Spider is a bad driver (Avatar Human AU)

Context: Spider just got his license and Lo'ak and Kiri immediatly insisted on him driving them to McDonalds.

Problem: It's night. It's raining. Every fucking streat light is reflected by the water on the streets and it's a PAIN to see. Spider has problems with concentrating to begin with and there is a hell of chatter going on in the car. They are now at a crossing. Spider is waiting for the light to switch from red to green. Reflections everywhere, it's fucking confusing. Also there is another car on the other side. Is he supposed to go first? Or is he supposed to let the car pass before hitting the gas? He learned this in driving school, why doesn't he remember?

This is what happens:

Spider: "Which way?"

Kiri: "Maps says left."

Lo'ak: "It's green."

Spider: (paincking, hits the gas, taking a hell of a turn before the other car can even move)

(he still doesn't see shit)

Lo'ak: "Whoaa! Bro!"

Kiri: "Eywa, no!"

Spider: "Shit." (he's now driving the car smothly down the road again) "I was supposed to wait wasn't I?"

Lo'ak: ...

Kiri: ...

Spider: "You think they saw my number? You won't tell your cop mom, right?"

Kiri: "You're honestly worried about that right now?!"

Spider: "Well yeah, I just cut traffic. The guy could snitch on me."

Lo'ak: (wide eyed, fingers clutching the passanger door) "Dude..."

Spider: (confused) "What?"

Kiri: "There were people on the street!"

Spider: ...

Spider: ...

Spider: "WHAT?!"

Lo'ak: "Bro, you just went straight over a cross passing."

Spider: (actually panicking now) "I didn't see anything!"

Lo'ak: "No shit."

Kiri: (laughing) "But he's worried about cutting trafic."

Lo'ak: (starts laughing too)

Spider: "Guys! Really! This isn't funny. How many were there?"

Lo'ak: (still laughing) "Like three!"

Spider: "THREE?! I almost ran over three people?!"

Kiri: (dying on the backseat)

Lo'ak: (also dying but he's patting Spider's shoulder soothingly) "Don't worry, you drove so fast they won't even remember the colour of your car."

Spider: "Like that's the problem here!"

Kiri: (falling over on the backseat)

Spider: "That's it I'm never driving again."

Lo'ak and Kiri: "No!"

So, maybe Danny should have been more specific when he said he wanted to get reincarnated, because this? Is not an ideal situation. 

See he’s fine with being a clone, really, but uh, apparently the scientists want to terminate him- which, like dude, he’s not even melting or actively dying! So what if he failed at their tests, his body is three, give him a break! 

Well, at least it’s given him certainty in getting out, because these are Not good people. He wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt and- hold up, another clone? Brother? Two brothers? One aged up, one in the middle of it- since his own aging-up failed past three? 

Oh hell no, they can’t experiment on his brothers, those are his brothers and living people just as much as he is! Time to break out- and he’s taking those papers thank you- and gonna’ grab his… he’s gonna’ call them his triplets because they’re the same age, just aged differently. 

Now hold his hand, they’re runnin’ to the mountai- oh thank fuck, the physically-oldest of them can fly. To the mountains while they have the cover of night and they can figure things out. At least his life isn’t boring yet…

I have finally finished 2.4 and oh my GOD watching Dan Heng be so protective of his friends nearly killed me, MY HEART.

And yes, the cutscene where he pushes the trailblazer out of the way and even cushions their fall with his own body, but I mean even before that! When he was already trying to protect them and March 7th from Feixiao and Lingsha!!

Because if you watch the dango trio throughout the main quest, you'll notice that they often position themselves in the same way, which is a detail that makes me super happy that Hoyo thought to include- when the three of them aren't evenly spaced, March 7th and the trailblazer tend to gravitate towards each other and stand very close together, frequently side-by-side. And by comparison, Dan Heng usually stands slightly away, and often even slightly behind them, where he can pull on their leashes to wrangle them keep an eye on them.

This is probably a habit learned through experience, since March 7th said during Belobog she is the "queen of unannounced disappearances" fjdksajfkldjsak

And of course at least a little bit of it is just done for like, aesthetic purposes. It's a video game. Things have to look nice for the player. The trailblazer and Dan Heng are the same height, March 7th is a bit shorter, and Yanqing is even smaller. It makes sense to have the trailblazer and Dan Heng stand on the ends, with March 7th and Yanqing in the middle, it just looks nicer and more balanced that way. But still! Even when they're accommodating for Yanqing in this quest, they still all arrange themselves the same way, almost every time!

But this changes after Dan Heng and Yanqing become suspicious of the visitors from the Yaoqing.

The dango trio still stand around relaxed and in their usual manner when they go to the artisanship delve and meet Skott,

but Dan Heng takes notice of Lingsha when she arrives, and he and Yanqing mentioned her specifically when discussing their worries.

Yanqing worrying so much about Jing Yuan got me right in the heart, he's such a good boy WEH

And when the four of them go out to the alchemy delve to meet Lingsha for tea, the pattern breaks. Suddenly Dan Heng is standing right up front, and even walks in and enters the scene before March 7th and the trailblazer to get to Lingsha before them. He stays a step in front of them the whole time, too.

And then when Dan Heng and the trailblazer have to go be interrogated by Feixiao! The same deal! Dan Heng walks in ahead of them and stays in front of them! Noticeably so! Enough that even Feixiao takes note and voices it!

Dan Heng is so so fiercely protective of his companions, and I love it, I adore hyper vigilance in the wake of trauma like this, I'm so excited to see what else he does in 2.5, I hope we either get to see him get fucked up or the trailblazer gets fucked up in his place, I wanna see them run through the meat grinder!!!

Do you think Danny’s hair turns white when it falls out? It’s technically dead cells anyway but when it naturally falls off his head, do you think it turns white? Because I think it would be hilarious if his hairbrush just has white hair, no black strands whatsoever, and his significant other thought the worst until they know his secret.

Avatar Human AU- Headcanon

So, I can imagine Kiri being an art kid. And like she has a TikTok account where she posts these aesthetic kind of videos in which she sits in front of a canvas, surrounded by her hundred plants, in a cozy, warm light and just paints with chill music playing over the video.

And she's wearing headphones while painting.

And doesn't recognize her two gremlins, namely Lo'ak and Spider stick their heads into her room bc they want to go out or something.

They try to call her a few times but Kiri doesn't respond, so Lo'ak walks into the room and spots the camera in the corner.

Now imagine this super cozy, aesthetic video with the light music playing over it, Kiri in the middle doing her art, and Lo'ak in the background doing Fortnite dances to piss her off.

You see Lo'ak get snatched out of the picture but not for long. Spider who's been trying to safe Kiri's footage get's dragged along and they just kinda start wrestling in the background.

Kiri is the master of zoning out, but even she realizes her two skxawngs behind her eventually, and when she does she starts yelling at them and throwing pencils.

But still the music is playing over all of it.

Lo'ak and Spider are laughing their asses off trying to avoid her wrath and Kiri can't keep mad for long. But the video ends with her chasing the both of them out of her room, all of them laughing like little children.

one piece post-ts character designs are insane but one that makes me go particularly wild is how intrinsically zoro and sanji's design is linked with luffy (and each other).

pre-ts, sanji covers his left eye and zoro is very much not blind in one eye. so so here's the thing right. zoro is considered luffy's right hand man and naturally sanji is his left. zoro and sanji, wings of pirate king. coincidentally (or not), zoro can only see through his right eye post-ts and sanji only through his left. the right and left wing. it's almost reverant in a way; like their purpose and even their body has been molded to make luffy pirate king. like they are devoting themself to luffy, like the entirety of their being exists to make his dreams come true.

what's even more insane is how their design compliments each other. i will see what you can't. i will be your eye, your compass, your strength, if you need me be. you are everything i am not. i will be everything you cannot be. you won't need to turn your head all the way, because with me by your side, your back will never have to scar. you don't have to raise your fists to fight armies your eyes couldn't scout soon enough, i will bring them down to your feet to crush. you are my mirror, my shadow. we are complete without each other but with each other, we are glorious. untouchable. invincible.
