you would have texted him but knowing these past few days with how he's busy handling work you doubt he'll reply to any texts. with one last sigh, you look away from the phone and decide to eat dinner before heading home.

the journey to home was pretty quiet, no messages from work or your beloved. you felt like you've been set free when there's nothing holding you back from the start. you got home and decide its best to just sleep away all your thoughts. maybe izumi really did forget the day.

just as you were about to passed out, a knock was heard and as you open there stood a handsome grey haired man you know too fondly of. it's izumi, with his hand covering his mouth he mumbled a simple hey.

" what, you're not gonna let me in? " he handles you a bouquet of flowers he tried to hide behind his back with a small blush blooming over his face with how the gift felt so simple yet some people definitely likes flowery gifts.

Dedue and Ashe provided, of course. And they provided well. Your favorite flowers were woven into your outfit. Dimitri's favorite flowers were tucked into the vines that wrapped around the broken pillar of the gazebo in which you two were to be wed. Sunlight was streaming through the holes in the rooftop, but the shadows it casted upon you was beautiful. It reminded Dimitri just what you had been through. You and him had made it through a war together. That in itself is an incredible feat. But to still be just as madly in love as when you first got together was beyond anyone's expectations. Especially since Dimitri went feral, as Felix likes to call that period in his life.

Dimitri may or may not have kissed you longer than intended. You were the one to pull back, giggling breathlessly as your classmates cheered around you. Dimitri wanted a simple wedding with close friends, and you found that more inviting than being in front of the whole kingdom.

Dimitri didn't let go of you that entire day. His hand was always in yours, or his arm was wrapped around you, or he was just hugging you close. He kept continously telling you how much he loved you, and how lucky he was to have you as he nuzzled his face into your neck.

Overall, your wedding was incredibly cliché and cheesy. But it was adorable how giddy Dimitri was. It was also hilarious to see that Felix was the one to catch the bouquet when you threw it.

so in the sense of “please critique the writing”, i cant do that because im pretty sure 98% of all the tropey bullshit is by design. do i wish people like the kokuyo gang got more characterization outside of being ride-or-die villain sidekicks?? of course i do but thats my own damn fault for seeing cool side characters and losing all higher brain function. on the other hand, hibari being the person he is and having absolutely no backstory or motivation beyond “get out of my school” is really fucking funny and keeps me warm at night, so. win some, lose some.

Bad Female Cast is definitely a shonen trope but its a shitty one and i want it to die. within maybe four minutes of kyoko being introduced she tries to body a man and then thats just never spoken about again?? wheres that energy queen?!!! let kyoko say fuck!!!!)

If khr took itself even 4% more seriously it could be really deep and compelling and i think that frustrates a lot of people, but i think i like it better this way?? half the fun for me is reading in between the lines!! the subtext, however unintentional it may be!!

examples: yamamoto is one of my favorites just because theres SO FUCKING MUCH to unpack about him!! canon gives us a lot of information about him just by virtue of the fact that he’s a Main Character, but paradoxically he himself is never really the focus. he just Does Shit and you have to figure out why on your own and i LOVE DOING THAT.

i dont love mukuro because he’s a fleshed out and nuanced villain, i love him because he says shit like “i went to hell six times” and never expounds upon that or “i can definitely trust the information i got from this magic monocle called Demon Spade’s Super Evil Murder Eye or whatever the fuck” and then expresses surprise when daemon spade is an asshole. he goes and willfully fucks up the only job anyones ever given him (impersonate 80 year old leonardo lippi) because he Just Has to shapeshift into a young hot dude and hand deliver byakuran, the boss of the Flower Family, the Family that names all its members after Flowers, a bouquet that means “i am in disguise ;) cant catch me bitch ;)”

Jazz seems a smooth and cool operator, and he is... after a while, but in that first date?  Tensions (for him at least) are h i g h.

What if he messes something up? Says something wrong? Picks the wrong movie?

Oh yeah, speaking of movie, his first date with his darling boyfriend is to the drive-in.  They're hard to find these days, vintage, and he hopes romantic.  He plans to pick a romantic movie all the same.

When he arrives to pick his boyfriend up, he uses his holoform - all dressed up for his sweetheart, and all smiles.  Just for him~ - to walk up to the door and knock.  He tries to tap out some sort of rhythm, but given how nervous he is, it's surprisingly difficult.

Once the date opens the door and says hello, Jazz nervously pushes a bouquet of flowers forward, eyes not quite on the man so he panics slightly when he starts to compliment how he looks and see his face buried in the flowers.

They both laugh it off once the bouquet is straightened up and the petals and leaves are off of his outfit and out of his hair.

The movie is cheesy, like, cheesier than the nachos they saw at the concession booth before the movie started kind of cheesy.  The two laugh throughout the night, curled up in Jazz's front seat, y/n munching on popcorn and sipping on soda between fits of laughter.

Just seeing his face so happy is enough to make Jazz's spark feel full, just so full of adoration.  He had been so scared that this first date would be a disaster, but, seeing the dazzling smile on his boyfriend's face reassures him it wasn't at all.

[and down here's a lil scenario at the end of the date]

"Are you really not gonna let me give you a goodnight kiss?"

"Wha-"

The man looks at Jazz's vehicle mode, and back at the holoform by his side. 

"I mean, I guess I could kiss your hood... Or your windshield? But I thought you'd like-"

Not a moment later and the holoform fizzes out. Jazz transforms, his visor almost at the mans eye level, when he offers him his servo. 

"Is that what those humans did at the end of the movie?"

The man smiles at the blushing bot and steps up, opening his arms. The bot holds him closer to his visor. 

"Until next time, charming~" he murmurs and presses a soft kiss on the black and white bots bottom lip. He looks back into his visor when he's gently placed back on the doorstep, and can't help but laugh. His visor has tiny dots dancing across his vision before they explode into more dots and vanish. 

"Am I making you see fireworks big guy?"

"Sparks." 

"What?"

"You,"Jazz sighs dreamily, "You make me see sparks. Hearts." he smiles at his boyfriend and waves, taking one unsteady step on his pedes before he transforms back into vehicle and wiggles his mirrors twice.

He waits until his boyfriend is inside the house before driving off, reminding himself at every turn that humans have "speed limits" in place. Wouldn't want to be lectured by Ultra Magnus for breaking the traffic laws after such a wonderful night.

and you are CORRECT, all the flowers for maia!!! i have particularly soft images of izzy getting maia flowers kind of awkwardly because this is not something she’s really done before except for meliorn, which was easier because she knows seelie flower language so all she had to do was put together a meaning and BAM! done. but for maia she has to make a Pretty Arrangement without having a sorta... meaning chart to go by or something, so that feels weirder somehow?? and she’s kind of lost and probably gets to maia’s all sheepish in a way that’s very uncharacteristic of her with roses and shit (she went to alec for help because they are that kind of siblings and alec is a traditional man so roses it was. also she will be teased FOREVER because of that, which is only fair considering how much she got on his ass). the bouquet is probably too big and maia laughs when she sees it but izzy has that huge smile and looks at her with those big imploring eyes of her like “do you like it?” tilting her head you know, and maia smiles and is like “yeah, i like it, you nerd” and izzy absolutely beams at her

and for simon... i picture sunflowers. idk i just think simon is a sunflower kinda guy. also you know haha daylighter and shit. but really tho it’s an intense attention-calling sort of flower without meaning to, but it’s also beautiful and vibrant and livens up the place, and it also has a delicate, kind of lonely side? like idk you don’t see sunflower bouquets a lot, usually it’s a single sunflower. and the literal Dark Part you know the black part in the centre that’s swallowed up by the vibrant yellow and that people tend to ignore but that’s also there? not in the sense that simon has a Dark Side, but he hides his sorrows and there’s so much more depth to him. i also like to picture he says something like... “you know, the sunflower turns during the day, trying to always keep close to the sun. but i don’t think it realizes that it has so much beauty of its own” and simon is so very pleased and a little speechless and raphael smiles at him and teases him all like “oh, so now you have nothing to say?”

but he gets his revenge when HE gets RAPHAEL flowers cuz no i didn’t forget!! and i know i wrote that paragraph but i like to think that the first time simon got raphael flowers, that had never been mentioned before and it was a complete surprise. that time was afterwards and he was just teasing him (and maybe fishing to get more flowers because look he’s only human). but the FIRST time they weren’t dating but they were.... getting there and simon was like “HOW can i woo raphael” and everyone else is like “stop saying woo for starters” and simon is like “whatever meliorn how did you woo raphael” and meliorn tells him about the whole flower language thing and how he used that to ask raphael out and simon is like FLOWERS! GREAT! and essentially runs off to get raphael some

so next time him and raphael have a not-date simon shows up with this probably massive and very extra bouquet with many many kinds of flowers and raphael’s eyes widen absurdly and he’s like “simon, what is this?” and simon’s all like “flowers! i didn’t know which flowers you liked, so i just got a bunch, i guess.” and he starts rambling about all the kinds of flowers that he got and their names and why he thought they might like it and is all like “but then i thought, maybe he’d be more into something smaller, so i figured i’d also get-” and raphael interrupts him all like “simon. what is this?” and simon stops for a second like he’s almost panicking and raphael softens all like “i like them all. i just want to understand” and he’s softly touching the petals because this is only the second time in his life that someone got him flowers and for meliorn it had slightly different connotations as it was a cultural thing - not that it’s less special or meaningful, just like, different - and he has this little bashful smile and he’s so pleased and simon kind of goes “i wanted to ask you to go out with me” y’know and it’s SWEET okay aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa i can’t BELIEVE i’m saphael trash

My Opinion on;

Character in general: oh fuck oh shit I ADORE CADILLAC SO SO SO MUCH!!! AAAAAAAAAAA! HE’S SO GOOD, LIKeE..REALLY GOOD. After all that happened to him his motivations feel so REAL and ALIVe (even if,,you know the idea of actually being alive is kinda 🤔) and HE HIMSELF IS JUST A REAL bEAST OF ELDRITCH ENERGIES BEYOND OUR COMPREHENSION IM 😍😍😍. ( i want to sensually deed him grapes while he lounges upon one of those long sofas in an elegant robe or something don’t @ mE)  I COULD go on I REALLY COULD LIKE...The aESTHETIC IS PERFECTION AND,.MMM the idea of a cosmic horror hellbent on destruction, and the ‘weakness’ (though not REALLY a weakness because Cadillacs Sapphic love gives him STRENGTH)  is just the tender loving arms of a woman who loves him IM JUST  AAAAAAAAA EVERYTHING I JUST ADORE IT AAAALLLL How they play them:  ?!?!? Oh ? What’s this ? You decided to bring h i m flowers ? WHAT A COINCIDENCE, this little ball of sunshine also brought some for you ! His little spontaneous bouquet would be a bit worn down with all the moving and jumping and flying around, but it’s the thought that counts. 

I don’t even have to say this : he absolutely loves every gift that he gets from you, no matter how big or small. Sora is just happy that you went out your way to make something for him. His first instinct upon seeing the flowers would be to give you a bone-crushing hug, but then he’d remember that flowers are d e l i c a t e, so instead he’d just give you a good ‘ol smooch.

I need y’all to take a second and imagine Sora being like “oh, what are those flowers you got there?” and then seeing his whole face light up with such genuine happiness when you explain that they’re a gift for him. Did you picture that in your mind ? Good. Okay.

He’d totally keep your flowers in a vase if you wanted, but since now the two of you just have all of t h e s e pretty flowers in your hands, Sora would just try to make a neat flower crown ! Only to fail and just end up decorating your hair with them. Prepare for an extremely goofy and wholesome selfie session.

Roxas : 

B O Y - Roxas would be flattered that you got him some flowers, but he’d immediately panic. Was today a special date ? Was he meant to also bring something for you ? You’d probably just have to tell him to chill and explain that sometimes you just wanna spoil him with cute details like this.

Like he still wouldn’t understand w h y YOU are the one giving him flowers - you’re the one who deserves to be pampered, what the hell. But nonetheless, he still appreciates the gesture. He will now protect these flowers with his life, maybe learn a thing or two about gardening to keep them alive and well for as long as he can. Also brag about it to Axel or Xion.

Roxas is rather curious and he’s known to overthink, so he’d definitely ask if the flowers you gave him have any sort of meaning. If you do get him a specific bouquet that mean something along the lines of “I love you” and etc, he’d just be rendered speechless because w o a h, that’s a lot of effort. 

Okay, but he’d still feel pretty bad that he didn’t get anything for you, so in the end Roxas would just invite you to eat ice cream - right after he puts these lovely flowers in a vase, safe at home.

aaaaaaaaa the proposal is on saturday, so i have less than a week and thats super exciting, but it was exciting when i had just 2 weeks up until that week started. every week, just generally, feels slow at the beginning and by the end it's hard to believe its already time for another one. its especially hard right now when i keep getting excited to have just X more weeks to go and then monday, tuesday, even wednesday night at work im like "eughhghg this week is taking FOREVER." it also winds me up to have stuff i need to do, stuff i know all the details to do, and simply have to wait- things like packing to go home. i cant just pack my toothbrush, i have to brush my teeth this week. i cant assemble the bouquet or buy breakfast ingredients for her because the flowers will wilt and itd be silly to take sour cream with me 140 miles over state lines when she lives 5 minutes from the store. i cant cut my hair now or the fuzzy texture will have softened by saturday. i cant paint my nails, covering up their flaky weakness so they look okay next to her professional manicure, because theres still a week for my polish to chip. instead of doing anything i have to keep walking myself through the itinerary i have for the final 48 hours- various bodily grooming tasks, when ill get on the first train, when ill get on the second, how much time will i have to kill at potbelly, pick up those groceries, assess the pantry and see if i need any other groceries, go to the other store, get the flowers, run home and arrange them myself, change into the outfit, go get her or- more torturously- wait for nails to be done, 43 minutes of walking not including shopping. museum, hope the restaurant isnt too crowded, i vibe out dessert day-of, home, breakfast in the morning, spa day, lunch, thank you gifts. is the museum silly? i have booked tickets already. im gonna be too nervous to eat that day. i have to practice when i get home so i can open the box correctly- i dont want to show her the ring upside down. im gonna cry in my mask and get all snotty so im proposing just before we leave the place, that way i can get out there and take off my mask and blow my nose. i have a full 24 hours of proposal planned for 6 days from now and im still not sure whether its enough, but i have to watch myself to make sure its not too much. i have never cooked bacon before. i hope the ring still fits. monday will be busy and over before i know it. tuesday will be slow but maybe this will encourage me to go to sleep sooner. wednesday will be almost as fast as monday but i will have to work with someone im not excited to see. thursday i will be humming with energy, another slow schedule, but i will be cutting my hair and packing more and more, although it is unlikely i will be able to give up my backpack until after my evening class. friday i will have breakfast, perhaps lunch, do the last of my packing, and my brother will pick me up on his was home. i will do laundry. on saturday i will wake up, i will wash, i will put on one outfit that i do not intent to keep on. i will make sure i have the ring. i will have the ring. i will leave at 10:30. i will have ridden two trains by 12:45. i will be there. further events are outlined above.

This is p decent’ and since Ive re-entered the Snoc fandom, Ive sorta reanalyzed my ships and looked into what real chemistry co9uld be there and frankly I just think that Sonadow has a lot of working potential, it reminds me of how I felt about McHanzo at first; They have a lot of working potential and thats what I love building off of. They have the potential to work really well together because the balance each other’s personalities and senses out (Shads bringing a sense of realism and Sonic bringing a lightheartedness) and neither has to worry about the other getting into trouble/hurt/being used against them because they’re both extremely capable of handling themselves. The difference between them and a ship like Mchanzo though is that they’ve already previously worked together and interacted on multiple occasions.
