Confidence | 18+ MDNI
Tumblr media
Pairing: Reneé Rapp x Reader
Summary: Reneé asks you to come to her first day off shooting Mean Girls to give her the confidence she needs to play Regina George. (based on this scene)
Warnings: 18+ MDNI, smut
Reneé Rapp Masterlist | Words: 1.2k

Reneé usually didn’t have a problem with showing off her body, she was proud of the way she looked, and often showed the world her confident side. She wore revealing outfits all the time, and never really gave a care in the world what others thought about her appearance. However, as the first day of shooting Mean Girls came closer, she started getting more and more nervous about portraying this confident character in front of the cameras.
Of course, Reneé had played Regina before, and knew the character well, but in front of the cameras it was different. On stage she got into character and played the part in front of a lot of people, but they were all sitting at a distance, and observed not only her but also the rest of the set around her. On set the cameras and the crew would be focussed on her playing the character the way they had envisioned her, of course they did the same for the other actors there, but the scene she was most worried about was Regina’s opening scene.
It didn’t take much convincing on your girlfriend’s end to get you to join her on set for the first day of shooting. You loved supporting her in person whenever you were able to. Supporting her didn’t just mean her music and her acting, you supported her in every aspect of life, and she did the same for you, that is why your relationship worked so well.
While it was an early call, Reneé still took some time to show you around the set. You hadn’t been to the Mean Girls set yet, and were looking at everything full of amusement. When you were younger, you had watched the original, and you always loved the movie, so seeing the set of the remake made you feel very nostalgic.
You sat to the side as Reneé was getting ready in the hair and make-up trailer, talking with her costars and the hair and make-up team. It was nice getting to know the girls she’d be working with for the next couple of months.
Before you headed to the set they’d be shooting at this morning, you took Reneé to the side. “I just wanted to say that you are amazing, and you look incredible. You are going to crush this scene, and every scene after. You are the perfect Regina George, and I cannot wait to see the lines we rehearsed together come to life. I love you, baby. Have fun out there, and I will be right behind the crew supporting you.” Reneé pecked your lips, “You’re the best, but shush now or you’re going to make me cry.” You both laugh, and head into the hall the scene would be shot in.
They were shooting the scene where Cady met Regina for the first time to the song ‘Meet the Plastics’. It included a close up shot of Reneé signing the song, while the camera slowly panned out, revealing more of her. It took a few takes to get the close up right, but when the crew was happy with the results, they moved on to the part that Reneé was most nervous about. It was a shot where she would sensually open her leather jacket and show off her boobs.
The first few takes were cut, “Reneé can you give us a try with some more confidence please?” The director asked and she nodded in response. Reneé looked up to you for some reassurance, and found you clenching your thighs together. You hid it well, no one else around you would notice, but Reneé knew. That familiar look in your eyes, and the subtle movements, she knew all too well. That sight alone gave her the confidence she needed to act the scene exactly how the directors had in mind.
Once the scene was done, and Reneé had quickly said bye to her co-workers she walked up to you, “I knew having you here would do the trick. Wanna head back to my trailer?” Reneé wouldn’t be in the next couple of scenes they were shooting, so she had some free time. She knew just the way she wanted to spend that free time.
After entering the trailer door behind you, Reneé pressed you up against it. Your breath hitched at the sudden movement, but a smirk started playing on your lips once you saw the look in your girlfriend’s eyes. “I told you you looked incredible.” You tease, letting your hand drag over her chest. When your hands found the zipper, you undid it the rest of the way, and took off the jacket. Your hands moved up her arms slowly until they reached the nap of her neck. “You are so beautiful, baby.” You tell her before she crashes her lips onto yours.
The kiss was instantly heated, you were very turned on from watching the scene Reneé acted in, so every small touch of your girlfriend letting her hands explore your body sent electricity throughout your body. Her lips made their way down your neck, kissing, sucking, and licking the spots you knew were going to have small bruises later. Your soft moans filled the trailer.
Reneé pulled you towards the bed in the back of the trailer. Only breaking the kiss, once you made it to the bed, so she could take off your shirt, and your bra. “So pretty.” She said before taking one of your nipples into her mouth, and swirling her tongue around the hardened bud. With one of your hands behind her back to pull her closer, and the other massaging her breasts, you fell back onto the bed.
It didn’t take long for both of your clothes to be thrown onto the ground, and your moans filled the trailer once more, as Reneé drags her finger through your folds. “Fuck, you’re so wet baby.” Between moans you manage to say, “I told you, you looked incredible.” Reneé chuckled, “Once again proving that you are a boob girl.” Her comment made you laugh, but it got caught short as she entered one of her fingers into you, and started fucking you at a fast pace right away.
Your moans start to get so loud that you’re afraid that someone will hear you, so you pull Reneé closer and crash your lips together to muffle the noises. You felt yourself nearing your high fast, as she entered a second finger, and used her thumb to run circles around your clit. “Baby, I-” Reneé’s darkened eyes meet yours, “Fuck, I’m close.” Reneé fastens her pace even more, loving the way she can feel you tighten around her fingers. “Come for me, baby.” Her sultry voice brings you over the edge. You moan her name loudly, no longer being able to control yourself as she fucks you through your orgasm.
You let your head fall back onto the bed, while you come down from your high with a heaving chest. Reneé cleans off her fingers on the sheets, before she places soft kisses all over your face. “You did so great, baby. I should take you to set with me more often.” She says smiling down at you, admiring the way your sensitive body reacts to her soft touches.

you're too good for him - chapter one.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing: theodore nott x reader
summary: you're theo's best friend and he's secretly pining over you... but you have a boyfriend. modern au. based on what can i do by reneé rapp.
✧ read: part two ✧
Tumblr media
Theodore doesn't get it.
Your relationship with your boyfriend has always perplexed him. Your boyfriend was best described as moderate—moderate in humor, intelligence, and looks. You could do so much better.
Especially now, as you bite back the tears and bury your face in the crook of Theo's neck when you can't hold it back any more, he wonders why you still put up with the guy.
Theo pulls you closer, and he feels a quiet breath of relief against his neck as you sink into him.
It's becoming a regular occurrence now—not that Theo minded. He'd prefer having you to himself under better circumstances, but this seemed like the only way you two could hang out as of late. And as much pain you were in, Theo selfishly relished in these moments when you'd forget about lover boy and remember him. Remember that it used to be you and him. Even if your remembering only lasted a night.
You and Theo were an unlikely pair, shoved together by the fates—first grade school bus seating. The spot next to Theo was the only seat left on the bus, and after he reluctantly slid his backpack over to make room for you, the two of you became inseparable.
While Theo was reserved, you were the burst of energy that compelled everyone in the room. While Theo had a temper, you had the patience of a gentle stream. You balanced each other out. Maybe even made each other better. For the next thirteen years, it had only ever been you and Theo—until lover boy came along. And then Theo made himself sparse, pushing you away until you were arms length instead of right by his side because it had killed him to see you so happy with someone that wasn't him.
And it was unlike Theo to get in the way of your happiness. If you claimed you were happy with lover boy, then Theo just had to deal with it. You made that clear to Theo the first time he tried to intervene.
"Why are you acting like this?" You had asked when Theo first pointed out lover boy's flaws. By this point, the rose-coloured lenses were etched onto you like stone.
"Like what?" Theo spat. This was the first time his anger had been directed at you. You didn't let it faze you.
"Like... you're jealous, or something." You said, voice thick with animosity.
Theo's eyes darkened. He was jealous. Jealous that you refused to notice how Theo looked at you. Jealous that it took one stupid note from lover boy for you to forget all about him.
But he was also concerned. He was trying to look out for you.
"I just don't understand why you can't be happy for me." You continued, unaware of the hurt expression on Theo's face. "You're supposed to be my friend."
"I am your friend," Theo said softly.
Ever since that night, Theo sat pathetically and idly on the sidelines, watching you fall more in love with someone who didn't deserve you. Theo picked up the pieces lover boy shattered every time. Because he was your friend.
But if Theo was anything else, he was also relentless. While Theo stopped trying to tell you what to do, he didn't hide his disdain for your boyfriend. Especially on nights like these.
"You want me to hurt him? I'll gladly hurt him." Theo says, and this prompts you to shake your head. Theo asks this every time you come crawling over with tears staining your cheeks. And every time, you refuse. You know Theo well enough to know he'd do it in a heartbeat. He was just that type of friend to you.
"He's not worth it." You say, pulling back a little so you could face him. You sniffled.
Even in the dim lighting of Theo's bedroom, he can see the red in your eyes, the flush in your cheeks, and the inexplicable expression of heartbreak on your face.
God, he really wanted to hurt the guy.
"I don't know, I think I'd have fun." Theo says, his hand mindlessly rubbing against the small of your back. His lips curl into a small smile at the mere thought of his fists in lover boy's face.
After everything he'd done to you, it was only a matter of time before Theo intervened again.
"No," You say again. You give him a weak smile. "I'd rather you stay here with me."
And so that's what Theo does. He stays, pulls you into the familiar comfort of his bed, and turns on your favourite movie. Theo doesn't care for it, having been forced to watch the movie a million times before. But he makes an effort, letting out his own share of chuckles and commentary you've discussed a hundred times over.
When the credits roll, you're nuzzled against him comfortably. Your hand rests lazily against his chest as you shift closer to him. He rests his cheek against the top of your head.
"You're a really great friend, Theo." You say with a yawn. "I don't know where I'd be without you."
Friend.
His breath hitches and he curses himself for the visceral reaction. Of course that's what he was—what he'll always be to you. Why couldn't he just get it through his head?
Theo swallows hard. He's thankful the screen goes black now, shielding the grimace on his face.
"Lost, probably."

I Mean It Different Than You Do
Tumblr media
Pairing: Leighton x Reader
Warnings: surgery recovery, pure fluff
Word Count: 2500
Anonymous Asked: Hi! Could i please request a Leighton x fem reader that’s kind of based on the episode of slocg where Kimberly has her surgery and the Kansas guy takes care of her and she thinks hey only thinks of her like tiny Tim lol but instead it’s with Leighton x reader and leighton takes care of a sick reader and finds out that they have feelings for each other and it’s full of fluff! Sorry if this is confusing lol
Took inspiration from Reneé's song "I Do" as well.
Leighton and reader are best friends. Leighton helps reader through their wisdom tooth surgery.
You had found a friend in a very unlikely person.
The first time you noticed her, she was trying to get drunk off of tiny disposable cups of wine while volunteering at the Women’s Center open mic night.
The second time you noticed her, she was sitting down in the seat in front of you in your spring semester astronomy class.
After working on a class project together, you discovered that she was actually a very sweet person underneath her designer clothes, perfectly straightened blonde hair, and chilly attitude. You became fast friends over that second semester at Essex and ended up spending a lot of time together outside of class.
You watched as Leighton Murray grew more and more comfortable with her sexuality over time. As her friend, you supported her exploration of being out and were there for her throughout the ups and downs of her relationships with Alicia and Tatum.
You invited her over to your off-campus apartment when she needed some time to decompress from Essex life. You watched movies together almost every weekend. You forced her to experience some natural New England beauty with brief hiking trips and lake days.
She brought you to parties, took you along shopping and out for lunch and dinner, and earnestly tried to get you more involved in the dating scene. Leighton even set up a dating app profile for you once and you just giggled and said, “I don’t want to meet someone through an app!”
She rolled her eyes at you, “I give up! Don’t you want to start seeing people?”
“I dunno,” you shrugged, “I feel like I have everything I want right now.”
“How are we so different?” the blonde mused, turning her attention to her own phone, which was constantly blowing up with messages. “Well, whatever. I’m not going to force you to date just for the sake of it, but I feel like you’re missing out.”
You didn’t say anything in response. You were reading in your bed and Leighton was laying next to you comfortably. You were holding a highlighter in between your teeth and occasionally shifting so that you could annotate in your book. You had noticed that Leighton had been glancing over at you a few times but you didn’t say anything about it.
She flipped her phone to face you at some point, showing you an instagram post announcing an upcoming Theta party, “wanna go?”
You looked at the date of the party and frowned, shaking your head, “can’t. I’m sorry, Leight. I’m getting my wisdom teeth out that day.”
“Aw shit, really? That sucks…”
“Yeah, I’m sorry. I’m going to need the weekend to recover. Actually, I was going to ask you if I could get your help with a ride to and from the dentist but you should go to the party so don’t worry about it.”
“No, I'd love to help! You think I’d rather be hanging out in the rancid Theta house than eating popsicles and binging Housewives with my best friend?”
You laughed, “Well I don’t know, would you rather hang out with me after getting wisdom tooth surgery than go to a party and potentially meet a hottie to spend the night with?”
Leighton smirked at you and shifted a little bit closer to you in the bed, leaning her head on your shoulder, “nah… lately, you’re the only hottie I’ve been wanting to spend my time with.”
“Yeah, right,” you snorted.
“I’m being serious, dumbass.”
You both looked at each other for a moment. You were thrown off by her words, surely she didn’t mean…
“What are you reading, anyway?” Leighton asked, quickly changing the subject.
“Oh, nothing too exciting…” you go on to tell her about the assigned reading you were doing for your poetry class and she listened to you, letting the awkwardness of the earlier conversation fade away.
Leighton hung out at your apartment, enjoying the ability to do her homework in the easy quiet with you rather than amidst all the chaos of the dorms and her suite. You ordered take out and watched a show on your laptop and then she reluctantly got ready to leave to go home for the night. She was packing up her tote bag and then you just blurted it out, “stay.”
She looked up at you, “huh?”
“You could just stay. You don’t have to go back to campus, if you don’t want to, I mean. Like, I’m not kicking you out.”
“Are you saying that I don’t have to go, or are you asking me to stay?”
“Are those two different things?”
She nodded, “yes.”
You took a deep breath, “then… I’m asking you to stay, I guess. I don’t want you to go. Sleep over.”
Leighton smiled and let go of her bag before joining you on the bed again, “okay, let’s watch another episode then.”
You ended up watching another two episodes of tv, eating microwave popcorn in bed and laughing over stupid things.
Life was easier with Leighton.
Your neck was hurting you. You blinked a few times then realized that you and Leighton had fallen asleep cuddled up with each other and left the laptop playing the show. You were now staring at the screen that read “Are you still watching?”
You shifted your body slightly, trying not to wake Leighton up. She moved and you thought you had woken her but she just sniffled slightly and hugged you a little tighter. You carefully got rid of your laptop and adjusted yourself in the bed so that you could lie down fully and Leighton came with you, sleeping on her side with her head tucked into the crook of your neck.
You smiled and pulled the blankets over you both, then turned off your bedside lamp and fell back to sleep with Leighton in your arms.
Leighton had woken up that following morning with a cute smile and said, “that was the best sleep.” The blonde pressed a quick peck of a kiss to your cheek before she got out of the bed and went to the bathroom. She didn’t bother closing the bathroom door all the way. You glanced over at her while she looked in the mirror and fixed her hair.
You didn’t talk about any of it and you didn’t know what to think. Leighton was your best friend. She didn’t have feelings for you. She would’ve said something by now. This was just what it was like to have a close friend, you assumed.
The rest of your week was fairly standard. Classes and homework sucked up your time, but you and Leighton had developed a routine that you always stuck to. You met at Sips for coffee on Monday afternoons. You ate dining hall lunch together on Tuesdays and Fridays. You walked to astro and sat together every Wednesday, and hung out at your apartment Wednesday nights before going to the observatory for your nighttime astronomy assignments.
And in all that time, you never once discussed the cuddling, or the little kiss, so you convinced yourself that you were overthinking it and tried to let it go.
When Friday came around, Leighton had shown up outside of your apartment building that morning with one of the fancier Ubers generously paid for by her father ready to take you to and from your surgery.
You came outside wearing comfy clothes and she smiled and opened the car door for you.
She then got into the car on the other side and sat next to you, “I already went shopping and got everything I thought you might need this weekend to recover and I have a ton of low-energy-investment plans to make sure you don’t get bored. I’m going to stay with you for as long as you want me to, unless I drive you crazy, of course, but-”
“Leight, you didn’t have to do all of that…”
“It’s nothing! I want to take care of you.”
“You do? Why?”
She shrugged her shoulders, “cause I want to, why else?”
“I… I don’t deserve you, Leighton.”
“Oh, shut up. That’s not true,” she paused for a moment then said, “you’re my best friend and I love you.”
“I love you too…”
Leighton waited with you until you were taken back to be prepped and put to sleep for your wisdom teeth extraction. The last thing she said to you was, “I’ll have my camera ready for when you come out of the anesthesia!”
You stuck your tongue out at her angrily as you were whisked away and went unconscious while imagining seeing her face when you woke up again.
You woke up in a different room, lying down flat on a recovery bed. You felt weird but not particularly bad.
Your vision came into focus slowly and the blonde was sitting in a chair beside the bed scrolling through her phone. You made a noise and she turned and looked at you, “hey there,” she said softly, sliding herself and the chair a little closer to you, “how are you feeling?”
Your mouth was all swollen and your head was all wrapped up with ice packs on either cheek. You mumbled, “fine.”
She smiled, “the dentist said everything went well so you should expect a pretty easy recovery.”
You nodded slowly then looked at her quizzically and mumbled, “do I look pretty?”
Leighton laughed, “do you look pretty? Well, I’ll admit that you’ve had better days but you’re still your gorgeous self, why?”
“I dunno… I thought maybe I wouldn’t be pretty anymore… all swollen…”
“You have nothing to worry about, trust me.”
“You’re so nice, Leighton… some people think you’re mean but you’re not mean you’re so nice… and you’re gay and I love that about you…”
Leighton shook her head and laughed and just held your hand gently while you rested and came back to your senses over the next half hour or so.
Leighton helped you to the car and let you lean against her on the drive back, then she helped you get comfy in your bed and made a little station nearby with drinks and foods that were safe for you to have, and pain meds if you needed them.
She got into bed next to you and fired up Netflix before saying, “you can cuddle against me, whatever is comfy for you.”
You nodded and said, “thank you, baby…”
She raised an eyebrow at your word choice but didn’t say anything. You watched Netflix for a little while but you eventually dozed off against Leighton’s shoulder. You vaguely felt her playing with your hair and scratching your scalp lightly while you rested. You let out a pleased hum and cuddled against her even more closely.
She gently woke you up later and quietly said, “I can hear your stomach growling, wanna eat something?”
You took a second to process what she was saying but then you nodded and she grabbed a cup of applesauce for you.
You took it happily and started to eat carefully, wincing slightly at the experience but feeling happy to have some food.
“You’re the best friend ever,” you began, “taking care of me like this… seeing me in such a pathetic state.”
“I wouldn’t call you pathetic, not at all. You’re cute.”
You groaned slightly.
“What’s wrong? Are you hurting?”
You shook your head, “no, no… it’s nothing, nevermind.”
She lightly poked you in the side and made you giggle, “come on, now. You can tell me anything. Is something wrong?”
You were quiet for a minute, thinking. Overthinking. Playing your entire friendship with Leighton back in your head.
“I see those gears turning, what are you thinking about?”
“I shouldn’t have asked you to take care of me,” you finally stated.
Leighton looked concerned, “What? Why not? Am I bugging you?”
“No!” You exclaimed, “no… you’re perfect… that’s the problem.”
“I don’t understand…”
“You’re so perfect. So perfect. And incredible. And beautiful. And I think I’m an idiot.”
“An idiot? You’re not an idiot… I’m lost, babe, what is this about?”
“I’m so stupid,” you sighed, “you’re never not going to see me as more than a friend are you?”
Leighton stared at you.
“I don’t want to be cute,” you tried to explain, “I don’t want to be just cute to you… I want more… but I’ve gone and fucked it up…”
Leighton started to understand and nodded slowly, “okay, first of all, I just want to state for the record that you have some pretty serious painkillers in your system right now, but with that being said, you haven’t fucked anything up… why would you think that?”
You started to tear up, you couldn’t help it, “you’re never going to like me now… not after seeing me like this. I took too long trying to figure out my feelings…”
Leighton’s brows furrowed, “I like you plenty, this doesn’t change that… wait, what feelings?”
“My feelings… for you… you’re my best friend, Leight… and I thought that was just how it was always going to be… but I think it’s more than that for me and I just didn’t realize and it’s too late…”
Leighton took a deep breath in through her nose and spoke softly, “it’s not too late…”
You looked up at her face and saw tears welling up in her eyes.
“It’s not too late,” she repeated, “not for you and me… I’ll wait for you forever. I’ve been waiting for you to be ready…”
“Leighton… what?”
“I love you, you incredible, oblivious sweetheart.”
You were genuinely shocked, and your reaction was only amplified by how loopy you were feeling, “what?! You love me?! Like, love, love me?”
Leighton laughed, “yes. I thought I was being obvious!”
“You love me?!” You exclaimed again.
Leighton wrapped her arms around you in a hug, “I love you. Are you trying to say that you have feelings for me, too?”
“Yes! That’s what I’m trying to say… I love you, too, Leighton. I really love you. More than a friend. I want to kiss you and I want to be your girlfriend. I don’t want you to go on dates with anyone else. I want to cuddle with you every night. I want you.”
Leighton’s smile was the biggest you’d ever seen it, “that’s what I want, too.”
You looked at her and then your face fell into a frown.
“What’s wrong?”
“I can’t kiss you!”
Leighton laughed lightly, “that’s okay. We’ll kiss when you’re all better, but for now…” she leaned in and gave you a kiss on your forehead, “there.”
You smiled and nuzzled against her, cuddling closely once again, and whispered, “I love you, Leighton.”
“I love you, too.”

Tumblr media
–––
The night enveloped you both in a cocoon of tranquility as you and Leighton nestled on the plush cushions of the living room couch. Soft lamplight cast gentle shadows across the room, dancing with the flickering glow of the TV screen, which bathed you in a warm, comforting aura as it played the chosen movie for the evening. It was one of those rare moments when the outside world seemed to fade away, leaving only the intimate embrace of your shared space.
After weeks of tension and uncertainty, Leighton had summoned the courage to reveal her true feelings for you, stepping out of the shadows and baring her heart completely. The confession had sparked an intense confrontation, a whirlwind of emotions culminating in tears, harsh words, and shattered expectations. But now, as you sat side by side, there was a palpable sense of reconciliation in the air, a silent agreement to mend what had been broken.
Leighton's arm found its way around your shoulders, pulling you close as you settled into the movie. Despite the softness of her touch, there lingered a tension in the air, a fragile bridge between past hurts and newfound hope.
As the movie unfolded on the screen, Leighton's fingers traced absentminded patterns along your arm, the gentle caress a silent apology for the pain of the past. You turned to meet her gaze, the soft flicker of the TV casting a halo of warmth around her features.
"I'm sorry for everything." Leighton whispered, her voice a fragile echo of regret. "I was scared, and I acted foolishly. But I want to make things right, Y/N. I want us to work."
You smiled, a flicker of understanding dancing in your eyes as you reached for Leighton's hand. "I want that too, Leighton. I love you."
The words hung in the air, a delicate thread weaving between you, binding your hearts together once more. Leighton leaned in, her lips finding yours in a tender, apologetic kiss. It was a moment of vulnerability and forgiveness, a silent promise to leave the past behind and embrace the future together.
When you finally pulled away, Leighton's eyes were filled with a soft, hopeful light. "I have something for you." She said, her voice tinged with excitement.
You arched an eyebrow, curiosity piqued. "What is it?"
Leighton rose from the couch, a mischievous smile playing on her lips as she disappeared into the darkness of the room. Moments later, she returned, a DVD clutched in her hands.
"Do you remember the movie we watched on our first night together?" Leighton asked, her eyes sparkling with nostalgia.
You nodded, a fond smile tugging at the corners of your lips. It was a memory etched in your mind, a moment of connection and intimacy that had shaped your relationship.
"I thought we could watch it again." Leighton said softly, her gaze unwavering. "As a way to start anew."
You nodded, a rush of warmth flooding your chest at the thought of reliving that cherished memory. "I'd love that."
And so, you settled back onto the couch, the glow of the TV illuminating your faces as you lost yourselves in the timeless embrace of the movie. As you watched the scenes of love and redemption unfold on the screen, you knew that you were writing your own story, a story of forgiveness, hope, and a love that would withstand the test of time.
By the end of the movie, your hearts were light, your spirits lifted by the promise of a new beginning. You turned to each other, your smiles mirrored in each other's eyes, and you knew that whatever challenges lay ahead, you would face them together, hand in hand, hearts entwined.
And as the night stretched on, you savored each moment, each kiss, each whispered promise, grateful for the chance to start anew and to rediscover the depth of your love for each other. The world outside may have been uncertain, but in the warmth of each other's arms, you knew that together, you could weather any storm.

"Oh, God." Were your first words out of your mouth this morning the moment you realized what day it was. Interview day. You'd obviously done job interviews before... but this? This was NOT a job interview. This was a recorded interview for Buzzfeed. To say you were nervous was an understatement.
Reneé laid in bed next to you, murmuring something when her arm came and wrapped around your body. Pulling you impossibly close as her eyes fluttered open, her gaze half lidded as she watched you with concern in her eyes. "Mm, baby? What's wrong?"
The panic in your eyes didn't leave as you looked at her, her touch definitely helped you relax. Even just a little," we have that interview today."
"Huh?" She looked at you with confusion before it clicked in her head what you meant. Reneé had almost internally forgotten about it," oh shit." Her panic was different than yours. The stress of getting ready for the interview as opposed to the actual interview itself.
She looked at the clock and sighed," we've got time before we have to start getting ready. C'mere." Reneé mumbled, pulling you into your arms. She hadn't noticed right away how stressed you were, until she felt how quickly your chest was moving. She adjusted herself so she hovered just above you. Arms rested on either side.
With brows narrowed in concern, she studied you. Noting how you couldn't meet her eyes, how you seemed to tremble just a little. Reneé took your chin in her hand, thumb gently rubbing across your jawline in a soothing motion.
"Look at me, baby. What did I tell you yesterday?" Reneé asked, her tone soft and soothing.
Yesterday. That felt like so long ago right now. You forced your mind to try to remember the exact moment she was referring to through your growing anxiety. It wasn't easy, but you think you found it. Although you weren't about to say the moment she wanted you to, you went with another one as you smirked at her," 'Nice ass'?" You quoted.
Heat flushed through Reneé's cheeks and she rolled her eyes at your response," ha ha. Cute, but no. And I know you know what I'm talking about."
"Don't worry about the interview, just follow me'." You quoted her again and she smiled at you, giving your forehead a kiss.
"Exactly. You're gonna do fine."
The day seemed to go by quickly, almost too quickly for your liking. Soon enough you were on the interview couch with Reneé next to you and the interviewer across from you in his own chair.
He offered the two of you a smile," Reneé Rapp and Y/N L/N, ladies and gentlemen!" He introduced the two of you to the camera before looking your way again," Reneé! Lovely to have you again."
"Happy to be here," Reneé smiled, giving your hand a subtle reassuring squeeze. The two of you sat close, the only thing keeping you at a slight distance was your hands intertwined together in the middle. You had asked Reneé prior if she could hold your hand throughout the interview. She, obviously, agreed.
The interviewer didn't seem to have an issue with it, if anything they were encouraging the two of you to be coupley. Wanting to boost their views off it.
"Tell us who you've brought with you today," The interviewer continued.
"I think she can introduce herself," Reneé looked at you, her eyes soft and encouraging," can't you, baby?"
You tried your damn hardest not to stutter over your words, though you fumbled a little anyways," I'm her girlfriend, Y/N L/N."
Reneé gave your hand another squeeze, her eyes showing nothing but love and pride for you. With how nervous you'd been all day, she was worried about how this would go for you. But you seem to he handling yourself just fine.
"I understand Reneé recently announced that she was dating someone, it's lovely to formally meet you. Now, how long has this relationship been going on for?" The interviewer asked.
You instinctively looked at Reneé, feeling your nerves kick up again. Reneé seemed relatively calm. As though she wasn't nervous at all.
"A little over five months now," She answered confidently. You nodded and rested your head on her shoulder to be closer, she gave your forehead a kiss and the interviewer smiled.
"Five months? That's quite a lot of time. I assume the L word has been said already?"
Your cheeks flushed and your eyes went to Reneé's again, she met your gaze with a loving smile," yes." She answered.
"Who said it first?" He asked.
"I did," You murmured, remembering the moment vividly.
Reneé had taken you out on a nice dinner date for your birthday, which happened just over a month into the relationship. You hadn't even realized you had said the words until Reneé was kissing you and saying them back.
Reneé nodded," she beat me to it. I was already planning on saying it that night since it was Y/N's birthday."
The interviewer laughed a little," that's cute. Going off of the lines of firsts, who kissed who?"
"That was all her," You pointed to Reneé with a grin and she rolled her eyes, giving your finger a playful swat.
"It was definitely me." Reneé confirmed.
"How'd that happen?" He asked.
"Well, I was just getting off stage from a show I had invited Y/N too. She ran up to me with like the biggest smile on her face, absolutely gushing about everything and I couldn't help it. She was just too cute," Reneé lifted your intertwined hands to her lips, giving your knuckles a kiss.
You couldn't help but giggle at that. Feeling much more relaxed than you had at the start of the day.
That was just like Reneé, though. She always knew how to calm your nerves no matter what it was you were doing. It's part of why you loved her so much. She just... understood you.

things that definitely happened in the percy jackson series’ that rick left out/didn’t expand on (basically a collection of headcanons)
- leo teased percy and annabeth about the stables scene for weeks until it got old
- leo trying to make a move on EVERYONE he interacted with, especially the aphrodite cabin
- (leo was a hey mamas lesbian in a past life i will die on this hill)
- bi4bi percabeth
- some of the apollo kids give out free stick-n-poke tattoos. will has a small treble clef on his hip for his mom, nico has a tiny skull behind his left ear, percy has a smiley face on his right middle finger bc he thought it was funny
- annabeth tried to act like she didn’t think it was funny and called him an idiot
- ella also gives out free tattoo services at camp jupiter, and camp half blood when she and tyson visit. frank told her to start charging for them, but being a harpy, she doesn’t really have a need for money. honestly, she just wants an excuse to do more tattoos, since there’s not a lot of space left on tyson
- percy always orders blue food or drinks when he’s out if it’s an option (basically canon in the senior year adventures). at this point it’s instinctual
- percy refuses to drink or smoke bc of gabe. sally understands this and that’s why, before she had estelle, she would only have a single glass of wine with dinner. annabeth likes to have a few drinks here and there, but when she does drink, she makes sure to never do it in front of percy
- dionysus is essentially the camp therapist, because deep down, he really does care about the campers. he has open office hours and a sign-up sheet for appointments (private or group therapy) in the big house
- percy has started calling dionysus the wrong name back, and it’s dissolved into a competition to see who can think of the most ridiculous names (so far perceval jackoff and destiny’s child are tied for first place). some of the other campers are waiting for the day dionysus turns percy into a bottlenose dolphin or a pile of dust and ashes, but he would never do it
- there’s also a sign-up sheet to use that single computer that chiron has, where everyone gets up to an hour of screen time
- after discovering the projector in chiron’s office, it’s common to find cabins or individual groups of campers having movie nights. nico and hazel’s boyfriends and friends use this as an opportunity to show them (when hazel visits) different movies. for example, one night percy brings all 3 back to the future movies (he doesn’t realize the irony until nico won’t stop teasing him about it), annabeth brings the last unicorn, which makes hazel cry (me too girl), piper brings jennifer’s body (hazel and frank both get all flustered during the sex scenes, nico is surprisingly unbothered until will nudges him and makes a comment about colin when he appears onscreen), reyna, on the rare occasions that the hunters visit, brings isle of dogs (she hasn’t watched a lot of movies, but that one is one of her favorites), frank brings the little prince, which makes percy openly sob, and will brings heathers, to nico’s surprise
- some camp traditions include telling ghost stories at the campfire, karaoke nights in the apollo cabin (they tried to hold one in the big house once, but that only lasted about ten minutes before dionysus kicked them out), secret santas, halloween parties, and thanksgiving at the jackson-blofis house for the year-round campers (and percy, annabeth, tyson, and ella, ofc)
- piper likes to walk around doing chappell roan’s vocal flips and reneé rapp’s riffs
- will is actually a pretty good singer, but he doesn’t think he is bc his powers are more focused on his role as a camp medic, so he compares himself to his siblings. he can also play guitar really well, but his favorite thing is playing it horribly and as loud as possible, or playing at nico because he knows he hates it
- will and annabeth both struggle with imposter syndrome, percy starts talking to dionysus about his ptsd, nico is working on breaking his disordered eating habits, and tyson makes ella a fidget that she can play with so she doesn’t pull out her feathers
- piper and leo like to call each other cunts and reference modern pop culture in front of chiron, who is eternally confused and has stopped trying to understand “the youth”
- annabeth is a swiftie (her favorite album is ttpd) and percy says he isn’t, but sally sometimes catches him singing “safe & sound” or “never grow up” to estelle (he has no idea she knows) and sends videos of it to annabeth. he can’t sing very well, don’t get me wrong, and it’s almost always off-key, but estelle doesn’t seem to mind
- percy does that thing that dads do where he stands at the edge of the room when estelle is watching one of her shows with sally and pretends he isn’t watching it, but eventually ends up sitting with them on the couch and singing (again, very poorly) along to the bluey theme song
- will isn’t actually a morning person, but as the camp medic, he’s just used to getting up at the ass-crack of dawn and running on three hours of sleep and multiple celsiuses (this is why, on “making-nico-and-hazel-watch-movies-we-think-are-important-movie-nights,” he never even makes it through the first one without crashing out)
- apollo did in fact develop a little crush on nico during the tower of nero, but for his son’s sake, he’ll take that secret to his grave (metaphorically ofc)

Can you do a quick lando angst
in the kitchen | lando norris
1k words - loosely based on the song by Reneé Rapp But now it's just me And a hundred square feet of bittersweet memories
Tumblr media
You reached for the chain around your neck, yanking it off with a harsh tug, not even bothered to see where in the kitchen it landed. Maybe it slid under the fridge or tucked away in one of the corners and wouldn’t be found until the next time Lando swept.
Regardless, it was gone.
The necklace he bought you six months after you started dating meant nothing more than the dust that layered the ground. The golden initials, LN, could rust away for all you cared.
You imagined a day where Lando tried to find the necklace. He watched you pull it off with such force, it had to be in the kitchen somewhere. You thought about him on his hands and knees, searching for the last remnant of your relationship until finally, weeks later, he’d come across it covered in a layer of crumbs and grime.
What would he do with it?
Would he throw it out? Or would he just hold onto it, on the off chance that you came back for it, for him? Would he stand there in the kitchen and ask himself what went wrong?
You used to dance in that kitchen. You in one of his shirts, Lando in a quadrant hoodie with the matching crew socks. He’d spin you under his arms and you’d laugh as he fought not to slip on the tiled floor. Quiet music would play through the bluetooth speaker sitting at the edge of the counter and the only light to guide your movements flooded in dimly from the hallway.
You used to cook together in this kitchen. Side by side, breakfast, lunch and dinner when his obligations didn’t whisk him away. You’d argue over the good cutting board because even though there were three other perfectly good cutting boards tucked away in the cupboard, it was more fun for Lando to pinch your sides and tuck you into his chest as your laughter filled the confined space, it was a sound Lando easily became accustomed to.
There was a point when he would do anything to hear it, to be the reason your face lit up and that breathtaking melody passed through your lips. He loved to be the reason for your laugh, your smile, all of it.
He told you he loved you for the first time in that kitchen.
It was during the winter break, a week or two before Christmas and you had just gotten back from a holiday party one of your friends hosted. As you were in the process of sliding your jacket off, you verbalised those worrying thoughts you had about still not being able to find a gift for his parents, something you had been muttering about for a few days and you expected the same response when you turned to face Lando. Don’t worry, we still have time.
But he stood there in the kitchen, twisting one of the rings on his finger and staring at you with a look he had never given you before. The only way you could describe it was new. Like Lando had a fresh set of eyes and he was looking at you in a way he had never been able to before tonight.
“What?” You asked, trying to figure out what was going through that head of his. Usually, you could. You knew him better than he knew himself.
But you didn’t expect him to reach for your hand and pull you into his chest. Your arms wrapped around his waist as you stared up at him. The lack of light in the flat didn’t falter your ability to see him so clearly, it never did.
“I love you,” he whispered, so quietly you almost didn’t hear him. The corner of his lips tugged upwards and he nodded, like he was happy with those words, proud that he finally got them out. “I love you,” he repeated.
He loved you.
At that point, he did. He meant those words and you didn’t doubt it.
Now? You wondered if the times he did say it, he said it absentmindedly before walking out the door, like he had to remind himself how he felt about you, like he needed to say those words for you, not because he wanted to.
You didn’t dance in that kitchen anymore, you hadn’t in months.
You didn’t cook together, relying on delivery apps or eating at separate times.
You didn’t laugh anymore.
Those words, ‘I love you’ hadn’t been spoken out loud in twelve days. You counted.
You stopped saying it first, waiting to see if he would take it upon himself to not be the response, but you had too high of expectations for him. Lando stopped telling you that he loved you the second you stopped telling him.
Did he even realise it? That you had pulled away, that you stopped meeting him at the door to kiss him, stopped dragging him into the kitchen to dance with you. All of those moments, those sweet intimate moments that once meant so much to both of you, had vanished.
If he noticed, he didn't say anything.
If he noticed, why didn't he say anything?
Why was he still not saying anything?
Why were you just staring at each other? Why were there tears streaming down your face while he just stood there? Why wouldn’t he just tell you that he loved you? When did he stop loving you?
When did he stop loving you?
And when did you stop loving him?
You looked away first, maybe you were looking for the necklace for a quick second or maybe you just couldn’t take that distant stare anymore. He wasn’t looking at you like you were brand new. His eyes were tired, drained. They carried no love for you.
Without a word, you stepped away from him, mind and heart empty but that’s how the kitchen felt for months now anyway. Four cutting boards just seemed like too much. The music was too loud. This 100 square feet of space was too dark for you to find any sort of comfort anymore.
There was nothing there for you to hold onto.
It was just a kitchen.

i hate boston - c. sturniolo
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
🫧 chris sturniolo x fem!reader
🫧 heartbreak makes you hate a city you never in your life expected to hate.
🫧 angst. hurt/no comfort.
🫧 465 words.
🫧 hi lovelies!! thanks for wanting to read! i loop reneé rapp constantly and one day i was listening to her, and i hate boston was playing & i thought, “i can do something with this” & here we are!! enjoy!! <3 masterlist
Boston was a beautiful city. Honestly, you loved it there. Key word being loved. Because it all faded away once your heart was broken.
Christopher Sturniolo.
The boy who made you fall in love twice over. Once with him, and then with his city.
You met Chris at a thrift store in downtown LA. You thought he was cute, he thought you were pretty, so you exchanged numbers.
On your first date, he took you out to get ice cream, and afterwards you window-shopped along the Venice Beach strip. It ended with you both getting matching turtle hats. Your cheeks hurt when the day was over, it was one of the best dates you’ve ever been on.
After a month of dating he introduced you to his brothers. You got on with Matt and Nick tremendously well. Sitting with Nick on the couch and showing each other your favorite TikToks was a wonderful pastime. And watching cheesy classic rom-coms with Matt was another of your favorites when Chris was busy.
And a year into your relationship he took you home with him for his birthday. There you met his parents, the sweetest pair you’ve ever met.
You spent so many early mornings talking with Mary-Lou, her showing you baby photos without Chris there to stop her. And talking golf with Jimmy in the middle of the day, even though you only knew barely bare minimum knowledge of the sport.
During your time in Boston, Chris showed you so many of his favorite places. He took you to Star Market where he used to work before YouTube. You spent so much time at his best friend Nate’s house. He took you to the beach and the aquarium and the record store. He showed every little nook and cranny of Boston that he could; all the tourist spots and all the unknown, underground places he loved to go to.
Chris intertwined himself with that city so intensely that you couldn’t help but equate it with him. Anytime someone mentioned the word Boston your mind immediately filled with thoughts of Chris.
That’s why it hurt so much when he broke up with you. He made you love him. He made you love his city. With so much pain in your heart, and with nowhere else to put it, you turned around and decided to hate the city he loves so much because it’s easier than hating him.
Because you can’t hate Christopher Sturniolo. Not truly. Not fully. Not ever maybe. Because he didn’t mean to hurt you. But he did. So now you hate Boston because it’s easier than the twisted haunting pain of memory.
You hope one day though, that you can love Boston in full again, because it truly is just a casualty to your heartbreak.

Beat of my heart | Reneé Rapp x Reader
Where Reneé falls in love with her drummer and childhood friend.
Reneé Rapp Masterlist | Words: 1k
-----
If there was one take away from the Snow Hard Feelings tour for Alyah so far, it was that Reneé and y/n would make a great couple. She knew about her best friend's crush on you, but now after spending so much time with both you and Reneé, she could see that the feelings were mutual. Yet, neither one of you seemed like you were going to make a move any time soon.
Reneé was one of your childhood friends, you both went into the music industry, and you even wrote some music with her over the years. So, it was a no-brainer that when Reneé went on tour, you'd be her drummer.
Going on tour, and spending so much time with Reneé only made your feelings towards her grow. Exploring the cities in the day, performing in the evening, and travelling at night. You did it all together.
After another successful show you find yourself back in the tour bus with Reneé and Alyah. “Who’s up for another movie night?” Reneé asked, it had become one of her favourite ways to relax after a show. The three of you squeezed into Reneé’s bunk together, and put up a movie on the small screen. You hadn't realised how tired you were until you were about twenty minutes into the movie, and were struggling to keep your eyes open.
Reneé’s heart skipped a beat the moment your head fell against her arm, she tensed for a moment, but relaxed when she saw how peaceful you looked. Alyah watched the moment with a knowing smile.
Not even ten minutes later, Alyah looked over and saw that Reneé had fallen asleep as well. She snapped a quick picture, before she carefully got out of the bunk and headed to her own.
You wake by the loud sound of the end credits, and are a little disorientated. When you feel someone move besides you, you realise what happened. “Oh sorry, I didn't mean to fall asleep on you. I should head to my own bunk.” Your slightly groggy voice melts Reneé's heart. “Oh no baby, you're good. I was pretty comfortable actually. Wanna scoot down and get some more sleep?” You're too tired to even hesitate about her offer, and scoot down in the bunk bed. Reneé puts the covers over the both of you.
Reneé laid down beside you. Your heart was beating out of your chest, at how close your faces were together. For a moment, all that the two of you do is stare at each other. You were studying every part of her face, the light freckles on her nose, the way her bangs fell over her face, her slightly parted lips, and her piercing blue eyes looking back at you. “You are so beautiful.” Your words are spoken softly, like they would disappear with the slightest gust of wind.
Reneé’s smile grows, “Thank you baby, so are you.” She reaches out her hand and starts running her hand through your hair, moving her face a little closer with every movement. Your hand finds her side, where you let it rest. When Reneé didn’t see any form of hesitation from you, she closed the distance between you. Her soft lips were moving in a slow rhythm with yours.
Kissing Reneé was both the scariest and most comforting thing at the same time. The softness in her eyes when she pulled away from the kiss, nearly melted your heart. “I've been wanting to do that for so long.” The blonde confessed. Your smile grows wide, “Me too.” Reneé lays down on her back, and pulls you into her side. “Come on, let's get some rest. Big day tomorrow.” You hum, and get comfortable. “Goodnight Nae.” The blonde kisses your forehead, “Goodnight baby.” It was a good thing you were already hiding your face into her chest, otherwise she would have seen you turn bright red.
The next morning when Alyah wakes up, the first thing she does is check your bunk, which she finds abandoned just like last night. She gets excited about even the thought of the two of you sleeping in Reneé’s bunk, which would at least mean a step closer to the two of you realising your feelings for each other. When she stepped closer she heard the two of you giggling, and without knowing what happened last night, she just knew that something had.
“Morning yaya.” Reneé greets her best friend as she heads into the seating area of the tour bus. “Oh yeah I bet it is.” With a knowing smirk Alyah looks up at her, finding a blushing Reneé looking back at her. “Spill.” Reneé slid into the seat beside her, “We kissed, and then cuddled, that’s it. It was amazing though, and I was kind of wanting to ask her out for breakfast, but I wanted to pass it by you first, since I don’t want to leave you out.” Alyah laughs, “Are you kidding me? I’ve been pushing you to ask her out for months! Yes, you go, and you go ask her right now.” Alyah was basically pushing Reneé your way in excitement.
“Would you like to go out for breakfast?” Reneé asked shyly. “Only if it’s a date.” You counter, making the blonde’s nerves fade instantly. “Definitely as a date.” Without hesitation, Reneé grabbed your hand and led you out of the tour bus, having arrived in a new city overnight.
After breakfast you walked around a bit before you had to head back to the venue for sound check. During the sound check you and Reneé were constantly goofing around, much to the enjoyment of Alyah and the rest of the band. Alyah filmed and photographed a lot of the tour, besides the crew who would capture everything in high resolution, the more retro shots that Alyah took were loved by Reneé.

MICKEYY YOUR TICKLE FICS ARE SO ADDICTIVE OMG. AND SINCE BOTH OF US ARE IN A RENEÉ RAPP ERA RN?! I BEG IF UR GONNA BE ACTIVE WRITE FOR LER!REGINA AND LEE!Y/N (THAT FIC MADE ME BLUSH SO MUCH😭😭)
I have been summoned for more fics (not rlly I'm bored)
You're like in love with me
Pairing: Ler!Regina George x Lee!Reader
Summary: Regina is randomly in a lee mood while being on her period
Warning: Tickles, mouth tickles, Regina being soft and clingy, my bad writing I should add
An: Anyone who's reading this deserves to be tickled by a mean girl who's secretly a soft lee
Tumblr media
You play well to the act of people thinking you're the one obsessed with Regina. Behind closed doors it's another story.
It was a late Friday night. You two were bundled up in her thick sheets, watching cartoons during the night hour. Regina wasn't really into cartoons, she rather watch and disect any Real Housewives series, seeing which Housewife she can relate to. She said yes only for you, only because she had a habit of never saying no to you. She can say no to anyone if they were caught using her stuff, even Gretchen. Yet you ask and all she does is roll her eyes and say fine.
Regina was going to have a night out with her friends, partying and seeing which high school football player she might snatch next. But unexpectedly she started her period, so those plans were immediately thrown out the window. Regina isolates herself on her period, she rather eat spiders than let everyone see her in baggy sweats and no makeup. You knew she looked beautiful even on her rough days, you made sure to text her that whenever her self esteem was declining. Which explains why she'd invite her tonight, being vulnerable enough to snuggle next to her, caressing her hair after buying her chocolates and fixing up a cup of tea.
Regina was resting your head on your lap, her hand fitting perfectly under your shirt for warmth. Your lee demeanor was off so it didn't tickle. Although you wish it did by how pointy her nails were and how close it was pointing your skin. You ignored any tickle thoughts you had for tonight, knowing it wasn't right with Regina physically being in pain from the period cramps. She got up, immediately you were in your overprotective mode, asking if she needed anything or if her cramps were coming back.
“Babe what's wrong? Do you need your heating pad?", You ask, holding her waist in making sure she sits back down. She whines, which is the first. You thought Regina might be groggy from the tea or from the boring cartoons. Thinking it was her becoming tired she gets closer to your face, giving it tiny pecks until she reaches your neck. She straddles your waist, kissing your neck until you give in to the ticklish sensations. You were holding yourself together with how tense your body became. You let out a few respectable snickers, but those quickly turn into giggles by how her fingers started scribbling around your side.
“Babe let go- hehhehhHAHAHAHAHA!!", Even on her period she was strong, trapping you in her arms with side and back scribbles while still kissing your ticklish neck. You push away, not too much since you were secretly loving her tickles. But you needed her to stop so she can focus on resting.
“I'm serious babe you need to get some rest and try not to move so much."
“But I wanna give you tickles.", Regina says, her voice softening. It wasn't rare to see Regina in her clingy side. When she's on her period it's like a different persona overtakes her mean girl complex. Of course she's needy with you now but during these times she wants extra attention and extra love. Both you didn't mind, despite her barely being affectionate the height difference makes the hugs ten times bettee. But you've never seen her this clingy to where she's begging to tickle you.
“You can tickle me once you feel better.", You say but Regina is not listening. She sits her head on your tummy, drawing circles and pouting that she couldn't tickle you. She felt every twitch on your stomach towards every circle and star drawing she was making. You were holding back your laughter hard, inches close to just freely laughing and her taking the lead of all the tickles. But again, this night was about Regina, not you.
Yet her hand makes it away under your shirt, being sneaky and having her finger in your bellybutton. This time you did laugh, kicking your feet a bit and not making any sudden movement to your upper body. Regina may have been facing the TV but you can feel her smirking at you.
“Your belly is so warm, like a heating pad.", Regina says, continue to rest her head on it, the little hairs that sticks out tickling your stomach. Her hair was in a messy bun, probably even messier as she's been laying down the past few hours.
“Babe, why do you wanna tickle me so bad?", You say, trying to stop Regina's hands from creeping up on your sides again.
“Can't I reward my girl for taking such good care of me?", She looks at you with the up most smile. A natural adorable smile, not the fake smile she uses whenever she's with the plastics.
“You can't wait until tomorrow where you'll feel better?", You say, pouting back.
She sits back up, getting centimeters close to your face. You can feel the pink rush thru your cheeks over the intense moment. She was hating that I was denying her tickling me and had to use her flirting skills to the test. “You know what I'm craving right now? A delicious tummy with a side of ribs and raspberries. May even want your toes too. Now, care to be a good darling and lift up your shirt for me?", Regina's voice so hypnotizing you do exactly what she says. You slowly lift up your shirt, giving her access to a range of spots that she immediately puts her lips on.
“Be careful with the RIBS HAHAHAHAHAH!!", You laugh, but not too loudly, it's mostly squeaky laughter over the mixture of soft tickling and evil teases. She was nibbling at your ribs, not too hard, Regina isn't the type to be extremely hard to your spots. You were laughing, not necessary caring about the volume of the TV. You weren't squirming that excessively, you were afraid it bothered Regina by how uncontrollable your body was when being tickled. She then squeezed your tummy like a stress ball, making you scream with laughter and your legs kicking up in the air in a cartoonish way.
“HAHAGAGAHAHHAHHA!!"
You stopped to look at her, feeling bad for the extra kicking that shook the bed. “Sorry.", You apologize but Regina lays on her side, admiring your ticklish self.
“Its okay baby you don't have to apologize, it's cute what my tickling can do to you.", Regina says, stroking your hand. She brings her closer, still tickling your tummy while trying to figure out the plot for whatever cartoon you two are watching. You both weren't focusing, Regina was busy from watching you turn into putty from all the tummy tickles. You were too ticklish to focus on how the show might end.
“I think- I think heheghhehehe...", You keep trying to form a thought but the tickles keep fogging your mind. You were speaking in giggles as Regina nods, thinking she understands what you're saying. Acting like she wasn't scribbling all over your tummy and poking your ribs.
“Yea? So what happened next?", Regina asks, interested in what you were giggling out. When it was over and you finally had a thought about the show she surely again was tickling your tummy, squishing it like a stress ball almost. Like those ASMR slime videos. Your legs kicked back up in the air with screeches filling up the bedroom walls. Once the squishy tickles were finished your legs return back down, but once back up again as she continues them to tease you.
“This is so satisfying, I can feel my cramps going away.", You however might gain cramps for the amount of laughing done. She stops again, calming you down with pecks and tummy rubs. You kiss her, thanking her for the unpredictable tickles that came of tonight. You bring her back to the covers, bringing her back to your chest so she can sleep, even if you were the exhausted one from the tickling.
“Gosh, you're like in love with me aren't you?"
“Shut up."

strangers to lovers to enemies with steve harrington
(very much inspired by “in the kitchen” by reneé rapp)
wc: 1.6k
.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。. .・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.
strangers
for the first time in a long time, you didn’t hate your job.
when you found out robin would be working at the family video next door to the pharmacy you had been working at for the past year, you were glad that you would finally have a friend close by.
it would make your boring job a bit more bearable.
you went into family video during your lunch break on one of her first few days. she stood behind the counter with someone you didn’t recognize.
“welcome to this side of town,” you said with a smile, grabbing her attention.
she smiled back at you before then sighing. “do you know how many old people call here just to rant about how “disgusting” and “sacrilegious” the movie selection we have here is? answer: too, too many. they even hate the cartoons meant for little kids. i’m pretty sure i lose a year off my life every time a call like that goes past five minutes.”
the only reason you found her words to be the slightest bit funny was because dealing with annoying old people was a staple to your job as well. “please don’t quit yet. the fact that you’re next door is the only thing that makes me slightly like my job now.”
“i’ll be here for at least a month.”
you laughed at that. “how generous of you.”
“this is steve, by the way,” she told you, gesturing to the guy next to her.
you nodded at him and introduced yourself with a small smile before heading back next door.
steve was smiling the entire time as you walked away, something that robin did not fail to notice.
she lightly nudged him. “don’t even think about trying to get with her, harrington.”
to lovers
naturally, steve did not listen.
because there was something about you and your personality that he was completely enamored by from that first very minor conversation he had with you at family video.
therefore, one night when it was just him and keith in the store and no robin to stop him, he went next door to see you.
you were stocking shelves and were surprised to see him walk into the store.
“hi?”
“hi.”
there was something about his presence that made you feel slightly nervous, mainly because you didn’t know him well yet, and you always felt awkward around people you didn’t really know.
“um, how’s it going?” you asked because that was the only thing you could think to say at the moment.
“i just finished helping a lady find a movie that would ‘spice up her marriage.’ those were her exact words. we spent half an hour looking through pretty much every porn we have in the store, which for a place named family video was weirdly a lot,” steve responded and after your initial shock subsided, you fought the urge to laugh at his story. “and i’ll sadly never get those thirty minutes back. how’s it going here?”
“can’t say i have had experiences like that one today, which i’m very sorry for by the way,” you said. “but, earlier i did have to help an elderly woman pick out the best diapers for her husband, and she went into too much detail about why he needs the biggest size we have. i won’t tell you what she said because you don’t deserve to be subjected to that, but i’m scarred forever.”
he then made a joke about how insane the people in this town are, which made you laugh, and the minor awkwardness fell away from there.
“how long is your break?” you asked when it neared an hour of him being there with you. he started helping you stock shelves when after ten minutes of doing nothing other than talking, you told him that your boss would hate you if you didn’t finish stocking by the end of your shift.
steve glanced at the watch he was wearing. “yeah, i should probably be heading back. what time are you done here tonight?”
“i’m off at 10.”
he smiled at your response. “same here. do you wanna do something after?”
“okay,” you nodded and then turned away so that he didn’t see how happy you were at his question.
that night you drive around aimlessly in his car, listening to music and talking, before stumbling upon a drive-in movie theater and deciding to watch the black and white movie they were playing.
steve’s affectionate and sweet, and you get hit with the unfamiliar feeling of deeply liking someone that swells your heart. so, when he kisses you when he drops you off at your home, it just makes sense to you.
to enemies
when robin entered the pharmacy on a random tuesday, a month after your first kiss with steve, she groaned.
she didn’t know about you and steve yet, but there had been so many instances where you almost accidentally slipped and mentioned it.
steve hadn’t wanted to tell her about you guys just yet because of how adamant she’d been about him not trying anything with you. you personally thought that after her initial surprise wore off she wouldn’t really care that the two of you were together, but you still understood steve’s hesitance.
it was quiet in the store when robin walked in, and you were at the front counter, mindlessly flipping through a magazine.
“what’s happening today?” you asked, knowing that she would have some sort of story to share about family video. for a job that seemed fairly simple, there was always something happening there.
she sighed as she walked over to you and pushed herself up to sit down on the counter. “steve’s flirting it up with some girl right now. and laying it on very heavy, might i add.”
it would be an understatement to say that her words only surprised you. they confused you, made you do an inward double take to make sure that you truly heard her right. and when you realized that you did hear her correctly, her words immediately saddened you. and the worst part was you couldn’t tell her any of that.
“oh?” you tried to hide the shock in your voice. you pulled your eyes away from hers and flipped a page in your magazine.
“yup, and this is surprisingly the third girl this week that’s actually flirting back with him. i had to get out of there this time before it turned into a low-budget john hughes movie,” robin told you and then groaned again.
you heard yourself responding with, “ew, that sounds horrible,” but your mind was in a completely different place right then, and all you could think about was steve and this girl, and apparently two other girls as well.
before robin could question your sudden detached demeanor, you shoved everything you were feeling right then  to the side and plastered on a smile. “you can seek refuge here as long as you need.”
robin smiled back at you as she picked up a random magazine, which was actually the same as yours, and began flipping through it. “god bless you.”
she headed back next door twenty minutes later since she was off in an hour anyway, and that was when you finally let yourself sit in the sadness you were feeling.
sadness that oh so quickly turned to anger.
and when you saw steve hours later, moments after your shift ended, which was also the same time that his did too, you could feel your blood nearly boiling.
“hi,” he greeted you with a smile on his face.
you glared harshly at him before turning away and heading to your car.
“what’s wrong?”
“fuck you.”
you could tell that steve was taken aback by your words and you almost didn’t explain to him why you were acting the way you were, but ultimately you did.
“robin told me that you were flirting with some girl at the video store today. ‘laying it on very heavy’ were her exact words. and she also said that this was the third girl this week that was actually reciprocating your flirting. third.”
he looked away from you and a part of you expected some sort of an explanation from him, to explain that maybe all of it was somehow some big misunderstanding. however, when no response came, you continued speaking.
“i know that we didn’t have a full label on this ‘thing’ we have going on, but still, it’s pretty fucked up, and i can’t believe that i thought you actually liked me.”
“i do like you,” steve told you, full conviction in his tone. “but, this was never supposed to be something serious. i thought we were both on the same page with that.”
those words hurt you because in your mind the two of you were working toward something serious. it was still fairly early, but you liked him a lot and you thought he felt the same way. at least when you were making out in his car he made it seem that way.
“well, i guess we weren’t,” you finally said, trying your hardest to keep your voice steady because you didn’t want him to see how much he hurt you.
“i’m sorry,” he said, and you hated how you could hear the sincerity in his tone, and you also simply hated him in that moment. you didn’t want him to feel bad for you and you especially didn’t want to see him ever again.
“just don’t talk to me anymore,” you told him. your voice was cold and harsh, and you didn’t wait to hear any type of response from him before getting in your car and finally driving away.
on your way home, you realized through blurry eyes that your hope of never seeing him again was probably fruitless because he would be next door to you most days.
suddenly, you were right back to hating your job.

Can I request lilette x reader where reader is Robbies sister and lilette and her have to like sneak around bc they don't want him to find out about their relationship
Got A Secret, Can You Keep It?
Lilette Suarez x fem! reader
Warnings: angst, coarse language, closeted reader, implied homophobia, anxiety, mentions & description of death, make-out & smut. Very long fic ahead.
In which, you’ve got a secret to keep from your brother— the only who knew you as well as you did yourself. And you were terrified.
Tumblr media
“Okay, I’ll see you for dinner tonight. Can’t wait.” You smiled.
“Me too.” Lilette says, your phone was held between your shoulder and ear while you went around the apartment tidying up. “See you soon, babe.”
“Bye.” You said and hung up. Robbie comes home. “Hi, sissy.” He greets you with a bright smile. In a panic, your phone just flies from your hand and falls onto the couch, thankfully. “Hey, how was practice?”
“Good, but tiring.” He tells you, “How’s your day been? What have you been up to for the past couple hours?”
“Uh, well.” You started, “I got home from school at 3:30. Did my homework, got a snack and now I’m just watching a bit of TV while scrolling through my phone.”
“Very chill.”
You shrug, “Hey, I would hate to bother you but could you give me a ride to the diner at like 7? I’m meeting Lilette there to work on a project.”
“The diner at seven? Yeah, sure. No problem.” He agrees quickly. That was partial lie— you weren’t there to work on a project, you were there for your bi-weekly dinner date. Though yes, you have been paired up with Lilette for a project. You guys just didn’t need to work on that right away.
While he went ahead to take a shower, you laid on the couch reading a book to pass the time till you had to go get ready. Well, you also had to wait until Robbie was out of earshot to leave Lilette a voice message. You called her ‘babe’ usually, so, that’s why. Lilette was currently working her shift— she went to work directly after school and would be right there to meet you for dinner that evening.
You put your phone up to your ear to listen to her reply, “I miss you too, cookie. All yours tonight.” You couldn’t help but laugh. She’s always called you by that nickname— Lilette claims it was because you were ‘obsessed with cookies’. And at first you thought she was calling you like, crazy, kookie. But she was horrified by that assumption and immediately told you otherwise. But ‘all yours tonight’…that got you a little excited. Maybe a little too much.
You set an alarm to remind you to get ready in time. After reading some pages of your book in hand, you dozed off. When you woke up again, it was right before your alarm went off. So, you turned the alarm off and went to get ready. “What time will you want me to pick you up?”
“Uh, I’m not sure.” You admitted. “I’ll keep you updated?”
“Okay, yeah. Don’t forget otherwise— how are you gonna get home?” He jokes.
“Probably walk.”
“When have I ever let you walk alone. After sundown?” He chuckles, “If you’ll be out late, call me. I don’t care how late it is, I just want you to be safe.”
“You know we’re the same age, right?” You bit back a laugh, checking your hair in the mirror by the front door.
“I’m still older.” Robbie retorts.
“Whatever.” You shoved him playfully.
“Yeah, yeah. Let’s go.” He nudged you towards the open front door.
You got into the front passenger’s seat as per usual, he puts on his playlist and started to drive. It was a pretty quiet ride to the dinner, so your mind just wandered for the duration of it. Thinking about your Dad, how both yours and Robbie’s relationship was great but they constantly clashed. You hated that they yelled so much, it scared you. Unlike Robbie, your Dad never apologises for raising his voice. Instead, his way of an apology was quietly stocking the fridge with your favourite fruit or the pantry with your favourite snack. Sometimes, just sometimes…he’d take you to go get ice cream. You liked that way the best because you actually got to spend time with him. He liked spending time with you, but he wad almost always too focused on Robbie. How Robbie was doing at his sport, were his grades okay, are rehearsals going well, will they interfere with practice? You couldn’t blame him. Either of them, actually.
Robbie was the boy, the wished-for child, of course he was favoured. Your Mom however, you were her favourite— she always joked about this to make you smile. But now, you rarely saw her. But only because it physically hurt you to see her so sick. You were always thinking about her as much as you wished that that wasn’t the case…thinking and wondering how much time she had left. With you.
Lilette was no doubt the nicest person you’ve ever met. She was such a sweetheart. You didn’t have a lot of friends— you liked it that way, keeping your circle small. Lilette was your closest friend. Now, you were dating her. And have been for the past four months. There wasn’t actually a specific moment the two of you declared that you two were in an exclusive relationship, it just naturally happened evolved time. Everything felt comfortable with her, with her you felt like you had no worries, no fears, no nothing. You simply felt like you were in a little bubble of safety and so much love.
————
“You alright?” Robbie’s voice and the vehicle coming to a stop, snaps you out of your thoughts.
You cleared you throat, “Yeah, yeah. I’m okay.”
“Hey, just enjoy yourself tonight, alright? Don’t worry about Dad, don’t worry about Mom. I’m on my way to go see Mom— we’ll go together tomorrow too, okay? The two of us. She’s okay.”
“Okay.” You agreed with a nod.
“Okay.” He says, “Go on, have a good time. Remember to update me what time you want me to pick you up later and where.”
“I will.” You tell him before getting out of the car. As you entered the diner, you turned to look over your shoulder and he waves. You wave back, stepping into the diner. He drives off seeing that.
Once inside, you see Lilette walking out from the back, her hair down and wearing a flannel and her favourite pair of jeans. Her gaze finds yours and her face lights up. Lilette nearly squeals, rushing over to give you a hug. “Hi!”
“Hi.” You said with a smile, mutually breaking away a few seconds later so you two could sit down. Quickly placing your orders, Lilette started chatting with you. “What’ve you been up to since I last saw you at school?”
“I got home, did my homework, read a book then fell asleep.” You nearly snorted, “How was work?”
“It was good, actually.” Lilette says, “Better than yesterday, thank goodness. No rude customers today.”
“Good.”
“Can I…ask you something?”
“Yeah, of course.” You nod, seeing from the corner of your eye that a waiter was walking towards the booth with your food.
“Would you…want to go somewhere private after we’re done here?” She asks shyly, a deep red dusting her cheeks.
You nearly drop your fork, blinking profusely while looking at her, “Uh— you mean like get…
“A room?” She completes your sentence, nodding her head.
“Actually.” You swallowed your mouthful of your sandwich— your eyes…they were just fixed on her, tracing her features with your gaze, “Yes. Sure.”
Thank God Lilette's mom wasn't on this shift so she wasn't anywhere near here.
————
And so you and Lilette ended up getting a room at a cheap hotel nearby, paid for in cash. She had her arm around you and you were already beginning to fantasise…feeling a certain rush of something going down south. Shit.
“Oh, my God.”
“What’s the matter?”
“I have to text Robbie and let him know he doesn’t need to pick me up.” You realised, rummaging through your pocket for your phone.
“Oh.” She laughs, gently pushing you onto the mattress. You sat down, shooting your brother a text to tell him that you were going to be spending the night with Lilette— you did not however, tell him where. You put your phone aside, focusing on Lilette again. “All good?”
“Yeah.”
She shifted closer to you, barely a couple of inches away from your face. You feel her fingertips on your face as she brushes the stray hairs out of your face to get a clear view. Her hand settles on your cheek, cupping it and she leans in pressing a gentle little kiss to your lips. Lilette does it a few times over before the connection deepens. The kisses became heated and wet, lingering for longer and longer each time. You eventually fell on your back, Lilette went along with it but was careful of how she moved around. Her hand rested on your chest, just shy of your breasts below. She smiled, eyes opening to look at you for a second.
“Are you sure you want to?” She asks, breaking away from the kiss. Her eyes study your face. You nodded eagerly, kissing her back first. “Have you ever done this before?” She asks, voice muffled by your constant kisses.
“No.” You hummed, feeling her knees bracketing you on either side.
“It’s okay, me neither.” She reveals, pressing her first kiss along your jaw. Then, her lips were kissing a trail down your neck, trying to learn what it did— to you and for you. You whine when she kisses a specific spot, she does it again, and again, then harder. Your whine increases in pitch, you feel your cheeks grow hot in embarrassment.
“It’s alright, cutie.” She assured, thumb brushing over your cheekbone, “It’s alright, you don’t have to be quiet.”
Through your breathlessness, you nod, agreeing to what she’d just told you. Then, she started back up again. Kissing that one sensitive area on your neck to keep drawing out those noises and build up your arousal. She’s learnt about something you liked and decided to keep to it. No complaints, though— you were going in blind and absolutely loving it so far.
You feel her hand caressing your hip, over the area that was the waistband of your pants. Your breathing hitches, wondering what she’d do next. "Can I take them off?" She asks you in a quiet voice. All you could manage was a nod, it was as though you didn't know a single word anymore. With that, your pants and underwear were slid off by Lilette. Her eyes meet yours to ask, "Are you comfortable? With me hovering over you like this? Or would you rather...kind of just sit and lean back?"
You took a deep breath and swallowed your spit harshly, "Maybe— maybe we try this first."
"Okay." Lilette smiles sweetly, lips reattaching to the spot on your neck.
"Mm— my God—" You panted.
"So that's good?" She questioned, breath tickling you.
You confirmed, "Mm— mhm, yeah." She tries something she hasn't done to you yet: her teeth grazes your skin just ever so lightly to see how it made you feel. "How's that?"
You shook your head, "No."
Humming, she resumes working on the spot on your neck. She sucked harder and harder over time, you were eventually left with a pretty obvious mark over it. Her hand begins moving down south, stopping just before the mound. "Do you want me to try?" She inquires seriously, her eyes filled with concern— as were her words.
"Yes." You told her, looking at her too, "Yeah."
She moves slowly, fingertips circling the overheating and swollen bundle of nerves between your legs. You whimper, she watches you, you look back at her. It made you grow shy, cheeks blushing as you averted your eyes from hers very briefly. When you grew louder and wetter, she decisively picks up her pace. You feel a finger ghost your entrance and you flinch, then was clenching around nothing. "I'm gonna try, okay, baby?"
Shit, that petname. She's never used that before on you. Oh, boy...
You whined needily at the new petname, giving her an affirming nod to slip a finger inside. As wet as you were you felt every bit of this completely new sensation, it reflexively makes you taking in a deep breath and lift your hips a little. Then, it was as if all of that ignited something in Lilette: she begins moving her finger in and out of you, at the same time, she kisses you...peppering kisses all over your face and down to your chest. She discovers a few other sensitive spots she could take note of for future purposes, too. You feel the tip of a second finger at your entrance several minutes later, and you let her try adding on to the first. But quickly, you learnt that you would rather she didn't do that. It hurt. "Ow!" You cried out as if on reflex from what you were feeling. Lilette removes her finger from you, the second one retracts too.
"Oh, I'm so sorry baby." She says a little scared by how you were affected by it, though a bit apprehensive, her hands found their way to your inner thighs as she sat down between your legs. "Do you want to stop?"
You shook your head 'no'. Her hands then started to massage that erogeneous zone, you relaxed, telling it was okay, "No, no it's not your fault. I'm alright, okay? I promise. We can keep going." Lilette nods her head, kneeling then smoothly bending down towards your cunt. You saw what she was trying to do, "Oh, fuck. Yes, go for it." Your bluntness had her shooting you a look of bewilderment but she quickly recovers and started using her tongue to stimulate your clit. They were slow and almost a little hesitant at first, but you moaned feeling the sheer closeness of you and Lilette. Her being so careful and loving, telling you that you looked beautiful. You were on cloud nine hearing her practically worshipping your body. That was all she needed to gain the confidence and momentum to keep going, picking up her pace gradually to allow for build up of arousal and pleasure.
“Feel good?”
“Fuck— fuck— so good.” You breathed out shakily, voice almost strained. You were clenching your fists and licking your lips, unsure what to do with your hands. However, your natural instinct was to run a hand through her hair and without any thought, that’s what you did. A smile forms on her face, and yours, seeing her happy.
Lilette contently ate you out until she felt you throbbing against her tongue. With her brows raised slightly, she pulls herself away from your cunt to look at it. “Oh, baby.” Her hands massaged your inner thighs again, “So pretty. So, so pretty~” Her eyes flicked up, catching your gaze. It makes you squirm out of frustration, though you weren’t exactly sure why you were feeling that way. Her thumb rubs your clit and you back away just slightly, a whimper falls from your lips as your head rolls back. She decides to test something— she rubs your clit again. You whimper. The back of her fingertips ghosts your clit. You whine. Grinning to herself, she got back to rubbing your clit consistently all while feeling the throbbing intensify and watching you begin clenching.
“Oh God—” You breathe in deeply, the fluttering in your core stops and spreads immensely, “Oh. God! Shit. Lilette, fuck— oh my God. Oh my God. Oh my God.” Each exclamation came out in a pant, with you whining through the whole thing.
Lilette slows down progressively to help you come down from your climax and then detaches her mouth from you once you started to seem more relaxed. She scooched upwards to sit right by you, her palm rests on your abdomen, stroking it, “Are you okay?”
You nodded, and felt a sudden urge to burst into tears. You don’t know if it was the realisation of the whole act of having sex, or it specifically because of the intensity of your climax, but the urge…was strong. Too strong. Lilette repositioned herself and was laying on her stomach while face to face with you. You licked your lips and pursed them together. It quivered anyway, and Lilette brushes her thumb over your cheek watching you with worried eyes. “What’s wrong?”
“Nothing.” You managed. “Nothing. I promise.”
“It’s okay.” She squeezes your cheek slightly, “It’s okay, I’m right here with you. Cry if that’s what your body feels like doing.” The feeling was dying down until she said it, then the waterworks began with virtually no warning. She guides you onto your side to hold you in her arms and rub your back to soothe you. “You’re alright, hm? I promise.” She said softly, planting a kiss on your shoulder, “You did good.”
————
Early the next morning, you and Lilette were getting ready to leave the hotel and go back to the diner for breakfast. Holding onto the wall to steady yourself while you put your pants on, an obscene noise startles you and you cringe.
“Oh, geez.” Lilette realises too, “Bit early, huh.”
You moved away from the wall and finished getting dressed. Once freshened up, you two checked the room to make sure you didn’t leave anything behind. Lilette was holding onto your hand, fingers intertwined together. But you were a step ahead, pushing the door open you step outside first. “Robbie’s picking you up from the diner at 7:30, yes?” You confirmed with a nod of your head. Looking left and right on reflex but locking eyes with none other than your father. You tried pushing Lilette back into the room but he saw you immediately. Someone was with him— someone familiar but you couldn’t see their face.
Your feet were rooted to the carpeted floors out of total fear. “My Dad.” You turned your head to whisper quickly. Lilette successfully pulls you back into the room but he was too fast, coming face to face with you and Lilette. “Why aren’t you at home?” He bellowed. You flinch, backing up against Lilette. A cry was caught in your throat.
He yells at you until you all leave the hotel, following you around right beside you.
‘What are you doing here?’
‘Who is this?’
‘Why aren’t you home?’
‘Does your brother know about this?’
You started to zone out, your heart was slamming in your chest as the sound pounded through your ears. Your breathing…it quickened to the point where you couldn’t feel much of anything going into your system. Behind his shoulder, a car driving by catches your eyes. Robbie. You ran, Lilette ran with you as you desperately waved to catch his attention so he could stop. “ROB!” You screeched.
“You’re screwing with my mother and you don’t know who I am?!” You hear a voice behind you yelling right as Robbie slows down his car to a stop, “You’ve met me multiple times. I’m your daughter’s best friend.” Seeing how upset and flustered you were, he quickly unlocks the doors so you could get in.
“Fuck you.” Lilette spat, her words filled with venom. You’ve never seen her so angry.
That. That was why your father didn’t chase after you anymore. He got caught too— it was becoming a complete shit show in this driveway. Your father looked at Robbie, as though trying to apologise, but he was gripping at the wheel so tightly that his knuckles became pale. Next thing he did? He drives away. So fast.
————
The car ride was silent, but the tension was high. None of you knew what to say. But you feel a sickening feeling bubbling in your stomach. “Pull over.” You spoke up. Sensing your tone, he does so immediately. You opened the door and leaned over the grass patch to throw up. Lilette rubs your back, obviously worried and startled by how abrupt it was. But, she had an inkling why you were like that.
By the time the three of you arrived at the diner, you had calmed down. Or so you thought. Your mind was still racing, trying to piece together an explanation for your brother. You didn’t want him to be mad at you as well.
“Rob—” You sniffled. “Don’t be mad at me.”
“I’m not mad at you. That’s the last thing I’ll be feeling. I saw enough to know who to be mad at.” Robbie assured, “Did he hit either of you?”
“No.” Lilette answers, “I almost kicked him in the crotch, but I didn’t.” You shook your head.
You knew he was waiting for a full rundown of the events, and you were going to tell him— despite how terrifying it was. “After we had dinner, we went to the hotel and spent the night. Because—” You stopped yourself, “We wanted…privacy. That’s why I said you didn’t have to pick me up last night. Everything went fine until we heard people going at it in the room next to us this morning. We leave the room to check out, it was Dad he started tailing me demanding an explanation as to why I was there. Couldn’t tell him— nothing came out of my mouth. I almost passed out in front of the hotel.”
“So that’s when I drove by and you stopped my car?”
“Yeah. And while I was making my way to the car, Lilette was screaming behind me. That’s why he stopped chasing us. He got caught too.”
“With my mother.” Lilette adds on.
“Can you not tell Mom, please? A-about me and Lilette.” You requested quietly, feeling the tears pricking at your eyes.
“Hey, you have my word, okay? I’m not gonna tell mom or anyone. You’re old enough to make your own decisions.” He promised. “I’m just…glad it’s Lilette and not that creepy chess club guy that tried to take you to the dance last time.”
You chuckled at the memory, “Thanks.”
“Okay, eat your breakfast. Don’t worry about Dad, I’ll handle him.”
“But— where can we go? What if he gets violent? We can’t stay at Lilette’s either.”
“I’ll take you two to go spend time with Mom. Alright? Stay there until I come and get you— we’ll figure something out if the time gets too late. But you should be okay, the staff knows us. They’ll let you guys stay longer.”
“Okay.” You agreed. Lilette holds your hand, brushing her thumb over your knuckles. Breakfast went by uneventfully, then the three of you were on your way to your Mom. Though it was early, your Mom was awake, smiling so brightly at the sight of you. You let go of Lilette’s hand and rushed to her side, giving her a kiss on the cheek. “Hi, mama.”
“Good morning, ladybug.” Your Mom says back, caressing your cheek weakly, “Who’s that pretty girl you came in with?”
Oh, right.
You looked over your shoulder, silently asking Lilette to approach. She walks over. “Hi, Mrs. Thorne.”
Your Mom laughs breathily. “Too formal. Rhea.”
“This is Lilette, remember her? My best friend.”
Your Mom sighs, “Of course. Oh, goodness. I’m sorry, sweetheart. My memory’s all over the place. I used to call you little lily.”
“That’s right.” Lilette cracks a smile.
“Lilette’s my girlfriend now, mama.” You revealed.
“Oh, that’s so great.” Your Mom gasps softly, “I’m so happy for you, ladybug. I’m so happy you found love in your best friend.”
That was it, you were crying like a baby having received your Mom’s blessings. Lilette pulls a chair closer for you to sit, no— fall back on. She rubs your back and held you close while she stood. “Don’t cry, sweetheart. Please don’t cry. Mommy’s happy for you, don’t you worry about things like that. I love you. You’re my baby.”
“Thank you, mama.” You swallowed your tears, “Thank you, I love you so much, mama.”
You and Lilette stayed with your Mom for hours, chatting and laughing. You wanted her to sleep and get some rest since she’s been up for awhile, but she refuses and there was no fighting her. So you just let her stay up. “Hi, y/n. Good to see you here again.” A nurse who recognised you came by to check on your Mom.
“Hi, Iris.” You gave her a smile.
“Oh, who’s this?” She asks, curious.
“That’s Lilette. Her girlfriend.” Your Mom answered before you did.
“Aw, that’s sweet.” Iris sighs, “Young love is beautiful.”
Once Iris leaves, you told your Mom, “Dad doesn’t know.”
“He doesn’t even come by. He doesn’t need to know anything.” You mom tells you calmly, “What matters is you’re safe, healthy and happy. How’s school for you?”
“Very good.” You reply, Lilette nodded too. “Great friends, teachers are great too. My grades are good. I got a 95% on my last quiz.”
“That’s my girl.” Your Mom praised, “I’m so proud of you.”
Lilette couldn’t help but smile seeing you and your Mom interact. The love was so, so apparent. “Robbie’s coming later.” Your Mom says.
“I know, Mama. I know. He dropped us off, he just has to go run some errands.”
You could never tell your mom what your dad’s done. You couldn’t do that to her. She didn’t need any of that right now. She was on her literal deathbed.
“Thank you for coming to see me. Both of you. It’s so nice to have you both here.”
“Of course, mama. I’ll always make the time to come see you.”
Robbie came to the hospice in the evening. Lilette taps him on the shoulder once and he flinched, seething. Uh oh.
“Robbie, hi, baby.” Your Mom’s face lit up again just like when she saw you.
“Hi, ma. Here I am.” Robbie chuckles, giving her a kiss on the cheek.
“Your sister said you had to run some errands.” Your mom mentioned, almost suspiciously but also with an undertone of worry.
“Uh, everything’s fine. Dad’s just being difficult.”
“Don’t let him affect you. Focus on yourselves, that old man can take care of himself.” She says, “I’m serious. You all are graduating high school this year and going off to college, working next…whatever. Life’s gotta keep going, don’t let stuff like that hold you back.”
What?
“Take care of yourselves. You can’t rely on your Dad. You, take good care of my daughter.” She looks at Lilette at that moment. “I promise.” Lilette answered seriously. “Good.” Your mom smiles.
“Mama.” You mumbled. Holding onto her hand, you looked at her— incredibly worried. You couldn’t shake this feeling once you’d heard all of that. She squeezes your hand and gave you a smile. You didn’t say much of anything else for the rest of the night. The three of you decided to hang around for way longer even though your Mom initially wanted you all to go home and get some sleep. You just couldn’t leave her.
“Kids.” Your Mom says breaking the silence and looking away from the TV screen. The three of you focused on her, she sighs. “Remember to take good care of yourselves. Always stand up for what’s right. Don’t ever change yourselves for others. Remember I love all of you and will always be around in whatever way possible. Don’t worry about me. I know I do not have to worry about you kids. Don’t worry about college, both of you. Lilette, thank you for making my baby girl so happy.”
“Ma—”
“What—” Robbie paused the the movie. Ghostbusters. You guys watched this all the time at home.
“I have to go, okay? Mommy’s tired, I’m very sorry. I’ll be back. Every time you see you a sunset, I’ll be there.”
Tears streamed down your face as the realisation hit and denial went away. You clung onto her hand for dear life, as did Robbie. Lilette had her arm around you. Suddenly, everything felt like they were going in slow motion.
Your Mom’s gaze looking between the three of you.
Her smiling, her eyes welling up with tears.
You hear Robbie trying to hold it together but quickly failed, choking on a quiet sob. Lilette was breathing heavily beside you, sniffling.
Your mom’s eyes, her eyelids begin to droop.
The sound of the heartrate monitor going lower and lower, slower and slower.
Then, the flatline. It echoed, her eyes closed. Her hands, let go. You went limp in Lilette’s embrace, but you were soon escorted out by a nurse. Lilette hugs you, and since you were facing the direction of your mom’s bed you could see them drape a blanket over her to cover her up. You were a mess, tears soaking her shirt, mumbling incoherently as you cried.
Lilette was speechless. Nothing she says would be right. So she just held you to keep you steady. Robbie tries to get you both to leave but you resisted, not wanting to leave your mom.
“y/n, let’s go. Mom said to take care of ourselves.” Robbie says quietly, hand on your shoulder. “Let mom rest. She’s been fighting for a long time.”
“I’m sorry.” You murmured.
“Don’t be sorry, let’s go.“
————
Once home, it was another fight. A very angry father was waiting for your return. “What are you crying about?” He snarked.
“Mom died.”
“Mom’s fine.”
“She died.” Robbie repeated, “Took her last breath right in front of us. She’s been there for such a long time and you haven’t seen her more than three times. Leave y/n alone, leave Lilette alone. If you think it’s right to get mad at your daughter for being herself, I get why you’d think it’s acceptable to cheat on your dying wife. You are a sick bastard.”
Your Dad swung on Robbie, but Robbie was agile, he successfully defended himself by dodging and your Dad’s fist slams into the wall. “Why didn’t they call?!”
“Ask yourself that. Ask yourself when the last time you saw her was. Even Lilette’s been there more than you have. Her name’s always in the visitor log. Ask yourself why felt that it was okay for her to go, without you around.” Robbie responded lowly, his whole frame trembling with anger. “You know what? It’s no use talking to you. You need to leave the house and never come back.”
“How dare you ask your father to leave his house!”
“This is mom’s house. And now, it’s mine. Mom left it to me. She left you nothing. She may have been very sick, but she was more clear-headed than you have been.” Robbie continues. “LEAVE!”
You all watched him leave, finally defeated. “Burn in hell.” He says as the door slammed.
“Go to bed.” Robbie urged, “It’s late.”
You gave in, Lilette heads up to your room with you.
“Good night. I’ll be up with you in a minute.” Robbie says softly. Entering your room, Lilette shuts the door behind the both of you and turned the lock. She picks out a change of clothes for you and herself then handed your stack to you. Till now, not a word’s been said yet. You got changed, so did Lilette. She took your clothes and tossed them in the hamper before pulling your covers off the bed enough so you could get in comfortably. Lilette knew you were hurting and grieving. It didn’t take a genius to know that, but there was hell of a lot more going on. You needed her and she knew it.
“I love you.” She holds you tightly, both arms wrapped around you. You laid on her chest, trying to empty your head and focus on the steady beat of her heart. Lilette stroked your hair to lull you to sleep, eventually she resorted to singing. The door, having been unlocked by Lilette righr before you both got into bed…creaked. It opens up, you hear Robbie’s voice. Indistinctly.
“I got her, go rest.” Lilette tells him, “You’d better keep a close eye on your shoulder. If it gets worse, get it checked out.”
“I will.” Robbie says, “G’night.”
“Night.”
Robbie exits, closing the door again. “I’m sad.” You mumbled. “I know, honey. That’s okay. Let it out, I got you baby. You’ll be okay.”
“I’ll be okay.” You repeated while she rubs your back and pressed kisses to your head every now and then, “Thank you. For being here for me. Always.”
“And forever.”

thoughts on descendants 4 after just watching it <3 spoilers below
i didnt hate it but it also wasnt great?? i unironically love all the other descendants movies, ive got all the books, the dolls, dove cameron is always in my spotify wrapped top 5 bc of how much i listen to the soundtrack. those are my qualifications for not being a hater. i just didnt think this movie lived up to the original trilogy
and obviously they want to make more movies, which im okay with, but this one still felt unfinished. not in a "there's more to explore in the sequels" way but in a "we forgot to write an ending" sort of way
the pacing was just really weird and when we checked to see how much time was left and saw there were only ten minutes, we couldnt believe it
with all the talk of castlecoming and how big a deal that was, it felt so weird that we didnt see it?? that bridget went thru this horrible life changing prank that literally turned her evil and we just never even got close to it. taking the book was enough
(also, why did red even have to open the book in the first place if they only needed to play keep away with it? they werent even looking for anything inside)
WHAT was chloe talking about when she said her mom changed so much?? like did ella tell her nothing about her past? she's surprised that her mom grew up poor and abused and disliking royals but went on to marry a prince and be kind and give her gifts?? i dont understand what she was confused about alskjfsl
i did like brandy and paolo tho. idc if it was fan service, im a fan and felt serviced <3 their parts were cute. there was no reason for ella to be running around with blue hair tho. and the top, back, and braid all felt like they were from a different wig and none of it was working for me
i am SO glad chad got a mention tho. i screamed when it happened. i just figured they'd ignore him completely lmao
uliana was written like racist people write uma in fanfics. disappointing. disney still owes her for season 1 of hsmtmts so they better improve her part for the sequel movies
the songs were also v disappointing for meee :/ my sister said half of them sounded like they belonged on the zombies soundtrack (derogatory). the soundtracks of the original trilogies have almost zero skips on them, so it sucks that like over half the songs on this one could be a skip for me
this is also true of the stupid royal wedding short but i hate that they essentially killed carlos off for real. its sooo dumb but idk i just like thinking that cam could live on in his character but nooo. and even tho im convinced that china was crying real tears in that scene and it still hurts, the whole "we should do it for carlos" thing was like. still weird
anyway like everyone did a good job with what they were given but i think the script and song writing were nowhere near as strong as the original 3 (even tho i also think the original 3 movies vary in quality in those regards)
but i still had a good time and hope they make more. and i need those dolls to show up in stores bc i want them <3 and above all else...
