you cant totally discount nostalgia in that , but the atmosphere that island created —the sense of camaraderie between campers was unique and almost entirely unseen in other seasons. it was a little magical

the finale ending with gwen and heather smiling together after throwing chris in the pier is really hopeful and always makes me happy :-) they both lost, but it’s okay. and it feels like everything’s gonna turn out all right. the competition was the only real thing putting campers against each other, and now that it’s all over theyre a lot closer than when they started
