The Bullied Bad Batch?
Here comes a controversial take...
But It kind of always rubbed me the wrong way to see the first episode of the bad batch and have this narrative that they have always been bullied by the other clones for being different, like some sort of Star wars Loosers club.
It really doesn't makes sense to me. Specially comparing them to their episodes in the Clone Wars.
For starters: Sure, they are called "defective clones"... but are they really? Nothing about their mutations gives them an actual defect or a weakness. The closest we have is Tech's intelligence being so great he is way to logical about everything and lacks in social interactions.
But other than that the fact that Hunter's heightened senses overwhelm him sometimes, or that Crosshair's eyes are sensitive to bright lights, or that Wrecker's Muscles are in constant pain are all fandom made.
They were not just "born defective" like 99 and the Kaminoans decided to let them out into the world see what happened. They presented "some" mutations and the Kaminoans enhanced said mutations to make them perfect soldiers.
They are an an experimental group sure, but they were treated as a clone comando squad, an elite group.
I find it very hard to believe that an "elite group" would be bullied for being "different". It's like saying the Delta Squad was bullied by the other ct troopers.
Not to mention, their actitudes in their clone wars episodes are more akin to bullies. They are arrogant, They pick up fights with the other clones, They undermined the other clone's thoughts, ideas and even abilities. They don't follow orders and do things their own unorthodox way. Hell! even the "Reg" name they give regular clones sounds almost like an insult or a slur.
So why did we suddenly pass from: "They are just Regs, they cannot compare with us" to "The regs are calling us names, we have no friends in the school cafeteria." ???
-But Weaponeer! - I hear you say - They are called the Bad Batch because they were born defective.
And to that I say, NO. They are called "Clone force 99" because they were born with mutations (like 99). They call themselves "The Bad Batch" because they are a group of edgy, rebellious, younger clones that are aware they are different from the rest.
Let's not forget that deleted scene where we learn the Bad Batch had some nose art of a sexy Padme. That reads: "Born to be Bad."
Just so you can understand their actual energy.
That said, I think the writers should have kept the Bully Bad Batch on their series. At least on the first episode, when they are still in the GAR.
IMAGEN THIS:
The Bad Batch is an experimental group that is very important for the Kaminoans. So much so that they are given preferential treatment over regular clones, even comando clones.
They have their own personal barracks, They have their own ship that is theirs, They are allowed to do as they wish during missions since Kaminoans want to test them and record their evolution.
The Bad Batch know they are the Kaminoan's favorites, so does the regular clones and they hate it.
To regular clones it feels unfair. They are the ones that run into the battlefield and fight endless hoards of droids daily just to have this bunch of reckless clones rush in, do whatever they want, explode something and receive all the praise.
Not to mention that The Bad Batch is not nice about it either, they are arrogant, they boast, they call the other clones "regs" and compare their superior abilities to the rest constantly, almost like they forget they are clones too.
Worst part is, the Regs can't really do anything about it. Pick up fights with them always ends up badly. Wrecker is strong enough to send any reg to the med bay with one punch, Hunter can always anticipate punches and Crosshair has excellent aim when throwing the cafeteria trays.
The only one there that does not condone the behavior of his peers is Echo. Despite being a Reg he was accepted by the Bad Batch thanks to his unusual appearance and skills, but Echo is constantly trying to stop them from being mean to his other brothers. Not that it does much as the Bad Batch still see Echo as the "newbie" despite him being an ARC trooper.
But they are not bad people, they do have a sense of duty and honor like any other clone and they wouldn't really cause real harm to an ally. They see Omega and treat her with care, after all she is a young girl and they are not animals. They see the "insurgents" they were sent to kill and of course they cannot do that! Killing innocents? that's not what they do!
When they rebel from the Empire and go AWOL their whole world comes crashing down.
They no longer have the protection of the Kaminoans, they are no longer the favorite clones, now they are the traitors, hunted down not only by the whole empire but by one of their own.
This sudden change would make the batch wake up and turn from unruly teens to mature adults.
Hunter now has to be the mature leader and guide his team to safety in a harsh galaxy that keeps getting more and more dangerous. He has to be more careful, to a point that he is almost afraid of taking risks, specially since he has Omega to worry about. It would give him some character arc in which he passes from being carefree, to overly cautious, to learning to balance both.
Tech would learn that even though he has all the theory, he doesn't have all the practice. Nothing is as easy as just saying it, and things that he used to take for granted are now being mayor issues.
Echo's knowledge of the galaxy and skill would be more useful to his peers, but his tendency to distrust causes him problems in the long run. Not to mention he would still not be happy about sitting down doing nothing while his brothers are suffering at the hands of the Empire.
While Wrecker is having the hardest time adapting to their new life, being the more immature of the bunch. He learns that he cannot be as reckless as he has always been during their time in the GAR, specially when they have Omega to worry about.
That's Right people! MORE CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT! I think it would have been interesting to see that sort of dynamic.

If you reached all the way down here thank you for reading ♥
And may the force be with you.

Hi hey hello. I've been watching Miraculous since September, and I just finished.
WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH THIS FANDOM?
That finale was amazingly well-made. I definitely get why people were disappointed, but there's no way that's everything. The writers who made the rest of the season so good are not capable of writing something this confusing and unsatisfying, unless it's on purpose. This story isn't done.
There has been a lot of focus in the season on class dynamics, but in the last couple of episodes they really start bringing this theme of how people deal with power to the forefront
With Ladybug and Chat deciding not to do anything against Chloe because it's not their responsibility even though they have the power to do it, everything with Lila, the increasingly reckless and harmful ways Gabriel is manipulating people because he thinks he gets to decide what is good for others, Gimmi complaining that no one ever summons them to tell them anything good and only summon Gimmi to use Gimmi's power.
And the thing that brings it together: Marinette's speech right at the end, just before Gabriel makes the wish, when she says the power is only valid when it's used for the greater good of other people.
And then the statue of Gabriel. Right after all of this, a statue commemorating the man who refuses to use his power for the good of others. The dissonance is on purpose. This story is thematically incomplete, and I think the London special will finally wrap it all up.
What does the fandom come away from this talking about? How interesting this all is and wondering how it gets resolved? No. The fandom on the subreddit (and some of them on Tumblr) say "The villain won without consequences! This is bad writing!" and "Why is Marinette not telling Adrien he's a sentimonster?".
I just. How do you watch that and come away with your biggest concern being "Marinette didn't tell Adrien the truth"? How do you not see that it's so much bigger than that? That's not one dangling plot thread, we're looking at an unfinished garment and complaining that the edges are fraying.
And a good portion of the fandom cannot for the life of themselves see the loom and the people working it still going. I don't know how to stretch this metaphor any further, but I cannot believe that anyone would look at something so blatantly incomplete and still treat it like it's the entire picture. It's a microcosm of a bigger issue with the fandom, which is, as far as I can tell, that this fandom wants to watch a different show. Seasons 4 and 5 are so vastly different from seasons 1 and 2, and I think the people that came here to enjoy the first two or three seasons but hated the later ones are angry with the show for not following the traditional kinds of stories in the genre.
This show isn't trying to be an episodic or somewhat serialized story about love squares and middle school nonsense. It's a deep and varied exploration of what being a magical girl does to a 14 year old (in addition to many other things), and it's not pretty. The show is trying to say "this was terrible for everyone, and it shouldn't have happened, but it did, and here's how". And most people didn't want that, which is fair. But it doesn't mean the show is badly written, nor does it mean the writers hate certain characters. It pisses me off that a show this well made, with so much time and effort and care, is constantly dismissed as a badly-written, disorganized piece of crap that people only like ironically. Something this well made deserves a more neutral presentation to let people form their own opinions, and it deserve appreciation for the innumerable things it does well, especially in later seasons and the specials.
In summary, Miraculous isn't bad. A vocal part, maybe even the majority, of the fandom just wanted something else based on the first 3 seasons, and hasn't realized it because they're so devoted to hating on the show. And it deserves a much better reputation than it has.

This is SO late, but I just have to say my piece on the Loki Series and Mobius (both derogatory).
The only good part of the series was when Loki landed in the Gobi Desert and flicked away his gag, after that, all the gentrification, oocness, and other stupidity began for me. The way he would never say 85% of those lines, and how he was made to be so “quirky” via humiliation after the Battle of New York?
Mobius is so fucking far up his own delusions, like he basically watches other realities and people through screens, he only socially interacts with other TVA staff, is friends with one of the main fascists in charge, etc.
His fucking “I’m a nice guy” act makes me want to fucking punch him all the more harder.
In some ways, I have more respect for that TVA officer in Roxxcart being like “they’re all going to die” and Loki for say that also in Pompeii, than Möbius’s meandering holier-than-thou bullshit of basically softening the blow with “good taste” by distracting a little girl with candy as he blows up her timeline.
People hate on Brad for his treatment towards Loki, but love on Mobius for that v similar treatment. Talking down to him, condescending him as not a threat, calling him privileged and harmless and basically saying that he knows Loki better than he knows himself.
I will be forever be disgusted and spiteful that Mobius never got treated as nearly much contempt as Brad and Renslayer, nor did he have something horrible happen to him because of Loki.
Like he just EMBODIES the naive, starry-eyed fool that arrogantly thinks he’s an expert on someone but will never get out alive once meeting that someone.
It was far more interesting to me to see Loki in captivity in “Avengers” and “Dark World” (both had flaws for me) acting like Hannibal in “Silence of the Lambs” than the bullshit I saw in the Loki Series. And “Dark World” also let him have some more vulnerability without completely demolishing his dignity and character.
I got up to the episode after they met He Who Remains, and I don’t think I’m going to finish this mess.
So sorry for seeing this months later. Thank you for the ask! Honestly… The second I pressed play the first episode of the series when it came out in 2021, I just knew that… this is going to be really bad. When he first walked into the tva, I was bewildered at how out of character he was. This is Avengers 2012 Loki we’re talking about! He would not say that shit. Instead of his usual dry, sarcastic, old englishy-esque way of talking and humor, it was, as you perfectly put it, very… “Quirky.” He wasn’t even that “quirky” in Ragnarok!
Exactly! The “I’m a nice guy” thing about Mobius has always irritated me so badly. I’ve really never liked him, and was surprised to see such a positive reaction. The negative reaction to Sylvie, I expected of course, But… they’re both bad! Wish people would understand that.
Yeah.. the double standards with Brad/everyone else, and Mobius are so annoying. Why is it okay for Mobius to continuously belittle Loki, throw him into a time loop where he is repeatedly physically assaulted, mock the death of his mother, and all the other bullshit he put Loki through just because you want them to be together romantically? And… this isn’t even some toxic relationship “turned better” situation. They don’t even acknowledge the shit Mobius has done to Loki!
People don’t even talk about the other bad things Mobius has done. It’s a series about people being mislead and morals being questioned, yet… so called fans don’t get into any of it at all. Just ship discourse, and fanon. If I liked the series… I think I’d get into the themes of chaos versus order, the people of the tva being mislead and lied to, etc… But they don’t even do it in the series as everything is a second thought, and doesn’t match up. The writers don’t care, and neither does the fandom.
Agreed! Series fans always say that the belittling of Loki, and the underutilization/erasure of his past characterization is just him… “healing” and being “vulnerable”…. Loki has been vulnerable before after the events of Avengers 2012 (Tdw), and he still was him! It wasn’t an immediate switch in his behavior, and didn’t erase everything that made him, him!
The psychology of Loki’s character from Thor 1, to the dark world was so interesting, and even well done at times. I know a lot of people on this side of tumblr don’t love Tom that much after the series, but I truly do think he understood Loki very well, and portrayed him beautifully back in the day. There was so much care put into his characterization. He stood out from the snarky, quirky superheroes of the mcu.
I miss when it was understood that Loki’s character should reflect the origins in Norse myth. That he is not evil, nor good. Not that he’s strictly good, and not at all evil just because he’s suffered! He’s the god of mischief, chaotic in his nature. Not the god of anti hero with a shitty redemption arc!
Ugh, people are so blind to everything that happened with Mobius, because they’re too focused on shipping him with Loki. Some have the nerve to complain about the mischaracterization, while not realizing that their ship is mischaracterization as well! You can’t cherry pick.
Thank you for the ask!

INFO POST
Name: Kylee (they/them). 30+
A totally normal Korean American mostly known for my drawings, specifically my Pokemon nuzlocke comics. But I will talk about other things on occasion because I do have periods of being fixated on certain topics. I also am a doctor!
Interests: Pokemon, League of Legends (everything except the game lmao), Fire Emblem, Advance Wars, Animal Crossing, Mother series, Korean history/culture, character design
General FYIs:
General inquiries/commission work/etc should be sent thru kynimdraws [at] gmail [dot] com! Tumblr messaging/asks/etc is not 100% reliable
I will not follow NSFW accounts but I am fine talking/interacting with them. There may be suggestive shitposting but I like keeping my content on the SFW side
I am VERY picky about who I follow/interact with online. Fandom content in particular is a minefield for me aka I have many things I dislike and don’t want to see, even if it might be a popular thing in media that I otherwise enjoy. Therefore, I will unfollow/block/mute liberally. There are times I accidentally block a blog bc I mistake them for bots. So if you got hit with that, just send me an ask or email me
I am very open about what I like and dislike, and none of those things are a direct attack on your sensibilities. I have never gone out of my way to directly send hate or whatever have you if I end up seeing shit I don’t like. My complaints in my little online space ain't a personal attack on you.
My ask/submission box/DMs are open for criticisms if you have any issues you want to resolve in private. No one is perfect and I may have done ignorant shit that needs to be pointed out. I have deleted or edited posts in the past if people tell me what I did wrong. PS I get that some of my stuff may upset you, but try to act civil when pointing shit out please.
I try to tag all my things whenever I can. Again, send me a message if anything bothers you. I am all for good debate but if you send me excessive hate or threats bc I have different opinions about matters that are trivial, I will block/delete them.
If you wish to use any of my hcs, please credit me. And if you are comfortable with it, send me the works so I can check them out! Or @ me if that is easier.

FIRE EMBLEM FYI: Specifically for 3Houses/3Hopes because I need a separate one for this franchise specificially given how many crazy things I got due to being involved in this fanbase via my fanworks:
DO NOT try to convince me to like or tolerate Byleth/student ships, ESPECIALLY the ones with the lords (aka CIaude, Dimitri, EdeIgard). I already summarized why I don’t like FE3H Byleth ships with student chars here. While the spinoff game FEW3H has now removed that teacher/student problematic situation, the fandom keeps putting the FE3H elements into the FEW3H fanworks (i.e. remembering Byleth from “another life” trope)...so no thanks!! DO NOT SHOW ME IT!!!
As for the Byleth ships with faculty members, my response is here so don’t try to bait me about that topic either thanks.
I do not care whom you ingame S-support. 3Houses limits the dating-sim part of the game to that character, so I cannot care less about how you play the game. The main issue I have is when people treat Byleth the “character” as a legit ship material when I personally think they are a cool character ruined by fans who are too obsessed with badly executed self insert otome tropes bc they self-project super hard onto them. Just to be clear, any FE3H or FEW3H OC/Canon >>>>>>Byleth ships personally. Even Byleth-sonas that remove the teacher/student aspects are better than canon FE3H!Byleth
Please don't drag FE VA statements as some sort of “gotcha” on my opinions like this post here. IDC what other people prefer with ship shit, that’s their problem and not mine. I am not gonna bother them about it. So don’t bother ME about it.

towl being on best of list of 2024,Danai getting all the praises is what you wish Melissa got,us TOWL fans were well fed,we were treated like kings and queens and the biggest payoff aside Rick and Michonne having happy ending is the audience, critics loving the show you do,carols fans being constantly disrespected should be a genre of it's own at this point not just by the studio, but main actor of the show, showrunners, audience constantly dragging Melissa and praising the mediocrity that is Reedus, y'all are going through it,y'all have been going through it since 2012, can't relate, happy new year you're about to witness more disrespect when S3 rolls around, welp
I'm honestly so confused why any time someone says anything about TOWL that isn't super super praising, someone comes along to comment something belittling about the opinion the person shared. Why do you care if one person on the internet didn't love it as much as you did?
I didn't even tag what I wrote and it was a reblog of someone else's post. The reference I made to TOWL was tiny amongst a much longer message. All I even said was that I felt disappointed by it. And you still made the effort to read it all so you could find something to target me about? You make it like people can't breathe near a TV show unless they feel the exact same way you did. It's gatekeeping and it's ridiculous.
I watched The Walking Dead for 12 years before I ever heard from a stranger online. I talked about it with my real life friends. Michonne was my favourite character for years. I watched TOWL before I knew anything about the other spinoffs because that's what came to Now TV first, and I only watched them all in the last few months of this year. I didn't see anything going on online partly because I just wasn't part of the 'fandom' I guess - I was just watching the show offline, and partly bc I wasn't even paying attention to anything about the walking dead for the years between around season 7 and now.
I also don't understand why so many of you always comment stats and article mentions about how many people watched TOWL or a positive thing that was said about it. Do you expect that to change my mind? I just didn't enjoy it as much as I hoped I would. I don't particularly care if someone else voted for it to make a list or whatever. It was just disappointing to me. Dead City was also disappointing to me, but nobody is coming along to imply I'm not allowed to talk about that show? Please literally leave people alone. I really don't know what you think you're achieving by sending messages like this, but from my pov, all it seems to do is create a completely unnecessary divide in the fandom about who likes what character more.
Every time one of you sends a message to me like this, I always say that I'm genuinely happy for you that you got everything you wanted from it. Why do you all have to be so mean to other fans?
I love Michonne. I like Rick. I love Carol. I loved Daryl. I love Danai, I love Andrew Lincoln, and I love Melissa McBride. All things can be true at the same time. Just bc I happen to currently be more invested in any of their characters doesn't mean I'm not allowed to speak about any of the others.
I'm glad you can't relate to feeling like one of your favourite characters and actresses is sidelined. I mean, I think it would be more helpful if you tried to empathise with the situation, rather than acting like it's a competition. But I am genuinely glad that Michonne and Danai have been treated with more respect. That is one of the things that I did like about TOWL. I liked that a lot and I LOVE that Danai wrote an episode. When I talk with my friends about what I liked in TOWL, that's something I go on and on about. If danai had been treated badly the way melissa has been treated, I'd be putting my energy into speaking up about that. You don't have to put your energy into being an ally for another woman in the industry, but please do try to stop actively spreading unkindness.
It's really weird how you come here to tell me what I think and feel. I don't even know where to begin with the things you claim about why I didn't like TOWL or what I wish was different about TBOC. I wouldn't want critics to "love the show I do" because I didn't love it? I wouldn't want TBOC to have been anything like TOWL (other than the better treatment of danai bc I would have liked melissa to be treated more like that bc you know, that's just how someone should be treated?). I didn't like TOWL because I just didn't like it, so I wouldn't have wanted TBOC to be like that. It's honestly that simple.
It's not about jealousy because I simply do not see the characters or shows as in competition with each other. I don't know why so many of you are determined to make it a competition. I really, really don't.
I always see some of you commenting on the views of people who are clearly fans of carol. Why is that? Other people express less than ecstatic views about TOWL, but you only seem to make it a problem with the ones who happen to show they like Carol. And you always imply it's because of jealousy. I don't get it. But I really wish you would stop trying to create conflicts where they don't need to be. I try to avoid saying "it's just a TV show" because the way people are treated and represented matters, but when you seem to be trying to create needless conflict like this, I really can only think "it's just a TV show."
So, anyway, like I said, I'm genuinely glad you can't relate to feeling how I do because a TV show was the things you wanted it to be. I don't relate to your obsession with how other people feel about that TV show, though.
If you have a reason why you think the way you communicate with people online like this is important, I'd genuinely love to hear it and try to understand it. But to me, it just comes across like bullying. I'm not interested in making people feel bad. I just want everyone to be treated with respect. That includes people being allowed to share their views on a TV show without belittlement, actors being treated with respect, fans being treated with respect.
If it makes you feel better to say mean things about other fans, you're free to do that in your private messages with people who feel the same way you do. But please do not send those things to the people you want to be mean about. There's no need to be unkind.
Anyway, I know you sent this message with unkind intent and that your "happy new year" wasn't meant as a genuine kind wish, but I do hope you have a happy new year. Genuinely.

I don't know if I should be surprised at this point but that blatant need of armys to not vote for Taehyung is open atp and it's reflecting on numbers. With this kind of support I don't want to see being a part of something he get one liners. Like I love BTS as a group but to see a member so disadvantaged in the company in terms of song distribution, promotion and the fandom, I hope he choses less popularity but more autonomy. I understand they are all brothers but I also am well aware of Korean society thinking and sometimes that makes you feel guilty and accountable. Always this need to adjust for better of group and family.
I have no doubt of Tae's wisdom but I wonder if he understands he has options outside group too. That even if armys forsake him he still has people loving him. Maybe that's why he is trying to choose options which makes him at the forefront of investors and GP but I have no trust in the company. They will actively sabotage him. As a fan, I would always want him to leave things that are toxic for him but more than that I wish he always have choices. Any decision should not be based on simply adjustment.
Hi anon!
When bands split into doing solo work, you will always find that the fandom that formerly supported them as a group will also split up in a way. It’s just different tastes in music. For instance, you won’t find me listening to Namjoon’s music a lot, because it is not my taste in music. That doesn’t mean I don’t wish the best for him, but for me their music lies at the basis of me being a fan. Members know this and they even expect us to be fans because of their music. Fans should understand this as well. A huge part of army did actually support Tae, because his album was hugely successful. I think Tae’s fanbase rivals that of Jm and Jk in being the biggest.
Having said that. I don’t like BH and the way they treat Tae. I think he is not at the top of their list of importance. I think from Tae himself we also see that he doesn’t choose them because he likes it there. I do trust Tae’s judgement and decision making though. I think he has plans for the long run. Tae isn’t doing badly at all. He has options and I think after enlistment and the initial reunion the routes members will take individually will become clear. I always consider which options will be better than BH for him. And leaving BH won’t automatically mean that he’ll enter an environment that is less toxic. Personally I would not want him to go to one of the other big music companies in SK and I think smaller ones might not be able to handle an artist of his standard. I’m hoping he will take matters into his his own hands and create his own label in the future. If he does choose to stay with BH, I will also trust that he does so for reasons that matter to him. I think he himself knows what goes on in the industry better than any of us do, and I don’t think he will stay with them out of mere loyalty. I don’t worry about Tae. I think he will do great.
Edit: I don’t really keep track of these things, so I was not aware that armies actively go against Tae. That is ofcourse terrible and cannot be excused at all.

this is a rant, vent, jumble of words im feeling and need to get it out of my system because im a little done
please scroll along if you dont wanna read, or dont, i dont control you
it never ceases to amaze me just how cruel people in fandoms can be. cruel, mean, hyprocritical, straight up dumb.
dont get me wrong, these people are a minority. i have found myself amongst the best sort of people in fandoms i am a part of and couldnt be happier for the friendships i have made from them.
but this incredibly loud minority piss me off to no end. i stay away from any sort of discourse, silently watching from the background and watch thing blow up over trivial matters, and then learn who to avoid in those circles and move on with my life
but when i see, what i consider to be blatant bullying, to someone i hold dear, i dont want to be quiet anymore. im not a loud figure, im a tiny blog that loves to simp over 2d characters, a tiny stream channel that i interact with like minded people. and i mean i am TINY, im barely a blip on this wide web. so anything i say, it doesnt go anywhere, so still, i stay silent until i cant anymore.
so lets get to the crux of the matter.
if you dont like a character, you dont get to make others feel bad about liking them. i dont care if you think they are problematic, if you dont like their story, their look, or simply the fact that they exist
you dont get to make someone feel bad for finding a connection with them and loving them
you dont get to attack them about liking the character, passively or aggressively, you dont get to make fun of them and any of the work they do around them. you have no right to take it upon yourself and make someone feel like they dont belong just because they like a character that you dont
if you dont like the character, dont fucking interact, its that bloody simple. scroll away. mute the tag, mute the channel, whatever. just walk away
interacting with someones content for the pure purpose to make fun of it is cruel. you are making it public that you want to demean the person for what they enjoy. and the worst thing is, if you catch the attention of the younger audience, they learn that they get to act that way, and this kind of online activity only gets worse
it already has gotten worse. man, im a millenial and i thought keyboard warriors when i was in highschool and older where bad. these days the younger generation feel justified to think that they can say whatever they want and suffer no consequences of those actions. i see it in so many fandom discourses. its horrible
but they learn from the worst of us on the internet. the more they see the cruel interactions, the more they think its okay to act that way. and without a doubt, fandoms will end up being incredibly toxic environments that people wont feel comfortable to exist in anymore.
every fandom has a toxic space, its unfortunate but it is true. i wish it wasnt
and the smaller the fandom, the louder this toxic group is
it just fucking sucks. and watching people i care about be treated so badly hurts because all i can do is be their support. an ear, a shoulder, just someone they can vent to. but it doesnt stop the fact that they got hurt and i cant do anything about it

I'm tired of all the negativity and unfairness that is happening regarding the ifylita series. The fact that this drama is undoubtedly the very best bl production we got this year, yet sh*tty things keep coming and as a fan I'm done already.
Let's start from when Bright and Nonkul said since the very beginning that they won't be doing any fanservice or sell any ship just for the sake of making the series popular. This? This was brilliant, and I totally applauded them, because great actors like them don't need to do any of those things just to be relevant or successful. But of course, there was a big part of the fandom that was upset about this, saying that they should do fanservice for the series to become even more popular and whatnot. Things here were already becoming agitated.
Then, all the solo interviews that Bright was getting, in which all the questions were about the ship, fanservice, not a single question about his future work, his upcoming projects, nothing. It all revolved around that topic to the point that he had to clarify it with his most serious expression about how he doesn't want to grow his career based on a ship. And a ship that we all know won't be ever real because we are all aware of Nonkul's real-life relationship. So, even if they sold a ship, what would be the point? Nonsensical.
And here I have to talk a little bit about Nonkul's love life. I'm happy for him, congratulations to the couple, and I wish you all the happiness in the world, but the fact that he talked about this in not one, but two events which he attended with Bright, in which his co-star had to leave just so he can keep answering all those questions about his personal relationship... that's a no from me. There is a time and place for everything, and even he said that he would answer those questions during solo events which is alright, but then he did it again and... no. I respect him as an actor, and as a person, but those actions were not right.
And even after seeing how Thai media treats Bright, as if he's not there, as if he didn't star in the series, as if he's not one of the main cast in the drama... and they just keep disrespecting him, writing awful articles about him, never putting focus on his acting career, it's like they're all plotting to go against him.
Then we got the happiest announcement which was the special episode's date we were all waiting for, finally something to celebrate, right? Well, almost. Yes, it's great, and I bet the whole fandom is partying, but the fact that after that announcement we found out that Nonkul's upcoming drama is set to be released the day after ifylita's special episode??? What is happening? As far as I know, that drama was supposed to be expected for next year, but right after the special episode, really? Nobody can't tell me that this is not all plotted, nothing here makes sense. And of course, this is not Nonkul's fault, he's not the one who decides when the series is released, but this is too much. I'm actually speechless because he has another series going on right now (The Office Games), and another one is going to be released like??? Never seen this before, it's like they are not giving time to the audience to enjoy his current projects, and we all know they want to release this drama right now because of their real-life relationship.
Another thing: the constant topic about Bright and Nonkul hating each other's guts, where did that come from? Who started this? I even talked about this with a few ifylita fans during a podcast because we couldn't believe the sh*t that people were saying. I read this here, on Twitter, on Reddit, on Instagram, on TikTok, it's everywhere. People are just writing bullsh*t everywhere, discouraging people from watching the drama, saying that the main actors can't stand each other, and can't even breathe the same air, are you all okay out there?? At which moment did the actors express rejection to the other one? When did they ever talk badly about the other? Perhaps you are all expecting them to be best friends or something, and maybe they are just co-workers and that's it. Even Bright said they only talk about work, and that's alright, they do not need to have the deepest bond out there. If you have never worked once in your life, you won't understand this: work-related relationships rarely end in friendships, maybe you keep talking with some people, but real friendship? Yes, that's pretty uncommon.
And let me tell you that if they did hate each other, then why is Nonkul always talking about a possible second season? Would you want to work once again with someone you supposedly hate? Please, start using your brains for once. These two actors respect and support each other, stop making up things, we have enough already.
I'm tired mentally, and I'm done, I'll keep spreading the ifylita love everywhere because it has become my favorite bl series, I'll keep supporting the actors, but I'll ignore all drama that will happen in the future, because it has been a month since the series ended, and we haven't had a single peaceful day, and it's too much. I've seen plenty of people on Twitter wishing and praying that bad things would stop, and they don't, so on my part I won't involve myself anymore. We don't deserve this, we all just wanted to enjoy a great drama, not be angry, sad, and frustrated every single day. That's it.

yknow im probably going to sound a bit overdramatic for a moment with this sorry but,
ive said like two lore streams ago or w/e that im not going to let myself get as heated as i did at the start with how gun's been handling ( read : forgetting she exists ) maria all this time bc at this point i consider my portrayal of her an oc, as i essentially feel across the board with my other texas muses frankly but like.
i do think, while i was obviously thrilled to no end that they announced maria & she was playable etc, i do think the execution of her in-game really sincerely disappointed and pissed me off so badly. like yes end of the day shes a bunch of pixels etc etc whatever sure but its like. genuine frustration at how absolutely sidelined she has been since day one. and i know theres plenty of valid arguments for other characters receiving similar treatment ( ie. sonny ) in a variety of ways, and i do get the angle of maria initially serving as a haunting of the narrative, haunting her friends and sister and being more of that sort of invisible presence rather than physically there in the moment like they all are - but its severely disappointing to see just how little they give a shit about her, both in lore & in gameplay etc.
model-wise? shes completely fine i adore how she looks and everything shes beautiful shes adorable shes exactly as babygirl as i hoped and imagined her to be & look. but shes otherwise both so underwhelming and so borderline useless ( being generous ) and her ability is just the most uncreative pointless thing i feel they could have thought to give her. like. theres so many pieces i can rip apart for just that alone but i dont wanna yap for an eternity lmao
i just wish they gave an ounce of a shit about her. and like sure yes they could easily alter things or add on things on for her in the future etc. sure, yeah, fine and all but its just... i dont think im going to forget how sloppily put together they made her. or how they've consistently forgotten & disrespected her all these months. and with them branching away from her & the friendgroups' story into other victims' as time passes, their already sheer-ass attention spans are only going to grow thinner across the rosters and i guess in my eyes theyre just never going to make up for any of how they treated her character. and like yes thats fine bc i & others will do her infinitely better justice than they ever will but its still just like... its still disappointing.
like so much went wrong with that release day that i think i was just trying to cling onto the excitement of her just being playable but everything else, certain other complaints etc i wont get into, made me think that disappointment in how she was executed was an exaggeration on my part bc im too attached to her lmao and so i kinda just internalized the disappointment i think but it really is just like man. i feel like ive lowkey been in mourning of her since she was released. no faith at all that they are ever going to give her an ounce of dignity outside of how her model looks.
and again. i know i and the fandom do her infinitely more justice than they ever will at this point and that fact alone does make up for this all, i just wish she was remotely fun to play as and didnt feel like such a slapped together, zero-thought, near copy-paste non-asset in-game. i play her bc i love her but she also just makes me fucking sad LMAO
.
#sorry for random whatever this is its been eating away at the back of my mind since release day & only worsened while playing lately lol.#im literally so fucking thankful that ive been able to work on her for so many months & that ive had such lovely experiences building#her character from the ground up with this lil corner i love you guys so sincerely & bigly for helping her grow into the character#she is currently & will grow into in the future - i just wish gun would love her w even a fingernails worth of how much we adore her.#( 'mourning' is probably overdramatic as hell but its the word that comes to mind lmao ) like i know my expectations need to stay#reigned in w/ gun & i try to but it is just. discouraging as hell w/ her in-game & then the constant worsening state of the#game on top of it not helping in the slightest lmao. anyways sorry again ignore me im just thinking too strongly about my girl-#end of: im proud of where ive been able to take her & how ive built her over this nearing year of writing her & im beyond happy w/ the#connections shes made & the stories being built & all of it. shes my oc as she stands on this acct & i truly hope i keep#building her for a long while more. sorry if u read thru all this nonsense also thank u & kisses to the sky for loving my girl w/ me <3#we all do more than gun literally ever will with any of them.#gonna go lie down & prob cry a moment & then return to Normal and try to write FNJKSD

I swear, people will say the wildest things about any of the celestial family (mainly with Earth, tbh). Especially when it comes to how they treated Nexus. I’ve seen someone say that would still defend him even if Earth died because death is considered meaningless in that world and she would just come back anyway…
Yea, but i don't think Earth would have come back from that unless she had backups, and i don't recall if she did. Some people really are crazy in this fandom, and it worries me. Don't forget that KC hasn't come back, and he won't be back. His death is truly permanent. Unless they change that somehow, but in the past, the characters that died came back because there was still some of them left in some form after they died. Eclipse: his backups (and Ruin copying Solar's code for the clone), Moon: his automatic backup from the reset, Lunar: one surviving nanomachine, Solar: an Eclipse built up from his code which Ruin copied when he was still alive that gave him his dimensional signiture, Earth: didn't die but she was very badly damaged and needed a new body. KC had nothing left of him. No backups, and the blood twins tore him up well beyond salvageable.
I still think the people defending Nexus, even now, are worriesome though. He's a psychopath now. And even now he is indirectly causing problems for our Sun and Moon. He may be going through a psychosis break rn, or may have a virus, but that still does not excuse what he's done and what he plans to do. The past is irrelevant when people get into this state. I still want Nexus to be helped, and maybe saved, but i absolutely will not defend him for what he's done and is doing. The people who defend him, i am honestly concerned about. An abuser may have been nice in the past (genuinely or faked), but that does not excuse their abuse and their past actions are long since made irrelevant when they get abusive and don't work to be better again. Take it from an abuse survivor myself. Even if the nicest person in the world has a psychosis break and starts hurting people, they should not be allowed to get away with their actions even if they were nice in the past. Nexus is a threat. Plain and simple. He is not New Moon anymore. I genuinely hope that what is happening with him is due to a virus and once it's cleared, he changes back, but until then, if that even is the case at all, i will not defend someone who expressed clear intent to cause harm to others. His ex family, no less. I wish that would get through people's heads..
One can only defend someone for so long before they can't logically be defended anymore. Nexus reached that point with me a long while ago. And i wish people would quit saying his family abandoned him. They didn't. They (Sun and Earth) still expressed that they care for him, even now, but he must be treated like a threat until further notice. Nexus is the one who pushed them away and quit caring. He hid away, and he lied. It's hard knowing things as the audience but we should not blame the other characters for reacting in a reasonable way when they don't know what we know. Therein lies the issue. They only care about how Nexus was feeling, not the rest of the family as well. There is a full picture. They only seem to look at part of it from what i can tell..

I'm the anon talking about the apologies being one-sided. I think there's a bit of a misunderstanding happening lol, which is my fault for not being clear enough. I meant that the amount of apologies that each driver is doing is skewed heavily in one direction (Lewis'), not that George crashed into Lewis and didn't apologize. The incident with Valtteri rubbed a lot of people the wrong way, including me, and the fact that he was pressured by toto into making a statement and hasn't said sorry to Valtteri personally is nagl, coupled with the fact that he hasn't admitted any fault with the other incidents he had last year (or maybe he has and I didn't catch it? lmk. I think apologizing to the team is all fine and dandy but I mean specifically to other drivers). I think when people see one side of the garage regularly apologizing for various things whereas the other side is not doing so at all, it seems very unbalanced and unfair? Especially when you consider the current dynamics and politics at mercedes and how that is being perceived by the fandom atm (esp by Lewis fans). Also the racial element plays a role too, POC drivers will always be more pressured to make apologies for various incidents whereas the white drivers can get away with not doing so and that furthers the idea that Lewis is being unfairly treated.
I'm not saying that George has to bend over backwards and write long apologies on social media every time he makes mistakes but even a handshake or verbal acknowledgement in interviews that he was partly to blame for incidents he gets involved in with other drivers would be nice, and it would help lessen the public perception that he's arrogant and needs to be coddled by mercedes. I don't think he has to make a full on apology post for this instance, but I think George saying that he could've been more careful would help (my personal opinion is that it was a racing incident where lewis is mostly at fault, but george should've considered that lewis was behind him on softer tires and been more cautious into turn 1, and mercedes fucked up with their strategy). I think mercedes is also handling this badly, first by making all those social media posts bemoaning George's mistake in Singapore and now with the PR apology video it just furthers the perception that George is arrogant, can't admit he makes mistakes and needs to be coddled when he does so.
No I'm sorry it's on me. Yesterday, I conflated some or all your messages with other takes I saw elsewhere that weren't actually yours. I apologise.
I fully agree that George is not subjected to the same expectations Lewis is. I also fully agree that there's a racist component to it. It's absolutely true that Lewis gets more hate for the mistakes he makes than anyone else on the grid, and he would get more hate than anyone else on the grid if he didn't apologise the way he does in the aftermath. He gets hate even when he does apologise, like I said yesterday. I also said Lewis holds himself to a standard that makes him apologise the way he does. I wanna make clear that I don't think he made that standard up for himself all on his own. Part of it is he wants to be a leader, but most of it is a response to how he was treated and a way to minimise the abuse he's subjected to in this sport and by the fans. It's like when people were praising him after AD21 like he could have reacted any other way than the way he did. He does not have a choice.
I think what confused me yesterday was I saw a few people saying that he then shouldn't apologise, because I feel like it would make it worse for him AND I think all drivers should apologise in such circumstances. I was wrong about this in that it doesn't matter what my wishes are, the reality is they don't all apologise like he does, and there's a reason for that which is they're not subjected to the same expectations. Hence why you were talking about George needing to apologise as well, not necessarily about this incident but in general, to bring him up to that same standard Lewis is held to. I conflated that with other people saying it was fully George's fault and he took Lewis out but that was not what you said. You are right and I apologise.
And yeah again, that video Merc posted was really awful. It's transparent PR and they are laying it on thick to keep pretending that there's no tension between their drivers even though it's painfully obvious that there is, and it's made at Lewis' expense. What made me especially uncomfortable is George posting it on his instagram tbh.

Alright, I'mma take this on neutrally compared to my responses with Mobox87's brother SonicCrash since I barely know Hanna besides that she's doing the kind thing to take care of Mobox87 as a close friend and run her Tumblr during her recovery.
The Suzuya alter ego will be out of this and I'mma just be myself on this.

First thing to address, it's good that Mobox87 is improving better mentally and physically getting back up on her feet to live her personal life. I'm not coming off as sarcastic but being brutally honest since despite the harsh criticism from the Moboxcritique, Zombify and I. Along with my violent behavior with my critiques in my comic strips, we don't hate Mobox87 as a human being nor do we condone the threats involving to wish death or rape upon her own mistakes online.
When Nicole went to go DM Cagney for an interview it didn't go well because of how Nicole approached them with their rude remark on Cagney not wanting to voice call with an explanation on why.
Now due to this post being made, Nicole was unaware about it after being block until later on she found out and has claimed that the conversation posted on the Moboxcritique blog is taken out of context in the ask inbox on her second account then goes to slander Cagney along the critique blog.
The issues about the out context screenshot claims is that Nicole has not bother to show proof of that being the case. If Nicole has the guts to call out Cagney over a conversation that didn't go as intended based off of screenshots shared on Moboxcritique blog then she should show screenshots or a screen recording of the conversation as a way to provide proof that Cagney allegedly lied to everyone.
Since Nicole interviewed one of the running accounts of the Moboxcritique blog. Kevonica would be another person that she'd interview which resulted in the same issue as shown in the screenshots that are in the archive link posted on the critique blog.
Zombify would take a part in defense for Cagney and Kevonica against Nicole's allegations about the conversation being taken out of context.
Nicole treated these interviews as a way to intervene in the drama to her liking as a stan for Mobox87. She made the interview with Mobox87 one sided during the stream and has kept it that way towards both Kevonica and Cagney instead of the neutral approach to be in between both sides of the drama.
All these allegations and claims that Nicole made on her Tumblr and Instagram are the ones that's all truly taken out of context.
Nicole is the one who is harassing and you've only fallen for her lies, Hanna.

Nicole is condoning this behavior as a come back for revenge over these threats you don't wish upon your own friend and possibly not to anyone else deep within your own heart.

If this makes you truly feel sick then you should feel the same back with what Nicole is doing since you are not just being the administrator of Mobox87's blog but also being the bigger person to show others that Mobox87 has changed.
The people who follow me and the Moboxcritique or any account against Mobox87's actions might not agree or believe that she's change with our comments and opinions on her publicity online but that doesn't mean we would want to threaten her life or think she deserves death for the things she's done as an act of justice.
So yeah, we're adults but are we harassing a minor as justice for what we do? No, we're dealing with a minor having a temper tantrum by making allegations against the Moboxcritique blog and Cagney for supposed harassment.
Now I know you said that you won't be choosing sides Hanna but you should at least look into our side more over this current beef with Nicole instead of relying on her messages.
Anyways, that's all I wanted to say in regards of the situations narrative for everyone to see and whenever you get to read this Hanna since tomorrow you have plans with cheering up Mobox87🧁.
Yours truly,
MinerWarFare Suzuya

Oh! Actually one more thing for Nicole!

Nicole quit accusing Cagney of lying and harassing you when you are the lier and a hypocrite of doing these proclaimed actions.
Do everyone the favor.

You May Not Be My Big Sister… But I Am Still Your Little Brother.
[Warning: This is a long post and contains a lot of ranting about my feelings and experiences.]
In the world of online art and fandom, friendships can feel intense and real, even if you’ve never met the person on the other side of the screen. That’s exactly how it was with Lu and I. We connected quickly, drawn to each other by our shared interests and passion for art, and we got close fast—really close. Before I knew it, we were calling each other “little brother” and “big sister.” It felt like a bond stronger than friendship, almost like family, and for a while, we were inseparable.
But then, something happened between us—something I wish I could undo. We made a mistake, one that went beyond any friendship line, and it left Lu traumatized. She couldn’t see me the same way after that, and I could feel her pulling away. She even asked me not to call her “big sister” anymore, a request that hit hard. It was a reminder of how much our bond had changed, damaged by that one moment we both regretted.
Even though things felt broken, I didn’t want to give up. I still cared about Lu, so I kept trying to be the friend she deserved. I created fan art for her, hoping it would show how much I valued our connection. But her response was not enthusiastic. While she’d celebrate other people’s fan art, she hardly reacted to mine. It hurt—being treated like I didn’t matter, especially after everything we’d been through. Eventually, I reached my limit. I couldn’t keep putting myself through the disappointment and hurt, so I made the decision to walk away. I removed her from my life, thinking it was the only way to protect myself.
Lu noticed. I could tell she was sad, maybe even hurt by my leaving, but by then, I was too frustrated to care. A month passed without a word between us, but my anger kept building. On her birthday, I just couldn’t hold it in anymore. I reached out to her, and in that moment, all the anger, resentment, and pain I’d been carrying spilled out. I told her everything I felt, even how much I hated her for what she’d put me through.
To my surprise, Lu responded. She apologized, acknowledged the hurt she’d caused, and even begged me not to make our situation public. Despite my anger, I agreed. I kept our story to myself, choosing not to expose her, even though part of me wanted to. I could tell she genuinely felt bad, and that made things complicated. Because here’s the thing—I still cared about her. Even though she’d hurt me, even though I resented her, I couldn’t completely let go of the feelings I had for her. It’s strange how someone can hurt you so deeply, yet part of you still wants to protect them.
Now, another month has gone by, and I’m left questioning if I made the right choices. Should I have exposed Lu and what happened between us? Or was keeping it private the right thing to do? And maybe the hardest question of all—why do I still care about someone who treated me so badly? I feel torn between my anger and the bond we shared, even if it’s broken now.
I find myself afraid to seek out another sibling figure because I don’t want to relive what happened with Lu or risk removing the place she had in my heart. I miss her… and it’s hard to reconcile those feelings with everything that has transpired.

Spike and Angel
Spike
How I feel about this character
Favorite vampire (sorry Angel) of all time right here. He's the big bad. He's a fluffy puppy with fangs. He's a killer and a poet. He's complicated and ridiculous and cares so much.
All the people I ship romantically with this character
Buffy, Angel, Fred, Xander
My non-romantic OTP for this character
Dawn, Tara, Fred, Willow
My unpopular opinion about this character
Honestly, no idea. I know that some of my opinions on him are popular based entirely on what part of the fandom the post reaches and those same opinions would be wildly unpopular in other parts.
I do think he got pretty badly abused in parts of S6 so I do wish he'd been the ones to break things off with Buffy. And that he would have done so to try and push Buffy to seek help after finally recognizing he couldn't give that to her. That continuing down the path they were going was hurting Buffy as much as it was him. (Possibly still a trigger for Spike to seek out his soul.) This tends to be unpopular because some people look at any discussion of Buffy's canonical abuse of Spike as erasure of Spike's equally canonical abuse of Buffy so... *shrugs* I tend to avoid the subject.
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.
I wish Spike had gotten in contact with Buffy during his season on Angel. I really think, after everything, she deserved to know. To hear it from him. And instead Spike jumped on the 'paternalistic towards Buffy' train that Angel was the conductor for.
Angel
How I feel about this character
I like him a lot less as an adult than I did as a teenager. I mean... I always found him weird, but as an adult I really do find his whole 'fell in love with a fifteen year old at a distance' thing kinda sketchy. Vampire from a different era or not, it's kinda sketchy.
That said, he's just kinda an out of touch dork and I really do enjoy the character over all. Especially when he got his own show. His dynamic with Cordelia in particular is just really fun to me.
All the people I ship romantically with this character
Buffy, Cordelia, Xander, Spike, Wesley
My non-romantic OTP for this character
Wesley, Lorne, Fred, Doyle, Lindsey
My unpopular opinion about this character
Possibly that I like his relationship with Cordelia better than his relationship with Buffy? Again, kinda depends on the part of the fandom the post floats into.
As noted, his initial interest in Buffy was kinda... sketchy. But also he's just very paternalistic towards Buffy and has a tendency to treat her as immature, needing him to make decisions for her. I can get why they both idealize the relationship, but I think that's because they're both more in love with the idea of each other than actually in love with each other.
Whereas with Cordelia, he falls for her after knowing her as a friend. They've got a much more solid base to build their relationship on and he treats her a lot more as an equal. Cordelia is able to grow as a person because of Angel's support and they really seem to see each other and like one another, faults and all.
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.
I wish we'd have gotten a chance to actually explore what it would be like for Angel to raise a (vampire powered) human son. Just imagine Connor running into the sunlight as a kid to avoid arguments with his dad and stuff like that.

Past Lives is my top album for 2022 but being on the internet is like well can we talk more about Travis's guitar parts and less about Frank's hair please
yeah i know :( but like in the end this is fandom tumblr, people are gonna be thirsting and gonna be fixating as much or more on the interactions btwn the guys as they are on the music and it feels pretty pointless to complain about that, it is what it is. tumblr isn't really the best platform to discuss music on anyway bc it's difficult to have actual conversations but i just realised pretty quickly the ls dunes tag isn't really for me skdkdfj it's whatever. people having their fun on the internet is one thing, but what really genuinely bothers me is the behaviour at the shows - people queuing for hours at small venues bc they're determined to get barricade/as close to frank as possible and then complaining about the crowd being too rough, taking creeper pictures of the guys, hanging around for hours after the show to meet them and complaining if they don't stop to talk (or worse, chasing after them)...i could keep going.
like. it's totally normal and reasonable to be into a new band bc you like one of the artists in it!! but it is unreasonable to show up at a hardcore show and completely disregard the genre and disrespect all the artists in the band (including frank) by treating them like celebrities and/or props. i know all the extra attention from frank's involvement has let them take tours they probably couldn't have afforded otherwise and make extra money etc i'm sure they're all grateful for that and it's not like they're hard done by etc, and for all i know they truly don't mind at all and it's definitely not like they're oppressed or hard done by or anything lol. just...at the risk of sounding like a pretentious twat i do wish more people would develop a rudimentary sense of shame if only so i can stop experiencing second hand embarrassment JSJFFJDJ. also if anything i feel like this behaviour just reflects badly on frank/mcr but whatever
#im sure they cant be that annoyed about it considering theyre doing official m&gs so it's mainly like. AREN'T YOU EMBARRASSEDDDD#even the bringing flags and chanting people's names and shit makes me squirm like they're just not that kind of band 😭😭😭
