fun fact: eddie has worn white or off white a few times in s8 so far. his color palette is this:
the darker his shirt is, the more he’s hiding himself. the lighter it is, the more he’s being true to himself. the shirt in 808 will be the first time he wears bright white.
when eddie wears dark colors, he’s hiding his feelings, wearing a mask, whether it’s about chris or buck or himself. at work, he’s trying to turn that part of himself off even if he fails. he’s not going to let people see how he feels because these moments aren’t about him. they’re about chris, buck, hen and karen, or the patients he’s caring for.
when he’s wearing light/off white colors, it’s when he’s uncovering parts of himself or sharing his feelings with someone. he’s revealing a little piece of his identity and emotions/mental state. the lighter the shirt is, the more of himself he’s giving away. the talk with bobby is the first time he’s said out loud how he feels about chris being gone. the scene with the cheerleader’s dad was a place of projection. the dancing scene is the first time he’s experienced authenticity in years. maybe ever.
that’s why the confessions scene is so interesting. he’s wearing a white inner layer, he’s sharing the parts of himself close to his chest, but he’s still got a wall up in the church. he’s hiding Something that he wants to understand and share, but isn’t ready yet. and maybe nobody will know unless he says it himself.
but all this to say, i think eddie in a stark white shirt is not only alluding to s4 and an nde, but will be the final puzzle of him realizing his feelings towards buck.

this may be too much to ask but do you have a tut on how to draw turtles in the mm style?? (or just at all my ass is suffering. i need to draw tmnt but my brain doesnt know how :c)
Sure ! I’ll try my best to explain (I made one after the first tottmnt trailer came out it’s outdated so I’m remaking it)
If you’re talking abt mm movie style , I don’t think I’m skillful on them enough to make an art tutorial 😭💔they’re hard for me to draw too
Info on keep reading :D !!
- I take hundreds of screenshots + download promo art and a create collage of it , use it as a ref sheet. I study on the shapes , proportions , and style of each character.
- Then I pick an image from the pile to see if it’s a good pose (if not, I find poses from other resources to draw) or expression I want to use as reference for my drawing
- then I start sketching , adding the sharp details . Clean up on lineart and color later
Other Notes :
- Tales of the TMNT artstyle uses sharp sketchy lines to give it that sketchbook artstyle
- In some frames from the show, Their eyes are pentagon shaped & pupils are not fully colored in. Mask tails have different styles too
- Each turtle not only have different headshapes , they have different plastron shapes too (these are fugly examples I accidentally deleted the OG layer of this and had to redo it LMAO)
- Looking at Tales crew art also rlly helps! (There’s a lot of them on the #/talesofthetmnt tag on insta & twitter)
the Tales of the TMNT artstyle is easy to nail imo , it’s like more of a simpler version of the rise of the TMNT artstyle if that make sense ?? That’s how I personally feel lololol
If you never drawn TMNT before , just go slow on your art process , look at references, & take your time . Draw the characters in your own style first if you want :] just to feel more comfortable and less stress trying to replicate the iteration’s style . overall , have fun <3
I usually suckkk at these art tutorial stuff but hope this helps :D !!
#tales of the tmnt#mutant mayhem#my art#tmnt#if there’s anything specific ur still curious lmk and I’ll do my best to answer ‘:D

May be a stupid question, but why do you paint things in different colors before starting to paint? Like, in the crowley plant timelapse you painted crowleys body pink and the plant blue, why didnt you use a green base color for the plant already? And in the angels piece if I'm not mistaken you also changed those colors to different tones multiple times before starting to actually color it properly. Is it just a way of "separating" different areas of the piece before painting or is it something that actually helps with the coloring for some reason? If its the later, can you explain?
Not a stupid question at all, I get asked this a ton! I'll try to explain it as best as I can:
(I work with Clip Studio Paint btw, I'm not sure if this works in other programs)
So when I'm done with my lineart
I use the bright colors to seperate each important object and character. Each of these colors is on a different layer below the lineart.
It helps me keep everything organized!
After that, I add a folder on top of the layer with each bright color and add a clipping mask to that folder. Now, the folder is clipped to the layer with the bright color. That way, everything I now add into that folder will not go outside of the bright color area.
Which looks like this:
(the clipping mask icon is in the left corner highlighted blue)
My next step is to now add all the actual colors to the character. Each part (skin, hair, jacket, pants etc.) gets a seperate layer. Which looks like this:
And when I'm done with that I can yet again go back to my beloved clipping mask and add a layer on top of every part and add clipping masks to add details (like shadows and highlights)! That way you don't have to worry about drawing outside of the area.
It looks like this:
I just like using this method cos everything's more organized. I used to not do it for the longest time and coloring was always a bit of a pain, but ever since I do it like this it's been way more fun!
And why do I use bright colors? Using bright colors in different shades just helps me get a clear picture of all the different parts of my illustration before I start getting into details. It also helps me see if I accidentally missed a part later on since bright colors shine through quite easily! I also choose the colors randomly since they don't really matter, that's why I didn't use green for the plant.
I hope this explanation helped you out and didn't confuse you even more! I'm always happy to explain my process!
Have a wonderful day, anon!

Charles Dance/Yeston & Kopit Concept Makeup
Phantom Cosplay & Makeup Application: @phantomonabudget
Prosthetic: @dyadmufx
This is my first interpretation of what Erik (The Phantom) might have looked like in the 1990 miniseries adaptation of the Yeston and Kopit stage show. This version is quite famous for never showing Erik's face. Instead, we are left with only clues to his actual appearance. I imagine that decision was made as often the imagination can co.e up with far worse possibilities than whatever they would have out on camera. Still...it's fun to try.
Makeup Design
There are few clues or hints in the movie to build upon. We know the eyes are sunken in due to the eye shadow applied to the actor, Charles Dance. We know that the mouth, jaw, and skin around the edge of the face appear to be unaffected. And when pressed about his appearance, Erik says only: "I have no face. I have only the semblance of a face...and no one should have to look at it."
So...not exactly descriptive, and leaves a lot of room for interpretation.
Given the visual clues (or lack thereof), we know the middle of the face is the only area affected and it is completely covered by the mask. I chose to use a beautiful, foam latex base prosthetic appliance by DYAD FX. I kept the skin tone similar to that of the mouth and around the face, but carefully and thinly layered colors from my alcohol activated pallettes to give the effect of a very thin, pinkish tone to the area. I painted in veining to further the effect of the thinned out skin.
...No Nose??
I wanted to give the illusion of not having a nose (or at least that he was losing his). This is certainly the holy grail of Phantom visual design for most Phans, as we have truly only seen one makeup design faithful to the original Gaston Leroux novel...and that was Lon Chaney nearly 100 years ago! So I wanted to try to incorporate that element into this design.
However, it is impossible to eliminate the nose using makeup alone, as effects makeup is additive, not subtractive. Meaning, we add things like prosthetic appliances to the skin to create an effect, but can't take away what the person naturally has. Any time you see a missing nose in film and TV, it is removed using visual/digital effects (VFX). Oftentimes, VFX compliments a prosthetic effects makeup design (like Red Skull in the Marvel movies). It is possible to hide the nose under surrounding prosthetics, but in my opinion, that is usually not successful for realism. Adding more material under/around the nose makes the end result look more simian (ape-like) than just a human without a nose.
To allude to this effect, I instead painted the majority of my nose dark to appear like a cavity, and left the tip of the nose. I felt it gave a better and more realistic overall look. It simply suggests the nose is missing (or soon to be completely missing) instead of trying to physically bury the nose in a ton of material.
Overall, I'm happy with this first attempt but can already think of changes I'd like to make. I enjoyed this and look forward to doing more interpretations of classic Phantoms, to include a Gaston Leroux concept makeup in the near future!

what do you think each of the evan’s wear to bed?
(i was trying to imagine what JPM would wear to bed and was stumped lmao)
⋆𐙚 ₊ the evans… sleepwear .ᐟ
ft. tate langdon ‧ kit walker ‧ kyle spencer ‧ jimmy darling ‧ james patrick march‧ kai anderson ‧ rory monahan ‧ peter maximoff ‧ colin zabel
a/n: ty for the req !! so fun to write tbh
⟢ 𝐓𝐀𝐓𝐄 𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐃𝐎𝐍.
tate’s sleepwear is very 90s boy-next-door. half the time, he’s in those vintage-looking striped tees—horizontal stripes in muted colors, the kind that might seem kinda baby-ish now but somehow work on him. baby boy. the rest of the time, it’s a band tee, nirvana or the smashing pumpkins. for bottoms, he’ll either grab his track & field shorts (you know, the short ones that look kinda fruity) or a pair of boxers. if it’s hot, he’ll ditch the shirt completely. on colder days, he’s in one of those sweaters paired with green checkered pyjama pants.
⟢ 𝐊𝐈𝐓 𝐖𝐀𝐋𝐊𝐄𝐑.
kit’s all about practicality. hot weather? briefs. nothing else. he’s not into anything restrictive or fancy when he’s sleeping. when it’s colder, he might throw on some soft flannel pajama pants and a white undershirt, but only if it’s freezing.
⟢ pre death .ᐟ 𝐊𝐘𝐋𝐄 𝐒𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐑.
kyle’s sleepwear usually includes an old college club tee—something from a campus event or charity run—or a nerdy sci-fi shirt with marvel, star wars, or star trek designs. for bottoms, it’s always something cozy, like well-worn sweatpants or flannel pyjama bottoms, usually in neutral or plaid patterns. his clothes always smell nice because he’s that guy who uses fabric softener religiously and actually knows how to do laundry properly.
⟢ 𝐉𝐈𝐌𝐌𝐘 𝐃𝐀𝐑𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐆.
wife-beater and boxers, no questions asked. he’s the type to sleep in just his boxers most of the year because he doesn’t see the point in layering up unless it’s absolutely freezing. when the weather does turn colder, he’ll trade the tank for a plain button-down.
⟢ 𝐉𝐀𝐌𝐄𝐒 𝐏𝐀𝐓𝐑𝐈𝐂𝐊 𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐂𝐇.
james wouldn’t dare wear anything less than a matching set of black silk pajamas, tailored to fit him perfectly. the initials “J.P.M.” are embroidered in silver thread on the pocket because, of course, he’s that extra. to complete the look, he has a matching silk robe—also black, with a silver trim. probably has a nightcap too.
⟢ 𝐑𝐎𝐑𝐘 𝐌𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐇𝐀𝐍.
“actor off-duty” typa fit. his go-to is a plain, perfectly-fitted t-shirt (you’d think it’s basic, but it’s actually some high-end brand like james perse) paired with plain sweatpants. if it’s getting chilly, he’d swap the tee for a well-worn hoodie, but even that’s designer, probably with a well-hidden logo no one notices unless they know fashion. cashmere socks because his feet get cold in winter. rorys all about comfort, but it’s the kind of comfort only a celeb with a fat paycheck can pull off.
⟢ cult leader .ᐟ 𝐊𝐀𝐈 𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐎𝐍.
kai would 100% sleep shirtless, wearing those loose, low-slung grey sweatpants that sit dangerously low on his hips, showing off that delicious v-line because. he a whore. when it’s cold, though, he’s layering up with a sweater or plain hoodie—the kind a tech bro would wear without a second thought. or black thermal shirt paired with fleece joggers.
⟢ 𝐀𝐔𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐍 𝐒𝐎𝐌𝐌𝐄𝐑𝐒.
austin’s sleepwear is all about luxury. he’d wear a high-end silk robe, probably from something like tom ford or balenciaga, in sleek b & w pinstripes or a classy paisley print. It’s the kind of robe that looks expensive without being flashy—tasteful, refined, and just a little bit sexy. he’d leave it slightly open at the chest, showing off just a sliver of his pale skin (scandalous! what a slut!). he’s also got matching slippers, and an eye mask for when he needs to block out sunlight.
⟢ 𝐏𝐄𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐌𝐀𝐗𝐈𝐌𝐎𝐅𝐅.
he’s got a collection of band tees that double as sleepwear, (pink floyd or rush). then, of course, there are those absurdly dorky graphic tees that are so bad they’re good—like the “nacho average guy” with a cartoon taco or a random graphic of a turtle. peter’s pyjama bottoms are often cartoony and childish. think patterns like cartoon superheroes, or those old-school looney tunes characters. they’re soft and comfy, of course.
⟢ 𝐂𝐎𝐋𝐈𝐍 𝐙𝐀𝐁𝐄𝐋.
simple and comfy. he’d throw on a plain cotton shirt and wear boxers. when it’s warmer, he’s in boxers, but when the temperature drops, he’s switching to a long-sleeve thermal shirt to stay warm. his pajama bottoms are a staple—those brown, white, and black checkered plaid ones, they’re slightly worn in from frequent use, but he looooves that soft, lived-in feeling.

Same Time Next Year?
12 Days of Christmas Prompt: Krampus | Word Count: 2400 | Rating: E | CW: Monsterfucking, Spanking | POV: Steve | Tags: Modern AU, Steve "Monsterfucker" Harrington, Krampus Eddie Munson, Size Difference, Immortality, Rimming, Anal Sex
Also here on ao3.
This art by Brom is very much the Krampus that Eddie is based off of. Of course, picture adding the long Krampus tongue and hooves, and now we're cooking.
There's a parade. A night parade. Fuck. He missed that memo, clearly. Tons of people dressed up as Krampuses. Krampii? Steve isn't sure. It makes no difference, the point is, he just didn't realize it was the sixth or he would have avoided downtown entirely. Jogging while weaving through a parade isn't exactly his idea of fun.
There are so many horned creatures walking down Main, some blowing fire, some riling the crowd, trying to elicit screams. Some are there for fun, while others are serious scare actors, giving it their all, making it impossible to maneuver through them.
So, he makes the decision to veer off-course, and takes a detour through the wooded area, where he nearly runs straight into one of the guys in costume that has clearly wandered off the parade route. Probably to take a piss.
Even trying to get out of their way, he still runs into one of them. Perfect.
"Sorry, man," Steve says, and the guy cocks his head. He's tall. Tall, tall. With long hair, and horns. Broad shoulders that look very sinewy. Purposefully dehydrated, maybe, for the whole look. Like a bodybuilder or action star would do, but not nearly that big and broad. Still, Steve can see every line, every muscle, in his chest and arms. It's all so visible and defined, even out here in the moonlight. Even with his body painted black.
And won't that be a bitch to get off for him, later.
But Steve really studies him, cloven feet, the expressive, if not slightly terrifying prosthetic mask. A tail that's whipping back and forth like a curious cat. His legs are covered in a dense layer of wavy fur, making him look like he'd feel like a black goldendoodle.
His inner voice asks: Can I pet that dog?
But, yeah, no. Steve wants to pet him, but would also like to keep his hands, so he resists.
His brain is poking at him that it's not a mask, that this is not a man, but he ignores it.
"Um, your costume. It's really good. You should win," Steve says, not even sure if there are prizes for whatever the townsfolk are doing back there. But if there are trophies. This is the guy. Even if it looks like he's wearing some poor dog's fur swept up from the groomer's floor for pants.
It's very realistic, he'll give him that.
He takes a step towards Steve, and Steve doesn't take a step back. He lets him close the distance.
And his brain has given up on poking, now it's all out screaming that it's no mask. No costume. No man. His eyes are deep brown, and beyond expressive. Captivating. Steve can't look away. Then they flash red for a split second, before sliding back to their dark goldenness.
This thing is real, whatever it is.
And then it hits Steve: It's Krampus. The real Krampus.
So, he's about to die. Awesome.
It leans down and Steve realizes he has exactly zero survival instincts, because he still doesn't run. Instead he fawns, watching in rapt fascination as its tongue extends out of the creature's mouth, revealing just how thick and long it is before coming to a point.
Steve feels his cock twitch in his shorts, and what the fuck? Seriously? Calm down, dick. Not the time.
Krampus lifts his nose to the air and sniffs. Then he looks down, homing in on Steve's traitorous cock, the very one that's currently hellbent on rising to this occasion. If he lives through the night, he'll be forced to tell Robin she was right when she swore him watching werewolf porn was a gateway drug to monsterfucking.
Now that he's actually met a monster, and one that didn't immediately rip his entrails from his body, well, shit. Color him intrigued.
If he dies, he's gonna die trying to get laid.
It's the Steve Harrington way.
So, Steve gives in. He reaches out and touches the chest that's covered in that all-over short coat. So short he can still see skin peeking through, see the definition of muscle over bone, but there's enough hair there to feel, definitely.
If Steve squints, it looks almost human. Well, human-ish, human adjacent, whatever.
The tongue snakes out again, this time curling around Steve's neck, and Steve moans, lilting his head to the side. It feels good, warm and wet, and he knows he wants that tongue somewhere else.
Steve's in over his head. He's, fuck, he's never felt anything like this in his whole goddamn life. The long, agile tongue is in him in ways no human man could ever reach. Split wide on the thick girth of it, with the tip flicking against his prostate, over and over.
Fuck. He's gonna come, just like this.
Being eaten out by a demon in the woods.
What a way to go. Nobody will ever say Steve Harrington isn't up for an adventure.
His waist is wrapped in chains, and they are heavy and warm against his bare back. He doesn't feel tied down, though. They're there, but they aren't attached to anything else, he doesn't think.
The tongue slides out, and he wants to complain. He was so close, his balls have drawn upwards towards his body, and he starts to slide his hand toward his aching, dripping cock.
"No," comes the voice. The first word it has spoken. Steve wasn't even sure it could talk.
And then he feels the first blow. Wood to his ass, a bundle of switches. He keens as he tries to crawl forward, but he doesn't know where he plans to go. Then it changes to a more solid rod. And it hurts, but he doesn't think he's trying to be hurt by this thing. There's a difference, and he can feel it.
It has one hand braced on the small of Steve's back as it strikes him over and over.
He can feel the warmth throbbing in both ass cheeks, after taking the spanking. Then the tongue is back, and Steve sags with relief. He's letting a demon go tongue-deep in his ass, so maybe he has been bad. Very bad, indeed. The rod has branded him, surely reddened his skin, and now he's on his hands and knees in the woods asking for more.
One more flick, and Steve comes untouched all over the dry, dead leaves.
The tongue slips out once again, and Steve falls forward. It's cold, and the ground is hard, but he's too wrung out to care.
All he did was go for a run. This was a misunderstanding.
But he's not so sure he cares about that now.
Steve rolls over onto his back, his spent cock, nestled against his body, in search of heat. He watches the thing as it stands over him. Not sure if he's about to get killed, or fucked.
Its tongue retracts fully, disappearing into its mouth and well, that's a cool party trick. He supposes it'd never be able to speak if it was hanging out of his mouth all the time.
Krampus is moving a hand towards its beltline, long claws on even longer fingers, pushing away the heavier pelt of fur that covers his crotch. Steve isn't sure what he's got going on down there, but a throb of want goes through him. He needs to find out. He's sloppy and loose from the tongue, and whatever Krampus is working with, Steve's determined to take it.
Even if this is fucked up, even if he's fucked up. He doesn't care. He's into it and as long as he doesn't die, nobody can shame him.
If he dies, well, he'll be dead and the newspapers can have a field day.
Once revealed, its cock is as red as its tongue, thick and definitely not human. Not at that size. But not too foreign, either. Just scaled up, and apparently ribbed for Steve's pleasure.
Don't mind if he does, thanks.
It's looking down at him — asking permission? — and looks almost human.
"Fuck," Steve says, and spreads his thighs wider. Maybe they can do it like this, face to face. Steve will roll back over if that's what's demanded of him, but if he gets to choose? He thinks he wants to see. That feels more thrilling, more dangerous.
Krampus pulls Steve's body towards him, bowing Steve's back, as he nudges the head of his cock at Steve's hole.
And then he's in.
Steve lets out a whine, a keen, that he hopes nobody in the distance heard. It's bigger than it looked, so fucking big, that it's really edging far closer to pain than pleasure. He needs more lube, to be slicker, he thought he was open, but this is—
Krampus snaps his fingers, and suddenly the next stroke is considerably easier. He's gotten exactly what he was wishing for: he's slick, opened up, and ready.
Holy shit.
Well, that's a neat trick.
And what was painful, is now just an incredible fullness, and he just enjoys being fucked by this creature. He's pretty sure he can't come again, but he's still enjoying himself. Every thrust, every noise he's making above Steve, it's all so goddamn hot.
Steve reaches up and grasps his shoulder, digging into the muscle, feeling the tuft of hair on his shoulder tickling his palm. He glides his fingers through the hair, it's thick, but soft and he follows it, down the middle of Krampus's back where it comes to a ridge, like a startled cat.
He combs his fingers through it, stroking, and Krampus lets out a noise, a purr, almost, and comes, thrusting deep inside of Steve. It feels insanely warm, and like it's a lot. He's sure he's full, and his spent cock twitches at the thought.
When Krampus finally slides out, his thick, red cock hanging soft between his thighs, he lowers Steve back to the ground. Steve feels hollowed out. In a good way, the best way, but also in kind of a sad way that it's over. He stands up and pulls his underwear and jogging shorts back on, sure he'll be leaking the whole way home.
Krampus is just standing there, watching Steve dress. It's oddly human, and Steve doesn't know what comes next. Does he say thank you? Does he try to kiss him? Does he run for his life just thankful he's survived the best sexual experience of all time?
He doesn't do any of those things.
Instead Steve asks, "Same time next year?"
Krampus is towering over him, head cocked in an inquisitive way, but then he nods, and Steve can't wait.
One Year Later
Steve had almost convinced himself it had been a fever dream. But one year later, with the parade raging once again down mainstreet, Steve has slipped back off into the woods. Krampus is waiting, as promised, and he didn't come empty handed. He presents Steve with an offering: A bloody set of clothes that look suspiciously like an old fashioned Santa suit.
Steve takes them, "Thank you?"
"You. St. Nick now," Krampus grumbles, and Steve isn't sure if this is a roleplay situation or what.
"For tonight?"
"For forever," Krampus declares.
Well, Steve doesn't really have anything else going on, he supposes.
"You bring the children," Krampus says.
"And you kill them?" Steve asks, because he's not down with that. He's a good babysitter, not a murderous one.
"I do not kill them," Krampus says, "the good, you gift. The bad, I punish."
"How do you punish them?" Steve asks, because he needs details.
"My rod," Krampus says, pulling it from his side, showing it to Steve.
Steve's offended, and slightly aghast, "You used that on me doing that and now you spank children with it?"
"I washed it first," Krampus tells him, like that's reasonable.
"We'll discuss this later," Steve says. If he's gonna be Santa, he'll be the new sheriff in town. Krampus will have to follow a few new rules, maybe. And maybe that rod will just be for him, for now on.
"Do you agree then?" Krampus asks.
It's impulsive, and insane, but Steve nods.
"I agree," Steve says, and Krampus puts his hand on the top of Steve's head, covering his whole crown, his claws tickling all the places they reach.
And then Steve feels it. A warmth, a glow, like he's never known. Starting at his scalp and zipping down his body until it reaches his toes.
It's magic coursing through him. He's immortal now. He's sure of it.
He's goddamn Santa Claus.
Krampus lets go and is looking down at Steve.
"You got a name?" Steve asks.
"Krampus."
"Nothing else? No nicknames? Nothing that's, well, more normal that I can call you?"
Krampus is silent for a few more steps. Steve keeps walking beside him. And, well, he'll just have to come up with a nickname himself.
"Krampie?"
"No," Krampus says.
"Puss?"
"Absolutely not."
"Amp—"
"Stop it. Eddie," Krampus offers.
"Eddie," Steve repeats. "I like that."
"I'm so glad," Eddie says, and it's dry, and hilarious.
Which is good, if he's gonna be stuck with him for the rest of all time. Or, at least until Krampus kills him next year and gives his clothes to some new dude in the woods? Steve's not sure how the whole Santa situation works. Oh well. Steve can't think about that right now.
"Did you just make that name up?" Steve asks.
"Maybe. Maybe not."
Steve smiles. It doesn't matter.
"If I'm Santa Claus—"
"St. Nicholas."
"—do I get a Mrs. Claus?"
Eddie lets out a possessive growl.
"Don't worry, strictly Platonic with a capital P."
There's a few moments of silence, and Krampus must be pondering this proposal. Finally, he sighs.
"If you must," Eddie says, and Steve can't wait. Another customer service job with Robin? The biggest one ever, maybe. One that can last all of eternity while they get to be The Clauses? Sign them up.
"Awesome. You'll love her. So, tell me. What do we do now, Eddie?" Steve asks, readjusting his stocking cap. It has a fluffy little ball on the end and everything, and is only streaked with a little bit of blood. Hopefully that'll wash out.
Eddie just grumbles, and that's okay. Steve can be surprised, it's surely meant to be a magical adventure, after all.

What if the LADS Boys were "alternative"?
Which alt aesthetic would they be?
Moodboard and Blurb♡
As someone who dresses alternatively and loves exploring new types of fashion, I think it's fun to imagine what kind of styles the boys would into. This is going off my current knowledge of trends and communities I've seen over the years, so don't take this too literally. As always, leave a like and I hope you enjoy!
Xavier
Punk + Grunge + Hipster
From the beanies to the ripped up skinny jeans, Xavier would love the story he could tell through his clothes. Tons of pins, chains, patches, and belts. Since he likes wandering off on adventures, he wouldn't be afraid to get his clothes dirty or torn. He would wear leather boots that could tough out any terrain or converse that are way beyond repair. Lots of ear piercings, but none on the face. His hair would be long because he'd forget to get it cut (and if it was short, it'd be jagged cause he did it himself). Since Xavier (Lumiere) is older, he doesn't feel the need to buy the latest clothes or follow trends. What he has is good enough for him! Plus, he still thinks he's "super hip" either way.
Rafayel
Soft Boy + Art Hoe + Beatnik
Splashes of colors across vintage patterns. Rafayel would enjoy dressing like it's the 50s whilst adding his own twist. Lots of layers and retro elements that make you question whether he's crazy or a genius. He'd definitely paint/create his own designs on his clothes or make his own jewelry. Lots of piercings on the ears with some on his face, maybe the lips or nose. Besides his signature purple hair, he'd definitely try experimenting with other colors or even colored contacts. On some days, he'd dress more sophisticated, but on others, he'd add a bit more whimsy. You'd know he's a poet from a mile away.
Zayne
Dark Academia + Mori Kei + Cyberpunk
Some would think Zayne prefers function over aesthetic. However, I think for him, they go hand in hand. Rising in popularity, especially in the cyberpunk community, is mobility aids as fashion pieces. As a doctor, Zayne would encourage his patients to embrace their disabilities and help them feel empowered through customization. For himself, he would prefer down-to-earth styles with lots of layers from the cold. Earth tones, fleece, and wide silhouettes. He would not have facial piercings, as they'd be inconvenient for his line of work. If he had tattoos, they'd be dainty ones that could be hidden with clothes. Zayne loves a sentimental look as if he's the love interest in a drama!
Sylus
J-rock + Techwear + Motomami/N.E.E.T.
Leather, studded biker. Sylus would be into the "faceless" look, seemingly always wearing a mask or helmet. His outfits would be very accessory heavy, featuring belts, chains, chokers, glasses, hats, bracelets, gloves, etc. His main color palette would be black and white, with pops of red or yellow. If Sylus did have tattoos, they'd be large and meaningful. He'd definitely be rocking piercings or dyed hair and constantly be changing something new about his look to keep you on your toes. I think he'd lean into the flirtatious, degenerate nature of the N.E.E.T. aesthetic, especially with Luke and Kieran by his side.
Since these aesthetics vary in depth, I had to pair down the pictures to what I think would best suit the boys. However, if you're unfamiliar with the aesthetic, I suggest looking it up because there's definitely more variety to the outfits than what is shown here. Let me know what you guys think!

Your art so surreal, did you take inspiration from African masks it’s amazing. You have probably gotten this question before but what’s your process and how do plan these beautiful pieces out. I am a beginner artist and would like some advice on how start doing digital painting.
thank you for bringing me back from the dead with your kindness, (i was so sad today ughhhh i think watching vampire diaries starting to affect me hjkhjk), i really, really deeply thankful that you spend your time to write something so sweet (also sorry it took me literally ages to reply phphp THE USUAL)
yeah, in buryatia shamanism like the big thing, so when i went to search what's out there in the masks department - google's mess of the results for once was helpful and showed this massive collection of beautiful african masks. the one that was inspo for tiisha lived in my head rent free for weeks before the character was even born phphph now i cant even imagine her without it
(here is little tiisha for you before i'll proceed to be not helpfull phphphph)
oof advices are not my strong side , like..........my process mostly is just sleep through the whole thing i guess..........................i very rarely do sketches, i hate study anatomy and perspective, drawing cubes makes me physically sick etc etc my approach to drawing were "fuck around and find out", always about chill and fun and barely ever about learning. imho thats why im so shitty at drawing simple things but not bad at coloring. so yeah, my biggest advice always and forever will be - be gentle to yourself, please
digital or traditional or whatever else is out there, dont forget you make it for yourself and for yourself only okay? it supposed to be fun, not sad tiring and competitive
advices for digital specifically tho - very objective, apply with caution
learn all the keyboard shortcuts, ideally to press them without thinking
explore more instruments than just brush. it will be tedious and sometimes feel like a chore so mb pick one victim once a month and browse youtube for a stuff like SECRET ULTIMATE TIPS ABOUT MAGIC WAND TOOL THAT WILL SAVE YOUR LIFE (they indeed will save your life)
check if your drawing program has artboards - turning it on will give you more freedom over canvas positioning and your refs will always be there and not in the separate window
idk about others but using auto tone, auto contrast and auto color often gives me well needed perspective on what im doing
in 99% cases be sure that you can reanimate even the most messiest artpiece you ever did. working in digital gives you the chance to mess with shapes, colors and perspective at any time so if you dont want to gave up on something - you absolutely didnt have to
from time to time while you are still learning - go out there in the wilds and search for the new brushes. tweak with them if you want. i have like ~500 and i use 6 max, but those 6 i found by at some point trying to draw with all of the 500
MADE. BACK UPS. and i mean not like save layers just in case before merging them (tho that's too will help) no, i mean click SAVE AS once an hour and create A NEW FILE. PLEASE. i lost so much stuff to sudden power outage. its never pretty and you loosing will to work for days
watch at least one tutorial about the whole rgb srgb and cmyk thing - i did, understood not a thing, but at least im not playing dora the explorer with my colors after the export now
uh idk think thats it? tried to think about those that id hope i knew when i started so hopefully something will help
have fun with your drawings!!

hi, your latest edit for thgweek24 is absulutely stunning and i thought if i can ask if you can make a tutorial about the ripped gifs/paper effect? if not, that's okay! have a nice day <3
RIPPED PAPER EFFECT TUTORIAL
hi! thank u :D (thgweek set referenced)
below the cut are the steps that i took to create this effect. this tutorial is very screenshot heavy and assumes some basic knowledge of photoshop and giffing.
i do my best to try and explain my process so hopefully this is helpful! if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
STEP 1: Choose and arrange your two gifs
with this specific use of the ripped paper effect, there's one gif on the "outside" of the rip and one on the "inside." in this example, the outside is the b&w and the inside gif is the colored:
for me, the outside gif determined the positioning of the inside gif and the position/direction of the rip. as can be seen, outside gif has a lot of space on the left. therefore, i knew i was going to position the subject of the inside gif more on the right so i could create the rip without hiding too much of the b&w gif.
next, you want to arrange the inside gif on TOP of the outside gif. your layers panel should look like this:
STEP 2: Creating the ripped effect
here comes the fun part! in order to create this effect, you're going to need torn paper brushes. here and here are some packs you can download (w credit to owner).
next, create a layer mask on your inside gif. you're going to use the brush of your choosing as an ERASER. then, you can play around with the size and angle of the eraser to create the look you want. this is what the gif and the layers panel now look like:
STEP 3: Adding the paper
in order to add the paper around the edges of the inside gif (where the text goes), you now need to download a paper texture. i found mine on google by searching "paper texture png."
place the paper png IN BETWEEN your outside and your inside gif. this is what everything should look like:
now, similarly to what you did in the previous step with the inside gif, you are going to create a layer mask on the paper layer. using an torn paper brush as an eraser, you will erase the paper, creating the shape you want.
be sure to leave enough room for whatever text you want to be on the paper. also, i suggest making the rips of the paper different from the rips of the inside gif so it looks more organic.
here is what my gif looks like after erasing the paper:
optional: add a drop shadow on the paper layer (right click -> blending options... -> drop shadow)
STEP 4: Adding the text
first, you want to identify the space where you will have room to place your full quote within the paper. if there are no spaces, you can always use your brush/eraser to modify the layer masks.
next, add a layer on top of the paper layer (and below the inside gif). select the text tool and start typing your repeated text!
because you can see which text is hidden by the inside gif and what is on top of the paper, a shortcut i use is the "tab" button and only type words that will be seen.
type the repeated words around the quote you want highlighted:
now, in order to contain the text within the paper, convert the text layers into smart objects. then, create a clipping mask on both layers (right click –> create clipping mask). this is what your layer panels should look like:
with that, your gif should now look something like this, with the text contained inside the paper:
STEP 5: Highlighting the quote
as you can see, it just looked like a bunch of words. so, in order to highlight the quote you carved out in the previous step, add a new layer below the layer of the quote you want highlighted:
now, use a round brush (softness around 10-15% and opacity at 70-80%) with the color of your choice to highlight the words you want.
and there you have it!
i hope that this made sense and was helpful! if you have any questions or clarifications, please don't hesitate to ask :)

@unknownsodabrand Well Lucky you, I also love the artistic process and I keep all my sketches!! (seriously this is the most self indulgent question I could ever answer, thank you sm I'm gonna ramble a while sorry)
First I was only planning on doing the one Geno Illustration, I mostly wanted to experiment with the long 1000x2000 format bc I thought It could make for an appealing composition and it ended up being pretty challenging to get right.
So. I started with some rough planning of where I wanted everything:
Since this was gonna be a full Illustration I planned the colors earlier than I usually would (I have a love/hate relationship with coloring):
Didn't really like how it came out the first time so I just put a color mask over it, I wanted something a little warmer+brighter cause the flowers looked kinda green to me (Geno's was the one that gave me the most trouble and I liked it the least at first, by the time I finished It was my favourite XD)
Then I decided to make the three parts:
again used the same planning, rough sketch then color.
Then onto actually starting the Illustrations. I worked on these one by one but I'll show the process for all three by the steps rather than saying the same thing thrice.
as much as I wanted to keep the best for last I couldn't help myself and did the characters first.
Lineart:
(Error was supposed to be holding a golden flower so I made his hand's lineart and color layers it's own folder so I wuldn't mess it up trying to draw the flower. I looked a bit stupid so I scrapped the idea)
Flat color:
(I think I did Error's coloring after his background?)
In terms of backgrounds:
for Sans I started with the grid pattern, so I used a ruler tool and went in with color directly (the gradients are changes I did at the very end but I'm not editting out) Then I added the columns and the flowers were a last minute addition because the piece just felt a bit... naked. (also! I say columnS cause I planned on putting two, couldn't make it work the angle and space so I scrapped the bottom one)
The light is a yellowish white with gaussian blur of orange, it's an 'add' layer? ("ajouter(éclat)" because my app is in french) It's about 50% opacity.
I also shaded Sans at the same time as this with a multiply layer with a dark and light color (reddish brown and like light yellow) I'm not showing it bc I do have a 30 image limit I think
Then for Error's background it's just a case of making the lineart for the hammock, haing a layer underneath for the color, a white bg with blue gradient and the strings
For geno I have underneath the black to grey of the save screen, then I have the moss and the flowers
(The flowers were very fun to make I think I only copy pasted one?)
The lighting is a multiply layer over the whole image made the exact same way as Sans' coloring, I thought it was maybe a bit too dark so I dupplicated geno's lineart and colors folder to overlay over the lighting so he would pop more (seeing this now I think either would have been good. The first one might be better actually)
and that's it I think! If you read all of this, well first of all thank you but don't you have anything better to do?
also revised Geno's sketch once but it didn't fit in any where:
Error with my attemps of making the flowers work

~The Devil's Jester~
Characters: Clopin Trouillefou, Reader (Evil Jester), Judge Claude Frollo
Trigger Warnings: Emotional manipulation, distrust, morally gray dynamics.
Masterlist
Summary:
As Topsy Turvy Day unfolds, Reader—Frollo’s obedient and enigmatic jester—meets Clopin Trouillefou. Suspicion, intrigue, and dangerous sparks fly between the two, leaving Reader questioning her role as Frollo’s most loyal pawn.
Words: 1157
---
The raucous streets of Paris were a blur of color, music, and laughter, a stark contrast to the weight you carried under your jester’s motley. Bells jingled with every step you took, not to signal merriment but to warn others of your presence. Everyone knew what you were—Judge Frollo’s jester, bound to his will, more an agent of order than joy.
Your painted smile betrayed none of the wariness you felt as you moved through the festival. The scent of roasting meat and spiced wine filled the air, and the drunken crowd danced around you like waves crashing on a shore. But amidst the noise and laughter, whispers followed wherever you went. You heard the murmurs: “There goes Frollo’s little puppet.” “Watch her. She’s trouble.”
You ignored them, as you always did. You weren’t here for fun; you were here because Frollo commanded it. His orders were simple—watch the festivities, observe the gypsies, and report back. But simple tasks had a way of becoming complicated, especially during Topsy Turvy Day.
Your gaze drifted toward the center of the square, where performers juggled fire and acrobats flipped through the air. And there, among the swirling chaos, stood the man you were supposed to be watching: Clopin Trouillefou.
He was unmistakable, his vibrant costume as loud as his laughter, a mask perched jauntily over his face. He conducted the festivities as if he were both king and court fool, his voice carrying over the crowd with ease. For a moment, you forgot yourself, mesmerized by the way he moved, the way he commanded attention without effort.
He saw you before you could slip back into the crowd. His sharp gaze locked onto yours, and a grin spread across his face—a grin that was both charming and dangerous. He made his way toward you with the easy grace of someone who feared nothing.
“Well, well,” he said, stopping just close enough that you could smell the faint scent of wine on his breath. “Look who decided to join the festivities. Frollo’s jester, out of her cage. Tell me, little puppet, are you here to dance, or are you here to spy?”
You tilted your head, letting your painted smile stretch a little wider. “Can’t I do both?”
Clopin’s laugh was warm, but there was something sharp beneath it, like a knife hidden in silk. “Ah, a multitasker. How delightful.” He leaned in closer, his eyes gleaming with mischief. “Tell me, does Frollo know you’re here? Or are you out causing trouble on your own?”
Your heart quickened—not from fear, but from the strange thrill of being seen, truly seen, by someone like Clopin. No one ever looked at you like that, not even Frollo. To him, you were a tool, a weapon to be used and discarded. But Clopin’s gaze was different. It was playful, yes, but also curious, as if he were trying to solve a puzzle only he could see.
“I don’t cause trouble,” you said softly, your voice barely audible over the noise of the crowd. “I follow orders.”
Clopin’s grin faltered for just a moment, replaced by something like pity. “And what a dull life that must be,” he murmured.
For a moment, you considered telling him the truth—that your life wasn’t dull, but safe. Frollo’s commands gave you structure, purpose. Without them, you were... lost. But you didn’t say any of that. Instead, you shrugged, the bells on your costume jingling with the movement. “It’s not so bad.”
Clopin studied you for a long moment, his gaze flickering over your face as if trying to peel back the layers of paint and pretense. “You’re lying,” he said, not unkindly. “But that’s all right. We all lie to ourselves, now and then.”
Before you could respond, he reached out and tapped the tip of your nose with a gloved finger, the gesture light and playful. “Come, little jester. Let’s see if we can teach you how to dance.”
He spun away, beckoning you to follow, and without thinking, you did. The crowd closed in around you as Clopin led you through the festival, weaving between dancers and acrobats with practiced ease. He twirled you once, twice, and though you stumbled, he caught you with a laugh that felt like sunshine breaking through a storm.
For the first time in years, you let yourself laugh too—really laugh, not the forced, hollow sound Frollo demanded. It was strange and exhilarating, like taking a breath after being underwater for too long.
“See?” Clopin said, his grin wide and infectious. “Not so bad, is it?”
You shook your head, breathless. “No... it’s not.”
The night wore on, and the festival became a blur of music and color. You danced with Clopin until your feet ached, forgetting, for a little while, who you were and what you were supposed to be. But as the bells of Notre Dame tolled midnight, reality crept back in, cold and unforgiving.
Clopin seemed to sense the shift in you. His expression sobered, though his eyes still sparkled with mischief. “So, what will it be, little jester?” he asked quietly. “Will you run back to your master and tell him everything? Or will you stay and dance with us?”
It was a simple question, but the answer felt impossible. You wanted to stay—God, how you wanted to. But you knew that staying meant more than just dancing. It meant defying Frollo, breaking free of the chains he had wrapped around your soul.
“I can’t,” you whispered, the words tasting like ash on your tongue.
Clopin’s gaze softened, and for the first time, his smile was sad. “There’s always a choice,” he said gently. “You just have to be brave enough to make it.”
You wanted to believe him. But the weight of Frollo’s control was too heavy, and the fear of what would happen if you disobeyed too great. You shook your head, stepping back, the bells on your costume jingling softly in the night air.
“I’m sorry,” you murmured.
Clopin gave you a long, searching look, as if trying to memorize every detail of your face. Then he smiled—a quiet, understanding smile that made your heart ache. “Maybe next time,” he said softly.
And with that, he turned and disappeared into the crowd, leaving you standing alone in the square as the festival began to fade.
You watched him go, a strange mix of regret and longing swirling in your chest. You knew you would return to Frollo, just as you always did. But for the first time, the thought of obeying him felt like a prison sentence.
As you made your way back to Frollo’s chambers, the bells of Notre Dame tolled once more, their somber notes echoing through the empty streets. And with every step you took, Clopin’s words followed you, haunting you like a whisper in the dark.
There’s always a choice. You just have to be brave enough to take it.

your icons are soooooo so cute honestly!!! i wanted to ask if there's any way you can make a tutorial on how to make them? of course if you want, if you don't want to, that's okay :)
Hi! I really appreciate that you like my icons, thank you so much! 💖💖💖🥹
It's been a long time since I've done a tutorial so I hope I can explain it well haha
So I will explain how i go from the original picture and the final icon below:
I'm using Adobe Photoshop 2024 but you can use other versions too!
First, I create a 250x250px document and apply a random color fill layer to be the background color of the icon, you can do it by going on Layer > New Layer Fill > Solid color (the color in this moment doesn't matter because I change them later according to the picture I choose to edit).
Then I place the picture I want, adjust the size to make the subject on the center and apply some smart sharpen:
I apply some adjustments to try to color correct if the original picture using Levels, Selective Color and Color Balance to get something like this:
If you want to know the exact adjustments settings I used on this picture you can download the psd here.
To remove the background, I do the hack where I go to the Properties panel (Window > Properties) and click on the "Remove background" option. It's not always that I will get a perfect result but I think it makes easier for me to adjust the little details such as hair and accessories, etc. And I do that using the Lasso tool (shortcut L).
Now, with the background removed I pick a color that I think will match the icon in the Color Fill layer that I created before. To make the background more "fun" I like to add a Gradient Fill layer (Layer > New Layer Fill > Gradient) with a color that might go well with the one I picked earlier to make a smooth and light gradient.
My result until now:
Now it comes the fun: adding textures! I like to add some textures to make the icon more lively and I usually download them on deviantart or on resources websites. You can download some cool textures here, here and here. On this part I really test a lot of textures with different Layer blending. There are a lot of different blending options so you can try as much as you want.
Other thing I like to do is add a clipping mask above the subject layer when I want to color something specific in my picture such as the hair, the clothes or even applying some "fake" blush on the cheeks. I do this adding a new layer, then using the shortcut option (or alt) + command (or ctrl) + g to make it a clipping mask and then using the Brush layer to color what I want. For the blending mode I usually use Soft Light and sometimes Color if I want the color to really stand out.
And in the end I will have something like this:
And my layer tab will be like this:
For using on the dashboard I usually resize it to 100x100 to make it look more sharper and defined but it's really a choice, you can already start making your icon using the size you want, I just prefer doing on 250x250px because i'm used to.
To save it I use the shortcut shift + option (alt) + command (ctrl) + s to save it for web with these settings:
And that's it! Sorry for not going to deep in each step but I guess you can get the feeling when you try making your own icons! Is really about trying different methods and things until you became satisfied with your result.

ticci toby headcanons !!
I haven’t posted in a while!! But I was hit with a small urge to write some headcanons…maybe it’ll get back into posting more! As usual I hope you enjoy and my ask box is always open!! Please send any requests my way as i try and get back into writing!
Starting off visually, I am a pretty big fan of the idea that Toby and X-Virus are brothers
I just think it’s an interesting idea, and a fun explanation as to why Toby appears at the end of his story
However, I don’t see it being likely that they are fully related
Instead, half siblings who share a father
Going along with this I also consider Cody to be hispanic, making Toby half hispanic in turn
It’s probably a bit harder too see with his pale complexion, but you can see it in the dark curls of his hair
Or how his brown eyes are almost black in color
His eyes are probably the most expressive part of him, consider he ate away at most of the muscles in one of his cheeks
I like the idea that Toby’s eyes are very telling of how he feels, especially since they aren’t covered by a mask
It’s especially eerie to his victims who can see the perverse joy he gets from robbing them of their last breathe
Toby is incredibly sadistic, he struggles to see the value in other peoples lives and treats them more akin to animals
If you are alive it is purely for his entertainment in watching you squirm at the sight of him
He is used to people looking at him in disgust and avoiding him like the plague
Reducing a someone to their primal mind, making them more prey than person is a natural high
Although its familiar it wasn’t always so empowering
As a child he was bullied in school, but I imagine more so for his health conditions than his tourettes
Sure he was picked on for both but being a kid with a medical aid in class feels more humiliating
Everyone knows you need help with something
Something that allows you special privileges to get out of class and skip out on gym but they don’t know what
Them trying to figure it out is what makes it so sickening
Every single detail of you being scrutinized
This lead to deep, intense insecurities issues in Toby
Wearing thick layers of clothing to hide his frame
Gloves to cover how he mindlessly chewed away the skin of his crooked fingers
Its not his fault they look that way
It’s easy to snap bones and dislocate joints when you can’t feel what you’re doing is wrong
Things are prone to healing incorrectly when you can’t tell their hurt
Toby’s physical health declined greatly as soon as he fell into Slender’s care
There are no ways to tell when he’s overheating, no proper medical care to fix things he didn’t know were broken
Toby’s body resembles a mangled mess, scars from broken bones and fingers that aren’t quite straight
His skin doesn't feel quite right on his body
It all makes him aversive to touch
Why would someone want to touch him when his body looks the way it shouldn’t
It does all offer some comfort though
Chewing away at the skin around his nails until he reaches flesh is somehow comforting
Popping his fingers out of place and then back in helps make breathing a bit easier
Even though it’s unhealthy he doesn’t know any better
There are so many holes in his memory he can barely string the past together, let alone menial details such as the limits of his body

// I get scared / of the things you could do to my heart / I don't care / I'll look into your eyes as you tear me apart //
FINISHED !!! 19 hours of playing around with this piece cleaning lines and colors, weighing lines, finding out that every drawing of Tarn's gun is different than all the others every time, shading on one layer without masks and a lot of selection tool use, and on and on!!!
uh I think this years gunna have a big emphasis on drawing for myself cause m feel guilty a lot of the time making pretty things that r indulgent so like... here's something incredibly indulgent that I originally started sketching on last year LOL . trying to draw for myself more but it's hard to draw in general cause i stress myself out abt it...
UH the link is a sparkbreaker playlist that's specific to this version of him. it's all playing off an idea i played around with in like?? late 2020 ?? when I first made him,,, of him ending up with the DJD and I would scribble that for fun cause I liked to draw Tarn, his design rules. then over the years me and Juice have running little bits of story about Sparks and Starstruck so I hadn't thought too hard abt my original lil scribbles much till I started spinning it together in the back of my mind more cohesively like over the last while? my favourite thing in making fanworks is piecing things together to work in the canon I'm basing things from. So I realized I could use the second lost lights existence and the stress from Slaughterhouse to have a secondary 'bad end' Sparks that gets killed sometime before lost light 👍
#Lots of talking under the read more but m wanted to at least halfly give context and yell abt how long this took me to draw#oc tag#maccadam#transformers#character design#fanart#mecha#oc sparkbreaker#tf oc#digital art#idw tarn#tarn#transformers oc#starstruck is technically in this piece but m not tagging him i'd feel mean LOL mean to my partners oc/sona ....DSFHSFH#if u wanna see some absurd little detailing that I did for fun simply zoom in anywhere
