also after listening to the entire album w my earbuds I finally have my fav songs 🤓☝️ which are def selfish waltz (jongho adlibs 🤤) and enough (just. the best vibes ever)! iomt follows behind them and bonus points bc of the viola in it 🤌 (I have been playing for 12 years, that is For Me). then comes deep dive which would 100000% be my Favorite if not for the really abrupt ending :( a final chorus would have tied it all together and made it 🤌🤌. and then I just unfortunately don't super care for man on fire 🥲 it is too atmospheric for me, However the chorus is incredibly good. it reminds me of one of my fav ag*st d songs, burn it.

Whiskeys & Cigarrettes dude….. like, the guitar, the chorus, is just so 😮‍💨🤌 feels homey, like I’m sitting in somebody’s porch singing this, very Texan, the feelings are immaculate with this one, this was my personal favorite

Rattlesnake,,, I have to be honest, I wasn’t expecting it to be like that, it’s really soft and the melody is something I enjoyed a lot in this song, feels very freeing, open and so calm at the same time, there’s something about the voice too, nostalgic I liked that

AFHF23 RECAP

thought I'd share my day for everyone (and future me).

so the alarm was at 6am bc my mom had to drive me to the train station to catch the 1st train of the day towards bologna so I woke up early and packed my giant backpack for the week (which I had to buy new bc my old one broke literally the day before rip) and then got on the train! then after 1h i arrived and switched train to get to Florence where me and @riverswater walked around and saw the city before catching yet another train to go to the city where our accommodation was and leave the bags. then we got ANOTHER train from there back to Viareggio and from there then we anxiously waited for the bus with other girls who were also going to the festival. the bus was late but it did arrive and the bus driver must have been driving ppl there the whole day bc he told us where to get off before we even asked him anything sjsj after 15min we FINALLY arrived at the venue 🥳🥳 (it was like 6.30pm lol) and there I met up with @tanktop-lou (trusted louis show companion) and @dahliaaz who I met for the first time irl !!

inside the festival ppl were mostly spread out bc there were only a few people already pressed at the front of the stage (those that had entered first) everyone else was sitting around in the grass or in the areas under the pine trees with the fairy lights and the hammocks! and there were LONG lines at the merch stand and food stands ahsh so it was a pretty chill atmosphere and when I got there there was a dj set by abbie (I think) who played mostly rock and indie hits that everyone knew so everyone was dancing and singing along! obviously everyone got up for mister brightside (white ppl anthem! skjs)

after that the cribs played their set and they were really good !! I liked their songs from the afhf Playlist already and they had a really good energy live and their sound was great! and they kept thanking louis which was very nice! check them out if you haven't!

we also saw lottie and lucky in the terrace bc they were right above us and it was so weird to see them irl like what?? they exist?? crazy ahah but she's really pretty (and short!) and lucky is so cuteee! we also saw Isaac Michael (he IS hot tbh) Oli (!!!) Matt and Chris (booo) and all the girlfriends or wives

then we saw the blossoms set which I also enjoyed although I think I enjoyed their music more from the album version lol but the guy was really trying to get the crowd going so A for effort sjdj I Also liked his 70s hair and look! he kept thanking the wrong city but that's OK skgkj

then ( ~9.20pm ) there was another dj set and at this point everyone was just ready to see louis tbh zjgkh by now the crowd was bigger and getting tighter and ppl were mostly standing. also it had gotten dark which made the place and the lights even prettier

then finally and with only 15min of delay (!!) the band started to take their places and the intro started and then FINALLY the guy we'd all been waiting for took the stage woooo !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (the build up in the intro is so good it really feels you with anticipation! great job steve!)

this year I hadn't been watching the lives for the months before the shows like last year bc it was all in north America so I didn't know the setlist by heart and I have to say it was fun to be surprised every time ! and to experience the live versions of these songs without having heard them many times before!! I really enjoyed that! plus he went a little crazy with the setlist so by the time he did Saturday so soon I was like ok lol ANYTHING can happen tonight skdjkd and it DID! Never in the world would I have expected PARADISE!! as soon as I recognized it I was like OH NO!! I should have listened to this more RIP! at least I knew the chorus skdjkd and it was really fun live !! really went well with the rest of the setlist which was FIRE🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻 probably my fav of the shows of his I've been to! all the songs were so high energy and the crowd around me was as well ! we all jumped and screamed most of the night and it was just so fun! and as always the music was so good like all the added drums and guitars in live arrangements are amazing !! my fave is probably OOMS live it's just SO GOOD from the bass intro to the drums it's just the best! also I'm happy I got to hear 7 again bc it's SUCH a good cover and even tho not everyone knew it (😒 embarrassing) I sang along the whole time sksk and he was obviously great at it! I'm also super happy that he kept BTY bc the new version is fantastic!!!! I LOVE the way he sings the first lines so much!!!!!! and it's great to sing you fuck me up you kill me !!!! all together lol let's all scream about that toxic person<333333 bonding experience! then there were also the heartfelt moments like walls which is always so beautiful especially bc live it becomes such a significant moment of pride and love we all experience together and with louis ♡♡♡ I love him sm. also copy is SO good live like it's just so perfect for that setting and is still one of his best songs tbh

louis was so alive and hyped up the whole time he was having the time of his life !!! you could see how happy and proud he was :'))) and he went down in the front even before the last songs !! it was really fun bc everyone got super squished to the side and the front every time lol (I'm sad he didn't go back enough where I was closer but it's okay shsh) anyways it was just great to see him like that especially bc this time I was close enough to actually be able to see him with my eyes the whole time without having to watch the screens like last time in Milan so it felt more "live" in a way to me , more real I guess. (I'd love to be at the very front one day but I don't have the energy for that quest 😭)

it was extremely hot the whole time (louis would have been less hot if he wore shorts but ok!!!) and ngl the crowd was SMELLY by 10pm but it was so good it didn't even matter lol

the set ended at around 11.45 I think? and then we all sang along to we are the champions which was another prideful moment <3

and then me and rhei made our way back to our bus where unfortunately a bunch of dumb fans also were lol but in the end we made it home by 1am and finally went to bed at 2am with sore throats, music ringing in our ears and hearts full!

10/10 would do it all again!

and like then she sees Billy and the band in the crowd (since they have like VIP or high passes it’s easier to see them in the crowd)

bare with me, i had a long day working and studying and all my two braincells left can do is singing "addict to you- addict-" and thinking about that very specific frame of yoojung from the dOpamine mv (more on this later).

not a single bad song in this album i fear.

went straight into my sci-fi dystopian cyberpunk playlist. the sound is sooo cool to me!! it's giving ateez ngl (affectionate). love the fact that it's not too rough on the ears and has that airy (?) ending. i've replayed it an embarrassing amount of times already... watch it being one of my most played songs this month 💀

since the preview i suspected i was going to enjoy this title track a lot and more than seOul drift, and i was right! i really like the contrast between the industrial sounds and percussions of the verses reminiscing of chrOme hearts and the guitar in the pre-chorus and bridge (that made me levitate btw). the build-up is nice 😌👌 it's on the ooo chillier side aka perfect for me yay

the sound is giving alternative rnb (too tired to know for sure), so i was sold already 😋 she's the brighter sister of "mirage", the toxic one of "suit dance", and the chiller one of "gaslighting". she sits at the same table of "time machine", "desert" and "heartbreak terminal", and i love this for me because i love all these songs 😎

i might be completely wrong about all the associations above though ... my mind is playing a mashup remix of all of them at this point lol

Ranking TripleS' Performante songs after having bought their album (my opinion, no hate 👽)

1. Vision

One my personal favourites! And very underrated - from what I've seen on tiktok.

It's groovy, funky and upbeat which is rlly what I love. The electric guitar/bass (I'm not educated on instruments) makes me wanna dance like a white girl when there's coleslaw at the function.

Also the last 'so we can fly' being airy is so 😍.

Overall, the song is an 11/10 for me and was an instant hit for me when the album dropped and proud to say I claimed it when the highlight medley came out. Bonus, Sohyun being a part of the production for this song makes sense why I hype up this song everytime. She does NOT miss!

2. Éclair

TripleS and their French... they did it again. They ate! And with the lalala's too!

I love the weird little sound in the back of the chorus. Reminds me of that one guy that had the tube in his mouth and sang with it on 2020 tiktok.

Also the bridge is HEAVILY underrated cuz why am I seeing no one talk about it on Tiktok? I'm a sucker for cool rap sections 😪

I give this song an 11/10 too cuz it's just so perfect.

3. 12 Rings

At first, I was a bit weary when the highlight medley came out, but after a few listens I fell in love with 12 Rings.

The high, light and airy notes paired with a complementary song = absolute masterpiece.

Can we also talk about the harmonisation in the chorus? Cause I swear I started ascending to a different dimension?!

Just a chill song that I'd listen to at night when reading fanfics, a solid 10/10

4. Choom

This song makes me want to go on a run or a joyride with how upbeat it is.

The riffs/guitar with the drums pairs so so SO well with this song. I'd kiss this song if possible. The vocals too?! 🤌 the small outro with the lalala's definitely gives the song the closure it needs.

Overall, a song that I could get my friends into, so I'd say a 8.5/10

5. Bionic Power

The song I was most hyped up for ever since it was one of the songs that we could vote for, for Assemble24. When the announcement for track came out, I jumped in joy seeing Bionic Power.

After hearing this song, I'm glad this was a b-side instead of the ot24 title track since it doesn't give that tt-vibe. But I'm so grateful it's giving to Vision@ry Vision since it fits their vibe perfectly.

I still listen to this song everyday because I'm in love with it. Also Yubin's part in verse 1?!?! 😍 I be shaking my ass to this song ngl

But, I wished the song was more harsher and hard hitting similar to the demo/snippet from Assemble24 gravity since I (and other WAVs) think it would've sounder much better. But I guess it was to let their voices be heard more? Still, I would've preferred the louder beats but we still got Bionic Power 🙏 also wish they included the 'Te Quiero' part from the demo, wanted to see their Spanish side come out.

This song is a good 8/10 in my books. Very well but could be improved!

Bonus: I need someone to release a bass-boosted version of this. I need my loud Bionic Power back 😩

6. Hit the Floor

For a title track, I enjoyed it!

Nothing too special but was a very solid and one of my favourite tt's of TripleS (below Generation and Girls' Capitalism)

I already learnt the chorus after the first few days of it releasing.

The final chorus' vocals in the back gave me Supernova by Aespa which I really liked.

Basically a pretty good title track! I still listen to it daily and do the dance with my fingers and imagination, so it's a 7.5/10!

7. Atmosphere (VV ver.)

I don't really mind this song. Don't get me wrong, it's good but personally, it's nothing too special and doesn't stand out for me.

I do like how they moved the beginning of the demo around from when Lovelution and Evolution performed for their special stages to the bridge instead since it does fit better imo.

Personally, it doesn't really catch my attention, but I'm sure after more listens, I'll enjoy it more. So it's 7/10!

8. Love Soseol

Sorry Love Soseol, but unfortunately, ur last place for B-sides for me.

Not that I have a problem with this song, it's just that I don't really find myself wanting to listen to Love Soseol. In the off-chance I do, I like it. But if I had to go thru my playlist, I'd pick the songs above in the list over this song (no hate)

What I do like about this song is that it's a chill song that also makes me wanna go on a joyride!

It's definitely a calmer version of Choom which I do love, but nothing too special for me. I give it 6.5/10 sadly.

9. Visionary Vision - Outro

I'm a sucker for TripleS' intros and outros, and it was super hard for me to choose between which one I preferred more. But I decided the outro is better.

The outro gives me underground vibes, don't know how to explain.

I can see this being a more fleshed out song (if it were made) and it just attracts me more since I prefer their outros compared to their intros in their other albums for some reason.

I rlly loved and vibed with this album and listen to it daily cuz I gotta stream them!

I'm grateful that most of my bias line (Naky, Kaede, Sohyun and Xinyu) was in this sub-unit and that Hyerin (my ult bias) was voted leader! I'm proud to say I was one of the Hyerin voters and advocator 🗣🔥 (I contributed 1 como)

Like this play on sounds between the Korean and English lyrics in DNA.

In the chorus, when Jk sings 'geokyeonhajima love', he's singing 'Don't worry love' but with the syllable 'ma' right before love, it is easy to hear it as 'my love'.

And this isn't a happy accident because the way they sing the line - there is a small break before 'ma', and 'ma' is then strongly emphasized on so 'ma love' is made to sound like one cohesive phrase.

When Jin sings the same line at 2:01 later, he enunciates 'ma' practically like the English word 'my' with an 'I' at the end. JINIUS.

"Because all of this is not a coincidence" It's not yall.

With the priming of 'ma~ love~' from chorus earlier, at V's line in the bridge (2:49) 'dorabojimara' using the same melody, it sounds like he's saying 'my love' too. It's pretty easy to mistake 'mara' as the English words 'my love' because 'L' and 'R' sounds are pronounced interchangeably in Korean depending on where the consonant is. V there pronounced it (pretty clearly to me) as "ma~ la~" and Jin's line 'huhoehaji mara baby'? Oof my man dragged out 'MAAALAAA' with the angels in heaven in tow like it was necessary.

So why was this crappy Korean language lesson suddenly in session in the middle of a Jinkook traces post?

To tell you that Jinkook were thinking exactly along the lines of 'my love' while singing at each other:

Well, my mood is always different, so some days I skip every song in my playlist, but I'm in love with Hozier and Bear McCreary's "Blood Upon the Snow" from God of War: Ragnarok. Such a beautiful song with an orchestral chorus, my favorite kind of music.

I don't know if that's something to be proud of

Dolly Parton might be my favorite celebrity ever—not even kidding. she is genuinely such a kind hearted women and is always giving back. she is one of the only reason i’m proud to come from where i do lol. i don’t think a lot of people know all the things she’s done because she doesn’t brag about them, but she is truly an icon! and if any of you ever come over to my neck of the woods i have to advise you to go visit her theme park, Dollywood. you HAVE to get some fresh made cinnamon bread with the apple butter & icing !! you will NOT regret it 🙏🏽 and right beside it is her water park, Dollywood Splash Country. they sell hella dippin dots at both of them btw😩 anyways i’m rambling now, but i love Dolly Parton and i wish more people knew how amazing she is.

Ahhhh 1989 (Taylor’s Version) !!!!

This is the first Taylor Swift album that I remember all the build up for it and then when it actually came out. I do vaguely remember red but I was only 5 so I wasn’t very invested in everything and my mum bought me the CD for Christmas and also fearless. But then with 1989 I was 7 and I remember when blank space was released and getting really excited when it was played at a friend’s birthday party. And then in early 2015 at my street dance groups showcase my class did a dance to shake it off. So yeah 1989 is when I truly became a swiftie and being actively involved rather than just listening to a CD my mum bought me.

I’m currently listening to it and yeah here are my thoughts..

Welcome to New York- slayed. Yeah this song has always been a vibe and it still is

Blank space- there’s something different about the percussion and I love it. I’m remembering when this first came out and loving it and the music video and I feel really nostalgic.

Style- oh yes the guitar 🤌!!!! I feel so cool listening to this in the car. Why does this song feel so magical?!!! Yes slay

Out of the woods- this was my fourth favourite on the original (if we ignore the deluxe version bc I don’t own that CD) so I have high hopes. OH YES! The BRIDGE! My favourite so far! I’m so sad this isn’t on the eras tour set list

All you had to do was stay- love it! The vibes and beat drop at the start of the chorus is yes. Yes Taylor I will be staying. This wasn’t one of my favourites originally and I don’t think this has changed how I feel about it but still it’s a vibe and I love it.

Shake it off- I’m scared. I have so many memories attached to this song from hearing for the fist time when I was 7, watching the music video, rehearsing the dance I was preforming in a show to this, actually doing the performance and doing a round off with my best friend, and a couple of months ago dancing to this with friends at prom. Okay I will actually listen to it now. The DRUMS. IM IN LOVE. I WILL BE HAVING A DANCE PARTY WHEN I GET HOME. AHHH THE BRIDGE. Okay yeah I don’t really know what to say I loved it

I wish you would- this was my third favourite on the original so yeah. Ooo the guitar interesting… Yeah I love this. The vibes 🤌 tbh I think I’m just sad about saying bye to the original

Bad blood- I think this might be moving up in my original ranking of this album… (it was pretty low and I’m not sure why) all I can think about is Selena Gomez vibing to this rn 😂 the music video is beautiful though. I think I love this song even more now

Wildest dreams- this has been out for ages so I don’t have anything to say other than 💞

How you get the girl- I did not like this when it came out in 2014 but I did warm up to it so we will see… The bass is helping me like it more. I like the change in how the music sounds. If this was what was released in 2014 then 7 year old me would have gotten over that fact they didn’t like the lyrics (I like them a lot more now). Me gusta más 👌

This Love- same for wildest dreams- one more thing. I will never not think of the summer I turned pretty when I listen to this and it pains me slightly as a member of team Jeremiah

I know places- this was my favourite on the original so I’m very scared. So far so good. I like it. Taylor you are not disappointing. IM SO LEARNING THE BASSLINE. AND WE RUNN!!! Yes I love I live I laugh (not really laughing more like crying but I was trying to be funny)

Clean- so this was my second favourite on the original but it was my favourite up until I was 14 ( I’m not really sure why i suddenly liked I know places more but yeah. I also don’t know why I loved clean so much especially when I was 10 like genuinely who hurt me?? 😂 -I think I might have an idea but we are not going that deep into my emotions today-) okay here we go. Oh my GOSH. This is everything! I might cry. The ahhh before the final chorus was not as long as I would have liked but I still love everything. Oh YES the ending.

Wonderland- now I go through phases with this song where I either love it and would die for it or I’m just like meh. And this changes A LOT.

YES YES YES. I’m very excited to finally have this on CD. I’m very happy with this. Someone just called me in the middle of it 😭. Okay still vibing. She better deliver with the vocals. YEAH!

You are in love- did I love this the first time I heard it? No. However it grew on me but only recently so I’m not sure what’s going to happen.

It sounds almost exactly the same. Not complaining though, I do love it. Yes 🙌. Wasn’t my favourite song in the first place so I didn’t listen to the original enough to have a good comparison between the two but it was good.

New Romantics- words cannot describe how much I love this songgggg!!! Singing this in the car on the way to prom with my friends is one of my favourite memories so yes I am very scared

Nice getting louder. I like it so far 👍. Were those CHILDREN??? Who called kidz bop? The build up to the chorus just collapsed like I’m sorry but what was that?? Everything else is fine like I love it the vibes are YES but the children why?? It’s so quiet as well. I love everything but I feel slightly like I’m at a very intense club where they only play kidz bop instead of running through a forest in a long flowy dress. I’m a bit disappointed

So I think… I don’t know what I think but yeah that was pretty good. I have some issues cough New Romantics cough but also my headphone are shite and I really want new ones so I’m nearly home and I will listen to it on my CD which has hopefully arrived and will probably reblog this with a better conclusion than this. 👍✨🤌🩵
