You know I wonder why they never adapted The Everwraith into the movie or the show it was a very prominent antagonist for the team in the comics so I wonder why-

Hot new Zorua and Zoroark just dropped!
You know, throughout my entire ten minute history of looking into Pokemon partners for the Big Hero 6 characters, I completely forgot about someone.
Obake.
Now, which one would you think he would prefer?
The normal Dark-type Zoroark?
Or the Normal/Ghost-type Hisuian Zoroark?
*looks at Pokedex entry*
Hisuian Zoroark is hostile toward people and Pokémon—but it seems to have compassion for those it considers family. Anyone able to establish trust with this Pokémon would likely find it an invaluable ally.
*and then Zorua’s*
Hisuian Zorua is the Spiteful Fox Pokémon. After being shunned by humans, Zorua migrated to Hisui, but they were unable to survive the harsh environment. Their lingering souls were reborn in this Ghost-type form through the power of their malice.
I like how regional forms went from “LUL Alolan Raichu ate too many pancakes” to “Zorua just dies”.
Wait...does this mean that Obake’s going to turn into a Ghost-type?
Or if he’s based off of Everwraith from the comic versions of Big Hero 6...
Maybe he already did.

Can you remind who were the villains in the Original Big Hero 6 comic? I'm invested in them (also I have something in mind).
I’m talking about it in this post but I’ll do a quick recap of the villains (well, the ones I know since I didn’t read the comics before 2008) with their powers/weapons :)
BADGAL: The main antagonist in the 2008 comics storyline. She could possess others and use their abilities at her advantage.
(From left to right) GUNSMITH, WHIPLASH and BRUTE, who were lackeys of Badgal above. Their names speak for themselves (Gunsmith had a gun, Whiplash had a whip and Brute relied on brute force (because well look at him)
EVERWRAITH: A ghost that was an “astral embodiment of all the people that died during the nuclear attacks to Hiroshima and Nagasaki at the end of World War II”. Politically incorrect if you need my advice, so if he’s to be in the series he’ll need obvious changes. His abilities: slice himself into pieces and ressemble himself, go through a person and cause them great pain, spring energy, teleport people, siphon energy out of someone, etc.
THE CORRUPTOR: A scientist that was victim to a mix of dangerous chemicals after a fire broke out. It made his skin turn blue and the worst in him come out, and he could subvert the wills of any person he touches (thus explaining his name, “corrupting” people)
P-S: I DON’T KNOW WHY I HAVE A FEELING THAT IT COULD BE OBAKE?! If you forget the blue skin, I don’t know why, that’s what I feel it could be possible, because that’s one heck of a good backstory if you need my advice…
X THE UNKNOWABLE: This thing. Born out of a comic book drawer’s mind using an enchanted typing machine. It’s a powerful creature able to change change into any shape and size.
Hope that sums it up :)

So. Are we going to talk about the fact that, according to the Marvel Encyclopedia, the Big Hero 6 "protected Japan from the Everwraith, the astral embodiment of all the people who died at Hiroshima and Nagasaki"? Or that Sunfire's mom, a hibakusha, ultimately died of radiation from the nuclear bombings? Or that Marvel perpetuates the harmful stereotypes against hibakusha by making it so that Sunfire's powers come from his irradiated mother? And that Sunfire was in the Big Hero 6, so he also probably had to fight the people who died at Hiroshima and Nagasaki? Or-

It took me sometime to get around, but I've finally manage to finish this and saved it in my drafts before my galaxy tab got locked up.
I like to imagine that in one of this AU's arcs, Hiro got knocked unconscious while trying to capture a dangerous android AI-gone-rogue known as The Everwraith, so Megan volunteered to take over his place as temporary leader of BH6 & wears the armor Marys designed for her.
Furi & members of both BH6 & Nexus Brigade oppose the idea, fear of a risky chance of getting herself hurt and making her father worried even more about her safety, but Marys steps in and begs a differ.
As long as Marys & Baymax are by her side to keep her company & show her the ropes. With all the clues and evidence about the villain that Megan manages to gather, they'll be able to form a plan to put a stop on The Everwraith.
*check the notes below for links to the previous rough sketch of the armor because tumblr's search system is kinda shit whenever it comes to putting links on the main post.
**subject on lore yet to be changed

How I imagined some of the other Big Hero 6 comic characters in the Disney Animated Canon
Everwraith: A scientist who got turned into a discount Reaper/Specter Knight after an attempted immortality experiment backfired spectacularly. Hates everyone and everything in general.
Brute: Discount Doomfist
Gunsmith: Crazed gun nut, vast knowledge of firearms, strong proponent of 2nd amendment rights. Wields dual plasma SMGs which she names individually. Treats her guns like her own children.
Whiplash: Basically the foil to Honey Lemon. Cold, calculating, merciless, dry sense of humor. May or may not be a lesbian
Sunfire: Probably a certain someone who was secretly abducted, mutated and brainwashed into doing the big bad’s dirty work. Has some issues with self loathing.
Silver Samurai: A soldier who was turned into a cyborg after a deadly plane crash. I call him the Raiden of Big Hero 6. Also may or may not be secretly Gogo’s dad.

So I decided to look up BH6's original comic since I like three (3) total superhero properties and two of them are based on like M-rated comics and I'm tired (I'm not complaining its just...wild man) and "The tough-talking GoGo Tomago, able to transubstantiate her body into a fiery force blast by uttering her code name, was released from prison on the condition that she serve on the team. [...] Government scientists then identified 13-year-old boy genius Hiro Takachiho as a potential operative. Unimpressed with the Silver Samurai, Hiro declines joining the team until his mother is kidnapped by the Everwraith, the astral embodiment of all those killed in the 1945 nuclear attacks on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Hiro creates Baymax, a synthetic bodyguard capable of transforming into a dragon, using the brain engrams of his dead father." Well there's no Dirty Sex(tm) (to clarify, I'm saying that ironically) but Gogo is a fugitive (surprising, but not like PG13+ content or anything by american censors standards) and they fight the embodiment of nuclear warfare/a huge war crime that the US committed not that long ago. Also BAYMAX IS A DRAGON HOLY /FUCK/ I WANT THEM TO BRING THAT BACK Also later on the Wikipedia page, it mentions a character named Sunfire (who gets replaces by a character named Sunpyre) and that at some point they fight Giant Erasers

Go-GoTomago
Leiko Tanaka
Powers: No Powers. Battlesuit is voice-activated, absorbing and amplifying kinetic energy.
Go-Go is a member of the Japanese super-team, Big Hero Six. She is young and highly aggressive, with little patience for others, but a very strong will, someone who does not give up easily. She is also known as the hothead of the team as she tends to act on her aggressive tendencies without considering the results. GoGo was apparently drafted into Big Hero 6 rather than facing jail time. The nature of her criminal convictions is unknown.
After the superhuman Civil War, instead of forcing heroes to join the Japan Defence Agency, the Japanese government preferred to establish a voluntary public partnership: the Big Hero Six. Go-Go joined this new team and when superheroes of the world were rallied by Spider-Man they stopped the construction of one of Doctor Octopus’s satellites guarded by Everwraith.

SO GUYS WE HAVE NEW VILLAINS FOR THE SERIES!!!
I’m gonna do a few theories and comments on the first glimpses of them we have of them because why the hell not.
also Hiro looks so badass in that shot
1) So I’m happy Yama is coming back in the series!! (along with Little Yama, who seems to be doing much well than the last time we saw him...)
2) So here we have a trio of villains:
That reminds me, in the original BH6 comics, there was a trio of villains called respectively Gunsmith, Whiplash and Brute:
Yeah, they look different, but who knows, maybe they could be a reference to them and they changed into more realistic physiques and powers to fit into the technological world?
also with more modesty and less sexualization for the woman....
3) That one looks kinda young, don’t you think?
@atruehiro speculated a theory about her possibly being Karmi, and I agree! Karmi was confirmed to be a classmate of Hiro, but what if she’s actually a villain? Now, since she’s a possible friend of Hiro, I guess she’d be an anti-villain who’s torn between being a villain and with the good guys. Her style looks Catwoman-ish to me, and we all know Catwoman is one of the most famous anti-villains :)
4) Well, I know the cause of my nightmares to come:
You wanna know who I think he is? Mr. Sparkles, a deleted villain from the film:
That can’t be a coincidence, right? They have the same haircut. According to Scott Watanabe in the book “The Art of Big Hero 6″, Mr. Sparkles was: “a Japanese TV Talk Show who wanted to control the world. He was a dumpy, little, kid-like man who was super creepy and weird.”
Well, it quite fits the description of the glimpse we have of this villain, if you need my advice.
5) I’m pretty sure we can’t trust that one:
This hamburger-thing might look cute, but I’m sure he’ll be ruthless. Think Kakamora in Moana:
“They look... cute.” *Kakamora puts on intimidating makeup and try to kill the characters*
P-S: We actually had a sneak peek of him a long time ago! I knew that one of Bob Schooley’s old Twitter logos would be a character in the series!!
6) That one sends a Joker vibe along with a ressemblence with Two-Face from Batman... I’m pretty sure he’s Obake!!
7) Wow, creepy. Who knows what this one is capable of?
I personally think he’ll be a more politically-correct version of Everwraith from the original comics:
His powers:
Slice himself into pieces, and ressemble himself
Go through a person and cause them great pain
Spring energy
Teleport people
Siphon energy out of someone
If all of these are accurate, with these powers he might be a dangerous villain
*BONUS*
We’ll have a possible dangerous Kaiju villain breathing fire!!
*Fred squealing in the distance*
AND SOME NINJAS!!
Anyway, tell yourselves it’s just a glimpse, and we have possible other villains not shown in the intro!! That just fuels my excitement!
#i was absent the whole day yesterday so i have to post something about the series while i can now#i'm SO EXCITED!!!!#big hero 6#bh6#big hero 6 the series#bh6 the series#long post#bh6 comics#bh6 villains#yama#little yama#gunsmith#whiplash#brute#karmi#mr sparkles#obake#everwraith#kaiju#ninjas#hiro hamada#bob schooley

It’s really nice to see the original comic Big Hero 6 get some attention over the past few weeks. It’s cool for new people to see the inspiration that led to the current team, even if it’s a little...different than what it was before. Like...really different.
This isn’t the most fanservice-y page in the 2008 run. Not even close. There are pages a few issues in where Honey Lemon and Go Go are half naked because they were fighting people who were mind controlling them. But yeah, Honey Lemon especially is a LOT more covered up in the show, for obvious reasons. Just imagine if she walked around SFIT like that. Hiro would probably nosebleed into oblivion. By the way, did I mention that in the comics, Hiro Takachiko has a massive crush on Honey Lemon? That extends from not just the 2008 run...but from the original 1998 run.
That’s right. Big Hero 6 has an older comic from ten years before the 2008 mini-series, but instead of Fredzilla and Wasabi-No-Ginger, it has Sunfire and Silver Samurai. At least Honey Lemon’s more covered up in this one...not that Hiro cares a lot:
Note that this doesn’t transition over to the series; Hiro doesn’t have a crush on either Honey Lemon or Go Go. He still gets red-faced when HL kisses him at the beginning of the movie, because boys and all that. In the ‘98 run, Hiro’s mom gets kidnapped by Everwraith, the dude that also shows up in the 2008 run (as well as Go Go’s butt):
It’s only 3 issues, and it reads a little weird, but I would suggest reading it if you can find it. ...OK, maybe I’ll show one sort of NSFW image from the 2008 BH6 run.
What? Clearly I’m talking about the aliens that, by the way, look like goddamn Mini-Max. What did you think I was going to post? A picture of Go Go wearing a glowing, form-fitting suit of armor? Because there is that, too. Just not in this post.

I’m working on my own fanon version of Big Hero 6, which combines the original Marvel comic with the Disney movie and TV series. This includes a rewritten version of the Everwraith. Would you like to hear it?
I'm all ears
