do you know a film called The Forest?

Hello @naaktsrnurf! I assume you're talking about the 2016 film with Natalie Dormer, set in Aokigahara, Japan (aka the Suicide Forest)? I have actually seen it, and liked it, but I don't remember if there were any deer.

I looked it up really quickly and found that because so few people dare to enter the forest, wildlife is actually thriving in Aokigahara. There are many deer living there in real life.

Let me know if you meant a different The Forest. And always feel free to send deer-in-horror (or horror-forest) recommendations!

Honestly, that American B film horror about the suicide forest in Japan really reeks of the same brainrot people had when the caretaker's dementia album came out and people were honest to god like "I know engaging with a project about dementia is so scary and can be hard to deal with. So write fanfic where your characters experience dementia as an outlet to help you process it!"

Like jesus, learn when something is NOT your tragedy to process. If my family members processed their own grief about my chronic illness and disability by making a movie framing it as some grotesque scary monster, I would fucking kill people about it

Watched 3 movies yesterday with siblings.

One was Jurassic Park (1993) which I liked but I guess because we've been watching Godzilla (1998) since around the time it came out, it will always be my favourite dinosaur movie (I'm aware the Godzilla fandom is not a fan of that movie).

Also watched The Forest (2016). A basic horror movie plot which I liked. Of course I watched 90% of the movie looking away from the TV which thankfully helped me miss all the jump scares and bad/ugly faces. It was kinda weak in terms of some plot elements but I didn't care. I just wanted that horror movie vibe which the movie delivered.

I wanted to watch another one before sleeping but I was too sleepy.
