So, I was wondering why this dragonborn called my dragonborn "veyemniri"-
-so I ended up falling down a rabbit hole of forgotten or supposedly retconned lore for the race.
I will never get over nor get behind what WotC has done to D&D. Why was all this hidden and not in the main core books?!
And so help, for those that for some reason hate playing by lore or people obsessing over strict lore, I present an explanation from Bluey as to WHY playing by the strict rules of lore makes the game fun.

Basic BG3 Race Lore: Dragonborn
(Disclaimer: This is JUST for RP reasons for those who want it, feel free to do what you want. Yeah Dragonborn lore has changed so much so I might get stuff wrong, but I can give you some stuff that has remain the same. Also while most people say they their non-dragon parent is human, there's no actual lore saying it can't be something else. That is if they have a dragon parent at all, some do some don't. It all depends on the world.)
Physical: Dragonborns tend to be a big and bulky race, standing well above 6 feet or 182cm. On average, they weigh around of 220 to 320 pounds (100 to 150 kilograms). Unsurprisingly, there is no specifics when it goes to genitals so have fun with whatever headcanon you want. Also technically tails are uncommon, and considered a deformity buuuut most people give their dragonborns tails anyway.
Lifecycle: Dragonborns are birthed from eggs, and are able to walk soon after birth. By the time they are 3 they look like they are the same age as 10 year old human child. Dragonborns reach adulthood at the age of 15. They live to be around 80, And I feel like this is weird since dragons live so long, and my DM does retcon this so they live longer
Dragonborn Types: There's a couple of ways to categorize dragonborns. If you go with the more common way, there are technically 3 types of dragonborn but only two are currently only 2 in the game, Chromatic(Black, blue, green, red, and white) and Metallic (Brass, bronze, copper, gold, and silver). Chromatic Dragons tend to be evil, while Metallic Dragons trend towards good.(The missing type is Gem Dragonborns: Amethyst, crystal, emerald, sapphire, and topaz) There are more colors buuuuut they've been put the back burner in recent lore. Chromatic Dragonborns tend to be judged based on their draconic ancestry and may be faced with mistrust.
There is also Draconblood and Ravenite, but they are not relevant to BG3 since it's Critical Role stuff.
Culture: To Dragonborns clan is everything, and so is honor. Breaking you word is considered a serious crime. And as mentioned above, Dragonborns live to 80, but many don't reach to it due actively seeking death once they get up there in age.
Dragonborns relationship with dragons is VERY dependent on the world. In some worlds they will actively hate dragons, and and others they they will serve what is known as True Dragons.
In terms of art and leisure, Dragonborns, like dwarves, are prefer function over form. They will create things with for a purpose and rarely for just decoration. They do like making things beautiful though. You'll see a lot of things decorate with gold, gems and the like. They do like sports though, many physical but they are also a big fan of strategy games.
(I can do more later but this is some basics.
