i’m thinking about sam winchester and his relationships w/ some of the non-main characters again (ex. charlie, bobby)

because, with the way the show was written, it’s very obvious that the writers preferred dean, esp in the later seasons. they have always made sure that characters like cas, charlie, bobby, and claire were closer to dean than sam and maybe that had just been crappy writing but also i was thinking and-

sam does have some close relationships (more like had) and those people were always considered ‘the enemy’ to dean and other hunters (ex. ruby, mick, brady, rowena, amy, jack).

sam spends pretty much the entire series believing he’s a monster. brady had literally told him, right before sam killed him, that maybe the reason he always trusted monsters was because he was one himself

dean is always close to ‘the good people’ and sam is always close to ‘the monsters’ or ‘the enemies’.

and thats just so interesting to me idk.
