Qsmp September 14 Event with Tubbo, Roier and Slimecicle: A Summary

-Tubbo, Roier and Charlie were given clue books to start the event containing separate parts of a coordinate they had to combine and go to; they waited around for 20 minutes before they realized this

-Roier's Maxican Lag came with a vengance

-Charlie learned how to say blowjobs in Spanish

-Charlie became from hostile towards Fred's presence to egregiously horny for him (Tubbo was not pleased)

-Fred lead them to an underground cavern entrance and left them to it, saying they were on their own now

-The three of them infought continuously throughout this entire process

-Roier tried to break up Charlie and Tubbo fighting over Fred by telling them to kiss

-The three found a redstone contraption that got blown up by a creeper, making Fred have to guide them to a new area

-Fred aka "Freddy Fastbear" occasionally disappeared around corners they were to follow, and left torches that led the way

-Roier had to pee in the middle of finding an important clearing

-They found an entity with an inverted Cucurucho's skin of a black body and red facial features; "Cucurevil" let out an ominous laugh before disappearing

-They found a room with the center encased in protected invisible blocks; the center had the clothing of the missing eggs with a spin wheel right at the core (Charlie made Roier take pictures of him twerking in front of them while Tubbo refrained the urge to kill them both)

-Tubbo found a way into the area with his last enderpearl, not realizing he would need another to get out

-Tubbo spun the wheel, causing lava to cascade and almost kill him if not for his grappling hook; Roier told him Tubbo didn't do anything wrong and did his best while Charlie told him he killed everyone (a very angel and devil on the shoulder situation)

-The lava kept coming until it covered the whole area, and Tubbo was forced to warp out to Tallulah's after a mental breakdown over potentially killing the eggs

-Mobs started swarming Roier and Charlie; the mobs downed Charlie and Roier swooped in in the nick of time to revive him so he could warp to Spawn

-Roier remained in the dungeon for a bit, fighting for his laggy life until he was able to escape the mob swarm and warp out

-Charlie had a keycard for a door they couldn't get into previously that he didn't think to bring up until after they had left, so they went back (this time they actually prepared for a dungeon run)

-Roier revealed that Polispol was the very first gamer in existence

-Roier and Tubbo fought together to clear the entrance hallways of mobs while Charlie scouted

-Lava started cascading down from the ceiling of the entire cave system, forcing them to run as fast as they could to the exit (the imagery of these lava moments make for great fanwork material imo)

-Tubbo caught an invisible admin laying down mines in the act, of which his callout was promptly met with him being doused in lava

-Explosions opened up an area below the ground the three accidentally fell into, showing a Federation room with a locked door; Charlie's keycard didn't work for it, and it got flooded with lava and mobs, forcing the three to warp out again

-This second warp did not make them realize they should place a warpstone in the dungeon

-They sung Shakira on the third way back, deciding not to pursue the inner dungeon anymore but rather a ladder they earlier passed by; they did not find it, but they did accidentally find Missa's basement

-Overall, a hectic, laggy, horny, and very chaotic lore event. 10/10

pt. 4 | pt. 6 And now… let me say a few words… I started all this just to show the death of Raph. I didn't want to make his death sad or tragic, it should be grandiose, worthy of a real hero, worthy of an older brother. "Like a boss". You may be tired of seeing his self-sacrifice in any form, but all the options that I saw … yes, they are good, but they are not at all on the scale that Raph is capable of. They're having a world war, all the brothers have been thrashing these aliens like kids in the movie, and all I get is Raph pinned down by the rubble?? (I only like this version when he's already a robot, but I don't like it at all when he's alive, still powerfull (because, again, their ninpo most likely connected to their feelings, and Raph is the one who can use full out of it alongside with Mikey) Raph is terribly strong, if he were alive to the very end, I'm sure he would scare the krang on a par with Donnie, because, firstly, Mikey is not so scary for them because of the side effect of his ninpo, secondly, Leo lost his ninpo. So…even if briefly and rudely enough, but I wanted to show how strong the effect of Raph's death had on everyone, not just to forget about him later. (This character is very difficult for me myself, unfortunately, I can’t convey all the little things of his character and … ha ha, I can’t basically draw him correctly… mmm …) (Anyway... there will be some more parts and maybe one more episode... I'm not sure... and I'm still struggling to draw the way I like... unsuccessfully so far... khm) (Thanks to someone, my thoughts are now completely filled with the thought of finally getting back to Casey, so I can't think straight… I'm in Hell right now)

I've been watching your animatic on repeat for a good part of the last few days! First, I want to say thanks for making it and sharing it!

Second, if you're up to it, I would love to hear your commentary on each shot! From what I could gather, Elliott and Mivvy have quite a tumultuous relationship! What makes it that way? And can you as the artist/writer see them get better?

This means a lot to me, genuinely. First off, thank you, thank you so much.

Second off, get ready for some words❤️ and insanely, incredible reaching for some points but stick with me here.

This whole parts’— scene, going up to “Mivvy Walking away from Elliott” dialogue is something being said BY Elliott, hence the quotation marks, not his exact words but “why are they laughing when it gets to that point? what happened? what IS happening?!”

Well, they’re drunk, not very easy to show but they ARE drunk in the first frame and that FEELING is what gets them CLOSER. They’re enemies, well, one-sided. Right— and Elliott misses those nights even if it made him hungover the next day, and he would do anything to feel it again if it meant remembering the night(s) prior.

Although the second “scene” isn’t too deep. I want to say that Willy is NOT an antagonist in Mivvy’s schtick. He distances himself from Elliott a LOT and by “distance” I mean he fucking runs away from him. He gets jealous CRAZY and not “IM GOING TO KILL HIM!!” Crazy he HATES himself, he hates himself so much he’d take an excuse for anything just so he can beat himself down for just. Fumbling. For messing up— for failing to take that chance to overcome his deepest traumas and insecurities he has a cycle and he WILL REPEAT IT (according to himself.. and me! but because I want him dead .joke)

This part’s important.

to me at least. “Are they fucking???” Yes. They are. But it goes beyond a sexual act CLEARLY for Mivvy because another thing is that he doesn’t allow himself to (romantically, platonic appears to be an exception but even he feels AWFUL about it sometimes) love someone without feeling deeply, deeply compromised or guilty about it. He doesn’t think he can love that he can only HOPE he is even capable of it— feeling it, showing it.

so why are they having intercourse? Let me tell you a secret.

I cut out a frame of Mivvy holding Elliott’s hand in that scene, which puts emphasis on his despair. He, Mivvy, can’t show any blatant sort of sign he loves someone unless it’s during sex. Hand holding? Kissing? Bodily praise? GENERAL praise? only during sex or else he’d feel just awful. Like “oh it can’t be that bad” no it’s like “I will never look at your direction for an unelaborated period of time after this. I will have visceral thoughts of never coming back from the place I call home now that it will become like a daydream. I will die.”

He can allow himself to see true happiness in Elliott when he’s blowing his hole ykwim. because he’s doing something good for him that time, doing something that although never will be worthwhile, will make him want for a reason worthy of wanting him.

Now these. And FINALLY these.

To anyone who hasn’t SEEN the animatic (which I hope you DID) this is an obvious display to their past and how it’s “affected” them, kinda— but also very affiliated to how their current selves interact in that sense.

Both (Mivvy in Canon, Elliott to my interpretation) had harsh upbringings: never been believed for a second, being tormented by the thought of never making it and rather being so humiliated and even WORSE— never having their name known to anyone but the people who knew this was going to happen.

HOWEVER. There are two outcomes, and both of them take a different one.

Elliott constantly persists with his passions, hence what makes him eventually, a successful author. His progression is slow but he knows this is something meant for him despite every hurdle he comes across— because he loves it, even if he’s nervous about if this is the right way to go or not sometimes, he knows fully that whatever word was said about him never making it is absurd.

Mivvy, on the other hand. Sees being a farmer as his last resort. In other words, he’s given up on everything that made his identity as a creative: his dreams. Nobody really knows this except for a few people but nobody truly knows that it fucking kills him.

He envies Elliott so much it makes him almost violent, it makes him scared of him it makes him want to do something awful. Hence why he looks away in the first frame of this, whilst Elliott looks directly at him like he’s REACHING out for him and mivvy slaps his hand away or runs.. away..

“So what about the second part?”

Elliott doesn’t run away, no. But at a certain point there’s always going to be a line, and when Elliott is a lot more upfront and being like “get more support PLEASE or I won’t even dare talk to you anymore.” And a LOT more concerned at that point it’s like Mivvy holding a hand out to be met with such nervousness and even distrust/unpredictability

Elliott still loves mivvy, yes. But he’d rather be heartbroken than watch Mivvy break over every aspect that is his life. He can’t keep chasing something far faster than his legs can ever imagine especially when there’s a speed limit. (METAPHORICAL) he’s trying, but he also knows himself well.

This is where their Relationship begins to take a curve for the better(?) Mivvy gets help, gets THERAPY actually.

The animatic is just the most condensed version of THEM, I promise you truly it isn’t just them. But let me answer your other question.

“Elliott and Mivvy have quite the tumultuous relationship, what makes it that way?” Elliott’s persistence to push forward and Mivvy’s fear to come closer.

she ra confuses me, like in some parts of it, it subverts tropes like destiny, mentors, redemption arcs, but in the big finale it's the biggest 'the good guys defeat the bad guys with the power of love' cliche

I disagree. There are some elements of this, but the meat of the finale is not about the power of love - rather, it is about identity and self-actualization. And the places where love interact, sometimes it is in more interesting ways. Such as.... where this love comes from, and where it is accepted.

Let me go through the key beats of the finale:

1. Would you say Shadow Weaver saved Catra and Adora with the "power of love"? Is that her "love" for them? If so, then that's really interesting - a darker interpretation of love, which they also have for her, in a way. That is no happy go lucky love cliche. The scene with them crying over her, it's powerful and painful and very provocative, IMO the strongest part of the finale. What do you do when you feel love for your abusive parental figure, and then just when you're getting over the fact they never cared about you, they show love back in an act of self-destruction? What closure do you get?

2. Love in the context of Entrapta and Hordak, is hard earned, because these characters spend so much of the show thinking that they were innately unlovable, and because Hordak had spent the whole season being guided back to his own identity with the "LUVD" crystal, and even then, it still wasn't enough - after Hordak had finally won the battle to be true to himself, to show and accept love, he had this pried out of hands immediately by Horde Prime. In the original animatic, Hordak panicked that he killed his brother (who in part he does still love), and Entrapta calmed him down... then Prime yelled at them, in Hordak's body, that they were unworthy and unloved and would die with no comfort. It was chilling. The final scene was cut short but I'm glad the original was shared.

These two have a bit in common with Adora and Catra - Entrapta works her ass off this season to protect the people she cares about with her tech skills, and is scared of failing them or being rejected, while Hordak doesn't think he is worthy of love because of the monstrous abomination that he is. In this scene, rather than shooting Entrapta, failing her again, and discarding his identity, Hordak shows her that he recieved her message of caring about him, reciprocates, and has her back. And in doing so, accepts he's worth something.

3. Catra and Adora's story of love isn't about the fact that they were going to get into a romance, it is about how Adora has spent the entire show giving OTHER PEOPLE her love, INCLUDING Catra, and how she has always refused to accept reciprocation. She has gotten herself into the mindset that it's her responsibility to care for and protect everyone else, and that to accept help, or to let other people do the job, would mean that she is too weak to be counted on, that she is unworthy of the power of She-Ra, or of the love her friends have for her. Adora's too strong for her own good and thinks that because she has a very slim possibility of surviving a suicide mission, that she should do it, rather than someone who has zero chance. But like how Angella didn't think Adora should seal the portal, Catra doesn't think Adora should use the Failsafe by herself, and decides that they will face their fate together.

In accepting Catra's love, Adora accepts she is worthy of love, that she is worthy of happiness, and this basically heals a rift in her being which allows her to focus on BECOMING She-Ra and actually save the world.

4. While I'm not exactly fond of Mermista and Sea Hawk's scene (IMO its inclusion was fun but made the finale seem too much like "power of love woohoo"), Glimmer and Bow had some interesting demonstrations of love.

Glimmer doesn't break Micah's control with kind words of friendship like everyone else does - she shows her love by MELTING HIS DAMN FACE OFF, knocking him out of the fight and stopping him from further damaging his own body.

Bow's big love moment isn't for himself or even someone he's particularly close with - it's for SCORPIA. Bow appeals to Scorpia's inner good nature, to get her to pause for ONE SECOND, so that he can execute Entrapta's nicely-prepared programme and actually free all the chipped people, because no amount of love will spare them from Prime's hivemind. It's a big moment for Scorpia, who has spent the whole show being the villain who always had so much care for others, but never recieved much back. Bow may not be close to her, but he understands what it is to be that friend, and is able to connect to her and believe in her without having much of a rapport.

5. Prime's actual death is straight up She-Ra murder, which is pretty cool. Bear in mind, this isn't She-Ra's power being boosted by love so much as it is the Heart of Etheria that the First Ones collected... but Adora, now at peace, is able to enjoy a moment of empathy for Hordak, a character who has a lot more in common with her than she would have ever believed.

Two soldiers born and bred to be used as weapons of war, finally meeting again at the end of their journeys.

Anyway, like I said, there are SHADES of "power of love", and that comes through when the characters "break out" of their chip control, but complete pandering to this is subverted by how the chips actually had to be 1. broken to prevent complete control of the characters and 2. removed by Entrapta and Bow's server hack, which is absolutely NOT "power of love", we spent the whole past season watching them prepare for that task, learning about Prime's computers and dismantling the chips.

The places that it appears most, as listed above, are hard earned, and more about the power of self respect than about loving someone else. Because the characters have all been capable of loving others the whole time, but the hard part is accepting they are worth being loved back, and that's what the finale is about!

A quick prompt @luanabonn and I came up with seeing this TOTALLY CANON scene of Levi bathing Hange in this hilarious animatic video (the best part is obviously from 0:17-0:25)

Imagine the first time the vets walked in on Levi bathing Hange and Erwin would probably just facepalm or start rubbing his temples like "Geeez guys, really?". Mike would be like "Called it!" and high five Nana. Poor Moblit would probably just freez cause he's traumatized for life 😂

Years later when the 104th kids walk into the same scenario, Levihan would legit try to normalize it 😂 I see Levi saying something like "What are you looking at, brats? This is perfectly normal. I've been doing this for years now, okay?" and Hange would say "yeah... It's surely not like we're dating or something like that...ha ha ha... not at all"

And the kids be like "Yeah we know you're not dating... Because you're already married... Mom & Dad" ❤️

“Erwin... Why are you standing out on the corridor?” Mike asks on the way back to his room. It’s late. There’s no reason for Erwin to be standing back against his door, looking absolutely resigned.

Nanaba peeks from behind Mike, “hey boys, what’s the commotion about?”

Moblit is with Nanaba, both deciding to search the male dorms for Hanji who has seemingly disappeared into thin air.

“Hanji and Levi are in my bath...” Erwin exhales a sigh, eyes shut, fingers rubbing his temples.

“What do you mean?” Mike says carefully. At this point, Moblit just looks like he’s seen a ghost. Abort abort! It’s okay Nanaba I’ll look for Hanji buntaicho another time! It’s not that urgent! Nothing is that urgent! But Moblit knows it’s too late. He knows where this is all going. He’s part of their little game now.

“I mean...” Erwin gives them ‘that look’, the one they always give one another when Levi and Hanji are being insufferable, “they are in my bath... Bathing... Together...”

Mike and Nanaba freeze for a second.

It’s only a split second and soon they’re pushing past Erwin and dashing in his room.

“Wait-“ Erwin and Moblit in a hushed whisper. But soon the three of them are standing outside his bathroom door.

Laughter streams through from the other side of the door.

“Oh my god...” Nanaba gasps, “what’s going on?”

“Let’s weigh our options,” Mike suggests.

“On one hand, we get to see for ourselves, get to the bottom of this matter... You know... Investigate...” Erwin has his thinking face on.

“Investigate huh... That’s exactly what the tax payers pay us to do in the Survey Corps...” Mike says. Immediately it’s clear what his preference is.

“On the other hand...” Erwin continues, “Levi might murder us all...”

“A worthy death for a soldier...” Mike shrugs.

“Oh no... I really don’t think we should...” Moblit stutters. Nanaba notes that he is very sweaty.

Looks are exchanged and it has been decided. With a heavy hand, Erwin slams open the bathroom door.

There’s a scream that’s only stopped when Levi slaps his hand over Hanji’s mouth.

“What?” Levi snaps, as if they had been trespassing.

“You’re in my bath...” Erwin says, equally matter of fact.

“Your bath is the nicest...” Hanji offers.

“You’re in my bath... Together...” Erwin raises a brow.

“As Captain of the Survey Corps, you said it was my duty to supervise the cleanliness and hygiene of the soldiers,” Levi murmurs, sinking lower into the bubbles, hands coming to cover Hanji up. Absolute gentleman.

“This is a very unique means of supervision, Captain...” Erwin smirks.

“Whatever gets the job done, Commander...” Levi spits the last word.

Behind him, Mike and Nanaba high five. Finally. Some catharsis. They called it. They all called it. Levi and Hanji were a thing. This is absolute proof. No one can tell them otherwise now. Ha! Take that! Moblit has averted his eyes. Nothing in this world can compel him to look.

“Excuse me ladies...” Hanji clears her throat, shifting uncomfortably against Levi, “I am very naked, and to be honest with you, the water is starting to get cold... Soon I will be freezing my tits off... So could we please continue this at a more convenient time?”

“Whatever you say m’lady...” Erwin tips his imaginary hat.

“Fuck you...” Hanji narrows her eyes at him and mutters under her breath. Great. They can never use Erwin’s bath again. What alternatives are there? The cadet showers maybe? The piping is really new there, that means there’s a whole lot of hot water. Probably not. They don’t need a part two of this happening.

“Hanji san! We need to seek approval for-“

Everyone’s jaw is agape. Armin’s hands have flown to cover his face, “my virgin eyes...” he’s murmuring repeatedly.

“Why wouldn’t you close the bathroom door!” Sasha shouts accusatorily. Now the bunch of them are standing awkwardly in Hanji’s room, averting their gaze from the adjacent bath. Should they leave now? They really should. But there are forms that need filling.

“Why wouldn’t you guys knock!” Hanji retaliates.

“You always ask us not to!” Connie shoots back.

Oh, Hanji winces, she did in fact tell them to just enter because half the time she’s too engrossed in whatever it is she’s doing to hear.

“What the fuck do you want brats?” Levi has sunk all the way down the bath, the water now grazing his chin.

“We would like to seek permission from Hanji san to go to the town on Monday for supplies...” Armin pipes up, eyes still squeezed shut.

“Permission granted! Now go!” Levi shouts.

Sasha sees the opportunity and ceases it, “we would also like to request for the weekend off for recreational purposes! Sir!”

“Don’t push it Braus!” Levi snaps.

Darn it.

“Anything else? Or would you guys like to run through your entire schedules for the next two months with me while you’re at it? It’s not like I’m in the bath naked or anything ha-ha!” Hanji guffaws. It’s so painfully awkward her body literally cannot conjur anything rational to do. They have both slid so far down the tub that she’s practically lying atop Levi, his crotch against her butt making her blush up a storm.

“Why are you in the bath with Captain Levi?” Mikasa asks. Everyone stares at her.

“Mikasa!” Armin exclaims. They absolutely do not need more time in this tiny room with their two naked superiors.

“Hanji is filthy. I’m cleaning her. What’s abnormal about this situation?” Levi deadpans.

“I can’t reach my back! It’s a practical arrangement!” Hanji chuckles, “it’s not like we’re dating or anything!”

“My parents are married and they don’t even do this...” Sasha murmurs.

Jean has had enough. His face is so red he feels like he’ll die if he doesn’t stop this nonsense. This is a conversation that never needed to happen. “Permission to be dismissed from this conversation!”

“Fuck! Finally! Permission granted Jean!” Hanji says, throwing her hands up in despair.

Everyone shuffles out the door, and Armin bumps against the frame multiple times because his eyes are still shut. Levi and Hanji let out a collective sigh. Good lord Armin!

“Uh... Okay... Bye mom and dad...” Eren stutters, how does one leave this situation on a good note because this isn’t it, “I mean... Captain... Squad leader...” he gathers his jaw from where it has hit the ground and leaves with the others.

Hanji laughs awkwardly and turns to Levi, “remember when Erwin and the others saw-“

Levi’s face is red, and the blush has now spread to his neck. Thankfully the kids are gone. Another moment longer and most of the bubbles would have popped. He tsks and cuts Hanji off, “I would very much not like to remember that... Or this...”
