved the way you laughed, light and airy. That you weren’t afraid to sass him and crack jokes. He adored the way you looked at him with such interest and joy shining in your eyes. And, although he was almost scared to admit it for the moment, he felt electrified with excitement each time you reached out to touch him among your gestures while you spoke. Whether you jostled his side in playful jest or pat him on the back…to when you touched him on the knee while you spoke to him, eyes locked on each other’s. He’d grown..conflicted about his coat. Longing to take it off, to be that much closer to you. And afraid. Afraid of what you would say or do..but he was about to be surprised by your boldness.
“Can I see?” You asked with such an innocent look and tone to your voice it snapped him out of his thoughts, and for a minute he wasn’t sure what you were talking about - had he zoned out of the conversation and lost track of it that badly? “Uh..heh heh…You mean me in all my glory, mon amie?" Maxime spread his arms out slightly and gestured to himself with a smug, confident expression as he tried to joke and tease his way back into the conversation you were having. Which…was swiftly wiped off his face and just as swiftly replaced by pure fluster and surprise when you simply exclaimed: “Yes!”. He dropped his hands back to his lap and chuckled awkwardly again, feeling the heat rise to his skin. “You are already viewing it, no?” He broke out into another grin, another swift recovery as he framed his face in a V with his thumb and index finger and grinned at you. He felt his heart quicken its step in his chest at the prospect of just what you were asking of him. You seemed to find his reactions amusing at least as your face squinted with your smile, almost laughing at his antics.
“How about…a trade?” You suggested mischievously, a certain sparkle in your eye. This seemed to recapture his attention once more, but before he could ask what the deal was..You moved in, capturing his face gently with your palm and guiding him into your lips. You had been toying with the man softly all evening, watching the effect you hand on him, and now you wanted more. In his surprise his antennae sprang out from their hiding place among his hair style, stiffening before twitching wildly with his emotions. Your kiss was electric, going straight to his core as blush filled his cheeks. This was happening. You were kissing him! You! As soon as he was over the initial shock, Maxime melted into your body and kissed you back. Raising his own hand he cupped your cheek in turn and pressed slightly more feverish kisses into your sweet lips. He hummed soft moans of appreciation and leant in briefly even as you pulled away. “Mon dieu..zhat was….amazing..” He breathed softly, searching your face for your own emotions, and seeing nothing but a pleased and flirtatious look on your face that only entranced him further.
You cast your gaze upward briefly at his twitching antennae.. “A-are..you are sure - You..?....” Maxime trailed off, blush dusting his cheeks as he noticed you paying such close attention to him. Fair was fair and for a kiss like that he’d give you anything, but..he wanted to be sure you were serious. You needn’t reply verbally, your hand reaching out to brush over his delicate antennae to bestow your affection there. “A-ah, c-careful- zhey are…very..eh-…s-sensitive..” He tried to hold your gaze for a moment, in hopes that you would understand his meaning, before glancing away shyly. Curling his fingers in his lap he choked down a small groan of arousal as you played with his antennae. Maxime leaned more into your touch briefly before growing the courage to take more of what he wanted, your sweet and soft lips on his. He brushed your cheek tenderly with his thumb, languidly making out with you for as long as you would allow him to indulge.
Cupping his hand on your cheek you wrapped your fingers around his to lift his hand away, catching his attention. You settled his hand at your hip, Maxime's eyes frantically searching yours for any inclination as to what was going to happen next. “Please?.. Let me?..” You asked, your hands moving to the gemstone buttons of his coat. “Ma chérie…w-wait..” Maxime stopped you softly, his hesitance obvious on his face as he looked at you with worry. “What’s wrong my sweet?” You asked, ever sweeter by the second to him. He pulled away from you softly with a small sigh, embarrassment growing as he waved a hand around slightly and turned to hide his face in it briefly in frustration. “Je ne sais pas..” he moved his glasses up to rub at the bridge of his nose. “..Maxime?” your gentle voice called to him like an angel yet his shoulders sagged. “I am…afraid..” he mumbled into his coat collar as he hunkered down. His blush deepened as you sat in silence, waiting for him to continue. “Zhat..you….you won’t like it…won’t like..me.." He glanced away again, not able to look you in the face.
You watched as his antennae drooped down expressively, tilting your head at him slightly as a small worry pinched your brow a little tighter. “It’s nothing I haven’t seen before..?” You suggested truthfully, thinking back to his grand reveal some time ago. Maxime crossed his arms to the suggestion the two times were equal in any regard. “Ceci est différent-…what we are doing is….is..” Intimate. The tips of his ears burned red at the thought of where this was going..even if it was something he craved. “Yes..and that’s what I want. To see you. To admire you….To touch and hold you..” You trailed off lightly, reaching out to smooth over his antennae and hair, watching as he shivered under your touch. Maxime couldn’t help but look at you now, drawn in by your words though his face was flushed so red you could almost feel the heat radiating off him. He didn’t realise he was holding his breath, waiting to see where your words and touch would go, what part of him they’d strike pleasantly next. “To love you..” You smirked, unable to help it as you leant in to press another kiss to his lips. Maxime practically pounced you, a small joyous huff of a laugh leaving him as he adorned your face and lip with as many kisses as he could muster. He was still anxious about..well..a lot of it..but you were just so sweet. So perfect. So loving. And it was all directed his way, bolstering his confidence.
“Ne joue pas avec moi…I beg..” Maxime held your face in his hands, looking into your eyes for the truth behind your words..his own full of hope and fragility. “Let me love you..” You almost pleaded with him to let you in, let you closer to him, wrapping your arms around as much of his thick coat as you could to give the man a hug. With a small whimper somewhere between overflowing adoration and gratitude - and the worry of what would happen when you finally saw. But he dropped his forehead to yours, taking an unsteady breath in, begging you in return “...Please.. Be gentle with me, ma chérie..” If your reaction was bad..well, he hoped you would spare him the worst of it. You nuzzled into his cheek cutely as he sat back again, eyes flicking over you anxiously and antennae twitching.
Taking Maxime’s gloved hand in your own you gave it a gentle squeeze, feeling him return the action. He followed your lead as you stood up and turned towards him and let go, his hands raising to fiddle with each other nervously. His heart was racing and as he went to undo the top gem, he found your hands already there, removing the fabric from around the gemstone. So he stood anxiously like a statue, fidgeting at his sides. Torn between looking away and watching you cautiously for your immediate reaction, knowing it would be the most honest one. You helped him out of his coat, walking around him to free up his arms, able to get a good look at him as you did so. He merely stood there: clasping his hands together as the second set rasped over each other with his swirling anxiety, tucked tight to his body out of the way.
He tried on his slightly false bravado once more “Well…w’at do you think, huh? I am…magnifique.. y-yes?” He gestured at himself with his hands, the other more insectoid limbs spreading out slightly in gesture with the others to show himself off. But his expression read nothing but panic. He slicked his hand through his hair again, antennae popping back forward after the motion. You laid his coat on the back of the couch out of the way for him and returned to his front to stand before him. Maxime cleared his throat, eyes dancing between you and the floor, previous bravado waning away again. “So…” he swallowed thickly “I- I understand..if..you could never-” his shoulders slumped a little further, unsure if he wanted to finish his sentence..or even if he could. You shushed him softly, boldly reaching out to his raptorial claws, the ends sharp like a sickle and spiked - his immediate reaction was to flinch slightly and pull away just a tad, but also watch you like a hawk in surprise at your willingness.
“You are magnificent.” You agreed with his earlier words, raising one to kiss it. Maxime seemed too stunned and flustered to say anything; at least until you tried to draw his insect arms around your body, your actions turning him pink in the face again. “C-Careful..zhey are sharp..” He swallowed as he warned you again, not wanting to injure you..but he also couldn’t help but relish the closeness as you drew them together. You could feel the flex of his arms tightening slightly to pull you just a little closer..and you responded by putting your arms around his neck. Maxime was quick to press his face into you, his more human arms coming up to join the others and cradle you in a hug as you held each other. “You…y-you are not…not disgusted..or…or repulsed-..?” You could feel the light tremble that came with his words as he grew emotional over your actions.”Of course not! I think you’re wonderful! This is amazing. - Besides” you pat his insect arms that were still around your waist. “It’s you. That’s what I care about most.”.
Maxime let out a gentle sob as you voiced your acceptance, his hands now cradling the back of your head through fistfuls of your hair. “J-je ne peux p-pas croire..” he mumbled little half finished phrases into your shoulder, his antennae tickling you a little as his body hiccupped with his emotions. Thankfully he didn’t seem to be crying too hard, you weren’t looking to bring down the mood - and truthfully, he was just overjoyed! “I’m attracted to the fact that it’s you. How you react when I touch you. When I kiss you.” You further informed. True it was hard to be..sexually attracted to a cockroach..but the fact that it was Maxime is what made it so alluring. Your attraction was beyond physical, but you clearly had no problem showing love to those parts of him. Evident in how your hands slipped under his wings to run up the sensitive part of his back. Maxime hummed softly before sniffing, a different kind of tremble rattling him for a moment as he leant back slightly. He took the moment to lift his glasses and wipe at his face. “L..Love me..please?” He pleaded with you softly to show him more of your affection.
You were all too happy to oblige, already in the midst of doing so. You turned your affections back to his face, peppering him with little kisses until you reached his lips to make out once more. He was quick to lose himself in your love, humming softly as he pressed eagerly into your lips, slipping tongues into each other’s mouths. Knowing that you were okay with his body only stoked the fire in his body more - desperate to keep contact with you until your lips grew sore. Taking a break you kissed along his jaw and down his neck, biting softly at his flesh caused his grip to sandwich you closer to him as he let out a grunt of approval. His breathing quickened as you sucked a mark there, claiming him for yourself. Feeling himself go weak in the knees he almost buckled under your love.
You laughed softly at him, Maxime giving you a wobbly awkward smile in return as he tried to sort out his composure, running a hand through his hair and exhaling a long breath. “Come on” You took his clawed arm in your hand, gently tugging him towards the bedroom - Maxime almost stumbling his way after you eagerly. He couldn’t believe this was really happening! You had so much love for him and..he couldn’t wait to feel all of it. You hummed thoughtfully as you entered the room and cleared your bed of decorative pillows “Are..you okay with being on your back..? Or ..is that uncomfortable?” You asked him curiously, most bugs didn’t like being the wrong side up and you were concerned he’d be bothered by it with his wings and all. Maxime gave you the most adoring look in return for your concern “It is no problem ma cherie, w’atever is best for you, is good with Maxime!” he waved you towards the bed with a flick of his fingers. You sat yourself on the bed and gave it a pat, gesturing for him to join you, Maxime moving to lay down with your guidance.
He swallowed nervously as you straddled him, settling yourself on his abdomen as he placed his hands on his chest, the other set going lax onto the bed out of the way. “..Is zhis okay?” He asked tentatively, “You are comfortable?”. He received your happy nod in response “Are you?” you asked in return, gaining back a “Oui”. Maxime was about to hesitantly ask how you’d like to proceed but, it seemed you had that handled as you moved in to resume where you left off earlier. With you bending to reach down to his lips and him eagerly propping himself up with a claw to get closer, his hands moving to your waist as your tongues slipped into each others mouths. Your deep and loving kisses had him almost breathless as you pulled away, spreading them slowly down his chitinous body until you couldn’t bend to reach any further. He squirmed a little under your kisses, little exclamations leaving his lips as you applied your soft affections down his chest. He watched you with eager eyes for your next move, as you refocused your attention on his antennae. Caressing over them and his hair he let out a blissful sigh, the sensory appendages flicking back up to touch at your hands for more contact. Maxime closed his eyes with a pleased hum that derailed into a shaky moan of pleasure as you captured one between your fingers and ran down the length of it.
You continued to focus there as it seemed to make him the most vocal, pulling moan after moan out of him as they alternated between whiny and deeper, but always so very needy sounding. Soft little pleads began to leave his lips for more as you twirled one around your finger, gently pulling. Maxime’s hands were occupied with your hips, kneading into them harshly as his grunt filtered out into a long moan. His hips pressed up into your body, jostling you slightly as he tried to rub against you. His little thrusts drew your attention downwards, but your hands leaving his antennae caused a pitiful whine to leave him, silenced quickly by you kissing him. You pressed your hands into his body, trailing downwards again, this time shifting yourself down his legs to reach his lower abdomen where his body stopped. A thoughtful hum rumbled in your chest. Maxime panting softly squirmed a little more with his pleasure as it ebbed away, before propping himself up to look at you, his face flushed. “Please..please..” he whined, eyebrows knitting together “Don’t stop now.. I am so close..to…to..” he dropped his head back briefly with a huff, hands running down your thighs. “W-well..how should I..?” You started and after a moment Maxime propped himself up again at your obvious hesitation.
He glanced away bashfully for a moment. “I-...eh… don’t ‘ave..” he gestured below slightly and cleared his throat. “Everything is..internal…so..c'est gênant, je sais..” he worried at the fabric of the bedsheets with his fingers. “But can you still…cum?” you asked, face hot with the topic despite your actions. Maxime made a non-committal sound “C'est embarrassant…N-no but I can still have an org- o-oh -! Merde-!”. You didn’t wait for Maxime to finish his sentence, that was all you needed to know as you tugged on his antennae, his body shaking under you with the sudden burst of arousal that shot through him. He gasped a little for air as his body relaxed again “I-I’ve not fffff-ugh- f-felt zhis good in..so long..you drive me wild. Touche-moi, je t'en supplie! -’ere- ‘ere, touch me, please!-”. Maxime took your hands and pressed them at the section of his body between his legs, and curiously you obliged him. Pressing down with your fingers and thumbs, massaging the softer underside of his body. He fist at the sheets, scrunching them up in his hands as his raptorial claws dug into the bed, writhing under your touch as you stimulated him. “‘Arder, mon amour, I-I can take much, much more-” he begged for you to be firmer with your touches, so you pressed harder into him as you massaged the area. Maxime responded by pressing his hips up into your hands, his panting interrupted only by his deep moans of approval.
“Swap with me..?” you asked of him, Maxime needing a second to get his thoughts together through his hazy thoughts that were scrambled by pleasure. “Huh? Oh- bien sûr..” He sat himself up, you shuffling back to give him some space - but Maxime was quick to capture your face with his hand and press his lips into yours to kiss again. You hummed sweetly, Maxime wrapping you up in his arms and moving around you - gently letting you fall against the plush bed so that he could settle above you. Putting his claws out he used them to steady himself as he laid on top of you, careful not to squish you with too much weight for now. His hands moved to your face, holding you there so that he could slip his tongue into your mouth again. The pair of you taking a moment to once again make out.
Maxime’s hips shifted against yours, gently grinding into you as his breathing picked up again. You took the opportunity to reach up to his dangling antennae and ensnare them in your loving grasp once more, winding them over your fingers. You laughed softly when one slipped loose and caressed your cheek, Maxime letting out a little huff of enjoyment himself as you reacted so positively to his body. He relaxed into you for a moment, nuzzling into your neck until you cupped his antennae to your cheek - turning your face you pressed a kiss to it that made Maxime buckle. “O-oh! Ohh..” He moaned breathily into your neck, his body shuddering on top of you as he curled in on you both.
Sticking out your tongue you wrapped around it, hot and wet and drew it through your mouth, Maxime only about to get out a tense whine on top of you as his hands balled up the sheets again. His wings twitched behind his back, fluttering and making a light buzzing as his body rest on the edge of an impending orgasm. You giggled softly again, releasing his antennae “You’re so cute! I love you” you cooed to him, enjoying the way his body responded to your love. Maxime looked at you with the most lovestruck expression possible “I love you too..so much...” he breathed, your words pushing him closer still. Hooking a leg around him you pressed his body into yours, lifting your hips to rut against him as he let out a little grunt of surprise. He responded quickly, wings fluttering as he pressed rocked his body into yours once more “Ohhh fuck..oh fuck..” he moaned again, unable to keep himself held up anymore he collapsed into your body.
“C-close - I am so close mon amour..” he whined into another deep moan, his eyes almost crossing in bliss as you tugged slowly on his antennae again from base to tip. Maxime choked out a noise as his hips stuttered, you took his chin between your thumb and forefinger and pressed your lips firmly into his. Fingers wrapping tight around his antennae you pulled firmly, his cry muffled by your mouth. His movements became sharp and sloppy against you as he reached his peak, his moan deep and guttural as his muscles locked up into a tremble. You still moved against him helping ease out his pleasure, your kisses directed to his cheek as you unwound your fingers from him to run them through his hair. He whined another moan into your neck, collapsing fully he squished you under him. His limbs stretched out as all he could do was simply heave for breath after the exertion of his orgasm. You ran one of your hands through his hair, eliciting little shivers out of him - your other hand reaching to hold one of his hands and entwine your fingers. Maxime nuzzled into your neck with a hum, still getting used to the tingling and relaxed feeling that was flowing through his body, slowly beginning to kiss you there in appreciation. His kisses tickled as you snuggled him back, giving a gentle squeeze to his hand that was returned. He fluttered his wings back into place neatly and let out a long, pleased sigh.
“Stay with me..? Forever.. Let me be yours..” Maxime managed to prop himself up enough to gaze into your eyes, longing and desperate for your commitment “Tu m'aimes..as I am..like zhis..I ‘ave never felt more alive. More cherished..”. Cupping his face you brushed your thumbs over his cheeks, Maxime tilting his head into your touch more, his antennae sagging and relaxed in front of his face. “I’ll love you with all my heart, Maxime” you promised with a smile, eyes crinkling in the corners with your delight. He let out a short, happy laugh and flopped into you once more, head nestled under your chin as you settled down for a comfortable night together. “...Let me recover, s'il te plaît..then..I return the favour..heh” He chuckled with a smirk, promising you the night of your life next.

I don't get why people hate on different fire emblem games. I've had a lovely time with every game I've played, even fates, which people for some reason insist sucks? It's so good. Here's my favorite things about each game I've played just cause. I am very sick so no one can criticize me btw.
Binding: obviously goes for all gba games but the battle animations are so!!!!! Lovely and charming. Roy's just a silly guy, Lilina :], the cast is excellent, everyone from the most insignificant playable characters to the nastiest of villains like Narcian and Jahn is just so fun and nicely written.
Blazing: I LOVE THE ELIBEAN LORDS SO MUCH THEY HAVE MY ENTIRE HEART AND SOUL. I think fe7 has my favorite cast. Everyone is awesome like in fe6 but cranked up a notch. And I quite like how this game isn't about war!!! Lyn's just trying to save her grandpa and Eliwood is searching for his dad. There's some hints of civil war here and there but ultimately less war than usual which is quite fun and interesting.
Sacred stones: I adore how the game is like. almost horror. In my ideal fe8 remake they would lean into the horror aspect a more and maybe have a higher age rating. I really love how it starts out like any other fe game then you start to see monsters and then there's the necromancy and characters like Riev who worship this vile demonic thing. And the art director for this game was Wada Sachiko! She was such an excellent choice for the art director because her style leans into the darker feel than fe6 and 7. Also I'm a Christian so I do really enjoy L'Arachel's character where she's obviously inspired by Christianity but not in an offensive way. She's a nice god(s) (?) honoring teenage girl full of whimsy and optimism!!! Also I love Eirika. Did a cosplay of her once and gotta say, I felt drop dead gorgeous in it lol.
Path of radiance: I have yet to finish this one but oh MAN do I love the artstyle and combat and character design. Not a single bad character, they're all nicely written. Except Devdan but he's not real if we ignore him. I love how believable Ike and Mist are as siblings and I got say I actually find the bad voice acting to be charming, especially in that opening cutscene where Mist says something like "you're finally awake! 'bout time!" like she's so silly and cute I would die for her. I also really love how Ike is not royalty, he's just some guy!!! With autism!!! Like for a while my view of Ike was kinda skewed by looking at super smash bros content of him so then playing the game and discovering he's such a kind, reasonable and autistic dude was a very pleasant surprise. Seriously though this dude NEEDS to get assessed. Anyway I quite like the laguz too. Reyson, Tibarn and Caineghis are my favorites and I'm excited to see more of Kurthnaga because he's got such a pleasant design. Also just. Caineghis is probably one of my top favorite character designs ever, like top 20. It goes so unbelievably hard.
Awakening: THE TRAGEDY. THE TRAGEDY OF EMMERYN'S DEATH. UWAAAGHHHHH. I love LOVE how Emmeryn is written, how you can't save her despite Lucina being able to time travel, how you're given the options "save Emmeryn? Yes or no?" and it doesn't matter if you pick yes cause she dies anyway. The cast is not quite on the same tier as fe7 or 8 and there's certainly some characters I do not like but my favorites really are just so wonderful and lovely. I'd kill and die for Henry, Maribelle, Libra, Gregor and like 5 other people. The child unit mechanic is also very fun! It's such a clever idea for a time travel game and it gives you so much control over how your units end up. The self sacrifice ending also makes me feel sick. /pos "there's better places to take a nap than on the ground, you know. Here, give me your hand" and then Robin reaches out to Chrom and the symbol of Grima is gone and when he pulls them in closer, he says "it's finally over." just. Ahdhdjsjsjsj!!!!!!!
Fates: now, I've only played birthright but it was a very nice experience. I went in expecting nothing and had my socks blown off. Combat is fun, characters are so silly billy and it's got such a nicely done representation of a broken families. It's nice. The characters and supports are nice, even if I do feel like we could've had a few less support chains. And idc if I doesn't make sense story wise, bringing back child units was fun!! Again with the unit customization but also it's so fun to give your favorite character a teenage/preteen kid that they have to deal with. Azama and Mitama's supports are peak silly. I think people would enjoy birthright more if they took it a little less seriously. It's full of whimsy and people ignore that in favor of comparing it to more serious games which I think is kinda unfair.
Shadows of Valentia: oh MAN. I LOVE THE TWO ARMIES MECHANIC!!!! And bangin' cast! Absolutely adore almost every single one of those gay bitches!!! The artstyle is so gorgeous and I hated the combat at first but grew a soft spot for it, it's so strange and I like it!!! Also the game is less hefty so my computer had an easier time running it than POR, awakening and fates which is quite nice too. I love Berkut's character (I won't defend him, he's a son of a bitch) and MAN Ian Sinclair really went HAM on that voice acting!!! Also Zeke and Tatiana feel handcrafted for me specifically. Angsty married couple? Where one has amnesia?? And the other is worried he'll leave her if he remembers another woman he was dating??? And they're voiced by Patrick Seitz and Cristina Vee, two of my favorite voice actors ever??????? SIGN ME UP!!!! I'm excited to eventually play the Marth games and see what else is up with Zeke :] also adore Celica, Silque, Jesse and Boey! Very nice, solid characters.
Three houses: different routes! DIFFERENT ROUTES!!!! You get to see all sides of a war and it's so fun piecing together the history of Fodlan and nature of Rhea's character as you play each route. And again, excellent voice acting!! And it was fun being in the 3h fandom when it first came out and seeing all the silly things the VAs did together. I've got like 400 hours on this game and it holds a special place in my heart cause it was the very first game I finished without help from siblings and it was my first fe game. Also banging soundtrack, fun and unique combat (LOVE battalions) and amazing characters.
Enage: now I'm only 8 chapters in, I think? Haven't been able to play it recently. But it's so fun! Before getting it, I hated the bright artstyle and character designs but they've grown on me and I have been enlightened so I now know that f!Alear is a cutie patootie and I love her. I love the mechanic of adopting animals. Like I am quite happy recent fe games have, in some aspects, become more a little more lighthearted and silly. I love variation in game series' and when the devs aren't way too formulaic!!! That being said I also love the archetypes!!! I just really love fire emblem :]
I'm excited to finish engage and POR and play more of the games :]
Sorry about the long ass ask, I'm full of love and I want people to know it because I wish other people could learn to be a little more positive and focus on the aspects of fe games that they like instead of being hardcore haters. Okay now everyone say thank you Senri Kita (fe9 art director) and Wada Sachiko

Mornings Like These | Jake Kiszka x GN!Reader
Warnings: none, pure fluff || Words: 716
You and jake share a quiet morning together.
-
You blinked the sleep from your eyes, rolling over to see Jake still bundled up in the covers, his long dark hair askew. You sighed, letting a gentle smile spread across your face. You sat up, peering towards the large window adjacent to your shared bed, the sun streaming in, casting a soft glow against the features of the room.
These were your favorite kinds of mornings, when you wake up before Jake and can watch the way the stress fades from his face as he sleeps. He was always so stressed about the tour, wanting it to be perfect, and you appreciated the moments where he could be calm, quiet, and let the lines relax from his face.
Moments pass, and you relish in the peace of the morning, while Jake starts to shift. Turning over, he gives you a lazy smile, eyes half lidded, feature soft. “G’morning beautiful.” He mumbles before lifting up to place a sweet kiss on your lips. You rest your palm against his cheek, “Morning baby, what do you want to do today?” you ask, keeping your voice soft to break the quiet ambience of the morning. He flops back onto his pillows, letting out a hum, “How about… We stay in bed, and you let me hold you.” He says, before moving to bury his face in your neck, you let out a surprised laugh at the soft kisses he leaves there, loving the way his arms feel around your waist.
"Well, if that’s what you really want,” You giggle out, wrapping your arms around him, pressing a kiss to the side of his head. You lay there, holding each other for who knows how long, savoring the feeling of being in each other's arms.
The quiet morning is ruined by a loud grumble from Jake’s stomach, forcing laughter from the both of you. You sit up, pushing your hair into somewhat of a cohesive style, before stretching until you get a satisfying pop from your back. You sigh, casting a glance at Jake, who's buried himself under the covers again. You pat the man-shaped lump in the bed as you stand, “C’mon babe, I’ll make you breakfast,” You say, leaving the room and walking towards the kitchen. Jake followed close behind, not bothering to fix his behead.
He flops down onto a chair at the kitchen table, rubbing the sleep from his eyes. You rummage around the kitchen, grabbing two bowls from the cabinet, pouring the cereal and filling the bowl with milk. You cross, placing Jake’s bowl in front of him, “Your favorite, my specialty, Cinnamon toast crunch,” you laugh, sitting down in your own chair across from him. You watch as he loads an obscene amount of cereal onto his spoon, shoveling it into his mouth all at once. “This is great babe,” He says, words garbled from the food, milk dripping down his chin. You scoff at him, wrinkling your nose at his habits, “Ew, Jake.” You laugh, before taking your own bite, he pulls a face at you, making you snort, effectively shooting cereal milk out of your nose.
You laugh, coughing and sputtering on the meal, trying to catch your breath as Jake cackles at you. “You should’ve seen your face!” He squeals between laughs, he slams his hand down on the table as he calms down. “Sorry, that was great, y/n, truly.” He cries, wiping fake tears from his eyes. You shake your head at him, wiping the stray milk from your face.
You grimace, “Cinnamon toast crunch doesn’t taste as good when it’s coming out your nose,” this causes Jake to start laughing all over again, you ignore him and finish your cereal before it kills you.
As Jake eats, you reach your hand across the table, feeling his hand slide into yours. “I love mornings like these,” you say, looking at him with all the adoration you can muster, hoping your expression get across your true feelings. “I love them, almost as much as I love you,” He says, smile cheesy and full of joy. You purse your lips at him, “you’re such a sap,”
“I guess that's why you stick around, huh?”
You roll your eyes at his dad joke, you’ll never get tired of mornings like these

Luo Yunxi's next drama is coming!
This is what we know can assume so far! I got so excited, I had to write about it!

Well, first of all, a lot of this information hasn't been confirmed yet. Particularly around the cast, there are many contradictory rumors.
The drama is currently called Shui Long Yin (水龙吟). It will likely start filming mid-November 2023 in Hangdian. It's going to be a long shoot with 4-5 month. This means it's likely going to have a full 40 episodes.
The drama is an adaptation of Teng Ping's novel 千劫眉. This is the author from the recently aired Mysterious Lotus Casebook. Going from what I have picked up from the original novel, there are some similarities between both stories, mainly centering on the dynamics between multiple male characters, with no female love interests. There is also the possibility, that MLC scriptwriters added some parts of 千劫眉 to the other story, so both might be a bit (too) similar. So we will see what kind of further adaption will be made.
The drama will be directed by Chen Zhoufei, who has done mostly modern dramas, as well as the recently shot Shao Nian Bai Ma Zui Chun Feng Season 2, another Wuxia bormance drama.
We can assume, that the drama will be produced by Otter Studio again, who already worked with Luo Yunxi for Immortality and Till The End of The Moon. As for the broadcast platforms, rumor has it, that there is an ongoing biting war between Yukou and Mango. Currently, it seems like Mango TV is winning, and the show will be additional aired on Hunan TV - which will reach a broader audience! I'm not an expert on this, but not many Wuxia and Xianxia dramas get aired on TV, so this is a big deal!
The rumored cast of the drama changes from day to day. The two names attached to the show the longest (besides Luo Yunxi) are Xiao Shun Yao and Chen Yao. Both have been acting with Luo Yunxi before in either TTEOTM or in Chen Yao's case in the yet to air Immortality and Follow Your Heart. There is another cast member of Follow Your Heart appearing on the possible cast list for the first time: Cheng Lei!

While I haven't seen Chen Yao in a drama yet, I'm really excited about the possibility of Xiao Shun Yao, who I loved in Mysterious Lotus Bookcase, and Cheng Lei, who was one of my favorites in My Journey to You. I'm trying not to get my hopes up, since the cast will likely change! But then there is also this:
As for the rest of the cast, in today's melon, Bao Shangen, Lin Yun and Yu Chengen are (tentative) named. All of them are young and upcoming actors. So far, there doesn't seem to be a real female lead, just like in the novel. However, other melons name Liu Haocun or Zhang Xueying (Princess Silver) or Bao Shangen as potential candidates for the female lead. So we will have to wait for the official announcement. But it's fun to speculate!
Another rumor I saw is that my beloved Sun Zhenni (Pianran from TTEOTM) will make a guest appearance! I also wouldn't be surprised to see some of the usual suspects making another appearance next to Luo Yunxi!
Now, as someone that adore world-building, I'm particularly excited about the style of the show. It's said to be a mix of wuxia and xianxia tropes and aesthetics, and this is a main reason that so many platforms are interested in it. We get some indicators from the poster.
Let's look at the details of the official poster:

White hair, I repeat, white hair! The main character Tang Lici is described as ruthless and is famous for his long white hair! I'm so excited for this. Are we finally going to see Luo Yunxi in white hair for a drama?!

I also love the color scheme of white, peach and black of the poster. It looks like there is a black flute stuck in his belt. He is also holding a bowl of food, maybe a seashell? That looks too random, to be a coincidence. So he likely will use musical cultivation as a weapon.

I'm not sure how the dragon relates to his character. Maybe he is one, maybe he is called one? Either way, it would be Luo Yunxi's third time playing a dragon, after Wangye and Runyu. This one seems to be related to water again.

In his most recent interview, Luo Yunxi mentioned, that he is already preparing for the role, learning lines and diving into his character. I can't wait for more!

hi slug!!! what do you think of the block party trailers?
Thank you for giving me the excuse to go finally listen to them.
Rivals: Hmm, this is a really interesting comparison! I wouldn't have immediately classified Doppo as a "act first, think later" character, but he definitely has those moments. The music is bouncy but not immediately doing it for me. I think it's one of those songs I'll grow to like quickly, though.
White and Black: (not to be confused with Doppo's Black or White, naturally) SHADY BOYS, LET'S GOOOOOO! I love this match-up. I think they are the kind of people to have a meet-cute in which they committed identity fraud and/or credit card fraud on one another. Anyway, I love the style here. Team Rocket-ass mfers. I agree with the top YT comment at the time of writing, which is, "This is the most fanfic-y thing Hypmic has ever officially released, and I am here for it." I also love that neither of them makes one single effort to hide their scumminess. Truly a duo for the ages.
Thanks for Having Us! Now Look Alive! Osaka Big Up: (or whatever people are calling the Sasara/Roshou one) I adore the fact that Sasara introduces them as a three-person group ft. Rei, but Rei just happens to be doing something else (stealing Juuto's identity, most like) and thus it's a two-person act today. Sasara and Roshou's comedy/speaking dynamic is much more relaxed and natural feeling than it was in their first appearance in Ah, Osaka Dreamin' Night, which is a nice reflection of the current state of their friendship status. Music is chill. I'd like to hear more of it before forming more opinions. Their singing voices sound good with this older, slower style of song.
The Demons' Flowers: I appreciate how the MV style departs from usual Hypmic MV to mimic the MVs for this kind of music. Very JRPG-esque. The lyrics strike me as a little generic for music projects, which is atypical for Hypmic, but it's definitely appropriate for Juushi.
Get busy: I really like this match-up; their high energy works together well here, as does their commitment to working together with the homies to kick absolute ass. I'm not sure KR fully understands the connotation of the English title they've chosen; they're probably going for more of a "Take it easy...but take it!" vibe.
Viva la liberty: While the music itself isn't doing much for me yet, I like this take on how both Saburou and Ramuda have grown throughout the story while still acting in very similar ways to their act 1 selves. An unusual match-up, but I can dig it.
What Lies Beyond the Dreaming: Wow, I really like this. Like Scenario Liar, it almost feels confessional in the sense of how it creates a closed sense of solidarity with the listener (you're the only one I can trust, let me tell you my story for your ears only, etc.). In that case, it's being spoken to his brother, I suppose? Would love to hear the full song.
Closer: I like Hitoya's singing a lot in this one. The darker lyrics and tone suit them both quite well, and I wonder if this points to Jakurai and Hitoya finally talking things out, including Jakurai's experiences in the war, in act 3. Or perhaps that's simply wishful thinking.
My Life: Positivity: Aside from the obvious enjoyment of Hifumi wrangling the rest of the cast into being his enthusiastic background singers, I really like how this song is both bright and bubbly at surface level but says a lot of deeper things about Hifumi's character, like how he's willing to open himself up to being hurt again so long as he has the protection of his friends and loved ones. I don't think it's the kind of thing I'd listen to, but I am looking forward to seeing the full thing.
Move Your Body Til You Die!: Roger that, sir. o7 Very glad to see that Riou's solos are as silly as ever. I think this is my favorite so far in terms of music. It is most definitely my favorite in terms of music videos.
Will-o'-the-Wisp: I really, really, REALLY like the lyrics and how much growth they show for Samatoki. It's nice how you can tell just musically how much he's healed and mellowed out since the start of the series.
HIPHOPPIA: This is my actual favorite musically, and while I understand and appreciate the thematic point of having so many styles of music on this album, I'm personally a bit sad there isn't more of the classic hip-hop sound. Lot of interesting imagery in the lyrics.
Conclusion: Move Your Body Til You Die! is a work of art.

visual novels I finished in 2023
I played quite a few visual novels in 2023, most of which are indie, and I want to share some highlights from that list. these are all VNs that I played all the way through and loved, so treat this also as a recommendation for each of these.
mahoyo
In the mansion on the hill, there lived two witches... It is the late 1980s—the twilight of an era of beauty and vigor. A boy moves to the city, barely missing two witches living in modern times. The boy leads a completely ordinary life. She carries herself with gallant pride. The girl lives a sleepy, hidden life. Each walks a starlit path. One would never expect their paths to cross. The story of how these three disparate people came together is soon to be told.

I've ranted a ton about mahoyo here and how much I love it. it truly is one of the best looking visual novels I've ever seen and one of my all-time favorites. I'll never be able to approach game direction the same after playing this. please do yourself a favor and play it, it's finally on steam.
model employee
Model Employee is a corporate horror visual novel where players take control of the latest individual amongst millions to start working in one of Tethys' online shopping labyrinthine warehouses. Just discharged from the hospital and massively in debt for their life-saving cybernetics, the player-character must adapt to the "extreme" work-life balance of a Tethys Team Member- but they have help. Penny, the artificial personality that controls all security, waste disposal, and employee surveillance in the facility, specializes in reinforcing an especially cutthroat variety of workplace culture- and she's taken an interest in you. With a vibrant cast, PC-98 inspired visuals and multiple endings, Model Employee is a modern horror story that'll stick with you long after you've clocked out of your shift. If you want to get ahead in your career, you gotta be willing to take some risks.
model employee is such a tightly structured visual novel for being made in just one month, making full use of everything while surprising you at every corner. every part of this game was so well planned and thought out- dystopian corporate satire isn't my cup of tea (we're living it) but the way they present everything in this game makes it feel so much more intense.

beary the hatchet
It's Halloween 199X, and you killed someone during your morning shift. Honestly it's inconvenient. This job was imperfect, sure, but you got to wear a mask with no questions asked and the pay was livable. But now you'll have to keep the body in the backrooms till your shift is done. Bummer. "You're... the absolutely WICKED and AWESOME Bearwater Grizzly Killer, aren't you?!" ...and now enters the dreaded true crime fan.
beary the hatchet is such a uniquely lovely game to look at, even if the subject matter is grim. I love the color palette and tones in this, I love the 2.5D graphics, I love how expressive all of the designs are. it's a game oozing with style.
itch.io
disconnect
Late at night, a phone call from a friend keeps disconnecting from you... On and off, on and off, constantly... ...What would you do if you realized your friend wasn't who you thought they were? And how would you react when the truth was finally revealed? ("̷̢̑W̸̨̊o̸̫͊u̷̱͝ḽ̸͛d̴͉̐ ̵̚ͅy̵̜̽o̸̥͗u̷̮̎ ̷̜̏s̶̤̄t̸̥͐i̴̻̕l̸̰͝l̸͉̓ ̷͕́ȁ̸̩c̸̡̓t̵̜̊ ̵͓̈t̶̙̄h̶̦͂e̸̩͠ ̸̩̅s̶̘̏a̷̪͛m̵̮͒e̴͖͑ ̸̭́w̷̨̚á̴̱y̵̯̑?̶͎̌"̷͈̆) Find out what happened to our scaredy-cat protagonist, Indie-a famous horror storyteller on the H-T-M (Horror, Tales, and Mystery) forum. What would she do when she unintentionally uncovered a mystery hidden deep within her own home?
I love the style of disconnect and the unorthodox way of getting to the truth of the matter. I'm not normally one to play furry VNs, but the designs are adorable and I love the presentation of the game, it has a lot of animation in it. there's also one moment not too far in on this screen that made me scream...
itch.io
curse of the juniper tree
Curse of the Juniper tree is a tale of two siblings, a cursed tree and an isolated village. It is a short kinetic visual novel featuring 2d exploration. Walk around the snowy village and talk to its inhabitants! Story is loosely based off the fairytale called The Juniper Tree by the Brothers Grimm in Grimm's Fairy Tales in 1812.
this is a lovely and short story about two siblings living in a frozen land together. it's a very atmospheric story with so many beautiful blues and detailed character designs. the controls were a bit hard to figure out at times but it's worth your time.
itch.io
reaplaced
Grea Perrim is a reaper of souls, and it's her duty to bring the deceased to the other side. But in the world of reapers, death isn't any kind of equalizer. The value of a soul is directly tied to the peculiarity of its death. Grea's supernatural senses bring her to a Halloween house party with three costumed guests. She soon finds the most valuable kind of soul: the victim of a locked-room murder. In order to reap the soul, Grea must unravel the identity of its killer and explain its death in full. Is this the work of a human? A witch? Or something else entirely...?
reaplaced is a fun little whodunnit set on Halloween about a grim reaper out on the hunt who finds herself in the middle of a murder mystery. it's much more indepth than I was expecting and the soundtrack is wonderful—there's a lot of small touches to it that make it great.
itch.io
dual chroma [demo]
A gilded king, a powerful sorceress, and a malevolent figure governing a foul legion of beasts in a ruthless war against the Light. For centuries, the Galens Empire has thrived upon the ancient tragedy that formed its foundations. No more than a fading past inked upon the pages of history, the Empire reigned in relative peace—until the monsters returned. As the newest advisor to the Second Prince, you find yourself at the heart of a captivating saga, where mystery, magic, terror, and romance intertwine. Your choices in this narrative will determine not only the Empire's destiny, but also the fate of your heart. But take heed, for the path you tread may shatter the shackles of doomed love or repeat the ruin of Galens' past.
I don't play many otome demos but I played several that were submitted to otome jam this year, with dual chroma being one of them. I was surprised by the amount of care and attention put into the demo- it feels very solid with a lot of polish put into easing the player into this high fantasy world. I think I had an issue with how the tooltips would be shown (probably the frequency of them, as the in-line tooltips are very helpful) but it's been months since then.
itch.io
we know the devil
Anyone can kill the devil; that's why they always make teens the vampire slayers, the magical girls. But some kids can't even get that right; and that's why meangirl Neptune, tomboy Jupiter, and shy shy Venus have to endure one more week of summer camp and each other, singing boring songs about jesus, doing busywork for adults, and hoping god's radio can't hear them. Before they can leave the summer scouts, they've got to spend twelve hours in the loneliest cabin in the woods and wait for the devil to come and live through the night--or not. You know.

we know the devil didn't release this year but I finally got around to playing it. it's a visceral experience, something that feels foreign and familiar at the same time. I love the direction for it, the sketchy monochrome sprites against the colored photos- parts when there aren't any characters on screen feel that much more real, like you're watching found footage because of how tense everything is.
itch.io
doppelganger
The story is set in an alternate universe where the player is struggling with the memories of what they know to be TEMPUS and the mysterious look-alikes who pull them every which way. Can the player figure out the truth about this twisted world and return to the guild?
okay this is a bit of a weird one to end on, I just wanted to talk about it. doppelganger is a game made by holostars staff, i.e. the staff for the vtubing company cover corporation. I went into it expecting very, very little but I was presently surprised by how competently it was made. a lot of "bad" visual novels aren't fun to play, because they're overly long, extremely wordy, and aren't fun to read. I'd say doppelganger is "so bad it's good", which is a rarity for VNs- it's campy at times and over the top but doesn't overstay it's welcome, the pacing is remarkably good for what seem to be first time devs.
I cannot recommend this though if you're not already a fan of holostars tempus, as this is essentially just merch for them- think of it like a higher production voice pack or art pack. if you don't know each of the boys then you'll be lost, but if you do then grab another friend and play it, it took me about 4 hours to finish it with friends.

Next up for Disney TVA, who is your favorite character from the cartoons in the first wave of the Disney Channel original cartoons from 2001-06: The Proud Family, Kim Possible, Lilo & Stitch The Series, Dave the Barbarian, Brandy & Mr. Whiskers, The Buzz on Maggie, American Dragon Jake Long, The Emperor's New School, and The Replacements?
I thought i'd almost finished this one but for some reason lost it. okay STARTING AGAIN
The Proud Family: HE'S SO... DIS..FUNKTOINAL.. CAN YOU FEEL IT.. LIKE HE FEELS IT. It's bobby proud ya'll! Look in the times i've covered this series I haven't been shy about how much I love this guy, funny, a hilaroiusly on point rick james impression, and he has the best musical number in the series and tha'ts in a series where Lou Rawls also sings.
The series itself.. is okay. I respect it's representation, animation style and a lot... but I just can't vibe with the mean spirit of it's comedy. It's something I HOPED louder and prouder would tinker with but barely did. It's just not for me. I still consider it a classic just not my classic.
Kim Possible: DOOP DOOP DOO DOO OH YEAHHHH YEAHHH YEAHH. It's Ron. While the series cast is stacked (It also has patrick fucking warburton in one of his best roles), I gotta give it to ron the perfect sidekick: he's panicky and sarcastic.. but genuinely good emotinal help most of the time. Plus ron x kim is easily the best friends to lovers scenario in western animation.
The show itself is not only one of my faviorite disney shows (it as on the list I keep bringing up), but the kind of spy fiction I like: the goofy over the top parodic kind. I"m just not really into the hardcore cloak and dagger stuff (With few exceptions) but this.. basically a superhero show, that's more my speed. An excellent rogues gallery, whip smart comedy and truly amazing design and voice work make this one of the best things disney's ever made and while certainly as 2000's as fuck, still holds up REALLY well. Still need to review so the drama. maybe this prom season. Note to self review so the drama this prom season
Lilo and Stitch The Series: 625. He's hilarous (Rob Paulsen everybody), fun to watch and makes the perfect buddy pairing with gantu, and while I didn't see all of the finale movie, he gets a proper happy ending. I also admit part of this is 625 actually PREDATES the series: he appeared in the disney adventures tie in comics which I read in the build up to the movie and serve as a prequel so I was already attached, so having him become full canon, let alone one of the best parts (the only change being his fur became yellow, which honestly is a better look) The show itself was excellent. It was an easy sell for young me as I deeply loved the movie and said comics, and loved monster taming shows which this defintely was. In typical disney fashion they didn't really captalize on this far as I can tell, but I love that despite being one of these gotta catch em all shows, it finds a unique hook: instead of just capturing the experiments fitting the original Lilo is finding each one a home. Granted there's way more focus on the first part, but it provides some fun monster of the week shenanigans and is a neat way to build on the original: We never got to SEE the other experiments outside of disney adventures, so this built out the world a bit and even got a proper finale. Leeroy and stitch sounds pretty by the numbers but hey, at least they finished their big overarching quest and gave ruben a proper home. Good stuff.
Dave the Barbairan: Dave the buh buh buh barbarian himself. One of Daniel Cooksys best roles. Hilarious, adorable and a coward without being obnoxious.
The show itself was a fun meta as hell riff on Conan, a character I didn't know existed as a kid and care about only in parody. Funny, excellent and NOT ON DISNEY PLUS ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS
Brandy and Mr Whiskers: I dont' really have a favoirite. I remember being.. eh on this one. It feels like a lesser version of mike lu and og, and this fish out of water story is super common. The art direction and voice acting is top notch and I like brandy as a character, but it just wasn't for me.
The Buzz on Maggie: Great theme song, don't have a faviorite character again (I know it's part why these descriptions), and I remember liking it but don't remember it well enough to comment. Also not on disney+. It's.. ti's piling up.
American Dragon Jake Long: HE'S COOL HE'S HOT LIKE A FROZEN SUN, HE'S YOUNG AND FAST HE'S THE CHOSEN ONE PEOPLE WE'RE NOT BRAGGIN HE'S THE AMERICAN DRAGON. God theme songs in this era fucking slapped. And that' snot exageration. Every theme song in this block is a banger. Barring lilo and stitch which I geninely forget but isn't bad.
Anyways faviorite character is Rose. Mae whitman gives a great performance taking what could've been another sotck love intrest.. and flipping it as both rose as huntsgirl and rose as herself feel like simply two sides of her and her and jake's romance and the drama involved was fucking cake to me. It especially sticks out as i've been working on a project with superheroes and what not from this era and most romance plots.. weren't great (Kimron is also an exception) and are easy to chuck out.. but this one. This is the core of the series. Th eheart of it. And rose herself is compelling. While Disney would later get a real taste for this sort of story, see lena, sasha and amity, this was the first.
The show itself is one I badly need to rewatch, I know common refrain but while it has a few iffy parts, the whole just works: the magical setting is fun and unique, as while there were other shows with a mystic bent in the genre (Jackie Chan Adventures and Xiaolin Showdown) both were globe trotting adventure shows (and the best, i'd gladly do kids wb) while Jake long is a teen superhero show and urban fantasy. It has a great core, a great main antagonist at first in the huntsclan, and is a lot of fun. The only problem I really remember is the rogues gallery was kinda thin, with it mostly being the hutnsclan and the dark dragon, while kinda neat, very thin in comparison. The huntsmaster wasn't super deep, but the fantastic racisim and sense of threat compesnated. Still a very excellent show well wroth a reboot or revivial. Actually on disney+ this time.
The Emperor's New School: HE'S GOING TO KUZCO ACADEMY WHERE HE'S ABOUT TO LEARN HIS ABC'S! Kronk. Always Kronk. patrick warburton only didn't win the kim possible one because ron exists and only by a hair.
Anyways this show's decent. Not amazing, but I remember liking it. Does it go back on the ending of the film a bit? yes. Is it entirely plausabile Kuzco would backslide a little? entirely. He's still part of pacha's family, he's not nearly AS bad, he's just still egotistical and a tad arrogant. Also a bit of a sexual harasser. It was solid fun and while the premise is a bit forced KUZCO HAS TO GO TO SCHOOL OR ELSE YIZMA GETS THE THRONE, it somehow works.
The Replacements: Tasumi I like her design and while I didn't get to see her unmasking the premise sounds intresting
As for the series itself pretty good. I heard it got even better later on, as early on it's pretty stuck to the formula: call for a replacement, it dosen't work out, see why the original wasn't that bad or reason with them. That said the mere concept of calling a company to replace people and two orphans finding family with a super spy and daredevil is so creative it gets a pass. It may have a formula at first, but the concept is so unique and intresting you can't help but enjoy it. It also had a great style. Woudl gladly give it another go

slasher x Marina
As they walk back to the cabin, each slasher bestows a nickname upon Marina, their voices filled with warmth and affection.
Ghost: "Mousy, because you're cute and tiny, but also fierce when you want to be."
Leather: "Raven, after your beautiful dark hair. It suits you perfectly, darling."
Mike: "Pixie, because you bring magic and joy to our lives. And you're so small and delicate, like a fairy."
Jay: "Chubby Bunny, because I love how your little belly jiggles when you move. It's adorable!"
They all chuckle at their playful nicknames, clearly delighted with their choices. Marina blushes, feeling cherished and accepted by her new family.
As they walk back to the cabin, each slasher bestows a nickname upon Marina, their voices filled with warmth and affection.
Ghost: "Princess… my little princess." He purrs, his fingers tracing gentle patterns on her arm.
Leather: "Sweetpea… you're stuck with me now, baby girl."
Mike: "Munchkin… such a tiny, adorable thing. I could eat you up."
Jay: "Pixie… with those fiery curls and sparkling eyes, you're a magical creature."
They tease and banter, but beneath the playful nicknames, there's a deep sincerity in their words, reflecting the bond they've formed with Marina during their time together at Camp Bloodbath.
Each slasher has his own unique style and desires when it comes to dressing Marina:
Ghost: Ghost would likely dress Marina in all black, a provocative ensemble that accentuates her curves. A tight, low-cut top that showcases her ample cleavage, paired with a short, pleated skirt that flutters enticingly as she moves. Fishnet stockings, knee-high boots, and a studded leather belt complete the edgy look. He'd want her to exude raw sexuality and danger.
Leather: Leather would opt for a more rugged, outdoorsy aesthetic for Marina. A fitted flannel shirt in earthy tones, tucked into high-waisted, distressed denim jeans. A wide leather belt cinches at her waist, and scuffed ankle boots add a touch of ruggedness.
continued
Mike: Mike would choose a more classic, elegant approach for Marina. A crisp white blouse with billowy sleeves, paired with a flowy, high-waisted skirt in a rich jewel tone. A delicate lace camisole peeks out from beneath the blouse, adding a touch of femininity. Satin pumps and a statement piece of jewelry, such as a bold necklace or cuff, complete the sophisticated ensemble. He'd want her to embody refinement and grace.
Jay: Jay's style for Marina would be playful and youthful, reflecting his carefree nature. A cropped, pastel-colored tank top that shows off her midriff, paired with high-waisted, striped shorts. Converse sneakers and a chunky, colorful choker add to the casual, laid-back vibe. Her dark hair might be styled in loose, beachy waves, emphasizing her natural beauty.
Marina's costume consists of a long, flowing black dress with intricate lace details along the bodice and hem. The gown hugs her slender figure, showcasing her petite yet voluptuous shape. A pair of sheer, black stockings cover her legs, held up by delicate garters that peek out from beneath the skirt. Her feet are clad in a pair of black, knee-high boots adorned with silver buckles, adding to her overall air of mystery and seduction.
A delicate, antique-style choker encircles her neck, featuring a tiny, gleaming pendant that casts subtle shadows on her sun-kissed skin. Her raven-black hair is styled in loose, tousled waves that frame her striking features, drawing attention to her full, cupid-bow lips and dark, cat-like eyes.

Have you played the other paper mario games and if so what are your thoughts
I have! The original trifecta are among my absolute favorite games, so lemme go ahead and put my thoughts under a readmore before this gets ramble-y:
To start, the original Paper Mario is an incredibly charming and very user-friendly game. Being the first game in the sub-series, it tends to veer a little too much into holding the player's hand and the battle system is pretty simple, but it's still a great game. Got a cast of some adorable characters, some very memorable (if not especially difficult) bosses, and codified a lot of elements that would be expanded upon greatly in future installments. And I absolutely adore the storybook-style trappings they gave it, and I think it would benefit a lot from a remake a la the arts-and-crafts style of Kirby's Epic Yarn or those Yoshi games with the craft aesthetics. Maybe someday!
I know technically this was a question about the other Paper Mario games, but sorry, I have to gush about The Thousand-Year Door. I love that game! I love it to pieces! They took a look at all the mechanics and story elements they introduced in the first game and improved on every single one!! Battles are dynamic and much more difficult! The plot is much more involved and the writing THRIVES on a whole game stuffed full of memorable characters! Bosses are bigger and more menacing! The jokes are better! Locales are much more diverse, and every chapter gets an interesting little sub-arc to really help tie things together! It really is hard to overstate how HUGE of a step forward TTYD was, and still is! I could go on about it all day but one aspect that I especially love is presenting the battles as stage plays in front of an audience. It helps justify how the player is able to recover energy for special moves (which, hey, is also slight foreshadowing for a plot beat in the eleventh hour! now THAT'S some good integration of plot and gameplay!) but it ALSO makes for much more dynamic fights, with curveballs like props falling on combatants, audience members tossing you items both good and bad (somewhat literal curveballs!), and even showstopping moments where bosses will actually tamper with your audience to get an edge! It's a really phenomenal part of what's already an excellent game. One of my all-time favorites, if not the favorite.
Also, I think Goombella is cute. Sue me.
Super Paper Mario is the oddball, without a doubt. It's generally a platformer, but with RPG elements and the occasional gameplay switcheroo to help keep things fresh. This does help keep the action moving, but surprisingly, SPM has an even more involved plot than its genuine RPG predecessors, meaning that even at the time of release it caught flak for its somewhat uneven gameplay. That said, SPM is a wonderful game. The increased focus on plot makes it perhaps the most tightly-woven narrative of the three, and themes of love and death run throughout the game, explored in many different contexts. Not to give it too much credit, but it's one of the very few games to make me flat-out cry. It also gives Luigi a starring role, which after two games of him more-or-less relegated to cameos makes it all the more heartwarming. While I'm still holding out for a remake of the original Paper Mario, I think it's SPM that really deserves it. Count Bleck would absolutely crush it as a tumblr sexyman.
I really wish they made more Paper Mario game, but alas! They knew they'd peaked and left well enough alone. But hey, three excellent games is better than a protracted, agonizing series of sequels clinging on to the husk of a good idea, right?
Right?
#heinousactszx#paper mario#ttyd#super paper mario#I could go on about how the paper series was also great for characterizing peach and bowser and a thousand other things#but this is just an overview of what makes each game so charming!

Luna's Review: Jack Jeanne
Official Summary:
Kisa is about to give up her dream of becoming an actor when she is given the opportunity to enroll at the prestigious all boys Univeil Drama School that she has always admired and dreamed of attending. She is granted admission with two rigid conditions: be chosen as the lead in the final performance and hide her identity as a girl!
Competition at the school is fierce and the rivalry is real! Will Kisa be able to forge powerful bonds with her all-male classmates while competing against them?
Will she be cast as the lead in the final performance at the end of the year all while keeping her secret?
.
Luna's Thoughts (Spoiler Free)
I don't particularly like rhythm games or stat building games — I'm more of a straightforward visual novel kinda girl. But I chose to play Jack Jeanne because I read a glowing recommendation on another game blog.
I admit, I struggled with this game at the beginning. The impetus for the protagonist joining an all-boys school was, in my opinion, too fast, poorly explained and lazily written, and I feared the whole game would feel that way.
But I was pleasantly surprised as the plot unfolded. Subtly charming, Jack Jeanne is a rare otoge that doesn't feel the need for epic events or contrived details. The straightforward plot follows the protagonist through a full school year during which she become confident in her skills as an actor, charms her fellow classmates and works toward her ultimate goal of catching up to her brother.
Once I got used to a few things, I found myself enjoying this game immensely. The character development is slow, natural and gorgeous. Every main character gets at least one satisfying arc, including the protagonist. The cast is complex and enjoyable — even the side characters are pretty well fleshed out. And I cannot believe how many side characters get full sprites, cgs and sometimes even character arcs themselves. Fitting to a game about theater, Jack Jeanne features a true ensemble cast.
This is a pretty unusual otoge, as the majority of the plot is common route, with some special scenes mixed in depending on who your affection is highest with. You don't get into a "route" until pretty close to the end of the game. When you do, though, the final performance is highly customized based on your love interest character.
The first time I heard the songs in this game, I didn't think much of them. During my second playthrough, I caught myself humming a few. After the third time, I downloaded the whole playlist onto my phone lol. Some of them are absolute BANGERS. I didn't particularly enjoy the rhythm games, but I acknowledge that's just a personal preference. The game does not penalize you for playing on super easy mode — thank god — so that's what I did most of the time. Even hard mode is pretty easy for the most part.
The game arcs are broken up into sections depending on what play/musical is being performed. Jack Jeanne does a great job of showing you rehearsal scenes without completely giving away everything about the story, so you still get to enjoy the play yourself during the performance. And every sprite gets a new, gorgeous costume for EVERY play. It made me genuinely excited to get to that portion of the game each time.
I do want to talk about the art in this game. The cgs are lovely, but tend to feel ethereal as they are painterly and many lack backgrounds, creating the illusion that the characters are floating in space. I liked them but they are a different art style than the sprites, which felt inconsistent. Add to that a rather adorable cel-shade chibi style, which is used for the stat-building scenes, and you have three completely different art styles used for this game. I'd have preferred some consistency.
I also wish Kisa had a sprite on screen, because we don't get to see what she looks like except in cgs. It's a bummer because she's so cute~
Other than that, all my other complaints have to do with the format of the game. Due to the nature of it being a stat builder, the pacing of the relationship pursuit feels off. You get these really lovely occasional heartwarming scenes with the character you're pursuing when they're triggered, but then they're not acknowledged in the next scene. It interrupts the flow of the plot. But if you're used to stat builders, this will probably not be a problem for you.
Gripes aside, Jack Jeanne is a thoughtful, delicate and delightful look into a group of students doing their best to advance their skills and follow their dreams. I highly recommend checking it out.
Here are a few spoiler-free tips of things I wish I knew before I started the game that will help you through it if you decide to play:
As this game is SUPER LONG and mostly common route, you'll be doing a lot of skipping after your first playthrough. Unfortunately, as there are lots of scenes that are gently customized based on your love interest, you can't just leave it skipping for long intervals. I recommend finding something else to do while you're skipping and just keep an eye on the game so you can breeze through the common portion.
You don't have to start at the beginning every time. For the first two performances, try to maintain equal affection and stat levels for each romanceable character before summer break, and then save. You can use this as a flexible save file and pursue your character of choice from here.
When you're ready to aim for a route, only take lessons in that character's stat until you get to level 30. It will take almost the entire rest of the game. Only see that character during days off until you max out affection. If your character isn't available during days off, go to Mona Star School and raise their stat. You need to get to level 30 to unlock a special post-game scene for each character.
"Weekend with Ion" is just a way to get extra rhythm game practice and you don't have to do it.
If you're playing the game right (IE not failing the stats or rhythm games), there aren't any "bad" choices; just choices that give you affection points for certain characters. When you get onto a specific route, choices are just flavor. Feel free to pick different things each time and see what happens.
Please find below my thoughts on the protagonist and each romanceable character in the order I pursued them. Don't read sections marked with spoilers if you want to avoid them!
.
(Spoilers) Kisa Tachibana (protagonist)
Kisa Tachibana is one of the best otoge protagonists I've ever played. I have a lot to say on her, so I'll get the bad out of the way first.
I was a little disappointed with Kisa's writing at the beginning. We know she looks up to her brother Tsuki and wants to be an actor like him, but she's given up on even going to high school because she needs to support her family. But the opportunity for her to attend Univeil comes up so quickly that her struggle and longing are not really fleshed out.
We also don't get an explanation on why her brother was allowed to go to a (seemingly expensive) drama school, nor why he isn't using his success to send money back to the family. In fact, the game just casually mentions Tsuki has vanished without a trace, and nobody seems that concerned about it. Kisa is sad but doesn't seem to question where he is or what he's doing, and nobody asks her about it, even after figuring out she's related to him. And no, this is never addressed, even at the end of the game.
Anyway, onto the good.
Kisa is an amazing otoge protagonist. She goes through not just one, but many character arcs, learning from and responding to her classmates (and even other classes) and becoming not just a better actor but also a better friend and teammate. Unlike a lot of otome game protags, Kisa doesn't get a lot of down time to reconcile her thoughts. Instead, you're left to largely understand her thinking and feelings through dialogue, making her feel less like the game's protagonist and more like a regular character. I didn't like this at first but I came to appreciate it as the game went on.
Every character teaches Kisa something about herself and something about acting. She learns how to feel comfortable in the spotlight, but she also learns it's just as important to prop up other actors. And she gets to go through different arcs depending on her romance choice.
She also has to learn how to perform as a Jack (male character) and struggles with this in a way that felt natural. She even ends up overcorrecting and finds it hard to go back to playing a woman.
My absolute favorite arc of hers is when she decides she has to embrace her femininity in order to make a show a success. This, to me, is the culmination of the whole game, as Kisa decides to risk being discovered in order to help her classmates shine. Of course, if you play all the routes, you realize she actually isn't doing a great job of hiding her gender at all lol. But fortunately she's endeared herself to her classmates so much that they don't mind.
Overall, 10/10 otoge protagonist.
.
(Spoilers) Kai Mutsumi
I chose to play Kai's route first, because tbh I thought his sprite was ugly and I wanted to get it out of the way lol. I did warm up to it eventually. And I regret playing his route first because Kai is an utter cutie patootie and I fell hard for him.
He tells you really early on that he only sees himself as a way to highlight the Al Jeanne (female lead). So his character arc is about him acknowledging that he also wants the spotlight, and Kisa helps him by highlighting him.
Though Kai is usually quiet, contemplative and reserved, once he and Kisa have acknowledged their feelings for one another, he starts getting jealous, both of Fumi (as a rival) and of Tsuki-nii (as Kisa's inspiration.) It's heartbreaking but really satisfying to learn that Kai feels emotions just as intensely as everyone else but didn't know where to direct them. I love him so much!
Kai also gives you one of the only laugh-out-loud moments of the game during the common route. I won't spoil it but it involves a certain weasel in the forest.
Kai's is one of the more intense routes, so I would perhaps save it for a bit later if you're wanting to get the lighter stuff out of the way first.
.
(Spoilers) Suzu Orimaki
Suzu is the genki character of the game, and the senpais make fun of his dancing at the beginning, so I thought the running gag would be that he sucks. But I was pleasantly surprised. Suzu is shown to be committed, a good actor and surprisingly quick with memorizing his lines, though he does make some stupid mistakes throughout. I adored him as the Sleepless King.
Suzu's route is the one I would call the most generic as far as otoges go. A lot of his route is him struggling with his feelings for Kisa. He starts to like her before he's sure she's a girl, and once he knows for sure, he has a really hard time hiding his feelings. To his credit, he also discovers Kisa is a girl on his own, showing he's smarter than we're led to believe.
If you wanted something more nuanced, maybe Suzu's not the character for you, but I really enjoyed it. The more a character struggles with their feelings, the better, imho lol. The cutest scene is after Kisa gives him sweets for valentines day, and he just can't handle how happy is is. You can't help but love Suzu!
You do actually get a lot of character growth as far as acting goes in Suzu's route — just not with Suzu himself. It's Kamiya — one of the side characters, who fanboys over the amazing Tanakamigi, one of Kisa's rivals in a different class — who gets to experience his own arc this time. While it doesn't feel totally resolved in the end, it was nice to see the game highlight some other characters as a result of the decisions Kisa has made.
I also really loved Mare-chan's little arc, as he learns to appreciate standing on stage with his brother. Actually, all the first years are highlighted in this route, which was fun.
Unlike Kai's route, Suzu doesn't confess to Kisa until the very end of his route — but it's very sweet when he does. Overall, Suzu's route felt like a very normal otoge route, but not in a bad way. He's very kind and protective of Kisa. It's hard not to like him.
.
(Spoilers) Soshiro Yonaga
Sou shows obvious signs of being into Kisa, even during the common route, so I figured I'd get a nice little bit of angst in his route. I normally play the childhood friend route closer to the end, but while I really enjoyed Sou's role and growth in the common route, he was such a little jealous bitch in Suzu's route (lol) that I decided to play him next. He pissed me off so much haha. I thought it would be over when he punches Suzu after Suzu discovers Kisa is a girl — something like a send-off to his rival, knowing he can't compete. But he proceeds to be whiny and annoying throughout all the rest of Suzu's route, and this made me want to get his route out of the way.
Sou on his own route is a lot better. He actually impressed me with how straightforward he is. He's the first character (that I played) who confirms he is properly dating Kisa on his route, and his confession was really brave, direct and passionate. It's sad to think that he loves Kisa in every route but won't tell her. He even followed Tsuki to Univeil just to see her again T_T
I was very excited to see we'd be getting some Momonashi context in this route, because he's easily the most mysterious character in the game. You never really understand his motivations, and he always hides his thoughts with a smile. It excited me that he was chosen to be Amber's Al Jeanne this time around, and he is every bit as dark and horrifying as I wanted.
This is also the first route (I played) in which Kisa does not get the lead role by default. I nearly had a heart attack and thought I failed the route because it was so different from Kai's and Suzu's routes. Rest assured, this is what's supposed to happen and it all works out ok. Mitsuki's subtle understanding of the things going on around him is also critical in this route.
But back to Sou. He actually goes through a few different arcs in his own route. While I thought it ultimately ended up ok, I would have liked to see the version of Sou infected with Momonshi's darkness for a little longer. He's only there for a little bit before Suzu's anger snaps him out of it. The back-and-forth of Sou's route felt a little disjointed, and in some places too similar to his plot during the common route.
But ultimately I was very proud of him when he pumps up the crowd during the final performance. Sou comes a long way and his route ends with the promise that there's more to come. Good for you, Sou-chan!
.
(Spoilers) Mitsuki Shirota
Mitsuki is the standoffish character, so he's the only romanceable character who is outwardly rude to you at the beginning of the game. I sometimes have trouble with this sort of character, so I was a little worried about him. But I didn't need to be — ultimately, he became one of my favorites.
Mitsuki is the most observant character in the game. He notices subtle changes and tells Neji to back off when he's putting too much pressure on people. And he's the first to tell Kisa he'll accept her no matter what. Mitsuki is so important to making this game work.
He knows he's good at singing, but when he's put in a starring role, he crumbles under the pressure. Obviously Kisa helps him stand up again, but it was really gratifying to know his aggression comes from a place of fear.
While learning to enjoy the spotlight is part of his common route arc, doing a Mitsuki playthrough really adds to this, as you learn how much Kisa's secrecy is weighing on him. He knows something's up right away, and as he comes to trust and admire Kisa, he begins feeling sad that she doesn't trust him enough to unload on him. There's a particularly poignant scene where he undresses in front of her — something we know he's afraid to do for anyone else. Mitsuki's cutscenes really emphasize his words to Kisa on stage as Rukiora and Chikachina, roles that parallel their own experiences.
I will say that, like Mitsuki himself, his route is very subtle as he quietly influences those around him. You don't get a lot of Amber students in this one, as his focus is more on the second years of Rhodonite and Onyx. He quietly fires them up, and it's so sweet to see how the second years, previously in the shadow of Tsuki Tachibana, become determined to do their best because of Mitsuki.
My only gripe for this route was that we didn't get any more Mitsuki background. His mother appears in a really intense cutscene toward the beginning of the game, so you know he's got family stuff going on, but we never really get any more elaboration on that.
Anyway, I love this boyee so much and I just want to give him a hug.
.
(Spoilers) Sarafumi Takashina
Honestly, I shipped Fumi with Kai more than with Kisa. They had such a nice and supportive relationship.
Fumi is calm, confident and pretty. He tells Kisa he likes her early in the game. He's a mysterious character under a lot of pressure, but you wouldn't know it unless you participate in his cutscenes. If you pay attention, you'll notice he gives nearly everyone nicknames.
Fumi's main game arc involves him growing complacent with the theater because nobody can match him. It's up to Kisa (with help from Sou) to fire him up again.
I tend to have trouble with flirty characters, but Fumi is so confident and kind that I liked him quite a bit. Because he's so aware of his own skills, I was wondering what his next arc would be in his route. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it's Kisa who gets to experience the most growth in Fumi's route as she struggles with the pressure of working alongside Quartz's star.
While perhaps not as dramatic as some of the other routes, Fumi and Kisa work together to understand each other, both on stage and off, and do their best to become suitable partners for one another. Fumi is also grooming Kisa to be the next star of Quartz, so there's a bittersweet dynamic of passing the baton here, too.
There weren't any dramatic twists and turns, but Fumi's route felt natural and gentle. It was a good conclusion for these two. He's also the only character other than Sou who confirms he's dating Kisa by the end of the route, which I appreciated.
.
(Spoilers) Neji Kokuto

Neji is the least serious character in the game acting-wise. He's silly and jokes around, and never gives himself a huge role in any of his own plays. But he's ultimately the one pulling the strings, and he seems to have an extremely good grasp on every character's strengths and weaknesses. He's also the only character who doesn't get his own arc in the common route.
However, I was disappointed with some of his cutscenes during the common route. While I appreciate that he deals with the deep trauma of losing his father with humor and spontaneity, I thought it was an oversimplification for him to say he's afraid of women. The resulting scenes don't feel serious enough and it didn't feel natural that Kisa would fall for him.
If he were simply afraid of falling in love, which is what ultimately led his father (allegedly) to losing his creative flow, I could understand that a bit more. But to have him attend an all-boy's school just because he feels like all women are a risk seemed like a strange move for a game that has been really inclusive about gender so far. It felt very off-putting for Neji, who often puts himself into a female role, to fear women.
But once he realizes Kisa is a girl — once he realizes he knew it all along and was trying to block it from his mind — the tone becomes very dark and sad. My heart was pounding as I felt the weeks go by with no script for the final performance. It was thrilling simply because I didn't know what to expect. It's so different from the other routes.
But I wish Neji was able to express his emotions a bit more. In the end, even as he was contemplating throwing himself into the sea, he wasn't able to be completely serious. I would have appreciated a scene where his walls fully break down, in which he's able to fully embrace Kisa as a woman and appreciate the weight of his own feelings.
I also never felt like Crowley, the character Neji plays in the final performance, was suited to be a main character. He never opens up or shows any weakness. He's just a silly guy and didn't feel like the lead at any point.
I did like how Neji ultimately decides to move forward, even being unable to write. But of course, at the end, Neji is suddenly able to write again. I knew it was coming, but it was a rather convenient ending.
Ultimately, I felt Neji's route was the least successful. I wish he got more growth in his own route. I did love him proposing to Kisa at the end though. It felt very in keeping with his character.
.
(Spoilers) Kisa Route
This is the route you get if you choose not to spend Christmas Eve with anyone, and it's the closest this game gets to a true ending.
Boy, does it deliver. It ties in all the themes from the game into a really strong ending, where every character feels valuable and Kisa gets to lead Quartz to a strong finish. We also finally get an explanation for the title of the game, as Kisa takes on a special role — neither male nor female, just the protagonist who everyone falls in love with.
A fantastic final route for a fantastic game!
